Thiam Week Day 6: Clothes Sharing
Scott jogged up the steps to the Greyer household and knocked on the door. He was going to take Liam and Theo out to the woods with the rest of the pack since it was the first full moon where they were all together since the older members left for college. The Alpha was looking forward to spending time with his pack members and reestablishing their bonds. He missed being able to run with them so freely.
The door opened and Liam appeared, bleary-eyed and reeking of sex and sleep. He rubbed his eyes and looked at Scott. A smile broke out on his face and he lunged forward, wrapping his arms around his Alpha in a tight hug. “Scott, you’re here!”
Scott laughed and hugged Liam back, trying not to breathe in his scent too much. The sex part of his was stale and faded, meaning it had probably happened the night before or early that morning, hence the smell of sleep. Still, Scott didn’t like thinking of his beta going at it with someone who used to be their enemy. “Good to see you, too, Liam. I missed you guys.”
“We missed you too.” Liam pulled away, still beaming, and it was then that Scott noticed what he was wearing.
“Isn’t that Theo’s sweater?”
Sure enough, the dark blue knitted sweater hung awkwardly off one of Liam’s shoulders and the sleeves came down to his fingertips. Liam blushed and tugged at hem of the sweater self-consciously. “Maybe,” he said slowly, and Scott couldn’t help but chuckle. “It was the first thing I grabbed, okay!” Liam defended himself, blush deepening.
“Babe, who’s at the door?”
Both Liam and Scott turned to see Theo coming down the stairs, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes and smoothing his hair down. He paused when he saw Scott, and nervousness flashed in his eyes. “Scott, hey. Liam didn’t say you were coming for a visit.”
“I decided to surprise everyone,” Scott said with an easy smile. Theo didn’t look anything like the villain he once knew, not like this. He was wearing a pair of black pajama pants with little jack-o-lanterns printed on them, and one of Liam’s larger lacrosse hoodies. His eyes were still lidded with sleep, and he looked almost vulnerable like this. It was hard to imagine that this was the same man who tried to kill them all just over a year ago.
“Are we going running tonight?” Liam asked, practically bouncing in excitement.
Scott chuckled and scruffed Liam’s hair. “Absolutely! I thought you guys would want to hang out a little before that, though.”
“Sure!” Liam chirped, grinning widely. “We have to go get ready first, though. Do you mind waiting?”
“Not at all,” Scott said, and Liam let him into the house.
“Okay, we’ll be back in a second.” Liam grabbed Theo’s hand and hauled the chimera back up the stairs, with Scott laughing in amusement after them.
He may not trust Theo with their lives, but he did trust him with Liam’s heart. And for now, that was enough.

Thiam Week: Soulmate
Liam hated the idea of having a soulmate. It was all a bunch of bullshit. He glanced down at the now darkening tattoo on the inside of his wrist that had appeared on his thirteenth birthday. The three telltale claw marks that looked like ripped skin. He had been so confused when he first noticed them, he couldn’t understand how he had gotten cut but wasn’t bleeding. When his mom noticed, she cried tears of joy. Her little boy was growing up and the universe had finally picked someone just for him! She explained that the tattoo would only ever be three colors: gray, black, or red. Gray when the universe picked your soulmate but you hadn’t met them yet. It changed to black when you met or came into contact with them. And the tattoo would burn and turn red when your soulmate died. She had gotten him all excited for what it would mean for the rest of his life. Unconditional love and support and someone to be with all the time. As a kid, it sounded pretty great.
And then it all changed.  His fourteenth birthday marked the start of a new era for him, he started high school and it was like something in him snapped. He was angry. Angry when he woke up, angry if his pencil broke, just… angry. His stepdad suggested that he try a sport, that maybe it would give him an outlet for his anger. In reality Liam thinks it made it worse. Lacrosse came with so much pressure to perform and be perfect. Liam will never forget the day he had his first outburst. He beat the shit out of someone on his team because they kept messing up the drill. He had a few more outbursts and ended up having to change schools.
Then it all changed again. He had tried to control his anger, even agreed to take medication. Everything was going better… until he got mixed up in some trouble and Scott McCall had bit him. Being a werewolf had its pros and cons. Being a werewolf with an IED was an all-out task. He was constantly fighting a battle with his inner animal. The wolf loved his strength and aggression and Liam could barely control it. What kind of soulmate was going to love him? He was a beast and not a nice one. He could hurt them, and now he would have to take care of someone else. How could he take care of someone else if he could barely take care of himself? He looked down at his wrist again and scowled at it as it was almost fully black now. He had met his soulmate. He closed his eyes and let the finality of it all sink in.
All of his friends had found their soulmates. Mason had found Corey and they sported matching chameleons. Nolan and Gabe had guns, something all his friends laughed about regularly. Hayden’s tree had shown up randomly one day and left Beacon Hills the next day with her soulmate as soon as it turned black. Stiles and Lydia each had half of the infinity symbol that would make up the whole thing if their wrists were placed next to each other. And Scott, well Scott had two. It was extremely rare and Deaton had only ever heard of one other who had it. Turns out true alphas get a second chance if their first anchor dies. Scott had an arrow that had turned red on his left wrist and a black coyote howling at moon on his right, matching the one that appeared on Malia’s wrist a few days ago.
Liam had no idea who it was. There had been so many new people in town due to the hunter’s gearing up for war. Yet another thing adding to his inner wolf’s battle to be let free. He shook his head taking deep breaths trying to get a grip on himself. The more he thought of his soulmate the more anxiety he would have and he couldn’t lose it right now. He promised Scott he would stay in control.
“Whenever you’re done pitying yourself or whatever it is that you’re doing I could use some help.” Theo stated dryly, breaking through his thoughts. He turned his head to glare at the obnoxious chimera as he dragged another sleeping bag over. They were staging a living situation at the zoo as a distraction for Scott, Lydia, and Malia to break in to the hunter’s warehouse.
“If you could just not talk that would be great.” He shot back. But he moved to help Theo with the last few sleeping bags and pillows.
“That would have been possible if the stench of your anger and anxiety hadn’t suffocated me.” Theo replied with a twinkle in his eye telling Liam he was mocking him.
“Are you trying to get me angry?” Liam practically growled as he threw the last sleeping bag down and stood to face Theo.
 “Someone should, we’re about to fight a war. If all of you think you’re going to win by staying calm you’re mistaken.” Leave it to Theo to get him all riled up.
He didn’t know why, but Theo had challenged him the most recently. Every time he was with the chimera, his control was dangerously close to slipping. Until he’d catch Theo’s scent or he would give him a smirk and then suddenly his anger would disappear. It freaked Liam out honestly. The first time it happened Liam had to leave his friends and clear his head, not even his meds could take away the anger like that. He had almost thought that Theo was his anchor, his soulmate, but that thought died quickly when he noticed that Theo didn’t have a tattoo of any color on either wrist. Theo coughed, “You’re doing it again.”
“You’re lucky that sword is gone or I swear- “ Liam was cut off as Theo got in his face.
“What, you’d send me back? Poor you, poor Liam.  You’re stuck with me now.” Theo put his hand down hard on Liam’s shoulder and squeezed. “Now be quiet, or they’ll hear you.” Liam growled in return his eyes flashing yellow a few times. He grabbed Theo’s hand and threw it away from him as he marched away to get some fresh air.
“You promised Scott, you promised Scott” he repeated quietly but the farther away he walked the angrier he got. “The sun, the moon, the truth.” He rushed out hoping it would work like it did when he was actually with Scott. “The sun, the moon, the truth!” He shouted feeling the change coming, claws slowly sliding out. He heard and smelled Theo approach from behind but even Theo’s scent couldn’t bring him back this time… he was too far gone.
“Liam… don’t.” Theo said with warning. Liam’s yellow eyes snapped up to look at him. He started to move, circling Theo.
“This is what you wanted Theo,” he continued circling letting his fangs drop down and the rest of his claws slide out, “you wanted me angry. You wanted me like this.” He smiled darkly as he scented Theo’s adrenaline.
“Liam don’t make me hurt you.” Theo said confidently. “I’d prefer not to, but I will.” Liam charged him or maybe his wolf charged him. Liam couldn’t decide who was who anymore, his animal was out.
He woke up in his bed with a killer headache and groaned. The bed dipped and Theo’s scent wafted up through his nose. Groaning again he opened his eyes to find Theo staring at him.
“What happened.” He asked groggily but thanks to his quick healing and Theo’s scent the headache was already beginning to fade
“You wolfed out and tried to attack me so I had to put you down.” Theo smirked at his choice of words before grabbing Liam’s face and turning it side to side. “Looks like you’ve healed, the bleeding stopped.”
“How many times?” Liam said through gritted teeth as he tried to jerk his head out of Theo’s grasp. The way Theo smiled at him told him he didn’t want to know. He went to get up but Theo pushed him back down to the bed and moved towards the bathroom.
“Five,” he heard Theo chuckle but his scent of worry was confusing him. He walked back with a wet washcloth and threw it Liam. “You might want to wipe the blood from your face and chest, your mom is on her way up.” Liam heard her footsteps coming up the stairs and looked down to see that he A. didn’t have a shirt on and B. was in fact covered with dried blood. Quickly wiping himself off he glanced over at Theo and noticed he was wearing one of his sweatshirts.
“Why don’t I have a shirt on and why are you wearing one of my hoodies?” Liam said in a rushed whisper as his mom approached his door. Theo just shook his head and put a finger to his lips in the universal sign of be quiet and then put his hands together and laid his head on them telling Liam to pretend to sleep. He had just flopped on his side when his door opened, and his mom came in.
She walked over to him and pushed his hair back from his face in a sweet soothing motion. Liam tried to keep his breathing as even as possible so she would leave without seeing Theo. His mom went to go tuck his blanket over him some more when she suddenly screamed. Shit she saw Theo, he bolted upright ready to come up with some bullshit excuse for why there was someone in his room when she grabbed his wrist and turned his side lamp on.
“You found them! You found your soulmate!” She exclaimed excitingly her heart beating a mile a minute but it was the second fastest next to Theo’s. Weird. “Honey I’m so happy for you. Tell me all about them!”
Liam went to open his mouth when he saw bright yellow eyes suddenly appear in the corner of his room. He shook his head in that direction telling Theo to stay put. His mom thought it was for her and shoved his wrist in his face.
“Liam Dunbar don’t you dare lie to me the proof is the BLACK ink on your arm.” He sighed closing his eyes quickly.
“I don’t know who it is mom. It just happened today.” He looked up into her eyes and saw pure excitement. “Why are you up so late?” He questioned, his mom was always in bed by 10pm. Unless he had been out for longer than Theo let on.
She looked at him strangely for a second and responded “Honey, it’s 6am. I’m leaving for work but I wanted to say bye because your stepfather and I are leaving for that medical conference this weekend.” Liam nodded vaguely remembering her telling him about this earlier in the week. “I left money on the counter for food. We’ll be back late Sunday night.” With that she kissed his fore head and got up to leave. Before she closed his door she poked her head back in and said, “I can’t wait to hear all about your soulmate when we get back! I’m sure you’ll have met him or her by then!”
Liam out a sigh of relief when he heard her go down the stairs and out the front door to her car. Theo stepped out of the corner looking like he just ate something sour and was scratching at his wrist. “What’s your problem?” He spat out. “You almost gave yourself away AND gave me being a werewolf away.”
“Nothing. I gotta go.” Theo said with almost zero emotion still picking at something on his wrist.
“You never answered why you were wearing my sweatshirt.” Liam caught him right as Theo reached for the door knob. Theo froze. Taking two deep breaths before he spun around quickly taking the sweatshirt off.
“You ruined my last shirt when you let the wolf control you. Fuck! Here take it,” Liam was suddenly hit in the face with the sweatshirt as it flew across the room. Before he could even say anything Theo was out the door and down the stairs. What in the hell got in to him?
That same night Scott called a pack meeting. They were all sitting around discussing strategies because they knew the war would be happening within the next 48 hours thanks to the tip from Nolan and Gabe, the pack’s double agents. The tension was so thick you could feel it everywhere in town and it had finally reached a tipping point. Everyone had a solemn expression on their face even Peter and Derek who had showed up at the last minute. The only person who didn’t say anything the whole meeting was Theo. He leaned against the wall in the back staring blankly at another wall. Something was wrong.
Eventually Scott had decided everyone should get some sleep and Liam watched as he leaned over to whisper to Malia and gave her a quick peck. As everyone stood Liam went to go ask Theo what his deal was but Scott had beat him to the sulking chimera. “Can I talk to you for a second?” Scott asked earning just a simple nod from Theo as he followed him out of the house. Corey and Mason came over and started talking to him about his now black tattoo trying to lighten the mood a little.
“So who do you think it is?” Mason asked excitedly as Corey grabbed his hand and pulled it up for a kiss.
Liam shrugged. “I honestly have no clue. I haven’t spent time with or even really run into anyone new.” Corey and Mason shared a glance and then both looked back to him.
“Do you think…” Mason said just as Corey started with “Have you thought…” they both paused and laughed making Liam give a small smile at how connected they were. “What we are trying to say is do you think it could be Theo?” Corey finally spit out. A weird feeling hit Liam and he didn’t know what it was.
“No, he doesn’t have a tattoo anywhere.” He murmured with a shake of his head. Corey let out a snort as Mason got a devious look in his eyes.
 “Anywhere? Just how much exactly of Theo’s body have you seen?” Mason questioned. Liam blushed and stuttered.
“Seriously? Not much. We don’t even spend that much time together.” He added with a hint of something like sadness in his voice. What the fuck was happening to him. Ever since he woke up from Theo knocking him out he had been doing and saying weird things. Like for example… the sweatshirt that Theo had been wearing earlier… was now currently on him because he felt he couldn’t leave the house without his scent after Theo had stormed out upset about something.
Mason raised an eyebrow at him and Liam made a hand gesture for him to say whatever it was that he was holding back. “Dude… you and Theo have been together every day since the Ghost Riders.” Liam thought back on it. Okay maybe Mason had a point but that’s was because he felt the need to make sure that Theo didn’t fuck his pack over again. He was just checking on him… right?
He was about to say something when Scott walked back in the house without Theo drawing his attention. “I have to go.” He said quickly to his best friends. He asked Scott where Theo was playing it off like he wanted a ride home and when Scott told him Theo went to scout the woods he freaked. He tried to follow Theo’s scent but lost it deep in the think forrest. His phone vibrated so he pulled it out to look at the text, surprised when he read Theo’s name.
Go home. His head snapped up and he looked everywhere around him trying to sniff the air to catch a scent. His fingers moving fast against the keyboard Where are you?!
His phone vibrated almost instantly. LIAM GO THE FUCK HOME. THERE’S HUNTERS OUT HERE. He read the texts and looked up from his phone again trying to listen for a heartbeat and found a faint one but it wasn’t Theo’s. GO NOW. Popped up on his phone and he started moving in the direction he came from but not quick enough. He heard a gunshot and was on his knees before he knew it, the pain hitting him like a truck making him roar. He heard a deeper roar come from behind him and then the world went black.
Ow fuck fuck fuck ow it’s burning oh my god. Liam’s eyes fluttered open as he was placed on a cold metal table in the animal clinic. He watched as a frantic Theo ran back and forth from the cabinets looking for anything to help stop the bleeding. He groaned and Theo shot back to him.
“You’re so fucking stupid. God damn it Liam.” He snarled as he pushed a towel down on the 3 gaping holes in his chest. Liam started gasping for air as pain sliced through him and he cried out with half a human yell half roar. Deaton came around the corner with a bunch of tools that had his wolf biting back a snarl.
“The bullets are burrowing.” Deaton said calmly. “We need to get them out of him now.” Deaton said glancing at Theo. “I can’t because they’re moving. I need you to dig them out.” Theo’s face dropped.
“Wh..what?” Liam managed to gasp out. “He..he c-can’t. Digthemout.” Still squirming and stuttering from the pain.
“Theo, now. Any further and the wolfs bane will hit his organs.” Liam watched as Theo’s claws popped out. Theo shakily dug one nail in the bullet hole and dragged his nail down cutting Liam’s chest open making him scream out in pain. As in Theo screamed out in pain. He pulled his hand back and ripped his shirt open exposing his wrist showing a black ink claw mark ripping its way through his skin. “Theo you have to keep going!” Deaton yelled.
Theo went to the second hole digging his nail in again and started to rip down to the bullet finding it and pulling it out. Both he and Liam gasped and sputtered at the pain. One more claw mark started to etch its way up Theo’s wrist. Liam passed out, the pain finally becoming too much for him. Theo gritted his teeth through the burning sensation currently splitting his arm open and dug into Liam’s last bullet wound.
Deaton worked fast patching up the holes and wiping the blood mixed with wolfs bane from Liam’s skin. Theo sank to the floor and stared at his wrist in disbelief. The dread doctors told him he wouldn’t be able to find a soulmate because he traded his soul to them. He was product of the doctors and therefore no longer privy to the benefits of the universe.
He sat there staring blankly even as Scott and the rest of the pack rushed in to check on Liam. He sat there when Corey and Mason came to talk to him. He sat there while Scott thanked him for saving Liam. He sat there when Lydia squatted down next to him pulled his, now tattooed, wrist away from his body and looked at it. She looked up at him and then glanced towards Liam and then smiled back at him sweetly, patted him on the shoulder and said “You’ll be good for him.”
Liam let the scents filter through him as he slowly started to wake up. Theo, worry, blood, Theo, pack, Theo. Theo, he let his scent take over and it encouraged him to open his eyes slowly. When he finally managed to get them open, everything came rushing back to him.
He was shot, Theo cutting him open, and the tattoo. HOLY SHIT the tattoo! He sat up so fast that he groaned wincing at the pain thundering in his chest. He found Theo sitting on the floor next to the metal table he was on with his head in his hands. Liam swung his legs over the edge and jumped down hissing at the pain. The sound must have caught Theo’s attention because he slowly picked his head up and then rushed to his feet to put Liam back on the table.
“Are you trying to cause yourself more pain?” Theo said harshly. “God why don’t you ever just do what you’re supposed to do,” and then more quietly “, what you’re told to do.” Liam grabbed his arm and tried to pull it towards him, but Theo fought it. Liam pulled harder and Theo finally let him have it exposing his wrist.
Liam gasped and traced the three claw marks that resembled his own making Theo shudder. He dropped Theo’s arm and choked out a “How” as he looked up and met Theo’s eyes. Theo shook his head, stepped back still staring into Liam’s eyes, and then began to explain what the dread doctors told him. He listened as Theo explain the pain he went through while cutting Liam open. And then they sat in silence. Liam was unsure how much time had passed before Deaton came in but he jumped as he wasn’t ready for it.
“You know that the soulmate mark has to mean something to each person. For Liam it was that he was going to be and be with a supernatural being. For Theo I’m guessing his didn’t show up until he was ready to care for someone more than himself.” Deaton said looking between the two. “Theo you couldn’t stand to hurt him, which is what sparked your soulmate mark to present itself. It symbolized the pain you caused Liam and it manifested making your soulmate mark appear in the same way.”
 Liam and Theo looked at each other and then back to Deaton. “Ooookay, well now that we’ve got that cleared up… I’m going to take Liam home.” Theo said standing up and helping Liam off the table. They went to walk out the front door and were greeted by the whole pack. Liam grabbed Theo’s hand and squeezed, both silently reassuring him and also telling him he wasn’t ready for all this because he was still in pain. Everyone stared at their intertwined hands and waited for Scott to speak. When he finally did both Liam and Theo sighed in relief, “We just wanted to check to make sure you were okay Liam. We also wanted to say congrats-“ Stiles grumbled something and Lydia smacked him upside the head, “congrats on finding your soulmate.” Scott finished.
Corey and Mason hugged him ignoring his silent inhale of pain. Theo pulled him back to his side and started walking towards his truck. When they got to Liam’s house he noticed how tired Theo looked. So he walked upstairs knowing that Theo would follow and sat down on his bed. Theo followed suit and sat down and then gave in and laid down finally showing his exhaustion.
He didn’t know how to feel. He didn’t want a soulmate. He didn’t want someone to take care of, someone to have to protect from himself. “Could you hurry up and get done with your over analyzing everything, I could really use some sleep.” Theo opened his eyes to smirk at Liam and then snuggled deeper in to the bed taking a deep breath in.
“Did you just smell my bed?” Liam asked in disbelief at lighthearted Theo. He had never seen this side to him before and he didn’t know how to react. Theo was his soulmate now though so maybe -
“You’re doing it again.” He sighed. “And yes, you smell good.” Liam laid down next to him and blurted out his thoughts.
“I didn’t want a soulmate.” He felt Theo freeze, sharply inhale, and then realized how it sounded. “No, no, no I didn’t mean it like I don’t want you. I do want you! Oh my god.” He covered his face with his hands. “I just meant that I didn’t want anyone to be stuck with a defective/broken mate.” He whispered out.
He felt the bed shake, and then it shook some more when Theo let out an uncontrollable laughter. “God making you squirm is so fun. I know you want me; I can smell it.” He said as he winked. “But you’re not broken. Ah ah and before you try to fight me on this just remember that you’re a future alpha. You got this.” Theo wiped his fingers across Liam’s lips.  Liam leaned up and brushed his lips tentatively against Theo’s. The spark that ran through them both was enough to have them pulling away from the kiss breathing heavily. Both opened their eyes to find their animals staring back.
“But don’t for one second let yourself think that you have power over me.” Theo stated while pulling Liam’s hair at the back of his neck. “I’m still older and stronger than you baby wolf.” And then he kissed him hard. Liam kissed him back just as hurried, like the world was ending and this was the last time they would be together. Because who knows, with the hunter’s around, it just might be. Except he would die trying to keep his soulmate from leaving him. He just got him and he wasn’t planning on losing him.
Theo nipped his lip, “Stop thinking Liam.” Theo’s scent flooded over him and made his wolf snarl. Theo rolled on top of him and smirked. “There he is, there’s the baby wolf I love.”

The Best Kind
No one really felt comfortable under undisturbing stares, and Liam really didn't feel comfortable under them. Especially when he didn't know why everyone was staring. Like now. Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Malia had stared at him the second he entered the McCall's kitchen like he had grown a second head overnight - or in the 3 months he hadn't seen any of them. He sat on the first available stool at the kitchen counter, trying to ignore the stares to no avail.
He hadn't seen any of the older member since they all left for college a few months ago, and here they were staring at him without so much as an hello. They could scratch their asses for him to say it first thank you very much.
He was spending too much time with Theo wasn't he?
"Hi. Theo said he's gonna be late." He half mumbled, half sighed, unable to look anyone in the eyes.
Liam heard a scoff from Stiles, what sounded close to a "he's not even pack", and he snapped his head back up, only to be met once again with the stares of his friends. Lydia was looking at him with a raise eyebrow as Stiles and Malia were definitely glaring at him, a look of betrayal in their eyes. And Scott was looking at him with... Was this shock? Why would he be looking at Liam with shock? The beta was getting more frustrated by the seconds, a feel of anger taking over him slowly. But all it took him was to breath in the scent coming from the jacket he was wearing to calm down.
"Ok, I've had enough. Why are you all looking at me like that?" He almost snapped, refraining himself from doing so at the last second.
Scott cleared his throat, clearly hesitating, opening his mouth once, then closing it. Twice.
The third time was the good one.
"Is that Theo's jacket?" He asked slowly, attirculating each word, sounding almost scared of his own words.
"Well yes, why?" Liam frowned, raising an eyebrow. What the hell was so important and scary about that.
Before Scott, or any of the others could answer, loud laughers made themselves heard, and a second later Mason and Corey were entering the house, holding hands as usual.
"Hey everyone!" Corey smiled brightly, his hand never letting go of Mason's. He stopped dead in his track, his smile faltering a little when he saw everyone's face, Mason almost bumping into him. "Did someone died?"
Mason looked around over his boyfriend's shoulder, noticing everyone staring at Liam, whispering an "Intense."
"I don't know, they're all acting weird because I'm wearing Theo's jacket." Liam shrugged, his frowning deepening when Malia growled a little and Stiles scoffed again at his answer. He turned to his best friend and Corey, his eyes clearly transmetting his confusion. "See?" He muttered, at which Mason answered with his very own confused look.
"What? Why?" The human asked, looking at the older pack members like they were crazy.
"You're actually not surprise by this?" Lydia asked. "At all?"
"They've been sharing their clothes all the time for months." Mason simply shrugged. "I think yesterday Theo was wearing Liam's lacrosse hoodie? Or was it Monday?" He asked, turning to his boyfriend.
"No, yesterday it was Liam's red and green flannel." Corey corrected with a smile, laughing slightly. "Pretty sure, Theo is moping when he doesn't smell like Liam."
"It's an usual thing?!" Stiles half yelled, almost choking on his own saliva.
"Why do you all act like I killed a baby - or worst - a puppy?" Liam sighed, his hands flying up to prove his point.
"Well, you definitely look like you would do it when you don't have Theo's smell around." Mason snickered, earning gapes from all around the room.
"Not helping my case, Mase." Liam sighed.
"You mean... Theo." Scott started, sounding half strangled. "Is... Your anchor?"
"Theo, murderous psychopath, Theo?" Stiles added. "How the hell did that happened?" He asked, his hands flying around nervously.
Liam didn't answered and turned for the door, catching a familiar scent before even hearing the low sound of Theo's truck's motor. He smiled brightly when barely a minute later, Theo, wearing a dark red hoodie that couldn't be mistaken for anyone else's than Liam's, entered the room.
"Why do I feel like I'll get murder if I stay here." He asked lightly, walking in like he owned the place, ignoring Malia's enthousiastic "I volunteer", and going straight to Liam to ruffle his hair. "Hey Little Wolf. Your mom said to pick up pizzas when we're on our way back."
Liam batted his hand away, whining. "Do you know how long it took me to get my hair right? Stop ruffling them like that."
"Yes, the time it took you to finally leave the bathroom so I could shower, making me late." Theo smiled at Liam.
"Did Theo just... smiled?" Scott gasped, looking between his beta and the chimera.
"THEY LIVE TOGETHER?" Yelled Stiles, looking like he would faint any second.
"Stiles... I think they're together, together." Lydia said slowly, hesitating.
"WHAT?"
A second later, Lydia's point was proven, Liam taking a handfull of his own hoodie, drawing Theo into a full kiss. Stiles totally fainted, Lydia barely catching him to help him sit on a chair, Scott tripped on his own feet, face planting onto the ground while Malia just gaped at them, frotting her eyes to make sure it wasn’t an halucination.
“So…” Mason started, looking at his best friend once he separated from Theo, both of them looking lovestrucked “I guess you didn’t tell them about you and Theo?”
Liam turned his head to look at Mason, one of his trademark bright and dopey smile on his face, his hand slowly moving from the back of Theo’s head where they had previously found their way, to take a hold of Theo’s, playing with the chimera’s finger. “I couldn’t just text them something like : oh hey, I told Theo I loved him and broke his nose, he punched me in the face too and said he loved me back and then fucked me all seven ways to Hell, could I?”
“He kind of has a point.” Corey laughed, followed my Mason who finally agreed.
“I think they would have actually killed me.” Theo laughed slightly, burying his nose in Liam’s neck, breathing in the mix of their sent on his jacket and the beta’s skin. He straightened up to look into Liam’s blue eyes, a smirk on his lips. “Also, a hell joke? Really Liam?”
“The best kind.” Liam answered brightly, tugging Theo in for another kiss, tuning everyone else out.

SO AM I!! I totally forgot what this prompt said and just remembered ‘theo does the wolf’ and wanted to do something for day 1 of thiam week and came up wih this. So here it is, a fic you definitely did not ask for but i’m too tired to really think about that right now. (I am so sorry)
“I can do it.” Liam eyes snapped to Theo as his voice echoed through the room.
“What?” Liam asked.
“I can find the werewolves.” Theo said calmly.
“Really?” Stiles asked, voice dripping in disbelief. “You came up with a plan?”
“Yes.”
“Alright, well lets hear it then.”
“I join their pack.”
“What?” The unanimous reply came.
“You heard me.” Theo said. “I can shift into a wolf. They’ll let me join them.”
“You think if you doggy swim over to them they’re just going to say Hey join our pack?” Stiles scoffed.
“Yes. Something tells me their membership standards aren’t exactly high.”
“You want to join them?”
“You said you can’t get close enough to find where they actually take the humans they abduct. But I could.”
“That’s the worst plan I’ve ever heard.” Liam said seriously. “You remember how they almost murdered Scott when he walked near them right, and he’s an alpha. If you walk in they’ll-”
“Liam’s right, it’s a sucky plan.” Stiles said Liam nodded happily. “But it’s also the best plan we’ve got. I say we try it.”
“Wait what?” Liam hissed. “No! You agreed it’s an awful plan!”
“Okay, if we’re doing this then we need an exact plan.” Scott sighed.
“And contingencies. I’d rather not know you’re winging it when I’m trapped with the murder pack.” Theo said.
*
It was the worst plan they’d ever had and that was saying a lot. Liam shifted in his seat, glaring at the small tracker beeping away on Stiles’s phone.
“This is a terrible plan.”
“Theo’s up for it.” Stiles said with a shrug. “If anyone can pull it off it’ll be that conniving manipulative little bas-”
“He could die.” Liam said, for the thousandth time. Scott turned in his seat, eyebrows of concern landing on Liam.
“It was his plan, Liam. He wouldn’t do it if he thought that he’d get himself killed.” Liam opened his mouth, ready to argue. He knew it was Theo’s plan, he’d been there fighting against the stupid plan until he’d been sent to get some food so they could come up with a real plan and came back to a pile of clothes, a guilty-looking Scott and Theo’s fading scent. “We don’t know what they’re doing to Mason.” Scott said and Liam’s mouth snapped shut, teeth grinding together.
“Exactly.” He said after a moment. “Which is why we need a better plan. We know he’s alive, but if this goes wrong-”
“Theo’s got this. It’s like you’ve been saying, he’s changed.” Scott said, Liam let out a frustrated groan, of course, Scott would finally agree with Liam that Theo was on the path to redemption when he was either going to get himself or Mason killed.
Liam ran a hand through his hair trying to calm his breathing. This was without a doubt the worst Christmas break he’d ever had. It had all been going fine for about two days until people had started disappearing and they found out about the maucoba pack, a pack of full shift werewolves who apparently enjoyed hunting humans for sport.
They wouldn’t kill them, at least not at first. From what they understood it was some wolf versus human hunger games. They’d kidnap humans and then, when they saw fit set them free again, wait for them to run and then go after them.
The idea of it turned Liam’s stomach even before Mason had been taken the scent of wolves and clumps of fur left around his car.
Knowing Mason was in danger was bad enough, he didn’t need a half-cocked plan that rested entirely on Theo following and infiltrating them long enough to find Mason and then challenging the alpha so the wolves were distracted until the McCall pack managed to sneak up to fight.
Liam eyed the hunters in the cars behind them.
“This is a terrible plan.” He said again.
“Mason will be okay. I promise.”
“And what about Theo?” Liam snapped, because sure, he knew Mason would be okay. Theo wouldn’t let anyone touch him while he was there and then Liam would be there to keep him safe and he’d die before he let another stupid werewolf put an oversized paw on his best friend. But Theo was his friend too and Theo was walking into a pack of volatile werewolves alone.
“Theo can take care of himself.” Stiles said bitterly. Liam snorted because fuck no Theo couldn’t take care of himself. The last time Scott and Stiles had seen Theo the idiot had been sleeping in his truck and too dumb to think to mention it to any of them.
If he doesn’t die I’m going to kick his ass when we get home Liam thought.
God, he wanted to just be home. In his room with Mason and Corey playing games and Theo stretched across Liam’s bed watching it all with eye rolls as if he didn’t have his own room five feet down the hall
A howl tore through the sky, floating on the wind.
“That’s Theo!” Liam said, sticking his head between the front seats.
“Oh you think?” Stiles snorted.
“Stiles drive!” Liam yelled.
*
As much as Liam hated the stupid plan he stuck to it. He ignored the howling of the wolves around him and the answering gunfire and followed Mason’s scent. It was his job to get the humans to safety, or at least, to get Stiles to the humans so he could circle them in mountain ash so they couldn’t be touched by werewolves until the fight was over.
He could hear Mason’s heartbeat, thumping rapidly, his voice quiet and shaky as he tried to explain to terrified humans why they should stay calm despite the gunfire and angry wolves flying every direction.
Liam stumbled through the tree’s, he was getting closer. His eyes locked on the mouth to a cave, Mason’s voice still echoing from inside it. They lowered slowly his throat constricting as he spotted the two wolves outside of it.
He knew, even without a scent, that one of them was Theo. His back to the cave hackles up and sharp fangs on show as he growled deep and low, eyes sparking amber. The other wolf had his back to Liam and Stiles, towering over Theo by at least half a foot with silky looking honey fur that Liam thought had no right looking so soft.
Stiles was silent, not a single of the dog jokes Liam knew he wanted to shout out to the wolfed out Theo passing his lips, barely even a breath.
The alpha moved slowly, low to the ground taking a step towards the cave. Theo moved forwards, gnashing his teeth spittle flying making him look rabid.
Liam eyed the tree’s either side of the cave, they needed to get inside. If they could get inside Stiles could place the barrier and then Mason and the others would be safe. The alpha and the other wolves wouldn’t be able to get in. He leaned forwards trying to peer through the trees and see if there was a route that would somehow keep them unnoticed. The bushes rustled as his arm brushed past low-hanging leaves. The alpha’s head snapped towards them, growl rumbling like thunder.
“We should ru-” Stiles started. The alpha moved, spinning on its paws and leaping towards him. Liam’s claws were out in a moment. He’d been told not to fight them but he was sure he could make an exception when one was flying at his face.
The Alpha didn’t make it to him. Theo crashing into it, sending the two wolves slamming into the floor with snarls and yelps as Theo’s teeth clamped down on the other wolfs leg dragging it across the forest floor, head shaking from side to side like a puppy with a chew toy as Theo made room for Liam and Stiles to go past.
They took the chance, sprinting across the clearing. Liam refused to let himself look back and figure out whether it was Theo or the alpha whining in pain until he was inside the cave. Stiles threw the line of mountain ash down the second they passed the mouth.
Liam barely had time to turn back around to look before the Alpha was slamming itself into the wall of mountain ash, flying back like he’d been blasted. Liam’s eyes moved to the edge of the clearing, locking on Theo as he pushed himself back up, blood stained the white patch of fur on his chest as he growled again, stalking towards the Alpha.
Liam was yanked backward suddenly, his eyes widening as he was smothered in a hug his hands came up instantly, patting Mason’s back, shoulders drooping in relief.
“Hey.” Liam breathed. Mason pulled back with a grimace.
“You know how I used to say I wanted to be like Mowgli and live with wolves.”
“Yeah.”
“I was so wrong.” Mason said. Liam laughed weakly, eyes moving back to outside the cave. Theo and the alpha circling each other slowly. Despite the alpha’s bloody hind leg and obvious limp Liam still, couldn’t help but notice how unfairly matched they were. Theo wasn’t even a real wolf, he was a chimera. He looked like the runt of the litter next to to the hulking Alpha.
“Theo, don’t fight it. Run.” Liam hissed. Theo’s eyes stayed trained on the alpha, paws moving in a soft pattern barely ruffling the leaves as he stepped.
“Do not run!” Stiles hissed. “Don’t give him bad advice Liam.”
“That thing will kill him-”
“You think it won’t if he turns his back on it?” Stiles said.
“That’s Theo?” Mason asked.
The alpha moved, diving towards Theo who barely dodged the snap of teeth. Liam’s could barely keep up with the two wolves as they fought. The gunfire stopped as the howling of wolves came to an end. Liam heard Scott’s heartbeat creeping closer, the footsteps of hunters as they followed the final sounds of the fight. Liam could feel his hands shaking, mind counting down the seconds for the hunters to reach them, for the Alpha to be well and truly surrounded and for Theo to be able to back away, to turn back into a human so Liam could kick his ass for doing something as stupid as infiltrating a pack of feral wolves. An animalistic and bone-chilling screech tore through the night air as the alpha’s claws drove deep into Theo’s side sending him crashing to the floor.
“THEO!” Liam took off, trying to make it to Theo, to do something, when he slammed into the barrier, he hit the floor with a heavy thump as Argent unloaded a clip of bullets into the alpha. Liam scrambled back up. “Stiles! The barr-” Stiles was already on it, kicking the mountain ash out of place. Liam ran, darting around the still twitching Alpha as he skidded to a stop beside Scott. Theo was already shifting back, bones clicking into place leaving Liam grimacing as bloody fur turned into bloody skin.
“Mother fucker.” Theo whined, hand pressing against the gaping claw wounds on his side.
“Are you okay?” Liam gasped.
“I could use some pants and a rabies shot.” Theo groaned Scott let out a bubble of laughter. Liam swallowed the bile in his throat.
“He’ll be fine.” Scott snorted.
“Unfortunately,” Stiles whispered.
*
“You’re an idiot.” Liam said stiffly. Theo’s lips twisted in a smug smirk that vanished the moment he moved from his place perched on the end of his bed, replaced with a pained grimace.
“I’m fine.” Theo insisted.
“Your wounds are bleeding again.” Liam said stiffly eyes running down to Theo’s chest, clean white bandages dotting with blood.
“It’s from an alpha. It’ll take a few days to heal.” Theo said. Liam eyed Theo’s too pale skin, gaze catching on the sweat glistening on his skin, the way his muscles were pulled tight beneath it. He let out a sigh finally moving from the door frame where he’d spent the last three minutes glaring at Theo as he tried to pretend he wasn’t as hurt as he looked. Liam sat on the bed beside Theo, careful not to jostle the bed too much, even so Theo winced, face twisting and breath stuttering.
“You shouldn’t have risked it.” Liam said, staring at Theo’s hands, curled into fists on his lap. “You could have died.”
“And I didn’t.”
“But you could ha-”
“And Mason would have!” Theo growled. Liam let out a huff, things were far easier when Theo was just a selfish asshole. Theo took a shaky breath, eyes shut tight as he no doubt tried to stop the pain shooting through his side. Liam glared at the bloody bandages, stuck between wanting to say that Theo deserved it for the dumbass plan and checking if the chimera was alright. Slowly Theo blinked his eyes open. Liam drew his eyes to meet Theo’s with a frown. “You let me into this pack. Your pack and Mason’s a part of that. I’m not letting him die when I can do-”
Liam didn’t let Theo finish, diving forwards to slam their lips together, frustration pouring into the kiss as he nipped on Theo’s lower lip. Theo returned it instantly as if they’d done it a thousand times. It was hard to remember the hadn’t when his hands were cupping Theo’s cheeks and pulling him closer, mouths moving seamlessly as Liam felt the edges of someone else’s pain seeping into him.
Theo pulled back after a moment, eyes blown wide skittering across Liam’s face. Liam licked his lips, ignoring the frantic thump of his heart.
“You know you don’t have to kiss someone to take their pain right?” Theo said, lips twitching in a small smile.
“I wasn’t trying to take your pain. I just wanted to kiss you.” Liam grumbled bitterly. Theo’s breath stuttered. “I don’t want Mason dying but that doesn’t mean I want you dying for him either. You should have listened to me, we should have come up with something safer. So next time, don’t be a dumbass.” Theo nodded mutely, eyes flickering down to Liam’s lips, before he was leaning closer, slow breaths puffing soft and warm against Liam’s lips. Liam forced his heart to stay steady.
“I won’t be a dumbass.” Theo promised. “You kissed me.”
“I did.”
“Does that mean I can kiss you?” Theo asked, lips twitching in a smirk. Liam answered it with his own. Theo shifted closer.
“Not tonight you can’t.” Liam breathed, he stood up quickly leaving Theo almost overbalancing. “I’m still far too pissed with you.”
“So what? Your revenge is blue balls?” Theo snorted.
“Yes.” Liam said seriously stalking out of the room ignoring Theo’s indignant complaints.

Rules of fake dating me | Thiam Week Day 2
Fake Relationship
College AU: A breakup and a party encounter lead to the whole college campus thinking Liam is dating Theo Raeken, president of the rivaling frat of Liam’s ex. Well, nobody said college life was easy, right?
"You need to get laid again!”
With this very bold statement, Mason had barged into Liam’s dorm room and snatched the controller from his best friend’s hand. He ignored Liam’s indignant squeak and went on to explain that it had been six weeks since Gabe had broken up with Liam and it was time Liam started socializing again. Liam’s objections that he went to his classes, met with his study group and his friends were rewarded with an eye roll and Mason continuing to pick out clothes for Liam to wear tonight.
“That’s all fine and dandy but you need to show Gabe what he’s missing out. Even if it’s just for one night, go out and have fun. You know the saying: The fastest way to get over somebody is to get under somebody else!” He had stated, shoved the clothes into Liam’s arm and slammed the door to the bathroom in Liam’s face. Only his threat to drag Liam under the shower by himself made Liam finally move around the bathroom and start getting ready.
And here they were: At the Iota Alpha Chi house, the frat Mason’s boyfriend Corey was part of, and Mason had made Liam promise to stay at least two hours and actually try to have fun, maybe even flirt with a nice guy or gal. Which was easier said than done. It wasn’t so much that he was heartbroken but the way Gabe had ended things had abated Liam’s pride. Not easy not do when your boyfriend of almost a year told you he just didn’t saw any use in their encounter anymore. Being with Liam had been a nice pastime but now he wanted to do other things. So yes, Liam’s pride was hurt and even after six weeks, it still stung. He had avoided everything related to Gabe or his frat Rho Gamma Zeta and only had agreed to come to the party because he expected not to meet any Rho guy at an Iota party. The two frats didn’t get along in the slightest, having a constant rivalry and more than once Gabe had been disapproved of Liam spending time with Corey since he was part of Iota. Liam never really cared about all that, he wasn’t part of a frat, but since he was in a relationship with Gabe, he was siding with Rho obviously. He still kept a good friendship with Corey but Gabe took the rivalry really to a new level.
Liam pushed through the crowd and collided with another person. Luckily he was able to save his beer before it could spill to the ground but when he looked up to the face of the other person, he almost dropped his red solo cup. “Hey, Gabe.” He finally muttered.  “Liam! Fancy, seeing you here. I mean, guess I should have expected it. Now that you can’t attend Rho parties anymore, you have to settle for that, huh?”
Liam resisted the urge to roll his eyes. “You’re here too. So are your friends.” He nodded over to the guys gathered behind Gabe and Gabe shrugged. “Have to keep an eye on the competition, right? Make the party better than it is.” “Uh uh.” Liam said jaw clenched. A part of him wanted to punch Gabe in his smug face. Asshole! “Doesn’t this constant rivalry get boring after a while?” He asked, trying to keep his cool and sipped on his beer. “I mean, it’s kind of childish.” It had been one of the topics they always fought over. Liam liked competition, especially on the lacrosse field, but this war between the fraternities was just too silly for him.  Now Gabe reacted the way he usually did. He frowned. “Liam, we talked about this more than once. If you didn’t get it until now, you probably never will. Not that I expect you to.” As always when this topic came up, he made Liam feel stupid, like a dumb kid, and Liam hated it. He narrowed his eyes. “Stop making it sound like I’m dumb.” “Aren’t you? I mean, you’re friends with Iota.” “You...”
“Gabe! I knew it was you when somebody told me they saw some losers hanging around.” A voice sounded up behind Liam and then he felt a hand on his shoulder. Somebody stepped closer to him and when Liam turned his head, he was faced with no other than Theo Raeken, president of Iota. They had met several times during his relationship with Gabe or when he and Mason visited Corey at the frat house but they never had any real interaction until now. What Liam knew about Theo though, was how little he liked Gabe.  “Did I miss something? As far as I know, nobody invited you into this conversation.” Gabe snarled back. He didn’t like Theo either. “So, leave and let Liam and me have a civil conversation.”
“Didn’t the two of you break up a while ago? And he’s still pretending he likes talking to you? That’s actually impressive.” Theo squeezed Liam’s shoulder and Liam blinked in surprise. He had not expected Theo to keep track on his relationship, to be honest. Gabe seemed to have the same thought because he laughed sneeringly.
“Are you so desperate you keep track on other people’s love life now? Guess it’s the only option if you don’t get any, hm?” “I get more than enough, not that this is any of your business,” Theo replied calmly. “And it was more out of admiration for Liam’s ability to tolerate you. That’s some tough shit.” He flashed Liam a smile and Liam could not help but return it. When he returned his attention back to Gabe he saw the annoyed crease of his brow at the smile and a part of Liam enjoyed this more than anything. Gabe obviously didn’t like his ex-boyfriend and rival to get along so well.
“Well, Liam obviously liked the year I gave him. He was pretty devastated when I broke up with him.”
Okay, rude! Liam had not been happy but devastated was a pretty strong word, okay? How could he have missed how arrogant Gabe had been the whole year long? He glared at the dark haired boy and huffed. “I wasn’t devastated.” He corrected and sipped on his beer to resist the urge to punch Gabe once more.  “Keep telling yourself that.” One of Gabe’s companions called out. He had also been there when Gabe ended their relationship. Another nice part about the breakup: It had been in front of the whole frat. “Well, maybe he was kind of bummed in the beginning. The hour after your breakup must have been hard for hi., I’m sure.” Theo cut in, voice taunting. “Luckily he got over it the minute I asked him out.”
Liam almost choked on his beer. He could not believe Theo had just said that! He knew Gabe and Theo butted heads every time they met but that was completely surprising, apparently for everyone involved, because Gabe stared at him gobsmacked.  “You two are dating now?” He finally asked incredulously. And Liam gulped down his beer, eyes narrowing at the judgemental tone in his ex’ voice. Like he was disgusted by the sheer thought.
“We are.”
Liam was surprised when it was his voice which sounded up. Had he just jumped on the thing Theo started? He had not even thought about it but Gabe judging them both and his arrogant behavior prior had riled him up enough. Now he felt Theo’s hand soft stroking through the hair on the back of his neck and a soft shiver ran down Liam’s spine. The touch felt good, he had to admit it. Maybe he was touch starved?
Gabe’s mouth curved into a derisive smirk. “Good, Liam, I was aware you were devastated by our breakup but settling with Theo? That’s even lower than what I expected.” “See, this is where you got it wrong. After almost a year with you, he really needed a reward.” Theo replied to that and smirked smugly when Gabe glared at him. Liam couldn't help himself but chuckle. It was pleasing to his ego to see Gabe like that. Especially now when Theo pulled Liam closer and put one arm around his shoulder.  “We would like to further enjoy this party, so if you don’t mind.” He dismissed with a sweet smirk but his eyes betrayed him. He kicked Gabe out. Gabe got the hint because he huffed and then turned around to march out of the house, followed by his friends. Liam waved after them and then laughed.
“You just made my night. Thank you.” He told Theo and The chuckled.  Well, you gave me the opportunity to kick Gabe out. I should thank you.”  Liam shrugged. “I really didn’t do anything, so don’t mention it.”  He played it down. Theo smiled and then nodded over to Liam’s drink. “Come one, I’ll get you another one.”
 ****** In the end, Liam was kind of happy Mason dragged him to the party. For once because he got the laugh out of his encounter with Gabe and afterward he and Theo had actually launched a conversation. They found out they liked the same video games and shared the same taste in movies. Liam kind of wondered why they never really talked before aside the occasional “Hey.” and “What’s up?” At the end of the night, he stayed longer than what he promised Mason and he left with a smile on his face.
It didn’t even come to his mind that there could be an aftermath of the party but a few days later Liam found himself lounging on his bed and doing some reading for his classes when the door opened and in stepped Mason, Corey and Nolan, Liam’s roommate. All three stared at Liam who questingly raised an eyebrow. “What’s up?”
“You and Theo, how long is this already going on?” Mason asked, looking kind of betrayed. Liam furrowed his brows. “What?”  “The whole campus is talking about Gabe’s ex being in a relationship with no other than Theo.” Corey explained and Nolan added: “Probably because Gabe is pissed. He’s talking about it almost constantly, claiming you did a downgrade.”
Liam blinked. It took him some time to adjust to this information and then: “WHAT??” “My reaction exactly. I know why I reacted like this but why you?” Mason commented dryly and Liam shook his head.  “We’re not dating!” “Uhm, what?” That was Corey now, looking as confused as Nolan and Mason. “Because I’m pretty sure I heard from several people Theo and you admitted to dating on that party.” “Yeah well...” Liam blushed and rubbed his neck. “Gabe was there and he was being a total dick.” (”As always.” Nolan muttered under his breath). “He riled me up and suddenly Theo was there. You know how those two are, always trying to outdo another and Gabe insulted me which prompted Theo to defend me. Long story short, Theo said he asked me out and you should have seen Gabe’s face. I couldn’t stop myself and jump on that bandwagon.” Liam explained his friends. “So, really, it was meant as a joke to make Gabe leave. It worked.”
“Oh yeah, it worked so perfectly that anybody who witnessed the exchange got the same impression and you know the gossip around campus. So, joke or not, literally everybody is under the impression you and Theo are actually a thing, Liam.” Nolan concluded and Liam paled. Oh fuck, he really had not thought this trough.  “Great and what am I supposed to do now?” He asked his friends and while Mason and Corey shrugged and patted his shoulder, Nolan cleared his throat. “You have two options. Options No 1: Keep the lie and whenever you start another actual relationship declare the relationship between you and Theo over. Things happen, you know? Option No 2: Come clean but that would mean Gabe would win and I don’t think that’s what you want.” He laid out and Liam had to agree with him. Basically, he was stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. “I’m fucked.” He muttered and Mason snorted. “Not really but everybody thinks you are by no other than Theo Raeken.”
******
Liam made his way into the library, trying to ignore some whispers behind his back. His relationship with Theo seemed to be one of the hottest topics right now and Liam couldn’t shake the slight suspicion it was also because Gabe was still spitting mad. Well, sucks, he had broken up with Liam after all.
Making his way over to an empty table Liam was about to put his bag down when he spotted Theo in one of the aisles. Before he could think twice Liam marched over and grabbed the other by his arm to yank him into a corner. “I need to talk to you!”
“Why?” Theo asked and closed the book he had been reading when Liam yanked him away.  “Because the whole campus thinks we’re dating!” Liam hissed and pushed his backpack up his shoulder to prevent it from falling down. Theo looked oddly unimpressed by that and leaned against the shelf. “So?” “Doesn’t that bother you one bit?”
Theo looked at Liam and then chuckled. “Not really, no. Over the years I had so many rumors about me going on, I learned to ignore them. People will always talk, Liam.” He looked at Liam and smirked even more smugly. “Besides, Gabe is literally fuming with anger because of it and that alone is reason enough not to address this issue. Even now he’s not letting us leave his sight, he even got up and walked over to act like he’s shuffling through a shelf. He’s that jealous.” “He...what?” Liam was about to turn around when Theo grabbed his face and made him look at Theo.  “You’re not the most subtle person on this planet, huh?” “Uhm.” Liam made since Theo still squished his cheek together and prevented him from really talking. Theo let go of him but Liam didn’t bother turning around once more.
He didn’t have to because Gabe just stepped up to them. “What are you doing?” He asked.
“Planting trees.” Theo dryly replied. “Why? Want to help? The earth needs every friend it can get. Grab a shovel and dig yourself a hole.”
“I can dig a hole for you if you insist!” Gabe snarked back and Liam stepped between the two frat presidents, one hand pushing against Theo’s chest, the other against Gabe’s. “It’s still a library, so if you two gamecocks could tone it down a notch, yeah? That would be amazing.”
Theo and Gabe continued their stare off until Theo shrugged and put one arm around Liam’s waist, pulling him against his chest. “Anyway, can we actually help you with something? My boyfriend and I would continue our conversation from earlier. Have to make some arrangements for date night, you know. Like which movie to watch, choosing a restaurant to eat and then decide if we go to his dorm or my room to have sex, the usual, you know?” Theo teased and Liam gripped his arm when Gabe’s face turned a very angry shade of red and he stared at Liam.
“Didn’t take you for such a slut, Liam!” He spat out and Liam heard Theo growl behind him. Before the two could really fight, he grabbed Theo by the arm once again and dragged him out of the library. Outside he took a deep breath and let go of Theo’s arm immediately. He may had broken up with Gabe but getting insulted still hurt and he had to walk that off for a second. Theo followed him.
“The hell was that?” He inquired and Liam sighed. “You said we would have sex.” He explained and Theo made a sound close to duh. “Well, Gabe reacted like that because...I never slept with him.”
Theo stopped walking and held Liam by his arm. “Hold on.” He started. “Just to get this right: You and Gabe were in a relationship for almost a year and you never had sex?” Liam nodded unwillingly. “Yep.” He then said and shooed Theo’s hands away. “It was never the right moment.” “Are you a virgin?” “What? No, I’m not and Gabe isn’t one either.” “Then how come you didn’t had sex?” “Not every relationship is about sex, Theo!” “I know that but almost a year? When the two of you had sex before with different partners? That’s kind of surprising.” “Well, maybe I didn’t want to sleep with a person I didn’t love.” Liam muttered under his breath but Theo had heard him nonetheless. And he frowned. “Why were you in a relationship with a man you didn’t love for almost a full year? That doesn’t follow at all.” Liam sighed deeply. “Because it was convenient. Being in a relationship took all the stress away with who was my date for an event or my company for Friday night. Before I started the relationship with Gabe I was kind of the third wheel with Corey and Mason and suddenly we could do double dates and such. It was nice.” “Nice.” Theo parroted. “I mean, yeah, who doesn’t want a nice relationship? That’s what is important. Screw love or trust and loyalty. Nice, that’s the important thing.” “You are an idiot!”
“And you didn’t have sex for over a year. Which is a shame.” Theo told him, eyes raking over Liam’s whole body before he started walking again. And Liam may be oblivious most times but such a direct flirt? Even he got that! Now he hurried to keep up with Theo. “Now, what? Keep the dating lie up to annoy Gabe?” Now that he said it, it actually sounded fun.  Theo shot him a grin. “Why not? If I’m informed correctly, he kind of treated you like shit, right?” Liam bit his lower lip but nodded. He had no idea where Theo got this from but the guy seemed to have good resources. “Yeah.” He confirmed. “So it serves him right to get a bit jealous. Besides, and that is a fact you can’t deny, I’m more attractive than him. You made an upgrade, Liam.” Theo told him with a smirk and Liam had to laugh.
****** “Okay, I made up some rules for fake-dating me.” Theo chuckled and looked at Liam from where he sat on his bed. “Does your real boyfriend follow rules too?” He inquired and Liam glared at him, making Theo only smirk more. “Okay, share your rules with me, baby.” “No pet names! I’m not in the pet name type of guy. Aside from that, no kissing. If someone asks we say we’re both not big fans of PDA.” “That’s a lie and I’m sure everybody around here knows that.” Liam ignored Theo and continued. “If one of us ever meets someone he would like to start a real relationship with, this thing is off. In case somebody asks, we just say we broke up. No further explanation.” “Is there somebody you’re interested in already?” “I hate you.” “Speaking of: I love you? Yes or no?” Liam let his notepad sink where he had scribbled down his rules. He had not thought about this until now. Those three words were important to him, he could not start to toss them around like that. “No. No I love you.” “Aww, baby.” “No pet names!” “Sorry, honey.” “You’re doing this to annoy me, right?” “Me? Never, hun bun.” Liam rolled his eyes. “Why did I agree to this? Remind me again?” He muttered. “Because you like to piss Gabe off, angel face.”
****** “You are completely insane!” Mason scolded and Liam shrugged. “Maybe.” He checked his reflection in the mirror before grabbing a leather jacket and slipping it on.  “Just to get back at Gabe you’re ready to live a lie?” “It’s not really a lie. Everybody thinks we’re dating and all we do now is spending time together, going to see movies, go for coffee and generally just hang out.” He told his friend, trying to dissolve Mason’s worries. Mason still looked like he had lost his mind.  “I still don’t think it’s a good idea, L.” “Too bad, we already started, I can’t let Gabe win this!” “Liam, dating and love is not a war! I know he hurt you but playing this game with Theo is literally playing with fire. I don’t want you to get burned.” Liam paused getting ready and turned to face Mason. “You think I will fall in love with Theo and get myself hurt.” It wasn’t a question, Liam was stating it. Mason sighed. “You have the tendency to fall in love very easily.” “I certainly do not.” “Brett. Hayden. Gabe.” “Not Gabe!”
Mason groaned. “Okay, fine, not Gabe. The others? Yes, they were relationships but still. You are a good person with a very good heart which has lots of love to give. You fall easily and Theo is charming. You’re posing as a couple, so forgive me for being worried about my best friend. Your last breakup wasn’t that long ago.”
“I can take care of myself! I don’t fall in love easily! I’m not dumb, Mason.” He was angry. “And now excuse me, I have a date to attend.” He grabbed his keys and wallet and then slammed the door to his dorm room shut.
Fights with Mason always got to him and deep inside Liam knew Mason just wanted to protect him. But Liam was too stubborn to admit that his best friend maybe was right. In the past, he had proofed how easily he fell for his past partners and I love you always came easy. But this time it was different. They weren’t in a relationship, they were just pretending.
“You okay?” Theo asked. Liam had barely said anything the whole evening, despite them being in a really nice restaurant not far from the campus. Instead, he played with his napkin and his food. Now he looked up, startled by Theo seemingly seeing through him and noticing something was off.  Gabe never did that, Liam’s brain helpfully offered and he mentally cursed Mason. This was his fault and Liam didn’t want those thoughts.
“Had a fight with Mason before I came here. Sorry.” He apologized and Theo smiled softly. “Want to talk about it?” He asked but Liam shook his head, smiling weakly. “It’s okay. Thanks.”
“Uh, then smile and act like you are okay because Gabe just entered the restaurant and he’s accompanied by a redhead. They’re coming this way.” Theo told him and Liam sighed but then braced himself for the moment the couple would walk past them. When they did, Gabe gave him one dirty look then he followed the waiter to their table. Right in the side of Liam and Theo.
“Typical.” Liam muttered and looked down at his food.  “Want to leave?” Theo asked. Liam thought about accepting but then shook his head. “It’s okay. Just..tell me something. Anything to get my mind off.” “Banging your head against a wall burns 150 calories an hour.” Liam blinked. “What?” “If you lift a kangaroo’s tail off the ground, it can’t hop.” “Theo...” “Gorillas burp when they are happy.”  Liam had to laugh at that. “You’re weird.” “But it made you laugh. That’s what I wanted to.” “Now you’re getting sappy.” Liam laughed again and was quite satisfied when Gabe stared at him. Liam ignored his ex and focused on Theo again.
****** Over time they settled in this rhythm and hung out quite a lot. Either around campus or on Theo’s or Liam’s room. Theo as the president had a big room for himself at the Iota house but Nolan was having a job at the campus café so Liam was almost alone every time when Theo came over. Today Liam was on his bed, balancing his laptop on his knees and video chatting with his parents at home. Dr. Geyer just filled his stepson in on some things that needed to get repaired around the house when it knocked at Liam’s dorm room. Getting up from his bed he walked over to the door and opened it.
“Mom, Dad, that’s Theo by the way.” He introduced his parents to his visitor and Theo looked surprised for a moment then he smiled the most charming smile Liam had ever seen and waved at the camera.
“Hello, Mrs. Geyer and Dr. Geyer, nice to meet you.” He greeted politely and Liam heard his mother let out a happy gasp. “Liam, do you have a new boyfriend?” Of course, she would think that!
“Uhm, mom, no! Theo’s just a....
“Theo, darling, so nice to finally meet you. I knew there was somebody there who made Liam happy. A mother knows those things. So, tell me about you. What is your major? Where do you come from? How did you two meet?”
“Mom....” Liam tried again at the same time Theo started talking. “I’m from around Beacon Hills and I’m a business major. I lead one of the fraternities on the campus and that’s how Liam and I met. Corey, Mason’s boyfriend, is also part of our frat and with Mason came Liam. I noticed him right away. He just had this sparkle in his eyes and from the first moment I knew he was a very interesting person. He’s a very true and real character but I’m sure you know that. You raised him after all.” He chuckled and Liam swore he could hear his mother swoon. He was swooning himself because the way Theo talked about him made his heart jump slightly. Until the party he had been under the strong impression Theo never really noticed him, that he was just a face to him. Damn, Theo was good at this whole fake thing.
“Such a nice guy. Liam, why didn’t you introduce us sooner?”
“That was my fault. I wanted to make a perfect impression and got a bit self-conscious. You only have one chance to get to introduce yourself to the parents of your boyfriend, right?” Theo went for a joke and Liam stared at him, blinking owlishly. What the hell? He was stunned and so he barely said anything and let Theo and his parents talk for almost an hour. He learned about Theo wanting to have his own business one day, hence his major, that he liked to visit museums and would like to go to New York one day. His favorite color was dark blue and his favorite breakfast were blueberry pancakes. Things he never bothered to ask when they were hanging out. He witnessed Theo joking around with Dr. Geyer and asking questions about the work at the hospital. So when the call ended, he was kind of speechless.
“Dude, my parents already love you!” Theo shrugged with a soft smile. “They are nice.” “No, you don’t understand. They love you.” “You already said that. I was just nice to them. That’s how it goes, right?” “No.” Liam shook his head and Theo looked confused “No?” “They hated Gabe.” “I like your parents even more now.” “No, seriously, they didn’t get along with him and he didn’t like them either. To see you talking to them like that was wow.” And it made his heart flutter. Something Liam had not expected to happen but now he couldn’s stop his little heart from doing so. And while he still had in mind what Mason told him (even though his best friend had later apologized for being too harsh and they had made up) he realized that this time it felt totally different than ever before.
A beeping sound shook him from his thoughts and he almost jumped off the bed. Theo looked at his watch and cursed. “Fuck, my shift starts in ten minutes. Gotta go!”
“Oh. Sorry for making you sit through the call in your free time.”
“Nah, stop it, your parents are cool. It wasn’t a waste of time.” He smiled at Liam and grabbed his bag. “See you later.” He muttered, leaned in to press a quick kiss to Liam’s cheek and then leave the room. Liam stayed behind, stunned by the sudden kiss and the way his heart bet even faster now.
******
Liam shuffled up the stairs and down the hallway. Knocking at Theo’s door, he didn’t even bother to wait for an answer and just opened the door to shuffle inside the room and kick the door shut. Dropping his bag unceremoniously on the floor, Liam head first fell down on the bed and groaned. Lacrosse practice had been a bitch today and he was sore all over.
“Your bed’s comfy, can I stay here forever?” He muttered and snuggled further into the comfy mattress. Hearing a chuckle from the adjoining bathroom made him smile sleepily too.
“Hard training?”
"Hm.” Liam made a sound and then raised his head to actually look for Theo. The Iota president had a big room and his own bathroom which door was currently open and he was inspecting himself in the mirror. Liam swallowed because all Theo was wearing were black sweatpants. The light in the bathroom cast a soft glow on his naked torso and tired or not but Liam appreciated a nice view and that view was spectacular.
Now Theo walked out of the room and leaned against the door frame, giving Liam a nice long glance on his toned upper body. Liam swallowed dryly. “Did I interrupt anything? I didn’t mean to. Your room was just closer than my dorm building.”
“You didn’t. Just had taken a shower and got dressed.”
“Halfway dressed.” Liam corrected automatically and his eyes still lingered on the other’s abs and well-defined chest. Theo was attractive, no doubt, even more attractive than Gabe ever had been. Liam could see this too, he had eyes, okay? And they were working. He knew his friend was actually hot like burning and many people on the campus wanted to climb him like a tree. Nothing new here. New was the realization that Liam belonged to those people.
Since the video call from his parents, he tried to ignore the beating of his heart every time Theo was around. The way he smiled, his scent, being close to him, it all made his heart almost jump out of his chest, and after a while, Liam had not been able to ignore it any longer, at least not in front of himself. He was about to fall head over heels for the older but since he knew Theo only saw this as a joke, Liam had made a decision. It would hurt but in the end, he had to protect his heart.
If Theo weren’t only making this harder, looking so incredibly good right now. But Liam sat up and cleared his throat. if he didn’t do it now, he wouldn’t do it anytime soon and that was problematic.
“I also came here to talk.” “About what?” Theo asked, putting his hands in the pockets of his sweatpants and pulling them slightly down in the progress, exposing the V of his hip bones. Focus, Liam! “I thought about it and I think...we should end this fake relationship. We can say you broke up with me, that would be totally okay.”  He had expected a joke or agreement, but Liam wasn’t prepared for the way Theo’s face fell. He looked taken aback and then he just looked sad. “May I asked why? Did you fall in love with somebody?”  “No...yes...in some ways yeah.” Had he thought Theo looked sad before, he now looked devastated. But he nodded. “Okay. If that’s what you want....”
Something was wrong. Liam could feel it. He had played this in his mind over and over again and Theo never reacted how he reacted now. Liam prided himself on knowing the other by now, he couldn’t be so off with his expectations, right? So what was off? “Theo?” He asked softly and got up from the bed to step closer to his friend. “What’s wrong? Look, I know it may sound a bit ungrateful but I appreciate what you did for me. We are still friends, yeah?” Theo gave him a look. “Really? You’re giving me the ‘we’re still friends line’? Come on, Liam, I know you can do better than that.” “I’m not giving you any line. We are friends, always have been. Over the last couple of weeks....” “Months.” Theo cut in. “It’s been months. Three months to be exact. I like to keep tabs on my fake relationships, you know?”  “Okay, fine, over the last couple of months we’ve grown so close and....”
“So close that you couldn’t even tell me you fell in love with someone?” Theo’s voice sounded cold and Liam frowned.  “It’s not that easy.” “Then make it easy. Give me a name. Where did you meet them? Tell me you are not dumb enough to go back to Gabe. Tell me everything you would tell your friend. Mason knows, right? I thought we were friends too and yet I had no idea. Wanted to spare my feelings? Cute but I don’t need you for that. Got that covered!” Theo sounded colder with every word and his face was as solid mask of blankness, “Don’t be an ass!” Liam growled.  “Oh, I’m the ass? Good to know.” Theo pointed at the door. “Know what? Just leave. You did what you came here for, so no need to complicate this even more. You obviously don’t want to tell me, it’s fine. We will all live, no hard feelings.”
“You’re the one making this hard! I just came here to call the fake relationship off and because I wanted to spend time with you.” “Why?”  Liam boggled at that question and his frown deepened. “What do you mean?” “Why do you want to spend time with me? Thought we broke up?” It was meant to sound sarcastically but it cut deeper than Liam thought it was possible. He bit his lip and stared at Theo. That was what Mason had warned him about. He should have listened to his friend.
“You want a name and then what? Go to the person and be an ass there?” Liam snarled. “Nah, I planned on giving them the talk to treat you right because you fucking deserve it, you precious angel.” Theo snapped back. Liam glared at him, hands slowly balling into fists. Why did every man he liked end up being an asshole these days? “Then go on and have fun, mirror’s over there. While you’re at it, might as well tell yourself to stop being such a freaking asshole. It’s not like I could walk up to you and say ‘Hey, by the way, this whole fake relationship is nice but what about an actual date?’, right? I know you see all this as some prank on Gabe! No need to make this even more painful than it already is for me!” Liam yelled at Theo and the older actually shied back as if he had been hit.
He stared at Liam, completely stunned by the outburst, then he rolled his eyes. “You can’t be that oblivious, can you? Remember what I told your parents? About me noticing you from the start? That wasn’t a lie! I did it the first time you came over with Mason. You were by far the most attractive one here and you seemed like a cool guy. Really think I would invest that much time in a prank on Gabe? If it weren’t for you? Don’t you dare to tell me it was painful for you when I have been crushing on you since basically day one!” Theo yelled back and then grabbed Liam’s face to pull him into a rough kiss. Liam wrapped his arms around Theo’s neck in an instant and returned the kiss. He moaned when Theo bit down on his lower lip, rough enough to draw blood, and licked it away. Now Liam deepened the kiss, fingers running through Theo’s hair and rumpling it. He faintly noticed Theo pushing him back to the bed and him holding on when they both fell on the mattress. After that, it was just all a blur of passion and lust.
****** “Do I want to know why you look so smugly?” Liam asked. He had his chin on Theo’s naked chest and watched the other staring at the ceiling. Now Theo turned to face him, still smirking.
“Simple.” He began. “I had to think about you telling me you never slept with Gabe. I’d say I won.”
Liam rolled his eyes but he had to smile. “I never slept with him because I didn’t love him. You won in that regard too.” He muttered and leaned in to kiss Theo’s.
“Damn right I did.” Theo muttered against his lips and ran a hand through Liam’s tousled hair.

THIAM DAY 2
This was a mistake, a huge mistake, what if he called it off? This was a stupid idea he should just call Theo and cancel, “stupid!” he muttered attempting to tie his tie with shaky hands.
The plan was simple they both go in, Liam introduces Theo to them all they stay for like an hour or do then leave, then they can go their separate ways… More or less.
He honestly was shocked when Theo agreed, he didnt think he would say yes.
-liam couldn’t sit down, he was pacing in the locker room waiting for Theo to come, “what’s taking so long” he grumbles fidgeting with his fingers. He jumped at the sound of a locker slamming shut, Theo appearing next to him. “you called little wolf?” he said leaning against the lockers.
Liam nodded trying to figure what to say, how to say it. “okay, this might sound a bit weird but I need you to hear me out” he stated, nervously scratching at his skin. “what is it?” Theo asked reaching out to stop Liam from scratching himself.
“I need you too… Pretend to be my boyfriend” he whispered hoping Theo didn’t hear him properly, “you… What?” Theo asked dumbfounded.
“look my family have this big dinner thing on and my parents kept asking if I was going to bring Hayden, they wouldn’t take no for an answer so… I snapped and told them I seeing someone else…” Liam looked down ashamed.
Theo was stunned silent, why would Liam be asking him? Out of all the people, he’s asking Theo to fake date him? It doesn’t make any sense. He shouldn’t, this will not help with keeping his feelings hidden, locked away. But seeing how nervous Liam was to ask him, he couldn’t say no.
“it’s only for tonight, plea-” he started getting cut off by Theo “okay” liam looked back up at Theo shocked. “what?” Theo rolled his eyes “I said okay, are you deaf?” he smirked.
Liam let out a small chuckle, smile spreading across his face “thank you, thank you to much, it starts at 8, we can just go there act like we’re dating for like an hour or so then we can leave, I swear” he looked up hearing the bell ring indicating next classes were to start. They both smiled at each other walking out of the locker room
“so I’ll pick you up at 7:30? What should I wear?” Theo asked while walking Liam to his class, “yeah sounds great, oh it’s a uh suit and tie kinda thing” Theo rolled his eyes “where the hell am I going to find a suit with such short notice?” he says dramatically earning a chuckle and light blush from Liam. “yeah sorry about that” Liam stops infront of his class door “the things I do for you dunbar” he says ruffling Liam’s hair before leaving for his own class-
“need a hand?” he heard Theo say from the door way, Liam turned to face him freezing in his spot. Theo looked… Amazing, he looked absolutely breath-taking in his suit, no tie but he still looked stunning.
Theo let out an awkward chuckle “do I Uh look okay?” he asked looking down at himself, Liam shook his head breaking out of his daze “yeah, no you look… Amazing, I Uh I can’t get this damn Tie” he pouted at Theo.
Flashing a small smile Theo walked over taking the tie from Liam’s hands “here” he whispered as he started to tie it around Liam’s neck, the younger of the Two staring up at him the whole time, mesmerised by how close they were.
“see” Theo whispers “easy as pie” his eyes flicking down to Liam’s lips, feeling himself lean in closer, the boys broke apart hearing the sound of Liam’s phone ringing.
Liam sighed picking it up and answering “hey mum, yeah? Sorry we’re leaving now. Love you too. Bye” Liam turned back to the awkward smile on his lips, “mum says we should leave nearly everyone us there but us”
Theo grins acting like the past couple of minutes never happened, he lifted his arm up motioning towards the door, “after you”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Liam was nervous the whole drive there, Theo could feel it, he could hear his heartbeat, when he pulled up at the place he turned off the car and turned to liam “hey” he said trying to get Liam to look at him “no need to be nervous little wolf, I promise I’ll be on my best behaviour” he grinned earning a small chuckle from Liam.
Both boys exited the car and walked up to the dinner “so, whats the big dinner for?” Theo asked trying to keep Liam’s mind off of whatever was making him nervous “anything special?”
“it’s just like this annual gathering my family does, nothing special really” Liam answered eyes scanning the room for his family “there” he says pointing towards them, smiling at the sight of Liam’s family, sitting together, laughing, enjoying each other company. Theo never had any of this no big family gatherings nothing, this felt… New, exciting and he loved it.
“come on then” Theo said grabbing Liam’s hand interlocking their fingers and walking over to the last two empty seats at the table. “oh Liam you’re here finally sit hun why don’t you introduce thus handsome young man you have brought along with you” Liams mother said, bringing everyone’s attention to the Two still standing boys.
Liam’s cheeks were on fire as he stuttered trying to get out a sentence at least, thankfully Theo was there to save the moment “hello my names Theo it is lovely to meet you mrs geyer, and your wonderful family as well” Theo said giving his best smile and sitting down with Liam, hands still interlocked between them.
“oh he is quite the charmer, I can see why you like him” she said smiling at Liam, who smiled back unable to form words, which lucky for him he didn’t need to Theo answering all the questions and chatting with his family during the meal.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“so theo” Mr geyer started as he placed his desert spoon down crossing his arms “how long have you two been together?” Liam’s eyes widened slightly, they haven’t come up with a story, their lie to tell his family, Shit how could Liam forget he was too busy worrying about his own feelings, he completely forgot. They hadn’t asked these questions yet, he was hopping the would skip them but as per usual nothing goes the way he hopes.
“how long? Well let’s see it’ll be a month next sunday” Theo answered easily, leaning his arm behind Liam fingers playing with the hairs on the back of his head. “how did you guys meet?” one of Liam’s aunts asked from across the table, Liam look at Theo waiting to hear his answer he should probably be helping him answer but was to shocked to.
“it was raining, it was at night, I remember seeing him with his small group of friends, two of them I use to go to school with years ago.”
“do you love him?” Liam choked on his drink when his mum said that “mum!” he coughed out. He felt Theos hand freeze on the back of his head slowly sliding down to his neck. This is it, how could Theo bullshit his way through this one he should just end this, spill the beans it’s over. But before he could, Theo answered.
“yes” he smiled “when we first met we didn’t really talk much, until I… I Was going through some things, I.. Did some bad things. I was at a really low point in my life and.. Well Liam saved me he helped me get through it and better myself as a person and that night my whole life changed” Theo paused for a second looking down at his empty plate “I was so awestruck at how loving and caring one boy could be” Theo looked back up smiling “that’s when I realised, I loved him”
Liam was staring at Theo completely shocked, was this real? Or was he just making it up? Just another lie in this fake relationship plan, god please let it be real.
“Liam?” he heard Theos concerned voice next to him “are you okay?” he asked facing his whole body towards him, no he was not okay, at all, if this was just one big lie, Liam doesn’t know how he can take it. He can’t breath “i-i just” he gasped out “I need” air he needs some fresh air “I gotta go” he said abruptly standing up walking out of the restaurant ignoring the calls of his name from behind him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Liam!” he heard Theo call out to him, he leant against the wall not saying a word. “Liam, Im sorry if I went to far, once I started talking i couldn’t stop myself” he called out “look, if you don’t want to talk to me ever again… I understand.” Theo sighed rubbing his face, he messed up, big time he let his feelings get in the way and now he’s scared off the only friend he actually had.
“did you mean it?” Liam said, knowing that Theo can hear him with his chimera hearing, “yes, yes I meant every word” theo said glowing eyes stopping on the dark form of the young wolf. He slowly walked towards Liam, “look I know this was meant to be a one time thing but, Im sorry I couldn’t control myself, I let my feelings get in the way and i-mphh” he was cut off by the younger wolf pulling him in for a hard, passionate kiss.
Theos hands gently slid down Liam’s sides, resting on his waist pulling him closer, both boys needed this after months of pushing back their feelings for one another, tonight was the perfect night to act on those feelings. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thiam Fake Relationship Headcanons
Fake Relationship is already one of my favorite tropes ever and because I’m trash I also added a little bit of a Roommates!AU, hope everyone enjoys! @derekczyslaw don’t know if you wanna read this one too but if you do, here it is!
when theo moved in with liam, he had no idea what to expect. from their interview theo could tell liam wasn’t some axe wielding maniac that would kill him in his sleep so that was a positive. but other than that and the fact that he had a pretty nice apartment near campus, theo didn’t really much about him. would they get along? would they constantly be at each other’s throats? would they just share a bathroom and nothing more? theo had no clue.
after living with liam for a while, theo quickly figured out that they were friends for sure. friends that spent most of the time bickering about stupid shit, but friends nonetheless. theo and liam basically never agreed on anything-from takeout options, to which movie they should watch that night, to whose turn it was to take out the trash. but their fights were always fun, and even if they were just sitting in complete silence on opposite sides of a room theo always felt a little more happy whenever he and liam were together (not that he’d ever tell liam because that’d just his head even bigger than usual).
one day theo went back to the apartment after his classes were over, expecting to find liam curled up on the couch with his nose in one of his history books. so when he opened the door and found a middle aged man and woman standing in the middle of his living room theo’s obviously surprised. before he even had the chance to ask who the hell they were liam came running out of his room and wrapped his arms around him.
“hey babe! i didn’t know you were home.” liam said lovingly before kissing theo on the cheek. “shut up and play along for a minute.” he whispered in his ear. theo gulped, his spine tingling thanks to liam’s low gravelly voice, and simply nodded. that was when he was introduced to dr. and mrs. geyer-liam’s mom and stepdad-who had come to town to visit their son. “and this is my boyfriend, theo raeken.” liam announced and theo tensed up. boyfriend? yeah right. that’d be about as likely as seeing pigs fly. theo turned to look at liam and shot him a tight smile.
“honey, can we talk in my room? now.” theo asked through gritted teeth. when they were finally alone theo punched liam in the shoulder. “what the hell just happened out there?!” theo whisper yelled in case his parents could hear.
“sorry!” liam replied. “i didn’t know they were coming today and i didn’t have time to fill you in on the story.”
theo narrowed his eyes. “what story?”
that was when liam fessed up and told the truth. apparently, dr. and mrs. geyer weren’t big fans of liam’s decision to go out of state for college because they didn’t want him to be on his own. so liam told them that he wasn’t on his own-that he had a boyfriend looking out for him. and who was that boyfriend? well according to liam, it was theo.
“i can’t believe you dragged me into your pathetic lie.” theo said and liam rolled his eyes.
“well believe it because you’re going to dinner with us as my date.” liam responded.
theo shook his head. “nope. no way. i’m not getting in the middle of this. you started this mess so you fix it.”
“c’mon, just do me this one favor.” liam begged. “i’ll owe you one.”
theo scoffed. “If i do this you’ll owe me way more than just one.”
“it’s just for tonight, i promise.” liam pleaded, his eyes widening and his bottom lip trembling. oh no, not the sad puppy dog face. anything but the sad puppy dog face. that was the one look that theo couldn’t resist and liam knew that. damn him.
theo groaned. “fine i’ll do it.” he agreed despite his better judgement. “but after this i’m never doing you any favors for the rest of my life.”
“we both know that’s not true. but thanks.” liam smiled a wide smile and theo knew that he was in for a weird night.
dr. and mrs. geyer take the young ‘couple’ out to a nice restaurant and as they’re sitting around the table, theo slowly realized the night wasn’t as agonizing as he thought it would be. theo liked hearing stories of dumb stuff liam did as a kid (he was going to bring up “i fell in a hole” every single day). but the thing that theo liked even more was seeing how close liam was with his parents. he actually found it cute…in a completely platonic way (right?).
even though theo was enjoying getting to know his fake future in laws, he couldn’t help but notice how close he and liam were. yeah, they needed to sell the whole loving couple thing, but did that mean having to hold hands throughout dinner and practically sit on each other’s lap? it’s not that theo didn’t like it, it’s that it felt oddly…normal.
a couple hours into the night liam got up from the table to go to the bathroom, leaving theo alone with his parents. they exchanged a knowing look before staring at theo with a glint in their eyes. mrs. geyer was the one who broke the silence. “you two really seem happy together.”
theo stifled a laugh. either he and liam were oscar worthy actors or she was joking. “i don’t know about that.”
dr. geyer cracked a smile. “oh please. the way you two look at each other? it’s obvious.”
theo wanted to argue-to say that they were friends and nothing more-but he couldn’t. partly because that’d break liam’s cover, but mostly because he was starting to think maybe they had point. maybe there was something more between theo and liam. did he even want that? did liam? before that night theo ever even thought that was a possibility. but now? now it was all he could think of.
“uh, can you excuse me for a second? i have to go to the bathroom.” theo stood up from the table. he headed straight for the restroom, not even really sure what he was going to do. all theo knew was that he had to see liam and make sense of what was going through his mind.
theo walked into the bathroom and the first thing he saw was liam washing his hands.
“hey, things are going great out there, right?” liam beamed. “i think they’re really buying that we’re dating.”
“yeah, they are.” theo said, suddenly feeling very self conscious and awkward. “doesn’t it weird you out though? acting like we’re, you know, a couple?”
liam cocked his head to the side in confusion. “no, why? is it weird for you?”
theo sighed, not knowing what to say next.
“hello, earth to theo.” liam said gently, reaching out to hold theo’s hand. “what’s wrong? if it’s about us pretending to be together, you don’t have to do it after tonight. i swear.”
theo let out a dry laugh. “actually, tonight’s been fun. lot’s of fun.” he paused briefly, staring into liam’s deep blue eyes before lowering his head. “i was hoping may we could do it again sometime.”
liam smirked. “you wanna have dinner with my parents again?” he asked sarcastically.
theo rolled his eyes. “don’t be a dick when i’m trying to ask you out.”
liam chuckled softly. “fine. but you seriously want to go on a date together?”
“well, yeah.” theo shrugged. “we’re basically boyfriends already and i like being with you. so…what do you say?”
liam grabbed the collar of theo’s shirt and pulled him into a long, passionate kiss. when they separated theo glanced down at liam’s lips and saw the cocky grin he was wearing. “does that answer your question?”
after that night, they get together and nothing really changes between them. they were still the same old theo and liam-teasing each other at any chance they got. but they’re good together. happy, because they have each other.
Fake Mates & Running (Theo/Liam)
Since I’m not sure if I’m going to have time to actually write this out, I decided to do a not-fic:
Alternate universe-—werewolves are known, mating rituals, alive Hale family, fake/pretend relationship, possessive behavior, accidental bonding, semi-public sex, scent marking, sharing a bed.
Every year, the Hale pack hosts a tri-county Werewolf Mating Run (WMR). It’s compulsory for werewolves, and they have to be eighteen or older to Run.
It’s Liam’s first Run, and he is not into the idea at all. He thinks it’s a dumb tradition, and not romantic in the least. Participation is mandatory for every unbonded werewolf aged 18-35. Wolves in committed, unbonded relationships have to Run, but it is considered more of a ceremony and much less pressure is put on these werewolves. That’s where Liam finds his loophole.
All he needs is a fake mate.
He would rather it be Mason, but his best friend is already in a known long-term relationship, so he’s out of the question.
Theo is the last ditch resort, because Liam thinks no way is he agreeing. Except he does, at a price. $100 and Theo will pretend to be Liam’s unbonded mate and participate in the Run.
In order to make it look like their relationship is legit, Theo and Liam go on a few “dates,” and make several social media posts about it, take pictures as they cuddle on the couch or on top of a mountain they hike. They leave a virtual trail that the WMR committee can look up and verify. The night before the Run, Theo stays the night and they sleep in the same bed.
Waking up the morning of the Run is awkward for Liam because he realizes today is the last day that he’s going to have Theo this close. He’s been pushing down his developing feelings over the past few weeks, but they’re coming to a head now. Theo looks all soft and rumpled in his bed, and when Liam cards his fingers through Theo’s hair, Theo leans into it easily out of habit.
They’re in this too deep.
The Running course is large, taking up almost the entirety of the preserve. There are hundreds of werewolves at the entrance, and hundreds of werewolves, humans, and other supernatural entities waiting inside. Liam doesn’t know how he’s going to find Theo in all of that. The thought of someone else going after Theo makes anger well up in him. It’s a somewhat moot worry considering all the scent-marking they did to help deter that kind of thing, but feelings are feelings, and Liam has some trouble pushing down his instincts when he’s surrounded by so many other wolves. There’s a big long speech from the Hale Alpha about tradition and rites of passage, whatever. Liam doesn’t pay much attention to it, sidling forward in the press of bodies. He’s anxious to get to Theo so they can get out of here without incident.
Lot’s of actual running, growling, and tripping over roots once the Run begins. Liam realizes this is harder than he thought it would be. The potential mates and significant others were spaced out pretty evenly except once the wolves start Running, everyone else starts running too. It’s chaos. Finally, he catches the merged scent of Liam&Theo, and he’s able to follow it.
Theo is in a scuffle with a female werewolf, and he ends up punching her when she tries to pin him to the ground. Liam growls deep, loud, and the woman seems to come to her senses—putting two and two together—and she takes off.
Theo is bleeding from a scrape on the cheek that is beginning to heal over, and he’s flushed from the confrontation. He’s beautiful. They look at each other and suddenly barely two inches of space separate them. Theo is the one to bridge the gap, tugging Liam in by back of his neck and pressing their lips together in a hot, desperate kiss.
“For appearances, right?” He asks against Liam’s mouth after a long moment. He smells like fear and hope and want.
Liam shakes his head, clutching Theo by the waist tightly. “No. More than that.”
They kiss again and things get steamy. Liam ends up biting Theo out of instinct more than decision, and the bite cements the bond that had been forming between them.
That’s how fake mates Liam and Theo turn into real mates. Or something like that.
Thiam Week Day 2: Fake Relationship
“Shit.”
Theo looked up from the cereal he was looking at to see Liam staring down the aisle, eyes wide and fists clenched. He followed Liam’s line of sight to see a guy about his age having an argument with a pretty girl. “Something wrong?” he asked, prepared to step in if Liam said.
Liam shook his head. “N-no, I just... Oh, god, please just play along.”
Theo opened his mouth to ask what he meant when the guy looked up and saw them. Just from appearance Theo could tell he didn’t like him. He had gelled up blonde hair that screamed “douchebag”, and he was wearing ripped jeans and a leather jacket. He was the perfect stereotype and Theo already hated him. “Liam?” he called out, and Liam winced. “Liam Dunbar, is that you?”
“Hey, Jeff,” Liam said with a nervous chuckle as the douchebag - Jeff, apparently - came closer. “It’s been a while.”
“No kidding, I haven’t seen you since eighth grade.” Jeff smiled and pulled Liam into a hug, apparently not noticing how Liam tensed even more. “How have you been?”
“Good, actually,” Liam said, squirming out of Jeff’s hold. “I’m graduating in a couple weeks.”
“Really?” Jeff asked. “Never would’ve guessed.” He looked at Theo, who was trying not to crush the cereal box in his hands. “You wouldn’t believe how many fights he got in while we were together.”
And there it was.
Theo’s lips twisted into a vicious smirk. “Actually, I believe it. You should see how jealous he gets when someone flirts with me. Isn’t that right, darling?”
Liam was staring at him with wide eyes, but quickly snapped out of it when Jeff turned to him. “Shut up,” he said, blushing.
Jeff whistled lowly. “Better rein that one in, buddy. You’ll lose control if you’re not careful.”
“Who said I wanted control?” Theo asked, raising himself to his full height and baring his teeth.
Jeff raised his hands. “Whatever, man, I’m just saying. Gotta keep em in line, know what I mean?”
“No, I don’t, and I think it’s time for us to go,” Theo growled. “Liam?”
“Yes, absolutely.” Liam grabbed Theo’s hand and the two started walking away. At the last second, though, Theo turned around.
“Also,” he said with a grin. “If I ever hear that you treated Liam as anything less than the royalty that he is, I will hunt you down and rip your throat out. Bye!”
“Oh my god,” Liam said once they were out the store. “You did not just do that.”
Theo shrugged. “You were upset. I don’t like seeing you upset.”
Liam eyed him critically. “What are you saying?”
“I’m saying I can treat you a million times better than he ever did,” Theo stated, not one to beat around the bush. “If you’ll give me a chance.”
Liam smiled and took Theo’s hand. “I’d like that.”
A/N: Jeff Davis did my boys dirty so I used his name for the unsavory ex. Can you tell I’m still salty? Anyway, the whole fake relationship thing was kinda subtle, but it was there I promise. I hope you enjoyed! Thanks so much for reading and as always, feel free to let me know what you think!
Thiam Week Day 2: Fake Relationship
“I should have never come to this club with Mason and Corey” he thought as the guy across bar winked at him again.
Where in the hell did they sneak off to anyway? Liam glanced around trying to locate his friends and when that didn’t work he honed in on his other senses and followed their scent finding them on dance floor. Trying to catch Mason’s attention proved to be impossible as he watched them start to make out. Turning around to head back to the bar he felt someone grab his arm, pull him into their body, and tried to start dancing with him.
Liam shoved the person back easily enough but was now closer to the center of the dance floor than he wanted to be. Bodies were pushing up against him and scents of alcohol and sex were enough to make his already thin control slip.
He growled under his breath when he was grabbed again and turned around to find two glowing red eyes staring back at him. “It’s been awhile since any other wolves have been here” the other guy purred. He tried to pull away but the guy tightened his grip and started to run a single claw down his wrist. Liam gave his arm a hard tug which made the alpha’s claws dig into his skin causing it to tear.
The scent of blood hit the air and that mixed with the pain, his last shred of control snapped. His claws popped out, teeth elongated, and eyes burst to a bright yellow glow. He growled again, made a grab for the stronger wolf’s other hand, and dug his claws in. Everyone around them was too lost in the music to notice that danger was happening around them.
“I’ve always loved a beta with a little fight in him,” the alpha sneered “you’re going to be fun tonight.”
Liam opened his mouth to give one last warning growl when an arm wrapped around his shoulders and a body plastered itself to his back. The alpha let off a little growl of his own trying to claim Liam as his.
“There you are!” The person that was wrapped around him said just as their scent hit Liam’s nose. He relaxed slightly into the body but didn’t change back.
“Thanks for keeping him company, you just never know when you’re going to have to kill a hunter.” Theo said cheerfully. Liam could feel him walk to his side but was still too angry, too wolf, to acknowledge him. He watched as Theo grabbed his hand and tried to pull his claws out of the alpha’s arm giving it hard squeeze. When he didn’t budge Theo sighed and looked to the alpha.
“Would you mind letting go of my boyfriend’s wrist?” Liam jerked his head to look at Theo as he continued speaking, “He has some anger issues and I’d really rather not have to do damage control for his dumb ass.” Liam snarled at Theo earning him a wink in return.
Neither of them budged, Liam’s yellow eyes turned back to stare into the red ones… daring him to fight him. Alpha or not he was ready, he needed a fight. It had been months since the hospital battle and he had a lot of pent up anger fueling him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Theo’s eyes flashed in annoyance at Liam. How could he be so god damn stupid?! With a low growl of his own, Theo moved and simply broke Liam’s fingers. Liam gave a terrifying, to humans of course, roar luckily right before the dj dropped the beat so everyone except for Corey and Mason thought it was part of the music.
With Liam now focused on him he slowly backed away with a smirk challenging Liam to follow him and leave the alpha. The alpha made moves to follow as well but Theo shook his head and glanced up to the balcony in silent communication. Hoping the alpha would understand that they were surrounded by hunters. He watched at the alpha sniffed the air, snarled, and then disappeared into the crowd of dancing bodies.
“Corey get Mason out of here now!” He said in a normal voice knowing that he would be able to hear him.
“What about Liam,” came the reply, “we can’t just walk out of here with him in wolf mode.”
“I got it just go, NOW!” Theo continued to back up across the dance floor with Liam slowly walking towards him.
“Liam I need you to change back.” His plead was met with a low growl. “Liam I’m serious, I can’t fight you and the hunters at the same time. Change.” He had almost reached the back emergency exit when Liam lunged for him.
They crashed into the door leading to the back alley and rolled to a stop by a bunch of empty bottles. Winded, it was all Theo could to to grab Liam’s wrists before he tried to punch him.
“Come on baby wolf, say Scott’s three things.” Liam stopped trying to hit him and tilted hit head at the name. So he tried again, “What are they baby wolf? What are the three things?”
Still frozen, Theo was surprised when Liam opened his mouth. “The sun…” Liam managed to snarl out, “the moon…” more human, “the truth.” Theo watched as his fangs slid back and then he rolled Liam off him. Standing up bringing Liam up with him he tightened his grip on the beta’s wrists.
“Again.” He sighed deeply as he watched Liam struggling to regain control. He looked into the baby’s bright yellow eyes and it took everything he had not to grab him and hug him.
“The sun, the moon, the truth.” Liam’s claws slowly slid back and turned into human fingers again. Releasing the harsh grip he had, he moved his hand to Liam’s shoulders.
“Just your eyes Liam, come on baby wolf… one more time.” He watched as Liam dropped his head to hide his eyes from him. Like hell, Theo thought to himself, I need to see them. Using his hand, he pushed Liam’s chin up making him look at him. “One more time.” He whispered softly but without question
Only they didn’t have time for that as a hunter chose that moment to turn down the alley. Theo didn’t sense any fear or anger coming from the man so he assumed that the guy didn’t know it was the two of them he was hunting. Liam’s bright yellow eyes stared into his and the hunter was getting closer and closer. He had to make Liam’s eyes change and he had to do it now.
Using his hand that was already under Liam’s chin he gripped his face and pushed him against the wall. The hunter a mere few feet away now so he took one last breath and slammed him mouth down on Liam’s.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Liam stood there frozen.
Theo was… kissing him. He went to push him off but Theo grabbed his hand and pinned it to the wall next to them. Theo kissed his jaw, turning his head to the side with his hand, and dragged his mouth to his ear. “He’s a hunter, close your eyes.” Liam’s eye snapped shut and he was left with the feeling of Theo kissing and biting his neck.
Liam dug his claws into Theo’s side, “Not there, don’t kiss there.” Theo moved back up to his mouth and sucked at his bottom lip. Liam had just started to return the kiss when Theo shoved off him and turned his back to him. Opening his eyes, he watched as Theo breathed heavily in and out and listened to his erratic heartbeat that matched his own.  He must just be anxious because the hunter was so close. Liam tried to take deep breaths to calm his but the feel of Theo’s lips on his neck wouldn’t go away.
“Let’s go.” Theo rasped out, turning to walk in the opposite direction than the hunter just had.
Liam followed blindly behind him and when they approached his truck he automatically went for the passenger side and slid in.
Liam watched as Theo braced himself against the truck taking deep breaths before actually getting in. He didn’t make any moves to start it up which Liam thought was odd considering there were hunters everywhere.
“Are we going to leave or…?” He asked with some sass. Earning a glare that melted into a smirk.
“Oh now you want to leave, only almost got us killed first. But hey what else is new?” Theo retorted.
What an asshole. It wasn’t his fault that an alpha tried to drag him away. “The alley was new…”
Theo whipped his head to look at him, the chimera’s eyes glowing bright “Not a word Liam, not a single word.”
“Alright geez.” Liam turned to look out the window and muttered “you’re the one that asked.”
The drive to Liam’s house was silent. Which meant that there was nothing stopping him from thinking about Theo kissing him. He didn’t mean to, his mind just kept replaying it over and over. His heartrate had begun to spike at the thought of Theo’s lips and teeth at the spot on his neck. Hayden hadn’t even been able to find “his spot”. Wondering if maybe Theo could find other spots on his body he shivered.
He was ripped from his thoughts when Theo asked “Why is your heart beating so fast.”
Blushing, he looked out the window and realized they were sitting in his driveway. “I don’t know” he replied lamely. Thank god his parents were gone on a weekend trip, he didn’t want to have to explain why his arms were covered in blood and why Mason and Corey weren’t with him.
Liam looked in the backseat and noticed the pillow and blanket. He glanced back to Theo and realized that he had been sleeping in his truck again. He closed his eyes and before he could stop himself blurted out “Want to crash here tonight?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Theo watched as Liam looked to his back seat and knew that he saw his bed. He watched as Liam closed his eyes and watched as he blushed when he asked him to stay.
“I don’t want your pity.” He spat out harshly. He didn’t mean for it to happen. He just couldn’t contain his anger. He didn’t understand why he kept kissing Liam even after the hunter had passed them. He didn’t know why he cared when that alpha grabbed him or why he almost lost it when the alpha made him bleed. Mostly, he didn’t know why he promised Scott that he would keep an eye on the baby wolf. It wasn’t his pack; he didn’t need to help them anymore. But for some unknown reason he couldn’t leave without knowing that Liam would be okay.
“I’m not pitying you. You saved me tonight… again. Just wanted to be nice.” Liam had finally opened his eyes and was looking right at him. His heartbeat jumped but he tried to cover it up with a deep sigh.
“Fine.” Theo shut the truck off and pulled his bag from the back. He followed Liam up the driveway and into the quiet house. “Where are your parents?” he asked wondering if he was going to have to explain why Liam had dried blood on his arms and why there were blood stains on him from when Liam clawed his side.
“They went away for the weekend.” Liam’s heartbeat jumped a couple times as he opened the door to his room. Theo was going to question it but thought better of it and put his bag on the floor. Liam turned to face him with questions in his eyes. But ended up looking away.
Sighing, “Out with it Liam, just ask.” Theo was tired, mentally drained after the events from tonight and didn’t have the patience to treat his baby wolf with kid gloves anymore. HIS baby wolf? Fuck fuck fuck. What’s wrong with you Theo. His inner monologue only stirring his anger more.
Liam opened his mouth to speak but closed it and then frowned. When he started again Theo was on the verge of exploding. “Where have you been? How did you know where I was?”
“I’ve been here the whole time, keeping an eye on your ass because you’re never in control!” He yelled.  “Do you know how frustrating it is to make sure you’re not going to change at any given moment? Scott made me promise to take care of you and half the time I don’t even know why I agreed. But then you pull shit like tonight and I remember why.” He was breathing heavily now. “Who honestly thinks they can take on an alpha by themselves? Oh that’s right, YOU.” Shaking his head, he walked to the window to try and focus on something else other than Liam’s scent that was surrounding him.
“Okay, wow, that was one time.” Liam’s voice showed annoyance but his chemo signals were telling a different story. It was too much for him, Theo’s head span and he lost control.
He whipped around and walked heavily toward Liam until he was standing in front of him, no more than a foot away. “And the lockers you ripped off the wall the other day? How about the car you dented… WITH YOUR HAND. And there’s my personal favorite, when you changed after a game and stalked the captain from the other team home.” He watched as Liam finally understood how everything always seemed to be fixed after he had an outburst.
“You’ve been following me? You put the lockers back? You fixed Mrs. Martin’s car? Wait… you… you were the animal that made me chase you into the woods?” Liam looked confused and that quickly turned to anger. “Why?” he demanded as Theo watched his eyes flicker to yellow.
“Calm yourself now. I’m not doing this shit with you for the second time tonight. I already broke your fingers and you put holes in my side.” At the mention of the kiss Liam’s eyes stayed yellow but his scent changed. Theo sniffed and he couldn’t place the change, he didn’t know what it was because Liam had never smelled like that before. Wait… yes he had. In the alley. Was it arousal? Fuck again.
“I told you not to kiss me there.” Liam said low in a growl. Theo couldn’t help but feel the tingle of arousal himself. He tried to hide it but Liam sniffed the air and let out a snarl but his eyes changed back. “What is that Theo. Why do you smell like that?”
“It’s nothing, I’m going to bed.” He turned to get his bag but Liam grabbed his arm and pulled him back. He leaned in and started smelling his neck and across his chest. Theo tried to push him away but Liam wouldn’t budge.
“Theo why do you smell like that.” Liam’s nose touched his collar bone and his heartbeat started to increase. “Why is your heart going crazy Theo? Hmm?”
“Liam cut it out, I’m serious.” Theo said through clenched teeth. A bead of sweat had started to drip down his face from being this close to Liam in addition to being surrounded by his scent.
“Oh come on Theo, you judge me for being out of control yet here you are sounding dangerously close to it yourself.” Liam mocked him.
Before Liam knew what was happening Theo had him pushed up against a wall with his hands pinned above his head. “Don’t start a game that you’re not ready to play baby wolf.” He stated flashing his eyes at Liam before letting them go back to normal
Liam looked up at him and whispered “Who says I’m not ready to play?” Theo leaned in and was about to touch his lips to Liam’s when he saw Liam’s eyes change.
Smirking, he pulled back and said “You’re losing already. Are you sure you want to play?”
TO BE CONTINUED TOMORROW ON GAME DAY. Nothing like a game of chicken or battle of wills ;)
