i do love a nice chunky background bass. this is video game music adjacent, future funk maybe? very jet set radio, very space channel 5. it’s a groovy little instrumental track that’s not technically dance music but you can bop along to.

playing okay so you know how some people (not me) meal prep? i have realized that knowing ahead of time what i want to eat for lunch is helpful, bc most of my job right now is deciding where different bits of information go. and the decision fatigue is at like eleven by the time lunch rolls around.

just as i have to literally write “walkies” on my to-do list, i have realized i literally need to prep funtimes to decompress from work. this week, this has looked like finally installing itch.io on the work pc and going through the six gigantic bundles i bought for various charitable reasons, filing things into various folders to play later.

anyway that’s how i rediscovered depanneur nocturne (which i also apparently bought on steam at some point?), which i pitched to @andmaybegayer as: a tiny cozy game about exploring a magic shop/convenience store to find a gift for your partner who is a deer.

the vibes in this one are Just Nice! a very nice little game that made me quite happy and content for the rest of the evening. the poster work on the walls was absolutely fucking baller, and your partner who is a deer and the shopkeep who is a salamander witch are delightful. not saccharine sweet like some cozy games are, where they’re quite smug about ~*being wholesome*~ and ~*self care*~. this was like a slice of life episode from an anime you half remember and will never find again.

i took screenshots but don’t want to get up and get them off my work computer so here’s one lifted from the itch.io page. not a hundred percent on the game discovery here but i know it wasn’t through work, may have just been me fucking around on steam on my own time

making wrote a double drabble about *checks notes* the two ladies from 1952′s High Noon, bc i think they should have hit da bricks and they Literally get on the same train, this shit writes itself. i have been wailing about this for several days but Why is this is first actual fic for this movie it is SUCH low hanging fruit

The Labyrinth Games - Part 1

First day of insanity, hooray! XD I suggest familiarizing yourselves with the Labyrinth arc of Inky Mystery, otherwise a lot of this won’t make sense. This simulation will be tagged as “The Labyrinth Games” if you want to avoid it in the meantime!

Cannikin, a literal ghost, getting owned by some poison X’D And how on Earth did the Night Terror shoot that? Why?! It already has enough defensive and offensive mechanisms! This is such overkill. x)

Overall, an interesting mix of main and secondary characters, powerful and rather standard capacities.

Status of the day

I’m half-surprised and half-not at who had those early kills... And most of the extremely powerful and deadly characters are still in the race :’D Are you excited for what’s yet to come? I know I am!

Kh3 spoilers Finale

Holy shit just the little things Disney characters do to KH originals are fucking hilarious. Like Jack exhaling his halitosis breath and Luxord just falling into the sea.

Also Sora giving a speech about love and hearts in a Pirates movie... QvQ

The Calypso thing never panned out. Also I don’t remember what happened in the movie so I can’t say if it followed it to a tee, lmao.

Sora fucking just killed a ship full of people. Well, technically Elizabeth and company did, BUT he was on their boat. Sora has witnessed true death.

You see, San Fransokyo is what Kingdom Hearts is all about! They had their movie time and then... IT’S ORIGINAL STUFF. WITH THE CHARACTERS INTERACTING WITH SORA, DONALD, AND GOOFY. It’s great! The map is smaller than what you’d want, but I’m so happy it’s not a rehash! Plus they pulled out the Baymax Original card?? Holy shit!

San Fransokyo was fantastic and I’m sad that Disney won’t let Squeenix stretch their wings.

Give Sora a Baymax, Hiro.

Also lol at pronunciation of Tadashi.

Axel is me and I am Axel. Or Lea. I still don’t know why he’s going by Axel, but I guess he’s just clinging onto his identity tying with Roxas and Xion. I’m like YOU FOOL Xehanort’s gonna track you if you call yourself Axel. But anyways, Axel is confused as fuck and a third wheel and is in need of some explanations.

Not that it mattered because for all the I’M GONNA FIGHT TOO SORA Kairi did, SHE DID FUCKING NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

I’m like... a mature adult. I know it’s because Nomura fucking sucks at writing female characters. But. DUDE. She’s like LET ME PROTECT YOU SORA but the entire time she was in a bind. And then kidnapped. And died. Good going, Kairi.

Where did the Terra armor come from I’m so confused. (Google is telling me there was a Nameless Star in the Final World that was Namine and I skipped over her whoops.)

I never played Union Cross so I have no idea who that kitty is.

Gotta say, the battles were fucking HYPE with the other characters. Mostly with Axel reuniting with Roxas and Xion. Actually I’m still unsure how Roxas came back, but whatever.
