We’re now four days away from Geneuary officially beginning!! I’m vibrating with excitement. It’s going to be incredible. I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you guys again for being so sweet and patient and supportive throughout this entire process. Geneuary wouldn’t be happening without all of you!!

It’s another big day today: It’s my dad’s birthday!! 🥳 🎂 🙌🏼🎈

So in honor of his birthday and Geneuary beginning in just four days (except for @unclefathersantateddy who gets a shoutout for being an absolute boss and making Geneuary every day this month by drawing Gene every day) I wanted to do another random poll!!

AITA for trying to renew my license?

I (30-40sM) am a scientist, and I have a license from the State providing my family (me and my daughter (4-5F) since my wife left us two years ago) money and means in exchange for my research. I got it for the first time two years ago when I created a speaking creature. Last year I struggled to renew my license, and I don't know what to do for this year.

Lately, the State authorities in my city allowed another (15M) licensed scientist to use my library for his own research, and I really resent that little genius. I want to show him that even normal people can do great things!

My daughter told me she trusted me to do well this year so I could keep my license, and now I know what I will do. I just need my daughter and her dog to be very obedient.

Edit: they arrested me. Why can't they understand my genius? And what's that strange man doing in my house?

I'm kind of an author? meaning I daydream 24/7 and plan tf out of fics and original stories but don't actually write them 💀 though, I've recently started an epic the musical fic (for reals, with words on it!! crazy, right?) with my friend, and we put a lot of thought into it, so maybe check it out? 🫶

going to keep this vague on purpose but playing reload has reactivated brain chemicals in me that i forgot i had.

i think i'd want to make a more thought out post later, but i think my favorite thing about reload (aside from seeing minato in full HD glory) is how much it's made me think about video games as a storytelling medium- specifically with what mechanics and game design imply for characters.

there's a lot of quality of life features added to reload that help players easily enter a flow state and get immersed in the gameplay (most notable with tartarus)! which is so dope! reload has been such a nice blend of the mechanics from both FES and portable and it feels like a love letter to persona 3 fans.

there are definitely mechanics i miss from FES (minato's ability to wield multiple weapons being one of them). i can't deny that FES has some dated mechanics that don't necessarily feel fun for the player experience... but!

i think i mostly miss things from FES because i feel like so much of minato's characterization (for me) was informed by the gameplay experience and mechanics (e.g. fatigue system). obviously there's still other ways you can put together his personality (his dialogue responses), but i think game mechanics are a bit part of it, for me.

but in spite of that, i think reload is a really nice introduction to persona 3, it's so much more accessible and has a bunch of things to help make it more fun :) so far i think i'd recommend it to people :D

I AGREE its so crazy how zap gags weren't a thing.... like TTCC really popped off with that one! i understand TTR is moreso sticking closer to the way TTO was but WOW zap just feels so natural with a REALLY good mechanic that uses strategy in using squirt and its just so good.... also my favorite track

YEEEPP!! That's how I feel about it. Squirt and zap just mix well together. I also think the addition of an 8th gag track was also a good move, allowing for a nice rotation of combinations (like how lure-trap and throw-drop are together as a combo). And also its a nice even number. I also think it helps utilize squirt, idk just feels good to do in general. Of course, I don't really have anything to compare this to and it's just me speaking as a player of (currently) one server, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Alright, duckies. I'm back with another uneventful update (sorry >~<). I have no inspiration for any actual headcanon posts of any worthwhile lengths, but I am cursed with many incomprehensible horny thoughts about various characters that I don't want to just put on this blog.

So, I might make a second headcanon blog. That's right, a second blog just for my own self indulgent thirsts. I'll probably sprinkle in some imagines, maybe some short drabbles, might answer horny requests from this blog if I find the motivation to write more than 20 words at a time.

I leave this decision up to you, dear followers, because you're probably the only ones that'll even see it.
