So, after this post, I couldn't let go of this house. I decided to rebuild it in The Sims and then I had so much info I felt the need to share it. Other than commenting on some crazy aspects of this mansion, I think it can give some input/ideas for possible scenarios in fanfiction! I know I'm so many airline inflight supervisors' worst nightmare bc I have a mohawk and my nails are never uniform compliant and I never hesitate to call out and encourage other flight attendants to call out and I never check my work email and I never pick up extra trips. However. None of that matters when on almost every flight at least one passenger tells me that I've made their traveling experience better. I know a lot of customer service employees hate customers (sometimes for good reason, sometimes just bc they hate people), but I always try to make flying (already a stressful and expensive experience for most) easier on my passengers than it otherwise might be and that energy has never failed in its return. "Our airline was voted number one in customer experience this year!" Yeah you're fucking welcome and can u believe my bleeding heart-patterned nails didn't prevent me from helping that happen?

one of my favourite of arthur's traits is that despite having a lot of the prerequisites for becoming one of those grizzly, "i don't care about anyone or at least pretend not to" - dead daughter, dead wife, quite a miserable life overall tbh - he's never characterized as such. arthur is someone who desperatley seeks out connection with people and makes no attempt to hide it. he and john would have never gotten through those first two seasons if arthur wasn't so willing to forgive john for a lot of the admittedly really awful things he said. the only time they've had a falling out that lasted longer than, like, a day, was in the prison pits. once he made up his mind to make amends with daniel he did so almost immediately. he is genuinely such an open person who seems to strive after close relationships. and he puts in the work in. which makes it hit even harder that he hardly ever gets to keep those relationships

Lrb dear god, this reminded me of that time when Alfred-chan got sooooo mad at my post explaining why fans should respect bisexual headcanons for Maria and Malenia instead of pretending like they're canonically lesbians and that they get oppressed and erased by mxf ships with them. They kept vagueing that post for like a MONTH in their blog including in tags under reblogs of Maria fanart, passively-aggressively changed their url to character+sexuality to "spite" me and then even made a sockpuppet account to start shit with me in the comments.

They deactivated when me and Val completely obliterated their "you cultivate lesbiphobic following by telling people why they should respect all sexuality headcanons instead of acting cultish or assuming their experiences and stereotypes equal canon confirmation" garbage with actual facts and logic tho but I screenshotted everything fjthfgfj (I learned to document everything the hard way after they've changed the she/they pronouns to they/they pronouns ONLY to accuse me of misgendering, so thank you for making me wiser I guess 😎). Even more vile, as they, a white person, larped as an Arab in that sockpuppet to hold even MORE "privilege" against me in discussion gjtjfh Because for them race, gender or sexuality are just badges of honor and dishonor, they don't see these as traits of actual human beings. And Dr Eugene X, who worked with them and weaponized her race to accuse everyone who disagreed with her of racism, didn't bat an eye at such a terrible act too?? As usual, rules are not for their friends, lol

It is not even the worst thing Alfred did, and yet all of this just, just, JUST because I wrote a point on why bisexual headcanon people did nothing wrong and there is no ground to claim something is canon when it isn't. 🤦‍♂️ Like, they were soooo convinced that I hated lesbian headcanons and that I'd feel angry if they called Lady Maria a lesbian, when what I was angry at is this exact toxic behavior in the fandom. No matter how much you like a headcanon, don't be a bitch about it. Maria doesn't """belong""" to any gender or sexuality, she belongs to anyone who likes her and is invested in her complexity as a character!!!

Yet, apparently, common Malenia simps / Finlay shippers are no better than common Maria simps / Mariadeline shippers. saw a post about Mustard Red that inspired this but one of my favorite aspects of fatt that emerges from their overall collaborative philosphy and their game-switching/multiple games in the same setting is that certain NPCs that are either former PCs or were at one point played by a non-Austin player really carry that with them forever. like, gucci existed before the MB kingdom game, but she’ll forever have the sort of self-conscious brusqueness of a Janine character. likewise, kenneth marion culver is forever shaped by the specific way keith portrayed him in the first r2pal intro he appeared in. i just love how the non-GM players manage to leave their fingerprints all over these weird little guys
