I'm looking forward to finding out more of what's gone on in the last decade in-world for multiple reasons, not least of all so I can tweak and break canon to fit my other characters' stories.
I'm not expecting Warden news, but hopefully Risa's found that cure since the clock is ticking. I also hc that Orzammar has been putting pressure on the Fereldan throne since the end of the Fifth Blight for a marriage alliance between their ruling families. The reestablished princess is one of King Alistair's advisors (and not so secret lover) anyway, so why would they pass up the opportunity for lucrative trade agreements with Orzammar? Sure, they still need an heir but dwarves have long memories.
Catelyn and Anders (and Justice) meanwhile have three children (twins Bethann and Bianca, then little Leander) and hopefully are living the quiet life on a farm somewhere in the Free Marches with twenty cats and an old mabari. Uncle Carver visits frequently. They deserve a break after everything, though they have opened a clinic in the village they settled in.
I've avoided thinking too much about Revas post-DAI since we initially weren't sure how long it's been between then and Veilguard, but I'd like for him to have succeeded his aunt as Keeper of Clan Lavellan in the ten year gap. Since the Inquisition is technically disbanded, he mostly keeps to Wycome and Kirkwall, visiting Dorian when he can. He's also fathered two children (to provide House Pavus heirs but also to fulfill a self-imposed duty to the Dalish) named Melia and Trahearne. Even with his newfound duties as Keeper and father, he hasn't abandoned the hunt for Solas and the other diplomatic connections he made in his time as Inquisitor.
And then Rook! I'm excited to see how Vergil will fit into the world.

hi :)
i'm so sorry i'm new to the whole tumblr thing. can you do 0 for absolute girlboss catelyn tully stark please?
1(social media) i know she's running her pinterest like its the navy. facebook mum, makes all the kids friend lysa on facebook cos she feels bad about everyone unfriending lysa (lysa is a public anti-vaxxer.)
2(animals that remind me of them) wolf mother :)
3(design/aesthetic thoughts) she is So sexy. love a normal redhead:)
4(sleeping habits, favourite food, all that) i would like it if sansa's lemon cake obsession was based on the fact that cat drinks lemon tea or likes lemon-y flavour. it also kinda fits her! shes a little sour (mean to her stepson) but also yummy (hot and right all the time)
5(what do they think of their friends/allies if they have any, what are they looking for in relationship, what people tend to think about them): idk how to answer this because i dont have any hcs for this? i just agree with canon. i think she and brienne could be good friends if there wasnt a war going on and she didnt die and become a zombie :) she'd definitely see brienne as a daughter and would take her out to medieval brunch
6(psychological: tastes, fears, talents, regrets, how they deal with anger, etc) i think it would be fun if she's a good fisherman. idk if it's ever brought up but i would like it if hoster and brynden taught her to fish :) the starklings go out camping and she's catches dinner :)
7(ships with them that I like or at least consider) i like nedcat i am boring. roosecat has fun fucked up flavour (the theon skin moment🥰). barbcat is hot and has one-sided enemies to lovers flair where barb hates her and cat is like oh hi barb hows domeric. also i dont ship it but i read a show! modern au dany x cat milf lesbian smut fic that i enjoyed. um.
8(non-canon character relationships) cat's mother being a whent.... i want shella whent and cat to have had some kind of relationship... also i think cat and elia would have been an interesting duo...
9(headcanons about their past) the ones i mentioned! hoster and brynden teaching her to fish and shella whent :)
10(content about them I'd like to see more of) Cant wait for twow when she kills jaime and brienne and becomes queen of westeros. jk i really really really want her to reunite with her kids even just once. i think theyre gearing up to a stoneheart/arya reunion i would like that :)

HC: Being the aunt of the Stark siblings (Ned Stark’s sister) and falling in love with Eddison Tollett
Tumblr media
Eddison “Dolorous Edd” Tollett x FemaleStark!reader, Eddard Stark x sister!reader, Stark siblings x aunt!reader
I don’t own any of the plots or characters of ASOIAF/GOT that all belongs to George R. R. Martin
Warnings: fluff, profanity, death and violence, mentions of sex. Edd being Edd. Takes place during seasons 1 to right after the Battle of the Bastards. I’ll probably do a part two to this that involves season 7 and 8.
I love Edd and he is one of my favorite characters on GOT who I find to be very underrated. There is not much content on him so what better way to start my blog than with him. I also plan to make a fic about this that will be several parts.
word count: I don’t really know , but this is hella long. Probably too long for a HC but it is gonna be a prompt for a imagine series I plan to do.
Being the aunt of the Stark siblings and falling in love with Eddison Tollet would include:
As the youngest child of Rickard and Lyarra Stark, you were just shy of your tenth name day when your father and older brother Brandon were executed by the Mad King, sparking the civil war to overthrow House Targaryen. Shortly later your brother Ned returned home with the body of your older sister Lyanna and a infant baby who he said was his son.
Ned was greatly protective of you being that you were the youngest sibling and with the death of Lyanna, you were his only living sister. He wanted you to be able to defend yourself so he began to train you how to fight which included archery, hand to hand combat, and sword fighting.
You proved yourself to be very skilled and tactical. No man in Winterfell would try to cross you because now they did not just have to worry about Ned’s wrath, but yours as well. As years went on, gossip spread throughout Westeros of the female Stark who could take down a man twice her size, and never missed a target when shooting an arrow.
You and Catelyn got along well in the beginning and were civil majority of the time living in Winterfell, things would only become strain between you two when you expressed how you felt about the way she treated Ned’s illegitimate son, Jon and when she voiced how you should be worried about things like getting married and having your own children.
With your father gone and unable to marry you off some Lord when you came of age, the responsibility to find you a suitor fell onto Ned. Being shipped off to another place unknown to you without your family was something you had great distaste for. Another thing was you wanted to marry for love, not for power or to keep alliances.
Both Ned and Benjen tried to convince you why you should marry or at least give one of your many possible suitors a chance, but it was to no prevail. You made your point clear, along with a few threats here and there. “Tell me to marry some oaf of a Lord again and I will personally see it that you no longer have hands.”
Being very close to Ned’s children
All the children love you, and sometimes go to you for training or to play games knowing that their father is often busy.
Teaching the boys (and on the downlow Arya) archery and how to sword fight whenever Ned is unable to.
Spoiling all of them on their name days.
Sansa always begging you to braid her hair.
Playing hide-n-seek with Rickon, Bran, and Arya.
Observing Bran when he climbs the walls of the castle or any tree to make sure he does not fall.
Tutoring them on the history of their House and Westeros. This would often include having to bribe them with sweets or promising you would spare with them, except Sansa. She would beg you to make her a new dress or tell her a nighttime story.
Having a soft spot for Jon, Ned’s illegitimate son he had during his time away from Winterfell during the War. You always made sure he was included in everything and was happy.
Him looking at you like a mother, seeing that Catelyn is not shy about her feelings toward the boy.
Helping Bran with his archery lessons and Arya with her needle work. Although the young girl does not like it and would prefer to pick up a sword like her brothers, she appreciates the time with you and loves that you don’t judge her for not wanting to be a ‘lady’ as you yourself would not consider yourself one either.
The direwolves being protective of you and trusting you whenever you are in their presence.
When King Robert arrives at Winterfell the two of you embrace, “Y/N! Look at you! My Gods you’ve become quite the woman.” You looked at Robert as an older brother and he would always ask Ned for updates on how you were growing up.
Cersei is not a fan of you, mainly because she knows you cannot be controlled. The same can go for Tywin who once thought about arranging a marriage between you and one of his sons but was displeased when you sent a raven back stating that if you ever are forced to marry then your designated space in the crypt of Winterfell will be filled.
Tyrion admires you, and the two of you will bond over wine and have long and thorough conversations. Jaime ignores you, which you do not mind since you find the notorious “kingslayer” to be quite arrogant.
Squealing in delight when Benjen arrives from Castle Black, the older man picking you up in an embrace and spinning you around. Your once happy mood becomes sad though when Jon tells you he is going to join Benjen in the Night’s Watch.
Although you are worried about Jon going there, you are confident that your brother will be there for him and Jon will have no trouble being a dedicated and hardworking brother of the Watch.
When Bran falls from the tower you have the same reaction as everyone else in the castle. Bran has never fell before and you have watched him climb that tower plenty of times so the situation makes you suspicious.
Staying behind at Winterfell with the boys and Catelyn despite Ned wanting you to come with him to King’s Landing with the girls. “Are you sure you don’t want to come with us? The girls could use you.” He knows how you and Catelyn can often be at each others heads and feels it would be best if you came with him.
Although something told you in your head that maybe you should go with him, you stuck with your word. “I’m sorry, Ned. With you gone and Bran in a coma, Robb is going to need my help here with Catelyn refusing to leave Bran’s side.”
The two of you hugging each other tightly the day he and the girls leave. A small voice in your head tells you to hold onto this moment, as though it would be the last.
Sansa and Arya not wanting to let go of you when you pull them into your embrace, the latter looking like she wanted to cry and begging you to go with them. You felt your eyes gloss over and bent down to her level while pulling a small dagger made of Valyrian steel from your hoister belt and placing it in her small hands. You tell her how it was one of your first weapons and how she should always have it on her, but hidden in her waistband and to only use it in emergencies.
Giving Sansa your handmade bracelet with the Stark name and sigil so she feels that she will always have a part of you with her in King’s Landing.
You and Jon have an emotional goodbye with you telling him to always stand his ground and to be the person he knows he is. Him promising you he will and that he will write to you whenever he can.
The two of you hug after you give him a brand new fur cloak you had recently made which originally was supposed to be for his name day.
You and Benjen hug one last time, making him promise to watch out for Jon and to also write to you when he can.
Helping Robb with his responsibilities as the Lord of Winterfell. Watching Ned all those years and him trusting you with information and what to do if something were to happen to him helped you guide the young Stark with handling the pressure.
When Catelyn voices suspicion about the Lannisters involvement in Bran’s fall, you agree with her and offer to go with her to King’s Landing. Robb is hesitant to let you go, but he knows you can defend both his mother and yourself and eventually agrees.
Catelyn having to stop you from killing Baelish when he takes you both to his brothel. You never liked the man and always felt he had ulterior motives to everything that came out of his mouth. While Catelyn believed him about the knife belonging to Tyrion Lannister, you thought otherwise. Tyrion was always pleasant around you and the Starks. Why he would equip someone with his own dagger to kill Bran just felt unlikely to you.
Having another emotional goodbye with Ned, this time your intuition is screaming at you to either stay or tell him to quit being the hand and come back to Winterfell.
When you and Catelyn come into contact with Tyrion at the Inn, you advised her to not do anything irrational until there is proof of her claims. She doesn’t listen and you find yourself traveling to the Vale with a bonded Tyrion.
Feeling slight relief when Bronn wins the trial by combat. It is short lived however when Catelyn informs you that Robert is dead with Joffrey now as king who has taken your brother prisoner.
Meeting up with Robb and his army where he names you one of his advisors despite the other Lords opposing it.
When they go to negotiate with Walder Frey, you stay behind at the camp so the older Lord won’t be tempted in arranging a marriage between you and one of his sons if he saw you.
Falling to the ground in despair when word travels of Ned’s death. It feels like your heart is breaking and the men around you can’t help but solemnly look at you when you run into the woods to avoid their eyes.
After your initial reaction, you do your best to remain strong for Robb. Part of you wants to get on your horse and rush to save Sansa and Arya, but after the North secedes and Robb is named King, you fear that by going it will do more harm to the family than good.
Time passes with many battles, Theon’s betrayal, no word of Arya, and Robb’s broken promise to Frey. You feel your mental state hanging by a thread, but your hope that everyone you love will be okay and the war will end soon keeps you going.
You try to persuade Robb to not marry Talisa. It’s not that you don’t like the girl, you find her to be very kind and beautiful with a golden heart, but like Catelyn you understand that Frey is not someone you cross.
He of course doesn’t listen, and you find yourself worried about the allegiance between the Frey’s and the Stark’s. During war, anything can be a reason for betrayal.
Your nightmare comes true the night Catelyn’s brother is to be wed to one of Frey’s daughters/granddaughters. You had excused yourself for a brief moment, wanting some fresh air and were on your way back when you noticed the doors were sealed and a familiar tune was playing inside. Seconds later you heard the screams and chaos unfolding, but could not react for you found yourself fighting with several members of House Frey and Bolton.
The Frey’s you were expecting treachery from, but the Boltons was shocking and you felt anger rise in you. If you could get through that door, you would have Roose’s head on a platter.
As you fought, you could hear Catelyn pleading with Frey to let Robb go. Her scream filled your ears, and you knew Robb was dead and she would be too.
You managed to kill all you opposed, running outside only to freeze at the massacre taking place. Tears threaten to fall, but you couldn’t let your emotions get you now, you had to survive.
All around you, men came at you with their swords. Steel against steel, you fought with all your might and dodged every arrow aimed at you. In your peripheral vision, you could see the stable where a now deceased Grey Wind lied.
After slashing another Frey to the ground, you ran towards the nearest horse you could find and hauled yourself on it before snapping the reins. Never looking back, you guided the horse as fast as they could go away from the Twins and it was only when you were deep in the forest with no one around did you finally give into the grief you had been holding.
Robb and Catelyn were dead, Ned was dead, Rickon and Bran were presumed dead, Arya was missing and Sansa was held hostage at the capital. You were alone and had no where to go.
The Lannisters would come looking for you if they receive word that your body was not found at the Twins. They along with the Freys and Boltons would have a bounty for your head placed.
It was after you calmed down several hours later in the dark hours of the night did you remember that Jon and Benjen were at Castle Black. It would take just under a month to travel there by horse, and you would have to pass by Winterfell which you assume will be under Roose Bolton’s rule.
It would take longer to travel and you had barely any money or food with only your sword and a small sack of silver. If you wanted to stay at any Inns you would have give an alias and disguise since you never know who could be listening.
What would have been close to a months journey for you, ended up taking several weeks longer. In that time you had many run ins with men sent to hunt you down wanting to claim the reward for your head. Your clothing and armor were ripped and stained with blood and your face was hallow with several bruises. Your once long and flowy hair was now chopped just above your shoulders covered in dirt.
When you reached Mole’s town, you are shocked to see it had been ransacked and corpses lying all over the place. Instantly you knew it had to have been Free Folk or Wildlings as the people of Westeros liked to call them. Not even bothering to scavenge for any food or water you snapped on the reins of your horse and made a beeline for Castle Black.
You nearly cried when you saw the gates of it. As you approached closer, a guard spotted you and signaled to open the gates.
It was silent throughout the place and you could feel the many eyes on you as your horse slowly trotted thorough the courtyard. The men were confused by your arrival, several whispering to each other about the ordeal.
Your eyes glanced over all the men, looking for two in particular and when you raise your head to look at the second floor of the structure you feel you heart skip when your eyes connect to the brown ones of your nephew.
Jon rushes down the stairs, ignoring the looks of his fellow brothers while you bring the horse to a halt and hop off of it not caring about passing the reins to the stable boy.
Everyone around watches as you too sprint towards each other and collide in an embrace. Jon slightly lifts you in the air and you clutch onto him in relief while soft sobs fall from your lips.
“I thought you’d be taller,” you can’t help but joke and he laughs softly while placing you back on the ground and the two of you pull away.
“I thought you were dead,” his own eyes glossy by the emotions he was feeling.
Jon introduces you to Maester Aemon, Thorne, Samwell, and Edd. Thorne isn’t pleased with your presence, especially because you’re a Stark and makes it known how women are not meant to be at Castle Black. Maester Aemon is kind and understands the situation you’re in so he welcomes you and tells Jon to get you a private room with a lock on it so the others will not try to harm you.
Sam is delighted to meet you after hearing all the stories Jon would tell him about you. He immediately starts asking you questions which was a little overwhelming but you maintained a smile nonetheless. Jon had to tell him to tone it down until you’ve managed to freshen up and rested.
Edd, well he was a little quiet but polite. He struggled to keep eye contract when he greeted you, “Pleasure to meet you my Lady.”
You gave him a smile and replied, “Oh please, no need for formalities. Y/N, is fine.”
Jon escorted you to a room close to his that he knew was unoccupied and had a lock on the door after meeting everyone. The rest of the day you bathe, have fresh clothes, and have the luxury of sleeping in a bed,
When you ask about Benjen, Jon’s face falls and you felt your heartbreak again when he tells you Benjen went missing beyond the Wall shortly after he and Jon arrived.
Jon holds you while you cry. You don’t know how much time has passed but soon there is a knock at the door which makes you gather yourself together.
When the door opens, Edd peaks his head through to inform the two of you that supper is ready. You and Jon follow him out and Jon guides you to a table where Sam is already sitting at. While Jon goes to get you and him some food with Edd, you converse with Sam who is all to happy to talk with you.
The four of you talk about recent events while you eat. You talk about the journey to Castle Black and how you narrowly escaped the Red Wedding. You talk about the bounty on your head by the Lannisters and the Boltons, who know that as long as a Stark is alive then their claim to the North will be challenged.
You learn of the deaths of Joffrey and Tywin, which has you holding down a smirk, “Pity. I wanted to do the honor myself, but I guess I’ll have to thank the lucky bastard who did.”
Your words shock the men around you, except Jon who doesn’t blame you for your anger.
Jon tells you about the Wildlings attack on Castle Black, Stannis Baratheon showing up to recruit them in his army, him being elected as Lord Commander, and the dead have awoken. You nearly choke on your stew when he tells you the last bit. You had grown up with the stories of the White Walkers and the Long Night, but you never thought you would see it in your lifetime.
He then tells you that he is planning to go to Hardhome to allow the Free Folk passage through the gates and settle south of the Wall to save them from the White Walkers, you voice that you’re going with him. He instantly objects and says it would be safer for you to stay at Castle Black.
“Jon, if you leave me here with these men I don’t know who will probably try to put their hands on me, you’re going to return with less brothers of the Watch than before because they will met their fate with my sword.”
Sam and Edd sit in silence while the two of you go back and forth until you finally snap at him to the point where he gives up. Edd couldn’t keep his eyes off you and when you met his eyes he turned away and felt his face heat up.
It was no lie that you were beautiful. As you got older people would always say you were one of the most beautiful ladies in Westeros and it was a shame to some how you would rather pick up a sword and be a fighter than take any available suitor at your door.
Edd could not help but be flustered in your presence, it had been so long since he ever had a conversation with a woman that he didn’t know how to act. He wouldn’t admit it, but he was intimidated by you after hearing all the stories about you from Jon.
You glance him over while he conversed with Jon. He wasn’t bad looking at all, in fact you found the lean man to be quite attractive. While every girl when you were a teenage was chasing after men who looked like Jamie Lannister that were full of themselves, you were the opposite and would rather have someone who was kind to you and treated you with respect.
When the two pause in their conversation, you took the chance to start talking with Edd. Asking him questions about where he was from and why he joined the Night’s Watch.
He was slightly taken back by you wanting to talk to him, but soon a conversation flowed and you two talked for what felt like hours until Jon pulls you away, insisting that you get some well needed rest.
You bid your goodbye to Sam and Edd, telling them both to not be shy and come find you if they ever need someone to talk to or help with anything. Although the message was directed at both, you kept your eyes on Edd while giving him your signature smile.
His face turns red and you let out a giggle, turning to follow Jon back to your chambers. When Edd looks at Sam, the younger man is raising his eyebrows with a smirk making Edd glare at him, “Why the fuck are you giving me that look for?”
On the way to Hardhome you meet the red-bearded Free Folk Chief, Tormund who instantly takes a liking to you. “Aye, I didn’t you lot had Lady Crows.”
“I’m far from what you would call a Lady, Mr. Wildling.”
Talking with Edd the whole way and being by his side. You were afraid you were going to annoy him at times, but if you did then he was good at hiding it.
He would talk about his family life and things he liked to do as a kid in the Vale.
You would tell him what it was like growing up in Winterfell with your siblings, although you would become sad when you realized you are now the only living one of the bunch.
When you reached Hardhome, Edd and Jon would stay close to you when they approached the Free Folk and when they were negotiating. You had to contain your laughter when Tormund said Jon was prettier than his daughters.
Laughing when Edd got told off by Wun Wun, but your laughter is cut short when you hear the dogs beginning to bark and screams in the distance.
When the dead attack the hut, you and Edd fight beside each other, destroying any wright in your sight. You both go to find Jon, but you’re tackled by a wright and struggle to fight it off. It manages to stab you in the side before Edd is able to get it off you and destroy it.
The adrenaline you have makes you unaware you are wounded and continue to find Jon. When you get to him, you three run to the boats with Tormund and Wun Wun. Edd grabs your hand and jumps in with you following behind him.
You initially stand next to him, Jon and Tormund, watching the man said to be the Night Kind raise his arms up and the thousands of Free Folk who were massacred rise up with blue eyes, but become lightheaded due to the amount of blood loss from the stab wound and your knees buckle.
Edd is the one who catches you and brings you down to lean on him while he sits. You groan and clutch your side where you feel the blood. Jon rushes to you and takes whatever he can to apply pressure on the wound while begging you to stay awake.
You pass out from the pain but wake up on one of the beds on the ship with your side bandaged. You try to sit up, but a hand reaches out to stop you and you snap your head around to see Edd beside you with a solemn look.
“Easy, Y/N. You need to take it slow.”
He tells you that you’ve been asleep for days and they were afraid you wouldn’t wake up. He and Jon were taking turns watching over you incase something happened.
Jon sighing with relief when he see’s you’re okay. For the remainder of the way to Castle Black, he and Edd watch over you and advise you to stay out of any fighting if they were to run into any.
Of course you protest, but the pain in your side causes you to grumble and cave into their orders.
Tormund hangs with you often and his jokes make the situation more bearable. Little do you know, Edd can be seen in the corner with a small glare whenever Tormund flirts with you.
The more you and Edd talk, the more you find yourself falling for the man. Yeah he can be pessimistic and sarcastic, but you also can be like this and his snide comments make you laugh. You also find it adorable when he gets flustered around you.
When you arrive at Castle Black, Jon helps you to your room with Ghost watching over you while he goes to oversee the Free Folk passing through the gates.
Edd brings you food, and you can’t help but stare at him. He notices your stare and becomes red. “Is there something on me face?”
By now your feelings for him have grown stronger, and it was hard not too fall for the kind man after the way he’s been helping you and being your company whenever Jon was busy with his duties.
He helps you sit up and stays with you while you eat, the two of you making small talk here and there. Jon returns to retrieve Ghost leaving you two alone and soon the conversation becomes more serious.
Before you two knew it, you’re leaning in and your lips connect with his in a soft kiss. You knew he didn’t have much experience with women, so you made sure not to over do it and pulled away after a few seconds.
The man is a stuttering mess which leaves you in giggles. You don’ talk about the kiss for awhile and Edd starts to avoid you which leaves you hurt.
When you confront him about it, dragging him to your room to so you two can talk about it and ask why his behavior changed all of a sudden. An argument begins with him saying it would never work between you two due to the vow he made and you being a highborn.
“Fuck the vow and fuck the standards about being a highborn or lowborn.”
Ends with you both of you being fed up and colliding your lips together. You don’t know how long you two had been kissing until you heard Ghost whimpering and people shouting outside.
Running out to the courtyard where Jon’s body laid where you froze and let out a scream. The brothers who were there watched with sadness as you cried over his body until Davos ordered them to move him to a room.
You closing his eyes and Edd having to hold you back from killing Thorne.
You chasing after him when he goes to get the Free Folk, begging to go with him but he kisses you and tells you to stay with Jon.
When he returns and Jon is resurrected, you hug your nephew tightly but careful not to cause him any pain where he was stabbed. You kept a glare on the men being hanged the whole time while standing beside Edd.
When Sansa arrives along side a woman named Brienne of Tarth and a man named Podrick, you nearly burst into tears. You waited until after she and Jon hugged, to start walking down the stairs where you heard her gasp.
Sansa running to you with tears dripping down her face and crashing into you where you two nearly fell to the ground.
Having to calm her down because she was so overwhelmed with emotion having believed you were dead all this time.
When you learn about what Ramsay did to her, you are boiling with anger and when his note arrives at Castle Black with his threats and revelation that Rickon is his hostage you are on board with Sansa of taking back Winterfell.
Edd doesn’t want you to leave and the two of you have a serious conversation about it.
“You don’t have the men and you know that. Jon knows that. It’s a suicide mission with no survivors on your end.
“I am Y/N Stark and Winterfell is my home, it is my nieces and nephews home and a monster who hurt them and has Rickon has taken it. I will take it back.”
He knows he can’t change your mind and sighs in defeat. “At least promise me that you’ll come back. You’ll come back to me.”
“I will.”
The night before you are set to ride to get allegiance from the various houses of the North is when you and Edd spend the night with each other. It started out with you two just talking in the comfort of each others presence by the fire and before you knew it, your lips entwined in a passionate kiss and clothes are being removed.
The whole night consisted of hush whispers, soft touches and becoming one with each other. and despite him never being with a woman prior to you, he impressed you with every action and every touch he gave you.
The next morning you dress in silence, but it was a comforting one and not awkward. He helps you gather your things and when you go to meet everyone else he stops you and kisses you not caring about the people around.
Sansa is surprised but smiling, Tormund is grinning like a fool, and Jon is simply frozen with his eyes wide. When you pull away you whisper “Don’t miss me too much,” and send him a wink before turning to go mount your horse. He watches you go, not bothering to hide the fact he is totally checking you out with a smirk on his face.
Jon can’t even begin to wrap his mind at the whole thing. His aunt who basically raised him as his own with one of his best friends. He can’t judge Edd for breaking the vow since he himself broke it, but he just feels odd that it was with someone in his family.
Nonetheless, when Jon tells him not to burn Castle Black while he’s gone, he makes it clear to Edd he will impale him with his sword if he were to hurt you.
You being frustrated when non of the Lords you visited in the North were willing to help your family. When Lady Lyanna of House Mormont you felt relief although you were still worried about the numbers.
Meeting with Ramsay made you want to throw up. His face, his voice, the way he presented himself, never before had you wanted to punch a man so hard till his teeth flew out.
When he made a comment about taking you along to give to the Umber Lord when they won, you had to mentally stop yourself from throwing the knife in your waistband at him.
“You better pray to the Gods tonight that Jon gets to you first before I do, Lord Bolton, because your final moments with me will be anything but quick and easy.”
Letting out a gut-wrenching scream when you watch Rickon die. Your heart is beating so fast when Jon charges at Ramsay’s army and you waited until after the first Calvary collision to run into the battle.
The men your fighting were surprised to see a woman on the field, but didn’t get a chance to say anything to you because they were to busy becoming corpses once you were done with them.
You having a one-on-one with Jon Umber, who Ramsay said he would sell you to. He almost overpowered you, with your sword being disarmed and him trying to choke you to death. Luckily you managed to get the knife from your boot and slash his throat.
You can barely see with all the mud and blood in your face from fighting, but you are able to help Jon off the ground when you two are stuck in the middle of the pit.
Almost crying in relief when the Knights of the Vale arrive. You run with Jon to confront Ramsay at Winterfell, slashing every Bolton, Umber, and Karstark in your way until it is only you, Jon, Tormund, the Free Folk and Ramsay.
You watched as Jon slowly approached him and every arrow Ramsay sent his way be lodged in the Mormont shield Jon held. When Jon sent punch after punch to his face, you watched with a straight face until Sansa appeared and that’s when you finally let the tears fall from your face.
Spitting at Ramsay when Jon walks away before helping but up the Stark banners around the castle.
Placing a kiss on Rickon’s head when they bring him to you, Sansa, and Jon. You didn’t hide the fact you were crying, he was your nephew and you could remember the day you first held him.
After all has done and Winterfell is back in the hands of the Starks, you plan to ride back to Castle Black when the sun rises. Jon and Sansa are hesitant, and would rather you stay with them, but you tell them about the promise you made.
“You really love him don’t you?” “I never thought I would love anyone other than my family, but Edd....he took me by surprise.”
When you arrive at Castle Black, the men in charge of the doors rush to open them. As your horse gallops through and towards the stable boy you can see Edd from the corner of your vision exit his office and rush down the steps.
He helps you off your horse and takes you into his arms, pressing his face into your hair. “You came back.”
You pressing your lips against his in a soft but meaningful kiss, “I told you I would.”

Brienne / Jaime / Samwise / Eowyn
brienne
favorite thing about them: difficult to answer because i talk about them everyday but i enjoy how the presence of choice is always present in her everything. it was her choice to follow renly, to serve catelyn, to keep her promise to catelyn, to find jaime’s honor. she is never forced to do anything; everything she has done is by her own choice which is such an interesting juxtaposition to characters like catelyn where they are very much tied down and limited by their society and how they expect women to be. brienne on the other hand, has the luxury of choice--which is a freedom on itself, but that is not to say she isn’t limited by their society. she still IS, but it’s interesting how she managed to achieve that semblance of freedom even though it isn’t since she’ll still being evaluated to their standards (and unlike cat, she’s being evaluated as both a knight and a woman and she’s seen as a failure of both). i also like how--despite the cruelties thrown her way--she never perpetuates it even though she could have!!! easily!! and it’d be understandable if she does but she chooses not to do it. she even feels sympathy for the people who played the bet on her when she heard what happened to them which is super crazy like those dudes didn’t give a shit about her but here she is giving a shit about them even if it’s just for a moment and it’s just like...........wow. you are choosing to be like that and i love you for it
least favorite thing about them: worst taste in men.
favorite line: her whole speech in the quiet isle is so heartbreaking and also one of my favorite passages in the whole story. her saying that selwyn deserved to have daughters who will sing and dance in his halls, and a son that would give him honor but all he is left with is the freakish one that’s not fit to be a son or daughter first of all heartbreaking ): second of all the underlying implication that if she’s the one who died but her other siblings--whether it be galladon, arianne or alysanne--that lived then maybe selwyn wouldn’t be so dishonored is so!!!!! the survivor’s guilt of it all even though it’s not her fault!!!! and it’s really the way that she DID try to be alysanne/arianne, and she DID try to be galladon for him but none of the roles fit because she’s meant for something greater 😭😭😭😭
brOTP: pod and brienne ofc! next to pia and brienne, then sandor and brienne, and then sam and brienne.
OTP: jb
nOTP: tormund x brienne LOL we dont do that here
random headcanon: brienne likes to write poetry and she wrote a bunch dedicated to renly LOL. her old poems are stashed in the bottom of her trunk, collecting dust in her childhood room.
unpopular opinion: brienne’s self-righteous, judgemental and stubborn nature is not as explored nor brought up when talking about her character tbh and i feel like that facet of her character shouldn’t be ignored. when we explore her flaws, it’s usually about her naiveté which is fair since she IS naive--but that’s not her only flaw lol
song i associate with them: rabbit heart (raise it up) by florence + the machine
favorite picture of them: erika’s drawing of brienne in her tarth armour is one of my favourite pieces ever + this one with dunk’s shield!!!
jaime
favorite thing about them: his pov in asos is what made me like him tbh he is just SO well written, and his character is compelling and interesting. his relationship with knighthood is so interesting too like he is THE stereotypical knight in shining armor except he’s not that. he is just so disillusioned by knighthood but he still continues to follow it despite all, and it’s really the way that his identity has been formed and given to him to wear!! from being tywin’s son, then cersei’s mirror, then the kingsguard then the kingslayer and it’s like none of these identities were made by his own hands but he wears them because they’re a role to play and that’s what he knows what to do, but then he suddenly learns to step back and craft his own identity and be whoever what he wants to be it’s like..........what are u gonna be huh!!!!! it’s like there is a mirror but the person on the other side has never been HIM till now i am going insane. and i was talking about the presence of choice being present for brienne but for jaime.........it isn’t .....not really.............not till now.
least favorite thing about them: that scene where he touched cleos’ mushy head was disgusting
favorite line: how can such a night be beautiful? he asked himself. why would the stars want to look down on such as me? which is so WAAH THE DRAMA. but it’s also the loneliness and the yearning and it’s grasping for something that he can never hold, arms outstretched to hold on to something so far away and it’s also about the celestial imagery of the stars and it’s relationship with brienne (the evenstar) and arthur dayne (star of the morning) and how those two are honorable knights but jaime is not!!! and why would they look down on someone such as him!!!! fuck.
brOTP: his relationship with tyrion ): i also like ilyn and jaime, and pia and jaime. sandor and jaime would be interesting as well since that’s like ~the two beasts~ for their respective batb
OTP: jb :\
nOTP: jaime/sansa lmao
random headcanon: jaime has a fat ass. like i know he’s canonically skinny now because of his imprisonment but you’re gonna have to pry jaime with thick thighs and fat ass away from my cold dead manicured fingernails
unpopular opinion: he’s going to live by the end <3
song i associate with them: time in a tree by raleigh ritchie
favorite picture of them: fawn’s drawing of jaime being a dilf ):
samwise
mind you i haven’t read the books so im going by the film lol
favorite thing about them: their everything <3 )):
least favorite thing about them: i dont think im allowed to say shit about sam tbh i feel like im gonna be tasered if i do
favorite line: it’s your sam!!!!!!!! and also i can’t carry it for you but i can carry you waaah
brOTP: frodo/sam
OTP: frodo/sam
nOTP: um idk
random headcanon: they’re super hot but that’s not a headcanon
unpopular opinion: nothing i love them
song i associate with them: i think how was your day? by mellow fellow fits them
favorite picture of them: this one bc it’s so cute kekeke
eowyn
favorite thing about them: they had very cute outfits honestly i think her wardrobe was my favorite out of everyone
least favorite thing about them: not enough screen time
favorite line: her iconic i am no man line ig
brOTP: eowyn and merry!
OTP: i would say with that guy she ended up with but i also dont know HOW they got together?? like 🧍
nOTP: n/a
random headcanon: idk enough about her to make hcs
unpopular opinion: i thought the aragorn one-sided romance was a bit ? lol like why are you hitting on him he already told you he got someone else
song i associate with them: king and lionheart by of monster and men ig but im not so sure and that’s so general
favorite picture of them: i haven’t seen much eowyn content to have a fave pic sorry!!

I'm not sure if you've ever mentioned anything about this but how do you feel about show Roose? I was really sad to see his character get cut so much but I really like his voice,,,,it's a good Roose voice ( also it's CRIMINAL how they took away the Bolton's pink like they don't even wear anything but black in the show 😭😭 ) (( also also I absolutely love your art YOU MAKE SO MUCH GOOD ART OF UNDER APPRECIATED CHARACTERS ITS SO GOOD TO SEE 🥺😭♥️♥️ ))
I think the actor is very handsome and talented! I like reading his Interviews, he seems very intelligent and you can see the thought he put into his character and his scenes. He did a great job with the material he was given, and i think it’s very understandable and professional that he read the first books but then decided to focus his portrayal on the show scripts, because the way they wrote him was too different.
Did you read the books before you started filming? I read the books before I started. Well, I read two of the books, and then I stopped actually. Because the character in the books is very, very different to the character in the show. The core differences were he spoke with a whisper. He never raised his voice. He had no emotion on his face. I remember there's a [line] that joy and laughter were very similar. So you couldn't play that. It's fine if it was the Roose Bolton show, you could do something like that. The character was not written like that at all. So it kind of did me a disservice reading the books. So I put them aside and just concentrated on the character in the scripts. - Michael McElhatton, IGN interview
But also, in the end, what he mentions about the difference is part of why, as a book stan, the show version doesn’t interest me that much; it’s not even about him specifically, but just a general thing all the show characters share. Just like most other characters they adapted, they completely suck the fun out of the character grrm wrote - no leeches, no icy eyes or pale face, no pink house sigil; ending up with a character that pretty much looks and acts like every other dude. I don’t need Roose to look like Dracula (as much as i love it, the long dark hair for example is not book canon, since his hair is never described), but he should be memorable! Instead, i often hear that people new to the show don’t remember his s2 scenes, or mix him up with other regular looking dudes like Stannis, or otherwise don’t remember him. One of grrm’s biggest strengths is how with just a few traits he makes every character memorable and distiguishable; think about any random character and youll probbaly remember at least one “special trait” that sets their appearance or personality apart from the rest. The show completely falls flat in this regard, ironically making it so that the books make better use of the “visual medium” than the show does.
Apart from that, visually the actor is ok; Considering a Dance with Dragons came out at a similar time as the first season and the casting process takes a while, I don’t blame them for leaving out some details of his character descriptions (for example his “ageless” appearance or the small close-set eyes are only mentioned in aDwD). His height (175cm, influenced my hc for the book version) and body type are close to the book, though i wish they’d left him clean-shaven like in s2 for the entire show. He has a bit of a long face which fits with the book’s northmen. He’s no Supermodel but i heard him called handsome frequently, so idk if that fits with the book description “not handsome but not quite plain”; i love interesting faces more than conventionally attractive ones so i can’t really judge objectively. Voice is imo too deep (imdb also calls it “commanding”), i imagine him having more of a mid range voice; and the actor also just talks normally instead of being notably whispery/quiet.
In terms of characterization, as the actor hints at, I do not think they are written very similarly. Roose in the books is a character who is ruled by an underlying fear/anxiety that drives him to, at all times, ensure his own safety and health (I elaborate on this more in this meta); The show version the way i remember it does not show this a lot. He doesn’t have the leeching scene and if he has scenes about being obsessed with health they werent prominent enough for me to remember (maybe the Jaime scene included some book dialogue?). He is serious, but he does not act emotionless to hide his feelings (Though the show scene where he says he doesn’t drink was a nice touch; it is not completely congruent with book canon, but brings across the same idea that he wants to be in control of a situation and his feelings).
For a bigger example: Show!Roose’s characterization in the Red Wedding episode shows him acting very confident and in a great mood, bantering with Cat, and staying in the room the entire time while wearing chainmail; while in the books he barely eats and doesn’t talk to Cat, is shown exchanging threatening glances with Walder, and leaves early to ensure his own safety only to return fully decked out in armor to give Robb the final blow. In the books, imo, you can see that he is stressed out by the situation; because while he planned it very thoroughly with Lothar Frey, it is still a great risk for such a cautious man to take, and he needs to trust that Walder doesn’t backstab him.
Bolton had made a toast to Lord Walder's grandsons when the wedding feast began, pointedly mentioning that Walder and Walder were in the care of his bastard son. From the way the old man had squinted at him, his mouth sucking at the air, Catelyn knew he had heard the unspoken threat.
They are not necessarily great story-changing differences, but to me still paint a different picture of his character. People always say “oh a character doesnt need to look exactly like the descriptions as long as the actor works for the story, oh you dont need to adapt every little character detail as long as the story is intact”, but do this too much and somewhere along the way you lose what makes the character themselves. The small details and human traits are what makes me love a character, so if those are missing i end up not seeing them as a an adaptation of the same guy, even if the plot is similar. I do think there are scenes in the show where you can see the scriptwriter read the books and put in some of the book characterization, but the general direction of the character is still different.
I also loathe the s2 change that had Arya as Tywin’s cupbearer; it removes one (/two) of Roose’ best chapters and also the one that establishes a lot of his character traits and Red Wedding foreshadowing. The Tywin-Arya scenes are everything wrong with the show; changing scenes arbitrarily to prop up fan-favourite characters (later culminating in stuff the s7 wight hunt), bad “feminism” (like Arya saying “most girls are idiots”), having characters act OOC to be more “likable” or “sympathetic” (like that weird “fatherly” way Tywin acts towards Arya), ignoring how people in that time period and universe act (as if a man like Tywin would even glance at a servant), etc etc... here is a great post on that scene by @turtle-paced.
As far as the post-s3 scenes go I’m not a fan (though i did not rewatch those a lot, so feel free to remind me if i forgot something). i don’t like that they made Ramsay the main character of the plot, with Roose merely as a supporting role side character; the books give Roose a great arc starting in aDwD that imo is needed as a continuation of the Red Wedding plot. They pretty much cut out the Winterfell aDwD story (one of my fave storylines in asoiaf) entirely and replaced it with forgettable scenes. Replacing Jeyne with Sansa not only makes no sense for Littlefinger but also for Roose, since that makes him antagonize the Iron Throne. His death scene was so bad that it makes me hopeful he will have a bigger story in the books, and that they just culled him because they wanted to thin out plots like they did with Mance, Barristan, and Stannis.
Though in the end, while i don’t like the show’s writing and visual direction, i do still thank them for making the Boltons such prominent characters; They seem to have gained a lot of fans through the show, and are regarded as very important characters (i even see them in some “great houses” gifsets). They are of course also important in the books, but not as prominent/central as for example Ramsay was in s6. So even if they are adapted badly (Show Ramsay is especially bad), if they make people interested in their book counterparts, it’s still some sort of a win in my book.
(Also, thank you so much!! Glad you enjoy my art ❤️❤️)

🔥+ shipping
Send me a “ 🔥 “ for an unpopular opinion.
I wanted to address this so badly. Thank you Tati for giving me this opportunity to actually talk about shipping in general but to be honest I want to focus my rant on a pair of ships that receive a lot of hate. Why those two? because one of them concerns me personally and the other because it’s the personal preference of friends of mine and is also a general preference of a lot of fans and you know what? they deserve to be defended.
First Rhaegar and Lyanna; I understand the complications of this ship in general, a man who is married and a young girl. The are a lot of mixed comments about what actually is going on between these two, was it kidnapping, was it willingly. What ever it was at the end they were together at the end they are the potential parents of Jon Snow, I say potential I don’t say probably. I wont add my hc’s toward something canonically viewed in the books. And please notice that I am saying book, I’m not saying show.I can’t go saying to people that Lyanna sobbed because she wanted to go home. Lyanna sobbed because she wanted her child safe, Lyanna sobbed because she knew she was dying and honestly if I am dying I would have probably want to go home too, I’ll probably want to find my final rest among my family or at least the memory of it.I can’t go saying that Rhaegar raped Lyanna because, we don’t know. There’s nothing in the books that says specifically or at least makes us believe that. All we know are gossips and gossips are often exaggerated lies or too well adorned truths. Is like what I always do with Ashara’s character. I never take the gossips  about her decide her personality, whisper and gossips are often a blurred view of something much greater or something very small. Also I wanna  add that I am a survival of rape and the shit I have to read sometimes about Lyanna and Rhaegar is so fucked up, but so fucked up. People say do not romanticise a rapist and his victim and you are right no one should but the thing is WE DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN THEM.STOP ADDING YOU HC’S TO A CANON STORY JUST FOR YOUR OWN… IDK, AMUSEMENT?We don’t know if he lied to her, we don’t know if he kept her in the dark about what happened to her brother and her father, we don’t know anything. And honestly keeping a secret from someone is not rape. STOP this BS at once. When someone take the voice and authority of your own body, that’s rape. and when I read that all I could think off was ‘you’re just taking the importance of an awful act, you’re becoming the abuser instead. You’re making out of that act something foolish’, taking your voice and denied you the choice of consent? That’s rape. Not a lie about a family member.
Second Daario and Daenerys: This touch a fiber. why? because I have a Daario – I LOVE DAARIO’S character book and show wise and for me is really hard to put aside people’s hate. I’m not gonna say opinion because it’s not one, it’s just blatant hate. And Believe me when I understand being an Anti, but not liking a character doesn’t mean you should come up with lies about said character. Calling Daario rapist without actually knowing how his character is ( which I bet is little because most people don’t pay attention to details especially when it comes to a character they dislike ) is just stupid. I have to say it how it is and I’m not saying the person is stupid, their hate is stupid. Listen, I don’t like Robert Baratheon nor Catelyn Tully-Sark but I’ll never shame people for liking them, I’ll never tell others that they are garbage for liking say characters, I share what I think and discuss it in a civil way and everyone is happy. Because doing the opposite just make you look like a child. So let me get into the  matter at hands. Daario never took Dany by force, never insinuated more than necessary. He was flirtatious with her, he courted her and he even asked for her hand in marriage but I side track. He never put a finger on her until she was the one to make the first move, when she was the one to ask to be kissed and to be taken. Yes he is a grow man but in the books when she meets him, she’s taken as a woman. Not as a child – she calls her self “young girl” to play with the mind of her future enemies or to make them believe she’s innocent and dumb but honestly? Dany is a dragon on a sheep fur. Dany owned her shit by saying she wanted Daario, so don’t come here talking nonsense about something you have no proves.Third: LET PEOPLE SHIP WHAT THEY WANT, IT’S 2019 AND WE ARE STILL WITH THIS SHIT

Westeros and The Last Unicorn
One of my headcanons that I recently shared with @lj-todd is based on the movie The Last Unicorn. If you have not watched it then I recommend you do. In my hc, some people are born the human version of unicorns. They have a unique aura, can speak to animals to an extent, possess a little magic, both genders can have kids and their presence causes the surrounding miles of land to have reasonably good weather, crops and plant life are healthy,  some protection against deadly injuries and make it near impossible for attackers to take capture their home. One year all the human-unis of the kingdom start to disappear until Jon snow is the only human-uni that remains earning the title "The Last Unicorn". One night Jon runs off to find the others and free them.
My Westeros!Last Unicorn headcanon main points:
The theme song to the movie is a real thing in this world but the lyrics are changed around to fit Jon. Anyone with time and effort has a chance to figure out where the last unicorn is just by listening to the song which pisses Ned off because he wants to protect his son, gods damn it! Below is the Westeros version of the song in my head
"When the last falcon flies over the last crumbling mountain
And the last lion roars at the last dusty fountain
In the shadow of the Godswoods though he may be young and unworn
They will stare unbelieving at the last unicorn
When the first breath of winter through the flowers is icing
And you look to the south and a pale moon is rising
And it seems like all is dying and would leave the world to mourn
In the North hear the laughter of the last unicorn
I'm alive, I'm alive
When the last moon is cast over the last star of morning
And the future has passed without even a last desperate warning
Then look to the capital whereby the path to the wall is torn
Look and see him how he sparkles, it's the last unicorn
I'm alive, I'm alive"
Ned keeps Jon more or less confined to Winterfell unless under guard once the other unicorns start disappearing in force.
Catelyn still dislikes Jon because he is a bastard but doesn't speak of sending him away because his mystic presence help keeps her wild children uninjured.
Ned keeps getting marriage offers for Jon once all the other unis disappear and the 7 kingdoms are left to the mercy of the mother nature and enemies once more. These offers range from multiple houses including Bolton, Freys, Tyrell and even the Lannisters. Robert's drunken letter offering for Jon to come to be a mistress in King's Landing with the promise all children would be legitimized and taken care of it is torn, stomped and burnt.
Some wildlings somehow hear about Jon and make an attempt to kidnap him but the wild animals near Winterfell are not having it.
Tyrion Lannister is also a human-uni which is another reason he is still alive. Other Human-Unis, Nymeria or Elia sand, Loras Tyrell, Talla Tarly, Mya Stone
Yes, seems strange I know. Have any ideas or comments? Wanna discuss a point? Let's talk!

okay BUT
i’mma fix this stark family fuck up.
after bran becomes king they put together a small council that’s like just random blokes - no bronn as master of coin (jesus fucking CHRIST, who the fucks idea WAS IT to make that man a MASTER of FUCKING COIN? WHAT THE FUCKBALLS), no tyrion as the hand - just random people to signify that yea this is a beginning of something new. and i saw that one post explaining all the random weird stuff bran does when he’s the king - like he has there secret passageways and corridors all around the castle and he sometimes just likes to scare people by just silently rolling out from behind a random tapestry or something, kinda like hogwarts style - so that’s now my hc.
then we go back to WF where sansa is crowned queen but she’s not alone. brienne, pod, sam and gilly, arya, jon, davos, even edmureand robin arryn, they’ll all be there and we see the celebrations afterwards where sansa just sits with her friends and laughs and they’re all joking around and Arya says she’ll leave on her ship in a few weeks. and oh yea the prince of dorne keeps sending sansa letters and annoying her and she thinks he’s unbearable but she also quite likes him and his cockiness and in the years to come he’ll visit the north and sansa’ll visit dorne quite a lot, when with brienne and pod and davos and co., when with her girlfriends and the relations between the northernmost and the southermost kingdoms of westeros have never been better and everyone’s just wow and no you can’t convince me to change this hc, ever
and now to the main part
well, arya is on her ship and they’re just abt to leave when she hears someone riding towards the harbor and gendry rides there completely sweaty and out of breath (bc he hated it at the storm’s end (he got to keep storm’s end after dany’s death and he’s spent his time there up until now) alone and it wasn’t him and he can’t bear it so when he heard arya was leaving he immediately jumped on a horse (or maybe he sails to north idk i have no idea of the time needed to travel from the stormlands to north? well he rides there and the timeframe has to fit that ANYWAY) and came to North and Sansa told him Arya had already left to the harbor but that he might make it and he did) and he jumps off his horse and jumps to the boat and just looks at arya and goes ‘m’lady i would like to come with you if you’ll have me’ and arya smacks him bc god she hates when he talks like that but she can’t help herself (and okay oh FUCk gendry looks so FINE he’s even more muscular now and his hair has grown a bit and he has a slight stubble on his jaw and arya realizes she’s checking him out and goddamn stop it) and she chuckles and they sail off together and just fuck off for a few years.
and then they come back a few years later and go to wf and sansa is there and she’s now married to a handsome, strong, gentle, kind man from a northern house or from the riverlands or the vale or whatever and she has small twin boys and she’s expecting her third child (she’ll be a she and she’ll be named lyanna catelyn btw) (the twin boys are named theon and robb and no i’m not crying you are) she got the family she deserves and the loving husband she deserves and she’s now happy and right where she wants to be and no i’m not crying here it’s just allergies ‘s all
and arya smiles at her sister's newfound happiness and takes robb in her arms where the small boy giggles and pulls her hair and she and gendry stay in WF for a few weeks until they decide to travel to the stormlands together and they’ll stay there, at least for a while but years pass and arya finds she quite likes the stormlands and living with gendry in the castle and riding around and visiting villages, talking with smallfolk and listening to their stories about anything and everything. and sooner or later she finds out she’s pregnant and she has a crisis because she doesn’t want that she doesn’t want to be a mother she doesn’t know how and fuck what is she going to do but they’ll figure something out, gendry promises, and arya believes him and she gives birth to a beautiful baby girl with the black hair of the baratheons but when she opens her eyes they’re grey, startlingly so, the same Stark grey as hers and she cries and smiles and knows that she’ll love her with all her heart
(and okay let’s just get this out there; bronn is not, not in any fucking universe, in any fucking decent version of this story the fucking lord of the reach, jesus fucking christ, i don’t care who is or if anyone just no one fucking give that man ANYTHING, much less a whole fucking kingdom) (like idk just ship him over the narrow sea to one of the free cities where he can whore around and drink himself to death all i care ffs) (also tyrion. tyrion can fuck off with bronn.) (so that’ll leave the reach and the westerlands unruled but i’m sure bran already had a solution to this problem too bc he has seen it in advance (no shit) and find someone or two someones to rule the kingdoms.)
oh and you thought i forgot jon? well, jon got to spend about 6 weeks that side of the wall when he got a raven from his sister that told him to haul his sorry arse back home and he hesitates but he gets a new letter every week and after he’s received 8 he just fucking gives up (partly also bc tormund is getting really annoying with it and he pressures him to go back bc he saw one of the letters sansa sent and hasn’t shut up about how jon should just go back) and so jon goes back and he’s been pardoned and he is welcomed to the north but he knows that he can never forgive himself and that this betrayal. this deed is too bad to forgive and he goes to wf but sansa is there and she helps him through the bad days and listens to him when he needs to talk and she always finds ways to help him and the words to console him and gods she really is a treasure isn’t she? {and really the realm knows about him now, almost every major house throughout the kingdoms got varys's letters telling jon's parentage and sometimes someone would tentatively bring the subject up but jon always freezes and clenches his fists and looks like he's about to be sick and sansa or arya shoots a murderous glare in the direction of anyone who mentions this or sends a curt letter which usually shuts the other person up and jon is so grateful to his sisters because they understand and they know, even if at times sansa looks at him like she'd like him on the throne, like she's thinking about it and "what if's" are going through her head but then she sighs and lets those thoughts go because what can she do, really? it's over, it was a possibility a long time ago but not anymore. but he thinks about it too sometimes, wonders if it would've worked, wonders if he could've been that, a good king, a responsible leader. he knows he could've but he wouldn't have liked that. the capital. the people there, the castle. he likes it better in wf, where he belongs. the north.}
and then one day arya returns with gendry and the starks - the pack - are together again. ghost finally found nymeria and her pack roaming around in the woods at the border of riverlands and the north and it took a while but nymeria finally recognized him and one evening there are horrified screams all around the town and they can be heard in the castle and jon and sansa and arya are baffled but then they see what it’s about and arya rushes down with jon and sansa at her heel and it’s nymeria and ghost and nymeria’s pack and arya hugs nymeria and ghost goes straight to jon but one of the wolves of the pack approaches sansa and nudges her belly and she stares at the animal in puzzlement but then she stoops down and scratches her behind her ear and she licks her face and from that day the wolf follows her everywhere.
and the wolves quickly form a kind of “protect all the starks” squad and a few of the younger wolves, more cubs than anything else, are especially fond of the twins, robb and theon, and on good winter days you can hear the happy laughter and delighted cries of the two toddlers from the godswood where they are playing with some of the wolves and–
