help me move to Canada!

hello! As of currently I have been trying to keep my family afloat with my savings and commissions. After losing my job I tried my best to preserve what was left of my last check and more to save up for something more important which is moving in together with my girlfriend who’s in canada! While this isn’t the only reason, I find I will have a better future finding work and a stable living there with my partner. This is unfortunately not my first rodeo, and I have immigrated before as a youngin, now I’m doing it again but all on my own with only the help of my partner. Thanks to all the support and all my savings, I have managed to pay a portion of my documents to be able to live there as well as documents for my pets. but I have to still pay for a few more things for my application as well as save for the big move this summer. I am taking my pets along with me and keep myself afloat so as you can see I gotta allot on my shoulders. I’m setting up a very small goal, one that is already in progress! I don’t need allot for myself. I’m a simple guy and most of my money goes to my pets and family.

the goal is to save up to 2000, this seems allot but as of right now I have 1550 saved, so I will make this realistic and try to make a goal of 500 to get there! I as an artist and worker I will work very very hard for this mission to live with my future wife. Therefore I will be creating a master post of all my commissions and sales here in this post! Not to demonize Ben's parents,

BUT, if someone like MAVERICK can admit the adults in his life failed him, I can too.

This drives me insane.

I have SO many questions.

Why did Shane want Ben to be in his group? Yes, he's tall and intimidating, but surely he's not the only one in their grade who fits that description. How long did this go on for? Aiden said It happened "every day," but how many days is that? How come Aiden literally can't remember if this happened in 6th or 7th grade? Where did the bullying take place? At school? How did he leave the building with those injuries without an adult noticing that something was wrong? How come his parents didn't say anything to the school board when their son came home, covered from head to toe in bruises? And if they did, why was nothing done?

"Clownin44, that's a little harsh. Give them the benefit of the doubt!"

He (11-13 year old boy) was sneaking out of the house, coming home late, and getting into STREET fights. The main and only reason he stopped was because he put his family in danger, and while I understand you can't help someone who won't accept help, they had EVERY opportunity to help him before it got to that point. He is a child. They are his parents. What if Ben never fought with the young boy whose older brother was in a gang? How long would this have gone on for? I don't know if you know anything about street fighting, but experience matters. This wasn't an act of rebellion. This was incredibly dangerous.

The worst part about it all is that Shane got what he wanted. Sure, Ben didn't join his group, but he did "fix" what he thought was wrong with Ben and inadvertently taught him how to fight. He wasn't expelled for putting him in the hospital. He wasn't expelled for bullying him or for getting his "group" to gang up on him, too. Shane was still in school by the time Ben recovered, and he would've continued to go to school with him if he hadn't moved in with his aunt and uncle. The entire thing was a disaster from start to finish.

Now, consider this; Ben has a younger sister he is incredibly protective of that he doesn't get to see very often. He physically can't be there for her if she ends up going through the same things he did. How can he trust that their parents won't fail her, like they failed him?

side note; the fact that we don't see Ben interacting with his parents, while Lily is basically racing into his arms, hurts me so bad. ARE THEY NOT CONCERNED? DO THEY NOT MISS HIM? DID I MISS A PANEL OF THEM OR SOMETHING? GOSH!!!

I get that it might not be that serious, and we never got to see how his parents handled the situation, so maybe they really were just doing their best, but I had to rant about this because I'm sooo sick and TIRED!!

Alex is a totally different character from the kid from 231-4, and definitely not A'zieb.

Alex is SCP-231-4, but not that child, neither is A'zieb. Let me explain

First of all, the thing was born years ago, and it was like "What if", Alex was not the kid Clef knew as a child, nor the goddess. Alex was born in the cult years before 4231, in a different place. She was not the girl with the failed abortion (682), she is a woman who escaped from the cult, and who must deal with the consequences that it left on her. A confusing identity, mixed between what could be said to be the presence of A'zieb, and herself as a person

Alex and Clef didn't know each other until the foundation when she arrived she was 27 years old and Clef was around 30 years old, they didn't know anything about each other

It took years until they finally knew what connected them in a certain way

I'm very sorry I didn't clarify it before, I didn't realize that this left the door open to bad misinterpretation

Babs - Oracle vs Batgirl

Okay so most of this blog is just fun headcanons and exciting fanfic news. But because I do write a lot of fanfics that involve Babs, I feels like it's important for me to address my writing choice with her.

I have Babs as Oracle primarily, with her suiting up as Batgirl in certain situations. I also have her walking most of the time, with her occasionally needing to use a wheelchair. This is not because I want to be able to "have her be disabled only when it's convenient for the narrative". It's because I want to bring more visibility to this very real form of disability.

In my early twenties I was in a relationship with a woman who had a very serious medical condition. Some days were good ones, where the medicine helped enough and she was able to paint for hours, go hiking, go climbing, able to be the active and daring and brilliant person that she always was. Other days she needed help even to sit up. The reaction people would have when we'd be out getting groceries and they had seen her out running the last week and now she's in one of those scooter carts half passed out... I'll never not get mad about how genuinely disgusting people were about it.

So yes, I have Barbara only having a visible disability sometimes. Because that's just how disabilities work sometimes.

this was about kākāpō originally (there are 247 kākāpō left, they have a super small gene pool and struggle to lay fertile eggs, and their offspring can't fend off introduced predators) but this is also about EVERY endangered species. this post also applies to people who think a species should go extinct because it's "useless", "ugly", "annoying" etc.

cockroaches are pollinators in the tropics and play a crucial role in recycling soil nutrients. exterminating ticks from ecosystems can cause super detrimental effects to the entire food web, affecting every trophic level. "pandas are lazy and useless" they collect seed and plant matter in their fur and disperse it throughout the forest, helping new growth. we can't just "replace" kiwi with a nocturnal mammal from somewhere else because "its bad at surviving", it's an extremely unique species and it is important to hundreds of thousands of people. the only reason it is "bad at surviving" is due to the threat of introduced mammalian predators that it has not evolved to fight. stop being an asshole about things you don't know enough about.

I have heard ALL of the above examples said with such confidence and it's just embarrassing. if you've shared these ideas in the past and are feeling upset, I used to as well!! I'm glad that you've been able to gain more knowledge about the importance of every species within its ecosystem. for those of you who STILL share these sentiments, please please PLEASE before you say "X species should just go extinct", do ONE search. "X species environmental niche". that's all you need to look up. read a bit about it. thank you

by the way if you think an endangered species deserves to go extinct because it takes effort to save them/they can’t look after themselves, you need to reevaluate the way you look at the world because that is an extremely flawed, messed up, and sad worldview.
