kpop fanboy!eren who makes a group chat for a meet up at a concert for his favourite group in his city. kpop fanboy!eren who adds you into the chat, unknowing of how cute you are. he doesn’t realise at first — being chat admin comes with it’s responsibilities and for awhile he’s unaware of who you are.

but one day kpop fanboy!eren checks your account out of curiosity and it’s absolutely star struck by how pretty you are. kpop fanboy!eren who dms you privately to get to know you. kpop fanboy!eren who no longer talks in the chat but never fails to text you throughout the day.

“fuck, you’re much cuter over the screen.”

kpop fanboy!eren‘s voice is deep as you cover your giggle with the back of your hand. why exactly was he facetiming you again?

kpop fanboy!eren who’s chats are suggestive despite his constant tweets about turning down advances from other fangirls. kpop fanboy!eren who asks if youd like to meet up a few hours before the kpop concert.

kpop fanboy!eren who takes you out for a meal at the kbbq place not too far from the venue.

“damn, you’re even cuter in person” he says as he hugs you hello.

kpop fanboy!eren who tells you to slip with him into his section of the concert venue so that you’re closer to the stage. kpop fanboy!eren who tells you to come with him to the toilets real quick before the concert starts — something about one of his contacts flying out.

however, once you step out of the arean seating area, kpop fanboy!eren softly leans you up against the wall of the hallway and you have to ask him what’s wrong.

“can i kiss you right now?” he asks, breath hitched and hands warm on your waist.

“what happened to your contacts? they’re okay now?” you muse although you can feel your heart picking up at his advances.

“they were always fine.” he rolls his eyes. “just wanted an excuse to get with you alone.”

and you figure that was the idea but you didn’t want to jump to conclusions. regardless, youre leaning in first so that he can get the message. kpop fanboy!eren takes the initiative and lightly kisses you as he meets you half way.

but the kiss doesn’t stay innocent for along and soon the both of you are gripping at each others faces and pressing into the other.

“okay, now i need to go to the bathroom.” he breaths and you understand what he’s getting at.

kpop fanboy!eren ends up fucking you over the sink in the communal toilets. his moans are so loud, garbling on about how he’s been waiting so long for this.

every time someone accidentally steps in, you have to abashedly cover your face because most of stan tweet were literally at this show. but kpop fanboy!eren didnt care about who saw, and that aroused you even more because he had more to lose than you did.

the both of you hear the thundering opening of the kpop act coming on stage and you want to get angry at the man but you cant! he was digging you out so good that maybe missing just the first few minutes werent so bad.

“ren…ren…t-the show.” you whine with the back of your head leaning against the mirror.

kpop fanboy!eren doesnt let up — he just continues fucking into your wet cunt.

“fuck the show. right now…im f-fucking…fucking you.”

kpop fanboy!eren pulls out at the last minute and ends up cumming onto your concert fit. you have in mind to be mad at him but the sparkling glow in his eyes and the way he still reaches in for a kiss changes your mind.

both you and kpop fanboy!eren go back to the arena area to watch the rest of the concert and you enjoy it regardless. you just both make sure to mute your usernames on the timeline once it’s finished.

So, from one Chan stan to another, stay strong.

You'd been out with your boyfriend and his friends all day so there wasn't really much of a chance for you and Chan to be “intimate”. The most physical contact the two of you had shared throughout the day was mostly side hugs, laying his head on your shoulder, brushing his hand against yours or just simple things like wiping something off of his face. It was starting to drive you absolutely insane. No Chan kisses? All day? Were you suddenly placed in jail?

Currently, you're all at lunch. Some random place that Felix had picked out that he saw while he was out alone the other day. Everyone was talking with Minho and Han bickering about something, Seungmin and I.N trying to figure out when they wanted to eat, Felix was showing Changbin the new things he'd gotten on Genshin, which just left you and Chan in what felt like your own little world.

You were looking over the menu, humming softly to yourself when you felt something brush against your leg. Looking down, you could see his leg pressed against yours and his fingers gently playing with the strings in the holes of your ripped pants. Since you didn't think much of it, you slowly shifted your attention back to the menu. Once you do though, you miss the sight of him starting to pout.

Some time has now gone by, all of the boys around you now much quieter than before as they were eating. Some still held conversations, the topic had shifted to the food, occasionally feeding your opinion in as well. Chan on the other hand, he's being extremely quiet. You try your best to include him in the conversation but he would just look at you, agree to whatever you had said before going back to his food. While doing this though, his fingers kept playing with the strings.

Once lunch was over and everyone was safely back to the dorms, everyone decided to part ways for a little while and get some work done or do whatever they wanted. This meant you were finally alone with Chan but he also wanted to get some work done so he buried himself into his laptop. You really did admire him for his dedication to his music, if there was a track that needed anything done, he was the first person to try to fix it. Constant late nights of him making an entire beat from scratch just for him to have lyrics ready the next day was amazing.

This time however, his attention wasn't fully there. The sounds of his fingers against the keys of his laptop, small sounds escaping his headphones when he would adjust them or the chair creaking as he swiveled in it were filling the room as you laid on his bed, humming softly to yourself. You looked away from your phone for a moment to check on him, shocked when your eyes were met by his, only for him to look away as soon as you'd caught him. Deciding to brush it off, you walk over and put a fresh bottle of water on his desk, kissing his cheek. 

Once you're turned to walk back over to his bed, you hear a small giggle. The way a simple sound can make a smile creep onto your face is astonishing. Crawling back into the bed, you look in his direction only to be met by those big brown eyes again just from them to rip away. “Channie? Is everything alright?” You ask him, a little concerned since he wasn’t focused like he usually would be, but a simple nod is all you get as a response.

An hour has now passed and you are currently sitting beside him at his desk as you read over the lyrics that he's written since he'd asked you to look over them and see if there is any better wording way that could flow smoother. When he needs help with this, you're usually the first person he asks so that he doesn't have to bother Minho or Han. His head was currently resting against your shoulder, taking in deep breaths as if he were trying to inhale you. “You could change this, I think it might flow smoother.” you tell him, using the pink pen he always gives you when he needs your help so that he can differentiate who wrote what better when he's letting others read over it as well.

You go through and put small hearts by certain parts that you think are good and he shouldn't change, making him giggle again when he pulls away to look at his notebook. There's that sound again, the one that makes all of the butterflies on earth suddenly race into your stomach. You look over at him, seeing a smile on his face and his fingers tracing over the little hearts you've drawn for him before suddenly kissing his cheek. There it is again, you can't help your next movements, wanting to hear more. Quickly, you turn his chair to face you, looking over his face for a moment before you start pressing your lips all over his face. Not a spot left untouched less than once, you kiss both his cheeks, the tip and bridge of his nose, his forehead, temples and chin, repeating over and over as his giggle turns into a full laugh. Now, you can't help but laugh with him, holding tightly onto his shoulders.

“You're so cute I swear I could just eat you up! Your rosy cheeks, your nose, your soft lips, your head where that big brain of yours calls home.. All of it. You're so handsome it kills me!” You say to him, hand clutching your chest while watching as his cheeks turn from a soft rose color to a shade of red. His hands quickly try to hide his face, but you're faster. Your hands land on his and bring them into yours, locking your fingers as you keep kissing his face, leaving out his lips on purpose.

This goes on for a few minutes until you're both laughing so hard your stomachs hurt. You both calm down for a moment before he's looking at you with a pout, hands holding onto yours tightly. “You um.. said my lips but you haven't kissed them once since we've been home…” His words come out as a whisper, unsure if he wanted you to hear them. This makes you lean closer to him, looking him in the eyes before glancing down at his lips.

“Oh.. you mean the soft pink ones in front of me right now?” Your question making him nervous for some reason, as if he's never kissed you before even though you have over a hundred times by now. All he can answer you with is a nod before you lean in and gently kiss him hearing him giggle, “I” another kiss and giggle, “Love” another, “you” another “SO much!” you say giving him a final kiss. He looks at you, eyes squinted from how big he's smiling before pulling you into a tight hug, feeling so lucky to have someone like you by his side. 

“You know, I never realized how much I like hearing you giggle when I kiss you until now.” You say to him, drawing small circles over his knuckles, pressing your forehead against his softly. “I didn't know I did it until now, honestly.. You just make me so.. giddy..” He responds before pulling you closer to him. This makes your heart beat faster, hands resting against his chest, moving your forehead away from his so that you can look over his face with a smile. This man will forever be your giggle box and you couldn't be happier.

enough time has passed but something about the way nonblack and even some black people would cling on to louis and be very empathetic and understanding of his struggle as a black queer man, but in the same breath would be very cruel to black women in his narratives like claudia and his sister, and the black girls he pimped out, makes me realize how louis was a character that certain people clung on to to say that they cared about queer black people and our struggles, but because of that they felt they had an excuse to be misogynistic to black women. it's that whole 'louis is my favorite character, he is a black and queer man so even if i say unfair things about the black women in the show, I'm not racist because i like louis'. Keep in mind, Louis himself has a history of repeated violence against black women.

I saw this post on twitter, mostly being consumed by nonblack people and it shocked me the way that people completely reworte grace's character and her relationship with louis to make her seem worse than lestat. nevermind the fact that grace accepted louis and his sexuality and was kind to him, and the only reason she started turning on him was because he became distant and violent after being with lestat.

The need to call an actual black woman racist, when lestat is right there-- who is canonically racist and compared to a slave master is beyond me. but it makes me realize the hostility for black women in shipping spaces, and how a lot of nonblack, and yes, some black people liking louis gives them a certain shield to release that misogynoir because they know at large they won't be held accountable. Loustat is a big ship, the most popular, louis is the most liked character, of course when black women - the most hated people in fandom spaces - go after him it's a free for all.

Keep in mind, this is their mother's service, and both Louis, Claduia and Lestat were incredibly disrespectful. Keep in mind the time, when racism was also a huge issue. So bringing a man who IS racist to a somber BLACK family function like this...yeah... Grace has every right to be mad. Especially after all the chances given.

Op also brings up this scene. Again it's crazy to me how Grace, a Black woman who has also faced this type of racism if not WORSE is suddenly painted as a racist when Lestat himself is standing right there. Yes, back then it was (and still is) racist for white people to call men boys, but assuming that Grace is doing it because of racism, and not the fact that at this point after abandoning his family, Louis lives completely off of Lestat. This again, shows a divide, because why are you as a non-black person calling a Black woman racist and comparing her to a racist lawyer and not his actual racist white bf.

I also saw this response to that very tweet, and we see a person actually happy that louis is violent toward her.

like i mentioned before, louis has a history of violence toward black women. his sister, the girls he pimped and claduia. instead of seeing that as something to be called out about his character, people are extremely happy when he enacts violence toward black women. so yeah, food for thought.

and i also show this pic below. Louis kisses/touches her without her consent. she is afraid of him, he has been violent toward her. he threatens violence against, and he touches/kisses her without her consent to show her that he has the ability to hurt and harm her and no one can stop him if he wants to.

This doesn't stop with Grace.

Like it's clockwork. Louis is violent to Cluadia, and then throughout season 2 in France he is emotionally distant and abusive toward her. her whole existence is to cater to his needs and desires because he wanted her. their relationship started off as a form of exploitation, desire and abuse to please HIM and at the end of the day she suffered for it and he still gets to live, he finds lestat at the end, etc. but black women in his life literally suffer.

Lastly, I wanna say that it's clear louis is in an abusive relationship of some sorts, and I'd be open to talking about that if OP and a lot of other loustat shippers didn't make it seem like Grace is worse to Louis than lestat ever was.

ANALYSIS: Joris Jurgen, Mage-Slayer, Bearer of Grougalorasalar's Black Fire.

For quite a while I had wanted to make this post, concentrating my personal pet theory/something I noticed, but as of recently, it has been made especially relevant with to the role Grougalorasalar, as well as the Jurgen-Crepin family, may play in the manga.

This post touches on the following topic: Joris is probably mostly/fully incapable of using magic due to Grougalorasalar's possession, and there may be other consequences too, for his psychology.

"At the time of the Dofus film, we saw [Joris] as a mage-killer. Someone who does not practice magic, nor is attuned to it."

Note: Some parts of this were already proven true (or true-in-the-past-but-now-reconned) by this tweet, but I would like to go more in depth, and talk about why Joris is not practising or attuned to magic.

Black Fire, Stasis, and Dragons:

The magic of the world is based upon the Quadramental Breeze (the elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind), Black Fire (Stasis, energy of destruction), and White Fire (Wakfu, energy of creation).

All of these forces originate from the three dragons of Osamodas: the elemental dragon Spiritia, the white fire dragon Helioboros, and the black fire dragon Ouronigride.

The descendants of Spiritia became the four elemental primordial dragons.

Dofus MMO Book "Dragon Era - Found Fragments III"

Ouronigride had three descendants, of whom only two are extremely relevant to this post: Grougalorasalar (ebony dofus), and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, who refused a physical body, and therefore, remained without one, unlike all the other dragons.

Helioboros had three descendants, two of whom are important to keep in mind: Dardondakal (ivory dofus, his guardians used to be Joris, as well as Leorictus Sheran-Sharm), and Croulakrakoss, a dragon that has a history with Grougalorasalar.

Possession & violence:

"Young Lukruh… You don't know that I'm watching over you… From the shadows!"

Joris is not the first person in the history of the World of Twelve to be possessed by a Black Fire dragon — albeit his possession was less planned, and ended far less tragically for him.

While Grougalorasalar only resorted to possessing a body and mind that would not resist him, in order to save his own life — his sibling, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, had always yearned to possess and overtake, and for that end, he chose a man named Lukruh.

"Go ahead! Set them on fire! Oh yes! Lukruh! Your hatred gave the two of us wings! Keep going, and then nothing will stand in our way!"

He spent a long time slowly weakening his defences to overtake his body and mind (the downside of possessing someone who is not a newborn, and actually has a free will and a mind to overwrite, I suppose), and fed on his anger, at some point even giving him wings.

Feeding on anger to increase control over the body, something isn't unique to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

It is unknown whether possession is something only Black Fire dragons are capable of, but we do know the dire consequences it has for the possessed — because Joris has opinions on this story, and he voices in the Dofus MMO questline for the Ivory dofus.

During the first Crimson Dawn, he took the life of Dardondakal, and some time after, died himself. What really happened is murky (perhaps in part because this is not my lore area of expertise), but we know that Hyrkul ended up as an undead lich, before being abandoned by the dragon.

Joris explains that:

1. Dragons of black fire are not evil, but merely drawn to destruction. While I personally believe him, the fact that he mentions this immediately and unprompted may point to this being an insecurity of his.

2. The He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named kept Hyrkul alive, or turned him into a lich, using black magic. Then, in response to being asked whether it is possible that Hyrkul could have recovered his free will, Joris says the following:

This implies that 1. Joris views the condition of being possessed as one you can't recover from, and 2. that he still does not entirely possess a free will of his own. His mind has forever been tainted by/muddled with Grougalorasalar's, and that is simply not something that can be changed or healed from.

...Perhaps Black Fire stirs his thoughts too. No wonder he would mention this not being an evil thing, then.

(To be honest, one of my own darker thoughts on this topic is that Joris as we know him has been possessed since infancy, so if Grougalorasalar overwrote his brain fully with his own personality without any memories, we'd just never know. Though, considering there wasn't really a personality to overwrite, it's a bit of a chicken-and-egg dilemma. Sorry for becoming a conspiracy theorist for a sec.)

Joris also elaborates further on their relationship in the Ebony dofus questline:

This reveals multiple things:

Joris may be implying that he and Grougalorasalar did not part on good terms.

The alternate explanation for his words here, is that Joris knows what Grougalorasalar feels due to his influence over his psyche — meaning that he also neither forgives nor forgets. While it is a fun possibility that fits in with the rest of the post, I am inclined to believe that the shorter and easier explanation for his words is the one meant by the developers. Occam's razor.

The conflict that led to their separation was based in their world-view and morals — but here Joris says something that is very interesting:

The thing about possession, is that it affects both parties, whether they like it or not.

(Imagine two pieces of clay. Imagine pushing them together, and then tearing them apart. There would still be a bit of colour from the other piece of clay, on both of them, you know? I suppose it works the same way with souls.)

Whatever their relationship used to be, Grougalorasalar no longer respects Joris's opinions. Joris still seems to feel protective of the Ebony Dofus — even if he couldn't fulfil his promise of keeping it safe forever.

Joris the Powerless:

The Black Fire eats away at all magic and life, like rust; and rules the thoughts and impulses of those affected by it, like hunger.

But it's not an evil energy — merely the yin to Wakfu's yang. It destroys without a malicious intent.

Even if we've seen the consequences that an abundance of it has, in season 4 of Wakfu...

It is not a secret that Joris was first conceptualized to be a character who had no innate powers of his own — instead drawing them from his magic wand/hand-held tree stump. (Well, the first idea was a warrior with a woman's voice, but Xa disregarded that brief and made up a whole new guy...)

It was the idea they had during the making of Wakfu season 1 — which is why he always held his magic wand back then — and it was the idea they had during the development of the cancelled spin-off game "Joris the Powerless".

It is also why he has seldom been shown with the tree stump afterwards — it has lost its relevance to his character outside of being his preferred weapon.

The reason I bring it up is that, while ideas change — when something is so integral to a character that you almost name a game after it, even multiple rewrites may not get rid of an idea entirely.

If black magic is a hunger that corrodes other magic, then wouldn't it make sense, if Joris could not use magic to begin with?

His situation is far different from Julith, who used black magic to try and resurrect Jahash. Black Fire is a part of Joris the same way it is a part of Black Fire Dragons, — it's not just a tool to him.

...Though, he does make use of it.

All of this together would explain why Joris was envisioned, and could still turn out to be, someone who neither practices nor is attuned to magic, and how the idea of him being a powerless individual may have evolved.

It is important to note, that while I think he is mostly incapable of magic, he can probably still preform simple spells:

Joris is shown using some type of magic in the Wakfu series, though we don't know what sort of magic it is, and what is its source.

And, this is a bit more shaky, but he may be shown using some sort of electricity magic in Dofus MMO's battles — to enhance his mobility/melee attacks. The only reason I am unsure is that it could just be game-specific animations, to make the fight more interesting.

Either way it would make sense — Black Fire Dragons are living beings attuned to Stasis, but they are not devoid of Wakfu, (if they were, they would either be dead or necromes...) and Joris is simply an individual whose body was warped — capabilities for branching out into other types of magic could be limited, instead of being gone.

From possession to possessiveness:

While the main point of this post was to analyse the fact that the possession probably affected his magical capabilities, it is also important to note, that I don't think his psychology was untouched.

We have multiple sources claiming that dragons are, in general, emotionally unstable, as well as textual evidence of said fact (via Arty's Burning of Bonta, which is mentioned by Qilby; Grougalorasalar's... Grougalorasalarness, as well as Adamai's many crises.)

As well as an interesting quote by Qilby, in regard to Grougaloragran. But it comes with a preface:

While we don't know whether the vocabulary of "white fire/black fire" applies to the Eliatropes, it is important to consider this:

It was said by Tot that six dofus are required to create a world.

The appearance of a new primordial black fire dragon (Rotalström) in the necroworld could signify that having six primordial dragons for the four elements, as well as stasis and wakfu, is a constant between various worlds.

According to Tot, Rotalström was the last dragon defeated by Toross. Could it be that Primordial black fire dragons play an important role in keeping the world safe? And is this why Grougalorasalar is very active in the new manga?

This would probably make Grougaloragran a black fire dragon. It would also explain why he is both impulsive, and very keen on self-control and trying to be a kind person. But this isn't outright canon — just my speculation.

(It would also explain why Adamai knows how to use stasis magic at such a young age, having been raised by him.)

Which brings me to this point: it is interesting to think about the way Grougaloragran craves violence and destruction as a baby (cute), and how this quote about impulsiveness and jealousy also fits Grougalorasalar:

Many people may not know it, but there is a lot of lore pertaining to Grougalorasalar in the Dofus MMO — and especially to his child, Crocoburio.

Crocoburio and Grougalorasalar tried to devastate and control the lands, slaughtering countless people, and Grougalorasalar was madly obsessed with his offspring: whispering him advice in the dark, supporting him every step of the way, giving him enchanted items.

These aren't necessarily normal behaviours for a dragon — but his son was so much like him, that it bewitched him for centuries, even after he was gone.

The quests in the MMO involve Grougalorasalar wanting to ressurect his offspring, even if it damages Crocoburio's soul irreparably — and the player trying to ressurect Crocoburio without hurting him, to use as a bargaining chip.

What I am saying is that:

Joris is a very impulsive person, a misantrope prone to poor decision making, involving himself in situations that don't concern him, and anger issues. He is also obsessed with his family — his so called "sons" (they aren't, but the three of them love playing pretend).

And maybe it's just how he was born — but maybe, just maybe, this too, is something that can be in some way traced to Grougalorasalar.

But maybe Joris also relishes in having posessive control over Kerubim and Atcham. Maybe he also hates everyone else besides them, and barely tolerates some people outside the family unit, with his brief friendships with others. Maybe its just like Grougalorasalar, and his love for Crocoburio.

as you groggily say up in your bed rubbing your eyes, you thought back to last night. and your fingers hovered over your lips at a specific moment in the night. one where you were in a dimly lit booth with one of your closest friends. kuroo tetsuro.

you’ve known him for a few years now and he’d never really tried anything with you. romantically that is. yet last night he was all over you. making flirty comments and touching you in places that gave you butterflies. even if they were just small gestures.

and last night, you fed into the flirting because why not? the next thing you knew though, your lips were interlocked with his, and his jaw was cupped gently on your jaw.

you'd admit it, kuroo was a good kisser, a great one even. especially when that was the first thing you thought about the next morning. but you’re just friends and nothing more so why did it even happen?

it was just a link to twitter followed by three question marks, so you clicked it ad your mouth fell slightly agape when the tweet loaded and you saw the photos attached.

if it weren’t for the familiar black bead of hair you wouldn’t have been able to tell that the other person in the image. barely visible but lips so obviously locked with kuroo’s was you. you didn’t even want to scroll through the replies, just the thought made your stomach churn.

without another thought, you opened up your call log and searched his name, and hit call. the line buzzed a few times before you heard his voice ring through.

“hello?” he has just woken up, and his voice was low and groggy. you could hear him shuffling to sit up.

I'm asking because I'm that anon that agreed with you about wanting scarlett to speak up about palestine, the main reason being that there have been viral tweets saying she's a zionist/supports isnotreal because of the whole sodastream situation, I saw a tweet yesterday where someone LIED and said she didn't want to work with a company because they asked her to boycott isnotreal and she refused, and multiple scarlett stans have said that it isn't true.

In spite of how simple my comment was, he still went on an unhinged rant mere minutes after I pressed reblog. It's honestly not worth reading, but for the sake of transparency I'll include screenshots.

Honestly, I was shocked to see how quickly he typed this whole thing out. Rage must increase your typing speed.

It's pretty funny to me that someone whose blog name used to be "adult human female" got so incredibly mad at me for stating that women are female. Shouldn't you agree with me, if you think trans women are female? Hm.

Following this, I wasn't planning on interacting with him again. I left a one word reply and thought that would be it. He kept replying with questions, which devolved into an extremely long exchange in the replies that had some interesting moments. Like him elaborating on why he believes trans women become female, which boils down to "amalgamation of female-approximate traits = female."

I'm confused about this graph for multiple reasons, namely, the fact that it conflates sex and gender. Mostly, I'm confused about the extremities. Are the people on the far left of the graph "ultra female", and people on the far right "ultra male"? It's complete nonsense, not to mention that he doesn't provide a link to the source this graph is from, it's a commentated screenshot of a tweet with the graph.

Looking into it, the graph comes from a blog post by a transgender real estate agent. I would not consider this a reliable or credible source whatsoever, especially when the post goes on to say this:

You heard it here first, folks, having a small penis means you're less male, and a larger clitoris means you're less female. That makes total sense. I was half expecting them to include this image:

Back to the post: I attempted to explain to him that being in the female range of a specific trait doesn't mean you're female, without much success.

Speaking with him felt like trying to capture a feral cat. It was like I kept having to appease him with treats to keep him from hissing and scampering off. I've never had this feeling when speaking to any other trans person on this webbed site, they usually either block me immediately or have a conversation and then block me when they realize I actually have valid arguments to make. It was definitely a new experience for me. I have screenshots if anyone cares enough to see the full thing.

He did end up realizing I wasn't as complacent as he thought, and blocked me after leaving another beautiful essay in my DMs. The post that pushed him over the edge? The one where I made fun of the breastfeeding fetishist nominal.naomi. Why? Because I implied that males are ugly slobs that can't take pictures. Lol.

It's funny that this interaction seemingly got him to reconsider his time on Tumblr, to the point that he did a complete 180.

You know what, I'll take it. Some of his posts unintentionally call for gender abolition and acknowledge gendered labour inequalities. Sure, he reinforces gendered stereotypes while doing so, but at least he's saying something.

If I can get a misogynistic lesbian fetishist to change his entire blog to regurgitate basic feminist talking points and think he's owning Le TERFs... That's probably the funniest thing to happen to me here.

To be clear, that doesn't make him any less violent towards women he disagrees with.

To conclude: This entire exchange has made me realize that I don't have that many serious posts on this blog compared to my previous blogs. I'll start working on some more serious posts. so in no particular order, here are the five fics i liked the best/am the most proud of!

considering that everything i’ve written on this account (240k words of it good lord) was published since february 23rd, i’ve got a lot to work with!

i was in the fandom back in 2012-2013 until 2016-2017, and when i rewatched it recently with some friends, i realized just how many words and feelings had been broiling since. i wrote a LOT for spn back in the day (not published, just for the pure joie de vivre), but everything on the ao3 is completely new since feb!

1. tell me, why are you still so afraid?

or, the "what do you want, sam?" fic. this one might be a surprise! it did moderately well, but i'm really happy with it! i love writing weechesters/pre-series, and i hope this fic did them justice! it hit a lot of points i liked, and i had so much fun writing it!! i'm proud of it! :)

2. you're pretty when you don't speak

or, sam's wife pov. i was shocked!!! aghast!!! frankly agog!!! at how much folks loved this one! i had the idea in the shower of all places, lmao, just the idea that wait, being sam's wife must be so lonely. it was not the usual fare (and written in second-person pov), so i was expecting it to gently and quietly flop. but no! i wrote this fic in two sittings at one a.m. the night before a paleopathology exam, so i'm shocked any of it was coherent in the morning. thank you, dear reader, if you interacted w it at all! :)

3. romans 3:10-11

ahh, romans. to other folks that write, this was one of those fics that scratched in my bones until i sat down and wrote it all out. does that sound pretentious? it was stifling; it was all i could think about. even now, i look back on it and feel like there are things that are missing, extended scenes and extra themes that i wished i had teased out. the response was overwhelming and positive and i'm so glad you lot liked it! if you ever want more...idk...lemme know...

4. we didn't get it right, but love we did our best

or, the Heaven fic! this one took awhile to make, and a lot out of me to do! it's the longest fic i've made this year, by a lot! the planning process was a lot of fun (even though charlotte was mostly asleep), and i even colour-coded themes and turning points i wanted to include. the sense of accomplishment when it was done was a great part of this year!

5. there's no such thing as a clean break, when your heart starts bleeding out

or, the stanford!era fic where dean bleeds out on the highway and decides to not tell sam about it. one of my favorite things to write is a character getting more and more out of it as they lose control (or blood), and this one was a fun challenge! i love stanford!era dean, because he's so mangled and angry and sad. i feel like that one tweet that william shatner posted where he said ELECTROCUTE HIM!!! this also feels the most like the things i wrote back in 2014, so it brings nostalgia :,)

this was WAY harder than i thought! i loved and was so proud of so much of my work this year! a top ten would be easier, but i'm happy with this list!

What are your thoughts on hyuna seemingly announcing a relationship with someone connected with the burning sun scandal? My understanding is that, though he wasn't convicted of the worst crimes involved in burning sun, he admitted to watching some of the videos sent to him and would comment on them, but I also heard that he still performs around Korea sometimes. This is just bizarre to see from hyuna imo. (Apparently he also used to date goo hara, who was one of hyuna's friends. This isn't as yucky to me as it seems to be to some people, because I think mutual grief can be a uniting thing, and it's not unheard of for relationships to come from it even if it seems disrespectful from an outsider's perspective.)

When I first saw her post I had no real thoughts about it - while dating someone even tangentially involved in that nonsense is distasteful, her dating life is her business and I know neither Junhyung nor Hyuna personally - but I knew this news would inevitably lead to the next juicy bit for kpop stans to sensationalize and blow up into a scandal. There’s nothing k-pop stans love more than cancelling an idol or group. It’s a like a group project where everyone can get easy bonus participation marks on.

And sure enough, the minute someone posted her Instagram update on Twitter, it led to hundreds of thousands of tweets, blog posts, discussion topics on all platforms about how Hyuna manipulated her ‘fanbase of feminists’ and lovebombed Dawn into sabotaging his career; cynical declarations about how k-pop idols are most likely bad people (all that fame and fortune corrupts their morality) and it’s only a matter of time before they show their true colours; and Junghyun, for all his faults, has gone from someone who watched a molka video sent to him, to a rape apologist, a rapist, a convicted sex offender, a predator and so on.

It’s fine if people are disappointed she’s dating a creep, the problem is k-pop stans never really leave it at that. In HyunA’s case I’d noticed many of her stans have been upset with her for the last couple of years now, wondering the direction she’s taking post-P Nation and being mostly disappointed in her artistic output recently. And you can see it in the lacklustre response her music has gotten increasingly since then. Any sympathy she had from most of her fans evaporated when she and Dawn broke up. This business with Junhyung seems to me to be the final nail in the coffin, and a pretty good reason for people who were already falling out of love with her to finally write her off.

In reality, people do grow and it’s possible Junhyung learned something from that scandal and now is a better man. It’s possible their shared grief and history with GH bonded them over the years. It’s possible HyunA’s in a terrible place mentally right now and he’s providing healthy or unhealthy support. And it’s possible HyunA is simply a bad person who isn’t a ‘girl’s girl’, and has no qualms dating someone who still has predatory views about women. The beauty of k-pop stan logic is that it’s only the last possibility that’s assumed to be true. Coincidentally that’s also the only possibility that justifies the kind of reactions k-pop stans are prone to dishing out anyway.

A thought experiment I played with a few friends, was what the fallout would be if she announced she was dating Zico instead. Zico apparently didn’t watch any molka videos because there was no evidence he was sent any, but he knew Joonyoung and admitted to knowing about the ‘golden phone’ at the heart of the Burning Sun scandal. I wonder what the takes would be then if she made a dating announcement with Zico… but a part of me kinda already knows.

Anyway, a few of HyunA’s fansites have closed and some people on the k-side are just as upset as those on the I-side. Most other people on the k-side don’t care though. In fact, the understanding is that after Dawn and now Junhyung, it’s likely she dumps him within the year and moves on to someone else before long. Because rather than HyunA’s brand being ‘feminism’ as is wrongly assumed on the I-side, all she’s ever been consistent about is doing what she wants.

And I don’t think that’s going to change. All this backlash and outrage notwithstanding.

US propaganda relies hard on keeping their public ill-informed about the atrocities they commit, historically painting the wars in middle east as necessities to fight the 'evils' of socialism or 'terrorism'. A lot of celebrities speaking up are trying to either: 1. play both sides by condemning hamas and israel 2. openly support israel because it takes one infographic that says "i stand w israel". really, the simplest thing to do if you've never read anything about it but have to say something bc.. why not i guess. or theyre zionists. with colby's past serious relationship, it's hard to tell what happened or how things played out bc he mostly keeps that info to himself; which is totally understandable. he's let slip some things, like how he was very needy and depended on her a lot and how he wanted to be with her all the time and overall - he was just too much.

the worse thing he's ever said about her is that she was a bit flaky, and in reality he only implied it. he's mostly blamed himself for things falling apart or that it was just draining to be that in love with someone.

this is all my assumption, so take what i say with a grain of salt. i'm just basing my opinion off of things he's said and also a lot of old tweets from back in the day (some of which have been outright deleted but i saved lol): i think he fell madly in love with this girl, and just depended on her too much. i think he came across as needy and clingy, and she pulled back. she didn't love him as much as he loved her, and then eventually things ended. and he spent the next year just being heartbroken and trying to move on. then by 2018, he tried dating again (and by that i mean putting himself out there, not really having any serious relationships), and it went south once again. and he became bitter to love and dating and everything else. which is why he said the infamous quote of "all the girls in la suck". and i think only recently has he "tried" to dip his toes back into actual dating, and not just hooking up. but even then, he's not really trying.

i think his past relationship really hurt him. bc, while i don't think he wanted to marry this girl, i think that's how much love he had for her. hence why he said in his deep q&a "i only want to fall in love that deeply again with someone like my wife". i don't think he wanted to marry her, but i think he saw a future with her when she didn't feel the same way. and when they broke up, her reasonings tied with his past self esteem issues, it all just became a lot for him to process. i mean, he only recently just started to like being by himself and alone alone (ie solo vacations). respectfully, he has a lot of dependence issues. i don't know if that's bc he doesn't feel like he's enough, or if it's something else entirely. but it's clear that he's been hurt a lot in his life, and it effects the way he goes into relationships.

and i'm in the same boat as him lol

i hope in the near future he allows himself to open up to ppl. i know it's hard, but holding that area of his life back and blaming it on work or whatever other issue is never gonna fix what happened. you also can't allow your heart to grow dark. i think he has a lot of love to give, and he shouldn't hide that in fear of getting hurt.

as for his grandfather, he seems to be a bit better now (according to what he posted yesterday), so that's good. obviously the initial shock is a lot. so i hope he eventually goes home to see family and is around them for love and support.

and i pray that next year is nicer to him.

It was during Bahrain’s first free practice session that Johanna first met Fernando Alonso. The team was happy with her time and still full of adrenaline, she decided to go for a walk around the paddock. Recognizing him from testing earlier that year, Jo greeted Lance as she passed the Aston Martin facilities.

He smiled as she slowed, “Hey Johanna, how’s practice going?”

“Pretty good, I think. Mick gave me some tips that turned out pretty useful. I’m having to completely adapt my driving style to take these turns at this speed.”

“Oh yeah, I remember that. You’ll get the hang of it.”

He started moving back towards his team’s garage, and was happy to continue the conversation as they walked. Her black race suit stood out in the sea of green, but most smiled at her as she passed. Before long, Stroll’s engineer was calling him. On the other side of the garage Alonso was getting out his car as the time ran out for the first session of the weekend.

“Mohn,” he called as she started to turn back to her walk, “how is your first weekend?”

Jo stopped short, smiling, “Well, the team’s happy so I can’t complain.”

He nodded, “And how are you?”

She looked out to the pit lane at the other crew, staff, and journalists milling about. “Nervous. There’s a lot of expectations riding on me right now.”

“Don’t worry about all of them. I’ve seen you race. You will excel here.”

Her eyebrows raised of their own accord, “You’ve seen me race?”

He grinned, “I went back and watched most of last year’s F2 season after Audi announced you as their driver. I like knowing who I am racing against.”

Johanna was shocked. Fernando Alonso, someone she had been watching since she was little, saw her as a competitor. An equal. “That’s…that’s really cool to hear, Alonso.”

Later that day, after the second session, he commented on her tweet about the car. Laughing at his response to Lance, she showed it to Oscar and Logan.

“She’s got a mentor. Oscar, how are we going to compete with her?” Logan over dramatically fell back on the couch in her driver room, “But seriously, that’s awesome.”

After the boys left, Johanna found herself doing the one thing everyone told her not to do. The comments on her tweet - and posts made by Audi Sport’s official accounts - were full of the same general sentiment. She didn’t belong here. She wasn’t good enough to compete against the other drivers. She was a PR stunt. She won’t last a year. Comment after comment it felt never-ending, and it wasn’t hard to believe the things people were writing about her. Nearly in tears, she texted her teammate. Mick was quick to respond.

Minutes later she got a text from Fernando.

Talking to him helped quite a bit, and the two of them must of said something to her other friends because just about the second her conversation ended with Alonso she got a text from Oscar inviting her to come out with the rest of the grid kids; they had taken to calling themselves that, referring to the combined trios of 2019 and 2023 rookies, mostly because it annoyed Alex and George. While they were out, Lando pulled her aside.

“All of those comments are coming from idiots that can barely drive down the street. You have just as much merit to be here as Oscar and Logan, you hear? And if anyone around the paddock says something you just let us know.”

The others overheard and gathered closer around them. George smiled at her, “Yeah, Lewis has taught the rest of us a thing or two about correcting reporters. We have no problem putting someone in their place.”

Johanna was grateful for the reminder that she had support from the people that mattered.

The Holocaust thing? Re; Vaush? Do you know what that is? He has a problem where a lot of stuff he says is taken wildly out of context by people that don't like him. He's generally a pretty smart and reasonable guy, just.... edgy. Stupidly edgy.

We all agree he was a moron for the JKR tweet, I think even he admits that now. Though mostly he says he wishes it hadn't been blown up so much it took over more important parts of the conversation.

Okay I dug up the clip I saw originally with the holocaust thing. It's from this video (starting at about 35:13. The clip is just a small portion but I recommend watching until about 41:05, or the end of that section of the video. I think Noah brings up some really good points about why this was such an issue).

Now here's how I interpreted this conversation:

Basically I guess Vaush and Noncompete (? I'm not familiar with him) were having a conversation about something relating to enslaved peoples and violence against their oppressors. Vaush, from my understanding, decided to "challenge" the logic of "enslaved people committing violence against their oppressors is justified" by basically saying "well the Nazis thought they were being oppressed by Jewish people so by your logic that makes the Holocaust okay."

He invoked the ol' "Jews controlled the banks" propaganda point as a justification for why Nazis thought they were being oppressed. When Noncompete explained that it wasn't the same thing because Nazis were not aligned with reality Vaush then doubled down and defended his stance that Nazis thought they were oppressed with "a disproportionate number of Jewish people controlled banks in Germany pre-Nazis".

And when Noncompete basically said "okay yeah we're not doing this" Vaush called him "too stupid to have a conversation with".

IMO I think this conversation follows the pattern described in this Alt-Right playbook video to a T. Opponent gives point -> Vaush counters with something only tangentially related, shifting the conversation -> Opponent counters with point -> Vaush again counters with something only tangentially related, shifting the conversation further -> When opponent decides that the argument is not being had in good faith he disengages -> Vaush basically says "he must not want to argue with me because I'm right!" and considers the debate "won".

I'm not saying Vaush is an irredemable person or a Nazi or anything based on this. Like I said I've only watched him a little bit and most of my other info about him is from clips and the like. I'm just saying that even if I take him in the best possible faith this was an idiotic thing to do, and it puts me off his content. I think you're right anon that it comes off as him being unnecessarily edgy and that is going to lead to some pretty unfortunate consequences if he doesn't think before he speaks.

There's like an actually interesting conversation to be had there. Like they could have discussed the historic oppression of Jewish people and how Nazis weaponized the consequences of their oppression against them in the form of propaganda*. They could have related that to modern day problems. They could have talked about how propaganda works, and how the best propaganda usually has a kernel of truth buried in the bullshit. But he uh, didn't.

But still, I don't think it was unsalvageable until he doubled down on the point later. It was straight up negligent of him to not, you know, acknowledge that he was misinformed or actually correct the misinformation he just shared so his audience wouldn't go spreading it around. He has a big platform. He has a duty to ensure he uses that platform responsibly. I think he has some growing to do in that area.

It's good that acknowledged he messed up with the JKR tweet, but like, I hope he used it as a learning experience too. His tweet took over the more important parts of the conversation in part because he doubled down on it instead of just being like "hey guys I was trying to make a joke but I see it didn't land. My bad. Being misogynistic even for a joke was a dumb call. Taking it down now, sorry to everyone hurt by this." If he'd done that then it could have moved the conversation back to what was really important much quicker.

I mean no hate if you like him anon, that's just one of the reasons I haven't sought out more of his stuff. If you have videos or something from him to demonstrate that he's changed since that stuff I mentioned then I'd be happy to look at him again.

*Jewish people did not own a disproportionate amount of wealth in Germany, and if they were over-represented in the banking sector that's in part because previous discrimination pushed Jewish people into banking-adjacent sectors in the first place. The TL;DR of that is that Christians viewed tax collecting, money lending, anything that dealt with cash as sinful and undesirable jobs, so those were some of the few jobs Jewish people could get for a time (because no Christians wanted them). It has nothing to do with greed or a desire for economic control.

Sorry, person who sent the Amity ask here. I saw your tweet along with the blog response. Firstly, i didnt mean for my ask to be upsetting so im sorry about that.

Secondly, i kinda wanna clarify that i meant the fandom knows Amity isnt a morally good person not so much a bad character? (although yes her writing is not that great in s2 and arguably in s1 it is 'eh' handled too.)

I think the writers really could have tackled that morality issue and possibly tried to integrate Amity KNOWING her flip was selfish, it could have been an interesting s2 dynamic with Willow.

(but ofc... Hunter, who devours screen time. sorry i hate this guy, he is so pointless in every way. familial abuse? already being done with Amity. Setting up caleb? could have been done in so many other ways that didnt make characters like Gus and Willow have like no real development. showing Belos is evil? Vee is RIGHT THERE as a experimentation victim. and ykno, trying to commit genocide is a pretty big tell of e v i l.)

No need to apologize. It's not your fault and honestly, I could in theory try to hold myself back doing these and not get as emotional. I prefer how I'm doing them now because I think A: it just shows my passion for writing which... you know, it is my job, B: it shows that I'm not just doing this to prove I'm 'better' than The Owl House or any shit and C: that all of this comes from a place of... Well, sympathy to anyone else who is like me. Anyone else who adored the show and could ignore its flaws until it just turned into something so much rougher, meaner and blatantly unplanned. I agree that tackling Amity's flip as having been selfish and only around one person would have been interesting. It also would have meant painting Lumity as a non-universal good thing and that is clearly not something they want to do, despite everything they have Luz do post them getting together. They WANT that title of healthiest couple in media for their little Disney lesbians even if they've lost that possibility long ago. So I don't blame them for not following that specific angle. But I also made my blog last time the way I did because... By the end of season 2, how much do YOU believe she's still a morally gray character? Even if she's still mostly motivated by Luz, this is a character who won't snoop, won't be mean, tries to emulate her version of Luz, which is the sweet version of Luz, when faced with a dilemma, etc. like that. She is a good guy through and through, and especially more so than Luz because she has a problem with someone and she opens up communication, despite that making NO SENSE. Then again, much of Amity's actions post becoming Luz's girlfriend don't make sense in the context to what love, acceptance, etc. like that means with the only explanation for it being that Eclipse Lake was all it took to clear all that trauma and mistreatment because "It's Luz! What was I thinking?" *siiiiiigh* And then S3, from the clips I've seen, push more her being sweet or a complete fucking disaster, continuing something that has been happening since S1 even. After all, "Watch it, nitwit!" is like... the last mean thing Amity has said or done to someone who wasn't framed as deserving it. But she has been a fucking saint ever since then. And as a note, because I call even Amity's character arc bad, this is not a bad place for it to have ended. HOWEVER, the lack of her past self, her past actions, any personal goals or the like... It'd be like if Zuko joined the gang and then immediately was smiles, rainbows and totally not interested in killing his dad because that can wait, I just want to fish! At that point it's just an entirely different character and there are definitely points at which Amity just feels like she must have an entirely different history and personality than the one we knew and were told.

And as for Hunter, I've covered some of my feelings about him when someone asked me if I thought Lunter would have been better for the show *gags* but there's obviously more I could talk about with just a piece dedicated to discussing the character. When the baseline of your character is "Discount other character", you know things are in for a rough time. The fact that he's a discount Amity when I already think so poorly of Amity's handling... OOOOOOH BOY.
