         maybe if she could catch her breath, she could snap and tell him if she could just breathe, doesn’t he think she would be? which would be mean, but panic is seizing in the slight brunette’s chest as she curls on the floor, fingers flexing and releasing in slow, unsteady motions. she can’t breathe, not right, and it’s making her vision threaten to go black around the edges. 

          but he’s so calm and collected and that helps. fingers dig into her own hair. pulling hard, but trying to use that to focus herself. her knees drawn up to her chest, swallowing hard as she does. 

         “you’re good at that,” it’s mumbled with a sigh as she tries to untuck herself from the ball she’s curled herself into. it doesn’t work, but she manages to look up at him slowly. “keeping calm. helping me get calm. sort of.” her hands are still shaking where she grips her knees in front of her. she swallows again, hard as she does. “do y’have any water? i could use some water.”
