what are some of the reasons you love Paul so much??

Hello anon!

I was going to give a sort of joke answer to this but I figured I'll be serious for once in my life.

I really love Paul because I admire him for a lot of things. I think his dedication to music, his family, and to causes he really cares about is very admirable. Not like other celebrities aren't dedicated to things like this, but there's something that feels genuine about Paul and his sincerity comes out a lot in interviews. One of my favorite Paul interviews is this one idk the vibes are really cute with this interview. If I feel really down, I can put this on and feel much better. He's also just a cheeky bastard, and can be really mischievous and hilarious.

Also his love for Linda is something that has reinstated my ideas of true love and soul mates. Like not to get sappy but like the way he attempts to keep her memory alive to this day its just WAAAAAA!!! It makes my cold dead heart beat just a little. I mean just LOOK AT THEM ANON!!

Also, he just has a song for every mood. Like his songs are relatable and I also like how some of his songs feature mundane topics that whenever he writes them, it feels like the most amazing thing on earth.

Also I did cry in my car one night listening to "Warm and Beautiful" and I haven't been the same since.

I also think the guy is a literal musical genius but also humble at the same time. Like a lot of stuff we take for granted in popular music is stuff he and the Beatles did first and it's just remarkable! He's also not afraid to branch out and do things that people would find odd for musicians of his caliber like Broad Street, Rupert and the Frog Song, and the Liverpool Oratorio. I just think it's cool he branches out and did all sorts of genres, and like even his worst songs are better than most musician's entire discographies.

Artur and Lute had made something of a routine at this point. Nearly every night they would meet in her tent and talk about anything and everything. Lute always had something to talk about, whether it be a new spell or an interesting part of a book she was reading, and Artur was more than happy to listen.

However, tonight was different. Lute was lacking her usual enthusiasm, and Artur couldn’t help but notice the bags under her eyes.

“Lute, are you feeling alright? You look as if you haven’t slept in days…” he asked.

It took Lute a few seconds to even process that Artur was talking to her, and she hurriedly tried (and failed) to wipe the tiredness out of her eyes.

“Hm? Oh! No, it’s just… I’ve been having trouble falling asleep lately.” she admitted.

Artur wasn’t exactly suprised at that. They were in the middle of a war, after all. That couldn’t be good for the nerves.

“That’s… not good.” Artur hummed. “Is there… something I can do to help?”

“I don’t think s-“ Lute started, before a flash of inspiration struck her. “Stay right there!” she ordered and she hurried over to her bedroll, searching around for… something.

Artur wasn’t sure what to expect as she pulled out a book, the copy of Lux Aeterna he had lended her, to be exact.

“Here!” She quickly pushed the book into his hands, and looked at Artur expectantly. “You can read this to me!”

It took Artur longer than he cared to admit to process this. “You want me to… read to you?”

“Yes!” Lute nodded. “It’s just… well… your voice is… nice to listen to, and.. I thought that it would maybe help me fall asleep…”Lute’s voice practically became a whisper, and Artur couldn’t help but notice the redness on her cheeks as she spoke.

Ah. That explained a few things.

“W-well…” Artur stammered. “If you really think it would help, I’d be happy to!”

Lute immediatly perked up upon hearing that, and said a quick ‘thank you’ as she scooched next to him.

Artur flipped to a random page and began reading.

“The practice of utilizing Light magic in battle can be traced back to some of the first battles in the war that sealed the Demon King away. In the-“

He stopped mid-sentence once he felt something fall against him.

“Lute?”

One glance towards his shoulder gave him all the answers he needed. Lute was already fast asleep, fully leaning onto Artur’s shoulder. She must’ve been more tired than he realized.

He couldn’t help but smile at her sleeping form, glad that she was finally getting the rest she deserved.

Artur slowly picked up Lute and carried her over to her bedroll, carefully setting her down on it. Just as he turned to leave and go back to his own tent, however, he felt Lute’s hand grab the sleeve of his robe.

He could hear Lute sleepily muttering something, but he couldn’t quite make out what. He tried moving again and she let out a slightly more annoyed-sounding mumble as her grip on his sleeve tightened. She was clearly not planning on letting Artur leave.

He let out a small, defeated sigh as he crawled into bed with her. The second Artur was laying next to her, Lute quickly wrapped her arms around him, letting out out a small, satisfied hum.

As he laid next to the love of his life, staring at the starry sky barely visible through the tent above, Artur couldn’t help but feel that things would turn out alright.
