But either way, no one in this crowd is going to be adopting a rescue pet with no pedigree and nowhere near the aesthetic appeal of a Bernese mountain dog or a Great Pyrenees or a Siamese or Persian, much less an exotic pet like a harlequin macaw or the definitely-not-legally-obtained grand cayman blue iguana the Wallens have been carting around to every possible event of the past six months. Especially when most of the rescue’s pets aren’t any “prettier” than a calico or a golden retriever and definitely would not be any kind of status symbol to own. There isn’t a single pet at this event outside of the rescue’s that wasn’t bought from either a breeder or a poacher, Tim’s sure, which is . . . ironic, he’ll just say. 

And also hugely hypocritical and frankly an insult to the entire purpose of the event. 

But that’s what it takes to get donations in Gotham, so he can’t blame the rescue for playing the game. 

Tim just really doesn’t like how a lot of people treat their pets, especially in high society. And, of course, high society can afford all the pets it wants, ethically-sourced or not. 

Ugh. 

Even if he didn’t care about that kind of thing at all, though, Damian’s much more interested in pets than he is, even though he doesn’t actually have any of his own. Tim is pretty sure half of his chaperone responsibilities today are really just going to be making sure Damian doesn’t try to bring home a puppy or five while Bruce is distracted with the “Brucie” act. 

An animal puppy would be one thing, obviously–Damian already has Titus and Alfred the cat, after all, and still insists on regularly visiting Bat-Cow in South Dakota to check up on her and how she’s doing, and also there’s the whole . . . whatever’s going on with Goliath, Tim really doesn’t know what’s going on with Goliath–but a pet puppy . . . 

Yeah, Bruce definitely doesn’t want any pets in the manor. 

Not great for keeping a lid on the secret identities, that.

I became really obsessed with doing the work for myself and doing the work for my kids. They might need or not need and protecting them. Part of that was throwing myself more into Bird Bakery and becoming more aware of our plans. What is our 2 year plan? What is our 5 year plan? 10 year plan? When you have instability in your private life, it is a natural instinct to find stability in your future and I did that. Stability and healing came the priority for me, my children and the company.

I did not have a lot of childhood trauma and I feel really grateful…but my trauma came over the last three years…and when you have trauma it can go one or two ways. I wanted to deal with mine, and I wanted to ensure my children didn’t have to deal with theirs, so I made it literally my mission and life’s work for 3 years to speak with every separation therapist.

I love being a mom. It is the best gift and greatest joy but I got a curveball. As I was learning things, I was thinking “Oh my God, I don’t want them to learn how to read”. Like how can we delay the process of my children learning to read? I never want them to see the Internet.

Step #2 was protecting them from the outside world (really most important thing). Making sure everything is age appropriate also. If we as parents have not done the work, then the kids are finding out things that are not age appropriate.

It’s 100% about my children. It is all about them. They did not choose to come into this world and have trauma a few years later. It became my life’s work to mitigate the trauma in their lives.

A good place to heal is where there is no paparazzi or tabloids. I honestly think that one more might be our safe zone here. It is not like we are hiding but I just want to protect them until they can understand that we are both in really healthy places now.

Royal Caribbean makes a big commitment to 2026/27

Royal Caribbean has just released its 2026 - 2027 cruise schedule with 12 ships in the fleet cruising in US waters.

The voyages feature island hopping cruises, cruises to RCI’s Private Island Coco Cay and the new Royal Beach Club offering at Mexico's Cozumel.

Itineraries also include cruises from the newest ship in the fleet, Star of the Seas as well as her giant sister Icon of the Seas, and the Oasis-class Allure of the Seas, which is due to have a $100 million refurbishment.

Let's start with a new member of the family, Star of the Seas that will cruise from Port Canaveral near Orlando on seven-night voyages.

This is the type of cruising that these giant 200,000 gross ton + ships are best at, which is why you see Star of the Seas on these itineraries all year long, taking in Coco Cay, San Juan, Honduras, and Costa Maya.

Her sister ship, the equally sized Icon of the Seas, will be doing similar voyages from Miami, though she will also take in St Thomas and Philipsburg.

The 2009 built Utopia of the Seas will sail from Fort Lauderdale. As an Oasis-class ship, Allure is one of the biggest ships to ever go to sea, and it will have a $100 million refurbishment in 2025.

This giant cruise ship will sail on 6 and 8 night Western Caribbean, Eastern Caribbean and Southern Caribbean Cruises.

My favourite RCI ship, the Enchantment of the Seas, is about as far away from the Icon and Oasis-class as you can get within the Royal Caribbean family.

This Vision class vessel - which is unique in that she was lengthened in 2005 - will be cruising from Tampa on seven night Western Caribbean cruises.

The Voyager-class Adventure of the Seas will sail from both Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale, on 6 and 8 night Caribbean cruises, that visit Georgetown, Grand Cayman the Dominican Republic and Costa Maya.

Symphony of the Seas is welcoming travellers from Texas, being based out of Galveston, at what RCI says is the world's first Zero Energy Cruise Terminal. It features solar panels to offset electricity usage and EV charging stations.

Brilliance of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas will be offering cruises from Puerto Rico, while the Northeast of the USA is seeing an influx of RCI ships with the giant Oasis of the Seas, the Quantum-class Odyssey of the Seas, and the Freedom-class Independence of the Seas, all cruising from Cape Liberty, while the smaller Vision-class cruise ship Vision of the Seas is cruising from Baltimore.

This ship is the class leader of the Vision class, yet she was the last to enter service of that class, which is unusual.

Yes, we were living in Cayman the last three years. We went back to LA for the summer. And everywhere for the summer.

Island life has been grand…it’s just time to wrap it up and get back to reality.

We can always find any way to justify anything. Mom needs to go back and you guys are going to be happy wherever you are.

Oprah’s been my idol my whole life.

Modeling is so interesting. You don’t have an opinion or a voice. As with TV, you can drive it.

I never enjoyed doing the red carpets. I leave that type of journalism up to you.

Did you ever think you should be the person on the other side….like the person walking the carpet? Honestly when I was in college, there was an acting job that came through the modeling agency, but I have never wanted to be an actor. I don’t understand this. Why are we sitting in trailers for 12 hours when we could be really productive? It didn’t make sense for me to be distracted (by acting).

I thought I was going to wait to open the bakery until after I did The Today Show for 10 years. Thank God I did not wait until I was 55 or 60 to do it. Because you cannot pull 4-5 all nighters per week when you are that age.

I can contribute my television career and success to 30% talent and 70% bribery. I would go in and bomb an audition and come back with Monster Cookies and then I would get a call back because of the cookies.

In my 20s, when I wasn’t raging, I would come back home and bake dozens of cookies.

I am passionate about JIF peanut butter. I am passionate about Helmann’s Mayonnaise. We are not fucking around with these products. We have integrity.

We have been in talks to open up in LA. Talks to open up at The Grove. The Palisades Village. Maybe we will do that when I have more bandwidth some day but right now I am tapped out.

Regarding their meeting: It was good for Armie because he had to work for something.

Ambition is important. I know you want to do something so do something. Either go back to college or go to acting class. I am not interested in someone who is complacent.

I think it was hard for him at the time because I had a boyfriend who was very successful and doing a lot which is the hottest thing to me because I love ambition.
