Hanako Kun's Character Development (at it's Finest!) Feat. Yashiro Nene

-My mother used to say that someday we are destined to meet someone, whose going to change us, without noticing it. And this also happened to hanako kun's part. He's changing unnaware of himself.

And it's so wonderful that yashiro played the biggest role of pushing hanako kun's character development to a whole new level! And that's the best thing! Especially for a supernatural like him!

HELPING IS CARING:

Hanako kun willingly helps our hopeless romantic daikon girl fullfill her desired senpai romance. Eventhough hanako kun was obviously bad at this kind of things he still continues to help her.

And he pushes her to become independently confident to her senpai crush.

Nene asks him for information about him for a compatability horrorscope! And still he acts completely cool in this scene, he really pushes her away to her senpai crush.

MEANS HE DOESN'T FEEL ANY ROMANTIC FEELINGS TO HER YET.

Flirting is also a possible sign of, blossoming feelings?

Hanako kun does this to her a lot. As we can see here he really likes to mess with her. And flirts with her playfully! And my mom used to say, " You like to play the flirty character type and mess with his/ her feelings and you acts cool in it, and without realizing and noticing it, you are slowly falling in love, and that's the karma on it!"

Curious on dating stuff

As a supernatural boy who became a human at his past and dies early, without experience in romance, dating and stuff, it is only natural for him to become curious about dating and romance.

And what's best thing in it, as the story progresses, hanako kun eventually changes, especially when it comes to his feelings. And nene became the center of it. And he slowly learns and becomes aware what human feelings are like.

Meanwhile on future arcs....

Asks her out on a date in perfect picture arc.

Jealousy?

There was a saying, that "jealousy and love are sisters", "If you haven't felt jealousy means you haven't fallen in love at all" etc.

- Eventually yashiro gradually changes hanako's feelings, as the story continues hanako kun became aware and annoyed whenever yashiro is with kou and other guys. And he acts out to it instantly.

Level 1 jealousy: Acts cool while separating kou and yashiro. Jealousy doesn't seem to take over him this time..

Then as the story progresses hanako became rough and somewhat violent when it comes to yashiro with other guys thing.

When akane kun nearly speaks out about kou kun like yashiro, then hanako kun rushes and acts out to it instantly!This exact moment when akane kun finds out that hanako kun has a thing for yashiro.

And he will use that as an advantage later on. Akane kun is smart tho!😈 haha!

This is the moment I was talking about!😂😈

Akane kun you smart badass guy! The power of jealousy works! Akane even uses this to his advantage when Hanako is giving him a hard time about helping him rescue Aoi from the sixth mystery.

But still despite of all this hanako kun still not aware of his feelings completely, he may wonder and becomes curious in it but it's going to be a long way to go for him!

His point of view about human life:

In my opinion this was the best hanako kun's character development!

Cause I always believed that supernaturals didn't usually care about human life, for them human's are fragile and easier to kill, so why would a supernatural care for someone who was weak right?

Hanako kun was aware of yashiro's short lifespan from the very start.

He may seem to not care about human life from the beginning which led it to a fight with kou kun.

But as eventually... Hanako kun changed, because of yashiro.

In perfect picture arc. He ate up all the words he said to kou kun which is about him not caring about human life. Instead he became desperate in saving yashiro's life by letting her stay and others in a fake world.

By seeing himself alive again in that world, pushes him to have regrets and having the urge to destroy that convenient world.

But for the sake of yashiro, he endures the pain that world caused to him and Instead he hoped that convenient world was better for her. And he really did became a masochist for her, especially he will leave her on that world while he will return back to the real world. And for hanako kun's sake, that is definitely a painful one because he is aware that yashiro will forget him if she stays in that fake world but still the hope of wanting her to live drives him to not letting yashiro and others return to the real world.

And this one was the best confessions he said to her... So far

Hanako kun can be compared to a locked chest without a key. And yashiro was the key in it. She opens him and she helped him realize and learn some things that he doesn't used to know.

Anyway I think if nene asks a help to hanako kun about "Wishing Senpai crush will love her back", due to a gradually changes which yashiro caused to him,especially he gets easily jealous about other guys. I think hanako kun will definitely having a difficult time in helping her back!

I love the idea of yashiro changing him to become his better version of himself♥

Minamoto kou and Mitsuba confessions

Honestly I am concerned about this arc. It's so sad and heart warming, especially for a mitsukou stan like me.

Now for mitsukou's part. It all started when kou found him while wondering at the lockers. And kou somewhat seems to be excited while grabbing him lol

Minamoto kou's character development

-aside from meeting hanako and changes some part of his perspective about supernaturals, I think mitsuba played the main role of changing him! Because I think Minamoto's clan is somewhat violent and had a bitter side when it comes to supernaturals! And look how he so hype when he decided to help the wondering ghost which is mitsuba fullfill his unfinished business! 😃

When reading this part of manga about their arc. Im having some mixed emotions of happiness and sorrow.. Cause as the story continues on.. We all saw how close they are that instant! And so we hoped that they permanently stay that way.

Kou kun openheartedly helps mitsuba for his unfinished bussiness so he can move on to the afterlife without doubts and regrets. And hanako kun have high hopes in him on his mission. (Really hanako shouldn't put such high hopes in him cause we all know what happened next!)

Dammit! This two are so cute while interacting with each other,doing some lovey dovey fights😍 and this one of the reasons why I shipped them so much (Im not against LGBT tho)

mitsuba wishes to have someone who stays by his side, more likely a friend. And gladly minamoto kou somewhat fits his needs. Then since mitsuba likes to take a picture of everything, most likely animals etc. But on the manga mitsuba doesn't seem to fancy taking pictures of people😅 maybe because on his past life he's not in good terms with people he's most likely to be a victim of bullying, especially he had such beautiful girly face.

And I love it how minamoto kun openheartedly volunteers to be his model, and look at his face, he's showing a cute puppy dog eyes but as foul mouthed as mitsuba is, he just responded at him in an annoying way😂. Which means, he doesn't want to😅sorry kou puppy eyes wont work on him. He can do puppy eyes better than you lol🤣

Seriously I want these two to get married,😍 pls aidairo sama grants us this blessing❤

And as the story continued it turns out mitsuba is minamoto kou's long lost friend from their past!

It's kinda heartwarming with a mix of sorrow that on their past, mitsuba is the first who approached him a for a handshake of friendship.

And now mitsuba is dead the first person who approaches him was minamoto kou.❤😭.

Then they had this heartwarming moment when mitsuba asks kou if he wanted to be his friend..❤

And this is the time when he also carefully took a picture of him.

And this was the moment mitsuba finally knew what he really wants and he finally have it, someone whose willingly wants to be by his side, a friend.

And so theres a saying " a calm before a storm" tadah the storm who ruined the calm atmosphere appeared presenting tsukasa🤧

Tsukasa's experiment

Tsukasa has a thing for horrible things. He's good at it, and now I finally see why amane killed him. *cough anyway back to mitsukou post!

Tsukasa transformed mitsuba into two different kind of supernatural, which also made minamoto kun burst out of anger!

And also Im kinda thankful for tsukasa that he turned mitsuba into a 3rd mystery, cause if he doesn't mitsuba will dissapear! I just don't like about it. Is that the way of method he did just to make mitsuba's wish come true.

Anyway as stated, transforming and changing mitsuba also had a payment and that's his humanity left in his heart, his memories about his past, especially his memories of minamoto kou.

But gladly, yako somewhat explained everything, for a supernatural's side they may do some horrible things, and so on they may forget blah blah blah. But that doesn't mean that they changed. It just a lil bit of time for their memories to come back! Or simply just someone who will help them regained their memories back!

And that explains why on perfect picture arc. Their relationship Didn't changed, they still interact with each other like they used to, having love dovey fights. Nonsense talks and so on.

See? eventhough he may forget some part of himself due to transforming into a mystery, his supernatural heart never forgets❤ and simply minamoto kou being there was enough to bring his sanity back!

Detachment:

Hanako. Mitsuba

"I thought if anyone could take care of his unfinished business, sever his attachment to this shore it would be you, but it looks like it back fired.".

Mitsuba-The reason why hanako let minamoto kun help mitsuba deal with his unfinished business is for him to move on to the afterlife without regrets. But since as the story progresses, mitsuba somewhat getting more and more attached to minamoto kou and others. And that made me think how come will he rest in the afterlife while he seems to be attached on the living?!

Hanako kun- it's kind of funny that hanako is the one who said about detachment, but as the story continues he seems to be attached to when it comes to yashiro,especially he seems to be developing feelings to her, unnaware and seriously it will be definitely heartbreaking to see how the story ends, because as the story continues the story became darker and giving us some bittersweet vibes.

"Now how can hanako kun and mitsuba deal and get rid of their current attachment to a human?, so that they can move on in the afterlife?"

Seriously I noticed some parts of the mamga where everyone seems to know or aware that theres something romantic going on between our main ship on deck! hananene!

Top 1-5

1.Akane kun! - I promoted him to number one, (not because he's number one mystery,but because he really is amazingly smart when it comes to figuring out someone!)

Akane to yashiro

Akane somewhat know that yashiro had something in store for hanako kun, maybe because on the elevator arc, yashiro seems to speak a lot about hanako kun, especially when akane seems to know that yashiro did trust hanako kun a lot.

Akane to Hanako kun

When akane kun nearly speaks out about minamito kun likes yashiro which is obviously true! And hanako kun acts out to it instantly! This was the first time hanako kun acts somewhat violent when he was jealous!

And this is also the exact moment that akane kun knew that hanako kun has a thing for yashiro🤭😏

And as a smart clever bad ass guy as akane was... He used hanako's blossoming feelings towards nene as his advantage to make hanako help him rescue aoi chan!

Well, this is definitely gonna be hanako kun's greatest problem, because maybe next time someone might use his jealousy as an advantage towards him!! Like akane kun did to him!

2. Tsuchigomori sensei- he was the 5th mystery, the curator of the 4 pm books stacks arc. Since he was the one who takes care of the books of life and death. And each book records what will going to happen in the near future of that book's owner. He definitely knew what is going to happen to nene and hanako kun on the near future! And guess what. He already said a lot of times that it is impossible to change the future.

And obviously he already read whats inside of yashiro nene' book so he knew something romantic might happen to our main ship! Maybe he already knew that yashiro is undergoing character development, can be her development when it comes to her feelings towards hanako kun! 😁😆

Eventhough, our expectations about them kissing on lips didn't happen, there's nothing to be dissapointed for. Because tsuchigomori sensei already said that it is impossible to change or alter the future, so maybe this certain event of them sharing first kiss with each other may moved to another day!

3. Mitsuba- Mitsuba is the main hananene stan on the first place! Because he already knew and pointed out exactly that these two have already fallen inlove😍 and plus he did pictured out perfectly what all we want for our main ship hananene to end up! Saying I DO and GET'S MARRIED!!😍 we are all mitsuba in this!!!

4. Ao Chan!- eventhough she turned into an antagonist, and everything turned wrong for her, well she did done something right! And that is she always knew that yashiro's crush was hanako kun all along.

And maybe these following evidences from manga and anime adaptation helps aoi clearly figured out that hanako kun is yashiro's crush all along!

As follows:

Whenever yashiro was confused about hanako, she's the first person she talks about it, was ao chan her bff! (And nene was not aware that ao chan can actually see hanako, so whenever hanako kun visit her at their classroom especially sometimes hanako kun acts romantic towards her mentioning that time where hanako kun hugs her and fix her hair and turned her hair into a daikon hair artistry! Ao chan obviously saw all of it!!)

(Omg that so pretty straightforward yashiro lol😂 and we all know that thered only one ghost boy she talks about hmmmmm)

(Lol we all know that theres a certain ghost boy who loves donut so much? Right and damn another straightforward confession we had there from yashiro😍)

😏 Nene has been caught red handed by her bff. An act of lying and denying it that it was not really a certain ghost boy whom she crushes on.😏 but the truth was she does like like him😁

5.Tsukasa- tsukasa can be somewhat childish and innocent when it comes to romance and stuff. But there were some parts that he nailed it right!

Yes tsukasa, they already kissed each other back, yes tsukasa amane asks her out on a date in perfect picture arc!

6. Sumire- is a human girl somewhat whose identical to nene's bff ao chan. With same appearance and personality like ao chan. She did pointed it out that gon(given name by her) which is hanako kun knew that he is her lover in some way. Also sumire also fell inlove with a supernatural which is mystery number 6. They also represents and resembles hananenes current relationship, eventhough they are still in denial but maybe someday they can finally tell that they had already fallen inlove to anyone. Eventhough as we can see here, sumire tell nene that fallin inlove with a supernatural is a taboo we kinda see a glimpse of what will become on our hananene's future. A forbidden love. Between human and supernaturals.

Conclusion:

I think These people are those ones who will help to push them to become a couple. These people will push hanako and nene off to the cliff of love.

As we can see on the following evidences on this post, that everyone seems aware that hananene ship is a real thing! We all do!
