//Saw a vampire prompt earlier and got to thinking about Darius in the vampire scene and the funniest Scenario came to mind.

//Like, picture this: Darius and his father are in the Bodugyard business. A guy wants to contract Baribus's services but since he's already contracted with Lord Heraldy, the offer goes to Darius. Darius, thinking he's scored a good contract, heads out and does his best to be the best damn bodyguard this guy has ever had.

//And he succeeds! The guy is actually impressed and says something along the lines of, "You know, you've given me such good service, I think I'd like to retain you for the next few centuries."

//Darius, who thinks this is absurdist humor, laughs. "Heh! Yeah, if you can afford my contract that long. Retention gets pretty expensive after the first half century!"

//To which the guy just grins at him. "I think I have the means to manage."

//Cue the next scene of Darius waking up in a coffin like, "Wtf???" and the guy just grinning at him like, "So, about that retention fee."

OOC || imperial AU crossover thoughts

//I am once again thinking of discord AUs, one of which is if Echo-17 was brought to the known universe before Yavin, got pulled out of Vex travel space by an interdictor ship, and the path imperial training would put her on. Like, without the full power of the Light, the Empire could absolutely press her into service and put her on a crash course to being a specialized military asset, possibly something like Mara Jade.

//But that also makes me think of “what if Echo encountered dark force users like the inquisitors or, heaven forbid, Darth Vader?” Because I think with the power Darth Vader has, he would genuinely register as a Disciple-level darkness wielder

//and that would scare the living tar out of her

//just “I don’t know who or what that guy is, but that guy is on the level of a darkness disciple. Disciples of darkness eat light bearers LIKE ME for lunch. It takes a minimum of 12 fully powered, fully armed, senior guardians to take down one of those guys. //Just wanted to share a guy who's been on my brain and I've already been threatened with losing rights to him if I let anything bad happen to this man --

//BEHOLD! Lieutenant/Lieutenant Commander Gidan Anguirus! AU!Revenant 2 and XO of Jag Dreis ( @red-flight) from a Discord Star Wars AU!

//He's an Imperial pilot assigned to an experimental pilot/commando unit, the Revenants. His job is to make sure the squad runs smoothly, that the pilots don't kill each other, and that everyone has the skills they need to get the mission done. With their squad being a pilot/commando squad, not everyone has the same level of skill in certain areas and since they're experimental, they can't just send members back to cycle through training again.

//So, he takes charge in making sure certain squad members are getting their extra training in so they can be ready for when Jag gets their orders. He's a loyalist but he may end up questioning his own allegiances when he finds out what's really going on at the facility they're training in on Imperial Center.

Crossover thoughts

//So I was talking to @red-flight about the SW x Destiny crossover we have going on discord and we got to the thing of "Okay, but if Humans are native from Earth and Earth isn't primitive/past Coruscant, how did they get into the galaxy?"

//And I thought a lot about this and gave the simplest answer: The Vex or one of the Nine.

//The Vex are inorganic, silicon based life forms that look like aggressive cyclopsian robots with liquid power cells/core brains. They are capable of terraforming worlds and traveling through time (though that takes a lot of time, power, and effort), and have their own little dimension called "Vex Space" that is outside the flow of time. They're also one of the first factions to attack humanity before (on Io, Mercury, and Europa) and after the Collapse (the major extinction even that practically sent all of Sol back to the bronze age).

//With that in mind, the first idea was that they encountered the Vex and in an attempt to escape them, used their warp drive in conjunction with one of the Vex Portal systems in order to escape the Vex and the Collapse. I'm not sure how it would have happened, knowing Humanity's track record with Vex tech, (*coughcough*clovisbray*coughcough*), but I think it would be pretty plausable.

//On the other hand, there's also the idea that one of the Nine helped them escape. The Nine are paracausal entities with unbelievable cosmic abilities, but whose existence depends on the continued existence of the 9 planets of Sol and their peoples. So it wouldn't be far fetched for Nine of Earth to look at this tiny vessel of humans and be like "Everyone is going to die from this event, but you are too precious to me to let this happen. So AWAY YOU GO!"

//This is especially plausable since it'd be in the same vein of teleportation/transportation that Star Horse (one of the Nine, presumably Earth's member of the Nine) uses bringing in old and new foes from all over time, space, and other dimensions during the Dares of Eternity. (Roman space gladiator+obstacle course for Guardians to run/fight through)

//BUT regardless of HOW they got to the Known Galaxy, we figured that they ended up on Coruscant thousands of years before the Republic, and that whether by the Nine or Vex or maybe both, that's how Humans were introduced to the galaxy.

//It's also why when Guardians or anyone else from Sol comes to the Known Galaxy (SW galaxy/universe), Basic has some of Sol's common tongue though let's be honest, there'd still need to be translations and efforts made to learn the both sides of the language. XP (I think it might be like someone speaking latin or germanic and meeting someone who speaks english. There are some similarities but eh, what are language barriers? XD
