I'm so curious where Braius's paladin abilities come from because he doesn't need a deity to be a paladin, but his likely subclasses are Oath of the Ancients or (less likely but not out of reasonable speculation) Oath of the Watchers and neither are Asmodeus vibes, even before we knew that Asmodeus had never spoken to him.
I have mixed feelings about the idea that the Platinum Dragon never abandoned him and remained the source of his powers, not because I think he should have but because it is kind of a dick move to leave Braius twisting in the wind like that after the incident at the Platinum House (though, admittedly, sort of funny). But I also wouldn't mind seeing it play out if that were the case. I feel a very interesting theme of this campaign has been the distinction between the will of the gods vs. the will of their followers, and how those have in some cases, well, diverged since the Divergence. It would be an interesting way to explore that if so. I'm also open to Braius's powers just being from his love of art! Ancients is very much about that as well, and while I'm on the record as not caring for a godless cleric, I do love a godless paladin.
