misery - fei du, disassociating after locking himself in the bedroom where his mother hanged herself 7 years earlier (he had the house arranged to look exactly like it did the day she died) because his friend who he didn’t really like all that much but still spent time with was stabbed to death in front of him (he trained himself in the basement with emetics, electric shocks, and gory videos to react badly to blood so he wouldn’t become what his father tried raising him to be) and his situationship (the cop who investigated his mother’s death, who he is in love with but won’t sincerely say so because he’s been planning to die for a long time and is scared to get a reason to keep living beyond his revenge) left him alone there

CPR - fei du, literally 10 minutes earlier, climbing into said situationship’s lap to make out with him so he wouldn’t ask annoying questions like “are you okay?” and “don’t you usually throw up a lot after seeing blood?” and “nothing in the kitchen is expired, how often do you stay in this haunted-ass house?” and “uh, i seem to remember your dad changed the place up after your mom died, why does it look like it did back then?” and “why are you so calm about getting strangled?” and “hey, you’ve been maintaining that she was murdered for years, what do you mean you know how she died?” and “what the fuck happens in your basement??”
