not to pit two bad bitches against each other but i've been replaying halo and thinking about how the human (so to speak) side of war is portrayed. in halo 2, you get to run around new mombasa for a bit, a major metropolitan city, but it's essentially a ghost town. i personally don't look around and think of the lives lived and lost. i'm more concerned with not catching a particle beam between the eyes. EDITING TO ADD because i forgot about halo 3 i'm so sorry dear. but it's sort of the same thing as halo 2 isn't it? there's a potential flood outbreak on earth, half of the continent of africa is glassed to contain it, and that's just like... sort of it. we don't even see it happen, we just know it does via conversation between rtas and hood. it's a footnote in the story that is really more about chief and cortana's relationship

while the atmosphere in odst is absolutely wonderful, i feel it sort of suffers from the same thing. the optional audio logs that let you listen to sadie's story do help though. reach did the best job out of the bungie titles. you evacuate civilians from reach and watch shuttle transports get shot down. you watch new alexandria get glassed to shit. but while saving reach is the primary goal of noble squad (and later, when they realize they can't, making sure cortana gets off of reach safely), it still doesn't quite hit the same way the intro of mass effect 3 does

the reapers hit hard and fast and with nearly no warning. although the loss of life you personally witness is comparable to reach (shuttles getting shot down), you get to interact more with civilians and soldiers alike throughout the game. OF COURSE - this is because it's an action RPG. halo is decidedly not that. it's a conceit of the genre. there is more room in the narrative for mass effect to explore this side of the story. but still; you make the decision to tell civilians and children to stay safe or join the cause. and if you ask them to fight, you are asking them to die. what other choice is there? it's death today and hopefully others will live tomorrow, or certain death for everybody, period. you need to stall the reapers long enough to build the crucible, push back against them to buy yourself more time. and the only way to do that is throw numbers at them. people. it's a horrible decision to have to make. you find data pads from people's daily lives scattered around, you receive emails from people begging you to save their loved ones, you overhear conversations between people who had witnessed absolute hell

there's a lot of things i love about both games but man. that aspect of mass effect 3 always gives me something to chew on. the despair of it all and the stubborn hope in the face of it.

LMFAO ok so elese is the kind of girl that claims she isnt embarrassed by anything and frankly she doesn't get super easily embarrassed by her OWN actions often (both because she is kind of oblivious when it comes to insight and also she has an air of righteousness about everything that just screams Well If Nobody Liked what I Just Said then THEY Must Be Weird). BUT on the occasion where she knowssss she totally fucked up/said something weird around somebody shes close to THEN she gets embarrassed. she was raised to learn a rather pompous form of social etiquette so while she is stuck up she knows how to be polite at times. when she egregiously screws something up she really kicks herself for it lol. all of this to say she usually only really cares about this when shes around people shes close to (or if shes intimidated as hell) because elese loovvvveeeessss just saying things and acting like there will be no consequence because she's nobility

21. why do they get up in the morning? 

um 😍 i mean ORIGINALLY she woke up in the morning to continue her usual routine, didn't really have much ambition to push herself beyond her capabilities considering she wasn't in line to rise above her current station any time soon. she DID really love playing music though and considered that her biggest strength (and weirdly enough an act of rebellion????? her family probably didnt expect her to continue playing any instruments after they stopped hiring a tutor lol), so for a while she woke up to further that ambition!! CURRENTLY though she wakes up in the morning to survive another day and get this weird tadpole out of her head el oh el

23. how does envy manifest itself in them (they take what they want, they become resentful, etc)? 

SHES SO PETTY LMAOOOOOOO she gets envious so quickly too. her ego is so easily bruised its insane, and that is a one-sided grudge she carries around for a whillleeee. elese has only encountered a limited amount of people before and mostly all of them have done nothing but affirm her belief that she is the greatest bard around so her first encounter with other bards (that were on her level if not better than her) was just her being sooooo passive aggressive ghfdjkghskfgk. smiling so wide at alfira gritting her teeth going That Song was.............. 🙂 a Fine tribute 😀

27. what causes them to feel dread? 

QUITE A LOT especially now that she's outside in this totally unknown land. she's learning soooo much about what it's like out here and learning even more quickly that she is in NO WAY as prepared for anything as she thought she was lol. it's a tough lesson to learn but it's one she's gotta get over quickly bc shes got a bunch of people to fight and a long road ahead of her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

🐉 DRAGON — what is your oc's favorite mythical creature?

rafiq is a big fan of mythical creatures in general and loves watching shows and videos about it, or listening to podcasts during slow days at work. he's an avid reader of the revenant (a blogging site for paranormal investigators) and used to keep up with posts of the conspiracy group known as the hive, before they seemingly vanished at some point in time and stopped updating regularly. he loves the idea of bigfoot specifically but isn't in the right state of the country to investigate himself :( if he had the chance for it he 100% would though

since teddy works for CALAMITY which is an organization specified in monitoring and sometimes capturing strange phenomena all over the world, this is exactly the kind of thing that he works with. which is also exactly the reason why he HATES them LMFAO if anything they're all just troublemakers to him and he would like to get some rest. back when he still worked an office job for the organization he got very attached to some dustcatchers which are basically just little puff balls that cause chaos in the most dusty place of your home. that's about as close to a favorite mythical creature as it gets for him

yancey LOVES zombies. probably a little bit too much but i can't blame him because honestly same. he's watched every zombie media he's managed to get his hands on and will continue to do so for as long as he lives. it's funny because in this universe zombies do in fact end up as a thing somewhere but that's still a couple of years away so yancey doesn't know that yet. don't even worry about it

🍎 RED APPLE — where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace?

rafiq was born in san francisco! very far away from where he lives nowadays and he does miss it a lot more than he likes to admit, but also wouldn't wanna go back there even though he is still very much welcome with his parents who still live there. the place has too many bad memories and rafiq wouldn't be able to live there comfortably at all anymore

teddy was born and raised in raleigh, which is not all too far away from blightwood crossing. he moved to the west coast at some point when he went to join CALAMITY and ever since he's been on the move, visiting towns all across the united states and sometimes even to another country to do jobs for the organization. he's been in blightwood crossing for a while now; the job he's doing there hasn't been going well at all and he's lost contact with CALAMITY, so he's just stuck in town without direction

yancey is from atlanta and only recently moved to blightwood crossing, after a series of events caused him to no longer be welcome at home. despite his mixed feelings about the town now, he does still really love the place and its energy and often wishes he hadn't been forced to leave; but there's not much he can do about that now and he knows he's better off far, far away from there

💘 HEART WITH ARROW — what and/or who do(es) your oc consider the most important to them?

rafiq loves his parents to bits and misses them a lot. he also has a small group of friends in blightwood crossing, mainly his coworkers from the diner he works at, and he cares a lot about them too :^) eventually during the story he gets together with teddy and yancey and he loves them soooo much. btw. if you even care

teddy is very lonely in town. he doesn't have contact with his family anymore since he's not allowed because of CALAMITY and their rules, and he didn't really have many friends at the organization either; so he's stuck in a strange town where nobody likes him all that much and no one's out there missing him either :( during the story he grows closer with the other main characters and he ends up ride or die for them, being a very loyal guy in general

yancey is hesitant to make new friends in town despite it coming naturally for him, and he does end up caring a lot about the other main characters. he's very scared to have all of them ripped away from him in one sweep without warning, just like what happened before with his ex friends and family back in atlanta, but also knows there's no way to predict or prevent that from happening if it were to happen one day so he tries to ignore it as best as he can and not let it get in the way of enjoying the time he has with them

🍔 HAMBURGER — is your oc good at cooking? are they good at baking? which one do they prefer?

rafiq is decent enough at cooking. his father sends him a lot of recipes to try out and he can follow them well enough on most days, but often has to simplify them a little. baking is also not his expertise but he still loves doing it! usually does it with friends so it's a group effort (and a group failure if it doesn't go well) and it's more to have an excuse to hang out with them

teddy is a very good cook but just doesn't do it :/ he's living on instant noodles, microwaved rice, pizza, any meal he can get from the diner and then leftovers of that for the next day, tater tots, questionable quality dry bread with cheese, and sometimes he will pensively have a vegetable. he doesn't like baking all that much but also does enjoy hanging out with rafiq so he will bake with him. just this once (<- said every single time)

yancey is a GREAT cook which is why he ends up as a cook at the diner :^) he loves experimenting with cooking and coming up with his own recipes and while it doesn't always work out for him, he uses the knowledge from that to make something that DOES work out next time. also pretty good at baking but does that significantly less because he's stuck in the belief that baking is mostly sweet stuff and he prefers savory things. clearly this man has never had a pizza muffin before

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

rafiq is very expressive and a very active listener, which can take some getting used to when you're getting to know him. he likes actively adding his thoughts into a conversation and is good at relating to other people, which always makes for a very lively conversation :^)

teddy is basically a brick wall. you can't tell what's going on in his head you can't tell how he's feeling and sometimes you may even wonder if he just fell asleep standing up with his eyes open (it's not the case but with how far away his brain has zoomed out it may as well be). he's very easily distracted and gets lost in his own brain a lot which causes him to speak slowly and sometimes he just doesn't finish his sentences. he also cracks his knuckles a lot

yancey can be very witty at times but his brain lags behind when there's too many people talking so he doesn't control WHEN he gets to be witty. he does finger guns at people a lot or a little thumbs up because he never knows what to do with his hands so adding in a little gesture like that gives him something to focus on. it's very endearing :^)

😞 DISAPPOINTED FACE — does your oc attract others, or do they tend to be left alone?

rafiq is a people person and loves to chat with people, which is why customers at the diner tend to stay a lot longer when he's on the workfloor because he'll just end up talking with them for hours. despite being surrounded by people a lot, he can still get very lonely easily because actually connecting to people in a deeper way takes a lot more effort for him

teddy is probably the loneliest man in blightwood crossing at the start of the story. he mostly just stays at home and goes to a nearby bar and the diner and that's IT. sometimes the grocery store. he mostly just talks to the diner's waiters rafiq and yukiko and then the bartender and cashier and he's a regular in those places so they would recognize his face but they wouldn't even know his name. he's always been a bit lonely and just focusing on the task at hand by himself so it doesn't really bother him, but also just isn't aware of just HOW lonely he is so once he starts talking to people more he's like "ohh so my life was just really fucked up before. ok"

yancey makes new friends very easily because of his fun and kind nature and he's good at making other people feel at ease with him :^) he values his alone time a lot but also knows when it's time for him to get out of the house and hang out with people again, which is why his new job at the diner is very good for him. it gives him something fun to do that he also gets paid for AND he gets to hang out with his new friends because they all work there :D easy right? what could possibly go wrong

and i think he provides a very Very interesting contrast to his roomie- which is why i’m so fascinated by their dynamic. i could go on and on abt how they contrast each other but i’ll boil it down to just: kaveh seems to share similar end goals with him, but the way they go about those end goals is the Complete opposite. and i REALLY love that!!!!

ive developed a sorta fascination to charas who r the .. idk how to say. physical representation of themes in the story or the nation theyre part of LOL, like how xinyan represents the new age liyue is going into by introducing the Very New genre of rock n roll !! etc etc. n i think about nahida’s voiceline abt kaveh a lot: “He has an almost-perfect grasp of what it truly means for Sumeru to be a Nation of Wisdom.”

n i think that’s what he and his roomie represent- two opposing ideas that come from the same goal which should be the true goal for the akademiya: knowledge for knowledge’s sake. learning just to learn. to ask the questions nobody else would ask, n to uncover theories n truths that anyone else wouldnt bother to. the akademiya has long been blinded by prestige and trying to climb to the top that they forget what it means to just Learn New Things (society moment 😔), but these two have never wavered from that. their pursuit of knowledge is so pure, n that makes them probably 2 of the Only competent ppl in the entire goddamn akademiya HGKDBDJDB

with kaveh specifically i think he likes to absorb Everything he learns, and he has interests in a lot of things (soooo adhd of him ik). which is why despite being….. Essentially a tech major LOL, he’s also a huge romantic with an eye for aesthetics and a huge love for the arts, and it also explains why he also has other hobbies on the side, like magic tricks!! kaveh is a very… for lack of a better word, collectivistic(?? boy that is not a word) person. this not only shows with all his interests, but in the way he treats other scholars as well!! he went broke not only from building alcazarzaray- he also gives his funds to workers, and judging from scholars’ lines about him, hes very well liked in the akademiya!! hes very much a people person and likes to share whatever they need- he believes that helping others is a natural course of action!! in everything he does, he shares and is open to anything he feels is right

how would he feel?

i feel like this would be a very big deal for jin and he’d make sure you knew it too. with his hectic schedules and time being limited, the fact that you haven’t left him yet is a celebration within itself, but he still can’t help but wake up and feel like it’s a dream to be with someone he loves and admires so much.

what would y’all do?

definitely a stay in the house kind of day. you are an extreme homebody, so you didn’t have any problems with that. he would cook your favorite meal and the two of you would just eat and talk with each other about things going on. time would just be flying by with the two of enjoying each others company like it was a first date. your heart still skipped a beat when you heard his laugh, and his practically jumped out of his chest when your smiled radiated against him. expect passionate love time after your stomachs get settled as well.

what will he get you?

honestly, I feel like jin will get you a whole bunch of nick nack type of items that are special to your relationship like a picture of the two of you, a carving of a baby tiger that you can put on your table because that was your favorite animal to play with when he took you to the zoo, while also getting you a few personal things you like too, like a bracelet with your initials on it, a necklace with your favorite shape as the charm.

how would he feel?

yes, I’m fully aware that yoongi is not some emotionless man who doesn’t have a care in the world, but regardless I do think he’s a lowkey person. what I mean by this is that when it comes to your one year anniversary, he might feel head over heels about it, and want to plan this whole romantic thing for it, but you might catch him not exactly showing it by being all over you until later in the night. he would show you more affection with an abundance of gifts and not words.

what would y’all do?

you and yoongi usually just chilled together at your house or his when you both were free to, but for your anniversary you both agreed that you needed to leave the house and try something different. you both would get dressed up really nice, and go to an expensive restaurant, laughing at the prices of the food compared to the actual size of the meal and even though you ate it, you would end up getting fast food after. yoongi would not be able to keep his eyes off you and every time he saw you smile or heard you laugh, he would want to pull out a ring for you to be his for eternity.

what would he get you?

this is gonna so so typical lmao, but one of the things he would definitely do is write you a song. i feel like music is one of yoongi’s favorite ways to communicate, so writing you a song would be the first thing he thought of. secondly, he would get the two of you couple rings. he knew you always wanted those and he also agreed although he would never be caught saying it out loud that when the two of you were far apart, it would make him feel like you were still connected somehow. yoongi would also get you bags and bags of expensive clothes and hoodies, followed by a matching watch to the one you bought him for his birthday a couple months before.

how would he feel?

hoseok would be so overjoyed that you’ve made it this far, and you’re gonna know it. everyday that you’ve been together has done nothing but give him this warm feeling that he didn’t know he needed, and you truly are his best friend in the whole entire world. he loves you so much and is so grateful to have you so he’s going to do everything to make sure you understand that.

what would y’all do?

the one thing the other members always teased you and hoseok about was how “high end” you were. after you started dating hoseok, in his eyes you became one, so everything he had you had too. we all know how lavish he lives, and your 1 year anniversary would be nothing less than that. he will plan a 4 day trip to Japan. hoseok is taking you shopping until your arms fall off, you’re going to the most expensive restaurant, you’re going to the nicest hotel in the city, he’s going all out.

what would he get you?

i didn’t realize I lowkey said it above, but most definitely takes you shopping. he will legit just follow you around the store, letting you model everything you buy for him wishing he could do this all day. he’s also another member that will have you ICED OUT! more than any other member tbh. y’all will have so much matching jewelry, but his favorite was the gold J chain that you eagerly put around your neck.

how he feels about it?

oh does this boy love you more than anything. he might not have told you everyday, but you are his rock and his soulmate for real, yet he’s similar to yoongi in the sense that he’s not over the top about showing how he feels. actually, for the whole year you’ve been together namjoon has been lowkey, only allowing you to see his “soft” and complete boyfriend material side, nobody else. on his Instagram he posted a few aethstetic pictures and you could get the occasional women crush wednesday on his snap story, but the rest was really between the two of you. it was something you often complained about, which is why on the day of your one year namjoon really did try his best to be extra romantic.

what would y’all do?

another trip taker. he made it a surprise as he knew you’d never offer it even if you thought about it as you knew how tired he was. you woke in inside of a house with him sleeping beside you. yes, he rented a whole house for y’all to stay in for the weekend as he had to get back to work on Monday.

what did he get you?

instead of writing a song, he writes you a long poem about how favorite things about you and how much he loves you. namjoon isn’t much of a icy man, but he knows you love jewelry so he gets you plentiful.

how does he feel about it?

y’all know jimin is somehow a soft baby but at the same time the manliest man ever. like idk what it is about him, but I soooo see him as the “I’m sweet&goofy to my baby but I can also get serious” type of guy, and that’s definitely what you’re gonna see. he’s gonna take your one year very seriously and he's so blessed to have you in his life. for every day that you’ve loved him, you’ll get all that love back in one day. he knows y’all have had your ups and down and just like Jin there were times where he swore you would leave him because of the hectic schedule, but y’all made it and he loves you so much.

what will y’all do?

thankfully, your anniversary fell on a time period where bts had some time off, so he got you a week vacation to busan, where you two honestly didn’t do anything over the top compared to hoseok. the both of you were perfectly content staying in bed all day, catching up on all the love you missed out on while the two of you were at work. he’ll continually post you all over his (private) Snapchat story to brag to all of his friends and members about the great time you’re having, and he’ll cook for you legit everyday. like it might as well be your birthday because he’s not letting you love a muscle even though it’s a mutual event.

i feel like I’m saying jewelry for everyone but they all be low key blinged out I can’t help it. another couple ring appreciator. in yours, his initials were carved in the inside, and in his yours. he also gets you the most sentimental gift ever. a whole book with all your memories. pictures and pictures ft more pictures of every date, every selfie ugly or cute, and lastly a letter. in this letter jimin would tell you everything he’s never said. he’d tell you about how after the two of you hung up on FaceTime when he was on tour, he cried when he thought about the fact that he couldn’t touch you, kiss you, wipe your own tears away that he had just saw before the call ended. how just the sound of your laugh can cure any depression, sadness, or worrieness he feels. all of that.

it wouldn’t hit him until the day before that you two had made it this far. he would be so quiet and people would think he was upset, but in reality he couldn’t be happier. every memory would run through his mind, and it would put a permanent smirk on his face.

another trip taker. he asked you a month ago if you could go anywhere in the world where would it be, and you said Aruba. now you were in Aruba. he would be sure that he didn’t have any conflicting schedules, and would try to make it the best vacation ever. the two of you will do everything possible to do.

a lot of clothes. he had thought long and hard about it, and he felt this was the best thing to buy. he also wrote you a letter like jimin, but he wasn’t very confident in it. he tried his best to express himself on paper, but how could he put his love for you in words? it was impossible.

jungkook is going to try his hardest to be cool about everything. of course he will tell you how much he loves you, but he still will be fighting to be relaxed and calm about it all. it wouldn’t hit him until the day was over that he had truly reached a milestone with you.

in reality, he would want to take you on a trip so bad. he didn’t care where, he just wanted to get away with you. but he wasn’t allowed as bts was still promoting, so he had to settle on two days with you, promising more later. the fact that you said one day would’ve been okay made him feel even worse. he had let you plan it out since you told him you wanted to stay home. the two of you cooked together, failing horribly but making more memories. as you ate, you would just talk forever. it’s 1am, and you’re still talking. after that, you’re going to bed and not leaving until he has to leave again unless one of you have to pee.

when he gave you a bag of photos, you thought it would be pictures of you, and some were, but a lot were pictures of nature.

Falsetto’s Tour Review...

Sooo nobody caresss but I saw Toursetto’s Sunday June 2nd with Nick Adams as Whizzer, Max von Essen as Marvin, Eden Espinosa as Trina, Nick Blaemire as Mendel, Audrey Cardwell as Cordelia, Bryonha Marie Parham as Charlotte, Thatcher Jacobs as Jason an here are my thoughts ! 

♔ When I saw the block sitting in the middle of the stage I almost started crying ♔I couldn’t make out what they were saying at the beginning of Four Jews, but I’ve seen people say that Nick Adams says “Yeehaw” lol 

♔When Eden sings slavery-- she sings the OBC version instead of the higher notes Stephanie did ♔ I was sHOOK when Max opened his mouth to sing and sounded SO MUCH LIKE CHRISTIAN BORLE??? I was so WOW ♔ The Thrill of First Love gave me such a different vibe than the Revival version did. For starters, I did not hate Marvin in act one which is really unusual. In this song I usually view Marvin as mean and abusive, but I just felt myself feeling bad for him. This version of the song was more playful and less aggressive I think. ♔Whizzer doesn’t say “wash n’ wear” he says something like “what is this? A poly -blend?” ♔Marvin rips open Whizzers shirt and damn Nick Adams has some serious muscles lol ♔NICK BLAEMIRE??? Was soooo funny. He had me laughing to the point of tears. He was absolutely amazing. ♔ I didn’t realize in ‘Marvin at the Psychiatrist’ Whizzer was pissed when they called him ‘smarmy’ ♔Jason is so cute and his voice is so big ♔ When he says “just because you failed as parents” he says it through his teeth and his voice is really quiet ♔ I’m not sure what it was about Max portrayal, but he was literally just sad and decrepit. (Of course I didn’t like Marvin, but he just felt less mean) ♔ When they pull the chair away from him at the end of This Had Better Come to a Stop, Marvin turns and literally face plants ♔I’m breaking down was absolutely the highlight of Act I. Eden Espinosa was absolutely fucking amazing. like, i’m not sure y’all who are monoracial understand - i specifically started watching b99 for the interracial relationship representation of jake/amy. that was the sole reason i started watching this show. ofc, the show has done lots of other cool stuff for rep since then, but seeing as that was the core reason i started watching at all, i’d hope you would all understand how long i have been w a i t i n g for actual canon references to and portrayals of the interracial dynamic of jake and amy’s relationship, especially pertaining to their future children being mixed race! so for this to be the first mention of the latter at all in the show, i was very annoyed.

Pretending: A Gertchase fic

Okay sooooo I decided to write a gertchase fic based on episode 9 of runaways because I’ve literally watched it everyday since it came out. Anyways this is pretty much just the plot of episode 9 except with gert’s thoughts added and my interpretation of the sex scene since it wasn’t actually shown haha. Anyways I was gonna put this on Ao3 but there’s a waiting list to be able to write?? Lmfao I really never knew that since this is the first thing I’ve actually written so I just decided to put it on here. Hopefully people actually see this and like it soooo anyways let me stop rambling and let y’all read the fic.

“Ah stop, just stop please” I said playfully to Molly before leaving my car. I didn’t want to admit it, but Molly was right. I did do all this for Chase. The dress, the necklace, the makeup. It wasn’t just for a cover story like I had told Molly even though she definitely knew I was lying. I open the doors to the dance and immediately hear the music and see everyone dancing and having a good time. I start walking around to find Chase and there he is. I see him on the stair case, he’s wearing a black suit and looking as handsome as ever. I flash him a slight smile and when he sees me he starts heading towards my direction.

“Can you believe we were ever a part of this?” Chase asks me once we’re within talking distance

“I never really was” I say back to him. And I wasn’t. I was just the purple haired feminist who had no friends. I was never a part of the crowd like Chase was. He was a jock, popular, and was so unbelievably attractive. Basically the total opposite of me.

“What do you mean?” Chase says back to me obviously confused

“I never thought that. I may have said that often and loudly but it was a defense mechanism because (I’m in love with you) I felt ignored” I say to him explaining myself. I then see Chase’s face drop and I turn around to see Eiffel walking into the dance with Brandon. Damn. Chase’s Ex and Ex Friend. Together.

“Well looks like my invisibility’s contagious. And that Brandon stole your life” I say trying to lighten the mood a little.

“He can have it. That life was bullshit. As messed up as things are right now, at least we know the truth. Who our friends are, who our parents are, it might suck, but it’s real” Chase says to me surprisingly. But he was right. Even though I (we) just found out our parents are murderers and seriously messed up I did reconnect with 4 friends who are now practically my family since we’re all going through this together.

“I think the boy just became a man” I then say to Chase jokingly.

“About time I guess, since tonight may be our last night on earth” Chase says reminding me of the whole reason we’re even here at this dance. I can’t believe that this is real. My possible last day living and there are so many things I want to do that I haven’t done. Okay Gert. It’s time to be bold.

“Well if that’s how it is, then I’d like one last dance” I say to Chase before grabbing his hand. I then pull him away from the crowd and we start walking down the hall until I see a door that leads to another hall I bring Chase in and he closes the door behind him. We both start laughing seeing as we just walked in on someone’s previous wedding celebration. Well I wish Zev and Hannah Tannenbaum a very happy marriage. We then go to the middle of the floor and we start slow dancing. I look into his eyes and he looks into mine and just for a split second I forget about everything wrong in this world. Getting a little more comfortable I bring my arms around his shoulders and put my hands on the back of his neck while he puts his hands on my waist. I then lay my head on his chest and I swear it fits perfectly Wow if this really is my last day on earth then I’m happy I got to do this. Dancing with Chase Stein who I’ve loved ever since I knew what love was.

“I always saw you” Chase says bringing me out of my thoughts

“I know you did” I softly say back to him while smiling. I then look up and see Chase looking at me. He starts to lean in and I do the same and once our lips touch I swear it’s like magic. This is all I’ve ever wanted for so long and it’s actually happening right now. His lips are so soft and he is such a good kisser. We continue to kiss and things start heating up. I take off my dress which conveniently just unties like a robe. I then take off his suit jacket and help him with unbuttoning his shirt. Before I know it we’re on the couch almost completely naked and Chase is searching for a condom in his wallet. “We should go” Chase says breaking the awkward silence. Karolina then says “mhm” before wiping the lipstick off her mouth as we all start walking to my car. It’s a silent ride to the construction site and I was secretly hoping that Chase would sit in the front with me but sadly Alex already had shotgun. Once we get there and start walking towards the entrance someone I’m assuming a security guard stops us. Luckily Karolina was able to get us in since apparently the Gibborim Church runs the site now. We all split off to do different things. Nico is keeping watching with her shield, Molly is moving the truck into the hole with Alex and Karolina with her which leaves Chase and I. He then grabs my hand and brings me to this huge control panel that runs everything at the site once we get there he starts tapping random things on the control screen and I have absolutely no clue what he’s doing.

“What is this an on off switch? Cause that’s about all you could manage” I say to him

“Are you mad at me? About what happened between us?” Chase says obviously clueless “What? That we had sex in the middle of the Tannenbaum wedding and didn’t even stop to talk about it or define the relationship?” I say upset

“That was an hour ago! And now we’re trying to prevent California from dropping in the ocean!” He says to me. There is then a quick silence and he continues

“I’m not trying to say what happened wasn’t also important but- “ I stop Chase before he continues

Fuck. Did I really just ruin whatever it is between us? I know I was kind of aggressive about talking about us having sex but I just wanted to know. No I need to know that he feels the same way as me.
