no bc sansa is so annoying especially the show version like so annoying that makes me want to punch her. her fans are so biased because the show version was so far from iconic in comparison to dany arya cersei. the acting mediocre and sophie just gave those secondary character vibes that are shallow and annoying but that they have fans bc people feel insecure about actual powerful characters like arya and dany and olenna asha margaery little lyanna etc. and the show really started to go downhill in s5 when they tried to shove sansa in our faces everywhere and give her importance lmfaoo. plus sophie is such a loser and racist but she really was such a narcissist that she went to therapy just because people aren’t loving her and sansa as much as arya or dany lol. and now is trying to stay relevant by making a movie with kit for the jonsa fans😂😭 both are so annoying and they are friends bc only they can stand each other from the cast istgg
I don't like any version of sansa. But you are right the show version was the worst. They tried to make her centre of everything in the show while sansa is a secondary character at best in the books. They also gave her aryas iconic dialogs which are said by ned only to arya and only ever appear in aryas arc like 'the lone wolf dies but the pack survives' also they stole aryas needle aesthetic and gave it to sansa too. They stole so many things from aryas actual character and made arya a robot.
Arya and Dany are the protagonists and the showrunners wanted that for sansa too much when she is not. Sansa is not even on the same level as arya and dany. And she is not a part of key five characters dany, arya, jon, bran and tyrion.
And don't even get me started on 'jonsa' its a craship for hell and based on complete going against jons character. Of course for these people its about the actors. And didn't turner many times used the 'n' word? She is a proved racist and narcissist. That ship is cancer for me.

I know there's already been a lot of complaints about GOT's Rhaegar and Lyanna. But, I finally finished my GOT's rewatch, and I was just thinking this whole scene: what the fuck is this dress?
This show became known for its costumes. I mean, look at Cersei's dresses! Margaery is almost always slaying, and Dany looks majestic (minus the low effort Dothraki outfits, but we aren't going to go into that). But by the last few seasons everything just fell off (not just the writing lol). The main part of that is they got a new costume designer (I think anyway).
But this dress specifically just really pisses me off. Lyanna has become such a legendary character by the end of the show, so why is so little effort put into her? Her dress is so plain and boring, not even in a way that could communicate how she ran away, it's just lazy. They do nothing to incorporate the important symbols of her story (like the blue rose) aside from some leaves.
Speaking of the leaves, that collar thing is hideous. It looks like something a celebrity would were to the met gala, and not in a good way. Like I can practically feel it pulling on her hair. It just looks ridiculous and not even trying to be in the fantasy aesthetic.
I think this outfit is emblematic of how little effort they put into Lyanna's character. She has massive impact on the story from beyond the grave, yet she's just reduced to the dead mom of the hero. Her rejection of social norms and traditional femininity is glossed over, along with her actual personality.
This makes sense with how the show treats non-conforming women. Acknowledging and portraying Lyanna as she is in the books would undermine their efforts to demonize nontraditional women. It would also require them to make the parallels between Lyanna and Arya.
By the time of the flashback, D&D have solidified Sansa as their favorite Stark. So putting any effort into Arya's storyline and character would take away from the gratuitous spotlight on Sansa. Actually making Lyanna into a realistic person would detract from the borderline psychopath Arya narrative.
In conclusion: I hate the dress, I hate what D&D did to Lyanna, and I hate GOT.

I Think Jacaera’s wedding gown (The Golds) was fine but @ artist-ellen’s design of Margaery or Alicent’s wedding gown would work so much for her✋🏽I just know that Margaery’s design for the flowers Jace had on her gown and Alicent’s design's hairstyle and hairpieces, the maiden cloak and the dress would be so good on her
I am a fan of artist-ellen! I saw those gowns you referenced and they are gorgeous. Jace’s wedding dress was actually inspired by Margaery’s Purple Wedding dress, so there’s already a Margaery connection!
I am by no means an expert on fashion history. I have read enough that I can trick laypeople into thinking I know what I’m talking about, but I really don’t. 😂
When I write my HOTD fics, I consider historical accuracy as one factor, but I also consider modern aesthetics. 🤷🏻♀️ Actual medieval clothes can look kinda silly sometimes, IMO. And GOT costuming set a precedent for taking inspiration from all sorts of cultures/time periods, so I’m following that lead. ☺️
But I’m always up for leaning more about these topics, so if people want to talk medieval fashion, fire away!

I hear GOT costume slander I immediately run over lmao
Okay look- I know absolutely NOTHING about costume design, absolutely zip. Idk anything about embroidery or symbolism or whatever with costumes. But even through my untrained and unknowledgable eyes I still know the GOT costuming is AWFUL. Its honestly so ugly to me and even before the costume spiralled down into ugly black leather costumes, none of the outfits are memorable to me. The colors (especially for the dresses) are so freaking dull and washed out. Theres not a single pop of color that catches my eyes or interesting patterning or embroidery that doesn't require me having to zoom in just to see it.
Its such a downgrade compared to the books. I LOVE reading the fashion and clothes GRRM describes. Sansa's dresses sound so lovely and everytime a piece of armor or gown is described in detail I swoon. And honestly? I don't really care about symbolism or messages or whatever being told through costuming. Its fine during important events but when EVERY single piece of costume was made with the intent of 'hmmm what does this symbolises and tell about the characters motivation???' it makes the costume so repetitive. Yeah yeah I get it Cersei wears black now cuz power or whatever. Tell me why you don't dress her in RED which is her house color and can give out the message of her being into power by imposing her house symbol and RED IS STILL A POWERFUL COLOR TOO.
Also sorry not sorry but the dresses all look so cheap and strangely kind of washed out. Sansa's purple dress was... fine but where is her lovely blues and greens? Cersei should be bedecked in dripping jewels and rich embroidery whenever she comes on screen. I don't watch medieval inspired shows and movies much but the best dress in GOT looks poor af in comparison with other shows and movies
first of all, you're valid for wanting to slander the costumes aldskjfd i think i'm so shitty about it specifically because they started using got wigs on outlander and jaime went from having gorgeous luscious locks to having a bird's nest on his head, and they stuck some dry ass margaery-sparrow type wig on my main girl brianna for like three seasons in a row it was HELL for me. i can't STAND a dry wig okay lasjfdlk

i'm definitely not a costume expert, much like everything else i talk about i am just a hater with an internet connection and a job that enables my fixations on random subjects lmao. i think black leather can be used well but it can't be everyone wearing it. like my favorite show, farscape, really leans into the black leather look for the main character, crichton, and his partner, aeryn sun, and the villain/pet bad guy scorpius, especially in later seasons. but notably there's several characters who consistently wear really bright costumes like D'argo, Sikozu, Chiana, and the black leather makes sense for crichton, aeryn, and scorpius being that the second two are peacekeepers who are like Fascist Allegory so they lean into the black and red aesthetic, and crichton is a human who looks like the main Fascist Species, so the only clothes he gets are often peacekeeper cast offs (something they discuss often in the show as a matter of fact!). there's just TEW MUCH of it in got. and i agree, i think it's not so much the embroidery or colors being bad as it is they use those ugly ass filters to visually differentiate between the different areas even tho like. moroccco and iceland look nothing alike!! so you lose a lot of really great details under that ugly haze.
Its such a downgrade compared to the books. I LOVE reading the fashion and clothes GRRM describes. oooo but see george is also putting symbolizism into the outfits!! like cersei's revenge dress with the rubies for example! or sansa wearing tully blue to meet with bronze yohn. another thing is that, for example, pink was a more masculine color because it was associated with blood, so for roose, wearing a cape of pink with droplets of blood, that is a STATEMENT, ya know? or how joffrey will frequently wear lannister colors over baratheon ones, or mix baratheon and lannister colors. you're even doing symbolism in that last part - cersei wearing red because it's her house color, it's a targaryen house color and she idolizes rhaegar, and it sets her apart from robert! i think the problem is again, michele had such a narrow definition of power that it made all her later outfits so samey - but that's similar for like half the bts stuff on got lmao, they had such a narrow definition of power, it's why Dany's story is so chopped up, it's why Sansa is melded into Jeyne Poole, it's why Jon Snow is turned into an action hero instead of his canon storyline, etc.
Also sorry not sorry but the dresses all look so cheap and strangely kind of washed out. Sansa's purple dress was… fine but where is her lovely blues and greens? Cersei should be bedecked in dripping jewels and rich embroidery whenever she comes on screen. I don't watch medieval inspired shows and movies much but the best dress in GOT looks poor af in comparison with other shows and movies
I ACCEPT NO PURPLE DRESS SLANDER aldsjfkd but NO YOU'RE RIGHT there's so many outfits that are described, there's house colors, and they're important to these characters! They wear jewelry! They have fancy armor!! But it's nowhere to be seen!!

People who believe in ashford theory and then link it to Aegon vi because 'alliance' are like those who make far fetched theories about Jon marrying Asha, Arianne, Margaery or all three etc. because 'alliance'. Why, when, how? Nobody knows. Believe me i have read these theories on the hellsite called westeros.org. No foreshadowing, no sense, no reason, just vibes.
Wait there are people writing serious metas about Jon and *checks notes* Asha…? I mean I understand Arianne (no i don’t, not from a non-aesthetic standpoint at least) and Margaery (in fanfics). But why would any of them marry Jon for …. an alliance?
Asha is already married, most probably with a kid on the way, and most likely the future ruler of the Iron Islands. Arianne is already the heir apparent to the whole ass kingdom of Dorne, why would she want an alliance with the North and not the neighbouring lands or even Essos (like her mother)? Same with Margaery, why would she not marry someone politically important to her family and the Reach? Why North?
If they’re thinking that Jon will lean into his Targ heritage and take over the IT, wouldn’t that be with Dany? (acc to their logic) so alliance goes straight out the window there as well.
I mean it’s all fun and games when you’re shipping them because you might like them together but it’s another thing to straight up claim them to be more probable than the one ship you don’t want canon. At one point you have to ask yourself if you’re writing these metas because you genuinely believe in them or simply because you want Sansa out of the way.
#don’t get me started on Westeros.org buddy#it’s filled with self-assured assholes who’ll try and convince you the world’s a cube#they’re big brained men who hate little girls#i mean you couldn’t scroll through a paragraph without coming across sansa hate and/or her being written about inseparably from the hound#if you saw sansa san/san would only be a line away#sigh#jonsa#anon asks t

To me Lestat has the looks and incestuous tendencies of a Lannister, but the rebelious heart of a Stark.
I agree that Armand fits the description of the Dayne house, but he also kinda seems like a mix of Baelish and Margaery Tyrell (I mean that as a compliment).
You’re so right about the stark likeness! Especially with the “wolfkiller” title! Lestat is a little bit like a cross between Jaime Lannister and Robb Stark, but Gabrielle is definitely a Cersei.
“a mix between Baelish and Margaery Tyrell” is actually so perfect I love that its so perfectly awful. I see him as a Dayne mostly because the mystery of House Dayne is very in character for him as well as that I have always seen House Dayne as very South Asian/Desi aesthetic- wise, but ALSO the colour of House Dayne is purple, and we know about Armand’s purple shirt now…

Favorite and least favorite costumes from GOT/HOTD?
I'm not a huge fan of the costuming on either lol but I think HOTD did have some strong pieces and GOT occasionally had some good ones? some that I liked:
In terms of HOTD, loved Rhaenyra’s ceremonial garb, it gave me a sense of the Targs having their own history and aesthetic. Jace and Luke’s dragon rider outfits I really liked as well, especially as they seemed to riff off the same aesthetic. I generally liked Alicent’s costumes too, they didn’t always seem to align w her character but they generally looked great and I think the one above at least did. For GOT, liked Oberyn’s looks generally especially this yellow one lol. Joffrey’s outfits were consistently good imo, v characterful w striking silhouettes. And this Dany one from Astapor I like as well: top half she seems somewhat innocent and unassuming, but the trousers/boots beneath the skirts show she knows what she’s here to do.
Have reached the image limit but I also liked Myrcella’s outfits in Dorne: I can’t say they meant much given she had no personality for them to align with but…. I would like to own them they were v pretty :)
Outfits I DIDN’T like…. lol. Well to start with it’s hard to even point to the men’s costumes because they were so forgettable all round (maybe that’s why Oberyn and Joffrey stand out so much to me) so here’s some of my least favourite women’s costumes.
Everyone hates the stupid Margaery dress but for me Sansa’s Eyrie dress is the all time low. Just everything they made for the Dark Sansa look was fucking awful, and Sansa’s whole wardrobe never really recovered. I’m okay with her coronation dress but I don’t love it.
Cersei’s swallow dress I’ve talked about before - it is just so ludicrously inappropriate for her character. Shout out also to this black costume from S7 which always reminds me of a recycled black rubber pencil case I used to have at school that said ‘I used to be a car tyre’ on the front.
Again, image limit reached but generally, I felt like HOTD couldn’t work out what to do with Milly Alcock and Emma D’Arcy’s wardrobes especially: few of their clothes seemed to be cut right for them, which is frustrating because when they were dressed well they looked amazing as Rhaenyra. In particular, there was a lack of attention to the waist of the dresses, so you got a lot of detail at the top whilst the rest hung down like a vaguely shaped sack. I hope they try something different next season

Beauty standards in Westeros: wild beauty is beautiful?
Beauty is a huge topic in this fandom, specially in relation to some female characters. And different from the male characters, their physical traits are often put on higher ground than other aspects.
I know that we live in a society obsessed with ~aesthetics~ and with an ideal of beauty that is Eurocentric, ableist, and youthful; so it makes sense that the people (and their opinions) in this fandom reflects these ideals too.
(sigh) Anyway… Westeros is a fictional fantastical world set in a medieval era and this world too holds its sets of standards and ideals regarding beauty, and we can see how they affect the story/journey of some important characters; here I want to focus on the idea of the wild beauty associated with Arya and Lyanna Stark because it's a subjective enough word to cause a lot of confusion.
Now; suppose we all know how detrimental to women these beauty standards are, we cannot ignore that fact that they matter, they were made for a reason, and they serve a purpose in westerosi society:
First, it separates noble from commoners;
A Feast for Crows - Cersei III, Cersei compares Margaerys features to those of common people.
"Even peasant girls are pretty at a certain age, when they are still fresh and innocent and unspoiled, and most of them have the same brown hair and brown eyes as she does."
A Storm of Swords - Jon II, Jon's first impression of Ygritte.
"At a lord's court the girl would never have been considered anything but common, he knew. She had a round peasant face, a pug nose, and slightly crooked teeth, and her eyes were too far apart. Jon had noticed all that the first time he'd seen her, when his dirk had been at her throat."
By these recollections only, it seems like peasants have a certain look that is recognizable and sets them apart from noble people.
Without a deep analyses, we can already conclude that no Stark woman is common looking or plain. Their looks can be set apart from peasants and from among most other houses such as the Tyrell, its pretty signifying of their old noble blood:
Arya Stark - long face, gray eyes, brown hair, skinny and athletic body. Arya has the "wolf blood".
Sansa Stark - high cheekbones, blue eyes and "auburn hair lighter than her mother's".
Catelyn Stark - fair skin, blue eyes and auburn hair.
Lyanna Stark - Long face, gray eyes and brown hair. Slim body and tomboyish. Lyanna had too much of the wolf blood.
Edited: I’m not saying that peasants and common people are ugly, what I’m saying (what I deduced from reading the excerpts) is that compared to noble woman, common women are considered plain by noble people standards.
And the fact that most of these ladies are tied to one of the most traditional and old lineages in Westeros means that they don’t fit the common or plain category by Westeros beauty standards.
Second, it increases women's chance at a good marriage;
A Storm of Swords - Catelyn VI - Edmure and Catelyn talk about his betrothal to Roslin Frey.
"She's prettier than I dared hope." Edmure raised a hand before she could speak. "I know there are more important things, spare me the sermon, septa. Even so . . . did you see some of those other maids Frey trotted out? The one with the twitch? Was that the shaking sickness? And those twins had more craters and eruptions on their faces than Petyr Pimple. When I saw that lot, I knew Roslin would be bald and one-eyed, with Jinglebell's wits and Black Walder's temper. But she seems gentle as well as fair." He looked perplexed. "Why would the old weasel refuse to let me choose unless he meant to foist off someone hideous?"
"Your fondness for a pretty face is well known," Catelyn reminded him.
During the entire ordeal of a betrothal between a Frey daughter and Lord Edmure Tully, the latter complained about being denied of choice.
This is important because it shows exactly how it works for them: High lords who inherit castles and land can choose whichever lady they want, while ladies need to compete among themselves to try and get a good proposal, from where they can find security.
Robert Baratheon was to be Warden of the Stormlands at the time he was entertaining a marriage to Lyanna. Let's be honest now; do you think this asshole, the guy who fucks any pretty thing with a pair of tits without thinking, would settle for anything but a comely lady for a wife?
Of course there is the matter of her name and noble blood at play but just like Edmure, "his fondness for a pretty face was well known" and his feelings for Lyanna too:
"You never knew Lyanna as I did, Robert," Ned told him. "You saw her beauty, but not the iron underneath."
A Game of Thrones - Eddard VII
Edited: I’m not even questioning the physical characteristics that women need to have to be seen as beautiful. I think Edmure Tully’s speech at the quote I picked says a lot already, but in short: the preference that these privileged men show towards certain ladies is enough to know what is the standard held by Westeros society as a whole.
At last and most important, it reinforces the gender roles assigned to woman:
This is not supposed to be a critic to any of the women mentioned or their ways, but a critic of the people who praise certain traits and vilify others less soft ones.
About Elia:
"...the Stark girl, who was by all reports a wild and boyish young thing with none of the Princess Elia's delicate beauty."
"Princess Elia was a good woman, Your Grace. She was kind and clever, with a gentle heart and a sweet wit."
About Margaery:
"The girl no older than Robb, very pretty, with a doe's soft eyes and a mane of curling brown hair that fell about her shoulders in lazy ringlets. Her smile was shy and sweet."
About Sansa:
"Soft-spoken sweet-smelling Sansa, who loved silks, songs, chivalry and tall gallant knights with handsome faces."
Gentle, delicate, sweet, soft-spoken and other variants of these adjectives are used to describe these ladies in particular when mentioning their beauty. All these adjectives are found at the appearance section of their pages on Wiki of westeros.
Westerosy woman have little to no say in the decisions regarding their own lives, noble women are always at the mercy of a father, husband, or another man. They are raised to become two things only: a wife and a mother and again gentle, delicate, sweet, soft-spoken are words often related to motherhood and romance.
Wild, willful, stubborn and outspoken are completely different things from gentle, delicate, sweet and soft-spoken. In fact, they are opposite, and that's where the concept of "Wild beauty" draws so much confusion.
Edited: I’ve seen people interpret wild as unkept, savage, plain and/or ugly. The word in itself is not typically used to refer to one’s appearance, but to landscape or actions. But when the wild beauty idea come in George’s text is always to highlight Lyanna/Arya’s different look as well as character compared to southern ladies.
To use someone else’s perspective that is not their loving brother/father (since this means he is biased and unreliable as a narrator, *sarcasm*):
In The World of Ice and Fire - The Fall of the Dragons: The Year of the False Spring
“The crowning of the Stark girl, who was by all reports a wild and boyish young thing with none of the Princess Elia's delicate beauty, could only have been meant to win the allegiance of Winterfell to Prince Rhaegar's cause, Symond Staunton suggested to the king.”
The juxtaposition of the descriptors Wild x Delicate makes the case stronger when we remember that the delicate quality that Elia had comes from her frail and fragile health.
In conclusion:
Lyanna Stark was a beautiful woman with beautiful attributes, her beauty was well known and no one could deny. On the other hand, she lacked the womanly shape desired from most men and had too much force of will to be accepted by the southern court.
Arya Stark is a girl still growing into her features, her looks, and personality are similar to her aunt's even as a young girl. It's not hard to see that she will become as beautiful as Lyanna was said to be.
The wild beauty is in their physical traits but something else too, more ethereal and impalpable, the wolf blood.
Their wild beauty it's a set of all that Westeros holds as beautiful, added to what they fear the most: a strong, willed mind.
That's it, if anyone read so far: thank you for your patience. I am incapable of being brief. I wrote this with my own memory and research, so if I missed something, feel free to add to it. Also, if you are one of those stans who complain about others calling Arya beautiful: fuck you.

✦ 𝒊𝒊𝒊 , the backstory .
daphne's father was part of a rising band in the 90s , toured all over small venues in a couple of cities that the group slowly rose to a known local name in united kingdom. her mother on the other hand was a proper english woman , and was finishing a degree at oxford when they meet. while they may have been sickeningly head over heels with each other , everyone seemed to have been against the relationship. he was no proper lad , her mother's parents said , and she was a mere distraction , her father's bandmates countered. their liaison only strengthens however when daphne's mother left her life and cut ties with her family to join his tour.
it is where daphne was conceived , london that is , while her father's band toured around the bigger cities. and it had also become her upbringing— from the chaos backstage to the unpredictability of life on the road that it almost felt as though she was born to understand how it was to live a life with no structure. this life however did meet its problems , and the band members weren't seeing eye to eye , their priorities shifting especially daphne's father. eventually , the band broke it off by the time daphne was about to start school and finally decided they settle someplace where daphne wouldn't be under scrutiny.
america was an enormous adjustment for her parents , but daphne has instantly grown to love it especially when her father brings her to his gigs around new york. it wasn't the music per se , but rather the spotlight that interested daphne , and since then she knew she'd love to be on stage one day.
daphne's mother had hoped she would pursue something else other than something so ... unstructured. acting began as a hobby , still a quite harmless obsession , until she began skipping classes for shows and abandoning home for days for potential gigs which was very reminiscent of her father , a realm in which her mother has started to openly regret.
she had become quite the defiant child , very reckless and never thought of the possible consequences of her actions as long as she secures what she wants. she grew distant from her parents , and especially so when the divorce rolled in so suddenly and she moves to connecticut with her mother.
✦ 𝒊𝐯. , the character notes .
college was more than just pursuing her dreams , it's freedom , and she's intoxicated. daphne's known around school for her reckless behavior and her rampant involvement in school events. she's that girl everyone is familiar with as her gregarious persona relishes in mingling with anyone and everyone.
daphne's not one to be shy about her sexuality , and has slept with a number of students regardless of people's opinions. there's something very liberating about getting the attention she'd always been dreaming of since younger , and she takes advantage of her good looks to get what she wants.
genuinely loves writing , hence writing for the school paper , but since she exudes the common conception of a dumb blonde , people get quite shocked that she writes for the grey wolf gazette — and it only made sense for her to report on events where she's always found at.

𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠.
i'm no cactus expert, but i know a prick when i see one.
aesthetic : a charming smile turning feral, covering mirrors to avoid your own reflection ( or perhaps so you stop seeing things ), staying up all night to see the sunrise just to make sure it still comes up, longing for the irresponsibility of childhood when you didn't know what you know now, burying your past six feet under, wishing on every stay in the night sky, a matchstick heart waiting to burn, flowers growing back with thorns, a face straight out of myths, the smell of honeysuckle and freshly cut grass lingering when you leave, sarcasm was always your best friend.

Do you think Sansa is attracted towards women? Her inner monologue towards Margaery, Mya or Myranda suggests me so or maybe George is just writing her thoughts towards these girls through the lens of a man.
I don't know? I know that many fans read her this way, and that's perfectly valid and lovely? It's not a vibe I personally got while reading, but that doesn't mean it's not notable for others.
I don't think GRRM The Author is intentionally writing her that way, not any more than I think he meant for Ned's infamous descriptions of Young!Robert to sound as bedazzled as they do. It's less ambiguious with Jon and Satin, where the descriptive language focuses on his scent and softness Very Repeatedly, but even there I think GRRM isn't necessarily trying to say something about the specific relationship between the characters and more about the aesthetic relationship of the POV to the world around them. Specifically with Jon, you also have his descriptions of Val, which certainly make note of her beauty but - to me(!) - feel notably devoid of any actual sexual component. Unlike, say, Sansa mentally undressing Loras or Cersei's immediately loaded language describing Taena Merrywheather.
Sansa, Ned, Jon, even Jaime, certainly Brienne, and Quentyn, probably others - most characters associated with a certain romanticism or (broken) idealism also have a distinct eye for beauty and imagery in the world around them, and strong opinions on it, their perception of the world is guided by a focus on where things align in a particularly striking way, or where they fail to, and they make note of it frequently.
Take this introductory paragraph in Jaime's first POV. He gets visceral pleasure from the sheer force of the natural beauty around him, and then immediately makes note of Brienne's imperfections to the point of imagining them in even greater detail, too. That's not necessary, neither thing, but it tells us a lot about Jaime's relationship with whimsy and ideals and how harshly he judges deviation.
An east wind blew through his tangled hair, as soft and fragrant as Cersei's fingers. He could hear birds singing, and feel the river moving beneath the boat as the sweep of the oars sent them toward the pale pink dawn. After so long in darkness, the world was so sweet that Jaime Lannister felt dizzy. I am alive, and drunk on sunlight. A laugh burst from his lips, sudden as a quail flushed from cover.
"Quiet," the wench grumbled, scowling. Scowls suited her broad homely face better than a smile. Not that Jaime had ever seen her smiling. He amused himself by picturing her in one of Cersei's silken gowns in place of her studded leather jerkin. As well dress a cow in silk as this one. (ASOS, Jaime I)
Whether that kind of focus on imagery has to intersect into attraction every time is for the individual reader to decide. I lean toward less so, others freely enjoy the appeal of it.
A good time for all.

amelia was the last of the fairchild children born to the head of the valanya institute and had fairly big shoes to live up to. there were so many expectations upon her from an early age that very easily could have broken her. she couldn't understand why 'the law is hard, but it is the law,' and things couldn't be a bit more...flexible. that belief followed her into her later years. a dutiful daughter turned into a brazen young shadowhunter.
while she loves her siblings and would do anything for them (even break the law), she still feels a bit of jealousy towards them, like she's living in their shadows. it's tough being the youngest and feeling like every accomplishment has already been achieved. it's led her to be a bit more reckless in her pursuit of being a worthy shadowhunter. there's so many things they did first or were better at that she's trying so hard to prove that she measures up as well.
she's very much worried about the situation with the king, especially as her family has long served the crown. in theory, she knows they should be loyal, but her own morality wars with that knowledge, especially as it's become more than clear that things are not right in the kingdom. and with the threat of an all-out war on the horizon, amelia feels like an axe is hanging above them all; she's just not sure who will ultimately lose in the end. she's just hoping her family can escape as unscathed as possible.

TW: death, murder, parental manipulation Roxanne has known wealth and status since her birth in Chongqing, China. When she was 12, the Wu family moved to California, expanding their business to the United States. She was a top student, with glowing reports from all of her teachers. Her extracurriculars were packed, and she presented the perfect picture of a successful daughter.
When she was 17, plans of being the perfect daughter screeched to a halt because she met Danny Nguyen. They say the first love is the most intense, and that was true for her. He wasn't a bad influence, per se, but her parents didn't approve. He didn't have the right status for her to date him, and they forbid a relationship with him. That didn't stop her from sneaking off to see him in secret though.
Secrets don't always stay secret. When her parents found out that she'd been defying them and seeing Danny in secret they didn't confront her. Her parents simply hired someone to eliminate him from the equation. Roxanne was unaware, and from her point of view she lost her everything to a breaking and entering that went wrong. She had to take a year off of college because her grief interfered with her studies. All the time her parents played the caring card, comforting her and saying they would support her decision so long as she went back when she was ready.
Eventually she swore off of love, and returned to the only thing that made sense in her life anymore: school and being the ideal daughter. She finished college, going immediately to law school where she doubled down and worked even harder. She worked as a lawyer for her parents company and had a cushy life. Things were like that for a while. She had a series of flings, but never settled down into something serious.
A month ago, while sorting through old financial documents, Roxanne found the payment for the hit man her parents had ordered on Danny. After digging some more she put the pieces together and was horrified. How could they have done something so reprehensible? Without saying anything to them, Roxanne packed everything up in a uHaul, hitching her car to the back and started driving. She took large amounts of cash out of her account so that they wouldn't be able to find her through credit cards and she just... drove. She didn't have a destination in mind, just away, so she headed towards the east coast.
Three weeks ago, Roxanne found herself in Huntsville. She's glad she was driving the moving truck, a small comfort now that she's trapped within the paradox. At least her parents probably won't track her down here. She's been running, and now there's nowhere to run. To be honest, she's no longer sure what to do with herself.

Sansa managing things is my personal king of aesthetics. That's why despite her parting with Aemond made me sad I still couldn't get enough of her busy self. Lady Vance is more in awe of this girl than she lets on, I suppose. So there's of course a chance she will try make Needle her daughter-in-law for real. Ned is awesome as Lady Whent, no doubt, but she's already taken! Suddenly but quite understandably everyone is pulled towards her (look, Fallen Flowers looking like Margaery and acting even worse hit me hard, but Sansa! This queen behaviour! She suffered from so many people and didn't become them!!!) yet the only one who really matters is Aemond. Loved the way he entered the frame on Vhagar, I loved just everything about the final scene! It's more precious than a thousand of pwps, I was literally breathless — just like these dorks — and on fire. Idk how you keep doing this, but don't stop. Also, Daeron. Can he be mine? This boy is everything. THE HIGHTOWER SASS™ RIGHT HERE. The Daeron & Ned duo is definitely born to support and balance Aemond lol 😆 Daeron and the Tully lads? Top tier content, need more. Tbh I need more of everything, it's too good to be not greedy 🙃
P.S. I also need more side stories by you, this first one is so heartwarming, especially when it comes to Lady Ned's quality time with Helaena, the kids and Aemond aka Mr Possessiveness 💕
Hi Anne!,
As always thank you for your review!
Ofc at one point Sansa had to become someone unbound from the Greens even in this version of time and she needed to be away from them — especially those who are most likely to cloak over her — to let her own self shine through in the eyes of others and gather a personal footing in the world she finds herself in.
I find Fallen Flowers to be extremely tragic, and I wanted to add such a subplot because I feel like it's a matter not often discussed and I wanted to bring it to light. Fallen is a young, intelligent, beautiful woman who has been abused by those who made her feel like loving them was the only option she had to survive (read narcissist, and the choice to make the narcissist of the equation actually a woman in a position of power over her was a calculated choice meant to reflect and shadow the countless other cases that happened in the show and possibly will happen in the book, that were overlooked because it was a woman doing it to a man so it passed off as not abusive to a big slice of the fandom. Instead putting the same dynamic between woman and woman I hope actually gives an interesting, if tragic dynamic which is totally plausible and should be addressed).
I am happy you loved the final scene so much!, I was very distressed in writing, doubting it was the right timing or not, but it felt right and I am happy to see so many people enjoyed it so much!
Also...
... everything going as planned for my EVERYONE MUST LOVE DAERON AGENDA.
Glad you enjoyed the side story as well, more to come soon! As always thank you for dropping by and sending all my love ~G.

Hii! Congrats for your 600 followers! You deserve each one of them! 🫶🏻
I already took part in your two previous celebration events, last time I requested a matchup for House of the dragon, so this time - if I can participate again - I’d like to request a matchup with a character from Game of thrones!! If that’s alright, I’ll use the same description I used last time.
my pronouns are she/her and I’m asexual biromantic so any gender is fine. I’m an ESFJ and a Gemini. I have green eyes and short black hair with blue strands, my haircut is similar to a soft mullet. I dress with goth/ fairy grunge clothes. I wear lots of rings and love to exchange them with others.
I’m the mom friend of the group, always there for everyone and my friends say that I’m really good at comforting people. I’m also calm and responsible, I usually am the one that takes care of other people. I’m very optimistic, I always try to see the good in everything and I often put other’s needs before my own, I would do everything for the people I care about and sometimes I’ve been told that I’m too kind for my own good. I have a sarcastic humor and I love making others laugh to lighten the situation, people say that I should be more serious and that I shouldn’t joke around so much. I don’t like when people tell me what to do and I’m not afraid to stand up for myself or for someone else. I also dislike when someone is too serious and really can’t take a joke as I tend to use humor as my coping mechanism.
All my friends tell me I’m very smart. I’m also very ambitious, I always try to achieve my goals.
My love languages are physical touch and words of affirmation.
I absolutely love listening to music, it helps me relax and I really like reading. I also love watching horror movies even though it’s impossible to scare me. I also play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends anytime I can. also, I absolutely love musicals and I’m definitely a theatre kid.
I really love your writing and will definitely keep supporting your blog, have a great day :)
hi! thank you for participating again
i ship you with margaery tyrell!
margaery likes interesting people. i think ordinary people bore her, and she likes to see new things. i think she’d first be drawn by your appearance and aesthetic, and she’d seek you out for it. i wouldn’t consider margaery a particularly pessimistic person, more of a realist i guess. you being an optimist would make her smile, and change her views for the better on some things. she can take care of herself, but i think she’d appreciate that you are a bit of a mom friend, and would let you coddle her and make sure she was doing alright. she’d also make sure nobody walked all over you, and would be the blunt friend you needed in life when people would try and take advantage of your kindness. you also can take care of yourself, but she’d like doing it for you. and she’s so smart and witty, she’d match your level of humor and enjoy banter with you. like you, margaery is incredibly ambitious. she wants the throne, and she’ll have it. she’d make anything you wanted in life happen for you. id also consider margaery to be a fairly physical person. she’d enjoy little touches throughout the day, holding your hand or skimming your arm as she passes you in the halls. i think it would ground her. she’s good at words, and would find words of affirmation a very easy love language to fill, but i think sometimes she’d like to let touch speak for itself.
after a long day, i think she’d find you somewhere, either sitting in the courtyard or somewhere in your chambers, maybe on a balcony. she’d know that although she could talk to you, and voice any problems, you’d be just as content to comfort her without any words. i don’t think margaery likes to dwell on what bothers her, instead choosing to focus on you.
she’d sit behind you, resting her chin on your shoulder.
“what are you reading?”
you’d set your book down, reaching a hand back to hold hers. “it’s a play, actually. a bit grim, but i think you’d enjoy it. the main character reminds me of you.”
you could see it in her face that she was tired, and not in the mood to talk. she was content to let you distract her.
“oh really?” she’d say, lifting your arm so she could turn to lay her head in your lap. “tell me about it, darling.”
you’d smile, letting a hand run through her hair as she looked up at you, more relaxed already.
“okay.”

thank you again for participating, i hope you liked it!
