this is something I've started arguments with people about before. So I wanna see what tumblr(or at least my followers) think
please explain in the tags or as a full reblog why you believe what you do.
Personally I'm not gonna give my opinion because that could sway people in one way or another. And I don't want that
#free will is a really interesting topic because it's so vague and ambiguous that everyone has a different definition#if you believe that free will is about making decisions and the ability to make them freely#then an argument could be made that there is no free will as any decision we make is influenced by SOMETHING#whether that be advertisements and subconscious propaganda from a capitalistic source#or the fact that any decision from the most basic to even love is based on prior experiences and subconscious forces#you can successfully argue that you make no completely uninfluenced decisions#counterarguments could be something like those split second decision to save someone's life or following a random oitcome but then you#ultimately reach the conclusion that we are just atoms held together by forces that build up basically a machine#meaning no life exists in the first place#but no free will is ultimately a definitional term#it's a concept to define a concept#my interpretation is that free will is a concept to describe the difference between people#and how different people can make different decisions#in that sense free will is proven by the existence of individuality#you are different from your neighbor you can make different decisions from them#just because you can predict or influence those decisions doesn't stop you from making them#in that sense free will is taken when the subject is completely and utterly controlled by another#without the ability to even think#like an ant dying for a codyceps fungus to spread its spores#so in my head even thinking about free will proves that you have it#it's just a matter of can you act upon that will#also sorry that's really long and INCREDIBLY stream of thought#like I had to delete the first run of this cause I disproved my own point#probably did it again :p#it's fun doing this in the tags cause i can't see what i wrote

Hey, if you never hear from me again it is because I got lost getting to/from my hotel room and am now trapped

I’m honestly not sure I captured all the twists and turns

I’m watching The Big Bang Theory in its natural setting—playing in the background of a hot spiral room—and I can say within that specific context, it is a very charming show. Like the saltine crackers of media.

Why are all the lyrics I write so sad
#god i feel this#every single fucking time i try to write lyrics it either comes out as a poem with no melody#or a melody with no substance#and actually more often than not neither#i genuinely don't know how people do it#ALSO#JUST REALIZED I MISREAD THE POST OOPS

What you have to understand about me is that I'm guided by three things: my clit, my stomach, and my burning heart full of heroism, anger and love
