in short: no. while i have no aversion to to that sort of thing, and often actually enjoy it, i keep this blog SFW. the intention behind my art is to be SFW even when it might be skirting the line. in general, and especially, specifically with mlp, i do not wish to have NSFW interactions on the internet. please respect this boundary.

Thanks to all of my followers and people who see and enjoy my postings. I have always tried to respond to personal messages sent to me and avoid public postings or replies like this.

Recently I got a very nice note from one of you that I was trying to reply to and was cut off by character limits. Somehow the message got lost and I cannot reply directly to you but I will address your questions and concerns and thank you so much.

Recently I have gotten several complaints/rants from anonymous about posting AI. They never give which posting they are concerned about and frankly it is starting to piss me off to the point of considering closing my inbox, through which I have developed good friendships over the 15 or so years I have been on tumblr.

AI is an interesting new form of expression and I agree completely that it should be indentified as what it is. I try and when I find out I have been faked I remove posts or amend them. So please send me any images that your are concerned about and I will respond privately.

The nice person who contacted me talked about the baby platypus which of course is a toy, I gave a similar one to my grand-daughter. I assumed it was obvious, same with technicolor birds. That said the majority of the concerns I have received to date were infact about verifiably real animals or clearly art.

Many things being called AI are digital art which of course is a different thing completely. What is art? Is a photo-montage art? Is painting art? Is leaving a small hand made structure in a gutter art. None are real life. For me art is a form of expression and interpretation of our inner and outer worlds. My own personal art consists of words, sounds, photos, hand made paints, clay, found objects, whatever. I think it is arrogant, ignorant and irrelevant to question someone's art unless they are trying to benefit from intentional misrepresentation.

Currently I am doing paintings that are my version of Australian indigenous people style dot paintings. I am constructing 3 dimensional pieces with ultaviolet light reflective materials including paints I make myself. Some hang from the ceiling. They are displayed in a room which is lined with blacklights. Unfortunately it is impossible to present them online in anything other than video format.

Since I joined tumblr I have had a completely separate blog for my personal artworks and writing, a few of which make it here. I never give out the name of that tumblr.

My first and primary tumblr is ymutate. Mutant Distractions was an early spinoff but entirely different than it is now. Other blogs under this moniker are Mutant Whatnots and RUKnowhere amongst others. In the past ymutate was primary and had other stuff that has since become the focus of other blogs. I have been redefining the focus of each tumblr to be more specific. As I have stated in a previous post my intention has always been to keep track of things that interest me and share content from other platforms that I do not find here. I make an effort to verify anything that is in my mind questionable but that is difficult. So few people identify sources and/or the specifics of their posts. I do not post anything which I dislike. I avoid violence though sometimes paintings or animal photos may contain it. I try to be thought provoking, educating and amusing. That's what art does for me.

Please personal message me with any questions you have. I am considering making my blogs private if I continued to get annymous and useless spam complaints. It is unlikely I will even read anons again but I will not exclude you from mail just yet.

ymutate has always tried to provide entertainment. Legitimately people complain of me over posting but I can do whatever I want, these are personal blogs for all of the wonderful people on tumblr. I follow 1500 people and have thousand of followers (I never cared about numbers) but if I do follow you it is because I like what you offer and do not assume that because do not reblog your postings it is because I don't like them.

Many of you have changed my life for the better and enriched the lives of countless others.

I get that, but I really don't care about numbers as some form of dick measuring contest. I'll try to explain:

I feel he deserves to get big numbers because that is what he'd inevitably get (what he's always gotten) if they didn't sabotage him. I don't want him to be given what Jungkook has, I just want them to stop messing with him, to stop hindering him from reaching his full potential. His artistry deserves to be known and loved by the world.

I just want the people who've always underestimated him and talked about him like the dirt under their shoe to be humbled. It drives me insane that the one member who's solely responsible for how Jimin is hated now and the current dynamic he has with his fandom, is getting the kind of success that has always rightfully always belonged to Jimin, through fraudulent means.

It drives me insane that the member who has always benefited the most from narratives constructed by the company and perpetuated by the fandom, narratives that have always been toxic for Jimin, is just getting what he wants out of life, having a smooth-sailing solo career.

Has Jimin not been mistreated enough in order for him to thrive all these years? From Jimin not being given vocal lessons compared to him being given absolutely everything, even being sent overseas to be trained to become a better dancer, to him being painted as this perfect, insanely talented artist while Jimin is made out to be flawed in every way.

There's always been a direct contrast to the kind of treatment both of them received, from the company and the members, to the fandom.

I'm honestly so tired of it all. It makes me resentful towards life. I don't understand how it can be so unfair. I really can't take this

Yes, it's insanely unfair. And I want everything for Jimin you want. So many of us do.

I prefer not to talk about shipping on my blog, but damn I hate the way that narrative hurts Jimin most of all. I mean, the things people say about Jimin are beyond shocking and cruel. How he survives it I don't know. And why Jungkook never tells his rabid fans to knock it off, I also don't know. He strikes me as a coward, but maybe it simply has to do with contractual limitations and obligations. BH has never done anything to discourage shipping (in any pairing), and why would they when it keeps up engagement? And now they're going for a full on cash grab with the travel show + merchandise.

You feel like you're going insane because you're being gaslit mostly by the company, but now by JJKs, too. It's been going on for years, but it used to be more subtle than it is now. That company has been gaslighting Jimin since day 1.

So, you have three choices:

Walk away from all things BTS/Jimin/HYBE. A clean break. This is a guaranteed cure to gaslighting.

Reconnect with your sanity by finding like-minded people who see through the madness and recognize reality. Tumblr is where it's at! Try to limit your exposure to the gaslighting as much as possible. Block JK-related words on X. I mute essentially anyone who mentions Jungkook.

Do nothing and continue to go crazy. Go insane to stay sane?!?

The music industry might just be the most unfair one on earth. Talent and hard work do not guarantee success. Record labels can and do sabotage artists on a regular basis. It's not just Jimin. I want to tell you that it's all going to work out, but I can't. I don't know. I hope it will. I think there are signs that Jimin will leave BH, but I don't want to get your or my hopes up too much.

I don’t usually drop threads but when I do, I will let you know beforehand. This should also apply for you as well, communication is key here.

04. Smut is always a yes if you’re a very close friend or mutual, but if we just met, then smut will be a “maybe” at the most. It kills my mood to write if I feel as though my partner isn’t returning as much excitement into a thread as I am.

hi! i'll go down the questions in a numbered list for easy formatting :)

"what makes a good wc/dc photo, what elements have to be there?" this is a really complicated question tbh! "good" is subjective of course and while that might not be what you're looking for, i think it's worth keeping in mind that i'm just one stranger on the internet -- plenty of edits that are/were loved on r/weirdcore or weirdcord are ones that i felt were underwhelming or even straight up not wc at all. that being said, i think a basic understanding of the fundamentals is a good idea for at least starting out, but don't let it limit you! the main like core tenets of weirdcore visuals are low quality (mostly via jpg compression but you can also use blurring, sharpening, and other effects to help embolden this for various purposes) and an older-web, less-polished/"corporate" feel to the images. plenty of wc images have super complicated visual effects, elaborately constructed menus, 3d models and renders -- which at least for the time looked futuristic -- but the visual glue that holds them together is that the presentation is less sleek and polished so that it gives off more of a 2000s era visual style. @mkr-2002 and @etherealascend are probably the editors that i think best illustrate the "more complex concept" end of this scale, making such elaborate digital collages that still retain the overall feel and look of the rest of the "genre" if you will. this answer is too long already but i'd say look around the big blogs, r/weirdcore and weirdcord if you want to join because they have the best understanding of it visually. OH and there is the aesthetics wiki page as well, but i don't know how up to date it is.

"are the word messages in the images just put there for effect, or do they relate to real life?" this is subjective, but i try to mix the two! some are very personal, some are completely made up. this goes for the sillier edits and for the more serious ones. i know some people view heavier, darker, "vent-ier" edits to be walking dangerously on the line between wc and traumacore, but it's really up to you to decide how you want to use the captions in that way. i'd personally be wary of using really common captions and tropes as they tend to make edits feel less unique overall, but even then some edits make them work! as with all art, the rules are a lot less concrete and more so guidelines you interact with before learning to break them.

Hello!! Ekko here (owner). I’m just here to share some fact about ourselves, currently so the future audience (AKA, you!) can know us better :).

I, Ekko founded this indie studio with some friends that offered to do voluntary work here.

I was inspired back when I was 15 to make my own animation studio because of GLITCH studios. (Love their work)

I’m new to all of this so please keep that in mind. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

The employees of TS (Toaster Studios) are doing work for free and not many are on the team (like 7 ppl so far). We plan to have a way the community can support us so we can hire new people in and start paying current employees one day!

Please read the logs for the complete saga of context if you want to delve into any lore or roleplay asks. If you don't want to read the entire thing, here's a short summary (that will be updated as I go): -> Wandering Mind is an Iterator who was activated extremely close to the global-ascension. His administrators never got back to him about the state of his can, but he was still able to provide services to his denizens before they left. -> After a while of being "useless", he finally snapped and attempted the genome shuffle procedure to override the taboos keeping himself from completing his own construction. (similar to what Five Pebbles was doing before he was interrupted by Looks to the Moon.) -> The procedure was successful, but an explosion happened due to some faulty automatic processes that caused his eventual, chaotic collapse. -> Minds remained connected to his can, however, and woke up with most of his functionality retained. Additionally, communication links are still usable, albeit quite damaged.

My name is Sam, and I am the creator of this Semi-selective roleplay account. My pronouns are he / him. I ask that you use that when referring to me. I am 21 years old, and have been writing for over nine years now. I am very passionate about the multiple fandoms I am apart of and am eager to learn more about them to better portray my muses. This is a multi-muse account, you can expect to see a post regarding each muse’s information soon! (Please be patient as this account is under heavy construction)

I write in a 3rd person literate novella style. While my responses may vary from time to time, I will try to keep my replies at least 3 paragraphs long. Please Keep in mind that my replies will vary on how busy I am that day, and how much I am given. Just try your best and have fun!

2. Absolutely no God-modding

I will not under any circumstances use my muse nor my writing to force upon a decision or action against your own. I only ask only for the same amount of respect. If there is something you wish to incorporate in the story I would prefer to be contacted outside of writing to figure out a way to interject it into the plot.

3. I will not tolerate any hate speech or bullying.

Out of respect for both of us, I would ask that we keep both politics and religion to ourselves. Especially so if wanting to use it to harm me or any other user of this platform. Unless explicitly left between muses or as a plot device. Which would’ve been given the ‘okay’ to do so beforehand. However, slurs of any kind will NOT be tolerated inside or outside of roleplay.

4. Please be respectful.

I ask that you return the same amount of respect I give you. If one of us feels uncomfortable with certain topics, we will respect boundaries such as these to keep writing fun for the both of us. After all, roleplay is meant as a fun pastime let’s try to keep it that way! :)

5. Please notify me if you will be unable to continue a roleplay, or If you will take longer than 2 weeks to reply.

This is rather self-explanatory. There is no need to notify me that you may be a bit late to reply, or if you are unable to reply within the next few days. We both have a life outside of writing after all! That being said, if at any point you loose muse for the roleplay or decide it is no longer fun please notify me! Maybe we could work something out to fix the issue.

6. I will not write SA or R*pe of any kind.

This is one heavy topic I will never write. Similarly I never want to see or involve it in any roleplay I am in. If at any time there is a mention of S*xual assault within the roleplay it will lead to a reminder.. If it happens more than once I will no longer be writing with you. This topic makes me incredibly uncomfortable, so please try to understand. I will show you the same respect when avoiding any triggers of your own. :)

7. Please no one sentence replies.

I understand everyone’s muse may fluctuate and similarly might the time you can devote to writing. However, I put effort into what I write and have taken time to better my understanding of the lore regarding the universe our characters are apart of. While I do not expect the length of my replies to be matched, I ask that you give me at least 2 paragraphs. So I can give you a reply I am proud of.

-an avid adventurer as in canon, and often enjoys the journey even if said journey is riddled with thorny bushes metaphorical and literal.

-this Benny can control his "field of misfortune" to some degree, and can hold back some of his bad luck at the cost of it coming back to bite him later. (Aka multiplying the likelihood of something bad happening after lessening that likelihood earlier on).

-Is prepared for as much as he can be without some kind of cartoon hammerspace for circumstances that may appear. (Bandages, food, etc are likely on him, but you'll not find- say- the exact amount of mora or magical rocks needed for something on his person. He's prepared, not omnipotent or That Lucky).
