i don't know enough about the actual regency era (outside of historical romances) to really sit down and think about (or write) this but the glitchne regency au has got me thinking about how i would do a regency au for my own ocs.

kent and elle would obviously have to have some kind of fake dating, it is their trope - maybe something similar to the first bridgerton book, where they fake date so that kent seems attached (and isn't a prospect) and elle seems more desirable?

ella and ambrose would have a secret relationship where she's the daughter of a duke and he's her dance instructor or her language tutor or something similar

#hm.... thinking my thoughts 🤔#the rest are still percolating. i have ideas for ellis and sally #there might be some other stuff going on in ambrose and ella's but i've not thought that all the way through #idk what the glitch/ellery plot would be. because clearly the glitchne regency au is the superior glitch regency plotline #temporary tag

YouTube is so damn biased towards alpha male content I keep getting it recommended to me even though I click "not interested" every single time I see this shit

I was wondering what the actual fuck, why am I getting it if it's nowhere close to what I usually watch and I do an extra step of saying "not interested" when I see it

I have a theory why

I have gender set to male in my profile

YouTube might be rigged in such an absolutely fucked up way based on this profile setting alone

If anyone here use YouTube a lot from a profile with gender set to male, does it happen to you as well?

#I'm not about conspiracy theories but I swear every algorithm is now rigged in favour of this alpha male bullshit pipeline #I deleted twitter when it became too obvious but YouTube is so essential I can't get rid of it #tiktok doesn't do that but since after that temporary blockout of US there are now really loud glitches in videos that are talking about #something US government deems as unfavourable #at least they implemented it in such an obvious way #but YouTube just does this thing with pushing this really specific content shamelessly #man this shit is depressing as fuck #men are not inherently hating women but every damn algorithm on the internet is trying their hardest to radicalise them #and I don't fucking know what could be done about that if anything

Hovering my cursor over a post in any archive no longer highlights the number of notes on the post. I haven't been able to find any official updates on the removal of this key feature from @staff, @changes, or @wip. I hope this reduce of function is only temporary or a bug. Or is it permanent? Been away from Tumblr for a bit but I've used the platform since 2012 and, knowing how often counterintuitive changes have been made over the years, I guess this one shouldn't surprise me...

Removing this feature cripples a fundamental function of viewing an archive. It reduces an archive to all style and no substance. Being able to see the number of notes on your own blog or on another blog is a great way to find posts you want to check out and reblog. Tumblr heritage posts with millions of notes stand out more that way. Beautiful gifsets with only a few notes are easier to find and reblog, thus giving them a boost. These are only a couple of many ways highlighting the number of notes on posts in an archive is beneficial.

I can't think of a single functional reason to remove that feature. If it was an aesthetic-based decision, you can still view an archive without the number of notes on the posts by simply not hovering your cursor over the posts. It's only a loss; there are zero benefits. Just another reminder that this site is run by people who do not understand or do not prioritize the ins and outs of the site or their userbase.

interesting but i do agree with the other reblog, in my opinion it’s more likely hoyo would make childe fight us based on tsaritsa’s orders than us turning on him ourselves. for me, I don’t see it as romantic(?) well we’ve seen how we’re probably the only ones childe trusts outside of his family (telling us about his abyss story since it was also mentioned he would never tell this to just anyone) but we know how extremely loyal and devoted he is to the tsaritsa(with how he carried out the whole releasing a monster to liyue thing even tho he himself said he was reluctant and didn’t like involving the weak/helpless). he’d probably be like “dont take it personal comrade, think of it as a rematch.” also maybe in natlan we will find out more about the tsaritsa’s goal and maybe it’s something the traveler cant agree on. but i dont know, that’s just what I think🥲

The problem is... It's the most obvious thing to do and so far Hoyo have avoided obvious things.

Would be a nice subversion of expectations if they end up doing the obvious thing exactly once, of course.

In other words, he's a bit too pathetic to be tragic in this way.

And also there's Skirk's prophecy about overturning the world, so he can't die before that is addressed.

There have been too many big life events in the past week. I am sleeping so badly. My brain is not processing.

#life stuff #many of the events are good things #but like #what the fuck #why is everything happening at once #why is the future coming for me so fast #a year is so long and so short at once #I just settled in where I am and I'm already halfway through my time here #and I feel okay about the job itself being temporary but I feel so weird about leaving these people I'm getting to know and like so much #In a few months time I'll be starting over again in a new job in a new city #and it'll be fine for sure #but god those first six months are always so hard #and it'll be my Probezeit too #So I feel like I'll need to be extra careful about everything #at the same time if I take this particular job I can see myself being really happy there #i'll be constantly exhausted for the first six months or so #but once I settle in I think this could be so good?#anyway the amount of tags is making the post glitch

I realised I forgot to post a full version of my pfp mentioned on my last piece - so here he is!

This glitchy guy was a character I drew a lot of for my personal branding assignments at uni and kinda became a bit of a mascot for my art. Especially since I don’t really like posting my face outside of self-portrait works.
