#chuck palahniuk#choke#quote#this continues my theory that choke is the reprise to fight club#the idea that love and community is the answer above all#these social ills and megative feelings that people have is due to the lack of love and community that we (americans#/men) have today#a theme of fight club often forgotten#its a real problem that men struggle to forge deep meaningful connections with other people#so they do things like find a gf asap and then treat her terribly#or forge the most toxic and evil friend group (project mayhem#) and only get worse through each other#(project mayhem/alt-right pipelines#common areas#for men to find support from other men#the answer to these social problems is creating more healthy outlets for young men#building more loving environments and communities for them to feel safe in
