this isn't too relevant but I have to include it. it's too cute. I definitely see shisui getting married pretty young, like early 20s. if he finds his person he's going for it. probably gets a lot of shit for it from his family, but he doesn't care

loooong honeymoon period. in part because they're still a young couple but also... shisui is just a really devoted husband. he loves the married life. insists on kissing her goodbye every morning, eating together every night, stuff like that

LOVES DECORATING THEIR HOUSE are u kidding me. let's say they get a kinda shitty place right after they get married, and put a tonne of work into doing it up. he gets so into painting, building the furniture, even starts up a little herb garden in their kitchen

finds so many ways to drop his wife into conversation lol. he's down bad even after the honeymoon period ends, so he wants to show her off. his FAV is when she swings by his workplace to bring him his 'forgotten' lunch. he turns around to the rest of the guys like. yeah. that's my WIFE. isn't she hot.

very much a believer in keeping the romance alive. he wants to keep making the effort with her until the day he dies. veryyyy good at remembering anniversaries, scheduling regular date nights, etc. always makes sure she has fresh flowers in the house

obviously it isn't all perfect though. especially while they're young (and presumably both still active, high-ranking shinobi) their schedules keep them apart a lot. and this hits shisui really hard tbh. he hates coming back to an empty home after a long mission, knowing he might not even see his wife before he has to leave again

work is probably where most of their arguments stem from, actually. I don't see it being a regular thing, but it's easy for resentment to build in those kinds of situations. shisui is very torn between his love for his village, and his love for his wife, and the fact he can't prioritise both. thankfully shisui is a good communicator so they make things work.

in terms of jealousy... I don't see it being a common thing. maybe before they get married he tends towards it a bit more, but once she's his wife, why would he worry? she's his entire world and he knows she loves him just as much

the only way I rly see him getting jealous at all is if they're going through a bit of a rough patch for the reasons mentioned above. maybe they haven't seen each other in weeks, and they both get back from a mission on the same day. and there's some kind of event/function that evening that they have to attend

so they barely have a chance to acknowledge each other, before they're pulled apart again by the crowd. so if shisui sees some random guy getting a little too close and flirty with her, he gets more annoyed than he'd like to admit

even then though.. he's not necessarily jealous as much as he is upset. like goddamn just let this poor man have his beloved wife to himself for a night. in this situation he's more likely to behave more rashly than usual, and he might just make some excuses and take her home lol. he gets a little bit pouty until she gives him some attention

overall, though, he's very chill. he trusts her implicitly, and expects the same from her. they need to have a very honest, respectful relationship if he's going to wife her up

god okay and in old age they're so cute together. I bet they have a bunch of kids (probably accidentally tbh lol) so then they end up with a whole squadron of grandchildren. he's that fun grandpa who sneaks them sweets when the parents aren't looking. all the grandbabies want to sleep over at their house. and they LOVE it.

to sum up: very good husband. very relaxed, communicates well, makes her feel loved every day. why did he have to die I want to throw myself off a bridge.

first of all. good job to this woman. wrangling tobirama into marriage is not an easy job. he's so fucking ANNOYING. it probably takes him years to confess he even has feelings for her, let alone ask for her hand in marriage

but once he gets there. it's pretty cute. he doesn't really act very differently for the most part - he'd already decided his heart belonged to her well before they married, and wholly committed. so his behaviour doesn't change much, and there isn't much of a honeymoon period. sorry. he's like marriage is just a contractual agreement why would it change anything between us

he does make a few little indulgences though. he gets this smug little look every time he introduces her as his wife. he's actually just a lot more prone to 'showing her off' in general, and more likely to show some physical affection in public. for tobirama that's maybe a peck on the cheek lol. but it's progress

he's definitely a lot.... gentler?idk. with her once they're married as well. he makes an effort to be more patient and less snippy, and shows his appreciation for her in a lot of quiet little ways. for example, he'll be sure to leave work on time no matter how busy it is if he knows she's putting a lot of effort into dinner that night. or if she spends a second too long looking at a new dress in the store, he's buying it for her

on that note. tobirama is such a provider once they're married. he does have that traditional idea of providing for his wife. he'll probably ask her if she wants to become a stay at home wife tbh. if she says yes, he still expects her to get out in the community of course. he'd love if she did volunteering work, maybe at the hospital or with kids or something. but he's also equally happy for her to keep working. power couple vibes very strong

they have a nice, quiet little house away from the village where no one bothers then and they loooove it. especially tobirama, his wife and their home are his sanctuary. everyone else gtfo

other than that, not much is really different from before their marriage. they probably actually lead quite independent lives, to the point where people don't even know they're married until tobirama drops it into conversation a few months later. they're very private and lowkey.

unfortunately for her, tobirama's paranoia also persists. he's a bit delulu sometimes lol and she knows this going in. but it does inevitably cause some issues, especially if she's headstrong (which is definitely the type of woman he ends up with)

he trusts his wife more than anything. he would never doubt her for a second. but other men? the enemy. not to be trusted. they're all dogs. it drives him absolutely batshit crazy to watch them ogling her, or god forbid trying to flirt with her. which is actually kinda common bc they're such a lowkey couple, so people assume she's single

tobirama isn't one to make a scene per se, but this definitely leads to a few awkward situations in public, and she probably ends up embarrassed a few times. and there's 10000% arguments behind closed doors. I don't see either of them being good with this lol. he acts like she's his political enemy he's ridiculous

but because he loves her so much, and he actually really wants to put work into the longevity of their marriage, he'll come around. he's a lot softer and more willing to compromise when it comes to her. but she can't point that out because he's mortified

over time, he chills out a lot more. they're one of those couples that just get stronger and better with time. they grow a lot together, and although they probably continue to disagree a lot throughout their marriage, it's always in a way that leaves their relationship stronger. and he only gets softer for her. people (hashirama) even start to point out how devoted he is and he can't even deny it. cute

overall a kind of difficult husband, because he is an exceptionally difficult man, but my god he loves her so much. he would do anything to make her happy.

OKAY! Basically, I love the stupid playboy trope where your character of choice is a huge playboy (usually in college), kind of a hoe doing hoe things right. Along those lines, I love the angst where they end up going for reader cause either they’re gen interested but keep up a facade for looks or do it for a bet.

Anyways, in au, character of choice is a huge playboy. Going from person to person, hottest bitch there and knows it. They decided to set sights on the reader for one of the reasons above. Reader in this case can be like a nerd or not (for me pls be a sorta nerd- they don’t have to be quite but like they don’t usually run in the same friend group character of choice does, also for some ppl- NOT ALL NERDS ARE QUIET, they will be the loudest ppl esp with their friends). Sooo, character of choice is trying to get with the reader, being all sweet and flirty. Reader isn’t buying this bs and keeps turning them down- until the cliche where the character does something that makes the reader’s heart go dokie dokie.

They eventually start dating and eventually do the thing right- and after that character of choice kinda ghosts them. Like either they get distant, makes fun of them, and/or straight up ghost them. This spreads around and reader is crush- popular or not it’s a sucky situation (I hope no one in real life gets put in) and is stuck with that for the rest of their senior year in undergrad. Luckily, they’re not a whole outcast so some people stick up for them but character of choice just doesn’t give a fuck (or in some cases does but can’t show it cause they don’t have the balls to do so🤷). Anyways, the whole situation sticks but reader keeps pushing through, ignoring all the shit but keeps going (they also have friends cause I’m not that mean and i think I’d cry tbh).

Fast forward, they graduate their senior year of undergrad. Whatever field they’re in they plan on furthering the degree cause they’re a bad bitch like that. But a month after they graduate- the big cliche, they’re pregnant. For this troupe ofc the reader is afab but feel free to have them be gn! If you so please (as an afab genderfluid person I pray for this but ofc whatever makes you comfy).

They panic obviously unsure what to do cause- they just got in postgrad, their baby daddy is a dick, and they’re not fully ready for a kid. Time goes on and they decide to keep the child but not tell character of choice.

(Purely cause I plan to major in it, maybe they’re going into marine biology or something performing arts like Idk. Realistically you could have them go into some sort of science thing or something along with business- idk I guess I’d like to see other and different careers stuff for reader 😭)

But yea, it moves to present day which is like 6-7 years in the future. There are a couple of ways this pans out:

1. They end up getting their post grad degree or whatever and work at the same company character of choice is working. Obvi reader recognizes them but character of choice (for more angst) doesn’t or does but chooses to ignore it feeling a bit guilty. They work together and reader is VERY closed off to them, ofc still very pissed on what went down between the two. But, they still work together and character of choice kinda wants to get closer. Reader keeps putting up more walls out of fear for what happened in uni and having to reveal they have a kid with them. Yet, some crazy event happens (their parent can’t watch the kid, something happens at the kids school, whatever) and reader has to get their kid. It ends up character of choice spotting the kid and freezing cause they looks exactly like them OR have a good mix of both reader and their psychical traits (like maybe they got character of choice’s eyes or hair 🤷). Eventually, the two have to have a serious talk and reader finally admits the kid is theirs. ATP you can have it where they decide to let character choice in since the kid deserves their other parent if present (as someone raised with an absent dad and 2 shitty step dads I can see all different perspectives of the situation). And blah blah blah, the character of choice tries being a good parent and eventually does and even falls for the reader (even more maybe). 2. Reader peruses a career in field of choice (if you do follow with the marine biology idea- I’m giving you so many kisses 💋). Either cause they’re in the same field, they have an event that causes an overlap, or purely they see each other again- character of choice and reader meet. Again, character of choice can either not remember them, does remember but pretends not to out of guilt or whatever, or does remember and tries to show remorse. Reader just bushes it off and tries to get away. If you want, character of choice does try to go after reader- maybe on the edge of stalking but mainly going to their work and trying to talk to them or what not. Up to you boo. It all leads up to the same situation where the character finds out about the kid and ends up being apart of their life.

This idea came to me cause deadass finished reading a couple fanfics and needed more angst (and fluff) material. Idk why I love playboy troupes (daddy issues, trauma, being seen as special, etc) but I like when they change for the better or at least try too. Also, I just love the idea of having a family (with or without a partner cause single parents are baddies).

Epic & Cross x Reader

Cross doesn't like fighting Epic since they are pretty close but this doesn't stop him from getting competitive.

Epic, on the other hand, loves play fighting and competing with Cross! He's not aggressive about it, he just does it for fun.

Cross is usually trying to prove himself worthy of your affection in some way while Epic just likes flirting and making you laugh.

Epic is surprisingly good at flirting but often settles for making you laugh because he loves it so much.

Sometimes Epic flirts with cross too just to fuck with him lmaoo - Cross is always baffled and a mess when it happens. Its pretty funny to watch tbh.

Most people assume youre a polycule. Epic doesnt help dispel that with his flirting. I mean a poly relationship could probably work.

You will never know alone time again if you don't set those boundaries. They're both Clingy!!

Given the chance, Cross will escort you everywhere - hes like your own personal bodygaurd. (You dont know how he knows your schedule so well or how he finds you so easily when going out.)

Epic also shows up a lot. Hes usually the one initiating lunch & dinner dates between y'all. Well, its not obvious theyre dates but they basically are, lmao.

They do try to one up each other but you'll next to never see them fight. You may catch them bickering about who did better, though. Epic likes instigating and Cross can be sassy.

They may have a fight about you once. Other than that they are chill because they're so close and Epic often gets Cross to communicate.

The fight would probably be mostly on Cross. He would get mad that he fell for someone his best friend likes. He would be upset that he "couldn't have someone himself" both because he feels guilty about Epic and for personal issues (he's lost a lot). Then he'd be mad that he thought that way and felt jealous. He wouldn't like how selfish he feels. Epic talks him through it, though. And talks some sense into him :]

Cross may be quiet most of the time but he is hanging around more often than not. He's just sort of ... supervising lol. Its comforting in an odd way. He likes the quality time too.

Sometimes Epic gets you alone, though. He gets you two to do relaxing things together like a picnic or video games.

He can be surprisingly tender and romantic but he will ruin it with a joke after surprising you or flustering you with the romance so cherish the moment while you can. Good luck, too. ;P

Cross is a mixed bag. One moment he's purposely suave and dashing then the next he cant get a sentence out . Its like he has moments of clarity then goes back to being a dork.

On a few occasions they will team up on you. I don't think they would really plan it unless it was your birthday or something special like that. When they do it it's usually just an accident and their moods synced to cause chaos.

When they team up they are menaces! Epic would be all gentle and romantic with flirty, witty remarks while Cross would be the type to guide you by the small of your back, leaning in to tell you things. And you know he'd be saying stuff like he's your personal knight! "I'll always be there for you." || "if you ever need anything just come to me, I'll take care of you." And shit like that.

Augh they would have you cornered but like in a good way. Cross always behind you, making sure you're safe while Epic leads you around by the hand. I hate them. I actually love them damn it.

Sometimes they get needy and steal you away for a while. The dorks.

Epic "kidnaps" you to cuddle up somewhere and read or watch a movie. He's very touchy (respectfully) so if you're okay with it he will be all over you. He especially loves it if you act as his weighted blanket and lay on him.

Cross gets grouchy and takes you somewhere on an "adventure". Most of the time it'll be somewhere without people. If the place has rough terrain he'll likely try to convince you to let him carry you lol. "You got it?" / "you tired?" / "want help?" Any reason to be close or touching you if you'll allow it.

If you're more of a low and mellow energy person he'll set up a special spot where he sets up stuff for one of your hobbies (if he can) somewhere hidden and will hang out with you.

Stars forbid you give only one of them a gift. They won't guilt you or be mean, but they will rub it in the others face subtly. If they're the one who didnt get something then Epic would jokingly act all clingy and pouty while Cross glares at him. Speaking of, Cross would stand closer than normal and Low-key pout if he didn't get something. Like a cat who wants something from you.

If you're the more affectionate, touchy type then you're going to likely always have one of them touching you if they're around. Epic practically hangs off of you while Cross just has a hand on you somehow. They have probably scent marked you, accidentally or not. They just clingy bois.

Also - not in a kinky way - but Cross has a high chance of biting you during prolonged physical contact lol. It's just a quirk of his. Its like cuteness aggression but in a loving way. You can think of it as kisses it a way.

He wouldn't mention it if you dont but it is a good way to fluster him >:3c

As for trying to be better than each other i think they would choose some things you like and try to be "the best" at it?? Like... lets say you collect shells. Suddenly they are finding great shells - in tact and pretty - and giving them to you. Same with trinkets. Or finding weird coffee mugs if you like those.

Epic also is that bitch who has a lot of money and just sugar daddies his friends LMAOO. You want that expensive thing? Dont worry bby hes got it kcjsbsbsb. If hes crushing on you it just gets worse and more ridiculous.

Cross is the one who has dedication to getting you things. So if something is about timing or searching hard for it he's the one to go to. He also just brings you random things like a bird..?? You dont even know where he gets half the stuff he shows up with. You may even just find stuff on a table in your house randomly.

HLC ROMANCE — WHAT WE DESERVED

Ominis Gaunt — Head Empty, Thoughts

This has been requested by the lovely @tinaexe and obviously NEEDED! Like the Sebastian one, I feel like as a fellow BioWare fanatic — romance is my forte, in games! Ominis is a little harder as most will be based on what if’s, as unlike Seb, we don’t fully get a developed relationship with him in the game. (We kind of are friends at the end?) So because of this, we only truly see him expanded through Seb’s quest line.

So, let us begin at the beginning:

If you decide to be in Slytherin, you meet Ominis in the Common Room. I actually really love this interaction! I think it’s a nice way to set him up as a character, but would have loved more dialogue options — a big thing the game failed on. I understand it wasn’t their aim, but more dialogue, more choice, would make relationships develop more and make your own character feel more real. I think the only bad thing about this interaction, is that he is too sweet straight away (HERE ME OUT LOL) Ominis comes off as someone who is very picky with his friends, I would have loved to have him more indifferent here — just for a lovely enemies to lovers type thing. Think Morrigan from DAO but more tame…way more tame lmao. (This is just me, tbh it fits his character that he’s kind. I also like the idea that he’s extra kind because of how he grew up — but easily snaps if upset) If you aren’t meeting him here, it would also be DADA! I like the idea that he would make fun of Sebastian losing here, perfect opportunity for romance points — the curiosity of you beating Sebastian would win points with him for sure. Flirty-ish dialogue could be added here!

Now, I’ll do gifts first this time — mainly because we don’t really spend any time with Ominis lmao, so from here, apart from some quests like the scriptorium etc will be my interpretation! With gifts for Ominis! I like the idea of him being a sweet tooth, so the idea of being able to buy sweets from Honeydukes would have been so neat for this. (This would the small relationship point add on.) for bigger gifts, I like the idea of him being into more refined artefacts! Like interesting things you find on your journeys. Think:

Sculptures/art type stuff: x20 romance points

Flowers: x10 romance points

just for fun lmao — dark magic artefacts: -30x romance points

Unlike Seb, Ominis should be harder to romance! I stand by the idea, that he is hesitant and feels more complicated when it comes to love. Considering his upbringing, bringing down the walls is the first step! This is where more dialogue plays into part, remembering things that are brought up later — a big bonus to romance points!

Now interesting idea, re-meeting Ominis in Hogsmeade! I think with an Ominis romance for it to work alongside the plot — it would be mostly through Sebastian. (Drama for all those that love both — me everyday battling my inner demon of wishing to romance anyone else, but Alistair in DAO!) I like the idea of him interrupting your visit with Sebastian and perhaps helping alongside you and Sebastian with the troll! Would have been really neat to see more action from him. Flirty dialogue could be added, but it would be met with a flustered/confused Ominis.

This is where we linger from the quest line a bit, because well let’s be honest, Sebastian would never let Ominis know he’s taking you to the restricted section. So, this is where I kind of make it up. I think a small quest would work here with Ominis OR simply another one on one conversation. This could be where you learn a little more about him, if you picked the right dialogue OR you could upset him. I think a big part of this game would have benefited with a main character that had more choice. Even in Mass Effect you get two options, sometimes three — same with Dragon Age Inquisition, but the main character still feels more real, simply because of the choices! A quest for Ominis here, could be anything really, maybe he’s in the library and needs help with something or you find him in the DADA tower needing help etc.

Undercroft, baby! Here is the thing, I love the idea of Sebastian still taking you here — but like Sebastian’s one, Ominis should have caught you in the act! I would have loved to have him pissed off and you have to work your way out, but actually getting the chance, rather than him automatically not believing you or giving a shit. This would be the first instance of where romance points matter, if you have enough he apologises and takes it out on Sebastian, if you don’t, he takes it out on the both of you and is grumpy.

Scriptorium. This is the quest. I would feel like this is the major quest to determine whether you are locked into a romance arc with Ominis and I could even agree that this would be where you’d lock in either of the boys! I’d like to think that this quest should have had more chances to side with either boy, depending on who you wanted and what you believed. It needed more banter, comforting dialogue where you could commend Ominis for helping you both and it would have been perfect for flirty dialogue — making him all flushed and shy. This would also be where he starts to see you as something more, if you pick the right dialogue. Perfect opportunity for Ominis to take care of you when Sebastian crucio’s your ass.

Relic moment. OKAY! Here would have been so perfect to show that your romance points mattered. Imagine that depending on how you’ve interacted so far, it would determine if he would trust you or not. He was too trusting at this point, TBH. He knows how Sebastian is, not you and so this felt a little strange to me. So the idea, that at this point your romance points mattered, to determine if you had to curse him would be HUGE. Because if you had to curse him, I’d love to see it be a huge factor that he can’t be end goal. By this point, I think you also have to be completely against dark magic and Sebastian using it. This would be big points for Ominis’ romance.

Conversation about Sebastian it’s Ominis! Worried! You express what is going on, the mine situation etc. This would be where Ominis is more shy and clear with his feelings without actually telling you, if your romance points are high enough. A gift from him? A ROSE?

Solomon quest, rip. Ominis would need you to be fully on his side here. You would need to have the opportunity to support him in this and with dialogue omg I hate it. Still agree with being able to stop Sebastian, having enough romance points with Sebastian, to the point of stopping him before he does anything — would tie into if you could complete Ominis’ romance. I like the idea that they tie in together here and you had to have thought about both throughout. Ominis and Sebastian are practically brothers, so it makes sense.

THE ENDING: You could only get a good ending IF you save Sebastian, I just think it’s very fitting. If you can stop Sebastian, I feel like Ominis can really open up. If you don’t I think he would be toooo heartbroken for a romance. If you succeed, you get the kiss and hug scene and he shows his appreciation for you — thanking you for being there for him RIPP

Bonus: Winter Ball like Sebastian — only agreeing to go with you if romance points are high enough. ALSO, I like the idea of a moment to stick up for him or he sticks up for you. BECAUSE CUTE.

I might have missed stuff and more definitely could be added, but this is the basic romance plot line — that could have worked. We just needed more dialogue, more options and more quests for him!

okay so i did one of these that was just from the Nick Apostolides streams(minus the Separate Ways DLC stream(s), THOUGH I DO WANNA WATCH THAT), but now i'm going through other videos of streams and finding out even more stuff that i wanna talk about lol sooooo... PART TWO BABEY

this all is from Twitch Streamer Peralt's charity stream for JDRF UK, in which André is a guest on! it's a fun watch, i recommend the whole video tbh, André gives out a lot of useful life and acting advice and the vibe is just lots of fun. but, these posts are primarily for stuff related to Luis, which is what i'll be cataloguing!

-André considers the role of Luis to be more than just voice acting, more of just full-on acting, since he also did his motion capture, which i find very interesting. i always love hearing the BTS processes of things i enjoy and that's such a cool fact. i'm sure most people know that he did mocap for Luis already, but I like that André doesn't consider his performance as Luis very different from a regular acting role. -André took the more cheerful aspects of Luis from his own personality. He mentions that he's a relatively happy person himself, but that happiness comes from knowing darkness, and that was just something that he kind of naturally transferred over to Luis, considering Luis's backstory itself is so dark. One of the first things that drew me to Luis in this game was his goofy behavior in a terrifying situation, so i'm thankful for it! (timestamp)

-André also gives a lot of interesting BTS with pointing out the differences in acting mocap vs stage vs onscreen acting. it's not related to Luis per se outside of his relation to André, but it is SUPER fascinating, and you can tell André is really passionate about acting and it makes me appreciate his performance all the more. -When asked if there was anything from OG Luis that André took with him as character inspiration/canonicity/whatever else, he mentioned that he tried to take mostly the essence of Rino Romano's voice and mannerisms, and tried to emulate all of that without it being in "bad taste"(in reference to OG Luis being kind of gross toward women), and kind of added more quirkiness as more of his own spin on it. personally i think he did a great job; Luis is still very much a flirt, but he comes across as less of a creep and more just a harmless flirty goofball, which i think threads the needle really well for him as a character! -André picked up smoking(again) for the role of Luis! it was also how he practiced Luis's lighter trick(which he clarifies is referred to as 'lighter juggling'); every time he'd have a cig, he made it so he had to do the tricks before he could light it. One of the tricks is called "the Infinity", where you flip the lighter through your fingers in a continuous motion, and there's one where you toss the lighter in the air, and close it as you catch it. He was a smoker growing up, he had stopped, he picked up the habit again for Luis, and then threw his cigs out the second he finished his final scene as Luis. He also clarifies NOT to smoke; he is able to start and stop smoking fairly easily, but that is not the case for most people. As a former smoker myself, i agree: if you dont already smoke, don't pick it up! don't pick up vaping either please!!! (timestamp)

-not related to Luis, but André talks a bit with Peralt(the streamer) about self-defense, martial arts, and alcohol. He tells a story about how he got jumped in a bar by a drunk guy and how his background in self-defense helped there, and talks about the effects of excess alcohol consumption. i keep repeating this, but the stream is a really good one, and i highly recommend watching it yourself! -Someone asked what André thinks about the Luis and Leon shipping, and I really like his answer. He starts off by clarifying that everyone is allowed to have their headcanons, and there's nothing wrong with shipping in general, and to ship whatever you like. However, for André himself, he used the model of how he and his brother interact for how Luis interacts with Leon. He likes to goad his brother, who he describes as "a hothead" and "like Leon", and so he transferred a lot of that energy into Luis goading and teasing Leon. He played Luis as realizing that he and Leon are stuck together, and he knows Leon won't do anything to really harm Luis, so he put a lot of energy into basically razzing him like one would a sibling. He also finished by once again clarifying that people are allowed to do whatever they want in their own headcanon lol. (some people do get really upset about that stuff!) (timestamp)

-as a quick aside to the above conversation, André mentions that Luis cares SO MUCH about Ashley. When it comes to Leon, Luis is, in André's own words, "a dick to him". Ashley, to Luis, is "pure" - the one thing in the entire scenario that has no business being in this place. With Leon, Luis knows from his uptight demeanor, that he's been through hell before - this guy is stuck with him, in hell, for better or worse. But Ashley is innocent, dragged into this to be a pawn of Saddler's. So he's most concerned with Ashley's safety overall, and André tried to really push that concern and care in his performance. i think it really shows, especially in the scene after the cabin standoff, where Ashley coughs up blood and Luis immediately realizes that she's been infected, and he has to save her. -During Luis' scene in the vanilla game with Ada(not Separate Ways scenes, although i think this scene is in the dlc too?), André confirms that Luis telling Ada "you should be telling me what a good job i did" is just him trying to make up an excuse of sorts for not having the Amber on him. -André once more affirms that Luis is a cat person! He also specifically states, again, that he'd probably start off as not a pet person, but he'd probably get adopted by a stray cat, who he'd leave out food for but eventually let into his home, and that'd begin his love for cats. He also mentions that actors have to think about things like this, to flesh out their characters, which makes me wonder what other headcanons he has for Luis! (tbf tho, i've been wondering this since i watched André's unboxing of the Luis jacket he got commissioned for cosplay, and he mentioned that Luis loves spice) (timestamp)

Oh my goodness, I’ve been drawn in - I’m posting Bi Buck analysis!

I’ve seen a few posts going “Buck was into Tommy” and I agree completely. He is but I think it’s easy to have blinders on about it. And this, I shall elaborate.

When Buck is touring the helicopter station and then asks Tommy for a beer, he is definitely doing so as more than a friend. He go SO FLUSTERED when Eddie showed up just as he was being pretty brave and vulnerable (by Buck standards), like he’d been caught. And sure, he was sad AF when they got in the helicopter to go to Vegas, but that was about him failing to ask out Tommy AND his bezzie mate going off without him. He can’t even commiserate with his friend about bombing with Tommy because they’re now close friends.

After that we get jealous Buck on 2 fronts - he’s jealous Eddie is hanging out with the guy he likes, and he’s jealous the guy he likes is hanging out with his best friend and might like Eddie more than him. If you’re only looking for Buddie dynamics (which, tbh, I was), all the rest gets a bit lost. But his negative feelings towards Tommy after this are a cover, just like he did with Eddie at first.

Which brings me to my last point - yup, also 100% on the Buck will at some point soon realise his feelings for Eddie because it’s more than best buds stuff. BUT I hope Buck gets to have a really fun time with Tommy, because he seems like a great guy who clicks well as a friend to Eddie and as a love interest to Buck.

It might be a doomed love interest, but I think it’s got potential to be a reasonably healthy one. And I’m going to bring up the fact that Buck seemed to be the one to initiate this too. He’s not just gone along with something, Tommy was surprised Buck was trying to get his attention. Buck was honest about that and flirty, and was the one that closed most of the distance between them in his apartment. Which, if being drawn closer into someone’s space then saying “I want you to notice me” isn’t being genuinely into someone, maybe I’ve been out of the dating scene far too long

what do i think of the underwear?

bro, i am not happy. maybe it is because of the band on the rib brief BUT like what is happening? i am moderately small and toned, yet i look ridiculous? like why do i look like i am flooding out of the underwear? their size chart says that i would fit this size, yet i feel that it runs smaller perhaps...? i don't feel like, for my pad girlies, you could reasonably wear these on your period (the gusset, or vaginal panel, is just to thin/narrow, in my opinion, for a pad even for a brief cut - i feel like the pad will just be hanging off on the sides?). also the band on the rib brief hits every annoying place for a period - their is no space for bloating either haha (sorry this is just the high priestess girlie in me).

would i recommend skims?

no :) the price point doesn't match the quality in my opinion.

about ryn: she's here for a good time not a long time. insanely overconfident in her own abilities, very dexterous and charismatic, low wisdom and strength. was the youngest child for most of her life and still has baby sibling energy. good with kids. raised in elturel but left before the descent. was a con artist in baldur's gate before getting yoinked (she would pretend to be nobility to go to parties and steal all their valuables). i might multiclass her into warlock. flirts with everyone just for the fun of it.

shadowheart: they have a situationship going on but ryn is impatient and very flirty so she's not taking it very seriously. shadowheart might be a little too serious for her currently? though she has a silly streak that shows more later on that's really sweet. plus they're cute together.. pink gf and goth gf <33 and in the long run i think they're v balanced, shadowheart has the wisdom that ryn lacks lol

wyll: she was a con artist pretending to be a noble. he was a noble with a secret hero persona. excellent parallels!! in baldur's gate she always heard about the blade of frontiers so when she finally met him she had a bit of an instant crush. they're getting closer to one another now but in the long run i think they're both a little lacking in the wisdom department, so when the fairytale gives way to reality idk if it's that solid a match. i just think it would be funny if the con artist married the actual duke ravengard. but the duke ending has its drawbacks for other companions....... iykyk. i like his avernus ending better bc idt wylll would suit being a politician that much but ryn probs would not go :(

gale: max approval with him already somehow... ryn finds him fun to tease and also is curious about magic since she's not really a magic user herself

karlach: they're not super close yet but karlach makes her feel safe

halsin: she flirted with him at the grove party but then again she flirted with every single individual there so... it might have been the wine talking

other: minthara is alive so maybe when we get to her in act 2..? idk. and ryn is on board w/ the tadpole stuff so far so who knows re: the emperor LMAO. or! maybe she just stays single? tell me in the replies

Hi there! I wanted to ask for advice if you have time. My boyfriend and I are in a DD relationship. He makes me feel validated and safe in every way since being together. We are monogamous and both feel strongly about that. That being said, before we knew each other, he had a friend that was submissive and they had somewhat of a friends with benefits situation. She was interested in DD and he would hold her accountable for things, but they were not in a committed relationship. It was more of a fun/flirty thing.

Once we started dating, he let her know that any type of flirting and DD type of relationship they had would be ending. He told me that she fully respected that and she would never cross boundaries. Sometimes she will reach out to him if she is going through something or they’ll talk about sports or stuff like that.

Recently she made a comment to him that I found inappropriate. Tbh, if one of his guy friends made it or someone he didn’t have that type of history with in the past, it probably wouldn’t have bothered me at all. But I am a little more sensitive given their history, especially because imo, having any type of DD relationship, is a lot more emotional/intense than vanilla relationships (or can be). The fact that she goes to him when she has something rough going on in her life makes me wonder if she still looks to him like a dominant/safe person. I’m not sure if that’s appropriate now that he’s in a committed relationship.

He told her that the comment she made was inappropriate, and she profusely apologized, and said she wouldn’t cross those lines again. Now I am rethinking if this is normal that they are still friends. He told me that if I’m uncomfortable with her, then he would end their friendship completely. I don’t want to be controlling or force him to end a friendship over one comment. I’m just looking for advice from you or anyone else who has insight. I don’t know if I’m overreacting or not because I’ve never been in this situation.

Hi :) I'm not sure I really have advice on this, unfortunately. I haven't been in a situation like that before, and I think what the 'right' thing to do is, is going to depend a lot on your needs and your partners needs but also somewhat on this other person and how respectful she can be of boundaries that are set. With you saying that if some other friend had said the same thing she said, it wouldn't have bothered you...that makes me think what what she said wasn't super terrible? At the same time, I think it's reasonable to want tighter boundaries to exist between the two of them than you might expect between two friends, given that they have a history and most friends don't. Whether or not that boundary is just not being friends anymore or not is really a personal thing and would be based on whether or not they can both keep things strictly as friends and appropriate/respectful of his relationship with you. I'd assume you can't really know whether that is possible for her, but hopefully you are close enough with him to trust that he'll keep things appropriate on his side, and also to have a sense of whether he would uphold a boundary if she tried to cross the boundary now that it's been clearly set? I wonder if you can discuss with him your insecurities about this friendship, and also admit to him that you don't feel it's right to tell him he can't speak to her because of your insecurity, so you aren't really sure what is best. Explain as much as you can about the specifics of what she's done or what happens within their relationship that makes you insecure. And just see what he thinks and feels. It seems like a good thing for him to be aware of you having messy feelings about this friendship, at least. I hope you two can find a solution together. Maybe a plan for how he would handle it if anything that felt at all inappropriate was said again. :)

Hey loving your blog so far , am a new turtle just recently watched the untamed with my best friend. I'm 100% convinced they were definitely a thing during filming even now I still believe they are still together. My bestie on the other hand doesn't think they were anything more than friends. I tried my best to convince her but she thinks I falling to separate the actor's from their roles they were playing. My question to you is that do you ever sometimes think us turtles overthink too much or misinterpret what was going on between them ? Forgive my grammar English isn't my first language

Yeah, I do think turtles overthink some things. There's a lot on YouTube that falls into this category, tbh. I can see how it happens. With all the bts, it feels like its own show that we can pore over, slow down, watch from different angles, decipher the TRUTH from it to reveal that bjyxszd.

But the bts aren't scripted. While they're endlessly rewatched by us, they were one moment in time for the guys. One moment in a long, exhausting day of work. Stuff we may think of as being intentional and meaningful may just as easily be random, off-the-cuff, and ultimately meaningless. Think about jobs you've worked where you get bored and tired during a long day. If you're like me, you and a coworker/friend will start talking nonsense to each other to get through it.

One friend/coworker and I made dinosaur noises at each other between taking calls in a call center. Yeah, idgi either. And because I'm a flirty bisexual, we'd make lewd gestures and kissy faces at each other sometimes for fun. She's straight, so it wasn't serious. I am aware that this dynamic is different between guys than between girls (in the US. I can't speak to China.), so I'm not saying that what happened between gg and dd is like me and my friend. Just to show that...sometimes stuff just gets weird. I wasn't nursing a secret crush on my friend or anything. It was just random time-wasting.

So yeah, I do think some stuff is misinterpreted. As I've noted, we see very little of what was happening bts, and there was a lot going on outside of whatever was happening between gg and dd. It's inevitable that some stuff will be misinterpreted.

This is why it took a while for me to come around to bjyxszd. And I resisted HARD. I'm skeptical by nature and I'm double-skeptical of things that sound too good to be true (like that a popular BL couple was played by actors who actually fell in love and are now together).

But at the same time, I came around. It took me spending many hours reading, watching, trying to translate, etc. Even then, I had to write out a novel in tumblr posts to lay out my thoughts to establish to myself that I'm not crazy on this. Like you, I'm 100% convinced that they were an item during filming.

So I was able to get past the stuff I think is a bit of a stretch to believe in it anyway. Now, it just means I smile at the stuff that does seem meaningful to me, and leave the other stuff for those that enjoy it. I don't want to single out any particular thing that I think isn't as significant as some people think it is, bc I don't want to ruin anyone else's fun. We're all turtles so regardless of what path we took or what convinced us, we're in the same boat. There's no point squabbling over the details.

Especially with the bts, which happened years ago at this point. Odds are, even gg and dd don't remember the context of any one clip at this point. So the TRUTH is impossible to know completely. It can be frustrating if you're like me and dislike ambiguity and uncertainty, but we're all in this pit together. We just have to enjoy what we've gotten and what we continue to get.

I'll also just say, don't stress too much about convincing your friend. I know it's frustrating when you want to squee about something but your bf isn't into it, but people tend to dig in their heels when someone tries to convince them of anything. There's also no need to do so. BJYXSZD regardless of if people believe in it or not. Find some other turtles and do your squeeing with them and when with your bestie, focus on what things you do share with them.
