Magnemite has no pronouns. You can safely refer to it as it/its.

Feel free to interpret MAGNEMITE's posts however you'd like! I'm a sucker for vagueposting on Rotomblr
MAGNEMITE speaks in all caps. Honest
I once read a bit of an AO3 fic with a Magneton as the main character I think I may get back to that

Pokémon Legends Arceus Retained Memories Headcanons
TW: Depictions of PTSD
• So we all know that the protagonist is post Daimond/Pearl/Platinum Dawn/Lucas (whichever you picked), so why doesn't it feel like that. It honestly feels like they've lost their memories like Ingo did, but that's clearly not the case as proven by their dialogue choices, so here's a few headcanons I made where MC remembers everything.
• Upon meeting certain characters, MC will tense up as if ready for battle. These characters would include Laventon(upon noticing the golden G on his lab coat), Cyllene, Arezu, and Coin. Likewise, they would have an overall positive reaction to Rei/Akari, Kamado, Volo, Mei, and Cogita.
• Upon finding space time rift Pokémon, excluding Sneasel and Weavile, MC makes their own Pokedex entries, which Laventon studies with the type of glee only a researcher can show.
Magnemite: The magnets at its sides are used to feed off of the electricity contained within a metal unit. The advancement of technology in this creature's time makes Pokémon like this much more common.
Magneton: As a Magnemite grows in strength, so to does its magnetism, often times causing it to link with other Magnemite forming Magneton. The increased magnetism has also increased this Pokémon's core temperature significantly. Direct physical contact is ill-advised.
Magnezone: Exposure to Hisui's central mountain's magnetic field has caused the three Magnemites' bodies to meld into one Manezone. Using its magnetic waves, it is capable of a form of echolocation similar to Zubat's. How magnetic waves are capable of this is difficult to explain, but if one ever finds a Magnezone in the wild, it is best to take cover and wait for it to pass.
Porygon: An artificial being created by future technology. Calling this thing a life form seems rather extreme, as all studies have shown it has no will of its own, only having just enough of a mind to receive and execute a command. No mind to think and no will to break.
Porygon 2: After receiving an Up-grade, Porygon has gained intelligence and emotions. While still having no signs of life such as a heartbeat, it is now more than the mindless tool it started as.
Porygon Z: A faulty upgrade has made its way into Porygon's mind. This Pokémon is erratic and unstable in its behavior and movements. Those kept in Pokéballs seem to be tame enough. If you encounter one in the wild, however, RUN.
Fossil Pokémon (Proffesor Laventon does a good enough job, this is more of just a side note.): This Pokémon was brought back to life using futuristic technology.
• Knowing the truth behind Sinnoh (Palkia and Dialga), they find the feud between the clans frustrating and stupid for different reasons than everybody else
• When the sky turns red, I think this would cause MC to go into a full panic attack, because they know what's happening, they know how to stop it, but they don't know how to reach the lake guardians considering they're sealed off.
• Volo is surprised when they mention Giratina. He's even more surprised when they say their Giratina saved them.
• I feel like Volo's betrayal would have more or less the same impact.

Hey again, sorry I'm not posting for my lack of posts. My switch stopped working, so I had to get a new one and a myriad of information is no long readily available to me, but this popped in my mind, and I just had to write it. I might add more to this later, but at the moment I can't think of anything that doesn't pertain to the story. Anyway, I know I've said this countless times already, but it bears repeating for those who need it, feel free to use this if it inspired you in any way.

Surfin' Seas and Discoveries! - Team Objective plays Pokemon Emerald

Sorry about no pic last time Iris. We'll make it up to you, little guide!

Wally's father gave me Surf! I wonder what fantastic object pokemon we could find by surfing the seas on Hoenn...

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooare you kidding me.
Well, shoot. We're gonna need an HM user. The only other option would be getting Bulwark extremely overleveled.

This is a beach ball. We're going to float around on a beach ball. Yes.

I've made my way over to Mauville, to figure out where to go next, and Wattson has informed me of an aBANDONED FACILITY? That he, the electric leader, RAN?
That does sound promising indeed. Very well, Wattson. I'll solve your little problem, for pointing me in this direction.

Childish. Simple. Amateur.
(She scribbles "Team Objective FTW!" on the sign.)

Anyway, here's New Mauville! It was under the Cycling Road the whole time, it seems. Let's venture inside!

Oh...the electricity singes the air! The crackle of still running machinery...We won't be finding any sparky dogs or rabbits down here, no, It must be the pokemon I've waited so long to come across...

...
Perfection.
Stupendous. Glorious. Absolute joy.
Look at that cute singular little dot eye. The magnets and screws that emerge from it for no discernible reason.
Magnemite is perfect. So much so, that feel motivated to seek out the pinnacle of perfection. Let this little one go about their way. I will keep looking...

I know your tricks, "pokeball"...

"it's just a pokeball with eyes!" And is that so wrong? Welcome to the team, Voltorb!

Neutral nature with Static, nice! With surf unlocked, 'Splodey will come in very handy. Now, we just need its kantonian sibling...
Is it weird to call this one in particular 'Splodey when at least three other pokemon I have can currently explode?

Oh my god.
OH MY GOD.
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Patricia, I knew your Magnet Pull would reap us rewards someday...

Oof, it's giving us a beating! Magneton STRONG! Magneton POWERFUL! Magneton ONE OF US!

"it's just three Magnemite stuck together"-and is that so wrong. That's just triple the perfection! Magneton is perfect and there isn't a thing I'd change about it.
(...Ignore that, technically, it can still change. I don't think there's a way to do that in this region.)
I shall name you MAXIMUM.

We have shut down the generator (hopefully that doesn't affect the electric types negatively), but like...did we have to? This is the perfect spot for Team Objective's TRUE Lair!
Oh well. The Thunderbolt TM is appreciated, Wattson, but I'm going to need more of these.
For now, though, I think some decisions have to be made.

With the three new pokemon I've caught, my established team of six suddenly doesn't have room for everyone, and with that...I think some changes have to be made. We have to decide on who to bring forward, and who gets left behind.
I've already put a lot of thought into this...and here's my decision.

Given how much water we're going to be sunken into soon, leaving either of the electric types behind would be silly. Levitate pokemon are extremely important for my very ground-weak team, so all three of them are coming along. Plus, I want to see what potential Baltoy and Koffing have. My starter Graveler, StepStone, is mandatory.
That mean we're leaving behind...Patricia, Goo Goo, and Bulwark.

I may be the only one who thinks Nosepass is cute, but it really is. Patricia, you've come in handy in multiple big battles so far, and you brought us Maximum. Sorry to say they're replacing you. I wish I could have met you sooner. Here, let me snap a pic to send to Roxanne.
Maybe you'll join the team again, someday?

This does sting a bit, Goo Goo. You're still so far from your potential...but, we have to make decisions. You came in handy when it came to the battle against my father. Take a nice rest, you cute little slime.

Bulwark...we caught you right after StepStone. You're basically the second starter, and the only one of two team members for our first badge that felt truly earned.. As underpowered as you may be, your skills were key to defeating Dad...he just couldn't resist going for counter while you mud-slapped Slaking in the face. Perhaps, though, this is for the best. I'm not so sure about how I feel about you becoming a Kaiju. This way, you stay a little cute collection of metal scraps forever.
And with that, we have the team. StepStone the Graveler, Skybomb the Koffing, Sungaze the Solrock, Iris the Baltoy, 'Splodey the Voltorb, and Maximum the Magneton.
...I have a lot of S names. Uh-well, it's because S is Objectively the best letter! Yes!

With that all out of the way, let's take to the sea and go exploring!

!!! Here's that sunken ship I spotted earlier, back when we first came through here! What secrets lie aboard...

Nothing. This place doesn't even have pokemon in it.
Feh.

Well hey, at least 'Splodey evolved! Look at that smirk!
Let's keep surfing, along past Dewford. Perhaps there's something else in that part of the sea...huh? Iris is reacting to something! Does this mean what I think it means?

This is the same rock formation we saw in the desert! That CAN'T be a coincidence. I see no way inside, so we'll have to mark this down for later. SOMETHING interesting must be sealed within.

Coming back to you in Mauville! I explored the ocean all around the parts of Hoenn I'd visited before, but there was nothing else interesting. That means the only way to go next is east, which will we do so in the next update! In the interim I will be uh, working, to get some powerful moves from the Game Corner. Until next time-team Objective, because Object Pokemon are OBJECTIVELY the best!
Team: StepStone the Graveler (F) Skybomb the Koffing (F) Sungaze the Solrock Iris the Baltoy 'Splodey the Electrode Maximum the Magneton

Hello there!! ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ I noticed you had a.. Meloetta? I'm really curious about them! Do you have any interesting facts or information about what they're like?
Sorry if this is a question you can't answer! I just couldn't help myself (ᵕ—ᴗ—)
Oh! It's okay, I get thousands of questions about Melody. She's genderless but we did the little thing where you make your pokemon (like Magnemite and such) pick the little gender cards. Apparently she's agender, uses she/her pronouns ^_^
Uhm, she's really ...I can't say anything besides hype, but other than that she's pretty mellow(Etta) when she's not cheering or singing. She's very loyal and protective and loves to come on stage during my shows - she enjoys the limelight, to be honest.
I've also found she's very picky. She'll eat anything, but if we get something plated in gold leaf, that's her favorite. I suppose it's my fault for spoiling her, but she loves golden Pokepuffs, hehe.
She gets along well with other Mon and is a strong battler but rarely has to come out.

Which of your Pokemon….
👽 has the weirdest origin story?
(i'm being late to the party i know. Also sorry if this was asked before, i don't feel like going through the backlog to check :3)
@koffing-time
Squirt has a pretty funny story behind her. Many years ago during my first run of the Brooklet Hill trial I accidentally fell into the water with my backpack on. After thrashing around a bit and crawling out my backpack felt a lot heavier than before, which I thought was just all the water weighing it down now. Lana was nice enough to let me go dry off before retrying and an hour or so later I realized I should check to make sure the stuff in my bag wasn't all ruined.
When I opened it a bubble shot out at my face and drenched me a second time. Turns out a little dewpider had crawled into my backpack and was stuffing all my pokeballs in her bubble. After a little tussle to get her out I battled her with Mercury (who was still a magnemite at the time) and caught her! She helped me finish the trial and now she's a giant araquanid that still loves shooting bubbles at me lol

heya! I'm the anon that posted that wanderer!reader drabble, and I'm glad you liked it so much! and while I'm here, I decided to bless you with a continuation for that I had in my mind for a while! enjoy!
You weren't exactly sure what to make of the whole thing. Ingo was holding you so close and so tight, that it could either be described the world's lightest yet hardest hug, or the exact opposite. As much as you wanted to wake Ingo up to tell him to put your hands off of you, you came to a conclusion:
"Ah, right. People like comfort." It was no surprise, really. You cuddled the same way with magnemite and arcanine, and it almost felt the same way it did for Ingo right now.
Obviously, there was no time to waste. You had a big day in front of you. Luckily, Ingo's hold on you was easy to get out of, since his arms weren't all too troublesome to get out of. Unfortunately, Ingo quickly noticed that you were gone, and woke up pretty fast. He looked a bit groggy, but relatively okay.
"Ah.. Good morning, passenger. I see that you've had a good night's rest! It's always important to refuel your train before departing from the main station!"
".. Yeah."
You understood.. none of that. You just assumed that it was related to those "train" things Ingo mentioned yesterday, since it looked like the most logical answer.
"So, what's our schedule for today, my dear passenger?"
"Hmm.. Let's see." You pulled a relatively large map, covering more or less a major part of Hisui. It had many marks and spots dotted and written on it, mainly for places that were safe or unsafe to be in. Ingo was rather astounded by your dedication, too. He knew you were a wanderer, but keeping so many clear destinations close to the memory and heart made him a bit jealous. In a place like this, it's important to keep track of everything, it seems. If only he was this organized..
"We're currently in the Crimson Mirelands, and the pearl settlement is in the Alabaster Icelands. It's not *too* far from here, but it will take us a few good hours on foot."
"Oh, we can always get your Arcanine to take us there, can we? It shouldn't be too much of a hassle-" Arcanine quickly growled as it heard Ingo *dear* to make that suggestion. He wasn't wrong, though.
Arcanine was strong, perfectly capable of carrying you, and another person if that were the case. The only issue is that it didn't trust Ingo in the slightest, which certainly made things less good.
"Woah, easy now, Arc. He was only suggesting that as an idea." You quickly calmed down the Legendary Pokemon before it did anything reckless.
"Sorry, Ingo.. Arcanine probably doesn't trust you to ride on it's back yet. I'd recommend sticking to on-foot walking for now."
Ingo, on the other hand, was completely silent during the whole ordeal. The way you calmed down such a dangerous looking beast with soft reassurances alone was magical, if not adorable. He cracked a small smile before tipping his hat.
"Ah, no w-worries, passenger! I wasn't all too threatened by the growls, but I appreciate it nonetheless!" Wait, why was he stuttering? It wasn't too cold out, you thought. Eh, probably best to leave that behind.
"Alright, I think it's time we get a move on. I want to get there before dawn, and I'm NOT taking my chances with any Mismagiuses again. We have enough supply that *should* last for the way if we split it wisely, so that's one obstacle out of the way."
Ingo only silently nodded, but that was because his heart was just beating so hard at the moment. You spoke with such clearance, such conviction, and such authority that he could almost confuse you for a train operator yourself. You really are something else, he thought. Nonetheless, he walked on with you.
The way was pretty quiet, believe it or not. Besides the occasional tussles from Pokemon in the nearby trees or grass, not a single word was uttered between the two of you. Luckily, Ingo was here to change that.
"So, uh, passenger.. I believe it's time I ask you for your name! I've been you until now, and I can't seem to even know that detail."
Oh. Right. You never really mentioned your name to him. You only assumed that he will be gone pretty quickly, so it wouldn't be necessary. You were wrong, it seems.
"Just call me Y/N."
"Alright! You see, Y/N, I am rather.. conflicted by our destination! How can you trust those 'pearl' individuals so easily? They could be sabotagers for all we can know, only planning to steer you off the course and make you crash!"
As much as you wanted to argue with him about that, you quickly remembered that you didn't exactly fill Ingo on just *who* the pearl clan are. Big mistake on your part, if anything. For him, they sounded like a heap of unnecessary trouble. But if that's the case, why did he go along with you?
"Oh, don't worry yourself. I actually had a few run-ins with the pearl gang. They are kindhearted people who only really want to help others and spread the word of their "Sinnoh Almighty" or whatever. Hell, even their leader, Lady Irida, told me that it's fine if I brought anyone who needed help to them. As long as you don't try to argue with them, you'll be fine."
Ingo raised a finger when you finished talking, but quickly lowered it. You made your point, and nothing Ingo was going to say would convince you to NOT go there in order to get him some proper help. He wasn't even sure why he was so against it himself. Did he not fully trust them enough? Did he only want you to not leave him? Maybe, maybe.
As you continued walking, the weather began turning cold. You both were in the Icelands, Ingo knew that for certain. And that fact hurt him. Not because he hated the cold, it's because he was never gonna see you again once this was over. You had to stay, even if for one more moment! Ingo was getting rosy cheeks just from the thoughts alone, and he did his hardest to keep them to himself. But one look at him and you already knew.
This man is gonna stick around, whether you liked it or not.
Yesssss this is so exciting!! What’s gonna happen next? Will you turn the story on its head? Or will you follow canon events despite Ingo’s attachment to the wanderer??
Ahhh you don’t have to continue but if you do I’m gonna gobble it up so fast!!! Thank you for writing me more stuff!! I love it!!!!

[Video ID: Someone running up the floating platforms leading up to Mt. Battle, giving chase to the Lousy Four.
"I...I think we lost her, Boss..." Munkidori wheezes telepathically.
"Please don't make this more annoying than it needs to be." someone says from behind the camera.
"NYAAH!! W-whaddaya WANT with us, lady?! I thought we both hated da hat guy!" Pecharunts yelps as he and his friends slowly back away.
"It's simple. I realized this plan was never feasible from the beginning. If he can defeat you so easily...Matt's lookalike friend is likely capable of similar feats." the person behind the camera muses.
"Wh...What are you sayin', see?" Pecharunt asks.
"I'm saying you'll be dead weight." the person behind the camera says. "I can't allow anyone to interfere with my goals. I've seen enough. Having you four dragging me down will guarantee disaster."
"Wh...Gah, I should have known! You was workin' wit da hat guy da whole time!" Pecharunt growls.
"Quite the opposite. He's too strong for you to have any realistic chance of beating him...If he'll accompany him as I predict, you serve no further purpose to me." the video-taker continues. "W...Well, we's still da ones wit' da mochified Pokemon...YOU's da one who ain't gonna stand a chance against US!" Okidogi says. "The ones you specifically forced to listen to me instead. That was part of our agreement, yes?" the voice says, interrupting Okidogi.
"...Oh." Okidogi mutters sheepishly.
"Y-yeah, but it ain't like YOU'RE keepin' your end of your bargain either, see?!" Pecharunt stammers.
"Boss, I told you trustin' dat lady so much was a bad idea-" Munkidori attempts to whisper telepathically.
"S-shaddap!" Pecharunt snaps back.
"W-we can get outta your hair for good, yeah...If you don't need us no more, we can leave!" Munkidori splutters, backing up slightly.
"I can't have that...As I said, I will ensure there are no threats to my work. Loose ends like you four are too much of a liability to ignore." the person behind the camera continues.
A Magneton enveloped by a shadowy aura splits into three Magnemite, each one's eyes glowing red, yellow and blue. They fire red, yellow and blue beams at Okidogi before recombining, knocking him onto one leg before falling, almost causing everyone else to fall off the platform.
Okidogi slowly staggers back to his feet in pain, but Pecharunt pulls a Super Potion out of the holes in his shell and cracks it over Okidogi's skull like an egg, restoring his vitality as its contents douse him.
"I'll handle dis lunkhead, Boss! You try an' escape with the othe-" Fezandipiti says, spreading his wings wide.
However, a Raichu tackles him coated in yet another shadowy aura. Fezandipiti catches the Raichu with his wings for a split second before getting slammed down onto the platform, slightly knocking everyone else off-balance as he does so.
Pecharunt floats around erratically, panicking, before hastily throwing an Oran Berry onto Fezandipiti's face from his shell holes, allowing him to shakily get back into the air as it splatters all over his beak and feathers.
The camera slowly starts to veer to the right, floating up and away from the battle.
"You sorry excuse for a...Get back here." the person behind the camera hisses, causing the camera to move back to its original position.
"We's gonna make you pay for trickin' Boss like 'dat!" Munkidori yells, charging up an orb of purple ooze at the end of his chain. He attempts to fire it, but it's almost effortlessly punched out of the air by an Infernape coated in a shadowy aura.
"Please. Trying to survive is futile. I have exactly what I needed...I have no more need for any of you. " the video-taker scoffs.
"Y-you..." Pecharunt whimpers.
"...This ends now." the person behind the camera says.
The Infernape charges up a massive fireball over its head, dotted with streaks of a shadowy energy. It throws the fireball, then charges, cloaking itself with the fireball as it tackles the Lousy Four.
Okidogi attempts to take the brunt of the hit, but his bulky body crashes into everyone else and causes them to all topple over the edge. Just in time, however, he grabs back onto the platform with one paw, the rest of his friends clinging desperately to his tail and legs. An Ampharos, coated in the same shadowy aura, then brutally stomps on Okidogi's paw, forcing him to lose his grip.
"UWAAAAAGHH!!" the Lousy Four telepathically howl in unison as they plummet towards the earth.
The camera lingers on the scene for a bit, looking at the spot where the Lousy Four were punted off the platform as someone's footsteps can be heard moving away behind it.
"...I won't repeat myself again. Come here." the person behind the camera says.
After a brief pause, the video then cuts out.]

I'm bored on my day off, so, might as well get started.
First, to get it out of the way, might as well talk about the rules I set for myself for roster inclusions. I'm a fan of a lot of things, and if I just add every character I want it'd be insanity, so I set limits for myself, for if anyone sees my ramblings and gets an idea in their head.
The rules for roster inclusion are as follows. If a character violates more than a few of these, they aren't getting considered.
The character must have originated from a video game original franchise. If the video game in question is an adaptation of a given work, it must be originally distinctive enough from the original work to be considered entirely different works (imagine asking a five-year old what The Red Badge of Courage is when talking about Codename: Steam) This discounts things like American McGee's Alice, because it is still loosely adapted from the original novel, and all of the characters are still present and still go through the motions of the novel (the queen of hearts is still Alice's nemesis, the cheshire cat is still an unreliable guide, mysterious, and vaguely threatening, yet nonhostile outright, etc) This also discounts superhero game adaptations, even ones distinct from the film franchises. Spiderman could believably have an adventure like Spiderman PS5 in the Spiderman comics. Spiderman.
Addendum: The game or franchise in question must also not be entirely composed of exploitative practices like gambling, loot boxes, or gacha. They need at least half of the games in its history that does not have even a trace of these elements to qualify. Overwatch doesn't get a peek in, as popular as that is. I have zero interest in promoting corrupt business practices in a game I hold as dear as Smash Bros. Yes I know Nintendo isn't a bastian of customer appreciation either, but let's keep what little we DO have
The character must have a distinctive body type with all of these traits
They must have legs, and be capable of ambulation as a primary means of locomotion (no floaty fellas, no birds, no friend shapes, and yes Mewtwo floats but he's perfectly capable of walking with them gams). If they have multiple legs, they must be capable of standing bipedal at least some of the time without effort or upright in some capacity when idle. No spines to the sky (Sorry Rapidash)
They must have a functioning "arm" that is capable of grabbing and manipulating an object with a mechanism like the Ray Gun or rationally wind up and swing the Home Run Bat. Gotta have tickle sticks or at least have a history of doing this without them being visible, like Animal Crossing villagers (sorry Nosepass)
They must be capable of "falling" in some capacity, amd be affected by gravity (without just being knocked unconscious) even if capable of flight, no floating outright or continued levitation or flying (sorry Magnemite) They must be able to take to the air from being grounded with some effort. If they can move in three dimensions freely (as in, not even like, deliberately activating their floating power thay wasn't active previously) that's a no go.
The character in question must have a degree of physicality in their home game to realistically derive a moveset from without making things up wholesale. The Night Guard from FNAF sits on his fat ass all night, he's not whacking Jiggs with his flashlight. Otherwise this is fanfiction, which I encourage but that's not what *my* ramblings are (or are they? I guess???) Yes, Cap and by extension F-Zero is grandfathered into this rule, because he was around when the rules were fast and loose and not set (he was almost going against James Bond in 64 because Goldeneye was such a success for the Nintendo 64 ffs)
In the event that a character has met all of these criteria, and belong to a franchise with a large (over 50) roster of characters, all of whom are viable by meeting the same criteria, they must be extremely important or otherwise representative to the canon, meta, or fanon of multiple games in the franchise in question, either directly, with multiple appearances, through lore, or in the meta sense of fan recognition (Cloud Strife for Final Fantasy as the fan favorite, Simon Belmont for Castlevania for being the FIRST Belmont, Sub-Zero as one of the mascots and key characters of Mortal Kombat) This rule weighs heavier than preceeding ones. This is to limit franchises like Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem from dominating the roster.
The character in question helps present a "nutshell" of their franchise with their inclusion. This rule weighs stronger than the others, and can supersede not meeting other criteria if this one is met to a satifying enough degree. What this means is that their inclusion in their franchise is noteworthy, but more noteworthy would their absence. That is the qualifier for this rule. Starter pokemon for instance may not be fan favorites or fully bipedal, but adding any grass type starter pokemon would help a newcomer understand what to expect if they were to try out a pokemon game. If a pokemon game didn't have a grass type starter, that would be included under a trivia tab for the game. Someone would make a note of it. What this means is someone like Rowlet has a greater chance of getting in than say Gastly.
And that's it so far. I may have to return to this post and update the list, and this is mostly to justify an exclusion more than anything else.
Honorable mentions, not necessarily a requirement for inclusion, but something that elevates a character's chances of getting in if the above conditions are already met:
The character in question is an iconic, recognizable part of the franchise
The character in question represents either an entirely new gameplay concept or visual aesthetic Smash has seen thus far
The character or franchise is important in some positive capacity to gaming media and gaming history as a whole
So there's the list. I made these rules back in the Smash 4 days when I really started to write this stuff down. However, you may note, that all of those physicality and recognizability requirements I set specifically so that I wouldn't allow myself to just include every pokemon I liked so that I wouldn't unfairly represent the franchises I liked, are specifically violated in recent memory by this mf right here:

..................
So now I guess all mf bets are off huh Sakurai
The rules will stay, solely to limit myself, but a lot of this stuff is still kind of outdated, because it's one game older than current discussion, but I have adapted to make them work as I see it in Smash Ultimate and beyond.

Yes I was stationed there for about four days, it was less of a "this is your new post" and more of a (pardon my language) "dear Arceus everything has gone to shit, send every ranger in the area". I'm assuming you've seen Mill Bros. Factory over in I think it was Fall City? Anyway when I was being transferred to Almia HQ, it was still running making electronics and such. Well they had, had problems with magnemite and Magneton getting into the building and trying to suck up all the power from the machines. Usually wasn't too bad, just needed a worker or sometimes if it was bad a ranger to move them somewhere else. However the reason I got called in was there was some sort of outbreak and a few hundred mangemite, ton, and some voltorb and electrode swarmed the factory. Everyone was evacuated and the rangers alerted. It honestly wasn't two bad except for the electrodes, that was a little scary. It was more the aftermath that was tough, three days of taking a mangemite, looking it over for injury or any oddities. If none were spotted mark their back with a blue stamp and send it off to be relocated, if it was injured it got the redstamp and was taken to recieve treatment. From what I remember the damages caused by the voltorb and electrode were the reason the factory got shut down. Holy Mew that was a tangent I am sorry. Also about the academy, that was in Almia I forgot that it was the same one. Best wishes to you as well. -- Ranger Sveppir
Hello!
Thank you again for the Cran Berries. I wanted to share a favorite recipe in kind. While I was born and raised in Fiore, my mother was from Alola, and brought her love of big malasadas with her. But living in Fiore, she started experimenting with more local ingredients. Attached is a recipe for one of my favorites- a big malasada with a Lyra forest mixed-berry filling. Since a recipe can't be eaten directly, I've also included a dried nut and seed mix popular in the Sekra range. It preserves well and I always find it handy on long trips as a ranger. I hope you enjoy!
--Ranger Lark
Thank you Lark, I can't wait to try both of these. It has been a long time since I was in Fiore. How long have you been a ranger if you don't mind me asking? Also did they ever build that ranger academy? I know it was very touch and go for a long time so it wouldn't surprise me if the whole thing got scrapped. Anyway I am rambling, thank you so much. Stay safe in the field.

There's a lot you could probably criticize about pmd rescue team but for me the biggest sin is that they didn't do more with magnemite
#like they're only important until you get their friend area and then they never#come into focus again#and that makes me sad!!!!#like even if you choose to not bring them into dungeons#you could still have them play more role into the story#like in gti#also: you can never recruit caterpie from the square and that's sad#like I get that he's a child but he could grow up over the course of the main and after story#so he can eventually join!!!! since he wanted to join when he grew up#I'm sorry its just that if you introduce characters that play a role for a certain part#of the story#but then have them never be important again and can even dispose of them later#(since you can say farewell to magnemite after recruiting them)#it doesn't sit well with me!!!!#they did this to absol too#my posts

Made some Magnemite pops with moving pieces! 🧲⚡
I'm so pumped that making moveable pieces for my Magnemite actually worked! I struggled trying to take pics and videos to do it justice (sorry for this truly awful first attempt at stop motion 🙈), but just look at the little guy go!

Inside was Oreo and chocolate ganache filling, dipped and decorated with chocolate, candy melts, luster dust, and some Pocky to help make the moving pieces more stable.

💛 Magnetons 💛
Sorry I've been slow with updates, I've been nursing a halfway emerged wisdom tooth 😅 My friend had the idea of a bunch of Magnetons getting stuck to eachother ( since Magnemite evolves by sticking together ) and he asked me if I'd draw it and I thought the idea was too cute not to do ^×^
( also dont worry I'm currently workin on yalls requests <3 I've just been really sore and tired lately 😅 )

Hey, everyone! Owl here! Sorry for my radio silence but it's been a busy few months around here.
I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that Axew and I are heading to Paldea! We'll be studying at Uva Academy for a semester!
I've never had a proper school experience, so this will be interesting!
I'm leaving Magnemite and Porygon here in Galar since Paldea has such heavy restrictions on what Pokémon are allowed in.
Maybe I can convince my dad to post updates from them if you guys want.
For now, though, I gotta finish packing!
I'll post something once I'm settled in.

Characters of Snowpiercer & their Pokémon partners:
-
Melanie: Metagross and Eevee (Mel needs something steep-type since she's an engineer, but seeing as she's posing as hospitality she also has an Eevee that hangs out with Ruth's. It evolves into Glaceon because ice-type).
Layton: Lucario (has those strong fighter-leader vibes).
Ruth: Eevee (female, evolves into Umbreon, has an insane rivalry with Kevin's Eevee)
Josie: Pidgeotto (idk the vibes work, and it can also mega-evolve to fit Josie's arc of being biologically enhanced by the Headwoods)
Miles: Pikachu (yeah, cliché, but tell me they're not perfect partners. That's right, you can't, because they are).
Winnie: Cubone (for those who know its lore I'm so sorry. For those who don't, Cubone basically wears the skull of its dead mother and wails all the time. You're welcome).
LJ: Purrloin (prim and proper but also nasty af kitty. It's a male and she names him Snowpeter like her actual cat in the show).
Zarah: Ditto (NO LOOK I PROMISE THIS ISN'T A DISS, Zarah is super adaptable and able to survive so what better partner for her than the Pokémon that can mimic anyone/thing and thus camouflage itself perfectly everywhere?)
Till: Mightyena (woof woof police doggo)
Osweiler: Houndour (woof woof police doggo but a little spicy)
Jinju: Vaporeon (they swim in the aquarium together)
Roche: Arcanine (big spicy woof woof police doggo. Not my fault all police officers in the Pokémon anime have these as their partners 😭)
Audrey: Delcatty (fancy pretty Pokémon that can also fight yes? Yes).
Boki: Aggron (I mean just look at it. It's perfect for him. The vibes are the exact same).
Ben: Magnemite (these funky lil dudes are one of my faves and an engineer should have an electric/steel type with them at all times).
Javi: Bronzor (clever metal plate boi for our clever engineer).
Alex: Zorua (mischievous little pupper, also in one of the movies the baby Zorua lost its mom, so. They reunited in the end tho so hoping it'll be the same for Mel and Alex).
Wilford: Ninetales (look at that fancy motherfucker. Need I say more? Plus it's canine enough. And ofc he names her Jupiter).
Kevin: Eevee (male, evolves into Espeon, has an insane rivalry with Ruth's Eevee)
Strong Boy: Cutiefly (I'm a sucker for huge masculine macho guys having real cute and dainty Pokémon ok. Also it's the only Alola Pokémon that I actually love. Ok fine Rowlett too but still).
Pike: Wartortle
Murray: Charmeleon
Z-Wreck: Ivysaur (each of Layton's original three group members having one of the first generation starters does it for me ok).
Amelia: Beautifly (best butterfly Pokémon).
Mr. Headwood: Nidorino
Mrs. Headwood: Nidorina (Nidorina and Nidorino are counterparts and they're part poison-type which ties in with the Headwoods being mad scientists, they can help with anaesthesia and stuff).
Icy Bob: Glalie (big angry ice ball that's not so bad if you look closely! Ideally, mega-evolved Glalie since it ties in with the fact that Icy Bob himself is biologically enhanced).
This is mostly a byproduct of me being exhausted, running on too little sleep and too much anxiety so, you're welcome, also @onetrainsnowpiercer I included explanations since you said you weren't familiar with Pokémon at all, hope this helped 🥰

Sorry ive been dormant lately, haven't had the spare energy to write theories in the midst of writing literary analysis essays (essentially the same as theory but with additional formatting nonsense) but lately in my off time ive been playing Pokemon Silver on the virtual console and having a lot of fun with it. Decided to do a few things weird in this run cause i didn't feel like team building, basically the rules are:
Only use gift Pokemon
Completely blind run, no using walkthroughs or looking for what trainers have what Pokemon
This has led to some fun shenanigans so far because i picked Chikorita. Classically what stater you pick is more personal preference ans less gameplay benefit, and though in some games some are better than others i have never played a Pokemon where theres an obvious "correct choice". The correct choice was Cyndaquil, most everything early or late game could be blown through no issue with a fire type Pokemon. I suppose Vulpix could also be aquired early game but I made my dumb rules and i decided to stick to em. I manage to brute force my way through most gyms, picking up a Togepi, Eevee, and Spearow along the way. By the fourth gym my Chikorita has fully evolved into Meganium. All is well and good, i make my way over to Olivine city and the gym leader send me on a drug store run over to Cianwood city to help this sick pokemon. I think "yeah sure that's doable" and then stand at the edge of the water for a while, baffled, because i have somehow managed to not have a singular pokemon that can learn surf. I contemplate my options for a while, and make a minor addendum to rule one.
Only use gift Pokemon *in battle*
I then bike all the way over to route 32 and gently scoop a wooper up out of the grass. He is level 6. I attempt to name him Jonathan because i have been thinking about Bram Stoker's Dracula lately, however it is late and a misclick causes me to hit end before i mean to. The wooper is named Jonat.
I rarely feel any strong attachment to Pokemon in earlier games, because they feel 2 dimensional when compared with those in later instalments, but i become very attached to Jonat, perhaps because of his dumb little name or perhaps because of his dumb little face, who's to say. Jonat serves one purpose, he knows surf, and that is it. He is perhaps the most beloved hm slave i have ever had.
With the acquisition of Jonat i am able to make my way to Cianwood, where i beat the gym, aquire the medicine, and obtain a shuckle named Shuckie, i then return to Olivine.
Now the first red flag with Olivine's gym is that there's no other trainers, only Jasmine the gym leader. The second red flag is that she is a steel type trainer. I foolishly think "oh this will be easy" because i am used to having at least one fire type. It is not easy.
Her Magnemite goes down fine, but then she sends out Steelix who, for lack of a better phrasing, sweeps my team.

I find myself saying, not for the first time, "should've picked Cyndaquil". I find myself texting my friends in distress saying "Jonat is in danger". I consider simply reloading the save.
I send out Jonat and select Surf, it is his move, his singular function. I know he will not have the speed to use it, but in this despairing moment it feels correct.
I text my friends "I feel like a monster for letting this happen."

Jonat did not deserve this. He was my special little guy, a Pokemon never meant to be used in battle, and I have led him here. The Steelix uses Iron Tail and Jonat goes down, I feel absolutely horrible for what I've done. This moment is the most intense emotion i have ever felt from something that happened in a Pokemon game. I am still thinking about how to make it up to Jonat, how to tell him I'm sorry. I feel so bad for letting this happen.
