https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBkCq3pg_7Y&t=12834s&ab_channel=GeorgeNotFoundVODS first red hoodie stream!!!
Aight here goes, I’m watching it for the first time now and taking notes as I go ! 🗣
I sort of skimmed to the point where Dream joins, and listen- it’s just rly funny to me how George was mining and stuff, then as soon as someone mentions Quackity and George says Q is a catboy, Dream joins a minute later 😭 I think this is that era when jealous Dream was v loud so this is a funny instance imo lmaoo
Anyways it’s cute how much George says Dream’s name when he adds him to the call, and how his energy immediately goes up :’) also I just love it when Dream suddenly joins on stuff cause his voice is just so comforting, idk.
I love the way they talk to each other there’s always this flirty undertone
They’re playing music on the Christmas tree I think I’ve seen a clip of this before it’s so sweet 😭 I never knew this was from The red hoodie stream 🗣
I just keep thinking abt how happy and giggly George is now when Dream is around :’) they both just sound so happy<3
George showed Dream his backside ⁉️😳😳 not clickbait🗣
It’s also cute how Dream is always watching his stream whilst also talking to him, he probably was watching before even joining :’)
Wait I- I just started Cry laughing at this omg- hold on- HHHHHHHHHHHH
OKAY LISTEN- ANYONE KNOW THAT SCREAM/CRY LAUGH JENNA MARBLES DOES? THAT’S WHAT IM DOING AT THIS MOMENT I-
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Okay, okay, I’m gonna gather thoughts-
LOOK AT HIM
This is FLERTING
This is such flirting behavior and he’s fishing for compliments from Dream so hard 😭 here’s the thing like right before this he already turned around to show his back and now he did it Again like- he’s doing it on purpose 😭 and when he buried his face in the hoodie like that he’s tryna be so cute and flirty this is taking me OOUUUTTTTT
Like the moment he did that pulling his hoodie up thing i laughed So hard like what is he DOINGGG
Anyways I had to pause for a moment and gather myself- the absolute blatant flirting here-
This moment is just taking me out fr 💀
Anyways we’re about six minutes into Dream joining I Fear for how much more there’s left 😀
GEORGE JUST READ OUT SOMEONE SAYING HE’S THROWING IT BACK AND HES DEFENDING HIMSELF SAYING HES JUST ‘SHOWING HIS BACK’ IM ON THE FLOOR
He knows what he’s doing 🗣
They’re so sweet tho like they keep having this light flirty behavior and George does that thing he does w Dream where he asks what he should do and what stuff means and what he thinks and that.
This makes me rly miss solo dnf streams I love the vibes rn it’s filling me with serotonin I haven’t felt in a While✨
George punching Dream with a trident and Dream just standing there and saying it does no damage to him is Hot Dream behavior
I just keep wanna quote them they keep saying things that I’d put in a fanfic 😭
I wish I could post more clips than one here 😔
George just said they can “chess and chill” so I will be Leaving now 🧍♀️
Anyways we’ve entered pulling pigtails behavior full force now with Dream laughing in that warm/fond way whilst punching George’s character whilst George is beaming whilst saying “stop killing me 😍 get away from me👀🥰 you’re chasing me🥰 omg Dream Dream stop🥰😍”
Dream Really doesn’t wanna play che-
WAIT
NO
NO WAIT I JUST-
OH NO I JUST REALIZED
Okay so Lately we’ve all Realized how George is all 😍😍😍 sick in the head type behavior when Dream shouts and stuff,,
And there’s this moment here where Dream shouts at him that he doesn’t wanna play chess as George brings it up Again, even after Dream already got frustrated enough with him that he began chasing him around when George kept bringing it up before. And now when Dream lashes out at him George is still Beaming and doing these lil giggles like I-
He’s doing that on purpose he’s pushing Dream’s buttons on purpose cause he likes when Dream gets ‘angry’ and chases him around and- Sick in the head 🧍♀️
WAIT THIS IS THE STREAM THEY PLAY THAT GAMBLING THING ? Omg so Much happened in this stream I never knew it was all in the same one 😳
Oh no.
“Oh now I have you right where I want you😈”
“Stop😍”
Istg I don’t even wanna write this next one plz I beg
“What are you gonna do here in this little hole? 😈”
*immediately backtracks AS HE SHOULD*
“I’m just kidding gu-😂 I’m just Kidding George🥰”
I legit- until seeing this now, I’ve Seen a clip of this moment before and I didn’t think it was real. I thought someone had like edited together Dream’s voice or Something like this, it’s So Weird like ‘now I have you right where I want you’ once they’re trapped in this narrow tunnel together- SUS
And George going kinda quiet here whilst Dream is laughing in a flustered way hmmmm I’m Looking
Dream saying George can take however much red stone he wants/needs from him, sugar daddy Dream Yess🤩😍
Ohwwwwww Dream’s laugh when they’re doing the gambling thing 💞💞💞💞💞
Look at his smile when Dream laughs, you wouldn’t think George also just lost a bet huh 😭
In general he basically hasn’t stopped smiling since Dream joined 😪
The whole bit where they’re guessing shield everytime is just so cute and funny lmaoo and then after Dream says in the fondest tone ever ‘🥰you’re so stupid🥰’
^Dream is yelling again 😍😍
This gambling thing shows that the universe Does have favorites and that favorite is Georgenotfound🗣
Some of my favorite dnf things™️ is when any of them says in that voice “you’re so dumb” “you’re such an idiot” and “you’re so annoying” and there’s a lot of that in this stream, esp from Dream 🗣
Dono: “what do you love most abt Dream?”
George: “his items that he gives me 😌🥰”
Dream: “you are such a gold digger”
He’s not wrong tho 🗣 but this is also not the only time we’ve heard Dream refer to George as a gold digger when George shows his love for Dream giving him stuff and money, and I think it’s interesting choice of words on Dream’s part. If a friend is using me for money, I’d never think of calling them a gold digger lmaoo, like maybe manipulative or money hungry, but gold digger,,, it’s a saying that literally entails there to be a relationship like an engagement or marriage and such between the gold digger and the wealthy person. Like not a platonic bond type thing. So I just find Dream’s choice of words interesting. Perhaps speaks to how he views their relationship.
Why did George just read out someone in chat saying “why you letting Dream walk around with that Fat cake bro? Like control him” 😭😭😭😭😭 cue Dream putting his glass water bottle down Loudly in Shock LMAOO
George’s response was *giggle giggle* “I can’t stop him🥰😌” LMAOOO we know he’s an ass man so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised he’s bringing attention to this
Now they’re telling a bunch of funny stories and the vibes are so 🥰🥰🥰 I miss these types of streams - just them alone on the smp jumping around and talking about random stuff 😩
I also just love how Dream tells these stories, he’s so excited, sounds so happy and talks so fast and you can just tell how much he loves his friends<3 :’)
Dream telling a story of a memory of one of this top ten moments in his life which was when he won with George against bad and callahan<3
Idk something abt that^ is really sweet cause like this man is out here hitting milestone after milestone in record time and is accomplishing So much, but one of his top ten favorite moments in life is when he played a game of Minecraft basketball teamed up with George playing against two other friends. Just spending time with his friends and having fun<3
Now he’s talking abt how much he loves that memory and especially that it was him and George together as a team and how they trash talked the others together and he’s speaking for both of them and says ‘that might be one of Our funniest moments’ to which George says ‘top ten dr- George and Dream memes’ he Almost said their names the right order😪
It’s cute tho they’re just reminiscing on stuff now :’)
Now they’re talking about Biggest Weaknesses (I rly love this aspect of their friendship when they just deep talk like that’s a real bond right there) and Dream said George’s is he doesn’t care enough
But Dream is also saying George is Easily top ten mcc player and George is soaking up the compliments lmaoo😌
Dream: “What would you say my weakness is?”
George: “Me😌”
Dream: “You? You’re such an idiot🥰”
Aight we’ve reached This bit
George got all flustered after saying that aww<3
But this moment it’s just so,,, it felt almost like it came out of nowhere in a way like, woah there George we were all having a good chill time and having deep convos and now you just straight up Flirting🧍♀️ and it also felt like he was almost preparing himself to say that one in a way ?? Idk how to describe that but it’s like, he’s silent for a beat after Dream asks him the question. Then throws that out there in a v interesting tone. Then immediately does this flustered kind of laugh
But yeah overall this moment kinda speaks for itself doesn’t it lmaoo This Is Deffo Flerting🧍♀️
It’s rly sweet tho how Dream says George’s weakness is he doesn’t care enough, whilst George says Dream’s weakness is he cares Too much. They balance each other out<3 :’) and I genuinely think in general it’s good as they can learn a lot from one another !
George thinks Dream’s weakness is when Dream gets too caught up in stuff and doesn’t spend enough time w him 😔
George: “this is like the first episode of the Dream and George podcast 🥰”
Dream: “I think we’re shooting to get like a pilot episode of the podcast out in January.”
Moving on😐
George: “you could have a Patches cam. It’s just you stroking Patches the whole time🥰😄”
Dream: “what😳😅 ..... you could’ve said, petting, like😬”
George: “... ?? It’s the same 🤨”
Dream: “I mean..”
George: “what’s the difference? 🤨”
Dream: “one’s weird and one’s not 😐”
George: “no? 🤨”
Sigh.
Dream, clean your thoughts and that dirty mind My God😭 it’s so weird they were like vibing and talking normal and then as soon as George says the word ‘stroking’ there’s this tension and weird silence between their words like,,,
Aight we’re going back to talking abt memories and ‘top ten memes’, good. Let’s Move On.
It’s funny to think abt tho, like rn they’re trying to think of more funny stories of things that happens offline, and there’s just such a contrast of their stories here vs the ones they’d do now. Like here they’re like ‘woah hahah when we trash talked these ppl and played this game and this person got mad because of this thing🤪’ whilst now it’s all like ‘I’m gonna expose you😏 guys here look at what I s*xted George whilst he was doing this thing and also look at what George sent me when we were just talking and also I wanna eat his *** and here’s a funny story abt George being clingy as we spent ten+ hours just talking and-‘
All I’m saying is, The Difference lmaooo
George is bringing up the thing Ponk has said abt him being blacked out drunk before, and he says it’s ‘impossible’ cause he’s never even been drunk before apparently, and Dream is there like ‘yeah 😌’ like idk it’s cute how Dream seems happy to have George also not be a drinker and how they share that. But I sometimes wonder if George doesn’t drink and is all like ‘I’ve never in my life been drunk’ because of Dream,,, 🤔 like yk when someone copies their crush and all that ahem
Anyways Bad just joined !
George just tried being funny and failed Miserably and Dream still went ‘hah😄🥰’
Bad is trying to tell a story and dnf are just not having it they’re being all like 🙄🙄 ‘okay Bad wrap it up Bad we’re bored Bad😴🙄’ lmaoo they’re not happy to be interrupted from being in their own little world
But, moving on, Dream suddenly asks George if he has a scar ?? Lmao why was he thinking abt that suddenly ??
And George shows that he has one by his brow. (Is that the one Dream got obsessed w later as well or ??) Then George keeps teasing this story of how he got it and Dream wants to hear it. Bad then starts telling a story instead, and Dream goes “why are You telling a story, Bad? :/“ like if it’s not George telling a story he doesn’t wanna hear it lmaoo
This is George as Bad is telling his story:
This is George a few minutes later as Dream is telling a story instead:
Also Dream is talking about him being on his BadBoy Arc and speeding, ig George Would like that 🧍♀️
I Will shut up abt George being sick in the head but he’s currently Beaming as Dream is talking back at Bad after Bad said he’s never gotten a speeding ticket himself lmaoo Dream took that as a personal attack
Now Dream is doing that thing couples do where he’s like “oh yeah, We should tell a scary story. You wanna tell that one story that happened to you, George? I don’t think you’ve told that one. No you definitely haven’t.” I wonder if Dream at this point remembers George’s stories and memories better than his own lmao.
George didn’t wanna tell the story 😔
George read out a slightly suggestive dono abt Dream dying to a nut,, he then says “I mean..😏” and does this eyebrow raise, then proceeds to draw a breath and wet his lips I’m L e a v i n g🧍♀️🗣
And following right after, here we have an example of how George is Bad at flirting. Like he’s got the spirit aight but, My God,
Dream: “I’m not allergic to anything.”
George: “that’s not true.”
Dream: “how?”
George: “you told me you were allergic to something.”
Dream: “no I didn’t.”
George: “you did.”
Dream: “tell me what.”
George: “you’re allergic to uhm.. me.😏”
Dream: “so dumb, I knew you were gonna say that😏🥰”
George: “everytime you get near me you just get all red😏”
It’s silent for a beat, then Bad starts rambling and George pushes/leans back in his chair and does that same flustered semi laugh that he did when he said Dream’s weakness is him. He like has this particular type of flustered reaction after he’s said something flirty to Dream lmaoo
Anyways I feel it’s good to sometimes just, write down some actual quotes they say to each other and just reflect over how much they sound like a fanfic lmaoo
Like this is just straight up flirting and what has gotten into the man🧍♀️
Aight here George does one of his bad flirting attempts again. There’s a lot of those in this stream ! And once again, at least he’s got the spirit !!
Dream is talking abt how he doesn’t have a car cause he has no reason to leave his house, saying,
“Where do you think I go? 🤨” to chat, who thinks he should have a car
George then says: “you go to the.. George.. shrine😌”
Dream’s response is just: “...what?🧍” which is very understandable lmao
Wait what-
Dono: “you’re adorable George no wonder Dream is a simp for you”
George: “Dream is a simp for me😌”
Dream: “yeah.”
..... Oh. Okay. Okay he’s Admitting to it now, aight, that’s.
Well I’m just- like- all I’m thinking abt is when I watched their first stream on the smp and Dream got so offended when someone said he was a simp for George, he went and killed him immediately in game.
This is growth ppl🗣🗣
Also George’s face when Dream admits to it is very much ‘😳🥰’
It’s then just like Silent, and it’s clearly too tense to handle as Quackity suddenly speaks up to change topics lmaoo
It’s actually surprising Quackity isn’t clowning any of them for what just happened. But then also this is when he was p new to them, so I don’t think he’d grown quite as tired of them yet to call them out on their bs lmaoo
I hate how I can’t add more clips here like there’s this bit now where they have this pulling pigtails flirty behavior again and George has the biggest smile on his face and this specific tone in his voice as he says,
“You are.. an idiot Dream🥰”
He’s also currently saying ‘Dream’ with every sentence lmao the name truthing<3
George just said like one word and Dream Immediately understood not only that he was referring to a story, but also exactly which story he was thinking abt, like they’re actually interlinked, telepathic, share One mind 🧍♀️
Then there’s this moment I saw way back posted here on tumblr, where Dream is like just jumping in place, facing a wall. And George is just looking at him super fondly and says,
“What’re you doing, Dream?🥰”
Just sounding so. Fond.🧍♀️watching this man just.. jumping, lmaoo
I think George’s name truthing is very evident in this stream, like with every sentence he says Dream’s name, ‘Dream’ has like a different tone than the rest of the sentence, way softer, a fondness to it.
This is me brainrotting but George reads out a dono saying “Dream, hello I love you” and Dream says “I love you too🥰” and here we have dnf finally sharing ily’s, what a Moment🗣
But like actually it’s interesting Dream wanted to answer back to that one cause he normally doesn’t really reply when George forwards messages from donos to him... 👀 I feel like he got eager to say it back to George
There’s a whole lot of Quackity and Bad not wanting to give back George’s stuff and George being tired It’s lowkey annoying when they kill him and steal his stuff over and over like this 🥴
A dono says something abt ‘sexy Dream’ and George asks Dream what that is, to which Dream says “that’s just normal Dream 😌” and George like smiles and tips his head forward like hiding his face- hard to explain his reaction, I need an emoji that’s an inbetween of this😳 and 🥰 and that’s about as close as I can get to describing his reaction to that lmaoo , like a flustered smile
Sad hours George just said ‘I’m done with you guys’ because he’s done w them never giving his stuff back 💔 understandable ! 🗣
Ahh justice at last, he got his stuff back 🗣
Dream left💔
Aight I’m just gonna go ahead and say it, it’s interesting how, when Dream chases after George and kills him and stuff George is all like ‘omg Dream hahah noo Dream 🥰 don’t 🥰 you’re chasing me omg🥰’ whilst when anyone else does it he’s all like ‘ughh 😩😴 give me my stuff back I’m tired😩 I’m Done w u guys🙄 this isn’t fun😕’
Like it seems a Lot of ppl like to pull his pigtails but the way he responds to Dream doing it vs others is,, interesting 👀
Dream came back ! 🗣
George is FINALLY telling the goddamn scar story 🗣😩 I feel abt as tired and clocked out as George is at this point lmaooo
Anyways this story is cute mini George being excited abt the computer repair guy aww 🥺 I’m glad it’s not a bad memory for him even tho he got injured🥺
Anyways we’ve reached the end of the stream and it’s been lovely<3 I’m glad I finally got to watch this iconic stream🗣 the vibes were immaculate and I miss dnf I want more of these streams 🗣
Also Dream started talking more now as George is ending, and George’s energy peaked back up again now when Dream is talking 👀
He waves goodbye one last time, and so the stream is over 😩
Final thoughts: So. Much. Flirting.
#finally posting this 🗣 it took me a while to go through but here it is ! ✨#this is commentary on a 4+ hours stream I tried keeping it as short as I could 🥴#but it was a lot of fun and I had Many thoughts 🗣#what a stream 🧍♀️#I had to hold myself back from just going on a rant on certain moments to keep this as short as I could lmaoo#there’s a Lot to unpack in this one#and guess what#next up I’m doing the cooking stream#and I’m#so not ready🧍♀️#am actually like -#gah the Tension in that one is gonna take me out like pray for me 😭#anyways this has been fun I love doing these lmaoo#mik’s commentary#ig should be the tag for these maybe#my analysis#dnf observer answers ask#dnf observer has thoughts#dreamnotfound#I’m posting a lot today look at me Gooo

A NEW ERASERMIC AU I'LL NEVER WRITE!
Imagine Aizawa works at Buzzfeed, and gets the idea to write an article about how Twitch streaming is stupid and pointless (because he’s a video game snob.) He chooses Present Mic’s channel to watch at random, because he’s super popular, but Aizawa immediately goes from undercover reporter to absolute fan. No middle ground. Just “huh, okay i was wrong” and subscribes.
He tunes in to all the live streams, because Mic is very funny and also very good at video games, and it’s cool to watch him play. He has skills, his commentary is A+, and Aizawa develops a little crush. But it’s not a big deal!! Mic is a celeb, Aizawa knows they’ll never meet, it’s harmless.
Sometimes the chat for the stream gets assholes in it, as you’d expect. Mic can’t monitor the chat too much, but Aizawa has no problems telling jerks where to stick it. And once, after a particularly egregious incident where some moron said something crude about women in gaming and Aizawa ripped him a new asshole, Mic sends him a personal message thanking him and asking him if he wants to be a mod, which of course, he does. He doesn’t know how to reply - this is his big chance to talk to Mic!! So of course he just says “sure” - no further conversation.
Aizawa has, of course, zero personal details on his Twitch account. No info, no icon, his screen name is a random string of numbers, he’s a ghost. The Ron Swanson of video game enthusiasts.
So Aizawa is working at Buzzfeed, living his best life writing articles like “10 Video Game Themed Products You Can’t Live Without” because journalism is in shambles and he drinks to forget, and one day his editor is like “hey, we’re gonna do a feature on Twitch streamers. Everybody is gonna go sit and watch a stream in person and get the behind the scenes info. Here’s a list of people who agreed.” And PRESENT MIC IS ON THE LIST
One of his colleagues reaches for Mic’s info sheet, rolling his eyes and sighing. “I can’t believe these are considered celebrities. Have you ever heard of any of them?”
Aizawa practically slaps the paper out of his hand. “Present Mic is a consummate professional and his content is high-quality and entertaining. I wouldn’t expect you to understand it since it involves technology more current than a compact disc.”
The room goes silent. Nobody’s heard Aizawa say anything nice about... maybe anything? Ever? But his editor, Kayama, pounces immediately. “WELL if you like him so much, Aizawa, that can be your interview!!”
Aizawa panics. On the one hand, he wasn’t going to let anyone else take that assignment. But on the other hand, now he’s going to meet Mic IN PERSON. During a LIVE STREAM. Is he supposed to tell him he’s a fan? Is that tacky? Will his crush be obvious? What if Mic sucks in person?? This is a double edged sword.
He only gets more nervous on the day of the interview. He’s tempted to dress up a little, look his best. Mic is a good-looking guy after all, and he’s always well put together when he streams. And even though Aizawa knows, knows he really doesn’t have a chance, he still doesn’t want to embarrass himself.
BUT he also doesn’t want to look like he’s trying too hard. That’s not who he is, and dressing up would be admitting to himself that he DOES want something more than a simple interview, even if it’s as little as Mic’s good opinion or positive attention.
He debates too long. While he’s still thinking about it, the alarm on his phone goes off, alerting him that it’s time to leave. He’s still in his pink sweatpants and he hasn’t shaved, and he realizes, just at that moment, that he probably should have tried harder at least for the sake of professionalism. But it’s too late. He has to go.
Mic actually doesn’t live all that far away. Just a short train ride, less than 20 minutes, and Aizawa is standing in front of his nondescript apartment. It’s a little odd - Mic is a very popular streamer, theoretically with income to match, and his style seems flashy. Aizawa had expected something a little more over the top. But this place is simple. Storing that information away for later, he knocks.
“COMING!!” He hears from inside the apartment, followed by the thud of footsteps. Aizawa just has one moment to brace himself because this is it before the door opens and there he is. Present Mic himself, all smiles. “Come in, come in!! You’re from buzzfeed right? Wow, this is so exciting!!” Mic ushers him in the door, taking his jacket and hustling him into a tidy living room before Aizawa can even respond. And of course, when he finally gets himself together enough to say something, the first words out of his mouth are “You’re... tall.”
He wants to smack himself. Yes, Mic is taller than Aizawa had realized from the stream, even a little taller than Aizawa himself. But those are thinking words, not speaking words. Certainly not the first words you use to introduce yourself to your celebrity crush. But Aizawa, a champion moment-ruiner, has made his bed, and now he must cry in it.
But Mic just laughs. “Yeah,” he says, bringing a hand to the back of his neck. “I get that a lot. Sorry?”
“Don’t apologize,” Aizawa says immediately, then wonders if he is, in fact, under some sort of curse. “Shouta Aizawa,” he introduces himself.
“Hizashi Yamada, also known as Present Mic!” Yamada’s smile is friendly, like Aizawa hasn’t made an absolute fool of himself so far, and Aizawa has to look away from it. He glances around the room, which is tidy and clean, but cluttered with various objects that seem to have no connection to each other. There are books in a variety of languages, musical instruments, shelves of CDs, and an assortment of other things that have nothing to do with video games.
“Quite a collection you have,” Aizawa says, because it is, and because he’s curious.
“Yeah! I have too many hobbies but what can you do? Come on, I’m sure you’d rather see my workspace.” It’s not true, Aizawa has seen the office where Yamada streams before, and he’d much rather stay here and poke around, build up his mental picture about who Yamada is outside his Present Mic persona. But he’s not here for that. This is business.
But the streaming room is also not what Aizawa expects. Some things are familiar - the area visible to the camera is the same, set up and ready for tonight’s stream, but the rest of the room, the part that isn’t on screen, is PACKED. There’s a wobbly desk in the corner, covered in neatly stacked papers and binders labeled by month and year. The wall over the desk is a massive whiteboard filled with notes and ideas for upcoming streams. And there, in the lower right corner of the whiteboard, right where it would be even with Hizashi’s eyes as he sits at his desk, is a familiar string of numbers - his own Twitch username. And next to it is a little note - don’t forget. Good dude.
Aizawa sees his username and just - freezes. It hadn’t occurred to him that Mic thought of him at all outside of that one occasion he DM’d him, let alone that he considered Aizawa important enough not to forget. And the idea that Mic thinks he’s a “good dude” makes his face BURN in pleased embarrassment. He wants to say something but what? Is it weird? It’s weird, it’s too weird, and before he can think of how to do it, Mic is talking again.
“Okay, this is where the magic happens!! Actually, it’s more like weeks of frustration and repetition followed by 3-4 hours of intensely stressful streaming, but hey! People seem to like it!!” Aizawa wants to say something here - Mic is being a little too self-deprecating for his taste, but he stops himself. He can’t defend Mic’s honor to Mic himself - can he? The moment passes while he debates.
“I wasn’t sure if you’d want to be on camera or not?” Mic says, tentatively.
“I’d rather not, if it’s all the same to you,” says Aizawa. “I’m more the behind the scenes type.”
“Totally, no problem!” Mic says, gesturing to his desk. “You can sit there, if that’s okay? The only other seat is by me.”
Aizawa looks at the chair, then back to the small couch where Mic will be streaming from. “I think I’ll have to be closer to get photos for the article, if that’s all right.”
“You’ll be on camera,” Mic bites his lip. “I mean, maybe i could re-angle it, but then the screen-“
“It’s fine,” Aizawa says. “Journalism is about hardship.”
Mic snorts, and Aizawa can’t keep a little smirk off his face, proud that he got a laugh.
The stream goes smoothly - Aizawa likes it even more like this, without the chat to distract him, and close enough to notice things he’s never seen before. Mic’s feet twitch when he’s focusing hard, and his socks have cats on them. It’s adorable. Aizawa takes no notes - he doesn’t really need to, he’s seen enough streams to write this article in his sleep, and anyway, it’s not like he’s going to forget a minute of this.
Afterwards, once they’ve signed off, Mic talks him through his post show routine, everything from calculating how much he made and comparing it to previous weeks in a spreadsheet to going over the chat. “Huh,” Mic’s eyebrows crease as he looks at the chat logs. “Things got a little out of hand tonight.”
“Oh?” Aizawa says, shuffling uncomfortably. He suspects he knows why that is.
“Yeah, one of my regular mods wasn’t on tonight. I hope he’s all right - it’s not like him to miss.”
“You have a lot of viewers,” Aizawa says, tentative now. “Do you know them all so well?”
Mic shrugs, embarrassed. “No, i wish I did! But this guy’s special, he’s really funny and he keeps all the trolls in line. I’d DM him to see if he’s okay but that’s weird, right? That’s weird. And anyway I tried to talk to him once before but he shot me down.”
“I didn’t-“ Aizawa says before he can stop himself. The curse is real. Mic stares at him, open mouthed, confused at first but then his eyes widen as he realizes what must have happened. Before he can say anything, Aizawa cuts him off. “Sorry. That i couldn’t mod tonight.” He mumbles, hand buried in his hair. He can’t meet Mic’s eyes anymore. “I’ll be back next week.”
Mic opens his mouth to speak, but Aizawa interrupts again, before he can. “And I didn’t - I didn’t shoot you down. I just didn’t think you’d want to talk to me. Why would you?”
Mic blinks, and Aizawa isn’t sure what he’s going to say. Will he be mad? Aizawa kind of lied to him. Is he disappointed? Does Aizawa not look like he expected? Has he been too silent? Too unfriendly? Does Mic not want to get to know him anymore? But when Mic finally speaks, what comes out is
“I can’t believe you made me memorize that stupid fucking username, we’re picking you a new one right now.”

Subject: saturday night at Balfour
From: Natanya Sent: Tuesday, May 11, 2021 3:41 PM To: Natanya <[email protected]> Subject: saturday night at Balfour
Last night I walked on what we are hoping will be the last walk of Balfour. Yesterday was horrible with news coming in of violence everywhere as you can see in the item below.
The video, which was shot by photojournalist Oren Ziv, shows member of Knesset Itamar Ben-Gvir, joined by Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Arieh King, disparagingly yelling at a Palestinian who was apparently wounded by Israeli police, yet returned to protest against the evictions of Palestinian families.
Ben-Gvir is heard shouting, “Abu Hummus, how is your ass?”
“The bullet is still there, that’s why he is limping,” deputy mayor King, is also seen explaining to Ben-Gvir.
Then, King himself joins the shouting. “Did they take the bullet out of your ass? Did they take it out already? It is a pity it did not go in here,” King continues, referring to the bullet while pointing to his head.
Delighted with what they perceive to be a whimsical commentary on the wounding of the Palestinian, Ben-Gvir and King’s entourage of Jewish extremists laugh.
During the afternoon we heard of how the police had closed down the entrance to the city and the many buses carrying Arabs to the city to the prayers of Lailat al-Kedar ( Arabic : لیلة القدر Meaning in Hebrew : Night of Fate , Night of Exaltation, also known as Shab-i-Kedar[1]), Is the name of one of the last nights of the month of Ramadan , and according to Muslim tradition is the night on which the original version of the Qur'an was given , by the angel Jibril to the Prophet Muhammad . According to this belief, the night of al-Qadr is a night in which God influences an abundance of blessing on the believers, and on this night the gates of heaven are opened for their prayer and they hope that all their requests will be granted. This sounds almost like Yom Kippur and you can imagine how Jews would feel if we could not get to the synagogue on those days. Police said they stopped the buses because they had intelligence indicating some of the passengers were planning to riot on the Temple Mount. They said only “suspicious” passengers would be forced off, while others would be allowed to drive on. The blockages were eventually opened up after some three hours. One asks why if they knew of such passengers they did not stop the buses before they left and why only on a main road. Of course it was also a way that they could stop Balfour protestors from getting to the protest. The police could also have stopped them on the way up to Jerusalem. Many of the pilgrims got out of the buses and started walking up on foot to Jerusalem.

I always see these two dogs at the march. The face of the one looks just like I feel.
As a result when I went to the entrance of the city for the march to Balfour,we had just set out and were in the main road of the city. I was doing my best to keep up with the crowd, a small crowd, and then it is much harder for me to keep up. I felt my friend, Roni, from Haifa pulling me aside and heard a noise and saw a car a bit behind me. Roni pulled me on and then we heard a bang and saw a man getting out of the car in a very threatening way and people standing in front of the car to stop it moving. We went on but then I had lost the crowd and though I tried to catch up, I could not. There were people walking with me but when I saw that it was hopeless, I asked them to go on and that I would get to Balfour on my own but they were very obstinate and stayed with me until we got to Balfour. It was very hot though it was night and I arrived at Balfour with sweat pouring round me. I did not sit for long before I decided to get out of there. Now that there are less people there are less barricades in the streets so it is easier going back to get a taxi.
This one rather blurred picture I found by chance on facebook. People sometimes come up to me and tell me that they have often seen me on facebook but I normally miss the posts. The other one is of some women who refused to let me shake them off and insisted on walking with me until we got there. The thing is that people always tell me to rest if I need to and, if I were on my own I would do so. I know they would be patient if I wanted to rest but I don’t feel comfortable. I wonder how many weeks we will still go on doing this. But even if we get rid of the Netanyahu family I think as I have written before, we will have to fight against a government which ideologically as dangerous as they are in a different way

What Is Twitch? How Do Brands Use It?
For over a decade, I’ve been a dedicated fan, buying each new release and playing them over and over again. Eventually, my interest in the simulation game led me to find a community of others who feel the same way. So, I started watching YouTube videos of people playing the Sims. Most of the YouTubers promoted their Twitch accounts, where they would broadcast live play-throughs. I didn’t pay attention to Twitch at first, but eventually, curiosity got the best of me and I decided to check it out one day.
Warning: Twitch can get highly addicting. The first time I tried Twitch, I was on the platform for three hours, exploring the content of my favorite YouTubers and chatting with others, like in the screenshot below:
Source The streaming platform gave me a larger community to connect with because of the chat section in each broadcast, where users can comment on the content they’re seeing. The streamer can also interact with them, making the experience feel more natural. But, other than a streaming platform, what exactly is Twitch? In this post, we’ll explore what twitch is, and how you might use it to engage with prospects and increase brand awareness. Let’s begin by defining Twitch. Then, we’ll talk about how Twitch is used and what it’s used for.
What is Twitch?
Twitch is an online platform for live streams. Its users can either broadcast a live stream or watch other streamers. The streamers usually give gameplay commentary, while the viewers connect in a chat on the sidebar
When you visit Twitch, you’ll see a screen very similar to this:
The homepage is curated based on previous activity, so though this screen is covered with gaming content, streamers don’t have a limit on what they produce. While Twitch is largely a platform for live gameplay and commentary, talk shows, cooking shows, sporting events, and gaming conventions also pop up on the site. Twitch enables fans to connect with streamers. It allows users to watch content they’re interested in on a platform that supports long-form, live broadcasts. For instance, you might find that it’s not abnormal for streams to be over an hour, or sometimes even two hours. It’s not all streaming, though. In fact, the platform has its own convention, TwitchCon. This bi-annual event celebrates the streaming industry and is a chance for the platform’s broadcasters to connect with their fans and peers in person. Fans can attend sessions led by their favorite streamers and buy branded merchandise from a slew of vendors and event sponsors (For example, Doritos is a proud sponsor of TwitchCon). Though the streamers produce the content, Twitch has a dedicated fanbase that expands across the globe. To get an idea of Twitch’s users, next, we’ll go more into depth about Twitch’s primary audience. Who uses Twitch? Twitch’s audience is mainly comprised of teen gamers. Let’s look at that a little further. When SimilarWeb studied the web behavior of Twitch users, they found primary keywords this audience searched for were “games,” “computers,” and “technology”. From that information, we can infer that the majority of Twitch users are interested in games and the technology needed to play them. In the same report, it was also noted that 22% of traffic comes from the U.S., making it the country with the most representation on the platform, with Germany, Korea, and France not too far behind. It’s also important to note — according to Twitch, the platform has over 28 million unique users per month in the U.S., who watch, on average, 95 minutes per day. And, of those users, 80% are teen males. Though the audience has a large teen male presence, know that this isn’t the entire platform’s user base. In fact, my favorite Twitch streamers are adult women of color. So, if you’re thinking your audience isn’t on Twitch, they actually might be, just in a smaller number. Still, as marketers know, those numbers could be an essential part of your target audience. If, by now, you are mulling over a few ideas about how you can fit in Twitch into your marketing efforts, let’s talk about how brands are using Twitch, next. 6 Ways Brands Use Twitch Brands use Twitch to increase brand awareness, target specific audiences, produce branded streams, and leverage influencer marketing. Twitch reports that the platform is great for scaled engagement and reaching specific campaign goals. Because the site is powered by visual content, let’s explore some examples to back up these goals. 1. 1,000 Dreams Fund Tactic: Brand Awareness 1,000 Dreams Fund is a non-profit devoted to providing 1,000 university women with grants to help them achieve their dreams and provides new grants every academic semester. The people behind 1DF partnered with Twitch to bring the program to streamers. The Twitch spin on the fund gives financial assistance to streamers who are female and currently attending university, to help with school expenses. For example, Twitch might provide financial aid for conventions like TwitchCon, conferences, new hardware, or educational programs that are devoted to creative pursuits. For Women’s History Month, Twitch’s Facebook account ran an ad that supported the fund, bringing awareness to 1DF and what it does for women streamers.
This gave an entirely new audience an introduction to the non-profit. It also showed Twitch’s diverse user base, and highlighted a cause the company supports. 2. WildEarth Tactic: Target Specific Audiences WildEarth (WE) is a broadcaster that shows the day-to-day lives of animals, led by expert zoologists in Johannesburg, Australia. Recently, the site’s leaders decided to expand their broadcast onto Twitch in order to broaden their audience. The streams are short, which is unusual for Twitch, but makes sense for WildEarth. Content includes a sunrise safari led by expert Lauren, in which she focuses on animals she sees on her drive and provides information about them.
Source In the clip above, Lauren talked about how elephants are shy but friendly. Most clips on the channel are similar in that they show close-ups of animals making their homes or other animals roaming about. WE is aimed towards younger viewers, so it’s no surprise that broadcasts have expanded to Twitch and YouTube. Some clips even have kid-friendly titles with emojis and current slang to attract these younger viewers. 3. Nissin Noodles Tactic: Lead Generation Streamer Pokimane boasts over four million followers on her channel and plays mostly role-playing, fantasy games. Recently, she partnered with Nissin Foods to produce a branded League of Legends broadcast. The broadcast featured her making the instant noodles during a stream. To keep the content fun and engaging, Pokimane added a ‘Slurp Meter’ graphic on-screen that measures the volume of her eating her meal.
Source If I were a younger viewer watching this stream, I would think about how it would be easy to prepare and eat Nissin Noodles while using Twitch, as Pokimane did. I would want to use the ‘Slurp Meter’ to measure the noise-level of myself eating and report back to the community in the comments. Nissin’s branded stream has been seen by over 11,000 of Pokimane’s fans. This marketing technique cemented Nissin as a brand associated with her community, showing how their product fits into the gaming lifestyle. 4. PSD Underwear Tactic: Influencer Marketing Ninja is one of Twitch’s most-followed streamers. For perspective, 14.7 million is half of the platform’s U.S. user base. It’s also the number of followers Ninja has. To get those followers interested in their brand, and celebrate TwitchCon 2018, athletic underwear brand PSD gave the streamer a bus. No, really. A bus:
Hitting the road and heading to TwitchCon with our newly wrapped @ninja bus!
pic.twitter.com/AHKDI1ocVC — PSD Underwear (@PSDunderwear) October 25, 2018
PSD’s marketing campaign used TwitchCon to build brand awareness with its ‘Ninja Bus’ and corresponding Twitter post. This partnership is a change for PSD, which usually partners with basketball, football, or wrestling athletes. A video game athlete partnership could be part of a strategy to attract audiences on a different platform. It also shows the flexibility of the product. If I were a Ninja follower attending TwitchCon and saw the bus, plastered with Ninja’s branding, my very first instinct would be to Google PSD and browse the products. This advertisement speaks for itself, and no doubt earned some looks at TwitchCon. 5. Indeed Tactic: Paid Advertising In a similar practice to Facebook and YouTube, Twitch plays video ads before their streams, also known as pre-roll ads. This Indeed ad shows a case study about how a Twitch streamer and digital artist used Indeed to connect. The streamer was looking for a designer to make her streams more engaging and found her talent on Indeed, a career search engine.
Source The ad paints a picture of how gamers, streamers, developers, and creatives can use Indeed to find support for their work on Twitch. It shows how a streamer can leverage Twitch to find talent — and how talent can find work. 6. Wendy’s Tactic: Lead Generation Popular gaming series Animal Crossing has a new addition, New Horizons, that came out in March 2020. Marketers at Wendy’s knew Twitch would be flooded with Animal Crossing streams upon the release, so they decided to capitalize on that. The campaign is simple: a gameplay broadcast, following the Animal Crossing adventures of the store’s mascot Wendy. There are several clips and streams on the account, and most of the titles include “Free Delivery” to remind Twitch users that they don’t have to leave the site to eat Wendy’s.
Source Notice the extra steps the campaign takes for the branded stream. In the bottom left, there’s an advertisement for free delivery from Postmates and GrubHub. At the top is the title of the campaign, “Choppin’ Trees & Free Deliveries,” as well as the logos of participating brands. Should your brand leverage Twitch? You might be unsure about using Twitch in your next campaign, and trust me, you’re not the only one. However, as we’ve seen, multiple brands use Twitch to promote their brand by catering to a young audience. If your company has a similar goal, then Twitch might be a great asset to you. If you’re interested in influencer marketing, you might think about using Twitch, as well. Influencers expand your audience by endorsing your brand, as we saw with Pokimane’s noodle stream. Another benefit of leveraging Twitch is boosting leads with ads. Take haircare brand Head & Shoulders, for example. To market their new men’s styling creams, the creative team partnered with the platform to run a contest, in which Twitch users could win 100,000 Bits, which is the site’s virtual currency.
Source The target audience for this campaign is men, so the team behind the campaign knew they would have an audience on Twitch. This is also another great reason to use the platform: if your audience is mostly male. Recall that 80% of Twitch’s users are teen males, so if your product needs that kind of audience, look to Twitch. Alternatively, if your audience is using Twitch as part of their web behavior, you might look into investing in Twitch content. While you don’t have to create a Twitch account and start uploading numerous streams, you can go the Indeed route and use an ad that relates to Twitch’s users. For instance, maybe the company you work for sells computers. A great way to leverage Twitch in a product marketing campaign is by making an ad that shows a popular PC game on the platform right now, like League of Legends, and how it works with the computer you’re aiming to sell. Twitch is an expansive platform where creatives can engage with subjects that interest them. Remember, Twitch isn’t all about games — there are other categories on the platform too, like cooking and live event broadcasting. You can leverage Twitch in multiple ways and reach an expansive audience by doing so. As a casual Twitch user, I look forward to seeing what you come up with for your Twitch campaign.

Mind Restoration System Explores Hazy Territory between Being Lifeless or Alive
One of many two authorized definitions of loss of life is irreversible cessation of all mind perform, generally referred to as "brain death." (The opposite is the halting of circulatory and respiratory perform.) It was extensively believed that mind cells endure rapid--and irreversible--degeneration instantly after loss of life. However a placing new research, revealed Wednesday in Nature, means that a lot performance will be preserved or restored--even hours after loss of life. A analysis staff, primarily based primarily on the Yale Faculty of Medication, managed to revive some features in the entire brains of pigs slaughtered 4 hours beforehand and to maintain them for an additional six hours. The work was motivated by the commentary that cells will be harvested from postmortem brains and sustained in cell cultures for research, neuroscientist and staff chief Nenad Sestan mentioned in a press briefing: "In short, if we can do this in a petri dish, can we do it in an intact brain?" The system Sestan and his colleague developed, known as BrainEx, includes three components: a computerized system of pumps, filters and reservoirs; a blood substitute containing no cells however able to carrying oxygen, together with quite a few compounds designed to guard cells; and a surgical process to hook every part up. The researchers in contrast brains they sustained utilizing BrainEx with brains that have been perfused with an inert fluid or that weren't hooked as much as something to evaluate their relative states at totally different occasions. The system lowered cell loss of life, preserved anatomical integrity, and restored circulatory, metabolic and a few mobile features. The staff was even capable of observe inflammatory responses from immune cells, known as glia, by introducing a molecule that mimics bacterial an infection. The findings recommend that cells are way more resilient to the injury attributable to stopping blood stream, which deprives the mind of oxygen (referred to as ischemia), than beforehand appreciated. "We didn't have any a priori hypothesis that we'd be able to restore cells to this level," Sestan advised journalists. "We were really surprised." This work may symbolize a significant contribution to strategies obtainable for finding out the mind. The analysis was funded beneath the Nationwide Institutes of Well being's BRAIN (Mind Analysis via Advancing Revolutionary Neurotechnologies) Initiative, and NIH consultants additionally briefed the press. "This is a real breakthrough for brain research; it's a new tool that bridges the gap between basic neuroscience and clinical research," mentioned Andrea Beckel-Mitchener, a BRAIN Initiative staff chief on the Nationwide Institute of Psychological Well being. "It provides experimental access like we've never had before; we anticipate interesting studies on brain circulation, cell metabolism, other cell biology and mapping long-range connections." The fast findings have implications for the way we perceive mind loss of life. "It's drilled into us as scientists and doctors that after even just a couple of minutes, there's no going back; this clearly turns that on its head," says Madeline Lancaster, an skilled in analysis on mind organoids (so-called "mini brains" grown from stem cells--at the College of Cambridge, who was not concerned within the work. "Where I see the most potential in the short term is just changing thinking about that and hopefully spurring people to do more research into humans who are potentially brain dead--and understanding how we might be able to bring them back." Extending the time earlier than declaration of mind loss of life has different implications--it may delay when organs may change into obtainable for donations, as mentioned in a commentary article in Nature. One near-term profit is the chance to be taught extra about ischemic harm. "We hope to better understand how brain cells react to circulatory arrest and if we can intervene and salvage these cells," Sestan mentioned. "By doing this, we can possibly come up with better therapies for stroke and other disorders that cause brain cells to die." In the long run, the system may present a strong technique for finding out mind connectivity, circuit perform and illness processes. A specific amount can already be realized utilizing mind slices, mind organoids (so-called "mini-brains" grown from stem cells) and postmortem brains, however this method presents no less than two benefits: First, an intact mind presents an unparalleled alternative to review mind circuitry. "If the question is one where you really need the context of the whole organ, this definitely gives you an advantage," Lancaster says. "If we knew were functional to some degree, being able to look at a fully intact circuit would be very powerful." Second, postmortem research restrict observations to discrete cut-off dates, which curbs understanding of how illnesses progress. As an illustration, neurodegenerative illnesses comparable to Alzheimer's are thought, by some, to contain poisonous proteins spreading within the mind. "You could do a lot more here in terms of perturbing the brain in various ways: introducing a prion protein, or amyloid-beta, for example, and looking at spreading," Lancaster says. "Being able to see it in real time is really key. This would be a way to do that." The staff engaged with present ethics frameworks from the time it started to plan the experiments. Chief among the many ethics considerations is whether or not resuscitated brains would possibly exhibit indicators of consciousness. The research particularly wished to keep away from the distant chance that consciousness would return, and the researchers have been ready to decrease temperatures and deploy anesthetics to extinguish such indicators in the event that they emerged. They regularly monitored electrical recordings from the brains' floor and noticed no proof of the worldwide electrical exercise that might be anticipated if there was something approaching cognition. "I'm very confident no consciousness was present in these restored brains," says Christof Koch of the Allen Institute for Mind Science in Seattle, a number one researcher within the neuroscience of consciousness. There have been not one of the indicators we affiliate with consciousness, and even sleep, Koch says: "Only a flat line, implying a complete absence of any sort of consciousness." However a part of the rationale for the dearth of electrical exercise might relate to the truth that the perfusion resolution contained neural exercise blockers. The researchers included these blockers as a result of they wished to maintain the brains quiescent to maximise mobile restoration. An energetic mind would require a massively better power provide, and the very act of firing can injury neurons (a phenomenon referred to as excitotoxicity). The staff took tissue samples to indicate that particular person neurons have been nonetheless electrically purposeful, which essentially concerned washing out the answer to organize the samples for electrophysiological recordings. However what would have occurred if these blockers weren't used? "We cannot speak with any scientific certainty to that point, since we didn't run those experiments," Stefano Daniele, co-lead writer of the research, advised journalists. If such future experiments have been to maneuver resuscitated brains nearer to aware exercise, that might spur discussions about what will be thought of actually lifeless. These concerns are mentioned in one other accompanying commentary article co-authored by authorized scholar Nita Farahany, a bioethicist who's a member of the Neuroethics Working Group on the BRAIN Initiative and who the researchers consulted from an early stage. The staff additionally consulted the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) at Yale, and the members have been advised the research was not topic to animal welfare-protection pointers. Most clearly, the pigs have been already lifeless: the researchers procured the brains from a pork processing plant, so no animal was sacrificed for this analysis. In any case, such pointers don't apply to animals raised for meals. Shifting ahead, the work have to be replicated by different labs that should be taught the intricacies of the operated by hand system. The staff itself needs to ascertain how lengthy brains will be sustained this manner. The perfusion stage of the experiment solely lasted six hours as a result of at that time, the management brains that weren't within the BrainEx system had undergone an excessive amount of disintegration for significant comparisons to be made. If brains will be stored going for lengthy intervals, and researchers flip from prioritizing mobile restoration to reviving electrical perform in situ, that might enter uncharted moral territory. "There are some questions that need to be answered first," Farahany says. "Can we ever get EEG recovery? What are the limits to it if we ever get to that? And what are the implications, then, for animal research and for human research one day?" In Farahany's view, these unknowns put what was initially thought of lifeless tissue into a brand new moral class. "It's the potential that creates a moral status that's different and requires that we treat it differently," Farahany says. "One could go with the safest possible approach there, which is to give it some or similar protections that would be accorded to animal research subjects." Such an experiment would probably be first tried in rodents, initially by simply eradicating the chemical compounds that block electrical exercise. If something that appeared remotely like aware exercise have been to be detected, we might be in territory for which new moral pointers could be wanted. "At that point, if you start thinking about it more like a living animal, then minimizing any risk of pain or distress would be appropriate," Farahany says. "The problem is: right now, we think of this as tissue research and it's no longer just clearly dead. It's just not exactly alive either." Read the full article

Technology that “Empowers Profound creation”-Microsoft’s Nadella
Empowering Generations of Creators and Users for Tomorrow
We want to have the effect that the Guttenberg press had on this generation –Terry Myerson, Microsoft
Microsoft’s Satya Nadella was the last one to take the stage at the latest New York unveiling by Microsoft. They put the ‘Awe’ in “AweSome” and the “WoW” was onstage as well. Now all they have to do is make sure it all works as they have said it would! Stepping forward to MC the major show was Terry Myerson, Microsoft Executive VP of Windows and Devices group. It was an unveiling that many in the Tech world had been guessing what would be revealed. If you are a techy, then this show was for you.
If you were a gamer, then it was also the show that you would not want to miss. No doubt after all was said and done Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella gave a short speech that summed up the fact and vision that he has pushed at Microsoft which was creativity and creation, thus making technology become a tool. As he said “technology is just a tool in the hands of humanity which enhances our creativity.” He urged creators to seize the moment and bring creativity to life.” After all, he said that technology “Empowers profound creation!”
This, of course was a sales speech, but after seeing the lineup which focused on three main areas; I believe the presentation did its job. It has come a long way since Microsoft’s founding in 1975. Even longer it seems since the first release of Window’s 3.0 on May 22nd of 1990. It was that windows that I first had. It was new, innovative; but yet it crashed. Today after the Windows 10 first came on the scene in 2015 to today the OS has had many problems. Yet this Windows 10 is still much better than many previous OS put out by Microsoft. I know, I have had the OS from the start. I was one of the one’s who followed the system and at the first chance upgraded from Windows 7. I wish I could say it was an easy time. But to be blunt, it was full of problems; yes many of us know very well what it was like.
Windows 10 Creator’s Update
Today’s revealing issued forth the Windows 10 Creators Update which will be released in early spring of 2017. The three most important areas detailed today in the show were:
The expanding of Virtual reality, 3D, and Mixed Reality
Making the systems 4K gaming and broadcasting upgrades a reality
The issue of connecting, sharing, and keeping in touch with family, friends, and collaborators
The presentation went into depth, in as much as you can in the time allotted, for each area. I am not a gamer, but I know very well the depth to which this arena is and the popularity of it all. The most interesting thing today for me was something I write about a lot. This is Artificial intelligence and its companion virtual reality. Here we find Microsoft bringing things from real life into the digital world on your computer, then transferring it to your own world of family and friends. But this is not all; you can take your real world, take it into the digital world of 2D, and then transfer it to the 3D world of Virtual reality and mixed reality. Microsoft will unlock a new era of creativity which will house other apps and major players. It will also have an updated Paint and Powerpoint to work in 3D. They have included collaboration with Remix 3D, SketchUp, and others who are in the 3D and VR Mixed reality products. HoloLens will be included even more in the systems along with Edge which will have 3D capabilities.
We want to have the effect that the Guttenberg press had on this generation –Terry Myerson, Microsoft
Pushing home the point that people are the center of the Windows Experience, the next update will address the issue that many of us face today. After all, we all know how one’s information can get lost in myriads of junk mail. Or become enveloped on Facebook or Twitter by torrents of posts. They indeed want to make sharing information with your family, friends, and others as easy and fast as possible, including a drag and drop on people icons in the task bar. Which will immediate forward the information in apps you can choose from.
Surface Book updated
Filter your incoming info with your personal prioritized contacts so you see the text or message from your most important contacts to be upfront. Cut through the noise so you can connect to the most important people in your life. – Allison O’Mahoney
“Technology is just a tool in the hands of humanity which enhances our creativity. It Empowers profound creation!” -Satya Nadella
The two major devices announced today were the new Surface Book which has had a full thermal redesign that includes a second fan and cooling fins. They have added more batteries to make a full 16 hours of battery life possible. In short they say it is the ‘most power and ultimate laptop’ out there that makes for 30% more battery life, two times more graphics than any other, and even 3 times more than the Mac book pro.
Summary: Surface Book
Updated I7 chip to more! $899, $1,499, $2300,
30% more battery life, most powerful, two times more graphics than any other, 3 times more than mac book pro.
Full thermal redesign
Added second fan with cooling fins
Put more batteries in product, 16 hours of battery life
Most powerful and ultimate laptop
The new product unveiling was seemingly incredible with a massive 28” screen enclosed in solid aluminum. It also is one of the thinnest LCD’s ever created with a unbelievable 13.5 million pixel screen that also has what Microsoft calls True Color. Watching the stream live, the Surface Studio PC, was not your ordinary PC. In fact it is so different that to call it one would be a misnomer. On my own screens as I watched you could plainly see the vibrant and True Color the display had. In addition, with the ability of the frame to lay down the screen and make it into a studio device for creating, drawing, and doing other intricate details, it was a win.
Surface Studio is the New product:
To say I would not want one of these studio pc’s would be a mistake. It was beautiful; the graphics on screen and at the presentation were great. The illustrations and use of the studio itself and how you can move the LCD effortless to use as a board to do work on was to the point. They revealed a lot in the use of this studio but also the strength and durability of the system. The problem here is one little one. Will it really work? It is not that Microsoft has made mistakes [although they have]; the intro of Windows 10 was filled with problems from the get-go. Today I wanted one of these, either the laptop surface or the studio surface. This is what the presentation today impressed on me. I am a creator, writer, author, and painter. All of which are creative which flow from the creative juices that I have. But these are much more than that. We will see what others may offer in competition to Microsoft, but today the team that presented these products did their job. They sold us on the products, technology, and made us believe this is a new era in the race for Virtual reality and AI. These both represent a new level of get things done technology that seems, looks like, and has the specs for a very top notch system.
Details of the New Surface Studio

Lessons in Fear and Wealth from the Coronavirus
As I write this, the biggest story in the entire world is a virus that is making its way around the planet, leaving a trail of sickness and death in its wake, while sending a much bigger shockwave of fear and uncertainty out front. Last week, the US stock market dropped 15% in just a few days, the most shocking correction since the 2008-2009 financial crisis (and the most interesting drop since the founding of this blog in 2011).
I am sure you’ve been hearing, reading or watching plenty about it already, but the real question is, what should we do about it?
The Scary Side
Is this a screenshot from the fear-mongering TV news? Nope, just a moment from a classic zombie movie, although sometimes it is hard to tell the difference.
The fear and doubt seems to be what the news stories have been emphasizing. The disease is highly contagious, and very sneaky. Each carrier seems to infect 2-3 additional people, which means exponential growth. And with an observed death rate of about 4% so far, it is about 400 times more deadly than the common flu.
On the news, we see rows of hastily installed hospital beds, people wearing paper face masks even here in our own country, empty supermarket shelves and shuttered factories and public venues.
And we are reminded that we ain’t seen nothing yet, because with mild symptoms that can hide for days, most cases are going unreported and the disease is pumping its toxic tentacles through the arteries of our economy, plotting its attack while we are left POWERLESS UNTIL THE RIOTS IN THE STREET START AND PEOPLE ARE SMASHING THROUGH OUR WINDOWS TO TAKE OUR LAST FEW CANS OF BEANS AFTER WE RUN OUT OF AMMO IN OUR SHOTGUNS.
Some people are just prone to this type of thinking, and I even have a few in my own life. They have warned me to gather “at least a few months worth” of nonperishable food in my pantry and make sure I have a generator and plenty of fuel, at the very least. And to reconsider my stance of not keeping any guns in the house.
The Not-So-Scary Side
I went out on the town at the peak of the scare. The reality is different from the news headlines.
As I write this on March 2nd, there have been about 90,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19. And while the number is still growing rapidly, at the moment it is still a tiny number, about one thousandth of a percent of the world’s population. So even if it multiplies 100-fold, it would be a tenth of one percent. And out of these 90,000 people, about half are already recovered and have moved on with their lives. And the vast majority of the remaining ill, and all those who are so far undetected, and those who are yet to get infected, will also recover.
Past and current status of the outbreak.
But do we have any idea how bad it will get, before it gets better? As it turns out, we do. But first, some perspective.
Here are this year’s numbers for the tried-and-true traditional flu for the 2019 flu season in the US alone (and remember the USA is only four percent of the world population):
Wow, 32-45 million cases of the flu already, and tens of thousands of deaths. Even I had no idea it was that serious, and yet the flu is something I don’t even worry about – ever!
Even scarier: every year, about 2.8 million people die in the US alone, and a full 70% of these deaths (over two million people per year) are caused by “lifestyle factors”, which to put it plainly means ignoring Mr. Money Mustache’s advice about bikes, barbells and salads every day.
So if we start with the common flu, which is surprisingly scary, choosing car-based transportation and TV-based entertainment and consuming processed high-carbohydrate food and soft drinks should feel at least an additional hundred times scarier than that.
But do you feel the appropriate ratios of fear in these two situations? And a much smaller amount of fear about the Coronavirus? Probably not, because we humans generally suck at putting numbers, statistics and probabilities into perspective.
We Have Been Here Before
In my lifetime alone, we have seen the rise and decline of quite a list of worldwide health scares, each of which was covered in the news with similar intensity to what we see today. AIDS, Ebola, SARS, Bird Flu, and the 2009 Swine Flu pandemic, also known as H1N1. That one was particularly serious in retrospect, having infected between 11-21% of the world’s population and taking the lives of about 500,000.
Yet here we are, with that fearful event gone from the rearview mirror and a global economy that is far richer than it has ever been. Which is exactly what we will eventually be saying about the present moment in time, from our vantage point in the even more prosperous future.
And Math Can Help Create Perspective
Contagious diseases don’t just grow forever until everybody is dead. They follow an S-curve, like this recent prediction for Covid-19’s spread. It currently estimates that we may see things flatten out fairly soon, but more importantly it continually updates to new information and makes an educated guess – a great strategy for dealing with unknowns in life in general.
One mathematical model that a researcher is updating each day – image source.
On the other hand, some estimates are more pessimistic. Disease modelers at Northeastern University uses different assumptions to predict between 550,000 and 4 million cases worldwide*, before we reach the flat top of our “S”. But that’s still only a twentieth of one percent of the world’s population who would even get the disease, and then a further 96-98% of those would recover.
As a final source of information, when it comes to world health issues I always like to see what Bill Gates has to say. And sure enough, he written this great opinion piece in a medical journal. His main point? The damage done by a virus really depends on how well our governments respond to it. Lots of caution and a quick response leads to much better results.
So there’s still a lot of uncertainty. But when faced with a lack of information, we can choose one of two options on where to learn more:
Good looking news anchors with fake tans and no scientific background, who make more money if they generate more viewership hours and advertising revenue, which is proven to multiply if they can cause their viewers to experience fear, or
Scientists and mathematicians who study this stuff for a living, and use incoming data to make a series of continually refined predictions.
As Mustachians, we get our information from scientists rather than news anchors and politicians, and then we choose a course of action based on what is in our circle of control. In the case of the Coronavirus, I would say that means taking the following steps:
Continue the usual program of living a healthy life. Just the incredibly simple steps of cutting cars, sugar and television out of your life as much as possible will virtually eliminate the 70% fatality risk factor of being inactive and unfit – and yet only a tiny percentage of people – even those lucky enough to still have fully able bodies – actually follow this advice. On top of that, this strategy will also greatly boost your immunity to Covid-19, and decrease your chance of serious illness or death if you do catch it.
Don’t try to out-guess the stock market. Just celebrate the fact that we have a temporary sale on stocks. While the endless stream of meaningless market commentary every day means absolutely nothing, one fact remains indisputable: stocks you buy today at a 15% discount from their peak, will be 15% more profitable for you over your lifetime.
And finally, still important but statistically less urgent is taking actual steps related to dodging this and other viral illnesses. Wash your hands a few times a day and avoid unnecessary large gatherings of people in close quarters, until the health organizations tell us we are in the clear.
Guns and ammo and a bunker full of canned beans not required.
* a really interesting quote from that same article about the size of the uncertainty around diseases: ” In the autumn of 2014, modelers at CDC projected that the Ebola outbreak in West Africa could reach 550,000 to 1.4 million cases in Liberia and Sierra Leone by late January if nothing changed. As it happened, heroic efforts to isolate patients, trace contacts, and stop unsafe burial practices kept the number of cases to 28,600 (and 11,325 deaths). “

FACK v2
New Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ, pronounced FACK), because a bunch has changed. Let's see what we can answer.
What's your name?
Ian. You can call me Ian. Or Oath. Hey. 'Sup.
How old are you?
At the time of writing this, 32. My birthday is October 7. I'm not very mature though.
Where are you from?
I live in Orlando, Florida, in the United States. It's okay, mostly warm.
What is your race/ethnicity/nationality?
I'm Filipino American. My mom and dad are from the Philippines, but I was born in Indiana. I look ethnic, but I got that radio voice. Throws people off. I like it.
When do you stream?
At the moment, really, whenever I can. I’ve tried setting a schedule and sticking to it, however, with being a bartender and in a long distance relationship, my professional and private life takes precedence over streaming, so I stream usually in the evenings when I can manage it. SORRY FOR INCONSISTENCY.
What's with the bar and the drinks?
I'm a craft cocktail bartender. I was trained by Rene Nguyen at two of Orlando's best craft cocktail bars, Hanson's Shoe Repair and Herman's Loan Office. Currently in the bar scene, I work at the two aforementioned bars anywhere from two to five times a week. I've built a bar here for the stream due to my recent growing interest. I hope with dedication and time I can share my passion for craft cocktails with the Twitch Community. I tend to stick with classic cocktails, plays on classics, or riffing on classic bases, but I'm open to anything suggested within reason.
Do you take orders? How can I suggest a drink?
I do, so long as I have the stuff for it and it’s a classic cocktail in nature. Inappropriate drink orders, like a Redheaded Slut, Liquid Cocaine, or a Leg Spreader, for example, will not be made, nor will it be taken likely in the chat. Classic cocktail requests only, plays on classics, or a craft cocktail you may have tried, hell, if you wanna throw ideas at me, we can workshop on the stream.
What games do you stream?
I stream mostly the Sims 4. I'm pretty much a Sims 4 streamer, but I do play other things as well, mostly city builders, RPGs, survival games, sandboxes, anything with larger scope, long term gains aspect to it. I play story driven games on occasions, but not as often. Big indie game fan, so you'll see some of that. Not much of a FPS/shooters kind of guy, so you probably won't see me at the Call of Doots.
What're you computer specs?
I have an Intel i7-4790K Quad-Core CPU at 4GHz, 16GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GTX 970. That's the important bits, I think. You can gauge my computer's capabilities pretty much with just those things.
What do you use to stream?
Open Broadcasting Software. It's free and cool.
What's your audio set up?
I use an Audio Technica AT2020 condenser as a studio microphone hooked up to a Behringer XENYX Q502USB if I'm just playing games or for any guests on the stream. Usually I have a lavalier microphone on, an Audio Technica MT830cW attached to a Audio Technica ATW-T1001 System10 Wireless Body Pack Transmitter, transmitting to an Audio Technica ATW-R1100 System10 Receiver. It all sounds sexy.
When did you start playing the Sims?
I recall buying the first game when it came out, getting every expansion and stuff pack for that, and ever since then, owning every release for every version of the Sims for the PC since. so I guess since 2000, the initial release of the Sims.
Can I request a song?
It...kind of works? I use Ankhbot and it’s not the best at handling requests at the moment. Once I figure that out, sure, we can do that.
Can I be a moderator?
No.
Did you invent the Hunger Games for the Sims 4?
Yes I did. I created the Hunger Games in an attempt to weed out the population of my viewer sims town as best as I could. I adapted the rules from PopKell and her Sims 3 Hunger Games.
Essentially you’ll need an Arena; if you need one, you can search for me on the Gallery and I’ll have a few provided (OathD2C is my name on the Gallery, I’m fairly consistent like that about my username). Next, you’ll need 8 sims who all have one particular trait: Loves Outdoors. The other two traits and the aspiration don’t really matter, so long as they have this one. Next, you stick them in an Arena and...wait.
The idea of the Hunger Games is an attrition based, commentary heavy, specifically made for streaming method of gameplay. You don’t essentially do anything aside from streamlining the action and bringing back sims that teleport out by accident. Usually within 20 minutes to an hour and a half, you’ll have a handful of the original 8 dead to some form of attrition, whether it be actual hunger, embarrassment, fire, or the usual drowning. The idea is that you do not control any of them, but merely observe. Hell, you can take bets or even make it a drinking game.
Do you have a YouTube?
Yes, you can CLICK HERE and it'll take you to my YouTube account. I update occasionally with Sims 4 content as well as my own gameplay of other games, so stick around for more updates!
What time is it there?
I don’t understand why this is a really heavily asked question. I live in Florida, which is Eastern Standard Time in the United States of America (EST), Greenwich Mean Time -5:00 (GMT), so that makes it something-o'clock. I get that you’re trying to gauge when and if the stream will end, but knowing what time it is where I am doesn’t really make a lick of difference. I start and end when I want, and I stream for as long as I want.
How long are you streaming for?
I seriously don’t understand questions like this. What’re you doing? Are you multitasking? did you put me on in the background while you’re doing dishes? Did you happen upon me, liked what you see, but have some engagement you’ve committed yourself to and are wondering if I’ll be on when you get back? I seriously stream of my own volition; simply put, the stream ends when it’s finished. I know that doesn’t tell you much, but I have ended a stream after 45 minutes and I have gone as long as 25 hours. I seriously don’t know how long I’m streaming for. Until I’m tired or done playing games for the night, truth be told.
When will the stream end?
When it’s finished.
What is HBnBM?
HBnBM, Headbang ‘n Buttonmash, was a editorial website dedicated to bringing you clever articles written by fans of metal music and video games. As of July 2015, the website has shifted focus to apparel and storefront operations, bringing you clever designs by metal and video game fans for metal and video game fans. When it was an editorial website, I acted as Editor-in-chief and wrote for the video game editorial column. I managed the HBnBM channel and Twitch representation for the site. As a storefront, I was a Community Liaison for Twitch and the video game section. They make cool stuff for you to drink out of, wear, and stick on your wall, so check out the store at - hbnbm.com.
Where did your username come from?
“Oath” is short for Oathbreaker. I was an avid fan and player of the Warcraft series, in particular, World of Warcraft, where I played, since 2005, a Warlock, and as of late 2006, a Blood Elf Warlock named Oathbreaker on Farstriders Realm. I was an English and linguistics major in college, so etymology was standard, and the word warlock is Gaelic for oath-breaker, so it’s a literally translated name. I’ve used the name in some form or fashion ever since.
“D2C” is an abbreviation for “Dressed to Cuddle.” It’s an exacerbated inside joke that slowly ended up being a personal label, clan tag, and website. It’s also from my WoW days where I met a majority of my friends in the game from a level 19 twink guild called Dressed to Kill. Twinking in WoW consisted of stopping XP, back in the day, mechanically by not doing quests, currently by turning off XP by speaking to an NPC in a major city, and playing content in such fashion. Between 2007 and 2009, twinking was big on our server and our group garnered a small reputation in Warsong Gulch, Capture the Flag. Our rivals were Farstriders Elite (FE), and we communicated with them on the WoW forums constantly, sometimes competitively, sometimes just talking shop, and sometimes it got ugly. On one occasion, four of us, Mordypants, Mooj, Elegia, and myself, were in a Battleground up against a full FE premade group of 10, and we got our asses handed to us, needless to say. Queue after queue, we kept running into them, and it got to the point where we “gave up.” Giving up, to us, consisted of us taking off our clothes and dancing in the flag room. When FE realized that we weren’t really playing, not putting up a fight, they decided to have some fun with it, because capping the flag, getting honor, all when you’re already top geared and honor-point capped, is boring. So some of them took off their clothes, some of them danced with us, and then finally, all of us, nearly 20 Alliance and Horde (I say nearly because there was a handful of PUGs, pick up players, actually trying to fight and not getting what was happening) buck-ass nude walking to the Alliance flag room to cap the last flag of the night. FE started a thread on the forums, titled “Dressed to Cuddle,” sharing the experience for the rest of the realm, and what was meant to be slightly insulting ended up sticking. We treated our guild like a family and we genuinely loved each like brothers and sisters, so being a bunch of carebears, we took it in stride. A few months later, I bought DressedtoCuddle.com and I started blogging about the random shit I did in WoW. I keep the abbreviation in my username for all things I do to remind me that it’s all just a game, in the end, despite how competitive things can get, don’t get heated, have fun, and always remember that your friends are on your team and, sometimes, on the other team.
What game is this?
Read the title! Seriously, the whole “I can’t see the title” is bullshit. EVERY PLATFORM shows you the title. I’m usually good about putting what game I’m playing, if it’s not the Sims 4, in the title. Seriously, you’re lazy. How do you end up in my stream?
How tall are you?
I actually get this question a lot. I seriously don’t know why. I’m 5'7".
Do you play Minecraft?
Yes, not on stream though. Minecraft culture makes me nervous. I like the Sims Community, I like the culture and people it fosters, and I’ve seen what Minecraft does for and to streamers. While I can objectively say, sure, it could be ridiculously successful for the stream, it makes me wonder at what cost. At the end of the day, I like to think I bring in quality viewers, and even though I’d love a subscriber button and pull in those numbers, I don’t want to do it in any other way but my own. But then the question comes up, will I EVER play Minecraft on the stream? I dunno. If I get a pang to play it, sure, let’s toss out the idea that maybe I will. One day. Probably not.
What games have you finished on the stream?
Wait, aren’t you in the last game? Domina?
Yeah. I voice acted for it. The long speech about grandma is me. I’m also various grunts and hollerings.
