24.  Favourite genre to write and read

So, imma apply this specifically to fanfiction, since that's what we do here in tumblrland!

To write - I prefer smut in all its forms with a love of tropes such as friends to lovers and mutual hidden feelings.

To read - pretty much all smut - what can I say? I'm clearly a dirty girl! 😅 I don't stray into dark content often and I don't really think there is anything that I read that I wouldn't write myself, if that makes sense?

28.  Favourite side character

Most of my faves are most likely considered closer to side characters than main protagonists. I can’t help but show love to my under appreciated darlings.

As for my absolute favourite, I’m gonna go a little left field and say - Kon from Bleach. He is just the most adorable, pervy lil guy! 😭 A modified soul that normally inhabits the body of a stuffed lion, he sometimes looks after Ichigo’s human form and he has a heavy crush on both Rukia and Orihime. Kon is the comic relief in a series that is most often than not rather heavy in tone. Just wanna squish him so tight and you know he is gonna love being crushed against my chest 🤣

29.  Favourite villain

Okay, now I'm gonna pick two here but for very different reasons. Sorry for the ramble that is incoming...

Zeref from Fairy Tail is considered ‘the big bad’ of the entire series but the man is not a villain. This is a hill I will gladly give my life on. Mashima really fucked the elder Dragneel brother over, like seriously. There is so much sorrow and agony to unpack from the man coined as the Black Wizard, and none of it was explored. Without going into too much depth here, any FT fan who doesn't buy what I'm saying should really seek out some Zeref fanfics and I have recommendations that includes one of my own 😅

Now on to a character who is a true villain and I cannot despise him more. I have never felt such a visceral reaction to an anime baddie than I did for this motherfucker! Mahito from JJK. Yeah, the boy is a curse but fuck me is he a disgusting monster. I’m not gonna put spoilers here cause I know a lot don’t follow the manga and we in early doors of the anime but holy motherfucking hell, when it is revealed what he does… 🤬 I cried. I yelled. I hugged a cat to my face. I lost it… so yeah, as a villain he is the worst but that’s what makes him the best.

41.  Any advice for new/beginning/young writers?

Just write it. Even if it never sees the light of day, write it. Even if you think it’s a car crash, write it.

Don’t compare yourself to authors you love and/or follow, they have likely been doing it for a while and their first pieces probably look like hot trash in comparison to what they write now.

Don’t write for likes. Write what you want to write regardless of how obscure the character or set up might be.

Speak to your favourite authors and don’t be scared to ask for advice, I can’t believe I’m actually including myself in this(what a dream), we are usually very lovely people who are more than willing to help.

Look at beta reading services if you want to refine your works but make sure you get someone that fits your style and personality. @needabeta has a great form to look up available betas for your fandom and includes me!! 😁

That makes sense! They both have shown uncertainty about how welcome their behaviour and actions might or might not be. Chris obviously has a lot to be concerned about bcs of his lyanthrapy. Ryan does seem the more likely of the two to go after what he wants and therefore cross 'the line' they have between them. I kinda love that, low key, Chris's will power struggles when it comes to Ryan sort of tempting and teasing him in the fics. The boot/leg trapping scene in GP chap 3 was really cute of him! You can tell that he really likes Chris, which begs another question 🤔 Would they ever actually tell the other they loved them? In ASB it ended with them being sort of together secretly, so I'm intrigued how it will pan out in GP. And yeah, I agree, the group probably wouldn't care for the most part, I mean they made jokes and nudged at it in game.

Hmm, so there's potentially gonna be some spicy content for them later 👀 I have 1 little request about it, a somewhat cosy and/or intimate bed scene. Chris's room looked so peaceful and cosy in game! It's interesting you mention the eye contact being part of how he showcases affection, he's slipping up with it lately, even Ryan is picking up on it, unless it's somewhat intentional? Or maybe not, like you mentioned previously, he might do it subconsciously as an animal tends to do. Ahh and teasing proximity, Chris ain't slick 🤣 the way he dropped the handsome comment and asking if Ryan wanted to do something to stretch his legs (low key reminded me of when Chris admitted to himself in ASB that he'd fantasied about having him in the back of his car, very hot) those parts had me gasping, this man really be jumping back and forth over 'the line' like it's a jump rope. Looking forward to discovering the new ways Chris shows love/affection.

Aha! One mystery solved, jinkies! It is a bit of a mystery why he'd also install cameras outside the basement. Sure, there's the times he's wolfing out down there, but elsewhere in the lodge? Bit stumped on that, unless the other ones are mainly to monitor Ryan or something, which is rather creepy. I guess he just likes watching his favourite counsellor, will he blur that line do you think? In ASB I felt like they sort of did but didn't at the same time. He really cares about Ryan, more than merely being his boss, so much so that he introduced him to his kids. Including him in his small family, but didn't voice it exactly. But I'm rambling a bit off track here myself.

That does make sense when you put it like that. Ryan was tired, still is tired and the basement does have the most shitty lighting. It works to Chris's advantage really, with the cameras being kinda hidden and Ryan's fatigue. Detective Ryan is on the case, tbh it just reminded me of the bonfire in game when Dylan jokes that Chris is a vouyer with the cameras, which sort of atm holds a bit of weight in GP ig. It'd be interesting to get Chris's perspective in the fic.

A spicy question this time, do you think Chris would use condoms? I mean, he hasn't gotten laid in years, a long time, and he's a known camp leader, right? He gets so embarrassed or flustered by sexual teasing/conversation and imaginings, that I wondered if he'd even be able to bring himself to purchase any in town. Then there's the point of if he'd want to use them, bcs of the animalistic tendencies he has at times. A small evil thought I had was if he didn't use them, what if over time or something the werewolf virus was transmitted to Ryan that way, instead of a bite? Bcs it's fluid yk, unless it doesn't actually work that way, and i cant imagine him letting his family off Ryan if he got infected 🤔

Yeah, this was interesting to read! It's nice to have more food for thought, I like analysing and focusing on stuff. And ASB and GP are two of my fave fanfics, I always look forward to updates, and you never miss or disappoint with them! :) I look forward to the sudden new developments!

I was just thinking, what do you think Chris's love language would be? I tried imagining what it might be, and surprisingly I can't decide on it. I was thinking that words of affirmation might be one? In both fics he reassures and comforts Ryan with his words, but then I got thinking about GP and the end of chap 4. He's growing somewhat touchy, and jealous (although I don't think the latter a love language?) so then I wondered if physical affection could be in the mix too. But it's difficult to say bcs he usually tries to hold himself at a distance doesn't he 🤔

Also, I was rereading the chapters again, and I finally have theory about how he could be watching Ryan in the basement. So, you said Ryan knows about the cameras now, but from what we know (that Ryan knows) is that they're outside camp by the trails and stuff. But what if Chris has also got cameras inside?

But then I sort of scratched that bcs Ryan would have noticed a camera in the room...unless it was one of those sneaky hidden cameras that don't look like one? 🤔 then I got thinking about why he'd wanna watch Ryan do laundry in the first place, is there a reason for that which will be revealed later or no? If Chris has managed to spy on him in there another way, that would be really cool and equally creepy. But I'm here for that, it's spooky season, and it's a horror game anyway 🤪

ahhh, it’s such a good question! and such complicated one, when it comes to them. mostly, bc their relationships are always balancing on line of what ‘can’ one do and, then what one ‘wants’ to do, and technically still can, but it might be taken as them committing smth inpropriate. tho funny enough, the game on itself, low-key cheers it on. so it’s more of chris’s own inner issues, really. personally, i don’t think, that most of hacketters (not all clearly) would care if ryan slept with their camp operator lol. but when it comes to chris there is the major issue of him ‘allowing’ himself to act on his desires/instincts, bc he himself view them as ‘bad thing’. so yeah, for the most part he only uses his words as showing ryan, that he’s very important to him. i mean, in the beginning he’s sort of reached out to him only via conversations, and very small portions of supposedly ‘fatherly’ touches. but back then, his affection was also of a different nature vs how it progressed from there on (if we take fanon of ASB, at least). the best way i can put it is that chris wants to do more, but feels like he can’t. 

and tbh, this is one of those aspects, that i find hella intriguing in their dynamic. it can go a few ways, and there is always a ‘line’, that chris would try not to cross, but usually, does end up crossing, anyways. but how far that ‘line’ lies heavily depends on ryan’s responses. or on how openly he provokes the reaction from chris. and like, ryan was still somewhat modest in ASB. but how modest will he be in GP, when he’s the one, who will eventually have all kinds of ‘leverages’? and how much longer can chris ignore all that temptation, when it’s literally being shoved into his face? now, that's a thing to take in consideration. but ah, i’ll leave it here for now! i already sorta walked away from the main question. so back to chris’s way of showing affection/love, in GP there will be more physical stuff later on. but as far as it goes now, i guess, we can say that words/eye contact and teasing of proximity is chris’s main established love language atm lol. but there are always new forms to express it too.

and ah, you’re spot on! there are cameras inside the lodge too. naturally, chris wouldn’t tell this to anyone, bc it would make them wary and rightfully so. like it’s one thing to track what happens around the camp, but what good can the cameras inside the lodge do? well, prob none. but that’s until you take in consideration what exact locations of these cameras are. one is inside the basement for sure. and from what we know, from the prologue alone, is that chris used the basement as a container for himself, on time of the full moon (at least occasionally). so it’s safe to say, that he didn’t use that camera for anything ‘creepy’, right until he didn’t notice ryan going there day after day, and started, well yeah, doing just that. being creepy about it lol. 

as for how come that ryan didn’t see the cameras, the answer is kinda simple tbh. for one, he didn’t have a reason to look for one, or even truly admire the ceiling or just go around the place. for example, there are cameras all over the big malls, but usually, an average person won’t even bother to pin-point where it might be located or even consider, that they might be filmed right now. it’s kinda the same principle here. then, ryan is also tired and sleep-deprived, so his attention to the details isn’t the best. one’s vision get all fucked up, when you don’t sleep well for weeks, so it’s hard to see smth small, so far away, esp in the fairly poorly lighted room. and yeah, this will be touched upon, and ryan will actually attempt to ‘put the pieces’ together, haha. i also was considering later on, making a single chapter, that would be sorta a recap of ‘major’ happenings in GP, but from chris’s perspective, which will give a different spin on some things, that we can only see through ryan’s eyes. anyways, the explanation to how chris was watching ryan is fairly ‘down to earth’, less so the reason why he just kept on watching him, over and over. making all kinds of assumptions. and then…where the rest of cams are? was he also watching ryan elsewhere? soon, ryan will learn exactly that. 

anyhow, thank you for the question! i had fun answering it, so hopefully it was somewhat fun to read too, haha. like even if the cameras ‘intrigue’ is killed now, there are different ‘sudden’ things to come. ryan’s (mis)adventure into Hackett's quarry lore had only started.
