maybe this an unpopular opinion on here, but i really don’t like how some people write sevika like a brute. angry, short tempered, like borderline abusive and just mean, manipulative and awful.
it kind of reeks of racism because she’s a brown woman and she has muscle, she’s buff and naturally tall and big and standoffish. but that doesn’t mean she’s abusive, or she uses women just for her satisfaction.
i know she’s a character, but i read a thread of sevika’s name meaning, and i just think that having that information with knowing some people out there write her like an abusive woman just makes me sad for her. we don’t have enough information or backstory on her in the first place — why make her an abuser?
maybe this is just me, i’ve been on this site for so long and have seen so many different kind of awful takes. this kind isn’t the first, and it sort of reminds me of the way some people treat bucky barnes, like he’s abusive and mean bc of how he looks and how he was exploited (not saying the same for sevika. just similar attributes ive noticed)
anyways, let’s stop giving sevika abusive and mean head-canon — she would not ignore you for days on end if she made at you, and she wouldn’t take out her anger on your body or cross your boundary of saying the word no

I've been thinking a bit about how Galinda and Fiyero work as foils(?), and the contrast between their goals, personality, and their relationship to social influence individually change how they navigate their specific social situations.
And why it puzzles me when people judgmentally compare them and what they'd do in "What-If" scenarios as a gotcha to make one seem better/worst. Because in my mind they are similar but not comparable, because they fundamentally have very different personal stakes.
Primarily because of the difference in how they act in an Active (Galinda) vs Passive (Fiyero) approach to social engineering. And also, because one of them in writing is more developed as an individual than the other.
I'LL MOSTLY BE TALKING ABOUT: WICKED MOVIE - PART 1
Galinda is inherently Active. She has wants and desires that she's driven to achieve, and so actively plays the part of the good socialite because it will help her become more popular and to eventually become "Galinda the GoodSorceress". "It's not about aptitude, it's about the way you're viewed", and so on. It’s the one thing she knows she’s good at.
Of course, she also likes the attention and validation, but her charms doesn't come as naturally as she wants others, and probably herself, to believe. (I love that quote Ariana said somewhere about how "Galinda sees herself as a graceful swan, when she's actually a very stiff, but still beautiful swan", or something of that sort). She's insecure that she’ll lose people's favour and thus her most important asset, so she continually appeals to them. It's an act that she simultaneously enjoys doing for the most part, but also traps her from ever being truly close to anybody for fear of being known and not meeting expectations and losing that adoration. Until Elphaba that is.
Because of her drive to fulfill her dreams and to keep her best asset, and personal desperate need for validation, she has a much more obvious internal conflicts when she has to choose between Elphaba/the moral good vs keeping with the good graces of authority and/or the public. She's more prone to being influenced by others, and many of her choices become a calculated risk. She’s often times selfish and chooses her own desires, but it’s what makes her such an interesting and very human character. The struggle she balances when she’s forced to choose for better or worse.
In contrast
Fiyero is Passive. Dancing Through Life is literally him telling others that being lazy and not thinking is the best way to cope and enjoy life by ignoring problems. He is discontent with his life, but doesn't really acknowledge it until Elphaba reads him. Much like Galinda he is also playing a part, but it's not as tightly controlled as Galinda because he doesn't have an end goal for it.
Of course, while he probably doesn't want to lose his princely privileges. His passive "brainless" approach doesn't really put him in risky situations that would put him in conflict leading to losing things he cares about, because he really doesn't have a lot to lose. (Which is a byproduct of the fact he is primarily written as a love interest side character without much of an arc or motives outside his love triangle relationship to Elphaba and Galinda).
What confounds me is when people compare them and judge what their choices would be in if they were placed in pivotal moments, because we never really see them in situations with similar stakes.
For example, the Lion Cub scene. Most people interpret this scene as an act of braverism and heroics by Fiyero. And in some part it is, he's spurred on to save the cub, and he and Elphaba do. But it's telling that he only does this after everyone is asleep and there are virtually no risks. Any present social or physical conflicts that could arise? POOF! Gone. The worst that could probably be done to them is being punished, or even kicked out, if they’re discovered afterwards. Which Fiyero is not new to and doesn't really care about, and while maybe uncertain for Elphaba, is also unlikely because she's Morrible's irreplaceable pupil.
Some people use this scene as evidence that under his facade, Fiyero is secretly valiant like Elphaba thinks so. But I think in actuality tells the opposite. It reveals that Fiyero does care about the Animals, yes. But, the fact he only acts when prompted and there are no longer any present risks initially makes him seem less brave than Elphaba, and even Galinda. Because it contrasts with the Ozdust dance scene between the girls. Where Galinda had to make an active choice to do the risky and brave thing as an apology for hurting Elphaba, and offer to truly connect with her in front of everyone with the possibility of social out casting. She has an obvious internal conflict and risk assessment where she ends up picking the moral good over her personal comfort and social appeal. I'm genuinely curious on what kind of choices Elphaba, Galinda, and Fiyero might have done in that situation if they weren't given the perfect out by the magic poppies.
Would Galinda have helped in with the lion cub if she were awake? Probably, but who knows? Because in the narrative, Galinda isn't really put in a situation where she could choose good without being watched or without someone breathing down her neck. The prospect of being punished and kicked out from Shiz would also be most plausible and ruinous for Galinda. Morrible would definitely use it as an excuse to kick her out, or at the very least punish her, if she could, and it could throw away her only chance of achieving her dream of becoming a sorceress. She would have probably joined them in the end, though. If only to make sure they were safe. Compared to Fiyero, she has more conflicts of interests because she has personal aspirations and influence based on her reputation, and thus have more fears and consequences to consider in losing it.
Would Fiyero have joined Elphaba on the broom? Maybe, mostly likely. Because narratively, he’s never given a reason why he shouldn’t. He doesn’t see his worth and his skills intrinsically tied to public influence and opinion. He doesn’t have any wants or wishes he would have to abandon. He’ll have to leave his friends and family, but it’s not shown how close they really are to him outside Feldspar, his Horse friend, and he’s probably joining them anyway. He’s definitely more equipped to survive on the run compared to Glinda. Unlike Glinda, who is proven right in the end to being most useful when she can wield her powerful social influence For Good, Fiyero would probably be most useful as a sidekick to Elphaba. He was always written to be Elphaba’s follower, it’s no surprise. It’s also easier to take risks when you don’t have much to lose. But I think most people would agree that would make a less interesting story.

I find it very interesting that there is, at best, minimal textual evidence that says or suggests Dean was sexually assaulted in Hell, but Sam being sexually assaulted in Hell is so blatant and explicit they constantly have Lucifer making "jokes" about it.

this is a genuine genuine genuine question, where did the idea that mikey feels like he has to be the emotional pillar of the family come from? like are there any actual canon examples of this, or are people filling in the gaps with disconnected information because mikey's insecurities are never actually explored?

Fuck it, I'm going to go out and say it: while I often enjoy being teased on here, a fair portion of what I receive irritates me as it's misguided at best and reeks deeply of unlearned, malicious fatphobia at its worst. Yes I want to be fatter but I'm not fat. I am a 140-lbs/63.5-kg twink despite all my efforts to gain weight. I'm not stick thin, sure, but I'm sure as hell not fat either. So why are some people insistent on calling me fat/huge/big? Are actual fat people too much for you (perhaps even in spite of you being a self-professed FA)? Is your idea of fatness grounded in equating 'not even that chubby' with 'fat' while not even being attracted to people who are actually fat? Do you solely find bloated skinny guys hot while still saying you like fat people? Or are you not attracted to fat people at all and here simply to take your fatphobia out on the people closest to your image of ideal thinness, who you'd be more openly attracted to if they lost 10-20 pounds, all while still scoffing at or ignoring the fat people at the heart of these communities?
Some of y'all really need to do better. Either own up to your love of people who are actually fat (which may entail adjusting your understanding of what fatness is), clean up your nomenclature, or don't be here. Yes unlearning biases like fatphobia takes time and effort, but your choices really are more or less that simple.

Would Transitioning Save Her: A Sliding Scale of the Impact of MTF Transition on Riverdale Character
(Ranked from Best impact to Worst Impact)
1. Archie - should've been a dyke from the get go. I could write a billion essays about this
2. Reggie - being freed from toxic masculinity would fix her
3. Moose - considering how deeply repressed she is I think seeing the tv glow would save her.
4. FP - transitioning could save her marriage. this would not improve her alcoholism. BUT ! it might help her stop bottling so many of her issues up
5. Munroe - transitioning just fits into her plot of self acceptance to me. wlw prison archie + munroe would fuck crazy
6. Sweet Pea - this is solely based on vibes
7. Original/50s Dilton - big cock t girl representation for the win!
8. Hiram - this would make veronica leagues worse. could you imagine if her daddy issues became mommy issues
9. Clay - relatively unaffected by transition. I think she's already pretty open and honest about who she is, and it wouldn't take much for her to admit this about herself
10. Fangs - no impact. already a lesbian in my eyes
11. Jughead - canonically transgender but also it would absolutely make her worse and more insufferable. this could save s1 jughead (and briefly s5 jughead) but s2 jughead on is the queen of repression and it would take a lot of force to get her to come out. if she's repressing something after all
12. Chic - win for weird girls everywhere. would drastically improve her relationship with betty
13. Bret - stonewall prep plotline but it's toxic lesbians bret and jughead. she would try to fuck donna but donna would NEVER stoop so low
14. Kevin - considering how much of her sense of self is reliant on her identity, transitioning could either really help her or force her further into a world of identity politics. she'd be the world's worst kind of white feminist for sure though
15. Charles
16. Dilton - also vibes
17. Hal - sorry betty
18. Fred - not saving her marriage but would allow her to connect better with archie and I believe she'd be a better parent to her
19. Uncle Frank - could free her but would probably do irreparable damage instead
20. Sheriff Keller - this is a cisgender man
21. Jason - I don't even want to imagine what his relationship with cheryl would have looked like if he was a woman. huge win for incest freaks I guess
22. Julian - five steps back for lgbt rights

Heya, Im just confused so im gonna ask in hope u can clear this up for me, do you actually hate hate Jax or is it more of a hate-hate Jax in an affectionate way? I see you draw him being tortured a lot(which I love actually, he deserves it and its funny) but because ive seen many others artists saying they hate him and then actually loving him too(love-hate kind of situation lol) I was wondering if that would be your case or you just really hate him
Anyway, in any case, as an Jax stan, please torture him more /lh
I have mixed feelings about him tbh haha, it’s a “I love to hate him” type of deal, he isn’t a completely horrible person that I genuinely despise, but whenever he was on screen I was mostly like “WHAT AN ASSHOLE”
I appreciate his character greatly from a writing perspective cause it’s fun to have a character that is actually just that, an asshole, there’s no he’s sarcastic”, “he doesn’t mean it”, this mf literally does not have a shred of empathy it seems and imo acts like a 14 year old edge lord who just read death note for the first time (“ouuu violence 😈🤓☝️”). He gives off the vibe of being the guy who says “look at this funny video I found” and it’s a live leak video, which makes me feel absolutely no guilt at all when I draw him trip down a flight of stairs
I do think some people romanticize his actions to a delusional degree which doesn’t personally bother me, you do you, but I just hope they keep his character in Tadc the way he is now and don’t change him up to seem sympathetic for audiences sake

the reveal that Laios learned to see ghosts and why he kept quiet for so long...
Tumblr media
oh, you mean like. what you saw happening to Falin throughout her whole childhood? Even though you stuck to her side and encouraged her into not hating her own powers? Even though you accepted her relationship with ghosts as benign and trusts her to give you their message?
(and no, there's NO dunking on Laios here... he saw this happening in his village and he hated it. but still,) well well if it isn't something he sees as worthy in his sister yet in him is just another one for the list of "offputting things people see in Laios"

Future trio for character bingo (you knew this was coming lol)
hehe of course. ive marked "i have many headcanons" bc i guess by drawing them so much i am technically making headcanons, tho the word is pretty vague imo.
Tumblr media
grovyle the guy ever. deservedly popular within fandom and people who vaguely remember playing eotd when rhey were 6. probably best character in the entire franchise. what could i even say. i cant believe people dislike him just bc hes well liked and arguably popular for pmd cast standards.
Tumblr media
dusknoir, who should be tied with grovyle for my fav character, except he could be slightly more favoured bc i dont think ive ever felt so passionate about characterization until i saw certain popular headcanons for this guy. Still, i adore and have obsessed over every dialogue he has in the game, what else could i say that isnt patently clear in my fanart and ramblings. Def one of my fixations at the moment and top contender for the Best PMD character ranking. who doesn't love a well done twist villain/antagonist who will do whatever it takes to survive and perfectly contrasts our morally grey lizard hero.
Tumblr media
celebi, the most girly girl that ever girled just so the writers could add romance. I cant believe she made me have a character arc where i first couldnt stand her and then ended up loving her thanks to cool fanon content and my belief in fighting the toxic misogynistic 2010s fujoshi that lives within all of us. it took a while for her to grow on me but now shes def part of the trio of all time. its a shame shes still vastly underdeveloped compared to the other two, so its a good thing they have each other to become more interesting through their interactions!

I feel like your Bendy the only change she got it is that she if female now but still the same bendy
But talking about your Cuphead I feel like she was the one that passed from being a man to a full queen, body, makeup, poses, clothes, the heels ( personal fav ) and so on.
While bendy is just bendy with boobs and a v now
The thing about Bendy is that i initially wanted her to also go trans the traditional way(since in IM and Quest bendy seemed like a regular flesh&bone organism), but recently i remembered that og Bendy is yk...an ink creature. And i thought it would be very cool if i just made her that + add some shapeshifting abilities because that's awesome?? Technically she can be whatever she wants to be on any given day now, from a cat to a whole ass dinosaur to a man to a woman idk?? Maybe she could transform into objects too but idk about that, haven't thought it through yet. And i just like shapeshifter characters sorry not sorry🙏
Which makes me think, if you're a shapeshifter, does it really count as you being trans if you do what Bendy did?🤔 Cuz that's just part of your default skill set, yk what i mean? Though i will say that Bendy is somewhere along the genderfluid spectrum rn rather than strictly man -> woman.
Ik i haven't exactly illustrated Bendy's shapeshifting abilities but the time will come for everything
Now about Cuphead, yeah that mf does not rlly have any cheat codes like Bendy does, so she had to do it the normie way/j

im sure obviously legitimate character development happened thru this time but im curious what turned mephone from “oh the poor little murderer… betrayed by his own precious teammates!!” to “well, i refuse to reward a killer” in blue buried. is it just as simple as him getting his braincells (gemories) back. or is it more nuanced like he yknow . maybe gained a bit of empathy for these guys over the years

elden ring dlc spoilers
here's my 2 cents about the dlc and the reactions i'm seeing
i have no intention of writing a post analyzing in-depth the lore of the dlc since i've yet to go through every dialogue and item description as i did for base game – anything i were to write now would be incomplete at best – so this is not it. i just wanted to address the overall dissatisfaction i'm seeing from a lot of people. like, as someone who spent weeks after playing the base game reading every single line of text in the game, analyzing each environment, enemy placement and design, seeing the reaction people are having to the dlc lore is quite funny. i get being disappointed a character isn't what you thought they'd be but going so far as to scream "bad writing!" is a bit excessive. i even saw people claiming miyazaki changed the writing to pander to the fans and, seriously? fromsoftware never came close to doing that and there's absolutely no reason for them to start now. but anyways, as i mentioned before i'm a huge lore nerd, the kind with a huge mind map containing nearly all relevant item descriptions, there's nothing in the base game i haven't read, so i think it's safe to say i have a somewhat good understanding of what new lore piece in the dlc contradicts what lore piece in the base game. i'm in no way an authority on the matter – there isn't one – nor am i pointing fingers saying "i'm right, you're wrong" – i just don't understand. i've been through countless different theories before i settled on the ones i entered the dlc with and obviously i wasn't right about everything – especially because a lot of it is speculation not to mention there's not really a right or wrong, only different interpretations of the same materials – but nothing new i encountered contradicted the base game lore i had put together. if anything, it strengthened even more some of my theories. so many people are upset about miquella being the main antagonist or that he's evil (which i completely disagree with, especially some posts portraying miquella as some kind of cartoon villain which is more speculation than anything with actual support from in-game lore), but everything was leading up to it if not in the base game in the dlc (the moment i found miquella's discarded love i figured who the final boss might be, when i found st. trina i was sure). "but the radahn fight comes out of nowhere" maybe there's no direct mentions of it in the base game but it is hinted quite well albeit very subtlety what miquella wanted to do with him in one of the dlc quests – not to mention radahn makes the most obvious sense when you think of miquella/radahn as a parallel to marika/godfrey. and miquella using mohg is not even worth mentioning – i hope my fellow mohg enthusiasts are feeling vindicated, as am i. in short, nothing seemed out of place for me at all. so i was really taken aback when i went into the tags and saw the overall mood. everyone can have different opinions regarding their enjoyment of the dlc nor are there right and wrong theories in a fromsoftware game where the lore is so vague but it's quite upsetting seeing people talk about how "the dlc ruined miquella's character" or "the dlc lore has no connection to the base game" when that's simply not true. if anything, the dlc only added more depth to miquella and even if i was heartbroken at the death of my favorite elden ring character, it made sense thematically. if anything i'm more upset about the fight itself but that's a gameplay problem which is not the focus of the post.

Cia HyWars is pure evil?
There is so much I could say about Cia . and i will ! you’re stuck with me now idiot !!!!! (speaking into an empty room)
i was going to skip this section bc if anybody reading this somehow didn’t know who Cia is then like . google is right there . but zeldadungeon actually has fuck all to say about cia’s backstory and i would never knowingly subject someone to the fandom wikis.
Cia was originally known as the Guardian of Time, a minor deity tasked with overlooking the checks and balances of the triforce across the past and future. She did this work alone, and her psyche was left vulnerable to a fragment of ganondorf’s soul. Her admiration and jealousy of the holder’s of the triforce was manipulated until she became physically fragmented, her “light half” being cast from her as she was fully corrupted.
That half goes on to become Lana, and what remains of Cia wants two things: Collect Link like barbie doll, and help Ganondorf restore his soul and gather the triforce so she can Collect Link like barbie doll. She’s the main antagonist of the game now.
why would she do this? is she stupid?
being lonely makes you crazy and i mean this very genuinely.
Hyrule Warriors is constantly hammering in that you need to rely on other people through gameplay And story beats. i would even say that friendship and teamwork is one of the strongest and most recognizable themes. In the very first stage there is an honestly comical back and forth that goes as follows: link runs in to fight volga. impa runs in to save link. link hops up last second and saves impa instead . and then they round out the stage with impa saving link and delivering the hero’s tunic to him. this has to be a joke? but it isn’t . they LOVE TEAMWORK !! not to mention the gameplay that forces you to run around and help your allies, or the massive story beat that revolves around Link running ahead to fight on his own, which i could dissect in its own post.
unrelated but related, in the first edition of this game Cia dies. she asks lana to make her pain make sense, reveals that she knew on some level she was doomed to fail, and admits that lana really is better than her. it’s a bitter ending with very little fanfare, as ganondorf swoops in quickly to kickstart the beginning of the end.
But in later versions, there’s additional content. Cia is found to be alive, struggling against Phantom Ganon’s forces with the last of her power. She becomes an ally and she gets to live at the end, finding a happy ending in resuming her duties now as one of two Guardians of Time with Lana.
Would it be such a stretch to assume that the root of her pain was her solitude? Her admiration of Link as the revered hero, her jealousy of Zelda as the damsel who is destined to always fight by his side, and her happy ending. she easily walks away from Link, Zelda, and the allure of the triforce because now she finally has company, and knows she is leaving them all as friends. Wouldn’t it make sense thematically that in the game about friendship, the main antagonist would be driven in part by a lack of it?
this doesn’t justify starting a war
yeag . the devs for the Dynasty Warriors hack and slash series should have made it Not a war (JOKE. PARODY. but see the first sentence or the previous section)
but what about the part where she is an irredeemable creep?
look me in the eyes . i cannot describe how much this train of thought kills me. i am trying not to point at anybody specific here but it actually scares me a little bit how common and Assumed To Be True this is considering the preexisting racism and misogyny surrounding Cia’s design and role within the game
Cia is creepy towards Link. it’s not normal to disregard a person’s autonomy because you want to “make him yours”, and it’s not normal to have just So Many pictures and statues of a guy. but i have to draw the line there because Genuinely that is where it ends.
Pet names? if you play her side campaign you find that she calls Literally everyone things like “lovelies” and “darling.” Her speech mannerisms are classically cartoonish villain and i am absolutely biased because i love this
Age difference? an important thing to note is that cia’s design is one of the things the most afflicted by the aforementioned racism and misogyny. considering she has no canonical age afaik it freaks me out that people treat her like a Textual Predator with the Everything in mind.
if she’s redeemable then they did a shit job at it.
no argument there . i think everyone forever should make something new up to make up for the fact that they did a Poor Redemption . at least have her say sorry or something idunno .
in my opinion they had a lot going on when cia joined the allies, so i like to imagine she ended up getting a proper redemption arc After phantom ganon is put to bed. it lives in my head and it’s just as convoluted and weird as the rest of the game 👍
Hyrule Warriors is just an extremely elaborate excuse to play dolls
and i LOVE my tuoys. come play with meeeee come have fun with me and ciaaaaaa
