I really, really hate the "Female V is canon" vs "Male V is canon" debate that been popping here and here in the tags those past weeks
Cyberpunk 2077 is a Role Playing Game, there is no "canon" protagonist, that's the whole point. We all have a different playstyles, different stories and headcanons, our custom V is The Canon V of Our Own playthroughs!
After Phantom Liberty dropped, I've seen a lot of players, on Tumblr or Twitter, voicing their concerne and disappointment in how much more Female V focused the official promo, videos and even in-game credits became
I was one of them too, expressing my feelings multiple times, sometimes awkwardly, frustrated that Male V players were once again brushed to the side, because that's how it feels like, right?
Well, it might feels like it, but this isn't the case AT ALL, far from it. This is only what I would call a "Fandom Phenomenon" and I want to talk more about it a bit
I had a great conversation with a friend of mine who works in the game industry and it opened my eyes on the matter, and I've since been really interested in seeing RPGs statistics!
Because it's really, really important to make the difference between the Casual Player Base (majority of players) and the Fans / Fandom Base (minority of players)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I always been lurking in fandoms here on Tumblr, since Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and now with Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur's Gate 3
First I want to drop some stats- might be completly wrong, but I'm only sharing my point of view here, in an attempt to explain why some people are frustrated with Female V being the focus (and why we shouldn't be!)
I think it's not wrong to say that fandoms are mostly occupied by women and fem-identifying individuals; fandoms are a safe place for players and fans to share their passions. Women are STILL HEAVILY harassed and hated in the gaming industry as a whole, it doesn't take a lot of digging to catch a vile comment on Twitter or on Twitch for example, you cannot go far without seeing someone either attacking or sexualizing them
This is a huge problem in the industry still, every games that release with a female protagonist get trashed- just look at the bullshit surrounding GTA 6 just because players will be able to play as a woman as an option
Fandoms are also safe for non-gender conforming people, non-binaries, trans people and queer men, but I think fem individuals and women are a clear majority, at least on Tumblr (only talking about genders identity here and not about being queer or not, not talking about sexualities or attraction) (not an official stat at all and only my point of view and experience from being on Tumblr since ~2012)
Now let's talk about Cyberpunk 2077- because this is my main fandom since 2020, and what prompted me to write this post in the first place
CDPR didn't share any stats recently, but it's REALLY SAFE to assume the MAJORITY of players are playing a straight Male V romancing Panam, followed by a lesbian Female V romancing Judy, but the player pools for both options are still majoritarly cis hetero men (and they are still the focus for AAA studios to sell their games, this is sadly just how it is)
However on the fandom side, Fem V was always the focus; virtual photography, mods, ships, OCs... She was always more popular than Male V, getting more interactions and notes and why trends like "Male V monday" were created and why there is still a lack of male V focused mods (non-binaries and trans fem folks and characters are also sadly under-represented in all type of content and art)
So, being yourself as a non-fem player, playing as a Masc V, seeing CDPR officially make the switch from Male V to Female V, when the space you've been in for the past 3 years has been overwhelmingly Female V focused on all front, was a bit of a punch in the guts; like I said earlier, I was reaaally frustrated with this too!
And I'd say it's "normal"? or at least "ok" to feel this way, it makes sense considering how little attention Male V in general get in the fans community
BUT. BUT... It's REALLY important here to realize how we sound and how we look like when we voice our frustrations on the matter; we sound and look just like all the misogynistic people over on Twitter who screams about "woke games" everytime there is a female protagonist in their "non political games". We have to remember that fandoms are suuuch a small part of the game industry
Baldur's Gate 3 recently shared their stats and this interesting tweet got into my dash
▶ tweet
Astarion is nowhere to be seen in the official most romanced companions statistic, but I'm sure a lot of people will agree that he's probably the most popular one in the fandom side!
Another stat here from Mass Effect and really interesting info coming from David Gaider about how the hardcore fanbase aka fandom's choices were WILDLY different from the casual / main player pool
▶ tweet
Getting my head out of the fandom bubbles and seeing the bigger picture, how much under-represented women still are in official medias (not talking about fan content) and how insanly misoginistic the game industry still is, both on the player and devs sides, helped me handle my own frustration on the matter, accept and even celebrate Female V being the focus for the Phantom Liberty campaign
With all that said tho, we all should be able to vent about the lack of Male, Masc and Non-Binary content in the fandom side, while still being aware of the industry state, it CAN co-exist! It doesn't make anyone a bad or misogynist person!
We are all humans and can be awkward and make mistakes, especially when voicing frustration or talking while in a negative mood. Let's educate one another in good-faithed manners when we slip instead of jumping to conclusion and throw accusations
Not gonna lie I kind of lost my train of thoughts and not sure how to finish this post, but I hope this can enlight some people on why CDPR made this choice!
Repeating this as a finale note; this doesn't mean that Female V is the "main" V or "canon" V . It's simply her time to shine, and it's well deserved! The industry needs it
#cyberpunk 2077#phantom liberty#text#long post#like- LONG LONG post hgfhgf#hope my rambling makes sense#I legit been really interested in reading these statistics#hope CDPR will drop a similar sheet since the Ultimate edition is out :O#blah blah

Hi there! I've just returned from a two-week holiday (as I'm writing this I'm actually still driving back home, but I want to get on top of it lmao), so I would like to defer to your knowledge:
could you pretty please provide me with an update on what series ended/started while I was away? I have a vague idea, but I don't want to miss out on the things that didn't get as much promo and are therefore not on my mdl.
if you can, my watchlist will be forever thankful!!
July Report: BL that Stopped & Started & Is worth Your time
Ended July 2023
Step By Step
This was Thailand’s answer to The New Employee, and everything I loved about that show I loved about this one.
This was an office romance between stern boss and sweet subordinate that felt more authentic to an office environment than previous Thai BLs of this ilk. And that authenticity added tension to the narrative and character development (how novel). Now that might be because it has western source material, or it might be because it is actually kind of old-fashioned (it’s been years since I worked as an office grunt). I also really enjoyed the brothers’ relationship, and kinda wished they hadn’t attempted (and failed) to give said brother his own side BL. That one flaw made it a 9/10 for me.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
La Pluie
This BL takes to task the fated mates trope and what it means to have love chained intimately to predestination. It’s about how faith in destiny before choice diminishes the authenticity of emotion, relationships, and connection. This is a high concept to examine through the lens of a BL.
By activating + examining the soulmates trope this show is challenging a foundation of romance: the idea that there is one person meant to be your one romantic partner all your life. This means that we, as viewers, spend much of the show worried about it having a happy ending, and that’s the source of both its brilliance and tension: would the narrative have the strength to truly challenge its own romantic core? But, ultimately, all this elevated complexity was executed in a somewhat shaky manner with the narrative derailing into some serious pacing issues and characters manipulated by miscommunication.
However, with good chemistry and decent acting all around, plus some excellent high heat and representation of consent and a few other rare tropes, this one has to (like it’s sibling show My Ride) earn a 9/10. I enjoyed it even as it made me think, so despite its flaws:
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Started July 2023 & Looking GOOD
Jun & Jun
Korea Thurs Viki 8 eps
THANK YOU BL GODS. It is so good. Like everything I want in the world. I’m incandescently happy with this show.
It’s office set,
it’s an ex idol,
everyone is pretty as peaches,
and it’s all about remembering somebody’s smell!
I could not be more delighted.
Laws of Attraction
Thai Sat iQIYI 8 eps
(Icky picked it up but they are serving it in a complicated way that may require a VPN.)
Stars the pair from To Sir With Love with the same production team. IT’S SO GOOD. A morally corrupted trickster lawyer with a tragic past, sad eyes, and a beautiful smile that he uses like a weapon. Meets paladin martial arts instructor from other side of the tracks (who is out, at least to his baby sister).
Corrupt police.
Spoiled rich kid evil.
Ambitious politician.
Tragic death.
Terrible subs.*
This show is very like Manner of Death but so far it is a much better/tighter story (there's a Devil Judge aura happening). It’s NOT BL but it is fucking phenomenal. And you should watch it. Not wait to binge it. WATCH IT.
On a global scale this might be the best thing currently airing featuring gay romantic leads. Its really fucking good. It’s Lawless Lawyer but more complex character motivation and gay af. Fuck yes please and thank you. FINALLY.
Triggers for violence, beatings, death & torture depicted on screen. Like MoD they are not holding back.
(* A lot of the familial names they are using are not gendered in Thai but translated as such, like “nephew”. This one is gonna go down a lot easier if you know some Thai.)
ALSO:
Stay By My Side - Taiwan Fri Gaga 10 eps
Hidden Agenda that isn’t hidden - Thailand Sun GMMTV YouTube 12 eps
Low Frequency - Thailand Sat iQIYI 8 eps
Started But You Can Probably Wait IMHO
Dinosaur Love (Sun iQIYI)
Be Mine Super Star (Mon Viki)
Wedding Plan (Weds YT & iQIYI) it's mame so A trash watch is happening!
Minato Shouji Coin Laundry Season 2 (Japan Thu Gaga)
Hope this is what you wanted.

❝ if you could choose to be anything after death, what would you be? ❞ star eulogy is a hyper-extended version of headspace, made real upon sunny’s death in the bad ending.
content warning: this blog contains heavy spoilers for omori, suicide, cannibalism and general dark themes.
pinned post updated as of: august 17, 2024
this blog follows a porcelain doll that holds sunny’s consciousness, as he finds any way to pass the time. cursed with immortality, he’s been alive for centuries.
sealed at the bottom of the universe, sunny’s made highly questionable decisions in his past, leading to his imprisonment, and his failure to acknowledge the truth. as he learnt that fateful day, you can’t hide from the truth, even in a different life.
sunny’s open for asks. keep him entertained?
this au has been in development for over a year. from a discord server, to multiple threads, to art between a few people. i finally decided to make a blog for the au, after months of writing.
currently available:
sunny, the porcelain doll (tag)
??? ??????? (???? ???????)
????????? ????? (???????????)
no nsfw asks, anon gifts are allowed, interactions with other blogs are highly appreciated and encouraged.
you are absolutely welcome to make fun games using anon magic, as long as you label yourself (if on anon). this is runs on an honour system, do not impersonate each other, do not cause drama via. my inbox.
reminder that the character ≠ the writer, sunny has a disorder that effects his behaviour and how he interacts with other people. sunny is not an accurate representative of the cluster-b disorder he has - it’s dramatized after centuries. of being in blackspace.
this au is closed, and is not allowing other characters to join in. (for example, you cannot make a star eulogy aubrey account and interact with people.)
feel free to ask as other characters if you don’t have a blog to do it, just add:
- (emoji) (character name)
and i’ll tag it. feel free to get crafty! i encourage alternates/variants of a character coming to ask, sunny here is aware of the different universes.
(same works for consistent anons. if you want sunny to remember you, then add an sign off in the same style.)
now, if you’re struggling with asking questions, you now have a silly little prompt list! it’s fun, speedy interactions you can get with sunny!
NOT LORE RELATED
# princess arc (ongoing?)
# royal ball event (finished)
# tea party event (finished)
LORE RELATED ARCS
... huh. i didn’t do any yet.
sometimes i might not tag things properly! please remind me to add a tag if i forget.
LORE POSTS
alternates, variants, sunny’s thoughts
sunny’s feelings on hero
would sunny date each variant? (with honest opinions and his thoughts)
jobs that sunny had in the past
sunny’s favourite universe so far
flowerwaltz in star eulogy
bounty hunting
florians (species)
blackspace
here, everything should be tagged properly.
characters have their own basic tags, i only drop ooc text into the tags, after these symbols: //
i’ll tag your blog name under each interaction.
for organization’s sake, i’ll only link the anons here.
special anons
# 🌟 anon
# 👑 anon
# 🔮 anon
# 💠 anon
# 🃏 anon
(tumblr ate the tags, sorry. those are the current roster of anons, listed from early to recent.)
honestly. i didn’t want to make a section for this. i kinda wanted to stay mysterious and cool.
hi! i’m the star eulogy mod, he/meow pronouns, i go by sunny, but you can just call me sunshine here, for the sake of differentiation between character and writer.
i mind my own business, so i don’t really see a lot of things that other blogs do. i’m very private.
if you ping the blog in your promo post, i’ll reblog it. i reblog new blogs’ pinned posts, whenever i can.
my timezone is est. but i sleep when i want to.
all of the art you see coming from me belongs to me, aside from the usage of official art, by omocat.
here’s one of my favourite art posts.
fun fact: the original universe that star eulogy originates from, was on the universally loved route. it was set up for sunflower, hence how sunny distances himself from most basil alternates.
i personally don’t ship sunny (in general) with anybody. but i’m willing to write it for the lore, if sunny (star eulogy) can keep a relationship for longer than a day.
he’s on the spectrum. (aromantic, asexual, autistic) so romance might not look the same to you, as it does to him. he’s my silly little princess.

In today’s case, not specifically bjd related, but I’m also sick of bjd accounts doing this too.
Today an artist I follow posted that they want people to unfollow them because if you’re not constantly liking or commenting, you basically don’t deserve to see their content. The account I was following was their “old” account which no longer shows any of the stuff they sell, it s just for promo, because they have a new account that is private for only the people who are willing to devote “real” time and attention to them which makes you “worthy” of having the chance to buy some of their art. They said following but not engaging basically hurts their reach because of the algorithm, so you’re not allowed to follow their new account if you follow more that a couple hundred other accounts because you won’t see them or have the time to “properly engage” therefore you’re dead weight.
Look. I’m a small business owner and a lot of my business is reliant on people being able to see and interact with my social media. I work hard on it and I’ll be honest that I don’t have a massive insta following because I don’t have free cash to pay for ads like others do. I’m sure though that I have a ton of “unworthy” followers, but why in the sweet fuck would I tell them to stop following me? Maybe it hurts my reach idk, but like I want people to enjoy my content. Maybe they cant buy something right now, but they might want to later and if I tell them to fuck off because they’re not working hard enough for MY business, then they’re sure as hell not going to buy from me or engage with me.
Needless to say I unfollowed the artist. I have a lot of anxiety which makes me an “unworthy” follower most of the time. It’s hard to interact with people when I don’t have to and most of the time I’m using social media it’s just to look at dolls and memes and shit, so I’m not consciously thinking “must like, must comment” because I shouldn’t have to earn the right to look at a public page. I wouldn’t ever follow a private account anyway - too much work, but I mean I’m definitely not following or buying now.
I’m starting to see this as a trend in a lot of account especially if they’re massive accounts and honestly I get that instagrams algorithm is a nightmare, but I’m unfollowing left and right now because of all this. I can’t enjoy someone’s content if I’ve basically been told to fuck off for not enjoying someone’s content hard enough. I’m grateful for every like or comment or whatever I get so I genuinely can’t grasp the greed of having several thousand followers and a successful business and basically just telling your followers to fuck off like this.
~Anonymous
Mod: I've noticed big accounts I follow (on my normie lurker account, I don't have a BJD one) are getting 1/3 of the likes they used to on some posts, like 700 when they used to get 2k on a selfie, or 60k instead of 150k, it's insta's algorithm which literally hides posts from users. Anyone blaming their followers is getting it wrong and driving the people who actually see their posts away, ironically.

Hey I love ur blog and especially everything about sasosaku I'm new in the fandom can u recommend me any good sasosaku ff 🌺
Thank you so much!! Welcome to the fandom 💖
Of course!! I haven't read a lot of new stuff in a while so I'm taking some of the fics that have been recced in my SasoSaku discord server as well as some personal recs. I'd drop some of my old faves but they're almost all incomplete and haven't been updated in years ahdkfjdk
Anything by Tsukiko Hoshino! I'm working my way through all of their SasoSaku fics and I especially love the start to Flesh to Bone, a super cool fic inspired by The Mummy movie with a lot of Egyptian mythology.
Simplicity is one of my favorites, started nearly a decade ago and recently updated on the first of this year! It's got a really badass Sakura and I've been with it since it was first started.
No SasoSaku rec list would be complete without @vesperlionheart 's Obelisk: Kingdom of Man. Originally a 60k oneshot, its since been divided up into a 4-chapter fic featuring another badass Sakura, magic, and a banging 1950s theme. It's MultiSaku but the primary ship is SasoSaku and is the start to Vesper's Obelisk series (which is also MultiSaku)!
Here are a few fecs from my server that I unfortunately haven't had time to get around to but look super great and I can't wait to read when I have time!:
A Second Chance, time travel and canon divergence where, a year after his death, a 15 yro Sasori shows up in Konoha. By Invisibleninja12/ @evartandadam , one of the mods on the server and has the most BEAUTIFUL SasoSaku art (and just beautiful art in general).
Sword of Damocles, medieval au, and The Evils of Drinking, a same age au oneshot, both by AngelofDeath10/ @vermaxen ! They've also got a LOT of other SasoSaku fics + some GaaSaku!
For more recs and all your SasoSaku needs, definitely look through @aprito 's fic rec tag and tumblr!
I'll also shamelessly self promo and drop my AO3, but be warned a lot of things in there only have a handful of chapters and/or haven't been updated in years ahdkfjsk. It's a LOT of MultiSaku as well but there are some SasoSaku fics in limbo like Incantations and Clairvoyance lol
Enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions
(This is the mobile app accessible version of this page. Please do not reblog this post.)
What is Finwëan Ladies Week? This is a week-long event celebrating the ladies of the line of Finwë! There have been events within the Silmarillion fandom focused on the sons of Finwë and their descendants, and to add to the fun this week was established to give his wives, daughters, and other female descendants their own time to shine.
When is Finwëan Ladies Week? Finwëan Ladies Week will run September 19-25, 2022. The first event ran September 15-21, 2019, the second event ran October 5-11, 2020, and the third event ran October 4-10, 2021.
Who counts as a “Finwëan lady”? The obvious answers are any of Finwë’s female relatives, but we welcome out-of-the-box fan theories about how a canon character could be related to Finwë as well as original characters and the incorporation of non-canonical characters. Basically, if you think your character counts as Finwëan, we’re excited to boost your content!
Okay, that answers the “Finwëan” part, but what about “lady”? Good question! As long as the character (or your interpretation of the character) has a connection to womanhood, however you want to interpret that, they’re eligible for inclusion. The creator of this event is trans/nonbinary, and encourages you explore trans headcanons, genderbending, and other ways of exploring gender within fanworks, if that’s something you want to do!
How do I participate? In any way you want! We accept art, fic, meta, graphics, gifs, headcanons—pretty much any fan creation you can think of! There are optional prompts for each day, but feel free to let your imagination run wild. You can submit your work directly to this blog or make an original post on your own blog with #finweanladiesweek in the first 20 tags (minus the hashtag) AND @mentioning this blog. You can also send DM a mod with a link to your submission.
Do I have to participate every day? Nope! You can participate as many times as you want to, whether that means submitting one creation or 20 or just consuming other people’s content. We are happy to have you here no matter how involved you want to be!
What if I don’t like the prompts? Then don’t use them! The prompts are there to inspire you, not to restrict your creativity. We accept all kinds of content, related to the prompts or not.
Can I contribute an in-progress work? Yes! You can contribute whatever kind of fanwork you want, even if it’s not finished. We want to inspire you to create content about the Finwëan ladies, and if that means you continue on with it after the event is over, that’s great! Additionally, if your work is already in-progress and you want to update it or promo it during the week, that is also encouraged, so other people can find and consume your content!
What if I don’t finish my fanwork in time for the event? Feel free to post what you have and tag us anyway—we accept in-progress works! Alternatively, tag the blog whenever you are finished and ready to post it—we will be happy to promote it even outside the event.
Can I focus my fanwork on OCs? Absolutely! We are OC-friendly—especially since we don’t have names for a lot of these ladies! We even have a day dedicated to your original characters, whether they have basis in canon or not.
Why haven’t you reblogged my post? Posts are queued as the mods encounter them! Your post should be reblogged within 24 hours or so. If you see a like on your post from either mod @arofili or @elesianne, your post is probably in the queue! If it’s been 24 hours and you don’t see a like and your post hasn’t been reblogged, we may have missed it—feel free to send it to us or ask us if we’ve seen it! We want to boost your content, but tumblr’s tagging and @ing mechanisms can be faulty.
Is there an AO3 collection for the event? Yes! You can find it here. [Note: this is for last year’s event. For the upcoming 2022 event, we do not yet have an AO3 collection set up.]
Are there any other rules? Only a few!
Do not repost content by other creators without their explicit permission.
Respect other people’s headcanons and interpretations, even if you don’t share them.
Content and creators espousing radical feminism in any form are not allowed to participate.
Other forms of bigotry are also not allowed. Please check our sister event Tolkien Gen Week’s Code of Conduct page for a more expansive list on this topic.
Violation of these rules will result in you being blocked.
I have another question… Contact us via an ask, or reach out to the creator @arofili on their own blog :)

👍 oh god go crazy
[ ask game ]
okay so I AM going to start off with the Zine story because i think that's just a fairly decent starting place here.
TLDR: I was a guest writer featured on a Danganronpa Zine and it culminated to be kind of an absolute fucking disaster (no shade to any of the people part of it if they see this but I know damn well that i'm probably on their DNI lists at this point). Also I typed this out in Google Docs so it took me all these words to realize this story is literally not funny at all but if anyone is curious as to this experience there you go.
also ignore my capitalization inconsistencies + don’t RB this bc if someone in this zine sees this ill cry real tears
-
So, before I wrote DSMP content but after I had been acquainted with fandom as a whole, I was in the Danganronpa fandom. Now, i don’t say this to like brag particularly, but i was semi-well known in terms of writing due to the fact that I wrote for a very popular ship in the DR fandom. I only got a Tumblr after impulse making it to be part of a secret exchange on the site I barely fucking remember but otherwise i was very much like an AO3-er. If you’ve read my works please for the love of God no you didn’t <3
Now I never wanted to opt into any zines because i had no methods of receiving payment and a lot of zines i heard of were strictly for profit, so i didn’t really have much interest. However, a friend at the time (who was the person that suggested i made a tumblr the day that i actually did it, and also involved in a story im telling later i think), was the writing mod of a zine and they needed guest writers (AKA a writer that doesn’t apply to join but is part of it and usually has some kind of featured promo beforehand). They asked if i was up for it and after reassuring me i wouldn’t really need to deal with money (it was half profit half charity but i decided to give my other half up entirely to charity bc i couldn’t get the money anyway), i joined the team. The zine was called Dangan Despair Deluxe, if anybody remembers that. The premise was to focus on a cast of characters during the time of despair
Just confirmed that this happened like october of 2020, so I was 15 if anyone cared for that info.
Now the way zines work if people haven’t been part of the backend of it is that you generally have mods for the different areas/mediums (we had a merch mod writing mod art mod gen mod etc) and you have these check ins to make sure that you get the shit done on time. Some zines are pretty particular about the check ins and will like actually leave comments on your work, but im pretty sure that this zine didn’t give too much of a shit about it because i don’t think I ever got a comment??? Or anything abt my writing (but we’ll get to why i also think that didn’t happen). I did writing and I took two different characters bc everyone generally either got like 1 character or 2, nobody had taken much more than that and this went for art and writing. Merch kind of split up differently but similar breakdown there
Now I can’t remember the chronological happenings great, but what I first remembered is that people kind of stopped turning in stuff for the checkins. That was fine, they were lenient if you needed like some more time, but then people started dropping out which became a problem. Also there was this weird issue with one person getting roped into being part of it, leaving, then rejoining, then leaving again so idk what was up with that or who tf that person was. And then shit started to hit the fan when mods started like outright ghosting, including the writing mod, which kind of meant we were free balling it
This random person who did writing and maybe art stepped up to be part of the mod team, and honestly thank fucking God for them. They started trying to handle stuff, but eventually it kind of became a mess where we shoved back the intended deadline for a while because we literally did not have any of the finished products. The merch ended up being weirdly inconsistent because like 3 different people all did different parts of merch so it was kind of cool but also instead of having, like, stickers for all the characters, you kind of just got stickers for 4 of them which like, was fine did what we had to whatever. People covered the writing that needed to get done and in terms of art i think we were fine. Random note but we also had this one person who like was very talented and generally cool to talk to but absolutely could not do something that didnt have an implied ship in it which like kind of wasn’t the goal but i think at some point we were like you know what at this fucking point we may as well
we had this period of time where this person who stepped up to be part of the mod team… did like all of the formatting. Now there WAS a formatting mod and idk what the fuck happened there but essentially by the end we had like 3 mods, this person who was doing the financial transactions, formatting, and STILL DOING THE ART/WRITING, the person who headed the whole project that was like half responsive at best, and then this one person that came into play maybe twice and never again
Set off this really long period of time in which like nobody ended up getting any of the profit stuff also we had no idea if it was formatted. If you got the zine you would know that the formatting genuinely is fucking GORGEOUS so they did a great job but it was really fucking weird because there were just times where we were like. Hey guys what the hell is going on in this project we tried to finish three months ago
This person who became a mod was literally doing like 50 million things bc this was like april may so we were all real fucking busy, but they still managed to sort things out but the thing is like. You can only really gift people so much money at a time bc otherwise it kind of just does weird shit idk so they consistently couldn’t get all the money over and then people also dropped off of the project and didn’t like actually ask for the money so they had no fucking clue what to do. Also i just looked back and the platform we used to sell the zine also only sent money payments out on fucking Fridays so i have gen no clue why that was a thing but that had also been an issue. We got like enough money to donate to charity but it was just really weird bc whenever we asked for updates it was mostly just this singular person trying to do everything
Anyway. We got the zine out and it was great and now the server is somehow still kept alive bc one of the contributors keeps promo-ing other zines in this one channel and we never fucking reply so like sometimes it lights up. Anyway that was the story of the first and last time i was ever part of a zine
Here are the zine previews BTW bc I never fucking shared them bc when the zine finished i had no idea what the protocol was for sharing writing so
📷Why is that what happens when I try to copy and paste a photo hellaur

hello everyone!! emi @piatonics here to announce an event i’ve been mulling over for some time now. as i’ve fallen deeper and deeper into rarepair hell over the past couple of years, it’s made me beyond happy to see how many other people have gotten interested in the ship too, whether through my influence or on their own. it just felt like the right time to try holding an event to hopefully bring it more attention and content.
i was lucky enough to find another mod to help out, and we’re both super excited to make the week the best it can be, december 4-10. that’s four months away, so there’s lots of time to plan your works and spread the word! more info can be found on our carrd, /faq page, or you can just check it out below the readmore!
reblogs/promos are very much appreciated! be sure to give this blog a follow to stay up to date. we’re also on twt and insta, and there will be an ao3 collection!
prompts:
day 1: past + future
day 2: healing + hurting
day 3: fashion + makeup
day 4: chapter 3 + au
day 5: date night + lazy morning
day 6: secret + pda
day 7: free day!
rules:
himikiyo must be the main focus of each piece, but side characters and background ships can be included as you wish.
be respectful of the mods and other participants. no stolen content, uncredited art in edits, or anything of that nature. don’t insult others’ work.
tag/warn for sensitive or nsfw content as needed, use read mores, etc. there are very few hard content restrictions for the event, but just use common sense.
use the tag #himikiyoweek2020 in your posts and @ this account
please handle korekiyo’s backstory respectfully if you choose to touch on it. no incest jokes/making light of his abuse. again, just use common sense.
promotion/spreading the word is very much appreciated.
have fun!!
faq:
is this only for a certain type of content? — no! fic, art, edits, meta, and whatever other forms you can think of are all welcome! likewise, there’s no length/quality requirements. from a drabble or sketch to a 20k word fic, everything is welcome and appreciated. do i have to participate every day? — it would be great if you could, but it’s not necessary. if you can only do one or two days, that’s perfectly fine. everyone’s welcome to contribute as much or as little as they want. do i have to use the prompts? — you should incorporate one of the day’s prompts somehow, but it’s not a strict rule. you won’t be judged on how closely you adhere to them or anything like that. plus, day 7 is a free space for you to do whatever you want! there’s two prompts for each day. do i need to use both? — no, there’s two so you can choose which you like better. however, if you want to do something for both, you’re welcome to. does my content have to be romantic / is platonic stuff okay? — the event is intended to celebrate the ship in a romantic sense, but platonic/friendship oriented content is okay too. just make sure the himikiyo dynamic, whatever it might be, is the focus. you just can’t have them dating other people if you go this route.
what about poly ships? — read this post
is [insert au/headcanon here] okay? — yes! be as creative as you’d like. why early december? — for himiko’s birthday! why not? what’s the policy on late entries? — they’re allowed. there’s no cutoff! even if it’s months later and the tag is no longer being checked, you can @ the account or even my main! i’m always happy to see new himikiyo content and be your personal cheerleader for it, don’t be shy :)

Selfship Con 2020: End!
Thank you all so, so much for making this thing come alive and thrive. It warmed my heart to see people come together and support one another. It reminded me of what I love so much about this community. Thank you.
I would personally like to thank @scroogesspouse @selfship-loving and @perseverancex-self-shipping for your help with this con. Without you it might not have worked out the way it did. I appreciate each and every single one of you for what you did.
And finally, lets close this year’s con with a Q&A from the wonderful @coulromantism or better known as Simon to many of you out there. Simon has been here since 2016 and that to me is really special. He’s seen this community grow and become what it is, so lets hear what he has to say as a longtime member!
Mod: So, how long have you seen selfshipping for?
Simon: well, i've been selfshipping for my whole life basically!! going as far back as i can remember, i've always had crushes on characters and imagined myself with them. i started selfshipping online when i was around 10, on deviantart, but i wasn't in the community until i found it on tumblr, in early 2017 :o)
Mod: THAT'S REALLY GREAT. I'm glad that you've felt comfortable with it and enjoy yourself.Who was your first F/O ?
Simon: tysm!! ^_^ tbh i can't really remember who my very first f/o was, since i began selfshipping so long ago.... one of the earliest that i can remember is ragetti, from pirates of the caribbean, when i was maybe 8 or so? my first public selfship (on deviantart!) was with slenderman, and then my first f/o when i joined the community on tumblr was freddy krueger!
Mod: Good choices over all!! So what was it like for you when you first started in the community? What made you wanna join and stay?
Simon: my first introduction to the community was a blog for general selfship positivity and community stuff called @selfshiplove if i remember correctly! i was so excited to find other people who selfshipped like me, and i'd send them tons of anon asks, until i eventually made my own blog and joined servers and stuff. i mean, prior to that, i was basically thinking about my f/os all the time, but i had no one to talk to about it. so of course when i found the community i had to join it haha. being able to finally share such a big part of yourself with other people, it's sort of a life-changing experience!! and i loved listening to other talk about their f/os and selfships, as well. i made friends, and of course that made me want to stay in the community even more ^^
Mod: Your experience sounds pretty positive! What do you suggest for people that are afraid to be open about self shipping or just about joining us in general??
Simon: i feel very happy and lucky to have found the community the way i did ^_^ i know thats a little cliché, but tbh, just try to enjoy yourself, and focus on nothing but that!! i see a lot of selfshippers (not just new selfshippers tbh!!) worry about so many things: that their content won't be good enough, that their f/os are weird, that their gush posts are unnecessary, that they'll be judged for their selfships or the way they selfship.... and those things hold them back. but know that none of them are worth worrying about!!! ik that ignoring such anxieties is easier said than done, but i reallly encourage you to actually put yourself out there; make those "unnecessary" gushing posts, talk about your unconventional f/os, post your content even if youre not 100% confident about it (ofc, you dont have to push urself too much!).... even if it's a slow process, little by little. you'll realise that judgement, disapproval for these things will never come to you. tldr, there are no rules to selfshipping, no "standards" you have to meet; you're always good enough, your content is always good enough; nothing about you, your faves, or your selfships is worth being ashamed about, ever. don't be scared to put urself out there: ik selfshipping is an incredibly personal experience, so you're likely to put up more barriers, bcus talking abt this stuff feeld vulnerable; but i promise that in this community, despite its faults, you will be met with overwhelming love and support. some less general advice for new selfshippers would be to find other selfshippers who have f/os from the same source as you, since it'll be easier for you to engage & interact w each other's content that way. you'll be able to find community within community, and hopefully that'll also help you feel better about selfshipping & becoming more open about it. i really hope that was helpful!!! :o)
Mod: I really like the way you put this. I think this is something a lot of people need to hear.In what ways has the community changed from back then?
Simon: well, i don't remember everything abt what the community used to be like, but i think it grew a LOT, in size, i mean. i feel like the selfship community on tumblr used to be pretty small, but now theres like, thousands of us!!! maybe thats anecdotal, but i feel like selfship content in general gets more attention/notes than it used to, and there are more "popular" blogs now. i also feel like theres more of a sense of community than there used to be; at least thats my impression. not that there wasnt one before!!! but now, we have so many more general blogs for prompts, quotes, promos, art.... we have events, takeovers (thx to people like u!!!).... we adress the issues within the community.... its really cool to see this community start thriving so much over the years!!! ^_^
Mod: How does selfshipping effect your life in general outside of Tumblr?
Simon: ofc np!!! ^_^ well, since selfshipping is smth that i think about a LOT, it has a big effect on my life, obvs!!! id say the biggest thing is trying to make my faves proud, impressed, that sort of stuff. i personally don't always have a lot of drive in life, if that makes sense? and its nice to have something that motivates me to work, improve myself, that sort of stuff, and it keeps me going during tough times as well. and in general it just makes me very happy n it completes me. so thats why selfshipping is very important to me :o)
Thank you so much to Simon for this interview about what he enjoys the most about the community and also to all of you for making it so great.
Stay tuned for the next event <3

Hey! You guys really seem like you know what you are doing! I want to start an event like this for my fandom but don't really know how to begin! Do you have any tips you can share?
Thank you so much, Nonnie! 💕 That means a lot to us. And it's amazing that you are wanting to start events in other fandoms — they really are a great way to meet new people and celebrate fandom communities! So, we definitely have to give a shoutout to Chloe, who ran this event before us. A lot of the groundwork around the event coordination and how it runs each year is because of the work she put in during past years. But here are a few general tips on running fandom events that I've learned the past year or so (putting them below the cut):
Don't do it alone. Find one or two other fandom friends you trust to help you run the event. They'll be able to provide support, help you brainstorm ideas, keep up with the day-to-day organization, and keep you sane if you get stressed. I would not survive without Ryn and our other mods.
Stay organized. I am a ho for Notion, which is a free organization platform. It's actually what I use for my personal fic planning, and it's now what we use to organize all of the fandom events I am currently involved with. I'm happy to answer any Notion question you have (just DM me @stealing-jasons-job)! But if that's not your speed, having excel docs, google docs, or whatever your preference to keep things like sign-ups, notes, log-in details, etc. organized is key.
Establish your rules before you get started. You'll want to know how large of an event you can handle, the timeline of the event, and specifics on participation guidelines before you start spreading the word. People will inevitably have questions/concerns, and presetting those boundaries will help things not spiral.
Spread the word! Especially with new events, the biggest hurdle will honestly be getting the word out that there is a new event people should join. It takes time to build up a follower base (BBB has been an event for years, so we're lucky to have inherited an event with built-in followers who participated in past years) and you'll have to dedicate time to posting about it on socials and recruiting people to join. Use tags, reach out to large names in your fandoms to ask for help retweeting/reblogging, and don't be afraid to shamelessly promo for the event!
Hope these tips help! 💕 Good luck with your event, and have a blast! Fandom events are a lot of work, but they're worth it for the people you get to meet and the fics/art that come out of them.

Persona 5 Review (Confidants)
You can increase relationships with characters, increase your knowledge, guts, charm, proficiency and kindness in your free time for various uses in the future, it’s really intricate and interesting because you’re seeing so many storylines at once and uncovering other characters’ pasts, it’s really engaging. I guess it's possible to not have maxed social stats but I didn't really have a problem with it. I know that there are some things you can only do before or after a palace but I ‘usually’ try to get it done in one run as early as I can, it’s almost like the palaces are the break from taking breaks. Though if you do leave a palace, it restores hp and sp so that’s cool. Also, finishing a palace early opens up a lot of relationship opportunities because they aren’t nagging “You wanna go to the Palace today?”
So, if you can spend time with only so many characters then which ones did I spend time with and which ones do I recommend spending the most time on? Well first off, you can dabble, like just start someone’s route and if you don’t like it then just ignore it and move on, I like how it gives you a chance to meet everyone before any major commitments. Also finishing one up sometimes gives you exclusive personas you can make.
Let me start with Chihaya, I like the Chihayafuru anime so I went along with it but I really just wanted my money back, I’m not sure if the star actually did anything but the story was just average and that money wasn’t coming back. I didn't spend a whole lot of time with her though I kind of wish I had because I saw a rumor that she helps with something significantly, as long as you have the cash for it, which is very apparent around endgame or even if you had the part time jobs.
Ryuji’s story was average but I use him a lot in combat so I wanted to increase my bond. I’ve seen headcanons that these characters do really crazy stuff and go to prison for it but it’s not true, they’re just a band of misfits, the prison that you see in promos is a metaphorical one, a dream prison held inside their own mind, it’s in the very beginning of the game, just want to clarify that because it worried me going into this game. I finished his confidant.
Queen’s is rather decent, as I mentioned, she was...She acts way too attached to not like him, I mean look at the way she’s clinging to him during that house break in scene, she’s always the one to take initiative and be second in command. What I don’t understand is that if you go somewhere with her and see someone, she’ll immediately play it off “he’s just carrying my books”. She’s also the one that went straight to Alibaba when getting hurt, I like that motherly aspect. I ship my Joker with Queen for him but Kawakami for me (it would be kinda weird for him since she's older and his teacher). It’s the amount of growth we see her character go through, she seems the most genuine even if her side story focuses on her friend.
Panther’s is alright but she wants you to help her get mentally strong, O..k..? I’m not exactly one for Panther so I didn’t choose her romantic route because I think she has more chemistry with Fox. Though she seems to be the most connected to Ryuji for some reason, despite bagging on him all the time. DNF.
Fox, I will say that spending time with him made me appreciate him more and I like the rewards and art that goes with it. He’s actually hilarious, this game has a sense of humor and when it comes to him, it’s just gold, he’s so passionate and proper which makes for the best type of lines and delivery. DNF.
Kawakami, I obviously have a soft spot for but I see that her story is a real thing that bothers her, I’m not a big fan of what she reveals half way through, that seemed kinda pointless other than keeping that a secret but if you have a decent amount of money, I would up her confidant as well, it certainly wasn’t anything I expected. I finished it relatively early but by the end she enables you to go out at night even if you’re tired from mementos or a palace. Imagine my surprise when I instantly like her and then the way they introduce her route...I’ll leave it at that other than I finished her confidant.
Speaking of, quick break in the section to mention this. You would think something as in depth as this game would include a meter or consequence of sorts if you start neglecting people or duties but it’s not as stressful as that, you don’t have a sleep meter so you can do stuff in the evening (though sometimes sleeping will enable certain things like dreams which give you points with characters you spend time with regularly)
Mishima is actually one of the more interesting ones to bond with because his story seems very casual but it’s interweaving with the main one until the end of it and I like where it heads, I usually tried staying nice to him for the most part but making sure he doesn’t go “too too far”. The big thing you get is being able to increase your “other” party members stats as if they were equipped in your main party which can be useful. He was one of the first I maxed.
Yoshizawa is the new girl in Royal, so I tried to get on her good side, I actually met her and thought she was kind of robotic because of how apologetic she was but as time went on and as I grew her her confidant, she became more appealing. She was the first I finished because she only has 5 ranks but it was alright, as I said, she’s new so her story is going to be in there anyway but ranking just gives a bit more context is all. Getting all 5 ranks doesn’t finish it. However, it never seems like it's actually "finished", of course I didn't do the romance route so it might've been longer that way but for the most part, from what I see, the romance routes are mostly copy and paste with different characters outside their confidants. Other than a few dialogue options with different context but they’re the same events. The field trip in particular is the main one that I’m talking about. (I know I just revealed I played Royal, I’ll explain why this review isn’t about Royal towards the end though)
If you want, you can help Caroline and Justine experience human stuff but it isn’t a confidant, it just gives you items.
Sojiro. I only did his about half way because he gifts kindness and sometimes enables you to get coffee which gives you hp or sp. Which is cool but I wasn't sure how the confidants worked just yet and was scared I would drag him into the story unnecessarily but that's not the case for any of them, the consequences are a lot different than you might first imagine. He takes calls from multiple people, some who we figure out, some we might not and then he dresses in that sketchy outfit and says "dress for the job you want." and the way he's dressed makes him look like a pimp so...that's concerning. DNF.
Akechi is a bit questionable but every now and then I would spend time with him. He reminds me of a lion. There isn’t much of story though other than that one thing about his parents. Most of these are just spending time with the character and they start to build more substance about half way through. DNF.
Oracle actually has a really cool personality, I think of her more like a sister type to my character though. You have to have a good level of kindness in order to do a lot (which is the hardest to obtain) Once you do though, it seems to tie into a side quest and it’s really dumb because you change a gamers heart...for cheating. And that leads to...
Shinya. Why does this character even have a confidant? It easily could have been Iwai to help with that sort of thing. I didn't even rank him up, sorry, just wasn't really enough of a reason to.
Hifumi is cool, I like how she’s in a church and plays Shogi, it reminds me of Hunter X Hunter with Gungi. Her story is kind of sad too but not too much different from the “I’m on all the magazines but don’t really want to” she just wants to promote the board game. I waited until after I maxed out Queen to get past Rank 4 for her though because I was wary of giving some of the girls the wrong idea especially since that meeting between her and Queen. But once my character and Queen were official, then I decided to come back to Hifumi. DNF.
Takemi has an interesting take, I ranked her confidant up but wasn’t psyched about it, it provided a source for the guts attribute for a little while, it’s really sketchy in hindsight but the story is a little bit similar to Kawakami, with being shunned and all but Takemi seems to embrace it a lot more. I maxed her confidant, it allowed me to get discounted prices for health items.
Noir. She’s actually what I expected Persona to be like, she’s the neutral in my eyes, kind of bubbly but cute about it instead of overly obnoxious. She takes certain events way better than I expected which is good for her but I think the story would’ve packed a punch during that arc if they went deeper with how she takes it. It’s poetic how she’s acting healthy while her father is not. Not to mention that it’s like she’s planting the seeds for her new self both metaphorically and literally. You can gain some pretty good items if you do it right, SP is always a welcome in my book. DNF.
Iwai. I’m not going to recommend which thing you should prioritize, that’s up to how you want to play the game, you should keep it balanced but this guy requires a pretty high guts level. He can mod your weapons for you which comes in handy, the story is kind of mysterious because you go undercover. You also get discounts. DNF.
I love the idea of Joker bringing around a talking cat the whole time, it’s a total aesthetic, sneaking him some of his food, keeping him in his backpack, he’s as big a part of the team as any, if not the biggest. You don’t really choose to rank him up though, he’s intertwined, you can still choose to be nice to him though. Even though he doesn’t act like him, Morgana kind of reminds me of Daxter with the dynamic, wherever Joker goes, Morgana goes. I let Morgana kind of take free rein and he ended up being the strongest on my team, you don’t know how many “1-More”s I’ve seen this cat do, he was probably the one that was most consistently in my party.
I didn’t mess with that political guy or the journalist.
Also make sure to have figured out what gifts go to which person because once you get the option, it may be hard to get it back if you refuse. Ranking up people outside of the Phantom Thieves affects who is there for the ending so maybe keep that in mind.
Now you may or may not have noticed I missed a specific character, I have been writing this review since I started the game, accumulating different opinions and such, as I mention some in the Palace section of my review. The final days of playing this have pissed me off. From here to the end, I’m going to rant so if you don’t want to hear it and just want to take what I’ve said and leave, now’s the time, I’ve written everything else without this burden on the game hampering my score. However, you need to know this if you want to buy Royal specifically.
Maruki is far and few between, not much substance but I don’t mind sitting down with him once in a while. I only got about half way through so if you want to increase his confidant, do it early because it’s not always available but he helps with SP like the temple in Kichijoji. That’s what I wrote, then I finished the game and I was like “Wait a minute...something isn’t right...” So I looked it up and apparently Maruki is a new character to Royal as well. Alright, fine, so what? Well you need to rank him to level 9, there is in fact a reason and I completely missed it because I played this game BLIND. Biggest mistake and the game doesn’t tell you otherwise. So with Persona Royal, you get an extra semester longer than the original game with new story and new content that deals with Yoshizawa and Maruki in particular. The regular additions to the vanilla game hinted at it but I never knew there was more to it. So, I could’ve played the regular version of Persona 5 and had the same experience. Oh, but to put the icing on the cake. You need to rank up Maruki by November 18th. I only ever had two save files and you know what the one I didn’t finish was at? NOVEMBER FLIPPING 19TH. But wait; How do you play the new content if you can’t go back to the save file? And to that I say “HA” You don’t. I screwed the pooch unless I want to play the entire game again on new game+, has to be the same ending I had too so no finishing early with one of the other endings. Even if I played on the easiest difficulty, have all the stuff from new game+, use all the strats that I figured out afterwards, it would still take forever. The shortest speedrun of this game is 16 hours, that’s enough for a whole other game, I beat Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood in less than that. Why isn’t there a function to skip to a certain section?! I’M PISSED so for now F- this game, if I ever manage to play through those sections at some point then I’ll update this review getting rid of this and making its own review. I’m not just going to look up the cutscenes either, I got Royal instead of vanilla for a reason.

SEIZE THE MEANS OF PRODUCTION
Oh and Minato actually using crude (like he always speaks very politely) speech for the last big shot was a good moment. i rather like minato and you can see how dear kaburagi is to him. Minato gets Kaburagi put on mod duty instead of being destroyed or sentenced to life at the waste facility. Minato then stops Kaburagi from getting destroyed a second time and even keeps his avatar which would have gotten him killed. and he does all this without Kaburagi asking him, without Kaburagi ever knowing. Minato in the finale then risks annihilation to see kaburagi in the finale and is willing to gamble his life by staying in deca-dence to execute the plan. if he hadn’t helped, kaburagi would almost certainly be destroyed by the bubble wipe. Minato just wants to be near Kaburagi and be a part of his life. me in the distance: “gaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy”
when the admins threw donatello into the poop jail, did no one think to take the arm gun?
Yuzuru Tachikawa has a lot of good stuff. death parade, mob psycho 100 II, assistant director for zankyo no terror.
once a limiter is released, can you put it back on?
http://decadence-anime.com/en/ incase the website ever goes down and i have to use the wayback machine
5.5: ok so i did forget the part where they say that Solid Quake and the other mega corps manufacture the cyborgs. ah and the cyborgs are also property of Solid Quake. real last stage capitalist dystopia. and some cyborgs’ job is to play the mmo. Like the company mandates download of the game upon cyborg activation. yeah if solid quake has the resources to manage a population of squishy monsters and have absolute control of all matter in the bubble they totally could have dealt with the air pollution on the rest of the planet. There’s also at least 4 other structures/companies on the planet. I wonder what they are up to. i was wondering about the ruins, so they were made as set pieces/background art for the post apocalyptic story.
so cyborgs did originally have their roots in biological humans. but currently and all the ones we see are assembled by Solid Quake. I wonder about the cyborg cores, they have the same green glow as oxyone. And one of the characters (minato? kaburagi?) says that cores aren’t controlled by Solid Quake, so the cyborgs have free will.
So I doubt minato ever switched departments though I guess its possible, meaning when he says he wants to fight along side kaburagi again he means this metaphorically, he wants to be able to once against work towards the same goal as kaburagi side by side. Also Minato calls Kaburagi “Kabu” no honorifics or anything and the subtitles bastardize this into just “Kaburagi”
they ended up making a game that involves throwing around a cyborg core. isn’t that a little...
Though everyone helped out a little, the finale was all about helping kaburagi where as I would have preferred something like everyone working and changing the system rather than kaburagi having a chat and the deca dence system letting him do what he wants. but I suppose that’s a hook for season 2. So seen on its own deca-dence has a good solid ending but not a spectacular one. But I am so glad it has a good ending, you don’t know how many shows have gotten my hopes up in the first couple episodes only to fizzle out and flop. I am so happy this show stuck the landing even if there was a little wobble.
I watched all of Deca-Dence in one sitting and wow do I love this show. It's just a good solid show. There's no weak point, each episode is solid, the writing is good, the animation is striking, and most importantly the show holds itself together throughout its entire run.
funny thing is. When I first saw the promo material for this anime back in spring of 2020 i went like ”ugggg not another one of these” where the remnants of humanity fight against annihilation at the hands of some monsters like shingeki no kyoujin or kabaneri of the iron fortress mostly because I’m been thinking a lot on compassion for the Other and a lack of that combined with propaganda about how the Other is a threat to the existence of the in-group forms the basis of a lot of modern facism and white supremacy groups that justify their existence against an imaginary threat use this same kind of logic framing themselves as the last bastions of humanity (whiteness) against a monstrous other (muslims, immigrants, ethnic minorities, usually people of color/not white people). Now the premises of humanity fighting against annihilation by monsters in of itself isn’t necessarily racist, but after a year where violent racism exploded against asian americans and BLM had a lot of attention, my mind can’t help but be in that space. However by the time I watched Deca-Dence on January 25, 2021 I had completely forgotten everything and anything about the show. All I remembered was some people crying about it on tumblr and twitter whose posts I skipped over once I realized they were about a show I hadn’t seen. So I went into this with a completely blank slate, I didn’t know that this was scifi, or that there was a giant fortress city, I didn’t know that Kaburagi was featured in the promos alongside Natsume, and I didn’t know we would be fighting monsters. But the first episode was just so well directed that I was excited for a second one despite the premises, and also i was still processing that last shot when i clicked the next episode button. It was the second episode that sold this show for me.
Oh I totally forgot to talk about natsume’s arm and how the show handle’s disability. Also I don’t have a prosthetic so take this with a gain of salt. Natsume occasionally feels self conscious about her prosthetic arm since people will comment on it and it adds barriers in her life, disqualifying her from joining The Power and making it more difficult to adjust the nozzle on her pack. She has added struggles in her life that others don’t, but the show never portrays her as lesser for it, its just something she has to consider and work around in her life. The line about how its not her weakness, but her power was a good line. And she literally turned it into a weapon, that’s so cool.
Corporations generate capital for the enrichment of their shareholders. But in the world of deca-dence there are no shareholders at the end of the pipeline. The machinery of the capitalist firm continues to spin, squeezing out as much cheap or free labor as possible, and acquiring assets, but for nothing and no one. Its a system made to benefit the Few, but whose beneficiaries no longer exist (or at least we never see them in the anime). The exploitation of the Tankers and cyborgs serve no purpose but to continue the existence of Solid Quake and its system.
dissonance grieving tankers at funeral to cyborgs chatting about how fun the last raid event was. bright cartoony artstyle to the dystopia of neoliberal capitalism (and the labor camp). the cheery game trailer and company intro style exposition for the apocalypse.
The reason the ending was only good instead of spectacular is because it doesn’t engage with the themes laid down in earlier episodes enough. The ending provides an emotionally fulfilling ending for its characters but only a lukewarm one for late-stage capitalism. There’s two narratives going on in Deca-Dence. The personal narrative told through Natsume and Kaburagi about learning to try again, improve yourself, make your own decisions, live on your own terms, and push your limits. Then there’s the secondary narrative about overcoming structures and systems of oppression. The anime team did a great job at the first one, but kinda meh about the second one. When we are introduced to the people of Deca-Dence we see them stratified into classes like Gear/cyborg and Tanker. However this is a false narrative perpetuated by Solid Quake to maintain its control of both groups, after all Solid Quake owns both the cyborgs and the Tankers as literal property. Ideally the Tankers and cyborgs would realize the divide between them is false and team up to tear down not only Solid Quake but the systems that allowed mega corps to exist in the first place and build more equitable and just social systems. And we do get some of this in the ending with changes in how Solid Quake is run (no more punishment of “bugs”, got rid of the gulag), but all this is shoved to the background. Essentially management and company policy changed but the fact that the corporation or its structures exists, didn’t. I can't tell if its deliberate or not though. Its common with single cour anime to leave dangling plot threads as a bid to the funding for a second season and most of them never do. So I can see it like that, but eh I still never liked this approach. Its also a limitation of the single cour instead of being produced as a 24 ep anime where they would have had lime to develop that second narrative.

Fandom Trades: Tips and Tricks
I’ve been running a secret santa for five years now, and a few people expressed interest in a sort of ‘guide’. It does take some elbow grease to get things up and running, but it’s very rewarding and gets easier as you go. Click the ‘read more’ for some stuff I’ve picked up over the years! It’s a bit general to try and cover anything, but if you have any questions, you can ask! (And if you’ve run one yourself, feel free to add on!)
FAQ: Something that’s a really good idea to have. Here’s the most important stuff on it that would probably be applicable to most trades:
-Basic summary of what the trade will be- some could be fic-only or art-only, or even specific-ship-only. Mine’s general to ‘all sonic sfw content’, but setting guidelines so people know what they’re getting into is a good idea so you won’t have to answer the same question over and over.
-Deadlines. Make them clear. Mine’s easy (Christmas Eve) but depending on what size the gift is expected to be, the time frame can be adjusted.
-Related, set up rules for if people need to drop out. It happens, so be prepared. (This is why I ask now if people are alright giving a second gift.)
-Any particular rules for your trade- is it sfw or is nsfw acceptable? (In that case, set age limits.) Are there ships that will or won’t be allowed? Is there a punishment for violating the rules or turning things in late, like not being allowed to participate in the trade again?
PROMOTION:
A promo image is a good idea! I’ve been using the same one for a few years that was put together by a friend no longer on tumblr, but images catch people’s eyes faster than a text dump. Make something that’s easy to understand but gets the point across, and the text below should have enough information without overwhelming the casual scroller.
Space paragraphs often to make it less intimidating. Include links to the FAQ, the sample entry, and the submit box right in the post, as well as a way to contact you- you want things to be as easy as possible for anyone interested. Here’s my promo post.
You also want to start promotion early- I start posting and reblogging my promo a full month before the entry deadline, to give as many people the chance to see it as possible. Any earlier, and they might not care- (who wants to see a Christmas trade post in October when you’re hyped for Halloween?) and any later and you might not get as many participants as you could have. A month-ish is a good time frame. (I also have a tag for the promo post, so people can blacklist it if they aren’t interested and don’t want to see it 15 times.)
SAMPLE ENTRIES:
Also something that’s good to have. Having a template for what you want entries to look like will make sorting easier for you. Here’s mine. It’s a good idea to scout around for other trades to find out what would work for you.
MAKING ASSIGNMENTS:
Next, setting up how to arrange who gets assigned to who. I personally use google spreadsheets. These are the categories I use, feel free to steal them: Username, medium (art, writing, amvs, ect), whether they’ll work with fan characters, what they’d like to receive, what they won’t do (one year I even added ‘if there’s anyone you won’t work with’ so if it’s a fandom with drama, that one might be good), who they’re gifting to, who they’re receiving from, if they’ve submitted their piece yet, if their piece is in the queue, and if they’re alright with doing backup.
I also had a category for if they’ve confirmed they’re still in once assignments were sent out. (Boy, was that one nerve-wracking during the whole tumblr purge debacle of last year- I didn’t know if anybody had just quit tumblr mid-month.)
You will run into people who only want two or three things nobody else wrote on their sheet. If you can’t find even one match, then just put them with someone who had a wide variety on theirs, or who doesn’t have anything on their ‘won’t do’ list. Trying to match with multiple likes is a better bet, though, so encouraging longer lists of what people want makes things easier for you in the long run!
I personally just went in a line- I picked one person, found who they would give a gift to, and then found who THAT person would give a gift to. Rinse and repeat down the list, and it’ll end with everyone paired. I ended up making a closed loop and then sorting the last 8 or so, which was fine. An easy way to check that you didn’t double-classify anyone is control-f and searching names. If their name pops up 3 times, you did it right.
SENDING OUT ASSIGNMENTS:
Just copy-pasting the part of the entry that includes the person’s name and their likes makes this way easier for you over trying to type them out individually. Ask for confirmation that people got their assignments so you don’t have to worry if they missed it.
HOW TO KEEP THINGS ORGANIZED:
My system is this: I’ve mentioned it before, but I utilize a combination of my spreadsheet and the queue function. Let’s say Sally’s making a gift for Jake, Jake’s making a gift for Taylor, and Taylor’s making a gift for Sally. Sally submits her piece of art for Jake. I mark that off on the sheet, so when Taylor submits the gift for Sally, that gift will go in the queue to be posted whenever the deadline is up because she turned hers in already.
This keeps people motivated to complete their parts of the trade, since they won’t get their gifts until they do. If someone drops out, tell the person making the gift for them- if you’re lucky, they can rework what they have for the person that the drop-out was supposed to make something for, but if not, bring in someone who didn’t mind making a second gift. Person making the gift for the dropout can choose if they want to continue making it or not- if it’s mostly done and not a fan-character, they can just post it on their own blog unrelated to the trade.
It’s also a good idea to have a ‘hub’ where things are posted. If it’s a fic trade, ao3 has a function specifically for this, but I’ve found having things submitted directly to you makes it a million times easier to keep track of who’s finished their pieces, as well as keeping things ‘secret’ until the big day. (People have gotten confused or excited and posted early before.)
If people want to post elsewhere after it’s posted on the main hub, set your own rules- I say it’s fine as long as it links back to the blog and links the giftee, particularly if it involves fancharacters. You make your own judgement.
BE PATIENT:
This is one that’s very important. Some people don’t check the FAQ, and some people are going to be new, asking questions that you swear you’ve answered before or thought would be obvious. They generally just want to know, so take a deep breath. They don’t know they’re the fifth person to ask that question. Answer politely, or steer them towards the FAQ. (Running the same event year after year, you run into this a lot- they’re just new, be nice!)
Don’t start an event that you expect to have plenty of people participating if you aren’t prepared to hear the same questions a couple of times. Things might get a little annoying- take a step back for a few minutes, cool off, but try to remain professional. You signed up for this. For me, it’s always worth it to see how happy people are about their gifts, but know yourself and your limits- running a themed week where people post art at their own pace is less hassle, so you could try that if you don’t feel up to organizing a full trade!
If you can have a friend to bounce things off of, that can help too, but don’t use them as just a dumping ground. Tumblr allows multiple ‘mods’ on a blogs, so splitting work can make things easier, particularly if it’s your first run doing something like this. I had a friend who helped me the first few years before leaving tumblr. Be sure you trust the person, though! They’ll be able to edit posts and delete submissions, so if any drama happens, beware. (This never happened to me, but it doesn’t hurt to be careful.)
TAGGING:
Add tags to the submission box. I don’t know why this took me four years to think of, but it saved me a lot of time last year. If it’s a trade that covers an entire fandom and dozens of ships, you can add the shipping tags as they come in, but adding the ten or so most popular character tags helps a lot. If it’s going to involve potentially triggering content, common trigger tags are a good idea too. (A Halloween trade might need this, for example, or one that involves nsfw content.)
PEOPLE TURNING THINGS IN LAST MINUTE:
It’s going to happen. I think one year I was panicking on the 23rd because I only had half the gifts, and all but one had been turned in by the time I went to bed on the 24th. People procrastinate- if you get in most of the gifts ahead of time, you can thank your lucky stars. Try not to stress over it, but feel free to post reminders in the week before/days leading up to the deadline. My family travels around the holidays a lot, and I managed to get everything queued up properly through airport and hotel wifi more than one year, so you’ll be just fine if you try and stay calm.
OTHER/GENERAL:
It’s absolutely worth it, in my opinion- I’ve been doing this for years for a reason. My favorite thing is knowing I’ve done something that made others happy. Going through all the excited responses Christmas morning is equal or above getting presents from my family, because I know it’s on some level because of me facilitating the trade in the first place. I hear over and over this is something people look forward to, and it genuinely warms my heart.
It might take a few years to get established, but if you find a niche (there was a blog called sonic secret santa, but it hadn’t been updated in years) you might be surprised how fast you can gather people! I like seeing people show up year after year, it’s how I know I’m doing something right.
It is definitely work, and there is stress involved, (especially if people drop out or don’t send in their gifts on time) but the benefits outweigh the negatives, I say. People are generally understanding if there’s a problem, as long as you make it known you’re working on it.
You have to commit to the responsibility if you do this- people who are making gifts are putting their trust in you that you’ll keep things organized and they’ll get something for the gift they’re giving. You can’t guarantee everything will run exactly as planned, but you can be as transparent as possible when you hit a bump- ‘I’m sorry, but your person said they’ll be late because they were having internet problems/personal life issues and is doing their best’ is going to get a lot better of a response than radio silence. Be sympathetic, but be firm on the rules if need be.
I hope this helped a bit, and thanks for reading!

(if you missed the new update with Katsuki and Yamikumo, click here to see it!)
So, I left the blog collecting dust for over a year. No way around that.
For those of you who had been following it back when it was active, you'll remember I'd have intervals of months between the last updates - a combination of being busy with IRL and struggling with art. The real catch though was planning out a LONG string of comics for the current sleepover/dares arc, which would require me to sit down and work on it for a while- and with the knowledge of how LONG this comic would be (for ask blog standarts) plus me being busy, I just didn't reserve myself time to start. And I put it off. And time passed. And the more time passed, the guiltier I felt! And it just rolled up on a snowball.
So one year passed and either I would pick this blog up again, or never would. And it's something I hold dear to my heart! I had a lot of fun running it, and didn't want the expectations and pressure I put on myself to ruin that fun. Y'know, putting all your work's worth on feedback can really ruin things for an artist. I'm still trying to balance everything, and I can't promise I won't go on more big intervals between posts again, but I'll do my best to not leave it for such a long period of time again.
So before I get any more lenghty, here's how we're kicking this blog back into action:
There'll be three and a half more posts for this event - two of them are already sketched, only need colors and text; one and a half are scripted. Each of them has multiple panels. So the asks that will go on each were already picked from the inbox; I will probably not include any new dare asks in the upcoming posts, unless they are similar to the asks already picked.
After I'm done with this long ass event, I'll be looking at doing smaller updates with much fewer panels so I don't sabotage myself again. I'll only do a long thread of posts with multiple panels again when I have free time OR by drawing them and holding them instead of immediately posting, so the gap between updates isn't too big.
You'll notice the color scheme changed - thought it was about time since my skills at picking nice colors improved a bit. You might see the style still fluctuating on the next posts since I recently acquired Clip Studio and gotta make sense of it.
I'm shooting for a minimum of one new update per month. I'll do my best to keep with it!
Since I might get new readers now that I'm active again, I'm going to clean up the ooc tag and delete old promos. I will still reblog new promos of currently active blogs though- feel free to request a promo if you're a fellow ask blog!
I'll still be logged in on my main @sonreiv more often though, so if you need to reach out to me ooc, hmu there.
I have old submissions that I remember were perfectly sfw fanart some of you sent to me (and I didn’t answer cause I had threads going on at the time, sorry!!) and that tumblr’s stupid algorithm blocked and now I can’t see or even delete them. So if you’d still like to, feel free to re-submit anything you submitted to me in the past.
Since the canon plot advanced a lot in one year, I’m looking at considering canon in this blog’s timeline only the anime events! I’ve been cooking some other details, but I’ll get to them later.
That said, I'm honestly anxious about bringing back this blog since tumblr's activity dropped A LOT the last months. What has been motivating me lately was the feedback I have been getting on instagram since I started posting protoheroes there - follow me if you have one! - and I still want to keep tumblr as the main platform for posting and receiving asks since the whole blog was shaped around it.
The feedback I got from this silly blog means a lot to me, and while I don't want it to be the sole motivation - I want to have fun with it! - I'll be so grateful if some of you guys still stick around to see where I lead this story. You know I don't answer ooc asks, but I'm super grateful for all the positive messages I got over the time behind the scenes of modding these two dumb nerds.
Thanks for joining me and hope we have a nice ride from now on!

[old] guidelines
// these are my original rules. though they are still generally relevant, my newer, shorter, more concise rules post is here
A love letter from me to you! Please take it to heart.
The Lowdown: mod is an artist & supportive af|selective|primarily plot-motivated|operates on mutual respect|your friendly rpc fairy godbitch; gimme your wishlists|zero tolerance for OC negativity & bigotry|triggers present|18+ content present|consistent but occasionally capricious activity|OOC communication appreciated|lots of love abound ♡
Mod Sal (they/them/theirs; 24; PST)
I study medicine and social justice with emphasis on emergency medicine and sex work, respectively. In addition to being a writer I’m also an activist, artist, and scholar. I’ve been writing Bel since 2015. She’s a very intricate and highly dynamic character who has gone through many changes over the years via her interactions. I look forward to developing her even more with your muse(s)!
Before I talk about the kind of conduct I’d like on my blog, this is the type of roleplayer and friend I aspire to be. I’ll strive to be as attentive and supportive as I can about your muse, ideas, as well as ooc presence. If we’re mutuals, you can expect plenty of inboxes, tag games, headcanons, relationship tags, to be tagged in & sent posts relating to our muses, general interaction, and emotional support proportional to the depth of our interactions when I’m online. I’m an unapologetic 1-person hype squad at heart and will do my best to spread the love and return the love I get.
If I’m not around here, you can find me on my snk blog and/or discord by request. I muse Eren and Levi as secondary muses, but they won’t be nearly as active as Bel and are only available to established mutuals. I also have untagged resource & nsfw musing side blogs.
Interactions
When it comes to interactions, nothing motivates me more than an eagerness to develop our muses’ relationship. Depending on what works best for you, we can work on this via inbox submissions, plotting, or simply interacting. I have a tendency to write para/novella-length replies, but will strive to match you in length and style. Please include something I can actively respond to in your reply, because neutral replies can be very difficult to build upon, and please do not godmod her based on assumptions and/or stereotypes about her character/profession.
With regards to ask responses, please feel free to turn them into threads by tagging me in a new post and cutting your replies. I’ll turn asks into threads if they inspire me, but you’re under no obligation to continue them if you’re not as motivated. When cutting, please don’t cut me out. Also, please don’t reblog asks with your reply or reblog replies with my tag if I don’t reply quickly enough. I track of all my threads to the best of my ability, so please check there first if you want to know the status of our thread. If I’ve missed a thread of ours, please help me out by sending it to me in a message so I can add it to the tracker. If you lose muse for a thread, please don’t feel pressured to continue it. We can always take a break or start something new. I don’t cap my threads and am always open to new interactions.
Selectivity
Though I run a selective blog, I am not very selective in nature. I do have a preference for original and SnK/AoT characters, especially those that inspire me and challenge me. I’ll primarily look for interactions by checking blog rules for oc-friendliness, reblogging promos, asking to be mutuals in the tags, then follow back after that initial follow is granted. If you don’t want me to follow you, please block me completely because otherwise I’ll think it’s a mistake/glitch and follow you again. On the topic of glitches, they do happen so I apologize ahead of time if that happens above or below my radar.
I don’t tolerate oc-negativity or ooc bigotry and will handle my blog accordingly. If you align yourself in any way with TERF, SWERF, homophobic, ace-exclusionary, racist, and/or xenophobic rhetoric, please do not interact. It’s important for me to surround myself with enriching content and community. I have boundaries and will be setting them for my own comfort as well as respect yours because mutual respect between muns is key to a healthy rpc.
Sourcing
Please don’t do it. This goes for starters, ask memes, wishlist posts, and wanted connections. I understand we might not be the muse/mod duo you have in mind and that we don’t fit every situation, but please don’t fill my notifications with this sentiment, especially if we don’t have any established interactions yet. If our blogs have that much in common, there’s so much we could be musing about. If this happens excessively without us having any interactions, I’ll unfollow and/or block because I am a roleplay blog, not a resource hub. If you’re interested in my musing/resource posts, please show interest in muse interactions as well. The latter is why I’m here and there’s nothing more disheartening and discouraging to my creativity than being used and/or ignored when I present things.
Original Character Disclaimer
It pains me that something like this needs to be said, but Bel wasn’t created to force ship with your muse and/or overpower our threads. I will absolutely under no circumstances tolerate any form of OC negativity. I don’t care if you think they’re “cringey”, “underdeveloped”, “overpowered”, or any other iteration of not meeting your personal criteria of a good character. Opinions are valid but unsolicited bullying is not. It is important to realize that canon characters are still original characters bar their capitalistic franchise. The mods of original characters are a goldmine of free and original content and deserve to be judged by conduct, not content.
If you’d like to support OCs, I invite you to scroll through and reblog a thing or two from my OC positivity tag, as well as follow and engage in meaningful interactions with the OCs in your orbit. Your encouragement could be what makes a content creator’s breakthrough, so please be kind and supportive. Saying you’re OC-friendly while providing an extensive grocery list of double standards OCs must abide by to be considered acceptable isn’t OC-friendliness. Likewise, musing an OC doesn’t automatically make you incapable of being exclusive (unintentional or not) so please be cognizant as well and lets support each other.
Shipping
That being said, I’m just like every other mun. I enjoy shipping and the occasional smut scene given the chemistry is right and both muns are equally invested in the relationship as well as comfortable with it. The more we develop our muses, the more complicated their relationship will be and the more likely I’ll personally gift you with fanart. Above all, your comfort is paramount to our interactions so please communicate with me. Likewise, please respect my comforts when I speak of them. I am much more likely to be enthusiastic about shipping than Bel is, however, so please be patient with us and respect her boundaries as well.
# FREE THE FPN . SFW // ONLY IT’S NOT
This is the tag I will use to mark sexually explicit content. Bel is somewhere on the ace spectrum, but is nonetheless a sensual character and has a couple verses that engage in sex work. Bel’s struggles with her identities are a very big part of her personal characterization, so please be patient with her. [Marilyn Monroe’s hinted asexuality] Likewise, if she’s not into your muse, please don’t push such interactions unless we discuss them as a plot element.
Trigger Warnings
The SnK universe is rampant with violence, gore, psychological trauma, profanity, and grey morality. Furthermore, I enjoy writing dark themes and will provide the disclaimer now that this may be a rather trigger-heavy blog. However, that doesn’t mean you have to be subject to all these themes. If you’d like me to tag things in a certain way, please don’t hesitate to let me know because your comfort is important to me. I’ll gladly create a new tag for you to blacklist/filter and add it to my tag list. Furthermore, this blog will have the occasional explicit content so please don’t interact if you’re under 21.
Activity
I’m finishing up my bachelor’s so classes and coursework will keep me from here sometimes. Furthermore, I struggle with mental illness and domestic abuse in my home environment, so bouts of these may also pull me from activity. I’ll be doing my damndest to keep my issues off the dash but if things are especially severe and I feel the need to post about it and/or reach out, I’ll use a semicolon tag (#;). Nonetheless, musing, roleplaying, and plotting helps keep my spirits up so please keep me updated with your muse and share your discord with me, if you’d like. I’d love it so much if we could continue developing our muses as I slip off of and find my way back to tumblr, and I’d appreciate you very much as a writing partner and friend. ♡
Accessibility
I’m not very savvy with code, but I do try my best to keep my blogging accessible as I tinker and learn. If you struggle with accessing any part of my blog, let it be font size, style, or anything else, please let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate because I don’t want to perpetuate elitism or ableism in the rpc. As far as reply formatting goes, I’ll usually stick to once small text (particularly in novella length replies via ctrl shift -) and spare use of italics, bolding, and strikethrough text. I may use unicode and/or zalgo for art captions, personal musing posts, crack threads, and other posts that call for it. Every once in awhile, I will blog from mobile and as a result post text in default size, but I’ll still cut my posts and at worst, separate our replies with a symbol or icon if I can’t blockquote text through html.
Permissions
One of my favorite things about roleplaying is sharing content and playing tag games. If you come across anything that reminds you of Bel and/or our interactions/plotting, please show me! Even more so, if you’re a content creator, you have complete and total freedom to use her and her inspirations in your work. I only ask to see it! Likewise, if I ever create any art for you, please acknowledge it at the very least. If you send in an art request and I deliver, please reblog it. Failure to do this kills my creativity as well as generosity so... please.
Exclusive to this blog are my own art and edits as well as those gifted by friends. Please don’t ransack our labors of love and re-purpose them as your own. Bel’s Iva & Marie icons were collected by yours truly with a beautiful frame made by Shane. Other people who have contributed their talents throughout the years include madcapraccoon, L, desertbl00m, Eris, Justice, sangre-rebelde, emptyolivejar, desimouse, and the many rp blogs that have interacted with her. I’d also like to give a special shout-out to sjokohama for the boundless enthusiasm given to her development as well as the readers who have enjoyed and left amazing comments on her original fanfiction. She wouldn’t be out here if it weren’t for Y’all ~ ♡
If you feel like something should be added to or clarified in these guidelines, please let me know. I realize I have a lot to say as a consequence of being here for so long, but I still want to keep my conduct as transparent and accessible as possible.
Thank you for reading! Please feel free to like this post and interact ~ ♡

The rules to this blog have been revamped. All followers are asked to please read :)
THE BASICS
I am selective & mutuals only.
I welcome both canon and OCs, but please have rules and a bio/about page available.
There will be no passwords or secret codes hidden in here, but please read.
FOLLOWING/UNFOLLOWING
I keep my blog to mutuals only, so please follow only if you’re genuinely interested in writing with me. All personals (except for the main blogs for side blogs) will be soft blocked.
I will not follow people who do not have a rules and about page.
Do not feel obligated to follow me back. If after a week someone hasn’t followed me back, I will unfollow them, no fuss.
I soft block. I know, it’s so anxiety-inducing to have someone poof from your followers list without any notice, but I view it like unfriending someone on Facebook. If for whatever reason I no longer feel the need or desire to follow you, I will soft block you.
If I follow you, it means I am open to writing with you. Don’t question it.
I do not mind OOC content, however, if it hogs my dash I may unfollow or mute you.
SHIPPING
I am multi-ship and multi-verse, so anyone is open to ship with Lily.
I love shipping. I am shipping trash, HOWEVER, I never go into an interaction pursuing or assuming a ship.
I ship chemistry.
Feel free to approach me if you’d like to ship— don’t be shy.
Do not force or assume a ship on me.
I do not do pre-established ships.
The ship can't be the central focus of our threads. Merely an element.
CONTENT
Mun is well over the age of 21, so nsfw friendly. It will be tagged appropriately and placed under a read-more. I will not RP nsfw content with anyone who does not mention being over 18 on their blog. I do not care if your country’s age of consent is younger than that.
No rape, suicide, detailed gore, or active drug use, please.
If you have any triggers, please let me know, I am not psychic. I myself do not have any triggers.
The closest thing to a trigger that I have is drug use and abuse, and addiction. You do not have to tag it, but just keep it away from threads with me, please.
All art featured on this blog is not mine. Banners, side images, icons, and promos are constructed by me but do not contain my own artwork.
Though rare, and only with muns whom I am comfortable with, there may be smut. It has to fit with the story. I am also cool with time skips, fading to black, and non-descript poetic summaries. Or, you know, just not writing smut in general.
KEYS TO WRITING WITH ME
I love plotting and communication. It’s my favorite part of RPing besides the writing part. I love being able to talk about our muses, threads, plotting, memeing it up, etc. I will not follow people who refuse to communicate with their mutuals.
I much prefer multi-para to novella. I am not picky and do not expect novella, I myself cannot always manage to write that much. But single liners do not motivate me. If you only write single liners or less than a paragraph, we won’t make great writing partners.
I’m a little iffy on thread hopping. If you lose your muse so fast you can’t even make it 2-3 responses into a single thread with me, I will likely lose all motivation to write with you. Nothing against you, but it can sometimes take a lot of time and energy to write, so it really bums me out when my threads with someone die immediately. I’m only comfortable with hopping around our muse’s timeline once they are familiar with each other. But constantly dropping threads kills my motivation to write and if you do this, no shaming, but we may not be the best writing partners.
I am a flexible roleplayer. If none of my muse’s verses work with yours, I am willing to create verses better suited. We just need to talk it out a bit as the verse may stay between the two of us.
Be patient with me. I have an extremely stressful and physically exhausting job. Most days I do not have the energy to write a ton. So please, do not pester me for a thread response. You may ask only once and only after a week has gone by.
I try to respond to my threads in the order in which I receive them. I try to not play favorites.
I will not inform you if and when I have dropped a thread because I don’t even know when I’ve dropped a thread.
Please do not god mod, even the slightest bit without my consent. This is the biggest mood killer for me. I won’t even say anything, I will likely just stop responding to the thread because god modding is the most common sense no-no when it comes to RPing.
My muses are dynamic characters with backgrounds and depth who will experience character growth and express different parts of their personality. Do not typecast my muse and run with it like they're a joke.
So you notice I am reblogging and responding to memes but I haven’t responded to your thread. Yes, along with 10 other threads so do not take offense if I am memeing it up while owing you a thread response. Sometimes it's easier to meme than to think up and write a thread response.
I will ignore passive aggressive nudges. I will soft block you, or block you entirely if you become hostile or aggressive.
I do not believe in reblog karma, however, I believe it’s stupid not to interact with your mutuals and memes are the best way to break the ice, so if I reblog something from you, expect something from me in return. Maybe not right away because I may be at work and sometimes it’s a pain to deal with on mobile, but I will send something in! Only exceptions being shippy memes.
Partaking in witch hunts and call out culture, even if the other party is a guilty douche nugget, will result in me unfollowing you. I have zero tolerance for people who get involved with that kind of stuff.
You get bonus points if you comment on this post letting me know you’ve read this.
