I wish we could have heard more of Cas singing. I feel like we got Bel’s set up but didn’t get the goods delivered! :)
HAAA! Funny thing is Bobo tweeted that it was specifically scripted exactly as we saw it. But they made him sing the whole thing anyway. I hope we see it in an outtake. :)

Bobo Berens knows what's up. Am I sad? Of course! Mary was such a great character, but she leave the narrative in such a good way.. more than we can say about other characters. Granted the vast majority of my friends felt very validated in Cas’ confession and more outraged by the aftermath and how Cas was erased in 15x20 but I have ears so I get that some fans *are* upset.  Misha shouldn’t have to do shit so “we could do better.” (It’s like blaming the workers for fucked up shit the company management is doing).
So these are my thoughts:
Firstly I kinda dislike the homogenous ‘all queer fans who love Destiel’. We’re not a monolith and you can be a queer fan who really enjoyed that confession scene and felt validated by it.  Secondly, the problem imo is not that we need more queer people behind the scenes (we do but that wasn’t the issue with Dean’s reciprocity imo), we need more queer people and straight people who are higher ups and who will allow queer stories like they write straight ones. Queer writers can only push the envelope so hard, (And Berens did push it hard, honestly some of the people going but Berens this, and Berens that and blaming Berens are gross. Yeah I said it. It’s gross. You all blaming a queer man for a culture and network environment when Berens has done more for the queer community and visibility when you were all in diapers!) One queer POV is not enough, true, but you don’t go fucking shot the trail blazer.  Yes, Cas’ speech was about how Dean helped him grow and love the world and love him, but ultimately it was about Cas. It was about Cas standing up and announcing to the world his truth, who he was and that it didn’t matter that he didn’t get to fully realize it, he still was. ( You are also missing the metaphysical aspect of having vs being and Berens who wrote all those alchemy references but since I know the post isn’t about this, I’ll skip it). It isn’t in the having but in the being. Cas expressed his truth, verbally yes, but it was in the being, in the living in every day action that he showed his love for Dean. In how he healed him. In how he died for him. In how he fought for him even when Dean didn’t fight for himself. In how he loved the things Dean loved solely for how his love loved them, in how his empathy and understand of the world came from Dean’s empathy and love for the world. Cas showed Dean he loved him with every ounce of his being, Cas didn’t need to say the damn words, every soul, angel and demon could see Cas loved Dean except Dean. Cas’ speech was about loving Dean, yes (and I love him for it) but ultimately, it was a speech about Cas loving himself and accepting himself as he was.  And I refuse the narrative that Dean didn’t react, or that he didn’t care or that he didn’t love Cas back. You all know he did, and the fact that Dean wasn’t allowed to say it back is not on the shoulders of Berens, or Jensen or Misha. It’s on the shoulders of the network.  Not Bobo writing about this for years before Supernatural and how queer stories always have the higher burden of proof and that he wrote it as a story that *is* and you all saying you don’t have it. You can say you want more, or that it’s bigger, or be angry about censorship and bigotry but you definitely have it. Throw your shit at the network, not Bobo.
I think Misha was instrumental in making the I Love You happen and he thought it would be validating for queer fans (he was right about that) but now he feels like he fucked up by not considering what the aftermath of could be. I think Jim Beaver actually (sadly) summed it up well. He thought we'd be grateful to be given anything rather than nothing. Misha didn't consider that it could be interpreted more as a taunt than a gift if there was no followthrough. (And there was NO followthrough.)
I have nothing to add, so just gonna post it.
(My point here)

Destiel in 15x03: “WHY DOES THAT SOMETHING ALWAYS SEEM TO BE YOU?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
CAS: You used to trust me, give me the benefit of the doubt. Now you can barely look at me.
CAS: My powers are failing. I’ve tried to talk to you, over and over, and you just don’t wanna hear it. You don’t care. I’m...dead to you. You still blame me for Mary?
[DEAN tilts head; says nothing]
CAS: Well I don’t think there’s anything left to say.
[CAS turns to walk away]
DEAN: Where’re you going?
CAS: Jack’s dead. Chuck’s gone. You and Sam have each other. I think it’s time for me to move on.

OH MY GOSH!!
I hope to get a full 15x03 review going next week after my Pharmacology quiz Monday, so I’m copying and pasting my sloppy thread from Twitter again--
Y'all can look at that scene as platonic or shitty storytelling, and your feelings are entirely valid, but in my humble opinion, this friggin' scene, right here, peeps...QUALITY PERSONAL STORYTELLING. A PUNCH IN THE NARRATIVE GUT!! Close friends — deep platonic friends — don't experience such an extreme magnitude of intense pain, hurt, and confrontation re: tangled and complicated feelings. The intentional sombre ambience, with bright harsh lighting conveying the harsh nature of Dean and Cas’ current relationship? Cas walking away, subverted from 4x20 The Rapture, YES @castielslostwings, in which Dean’s (and Cas’) ultimate failure to use their words broke them irreparably (temporarily)? Cas internalizing his duty-bound calling to Heaven and splitting up with Dean at the end of 4x20 while, at the same time, experiencing his fall from grace re: Dean Humanity Winchester’s influence; then, in paralleling contrast to 15x03, he leaves Dean behind again, this time completely devoid of any positive self-process and hope upon the false knowledge that Dean hates him and no longer wants anything to do with him? The framing between Dean and Cas, with a single table and lonely lamp, once upon a time fixtures of comfort and discussion, exposing the isolation they both feel (not to mention Dean’s holding his own cup of booze — the typical cue that he’s going to cope badly)?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*clutches chest*
Sam was, since last season, easily able to realize (purposely able, in part because unlike Dean, he has a platonic relationship with Cas which allows him to use his RATIONAL judgement, not clouded by strong emotions) that Cas had NOTHING TO DO with Mary's death.
This explosive ROMANTIC breakup between Dean and Cas specifically -- Sam locked away in his room a la S12/13 era grieving!Dean -- was the culmination of YEARS of messy feelings and unsaid emotions; Dean, fearing that what he has with his family — with CAS, isn't real — finally drove Cas to the edge. It was the only common (TERRIBLE) way Dean knew how to protect himself from getting hurt again. Most of all, by driving Cas away, he thought he was protecting both of them.
I mean, DEAN HAD UNSHED TEARS IN HIS EYES THE ENTIRE TIME. WHEN HE SAW CAS WALK AWAY — as he tightly gripped the table with his hand — HIS HEART BROKE, alongside the orchestral swell of DEAN’S THEME. THIS SCENE WAS MEANT TO HURT BADLY. IT WAS MEANT TO TEAR THE BOND BETWEEN DEAN AND CAS APART. THIS NARRATIVE IS CANON. BOBO EXECUTED IT BEAUTIFULLY, INTERSPERSING DEAN AND CAS' SCENES WITH SAM/ROWENA. They both lost their respective allies. Friends. LOVERS (potential in Sam and Rowena’s case) (jeez louise the visual intercut between both of their scenes!!! My heart’s still pounding.)
So, let's go over this again: if Dean and Cas’ relationship truly is platonic in nature and nothing else beyond that, how come it's not SAM telling Cas he's always the thing that goes WRONG? (Besides the obvious fact that he was preoccupied himself, absolutely shattered over Cas parallel-Rowena’s death, which was a WILLFUL CHOICE ROWENA MADE ON HER OWN?)
How come it's not SAM who still wrongly blames Cas for Mary's death?
Tumblr media
(Dean could barely look Cas straight in the eye precisely because he knew that what he said was irrevocably false.)
That's right: we DON'T see Sam treating Cas horribly because SAM ISN'T IN LOVE WITH CAS.
DEAN IS.
It’s the beauty of these structural romantic patterns the underlying cyclic metanarrative’s been spinning us all with!!
THE LOVE DEAN FEELS FOR CAS IS SO IRRATIONAL AND SO TURBULENT AND YET SO RIGHT. IT'S BEEN A ROMANCE TROPE FOR YEARS: BREAK THEM UP FOR A MUCH SWEETER MAKEUP *throws self off cliff 49854985 times*
For now, Dean and Sam lost their closest allies. For now, Dean lost Cas, the most important man in his life, his sunshine, his win, his confidante...his spouse (and I tell you, the negative spaces are SCREAMING here. The subtext is pushing against the wall of text hard in S15). This scene was, for all intents and purposes, a smack-dabb fest of breaking up to pursue the last stretches of individual growth before they reunite to form a stronger unit. Remember, you can’t properly give yourself to another nor love another if you can’t love yourself. At this point, after the phenomenal hurdles of growth they experienced throughout the last 3 seasons, Dean and Cas are close to achieving full self-actualization! Almost there! Final regression before progression!
I mean, we’ve all been saying this for years now, too! THEY MUST USE THEIR WORDS, OR ELSE MISCOMMUNICATION WILL BE THE DEATH OF THEM. Tonight, it finally unfolded. The necessary smiting of their son Jack’s body, then Rowena’s literal death (which I humbly think isn’t permanent at this time for reasons I hope to explain later), offset by Cas’ metaphorical death via his walking out on Dean as a semi-regressed, hopeless shell of himself who thinks he no longer holds any ties — or has any meaningful place — in Dean’s life, shattered Team Free Will (Cas’ quiet “I think it’s time for me to move on” was the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever heard from him in the romantic context of the moment! Dean and Cas’ marital discord/tension was deliberately reaching an ugly peak since 15x01; their relationship encountered its worst Rupture yet. The ep literally encapsulated RUPTURE...the rupture of trust, love, faith, and hope. The writers are highlighting it incredibly well, and I’m sitting here holding my breath!!)
Chuck, the ultimate Big Bad and toxic father figure, was still exerting his oppressive presence despite his physical absence within their dialogue (and tonight’s main plot). His actions in 14x20 led them to this, prying open their deepest insecurities and allowing despair to take over again (Belphegor, significant exposition, expectedly triggered Cas’ fears by referring to his sense of expendability under Sam and Dean’s wing). It’s what Chuck wanted: to destroy the found Winchester family who dared to defy him --> Cas believes he’s unwanted by Dean and has no family. Dean believes he deserves Cas leaving him.
WHAT A MESS!!
CONGRATULATIONS AND HUUGE APPLAUSE BOBO FOR CREATING THE BEST ANGSTY MISCOMMUNICATIVE TROPED-UP EMOTION-CENTERED EP SO FAR FOR THIS FINAL SEASON YET AGAIN!!
No joke. I shed some nasty tears, hand cupped over my mouth. The raw anguish of Jensen and Misha’s chemistry radiated off the screen!!
RATING: 10/10
Things must get worse before they get better, and Dabb & Co know it. (I’m cautiously optimistic, and I’m one of the annoying positive believers who do not think Cas is going to die at the end of this show. It simply would be the bottom-line crap cop-out for him and TFW as a collective. We shall see!!)

I've been peeking in on twitter more often than usual over the last few days, partly because I spent the weekend working a con with Zerbe and didn't have time to spend scrolling tumblr, and partly in looking at the numerous Hot Bad Takes about Steve Yockey getting what appears to be a once in a lifetime sort of opportunity for a writer and leaving Supernatural before the series is finished, and partly because since the show is ending this year and there's so many campaigns to show our love to the cast and crew... but I haven't seen anyone start a campaign to show our love to the one group of people who've already been laboring away on s15 for more than a month already: THE BELOVED WRITERS WHO ARE CRAFTING OUR RUN TO THE FINISH LINE!
(presented with a focus on the writers who have a social media presence on twitter, who will actually see this...)
They've been hard at work since May preparing to bring us one final season of Team Free Will in their last stand against the Cosmic Drama that has been building up to this for the last 14 years. I'd really love to begin a concerted campaign to share our love for what they do, and not just in a generalized squee sort of way, but in the same way we offer thoughtful comments on fic. I feel bad because I spend all my time writing about the glory of the narrative structure of this show, the brilliance of Dabb's showrunning direction, the depth of Meredith Glynn's character study (especially of Dean, but honestly of all the characters, including Cas... remember 14.17? Cas has amply demonstrated just how much he understands the value of his human family, and is on the road to understanding what he might also mean to them).
The care with wich Bobo has crafted some of the most painful leaps in emotional growth for the characters (hello, 14.18... you can watch a a microcosm of Dean's entire emotional journey over the course of the show encapsulated in that single episode). Master of the Fanfiction Gap-- and in partnership with Meredith-- the providers of possibly the most efficient and broad emotional layering through glimpses of the past in the current narrative... I know I'm not explaining this well, but, I SEE WHAT THEY DID THERE, with everything from the mixtape-- and not even the shippy implications of it, but using that singular moment to show us the breadth and depth of all the characters' relationships by reminding us of all the things we never actually see on screen, yet which still happen in the characters' "real lives." And holy HECK 14.18 was a master class in that, with the layered flashbacks to explore each character’s relationship with Mary.
One of my most-referred back to episodes of s14 has been 14.08, Byzantium, which honestly the meta implications of the title alone spurred some of the most interesting discussions I've had on the cosmology of the show's universe, and laid some solid groundwork for what I presume will be the direction the show takes in s15. SOULS DETERMINE THEIR OWN FATE! Our choices DO matter! And we have Meredith Glynn to thank for that.
This is the sort of excellent writing that makes these characters so real to us, that keeps us invested in the characters and the show. They DO feel like real people, with full lives in three dimensions, and our televisions are the portal to their universe that we're only gifted a tiny portion of in 42 minute chunks. And yet... we do feel like we understand so much of their lives that we DON'T see on screen, precisely because of this incredibly layered and subtle character study.
Which brings me to the newest writer on staff, Jeremy Adams. He gave us the glory that is Scoobynatural, under some incredibly tight constraints (given the limitations of how they were allowed to present the Scoobyverse within the Supernatural universe's rules), and I'm incredibly excited to see his more standard take on Sam, Dean, and Cas in a full-on episode of Supernatural. And honestly, we need more along the lines of The Killer Stuffed Dinosaur In Love. I think, if anything, Jeremy has a solid hold on who these characters are-- both the surface layer and the far deeper emotional layers-- as well as a fresh take on the show’s inherent sense of humor.
(and I mean COME ON in Dabb era, the era of the author of 8.08, we know there’s an element of brilliant Cartoon Logic to the narrative)
And we can't forget Davy Perez, who effectively provided us a guidebook on How To Watch This Show: Meta Edition with 14.04 Mint Condition, and then used this guide to break us all completely with 14.11 Damaged Goods. But also setting up a mirror confrontation for how Mary parents her boys in how she deals with Dean here, which will become painfully, horrifically twisted around in how she presents the exact same choice to Jack in 14.17/14.18. I'm wibbling just thinking about it, and honestly that's what good writing DOES. It grabs you by the feelers and does not let go.
And ALL of this has happened under Dabb's orchestration. All these other writers are effectively telling us HIS story. I don't think they're all getting the credit they deserve. Yes, I write rhapsodic about their episodes on tumblr, but they never see it. I think, heading into this final season, we all owe these people the praise and thanks they deserve to hear, and not just the usual Twitter Terrible Hot Take machine they're typically exposed to.
To that end, I've done a bit of research and made a contact who has promised to hand deliver our gratitude directly to these writers who need to hear it most. The cast is steeped in our gratitude at every con, and there's been multiple campaigns in fandom to thank the tireless crew who works on set every day to bring this show to us. But as a writer, I understand how thankless their job can feel. And I have an idea of what would absolutely mean the most to them: Direct messages of "I see what you did there."
I got a message to that effect on my fic Cakepocalypse! a few weeks ago, and I'm gonna share it here (without attribution, since I haven't asked the commenter for permission to share it), but it is the PERFECT example of the sort of thing I want to give the SPN writers:
Tumblr media
[transcript of the image: comment:  Ok, I'm re-reading this and I'm amazed to see that there are more hints as to what's really going on much sooner than I realized! You must have worked really hard structuring all this! Wow, the mind boggles.
my response:  HEEE! OMG THANK YOU THIS IS THE BEST. I, being a Nervous Author Type, was worried I would give it all away too soon, or that nobody would notice what I was doing and feel like the surprise comes out of nowhere, so this is literally the most satisfying possible comment you could've given and I appreciate you so much rn. Thank you :'D]
I can't even BEGIN to express how much this simple comment meant to me. I felt PERFECTLY SEEN. And I want to share that feeling with the writers who craft this show for us to enjoy, because all of them deserve to know that we care about the characters and their story and their eventual fate as much as they do.
So here's my proposal:
It doesn't have to be complex. You don't need to write them novels, but I think sharing the sort of specific love and appreciation for them that I've attempted to express above will go MILES toward energizing the writers as they move into the final season. Let's share with them how much this entire journey has meant to us. Let's let them know that WE SEE WHAT YOU'RE DOING THERE!
If you're comfortable going on twitter, by all means take your appreciation directly to the source. Here's a link to the thread I tweeted out to this effect for a reference if you'd like one:
https://twitter.com/MittensMorgul/status/1146137421345636352
(and because I think twitter cut my thread in half, here’s the rest: https://twitter.com/MittensMorgul/status/1146137437170626560)
If you're not on twitter (or are D: over sharing your love so openly for whatever reason), I will open my submissions here on tumblr. You can write a letter of appreciation which I will ensure (anonymously if you prefer) will reach the writers directly. I'll also be compiling a list of links to meta or other tumblr posts you feel the writers will appreciate reading, but I will only share them with explicit permission from the authors of said posts. So if you want to share your love that way, please submit links to the specific posts you'd like me to share with them and I’ll make sure they get them.
My tumblr experience has been a gleeful love letter to this show, but I know the writers aren't seeing any of it. If anyone deserves to feel our love (especially as writers ourselves-- meta, fic, etc.-- or even as appreciators of excellent writing), it's the people who have poured themselves into creating this show for us. Regardless of what we ship, or what our expectations might be going into s15, I think it's important for us to acknowledge them now, and let them know how important Supernatural has been to all of us.

Maybe Kelios will truly hit her head then and not use it as an excuse for the bullshit she sent Berens.
Haven't heard from the b*bros/antis since the episode aired. Do you think they're still alive lol
glad you asked because i want everyone to know that bobo slaughtered them in response to them bitching in his mentions about it
Tumblr media
my boy bobo really was like “suffer <3″
Tumblr media
in all seriousness, they spent years fighting against any diversity and rep in the show, even the occasional appearance, because those characters are not Salmondean. so pretty fucking hilarious that their tweets are allll about how they care about rep and are parading around as the True Allies by using progressive activism language. the truth is they dgaf they never HAVE given a fuck and they will NEVER give a fuck. people looking in that don’t know these fuckers: these people dgaf about you. all they care about is the fact that a ship they obsessively hate is canon
what happened in the episode is that EVERYONE ON EARTH got thanosed. and really with cas in the empty now that makes dean The Last Queer Standing so HUSH YOUR MOUTHS
tbh, nonnie, im just petty enough to hope theyre lulled into a false sense of security by the bros (and jack + special guest DOGGO) next week and then BAM!!!! hit in the face with dean given a chance to reciprocate cas’s feelings in 15.20. i hope sam goes off into the sunset with eileen, dealing the final blow to their excitement about jared doing Walker so i can enjoy that in peace.
i hope the finale is so good, they hate it more than HIMYM or GoT

To me Yockey is arguably the best writer on the show; he is the only one whose episodes I love 100%. It really annoys me that he writes so few eps (last season he only did 3) while Bucklemming gets like 5 with like 3 of them being myth arc ones. Tbh the writing would be SOOOOO much better if he got to do more episodes. Out of curiosity who is your favorite writer?:)
Yockey is great, agreed. :)
I mean, I like most of the writers for different reasons, and can appreciate their stylistic differences, you know? I’ll get to that in a second, but first I’m gonna address the writing room hierarchy for a second… because that’s why the newer writers are only getting 3 episodes each, especially in a shorter season with only 20 slots available…
Dabb, as showrunner, gets the first and last episodes, and this year also the 300th. Last year he co-wrote 13.10 with Bobo, and in s12 he also wrote 12.09, as the post-winter-hellatus episodes.
Dabb’s been around for a really long time, and I get his writing style. Writing the season premiere and season finale every season now, he’s basically setting the foundation that the rest of the season rests on, and he gets the job done.
❂So that’s a total of 3 out of 20 accounted for.
Bobo is essentially next in line, and he has been getting 4-5 episodes per season since 11. 4 in 11 (co-wrote 11.17 with Dabb), 5 in 12 (co-wrote 12.19 with Meredith Glynn), 4 in 13 (co-wrote 12.09 with Dabb). I don’t know if he’s going to have 3 or 4 episodes this season, so I’m gonna guess it will be 3 just for the purposes of estimation…
I LOVE Bobo’s writing. I LOVE that he’s still giving us such powerful Wayward-adjacent content despite the heartbreak of not getting the spinoff we all deserved.
❂So that’s a total of 6 of the 20 accounted for.
This brings me to the three newer writers on the team…
Davy Perez has given us some fantastic episodes. As far as I know, he’ll be getting three again this season. I mean, dude gave us cowboys AND tentacles… and Dean being a complete nerd for comics and horror movies, “I love you, I love all of you,” and Donna kicking ass in 13.11. How can you NOT love that?
❂So that’s a total of 9 of the 20 accounted for.
Meredith Glynn has written some of the most beautiful, heartbreaking, and hopeful character studies that we’ve ever had on this show. She gave us Cas fighting for himself and facing his issues in the Empty, she gave us Dean losing himself and finding himself, and she gave us THE FUCKING MIXTAPE. Heck. Her love for all the characters is just written in big loopy letters all over her episodes.
I don’t know if this information will change, because it’s italicized on Jess’ s14 spoiler sheet, which means it’s still unconfirmed, but Meredith is listed as having four episodes in s14… 5 & 8 are already confirmed, but she’s tentatively listed for 14 and 17, too… She did write four in 12 and 13, as well, so that seems legit. :P
❂ So that’s 13 of the 20 accounted for.
Steve Yockey. Heck he writes such rich, layered episodes. They are a meta goldmine that we could spend weeks analyzing. Isn’t it convenient we’ve got an extra week to revel in 14.06? :D He’s probably on the list for three episodes again this season, and we’re lucky to have them.
❂ So that’s 16 of the 20 accounted for.
That leaves 4 for Bucklemming… and while they have a long history of ickiness and terrible things, they aren’t entirely horrible. I mean, 14.02 got the job done. 13.22 did as well. Heck, 13.18 too. They do write to the themes, and even when they fall short of the other writers in terms of the layering and nuance and meta-level of love for the show, they’re there and they’re not going away. I try to focus on what actually matters in terms of plot advancement in their episodes, and side-eye their bizarre takes on canon and weird retcons that only seem to apply to their episodes.
(and honestly bless the other writers for all their little jabs at some of the eye-roll worthy stuff in their episodes… I am giving significant glances at all of them and sliding them all fresh baked cookies and shots of bourbon, because I see what they did there…)
But yeah, I love all the writers in general (and even try to see the good in bucklemming episodes, because I love this show enough to make the effort worth it to me…)

I like how Jody never really contradicted Dean in front of him or argued/reprimanded him. She only gently put her hand on his arm once and waited until he walked away to talk to Patience about her powers. She didn't agree with him and didn't want him giving Patience harmful advice based on such raw, recent pain, but she also knows he's going through some very serious stuff/pain right now and knew calling him out or arguing with him would not work. And is not what he needed.
Yep. Plus... I need everyone to know that Omaha, Nebraska (where Dean and Jody met up) IS A 15+ HOUR DRIVE away from Buckhead, Georgia (where Dean and Jody arrived the next day to talk to Patience and James. I mean... they had just spent 15+ hours in the car together. Does ANYONE think they sat in stony silence for 15 hours?
And then... AND THEN... Dean had to drive Jody BACK to Omaha to where she’d left her car... so AFTER THAT they had 15+ hours to talk.

LOL Bobo has experienced the issue first-hand-- letting them use their words makes things “softer,” and the solution was to let the silence between them carry the weight of unsaid things. At this point, almost ANYTHING they can say to one another will begin to “soften” things between them. Because the wall between them right now is built entirely of things unsaid that really, really need to be spoken aloud.

I know this has been pointed out in the past, but regarding the reading of the subtext in Supernatural...
Dean in 10.05, to Marie, regarding her “interpretation” of the story, specifically including “destiel” since an ENTIRE SCENE between Sam and Dean revolved around the fact that THIS was Dean’s issue with Marie’s interpretation:
DEAN : You know ? This has been educational. Seeing the story from your perspective. You keep writing, Shakespeare. MARIE : Even if it doesn't match how you see it ? DEAN : I have my version, and you have yours.
Then we have a demon two episodes later, pulling the same line, when Sam and Dean told him they already knew the whole truth... and yet he still tries to act as if “their truth” was actually the lie...
DEAN: She told us everything. SAM: Abduction, forced prostitution -- it's pretty gnarly, even for a demon. MAN: She's got her version, I've got mine. SHAYLENE: Liar.
So two episodes after fandom took that line and loads of people had decided it was a dismissal of the “fandom interpretation” of the story as “not actually what’s happening in canon,” Bobo turns the line on its head, and basically uses the exact same words to shine a spotlight on the speaker, laying plain the truth the line was attempting to conceal.
Do with this information what you will.

Watching live (at almost 3 AM my time by then) I thought Patience's Dad was kicking her out but during the rewatch I realised it's more like in Wonder Woman when Queen Hippolyta tells Diana "You know that if you choose to leave, you may never return." It only makes sense my mind supplied "Who will I be if I stay?" even the first time around. Thoughts?
Hi there! And yeah, they’re exactly the same.
Considering Bobo set up Patience to be Wonder Woman in 13.03, with her friend literally calling her Wonder Woman (when Patience catches the volleyball without even looking):
Ronson: You’re freakin' Wonder Woman. It’s such a waste.
I see what you did there, Bobo. :P

lol why is jack fascinated with walls so much 😆
Because he feels like he’s built of them. .He’s trying to break down a wall between himself and his powers for most of this episode. But he also doesn’t know how to break down the wall between himself and Dean... which that shot demonstrated nicely. Considering Jack’s main issue was his fear and worry that Dean might be right about him, and not having any context for understanding WHY.. .I think he had a nice wall-breaking moment in this episode.
Just like Dean did with a grenade launcher in 12.22 (and then again with Mary in a much more personal way in that same episode).
(Bobo are you a bit obsessed with walls, hon?)
(I mean, Sam found Jack cowering by that same wall Dean grenade launchered, no?)
