Hi! Just wanna ask when is usually the Our Sky series is posted/made? Like is it after all the series for the year are finished? Annndd all of the series that was published get those episodes from our skyy???

hii! i accidentally went way overboard with my response so tldr: there's no timeline for when our skyy's come out, there's no guarantee that we'll even get another our skyy (although imo it's extremely likely that we will), and the series included for special episodes in our skyy aren't necessarily even aired or filmed by the time its announced to be included lol (and most shows don't actually get our skyy eps, but the popular ones usually will).

and the longer answer + my speculation about our skyy 3 is under the cut if u want to read my rambling lol 😅:

so there isn't any specific time the our skyy anthologies are made, and not all series are included in it. For reference, our skyy 1 aired in 2018 (and there wasn't necessarily any intention back then for there to be another our skyy), but then our skyy 2 came out in 2023, and obviously by then the bl landscape and gmmtv's scope had changed a lot.

Both of them included series from any year before it was released. However for our skyy 2, what was interesting was that it included special episodes for a boss and a babe, my school president and never let me go (amongst others as well). However our skyy 2 was announced in the GMMTV 2023 lineup event, which happened in november 2022, and a boss and a babe was also announced at this same event. so basically abaab got included in os2 even before the series had been filmed/aired 😅 also my school president and never let me go both started airing in december 2022, so they were announced to be in os2 even before they aired + without any audience feedback, which i find rlly interesting.

overall, speaking for our skyy 2 because i haven't seen os1, i think the series they include are decided on either how popular the shows were (bad buddy, atots, the eclipse), how popular the pairing is (never let me go), or the pairings that gmmtv is investing in and trying to make popular (forcebook was considerably less popular at that point, and geminifourth weren't even known then lol).

our skyy 3 thoughts:

i definitely think we're gonna get another our skyy soon, especially with how many bls/gls we've gotten in the past 2 years (i'd guess that they'll also include gls this time around). I think we'll get our skyy 3 in gmmtv 2026, with special episodes for a bunch of the recent qls so that the branded cps have work together next year, without having to continuously churn out full-length bls for every single pairing (and because a lot of gmmtv2025's lineup won't come out until 2026 anyway lol). i'm also guessing that we'll get more het/gen shows in next year's lineup.

in terms of a high school frenemy special ep in our skyy (because i think that's where this question came from ahaha), realistically speaking, i think it's extremely unlikely they'll be included, purely for the fact that it isn't actually a bl (of course there's the off-chance that they make it a bl in the special ep, but lbr that's extremely wishful thinking lol). if they do include it, the queerbaiting allegations are gonna go crazyyy again (🙄), but i can also see some fans taking the announcement as confirmation that they'll make saintshin canon, and that would just lead to disappointment all around. Only way i can see hsf being included is if peaceful property is as well.

(that being said, logic won't stop me from being delulu and manifesting for that hsf os3 ep 😌😌)

Thoughts on Jack's dream(MASSIVE main story spoilers ahead)

JACKS DREAM got me by the thROAT bc the more I analyze it the more angsty it feels and I alreadfy sobbed n cried and I must SCREAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMM He's dreaming of the magift tournament but basically if..... if Leona's plan never took place....... If Leona actually WERE the hero Jack has idolized...... 😭

First I gotta take note dosodkgkfdgjdfkghfdjk hOW JACK YEARNS FOR HIS SENPAI'S PRAISE AND AFFECTION 🥺🥺truly the epitome of loyal, puppy-like behavior..... It doesn't take much for him to be happy… He yearns for the respect and acknowledgement of those he admires. He craves respect and recognition, but not only that—he genuinely wants to see those he admires thrive.

Seems to me that what Jack longs for most is a sense of belonging within a pack. He’s not just devoted to those he holds in high regard; he also desires to be cared for in return (This becomes even more apparent when he asks Ruggie to act as a mentor or older-brother figure in his dorm uniform vignette.) Jack's actions reflect his innate wolf nature—a being built for connection, loyalty, and mutual protection. No matter how much he tells himself or others how he prefers to handle things on his own… We can clearly see that Jack is happier when he’s part of a team, fighting alongside companions who’ve got his back. It’s the dynamic balance of trust: to protect and be protected, to rely on others and let them rely on him in return. It deeply resonates with the essence of wolves.

After Ortho wakes Jack up (in oUTER SPACE DKJGDSDKFJGKJS that was so adventitious but so cool.....) and Jack falls down like a meteorite (ALSO SUPER COOL BUT WTF.....) Fake!Leona and Fake!Ruggie rush to his side, Leona softly reassures him, saying it’s a relief he’s uninjured and advising him not to be so reckless while Ruggie says ''You're a promising rookie. Our treasure.'' (I started crying here.)

Jack breaks into a bitter, despairing laugh as the truth crashes down on him. The sincerity and warmth his “upperclassmen” showed in that moment? It wasn’t real. It never actually happened. Jack recounts his excitement when he first joined Savanaclaw, eager to fight alongside the dormmates he admired so much. He talks about how he had watched Leona’s play three years ago—over and over again, captivated by it. He reveals the painful truth of discovering their wicked plan, the frustration of being unable to snap them out of it, and the overwhelming helplessness that consumed him.

I gotta say, I'm SO HAPPY that Jack's feelings on the events of book 2 were finally properly addressed now (cause let's be real, book 2 uhh... did kinda a shitty job at this 💀 Neither the narrative nor the fandom really took the time to explore the emotional impact it had on him, which is such a disservice to his character.)

Think about it from Jack’s perspective. He was obsessed with Leona's play 3 years ago, watching it over and over again. In his eyes, Leona was a hero, someone worth idolizing to the point of projecting an idealized image of him: an earnest, hardworking, honorable leader. When Jack finally had the chance to join Savanaclaw and be part of the dorm he had admired so deeply, what was his reality? Ostracization, bullying and even physical violence from some of his dorm mates (as shown in Leona's dorm uniform vignette) And worst of all? Jack was met with his idol’s true, treacherous side—dirty tactics, underhanded schemes, and a willingness to harm others to achieve his goals. When Jack tried to confront them about it, he wasn’t met with understanding or respect. Instead, he was called a “filthy traitor” and a “spoiled brat”—by the very person he admired most. It’s a complete dismantling of everything Jack believed in, everything he worked for.

It's a shame the game and manga did not give enough weight to Jack’s feelings, (the novel seems to do a better job at it though) but now it’s clear just how much this hurt him. It wasn’t just a setback; it was a deep, personal betrayal that shook him to his core.

He’s only a first-year. Beneath his gruff demeanor and physical strength, Jack is still a boy—pure-hearted, earnest, and full of hope. All he wanted was to stand beside those he respected most but what he got instead was disappointment, betrayal, and rejection. To idolize someone so deeply, only to have that image crushed in the most personal, gut-wrenching way........ Savanaclaw doesn't deserve him 💔

I know some are gonna say the whole bad parents shtick with ML characters is getting kinda stale (and I do agree a bit) but I honestly think Ivan and Nathaniel have had the best takes on it BECAUSE of the specifics of their situations (Ivan feeling pressure from his criminal father, Nathaniel being shunned by his parents for doing what he loves/totally not a homophobic parent allegory wink wink) and how they’re shown to persevere in comparison to characters like Adrien and Kagami that makes them so much more compelling

I mean, at least they're actually acknowledging that yeah. These parents are Wrong. Quite the step up from the past, honestly. And as you stated, the kids are Fighting Back, which I am SO glad they're finally allowed to do in this show.

Unfortunately a running sentence that I've had when discussing the episodes in Season 6 with my friends is "This is great! Um, feels kinda late." I think I'd care about this stuff more or at least not give it massive side eye or even compare it negatively if it just came sooner.

I'll give the show it's flowers, Ivan's plot in "El Toro De Piedra" was very interesting and compelling and I loved what they did with it.

(I wish it didn't have to be bogged down with Agreste Drama, but the comparisons were too obvious to not constantly flop back to it. Though I guess that's what the problem is, right? I would've cared about THIS Agreste Drama if 5 Seasons hadn't already broken me into just going numb when it's on screen.)

Same with Nathaniel, he finALLY got a GOOD EPISODE and it was genuinely so sweet and so...good? Like wtf it had no business being so good?

I felt a kinda like the Live Slug Reaction Meme though because unfortunately Marc/Nathaniel's origin story from "Reverser" is burned into my fucking skull, so it was lowkey TAINTED. A bitch never forgives or forgets, Nathaniel.

"WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?! Are you actually serious?" You asked your boyfriend in genuine shock, followed by a laugh from the man dressed in head to toe in Ferrari merch. The red and yellow colors clashed hilariously with the sleek, orange McLaren paddock pass hanging around his neck.

"What? I thought I'd support the winning team." He shrugged, a cheeky grin spreading across his face. You and Harry got invited by the Mclaren F1 team to watch the Silverstone Grand Prix from the paddock. As a Formula 1 fan youself, you were excited to see the cars upclose. To watch the mechanics to the pitstops, engineers do their things (idk what they do lmao) and to watch Max Verstappen overlap the whole grid like seven times. Even since you were a little kid you were amazed by those cars driving freakishly quickly. Now, several years later you get to experience it right infront of your eyes.

"Look, there's Lando!" Harry pointed out, spotting your friend talking to a group of mechanics. You approached Lando, who broke into a wide grin as he saw you. "Hey! There are my favorite YouTubers!"

You beamed. "Lando! It's so good to see you. How's it going?"

"It's been wild but amazing," Lando replied, glancing at Harry. "And I see you've managed to get Harry in the right gear this time."

Harry laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, I had a little help with that."

Lando gave you two a playful nudge. "So, who are you rooting for today? Besides me, of course."

You laughed. "Well, McLaren, obviously. But I'm also excited to see how the Brits perform. It's going to be an interesting race."

"That's the spirit," Lando said, his eyes twinkling with excitement. "Alright, I better get back to my team, but I'll see you guys later? Enjoy the race!"

You and Harry found a spot in the back of Landos garage, it had a view on the screens but also the pit-stop. The whole race went by fast. The moment the lights went out Lando tried his hardest with a deserved P2 at his home race.

SHO BRINGING US LUNCH right off the bat we are truly blessed to see him right away. where's that bingo sheet someone made cross off vagastrom cameo. sho is such a sweetheart ugh. interesting that he encourages us not to talk too much in front of the teachers.

hodge and podge have animations now!! good for them!! however that was completely overshadowed by this lil tidbit

only three months??? thats WAY less time than i thought we had. is the game moving in real time then? or are we going to get back to the loop that much sooner? also i love that the dialogue mentions different things and events that happen off screen. maybe we'll see them in the time loop. shoutout for the warding card though love that

dude wait wtf is the winchester mansion doing here hahaha this is so funny. actually no the US branch being incompetent is funny too i like this.

history moment - for those who don't know, the winchester mansion is a real place in california. this mansion was built by sarah winchester and construction continued on the house all the way up until she died. popular myth says she was compelled by spirits to continue working on the house forever. she was plagued with crazy bad luck (family members dying, random tragedies) and another popular myth states that she was cursed because her family created the winchester rifle, and her bad karma was to repay for all the deaths the rifles caused. if you're in cali, highly recommend a visit, this place is huge and SO insane, there's hundreds of rooms. love what they did with this location in the story. might do a whole post on this mansion here later.
