something was bugging me about the spreadsheet i made.

the non-treasure item with the highest total stat value was the unquenchable firebird. 72 points, impressive enugh. but what was more impressive to me was the aurochs-fur coat, despite it having a total of only 71. that was because it was a clothing, which is generally a weaker slot than companion. this made me wish for a way to find these items with the highest total proportional to the slot they were in.

i puzzled over this for a while, trying a few ideas which didn't pan out. it couldn't compare to the mean item in the slot; there are a bunch of bad companions, the companion slot is strong because it has a high top end. it couldn't compare to the maximum, because then outliers like the aurochs-fur coat would warp the data.

in the end i settled for comparing the value to the 95th percentile for the total stat value in the slot. keeping the top end of the data, while hopefully avoiding outliers.

as expected, the coat edges out the firebird here, though both are eclipsed by how good the hellworm is, for a transport. every slot where the data is very flat results in a 1; all the treasures, ships, clubs, tools of the trade, etc. (plus adornments because of the small sample size)

I feel like this has to be said, since it’s becoming increasingly popular to be extremely rude to ppl and trash on their interests (especially on tumblr)

You can enjoy any media you like despite what losers on tumblr tell you that you should and shouldn’t enjoy, be it music, books, or shows and movies. If you’re having fun and enjoying yourself that’s all that matters, lame ass ppl on this site will try and make u feel guilty about what you enjoy and I think that’s stupid as fuck

Listen to pop, watch that popular show, read that book that everyone claims is bad. Who cares, ppl are way too obsessed with being different and unique that they’ll try and squash your interests and enjoyment to make themselves seem interesting

Bottom line, just treat people with kindness and don’t diminish their interests, it’s such a shitty thing to do

we need to destroy the idea that girls should wear makeup. normalize bare faces on prom queens and flower girls and cheerleaders. no products at all instead of '7 product simple makeup routine.' no more 10 step skincare and regular facials and dermablading and gua sha just to be comfortable with yr natural face. i want to see eye bags on the funny librarian and acne on the swim coach and wrinkles on all our adult role models. i want to see a 16 year old girl that has never tried putting on eyeshadow. i want to see a 7 year old girl who doesn't have to go out and buy powder for her dance recital. i want to see trans women and girls everywhere to never have to wear makeup, regardless of how well they 'pass.' no more 'contouring to look masc' either. a post-beauty industry world is possible

Price couldn't care less if you kept your pubes shaved, personally. He does, however, love shaving you if that's how you like them.
