Chapter 1: Copycat
The FBI Behavioral analysis unit was buzzing with anticipation. Agent Jack Crawford was introducing trainee's to some of the saff saying they'll be working on a few cases but that wasn't what the buzz was about. Jack had requested some help from an FBI informant and today she was coming in. His boss had assigned an informant Jack wasn't particularly fond of. Y/n L/n . She was a former CIA Trained Assassin released from her job under confidential circumstances. She was called in to consult on The Chesapeake Ripper case. A conference room with a giant bulletin board with the murder photos on it and a map of the location. The trainees were whispering to each other when loud heels sounded against the linoleum floors. They looked in the hall and saw the ex-CIA agent. Y/n walked into the room and was greeted by Z, Katz, and Will.
"Miss me?" She smirked. Two years ago Y/n had come to assist on a case and it ended with the Unsub being put away and her being in the hospital. Jack came into the room and looked at Y/n. The only acknowledgement she got was a nod. Y/n looked at Will, "I don't believe we have properly met. I'm Y/n I assume you are the Will Graham I've heard so much about?"
"Not pleasant things I assume."
"Just that you can think like them, that's the only thing I care about," She held out her hand but he didn't shake it, "Sorry I forgot you don't feel comfortable being social. I'll try to keep that in mind and if anything I do bother you just tell me." Y/n turned to see Jack and Zeller having the same expression, "Problem?"
"Yeah," He sat at the table, "ex-assassin. Classified discharge. What information could you offer?" Zeller asked and Y/n smirked. She looked at the board then Zeller as she walked over to the table silently.
"Mr. Graham here can think like them but me? Dr. Zeller," She leaned over the table to get in his face, "I can kill like them." She stood up again, "Now let's get this over with." She looked at the board and took one of the images off of it. The pattern was different ever so slightly changed, "This one is different. Why is it up here?"
"Surgically removed organs."
"Mr. Graham, thoughts."
"I objected but they were convinced." Y/n nodded and pulled another board in with Copycat written above it, "Jack don't object. Mr. Graham, any others you had an objection to?" Will walked up to the board and handed her three other pictures. Y/n looked at them and put them on the board, "You take out the incorrect pieces of the equation and you can solve it. As for this copycat, we need to take care of him before we take care of the real thing?" She turned to look at them, "Mr. Graham, the theory?"
"He hates women. These are all prostitutes," Will said and the group started going over information. Will had left around 6:30 and no one really noticed. Y/n was standing there looking at the board they had thrown together as her thoughts started to run through her head. She was torn from her thoughts of the copycat when her phone beeped. She grabbed it quickly in case it was an emergency nearly tripping over her shoes that she took off at some point.
REMINDER: Visit Dr.HL at 8pm
She looked at the board and took a picture of the board and saved it to her gallery. She picked up her shoes before leaving without even looking up. She got in her car and put in the address of her friend's office. She rolled down the window and blared her music. It went from disney songs to metal to classical music. She got out of her car and ran inside.
Her friend Doctor Hannibal Leter had met her 4 years ago before she left her CIA job. Y/n had originally gone to him for a psych evaluation. Hannibal was the first and only person Y/n had shared information about how she came to be part of the CIA and information about her family with. After several sessions Hannibal and Y/n had become friends and agreed upon him no longer being her psychiatrist. As she walked up the stairs she was in the hall about to go into the waiting room as Will came in the hall. She froze when she realized he came out of Hannibal's Office.
"Hello," Hannibal said upon seeing her and Will looked at her then Hannibal.
"Hello Y/n," Will said, "Why are you here?"
"Uh?" she didn't want anyone to know why she left the CIA and decided to come up with a quick lie, "Uh? I came to the wrong building, I think."
"Well, this is Doctor Lecter. He works with us on the ripper case," Will said and Y/n politely nodded. Hannibal held out his hand and Y/n mimicke their first meeting, "Perhaps he can help with the copycat."

Herding The Calf
PAIRING: Hannibal Lecter x F!Reader
UNIVERSE: Hannibal (NBC)
WORDS: 1.1k
WARNING: Sorry if this is a little fast-paced and choppy. I feel like my writing is shit today!
SUMMARY/PROMPT: From a lovely Anon: may I ask for a hannibalxreader? id like Hannibal to try to kidnap reader after stalking them for months (as he is interested in the reader and wants to get closer to them, but the only way he thinks he can make the reader care for him is to make them rely on him for all support, therefore he holds them hostage) but the reader is a good fighter and ends up hurting him pretty good, though he eventually knocks them out and the reader is held hostage in his basement and isn't necessarily afraid, just more aggravated because they're bored and want to do something and every time he visits them they ask for stuff to ease their boredom and what have you I want you to take artistic liberty over this as it is pretty much a summary prompt, just have fun if you write this lol have a nice day!

A mess of monkeys was pounding on a steel door with ball-peen hammers. Neon lights flashed on and off fast enough to send any epileptic into a seizure. Looking around, you let out a slight moan. The last thing you remember was getting ready to leave Hannibal's house before your face met the floor. Rubbing your head, you look around.
"You have got to be fuckin' kidding me?" You mutter. Taking in your surroundings, you see a toilet with a privacy wall, a bed that of which you woke up on, a sink, and a stand-up shower... and that's it. "He just couldn't take the hint." You shake your head. You try screaming, but nothing was coming of it. Chances are, this basement was soundproof. You try to walk around but, there is no luck whatsoever; here is a glass wall separating you from the rest of the basement. "GOD DAMN IT! HANNIBAL! WHAT THE FUCK?!" you yell. Frustrated.
He makes his way downstairs and takes a seat in front of your... cell. He sits down, looking at you, wiping his lip from the blood you had caused, clocking him a good one in the jaw. "You're a good fighter, Y/N, you got me good, may have even fractured a few ribs... but, you lost, I'm afraid. I wish you would have just listened, given it a chance." He stated.
"Well, Hannibal, you screwed the pooch on that one now, didn't ya? Couldn't you just take the hint? I wasn't interested. You stalked me! For MONTHS! Yet you always managed to have a god damn alibi when I tried to get the police involved. You need help Hannibal." You told him. Looking over his face, rather proud of yourself. Though you thought a moment, you wanted your money back on those damn self-defense classes.
Hannibal wanted you to need him, to rely on him. This was the only other option. When you left his care, he was insistent that you needed to stay, but you felt like you didn't need him anymore, you were feeling better, you felt like you had accomplished in your mental strength. That, and he was getting far too involved; hence you started putting more distance.
Looking at him, you rubbed your face shaking your head. "Hannibal, just let me go. I won't get the police involved- just- let me go. Please."
He stands up and looks at you. "I will bring you dinner and something to drink." He walks away.
"DAMN IT!" You bang on the glass, angry, and rightfully so. You begin to pace. There's nothing to do, nothing to read, he took your phone. You sigh; sitting on the bed, you put your head in your hands and close your eyes, trying to figure out ways to get out of this.
Day in and day out, you pace, growing bored, growing more frustrated, growing more aggravated and agitated. Looking at the wall, your back facing the glass wall, you sigh. Hannibal comes downstairs and takes a seat in front of the window wall.
"Hello, Y/N. How are you feeling?"
"Annoyed, bored, agitated, fuckin Christ Hannibal, a book, art supplies, something. I can't just sit here, pace and sleep. I need substance in my life, and you're not providing that." You state, facing away from him.
"I can give you books. What else?"
"To be let go."
"I will bring you some books. We will discuss some art supplies later."
You've gone through all six books he had brought down to you, Gone With the Wind, Pride and the Prejudice, The Great Gatsby, To Kill A Mocking Bird, Little Women, and Wuthering Heights. Sighing you had lost track of time, your sleep schedule was likely off, and your eating habits were off, you were losing weight, at least you showered, and he had given you a razor, knowing that you wouldn't harm yourself, so at least you could keep up on your shaving. He gave you clean clothes every day. To some, this wasn't so bad, but to you, it was starting to wear on you.
One night Hannibal had decided to sit in the dark you had no idea he was there. You had gone to sleep. Tossing and turning, cold sweats, you start dreaming.
You're stuck in a cage, hanging above a crowd of people, but there's something wrong with these people; they're sick, ill, bleeding from their eyes, noses, and ears. They're trying to get to you, trying to claw at you, not eat you, but they want to kill you. You see Hannibal in the distance, and you start screaming for him. Your voice goes horse. You begin to panic a little more; you're thrashing about in bed. You shoot up and gasp for breath. "HANNIBAL!" you scream.
Standing up, he walks over to the wall looking at you. "Are you okay Y/N?"
"I had the worst dream. People were trying to claw at me, trying to kill me. They were bleeding from their eyes, noses, and ears... I was in a cage, hanging above them, they started to climb the cage, and you were in the distance. I tried calling for you, but I woke up. It was horrifying." You wrap your arms around your knees and look up at him. "Hannibal, please, let me go. Please." You start to cry.
Tilting his head, he looks at you and shakes his head. "I'm afraid I cannot do that." He turns and leaves.
After a few days, he has brought you some high-quality art supplies, canvas, paints, brushes. You had gotten back in touch with your artistic side, and it was honestly a nice feeling. He would come down and watch you, observe you, and you had grown to like his company. Each day you two would talk a little longer, get to know each other a little better. You two would even have art time together and eat dinners together. He kept you in this glass box, and as time went on, you had grown accustomed to it. He had even given you a cat to keep you company. Things were changing in you.
Over time, you had liked the idea of being with him; it was this feeling of calm over you when you saw him. It was like everything was going to be okay. Fleeing wasn't a thought, not so much anymore- at least. He sits there and looks at you. "Good afternoon, Y/N. How are you feeling?"
"Hannibal, I would like to see the outside. Would you accompany me?"
He smiles and looks over your face. Tilting his head, he looks deep into your eyes and unlocks the door, takes your hand, and brings you out back. The sun hits your face you smile. Looking up at him, you smile again. "What a lovely day." you smile. And your wheels start turning surveying the area, but there was this tiny bit that stopped you; if you ran, and he caught you, your next capture, you could be the next meal.

Has it ever occurred to you that people are... allowed to enjoy an interpretation of another piece of media as a standalone thing? That perhaps these scumbags who do heinously ignore your protestations of “read the book!!” in fact do not want to read the book, nor are they obligated to do so in order to enjoy the show? (This is the op on that Clarice post)
They are until they start mocking canon or saying things I haven’t read the books BUT this is better and acting like these new interpretations are the know all end all.
The books are canon. PERIOD. END OF SENTENCE. The TV show would not have happened if it wasn’t for the books. I don’t care if you enjoy the show but what I annoys me is the people who enjoy the show who talk and act like it’s better than the books without having read them. They’ve read something in passing about the novels on tumblr or Wikipedia and they think that equates  comparing that to the depth of the knowledge they have on the show. It doesn’t.
I started in the TV Hannibal fandom at the end of season 1. I was there for the start of season 2 on NBC. I greatly enjoyed those two seasons. My enjoyment for the show was outside of my passionate love of the novels. I however started getting into with “fannibals” because they started acting like Will was end all be all, they even hated Alana for getting in the way of their relationship (this was before season 3 so we had no clue what was going to happen, or even if we were going to get a season 3). There were huge arguments that Clannibal was abusive and Hannigram wasn’t between Hannigram fans who hadn’t even read the novels and they were proud of this. And Bryan Fuller added fuel to the fire when in an interview he discussed this and said this himself.
In the end many of the novel fans felt the show ended up just disrespecting the source material. I know everyone able to interpret things as they want, but what has happened since is most Hannibal TV fans have taken Fuller’s interpretation as “Word of God” he’s even arrogantly gone on record and said he thinks his show is better than the source material. In doing this these fans are missing out on the original canon.
Yes it’s fine to be a casual fan of the show but what I see are hard core fans saying “It’s the best thing ever” and even dismissing a 5 time academy award winning movie. “The Silence of the Lambs” is only one of three movies to win all 5 top awards and the last one to do so and so many TV show fans are like “I Guess.” It’s this whole attitude of the younger fans that anything that happened before it can’t possibly be good.
The crime genre as novels, TV shows and movies wouldn’t be what it is today without Thomas Harris’ novels. Red Dragon was the first of its kind. Thomas Harris spent lots of time with John Douglas, taking his classes at the FBI Academy. Harris did this not long after Douglas started the BSU. Harris based Jack Crawford off of Douglas. Of course now everyone know Douglas as the guy who play King George in Hamilton from “Mindhunter.”
Clarice Starling was even more groundbreaking and that’s why I get so defensive of her. When The Silence of the Lambs novel came out in 1989 there were very few women in law enforcement and places like the FBI. There were very few characters like her in literature and even fewer on the big screen. While prepping for the part Jodie Foster spent time with one of the very few actual female FBI agents at the time. Jodie asked her what did she do to help herself cope. The agent responded, “I cry in my car a lot.”
Clarice Starling directly inspired Chris Carter to create Dana Scully. Dana Scully inspired thousands of girls to go into science and or law enforcement when they grew up. It’s known as The Scully Effect. It really should be the Starling Effect if we’re splitting hairs.
This is why I get so upset when I see Clarice Starling and canon so defiled in the TV fandom. Thomas Harris created the strongest women characters. This strange little man writes some of the most hardcore feminist novels of the 20th century, and “Hannibal” is people get so focused on the breast feeding the lose sight that Clarice played Hannibal at his own game and won.
I know Fuller didn’t have the rights to Clarice but that didn’t mean he had to take the source material and strip it of its feminist message to give it a gay one. And don’t come at me with Margot and Alana and that “feminist” BS. Margot was in the novel and was a butch dyke body builder with her own established girlfriend that didn’t have sex scenes filtered through the male gaze. And Abigail was a throwaway sentence she wasn’t killed 5 times for male angst. And Molly wasn’t left behind in the hospital, she actually fucking killed The Red Dragon. And Chyio was really a 13 year old handmaid that was sent back to Japan.
I’ve only recently gotten into “The Phantom of the Opera” phandom and these fuckers suck up every piece of media they can get their hands on. They’re watching bootlegs sung in German, they’re reading three different translations of the original novel to make sure we’re getting as much content as possible.
I wish this is what the TV Hannibal fandom was doing.

The Cannibal’s Pawn (Short/Multi)
A/N: Hi guys, I was suddenly inspired to write a short story and a Hannibal fanfiction, as what the majority had been convincing me to do.
Please also take note of the following;
-'Dr. Roman Fell' was the identity Hannibal stole when he was in Italy. I am just re-using it, just to make a bit more sense.
-Both Will and Hannibal fell down the cliff, the ending was left ambiguous. Therefore, I am using the ambiguity here as an advantage.
SYNOPSYS:
The story is set in England. A mix between the book and Hannibal's NBC.  Also, take note Dr. Roman Fell was the identity Hannibal stole when he was in Italy. He is just reusing it in this story.
Annabeth D' Matteo is a woman who suffers from the obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), sleep disorders, and depression. Due to her psychiatrist getting promoted, and transferred to another post. Annabeth is referred to another psychiatrist, by the name of Dr. Roman Fell.
At first, she was reluctant. She wasn't comfortable changing doctors, but after a few convincing from her friends and family, she yields. Finally attending her first session with Dr. Fell.
Unbeknownst to everyone, Dr. Roman Fell is actually FBI's most wanted, Dr. Hannibal Lectre. The moment Hannibal got to know Annabeth, he is immediately impressed with her observation skills and intuitive mind, and how much she reminds him of Will Graham.
He sees potential in her and uses her mental illness, issues and weakness to try and manipulate her. Will Hannibal succeed in turning her into a monster? Or will Annabeth notice what is wrong, and realise she is being used as Hannibal's pawn?
Tumblr media
                                                           ONE
                                                     Bella Figura
'Bella Figura' is an Italian way of life. Values that Annabeth grew up with. Bella figura goes well beyond image, visual beauty and presentation...it also is defined by behaviour: knowing how to properly and graciously interact with others in any social or public situation. Exhibiting good manners, tact and gentility is an essential component of "cutting a beautiful figure". And Dr. Roman Fell is the epitome of these two words; 'Bella Figura'.
If she knew that her new psychiatrist would be this handsome, it would've been a little easier for her to agree to the transfer her previous doctor made.
"Good Afternoon Ms. D' Matteo..." Dr. Fell greeted cordially.
"G-Good Afternoon..." she smiled, and nodded. While she waited for the invitation to take a seat, she looked around, admiring the office's beautiful interior.
The Doctor looked at her questioningly, as she still hasn't sat down. "Please... take a seat" he offered.
"Thank you..." she said politely, as she sat down. Growing up in an Italian family, one must never sit down, unless the host has offered.
"So what can I do for you today, Ms. D'Matteo?" he began, as he started to open his leather clipboard, jotting down notes.
"Just a refill of my medication will do, Dr. Fell..." she said politely, as her thumbs fidgeted. There goes her OCD again. What made her hesitant to the transfer, was that this new doctor might not be as patient as her previous one. She was so used to her old doctor, who was very patient and understanding, that she didn't know how to move to the next one. Adding to that, her previous psychiatrist was a woman, who understood 'Woman Problems'. It didn't matter if Dr. Fell was a well-trained psychiatrist or much better than her previous doctor. In Annabeth's opinion, only a woman can understand another woman well. However, she didn't want to be rude or insulting. She wasn't raised that way.
Dr. Fell looked at her, and raised a brow. He clearly recognised her fidgety behaviour as OCD. He was trained to read people after all. "If there is clearly something you want to do, please do so, I would not judge you..." he said.
Annabeth hesitated for a while, before standing up half-way, smoothing out the fabric of her wide-legged pants, and touching her stud earrings. "T-Thanks..." she stuttered.
"What brings you here Ms D' Matteo?" he said, asking a slightly different question from earlier.
"Uhhm... just to refill of my medication Dr. Fell..." she repeated politely and smiled at him.
"That's it?" Dr. Fell shifted from his seat, and leant a little closer. "You are aware that I am not able to refill your medications until you tell me what is wrong? So that I can make a diagnosis.
"I'm sure Dr. Abernathy has sent you my records... you may refer to that..." she replied in a soft voice, referring to her previous psychiatrist, who was now working as a professor in one of the most prestigious college in London.
"Yes, her clinic did..." he said, as he flipped through the number of pages, clipped inside the leather bound clipboard. It was definitely her medical record he was reading through.
"You do not trust me Ms. D' Matteo, why is that?" he asked directly, which kind of surprised Annabeth. They've just met, and he was already being too straight-forward. However, there was no hint of impatience in his voice, when he said his concern.
"Dr. Fell... it isn't because I do not trust you... I am very sorry if I had offended you in anyway... It is not my intention. I just probably do not know where to begin..." she reasoned. It was their first session, and she definitely did not want to offend her doctor. Making the best first impression mattered to her, this was one of the principles of 'Bella Figura'.
"You are misinterpreting my concern Ms. D' Matteo... you have not offended me in any way, do not worry. My concern is that as your doctor, and with the oath I have taken, I am supposed to do my best to help you. But how am I supposed to help you, if you do not trust me? "
She nodded in agreement to his statement. But still, couldn't bring herself to tell him anything. It was awkward, no doubt about it.
Dr. Fell looked at her, and waited for her patiently to begin. Not being able to take the awkwardness and hold his gaze, Annabeth finally broke her silence.
"I... as I've said, I do not know where to start..." she said, as she looked down at her shoes. As if her pumps held the answer.
"Tell me something about you Ms. D' Matteo..."
"Like?"
"We start with the general information? What is your passion? What do you do? what were the problems you were facing that made you come here? those general things."
"Ahem..." she cleared her throat. " I'm Annabeth, and I work as a designer."
"Ah... what type of designer?"
"Fashion, both men and women... textile too, but my strength lies in men's fashion..." she elaborated.
"I see, why men's fashion?" he asked curiously.
"It's a bit of a long story actually. Have you heard of the term "Bella Figura"?"
"Yes... First impressions matter..." he replied.
"Well... Since I grew up in an Italian family, "Bella Figura" was one of the values taught to me as I grew up. When my two younger brothers were growing up, we couldn't afford to have a bespoke suit made for them from Saville Row." She recalled as the family weren't very rich that time. They had just arrived in London then, from Italy.
"Therefore, they had to wear borrowed ones. Sometimes, they were too tight, and sometimes they were to loose. It looked unflattering and people began to say things and started talking behind our backs. Well, because I couldn't take it... I started saving up allowance money, to be able to afford textile for my brothers' suit. I then borrowed my mother's old sewing machine and began creating clothing. Those were the first clothing I created. The rest is history." she said, proud of herself on how far she had come.
"Interesting... I am guessing that you are very close to your family"
"Yes... yes of course... but It wasn't always like that during my early teenage years." she sighed, as she leant back.
"How so?" he asked, curiously.
She heaved a sigh before speaking. It was a sensitive issue that she needed to re-tell once again.
"My parents were conservative people... When I was a teenager, my parents called me a whore and a hoe. I have never even kissed someone before. I never had a boyfriend. Heck, I was too young to even have one. But I was called this because I liked a boy, and was caught smiling at him. I also dressed up and started putting makeup, to look more presentable. But I was only doing this part for myself. I wasn't inappropriate in any way shape or form. I dressed and groomed myself like a lady should, conservative. I followed the principles of 'Bella Figura'. But I was still being slut-shamed. They think I'm up to something or that I only cared about boys and men at school. Which I don't, because I was mostly busy with my projects. " she recalled painfully. What was worse, was that she was also being bullied in school during that time.
"How long did this went on?"
"Until the end of university..."
"I see... and how did you deal with it? how did you hold it together?"
"I didn't... I became what my parents called me, a hoe..." she laughed, and stared at the ceiling.
"Well... if you are comfortable answering... what do you think turned you into it?"
"I was just tired of the emotional abuse, I needed validation outside that my family couldn't give me. So I turned to men. I went from dating to dating, relationship to another relationship." she admitted painfully. Admitting what is wrong within a person, is one of the most painful things there is. No one likes to admit their own shortcomings? do they?
"So did you get what you want out of them?"
"Sadly... no... they'd leave as soon as they get what they want out of me. It was painful to actually be categorised as 'Non-Girlfriend' or wife material."
"So how did you carry on with this cycle?" he said, as he started jotting down notes.
"I didn't, I had a breakdown... and well I ended up being sent to Dr. Abernathy by my parents."
"What caused your breakdown?"
"Oh... that is a painful one. My last 'boyfriend' broke up with me, because he said I wasn't worthy."
"What did he exactly tell you?"
"He was pretty much undermining me and my background. He was from an old rich family. A few months later after we broke up, he got married to someone else. Can you believe it? It was less than a year, and he finds someone else and marries her!"
"That sounds painful..." He tries to sound a little more 'empathising'.
"It was... it broke me... I confronted him one more time so that I could get my closure..."
"And what did he say? What happened?" He asks, curious to what happened next. He didn't exactly pity her. Rather, he was just curious and wanted to hear the whole story. No one likes cliffhangers.
"I asked him tearfully, what did I not do? what was lacking? and he said that it was not the things I did and did not do, it was because of who I am."
"What do you mean?"
"As I've said, he thought I wasn't worthy of him. I was a far cry from his wife, he says. I wasn't from a rich family, nor did I graduated a top university that matched the standards of Oxbridge. I didn't have a profound degree nor a managerial position like she did. He looked down on me, to him, I was a 'Cobbler', a 'Tailor' and nothing beyond that." she said, recalling how her ex-beau used to refer to her choice of profession. It was ironic how he enjoyed sharp bespoke suits, well-crafted shoes, and expensive watches. Yet he looked down on the designers who made them, specifically small time designers like she was, in the past. Back then, she didn't have a have a brand of her own, and was just working for a newly opened clothing company.
Dr. Fell closed his clipboard and sat straight, looking her in the eyes. "You did not deserve such a man, clearly you were dating a jerk... please continue...." he encouraged.
Annabeth smiled with his empathising words and found herself a little more comfortable in his presence, compared to earlier. "Because I could not take it no longer, I had a breakdown. I refused to eat and do my work. I had a hard time sleeping and I became angry at everyone. My parents finally felt the right concern and dragged me to the psychiatrist, Dr. Abernathy. She helped me fixed my issues, specifically the ones I had with my family. We had family counselling, and I could say that my relationship with my family is much better compared to before."
"Well then... why are you here?" he wondered why she was still here, if she claimed to be already fine.
"It takes time to repair broken relationships Dr. Fell, you yourself is aware of that. Though I and my family get along well now. Damage has been done, and I have lots of issues to work on so that I can continue improving myself." she stated, and was met by a nod of approval from her doctor.
"That's a smart decision..." he said, as he nodded. This woman knew what was wrong with her, and was willing to work on her problem. This was the type of patients most psychiatrists liked. He then began writing her prescription but was distracted when she spoke once again.
"Is that the 'Talented Mr.Ripley?!' " she says, as she saw the book on the shelf. It was the first hardcover.
"Why yes? have you read it?" he asked, just out of courtesy.
"Of course! I've read the whole series... I found Tom Ripley likeable enough..." she declared.
Dr. Fell looked at her curiously. Why would a nice lady such as herself, finds a 'sociopath' like Tom Ripley likeable? "He's a sociopath Ms. D'Matteo... why do you find him likeable?"
"Hmmm... perhaps I see a part of myself in him. I can sympathise, and relate to him..." she said, as she headed straight to the shelf, but not before turning to Dr. Fell and asked for permission to touch the book. "Uhhh... may I?"
"Of course..." he replied, and watched her as she pulled the booked out, and smelled it. Finally getting a good look at her, he realised that the woman is beautiful, demure and polite. The soft smell of perfume on her skin, that smelled like the breeze, her chic fashion sense, and her modest behaviour. It would be deemed rude to harm her and 'eat' her. He didn't mind that she continues being his patient. In fact, he didn't mind her presence at all. Adding to that, he found himself curious about her, wanting to find out more. In fact, her declaration of her love for the Tom Ripley series intrigued him. She had just declared that she can empathise with sociopaths. Suddenly, Will came to mind.
"You love the smell of old books don't you?"
"Yes... I'm a bit of a book nerd..."
"Going back to Tom Ripley... which part of you, did you see in him?"
"Hmmm... most of it I gues? I mean I had a hard upbringing like he did. I started off as someone down with my own 'luck' and was disregarded every time. But with hard work and sheer determination, Tom Ripley manages to make something out himself. Despite the hardships, he came out the other end polite, self-effacing and hard working.  He became successful. I hope you won't judge, I used him as some sort of inspiration."
"Don't worry, I am not judging. But I am curious, I suppose you are aware that Tom Ripley is a cold-blooded killer as well?" he asked, as he walked, and stood beside her.
"Yes of course... But I somehow approve of his actions, I understood it. I found myself hoping that Tom would get away with it all- that he would be able to kill with impunity."
Hannibal looked at her and smiled, what she had just said made him more intrigued. A woman who empathised with a psychopath, just like Will Graham was.
"If I were Tom Ripley, I would've done the same, eliminate them one by one. But not in a quick way... you may think I'm a sadist, but it is better to torture your enemy first, as killing them immediately would be considered 'mercy'." she added. "Oh, I'm sorry... I must've been talking too much..." she said, as she tiptoed to return the book to the shelf.
"It is fine..." he smiled, "Let me help you..." he then took the book, and returned it to its respective place. "Tea?" he asked, inviting her to stay longer.
"Oh... that would be nice Dr. Fell... Thank you!" she replied with a smile, and returned back to her chair.
Hannibal watched as she walked back to her seat. She was wearing a high neck, ruffle lace blouse, which matched her wide legged pastel blue pants. Her short bobbed hair was comb neatly and tucked behind her ears. Her accessories and makeup looked minimal, but it sure did enhance her features. It was no secret that Hannibal liked beautiful women, especially women who carried themselves well. But to fully catch his attention, his admiration must go beyond physical, a woman should have more than beauty.
Simple yet Chic #4 by fashionholicwriter featuring sterling silver fine jewelry
Annabeth D'Matteo obviously had something more than beauty. He was no longer just intrigued by her, he was now fascinated. She has a potential for something more, potential like Will Graham has.
Hannibal smiled to himself as he looked at her, Annabeth D' Matteo was definitely his new pawn.

Fornication, Grime, and Gore Cant Save The Alienist From TVs Serial-Killer Fatigue
The Alienist is not just aliens, run figure.
As it is about to change, “alienist” is a term for analysts in the early days of the profession who was held that the mentally ill were “alienated” from their memories. The outdated word received a revitalization when Caleb Carr’s 1994 romance The Alienist was secreted, which TNT’s brand-new drama is changed from. It’s a ghostly, grisly season drama that while interesting, unfortunately seems exceedingly dated.
Take for instance the premise, where you have Daniel Bruhl as Dr. Laszlo Kreizler, an alienist who hunts serial executioners. In tell to understand serial executioners, he must understand their knowledge. It’s the advice that Hannibal Lecter leaved Clarice Starling virtually 30 years ago. It’s the same method that Dr. Will Graham employed on NBC’s Hannibal just a few years ago. What The Alienist has going for it is that it’s set at the outset of the type of detective work Will would do on Hannibal , but we see it from the lens of 1896.
The series is grisly without being too over-the-top, as it plummets into a planned about young male copulation employees being assassinated. The first such is a boy in women’s clothes , not only slaughtered but his eyes too removed from their sockets. The Alienist wishes to poise the quaintness of a period drama with the verve of modern procedurals like the aforementioned Hannibal and Criminal Minds , but it all comes across as too familiar to be entirely exciting. The Alienist isn’t particularly interested in the minutiae to new technologies like the superior The Knick was and, as a point portion, it doesn’t quite detect as sumptuously lived in as The Crown or other succession of that ilk.
I have never read Carr’s novel; it’s quite possible devotees were clamoring for this adaptation. But as it arrives now, it feels superfluous in a television landscape where we’ve gone to this well multiple times. How many times must a brilliant man hunt down serial executioners in the same way, without at least the visual and trippy verve of a Hannibal ?
The addition of Luke Evans and Dakota Fanning breath some life into the sequence. Evans’ characterization of a newspaper illustrator with a predilection for brothels sleazes up the serial in a required direction. Fanning as police secretary to Theodore Roosevelt invites a reflection on women in the workplace and in the late 1800 s that would be better served as the primary crux of the line. Adapting The Alienist for the screen ought to have invited adapting it for our modern times. Placing it in Fanning’s POV might have moved the series a far more urgent and vital patch of television than it is now.
Speaking to NPR, Fanning discussed the relevance of her character Sarah Howard, in today’s climate,” On one handwriting, you know, it’s great when the show that you’re making is relevant to the times that you’re living in. But some of the relevant is various kinds of inauspicious because there is a scene in the first episode with my persona and another police officer, and you appreciate sexual abuse and abuses of capability in the workplace. And the narrations do parallel fibs that are being told right now, so I think it is important, especially for my generation, to investigate those similarities between now and so long ago .”
Which isn’t to say The Alienist is a complete cleanse. It’s a instead delightful recreation for those who are fans of procedural crime dramas and the recreation of its 19 th-century adjusting demonstrates it an extra bit of genre elegance that’s needing from your typical CBS series. But what The Alienist is currently missing is verve and a feeling of “why now?” That is, other than simply,” TNT had the rights to the book .”
Maybe it should have been about immigrants.

As the Bill Cosby sexual assault trial comes to a close in Pennsylvania after just one week, ABC News looks back at the extraordinary sequence of events that led to the public downfall and criminal prosecution of a man who was once one of America’s most beloved comedians.
Mid-Jan.–Mid-Feb. 2004 Bill Cosby allegedly sexually assaults Andrea Constand at his home in Cheltenham Township in Montgomery, Penn.
March 31, 2004 Constand leaves her position as Director of Operations for Temple University’s women’s basketball team and returns to Canada.
May 17, 2004 Cosby’s fiery speech about black America at an NAACP awards ceremony leads to a speaking tour dubbed “A Call Out With Bill Cosby” at college campuses and churches nationwide.
Jan. 13, 2005 Constand first tells her mother that Cosby had assaulted her after experiencing nightmares and a “flashback” that triggered her memory, according to court documents.
Jan. 22, 2005 Constand files a police report with Durham Regional Police outside Toronto, Canada — sparking a criminal investigation by Montgomery County detectives in Cheltenham.
Jan. 2005 At his attorney’s midtown Manhattan law office, Cosby is interviewed by Cheltenham Police Chief John Norris, who later told Vanity Fair that Cosby was “cooperative, congenial.” “He came in wearing the typical Cosby sweater,” he said. “I was asking the question, and I thought [Cosby] was a gentleman. I didn’t think he was evasive. He answered every question I put to him. He said it was a consensual sexual encounter. That summarizes it.”
Feb. 10, 2005 Tamara Green says in a television interview that Constand’s decision to file a police report against Cosby that sparked a very public criminal investigation prompted her to come forward with a similar allegation from the 1970s.
Feb. 17, 2005 Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor Jr. issues a press release announcing his decision not to criminally prosecute Cosby.
March, 2005 Constand files a civil lawsuit against Cosby, and includes depositions from 13 women who say they, too, were sexually assaulted by Cosby over the years, as potential witnesses. Cosby later said in a deposition that his sexual encounter with Constand was consensual, and that the only drug he gave her was Benedryl. Cosby has denied ever sexually coercing anyone, but said some of the accusations were consensual encounters. His attorneys have charged that some of the women can’t remember the year the year of the alleged incidents, and in other cases can’t specifically recall being assaulted – only that they woke up feeling drugged. Prosecutors wanted to use these women’s testimony in the criminal trial, but the judge ruled that just one could testify. Until she took the stand as Kelly Johnson, she had been known only as “Kacey.”
June 23, 2005 Beth Ferrier, Jane Doe #5, has alleged publicly that during the course of what she has described as a brief affair with the entertainer in 1984 when she was modelling, Cosby drugged her coffee and sexually assaulted her. Ferrier also attempted to tell this story to the National Enquirer, which was ready to go to print with it when Cosby offered the Enquirer an exclusive interview in return for spiking Ferrier’s story, which the tabloid did, according to testimony Cosby gave in 2005. It never went to print. Through his representatives, Cosby has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
Fall 2005 – 2006: During four days of depositions by Constand’s attorneys, Cosby testified that he got drugs to give women for sex, how he gave the National Enquirer an exclusive interview in 2005 to stop a story about another, previously undisclosed sexual assault allegation from surfacing, and how he hid the affairs from his wife and routed payments to multiple women. In July, 2015, the AP got the court to release excerpts of the depositions. That same month, the New York Times obtained the full transcripts from the court reporter, and published excerpts.
June 6, 2006 In a radio interview with Howard Stern, model Janice Dickenson calls Cosby “a bad guy” who “preys on women.”
June 9, 2006 Barbara Bowman is named in Philadelphia magazine as one of the women giving testimony in support of Constand’s civil lawsuit against Cosby.
Nov. 8, 2006 Constand’s civil lawsuit against Cosby is settled for an undisclosed amount of money.
EIGHT YEARS PASS
Oct. 16, 2014 Comedian Hannibal Buress made the joke heard around the world. Performing in Cosby’s home town of Philadelphia, he mocked Cosby’s public persona. “Pull your pants up black people, I was on TV in the ’80s,” he said in the bit. “Yeah, but you rape women, Bill Cosby, so turn the crazy down a couple notches.”
Nov. 10, 2014 With nearly a month passed since the Buress routine went viral, prompting fresh accusations, Cosby’s PR team began a concerted effort to counter the mountain of negative press and societal media censure pin-balling through cyberspace at the speed of sound and launches an online meme generator. In an effort to creatively engage fans online, Cosby posted an invitation on Twitter: “Meme me.” Twitter responds with references to the rape claims. Soon, social media had done more damage that good. Later they would first shun, and later embrace the media, and launch counter-suits for defamation against his accusers.
Nov. 13, 2014 Bowman, who first publicly accused Cosby of sexual assault in 2006 and was a witness in Constand’s lawsuit, pens an op-ed in the Washington Post. Titled “Bill Cosby raped me. Why did it take 30 years for people to believe my story,” Bowman wrote that it was only after a male comedian called Cosby a rapist that the “public outcry begin in earnest.” Two days later, when asked about the charges on NPR’s “Weekend Edition,” Cosby stays silent. But his lawyer, John P. Schmitt, later posted a notice to the comedian’s website, saying Cosby would not be addressing “decade-old, discredited allegations.”
“The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true,” Schmitt said in the statement. “There will be no further statement from Mr. Cosby or any of his representatives.”
Nov. 16, 2014 A new accuser, Joan Tarshis, tells CNN that Cosby drugged and assaulted her on two occasions in 1969.
Nov. 17, 2014 Linda Joy Traitz, a former waitress at a restaurant owned in part by Cosby, writes a lengthy Facebook post, accusing the star of trying to drug her in the early ’70s.
Nov. 18, 2014 Janice Dickinson tells “Entertainment Tonight” that the comedian drugged and raped her in 1982.
Nov. 20, 2014 Theresa Serignese comes forward as the seventh woman to accuse Cosby of sexual assault, saying that he drugged and assaulted her in 1976. Cosby’s attorneys have dismissed Serignese and other accusations as “decades old, discredited” accounts.
TV Land pulls planned repeats of “The Cosby Show” from its schedule amid sexual assault allegations against the comedian. NBC and Netflix also shelve projects with the comedian.
Meanwhile, The Associated Press releases video of its Nov. 6 interview with Cosby in which he tells the interviewer to “scuttle” footage of him refusing to comment on the assault charges.
Nov. 21, 2014 More women come forward, including Carla Ferrigno, wife and manager of “Incredible Hulk” actor Lou Ferrigno, who says Cosby “attacked” her when she was a teenager. Nurse Theresa Serignese tells “20/20” that Cosby drugged and raped her in 1976 when she was 19. Others tell similar stories of being drugged and forced to have sex.
Cosby’s lawyer Martin Singer tells ABC News, “The new, never-before-heard claims from women who have come forward in the past two weeks with unsubstantiated, fantastical stories about things they say occurred 30, 40, or even 50 years ago have escalated far past the point of absurdity. These brand-new claims about alleged decades-old events are becoming increasingly ridiculous, and it is completely illogical that so many people would have said nothing, done nothing, and made no reports to law enforcement or asserted civil claims if they thought they had been assaulted over a span of so many years.”
Cosby himself tells Florida Today, “I know people are tired of me not saying anything, but a guy doesn’t have to answer to innuendos. People should fact check. People shouldn’t have to go through that and shouldn’t answer to innuendos.”
Nov. 23, 2014 Former NBC employee Frank Scotti tells the New York Daily News that he paid off eight women on Cosby’s behalf, sending thousands of dollars in money orders to the women to keep them quiet. Cosby’s attorney called Scotti’s tale “pure speculation,” according to the original news report, and challenged him to bring forth evidence to back his story.
Nov. 26, 2014 Cosby resigns as honorary co-chair of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst’s capital campaign. Citing newly uncovered 2005 depositions Cosby gave to Constand’s lawyer, The New York Times reports that Cosby stated under oath that gave an exclusive interview to the National Enquirer in 2005 in return for a promise to spike a story about another, previously undisclosed sexual assault allegation against him.
Nov. 30, 2014 In a first-person essay for Vanity Fair, model Beverly Johnson accuses Cosby of drugging her in the mid-1980s but says she doesn’t believe she was raped. She later tells ABC News, “I knew that I was in danger, I knew that this was not a recreational drug of any kind, it was…I was really afraid, I was afraid for my life.”
Dec. 1, 2014 Cosby resigns from Temple University’s board of trustees.
Dec. 3, 2014 Cosby breaks his silence on Twitter to thank Whoopi Goldberg and singer Jill Scott for their support. Both women have since publicly backed off of their support.
Dec. 2, 2014 Judy Huth files a civil lawsuit that Cosby forced her to perform a sex act in 1974 at the Playboy Mansion when she was 15, the comedian fires back with a lawsuit, saying Huth is lying and trying to extort money from him. Huth is the first woman to come forward claiming Cosby assaulted her when she was underage. The case is ongoing, and attorney Gloria Allred has sought to freeze all discovery pending the outcome of the criminal trial.
The Navy also announces in a statement to the Associated Press that it is revoking Cosby’s title of honorary chief petty officer, saying allegations of sexual abuse made against the comedian are serious and conflict with the Navy’s core values.
Dec. 13, 2014 Cosby tells New York Post reporter Stacy Brown that he expects “the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism” and stay neutral. He also said his wife, Camille, is standing by him.
Dec. 15, 2014 Camille Cosby speaks out for the first time. “The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work,” she says in a statement. “A different man has been portrayed in the media over the last two months. It is the portrait of a man I do not know.”
Dec. 16, 2014 The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office declines to charge Cosby in response to the Huth allegations, citing the statute of limitations.
Cosby’s daughter Evin releases her own statement. “He is the FATHER you thought you knew,” she tells “Access Hollywood.” “‘The Cosby Show’ was my today’s TV reality show. Thank you. That’s all I would like to say :)”
Jan. 7, 2015 Phylicia Rashad, 66, who played Cosby’s wife Claire Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” clarifies remarks she made earlier defending her former co-star. Rashad said that in all the years she worked with Cosby, she never saw any of the behavior described by dozens of women. In an interview with ABC News, she said, “What you’re seeing is the destruction of a legacy. And I think it’s orchestrated. I don’t know why or who’s doing it, but it’s the legacy. And it’s a legacy that is so important to the culture.”
“We are really missing what is wrong here, which is, this is the United States of America. I know it’s changing, but it’s still the United States of America and there are tenets that we live by,” she continued. “There is the Constitution of the United States, which ensures innocence until proof of guilt and that has not happened. But what has happened is declaration in the media of guilt, without proof. And a legacy is being destroyed because of it. It’s being obliterated.”
Jan. 7, 2015 At a press conference, attorney Gloria Allred introduces three new Cosby accusers, including “Prior Alleged Victim Six,” known only then “Kacey,” but was later revealed to be Johnson. Her testimony was the sole supporting allegations to Constand’s account in Cosby’s criminal trial. Johnson, who grew emotional as she read her statement, charges that Cosby drugged and assaulted her in 1996 while she was working at the William Morris Agency for Cosby former agent Tom Lilius. She said in a statement that Cosby insisted she take a “large white pill” and then sought to confirm she had swallowed it – after which she said she woke up naked in bed with him. As with Constand and other accusers, Cosby has acknowledged the encounter but said that any sex was consensual.
March 10, 2015 Model Jennifer Thompson tells the AP that Cosby pursued her aggressively and once gave her $700 after she performed a sex act on him. Former Cosby attorney Marty Singer did not immediately respond to Thompson’s claims, but has called the flood of similar allegations “unsubstantiated.”
March 13, 2015 Former model Lise-Lotte Lublin asks Nevada legislators to rescind the state’s statute of limitations on sexual assault, saying she suspects Cosby drugged her drink in a Las Vegas hotel in 1989. Through his attorneys, Cosby has always denied all accusations of wrongdoing.
May 15, 2015 In an exclusive interview with ABC News’ Linsey Davis, Cosby responds to critics who call him a hypocrite for moralizing about black America while facing sexual assault allegations.
July 6, 2015 Court documents from Constand’s 2005 lawsuit are released in which Cosby admitted to giving a woman Quaaludes. Cosby said he obtained the drugs with the idea that he would give them to a woman with whom he wanted to have sex. The release followed a court battle in which Constand filed a motion to have the deposition unsealed because Cosby had violated the nondisclosure agreement by responding to the newly surfaced allegations.
July 26, 2015 Spelman College discontinues its endowed professorship named after Cosby and returns the remaining funds to the comedian and his wife, who had previously donated $20 million to the black college.
July 27, 2015 New York magazine photographs 35 of Cosby’s accusers for a stunning cover story, in which they tell their stories of the alleged assaults and their decision to come forward.
September 24, 2015 Marquette and Fordham universities revoke Cosby’s honorary degrees.
October 6, 2015 Chloe Goins, a 25-year-old Las Vegas model and one of the youngest women to come forward, files a lawsuit against Cosby, claiming he drugged and assaulted her in 2008 when she was just a teenager. Los Angeles prosecutors are reviewing her case after the LAPD presented the findings of their investigation. Cosby has previously denied the accusations, saying he was not at the party at the Playboy mansion where the alleged incident took place, and Goins dropped the lawsuit in February, 2016.
October 9, 2015 Attorney Gloria Allred, who represents a number of Cosby’s accusers, deposes the comedian under oath in Huth’s civil lawsuit.
October 15, 2015 Tufts University and Goucher College strip Cosby of his honorary degrees. Days later, Amherst College rescinds Cosby’s honorary doctorate — the first time in the school’s history.
October 21, 2015 Cosby fires his longtime lawyer, Marty Singer, one of his most vocal defenders in the press.
November 4, 2015 Kevin Steele beats Bruce Castor Jr. after a bitter race for Montgomery County District Attorney. The campaign was marked by deep animosity between the two men, with Steele accusing Castor in one ad of failing to bring criminal charges against Cosby, and “not looking out for the [alleged Cosby] victims.” Castor fired back, calling that accusation “despicable, desperation politics, disgusting lies,” according to the Montgomery News.
December 14, 2015 Cosby files a defamation counter-suit today against seven women who previously accused him of sexual misconduct. The original suit was filed by Green in December 2014 and the other women joined this year.
The comedian’s lawyer, Monique Pressley, said in a statement obtained by ABC News that Tamara Green, Therese Serignese, Linda Traitz, Louisa Moritz, Barbara Bowman, Joan Tarshis and Angela Leslie have made “malicious, opportunistic and false and defamatory” comments about him.
Green, who in 2006 told People magazine that Cosby drugged and groped her, filed a defamation suit against Cosby in December, 2014. Serignese, Traitz, Moritz, Bowman, Tarshis and Leslie joined the suit this year.
December 21, 2015 A week later, Cosby files a defamation lawsuit against Beverly Johnson. In a statement from his lawyer, he says “he never drugged defendant and her story is a lie” and is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, a retraction of her statements, and the removal of the chapter from her memoir in which the incident is mentioned.
Dec. 30, 2015 More than 50 women have come forward, most of them within the past thirteen months, but the legendary actor and comedian had never been charged with a crime — until now. Two weeks before the statute of limitations runs out, Cosby is charged with drugging and sexually assaulting Constand in 2004. He did not enter a plea at his arraignment and is free on $1 million bail.
“The charge by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office came as no surprise, filed 12 years after the alleged incident and coming on the heels of a hotly contested election for this county’s DA during which this case was made the focal point,” Pressley said in a statement. “Make no mistake, we intend to mount a vigorous defense against this unjustified charge and we expect that Mr. Cosby will be exonerated by a court of law.”
December 31, 2015 Cosby tweets “Thank You” to friends and family.
Feb. 2, 2016 Former D.A. Castor testifies that he didn’t file charges in 2005 in the Cosby case because he didn’t think the Constand allegations would stand up in court. Castor gave three reasons why he didn’t bring criminal charges against Cosby in 2005: it took Constand almost a year to come forward; the inability to collect forensic evidence; the fact that Constand contacted a civil lawyer in Philadelphia before going to police in Canada to file a report.
February 3, 2016 Judge Steven T. O’Neill, a judge on the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, rules that Cosby case can go forward, and declines to remove Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele from the case, despite Cosby team’s objections.
Feb. 16, 2016 Court documents reveal that in early February, 2016, Cosby filed a federal civil lawsuit against Constand’s lawyers, Dolores M. Troiani and Bebe H. Kivitz, according to the New York Times. “The exact nature of the suit is unclear,” the paper reports, “because it is still partly under seal.”
Feb 22, 2016 Camille Cosby gives 2.5 hours of testimony in a deposition with lawyers for seven women suing Cosby for defamation.
Feb. 25, 2016 Cosby drops lawsuit against Beverly Johnson.
May 24, 2016 Cosby is ordered to stand trial in the sexual assault case by Montgomery County Magisterial District Court Judge Elizabeth McHugh. He waived a formal arraignment, and thus, automatically entered a plea of not guilty. The case is assigned to Judge O’Neill.
June 8, 2016 Cosby again seeks to have the indecent sexual assault charge dismissed. “The District Attorney’s win-at-all-costs tactics in this matter are stretching the rules past the breaking point,” the motion stated. The motion is denied.
July 18, 2016 Cosby is now completely blind, a source close to him tells Page Six. Cosby has suffered from a degenerative eye condition called keratoconus, which causes the eye’s cornea to bulge.
Sept. 9, 2016 For the first time in the Constand case, Cosby’s lawyers claim racism, The AP reports. “Mr. Cosby is no stranger to discrimination and racial hatred,” the lawyers said in a statement. “When the media repeats her accusations — with no evidence, no trial and no jury — we are moved backwards as a country and away from the America that our civil rights leaders sacrificed so much to create.”
Feb. 24, 2017 Judge O’Neill allows one additional woman, now known to be Johnson, who says Bill Cosby sexually assaulted her to testify in the upcoming trial.
Feb 27, 2017 Judge O’Neill agrees to a request by an attorney for Bill Cosby to bring in a jury from outside Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, for the entertainer’s trial for alleged criminal sexual assault.
April 26, 2017 Cosby’s daughter Evin issues a statement defending her father. “I know that my father loves me, loves my sisters and my mother,” she said. “He loves and respects women. He is not abusive, violent or a rapist.”
The Hollywood Reporter publishes a story, “The Brash Plan to Defend Bill Cosby,” in which Cosby defense attorney Angela Agrusa opens up about legal strategy, including the potential to introduce the psychological theory of “false memory creation.” During case hearings in July 2015, Constand attorney Dolores Troiani suggested that Cosby may suffer from somnophilia, known as a “Sleeping Beauty” fetish, in which the pursuer receives pleasure by waking a sleeping girl for sex. Neither Cosby nor his attorneys have ever made that claim.
May 16, 2017 In his first interview in two years, with Sirius XM radio, Cosby says he won’t take the stand, and reiterates the claim that racism may be partly responsible for the dozens of sexual assault allegations against him. Social media reacts swiftly to Cosby’s comments tying race to the sexual assault allegations.
May 25, 2017 Jury selection ends two days after it began. The jury, which was selected from Allegheny County, is comprised of seven men and five women. Two of the twelve jurors are black, which translates to roughly 17 percent. In Allegheny County, the black community is just 13 percent of the total population, according to Suburban Stats.
June 5, 2017: Cosby’s criminal trial begins. He arrives in court arm-in-arm with his former “Cosby Show” co-star, Keshia Knight Pulliam. “The man that I’ve known as a child was funny and witty and smart and philanthropic and full of advice,” she told ABC News. “I can only go based on who I’ve experienced, and at the end of the day, it’s the court’s job to find the truth of the matter.”

It never went to print. Through his representatives, Cosby has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.

She said in a statement that Cosby insisted she take a “large white pill” and then sought to confirm she had swallowed it – after which she said she woke up naked in bed with him.
