lisaph has gigantic eyes, crazy fast reflexes like a cat, and her middle paws are modulated for fine motor skills like humans (she will sometimes cheat and use four hands though). she also loves fighting games!

what i bet you didn’t expect is that geneph is also fantastic at video games, and the two of them regularly go head-to-head in epic dbz budokai or muse dash showdowns)

Starting by, and taking my chance before RoW comes out: Zoya is the one to kiss Nikolai first.

Now, Nikolai might be the one who gets close and gives a chance, but it's her who closes the gap. And he gets so happy and dumb about it, he smiles like an idiot and his ears get all red and only after that its him who kisses her all over her face (and he does that a lot, he just.... kisses her a lot through her face and body whenever he has the chance)

Talking about which, Nikolai smiles through kisses . He's That Kind of Guy™

I also think they're both incredibly attracted to the other's authority and capability of leadership? (but maybe im just proyecting)

Also: we didn't get enough of them in Ruin & Rising but i know they bantered. It was minimal, a couple jokes, not too serious compliments, orders given with a smile and a sassy comment. And probably small conversations at night observing the stars above them and clouds below. Or hell maybe they were in complete silence. But I tell you, there was complicity and partnership there, as minimal as it was.

I also think they give each other fashion or beauty advice when needed. "no you should keep the top open, it maes you look more approachable" "i love red on you but i think a nude goes best with that dress" "definetely the tall ones" and this is all done in the middle of other conversations as they get ready foe something else. And she fixes his hair and he helps her corset up or put on a necklace (with a kiss on her neck of course!)

(talking about nikolais hair, he has That One Rebel Strand that always falls on his forehead. he tries to push it back especially in military settings so he'll look like A Man™, specially when he was younger, but it wouls always fall and make The Commander™ look like a carefree boy. it cute. everyone thinks so.)

I also think theyre super competitive with each other. Board games will get INTENSE, they raise their voices ans pull out entire arguments no one knows where from as to why "you had no right to take that from me" and "you know mine hsd the higher number dont try to deflect the attention". Risk nights are a nightmare.

And my favourite one, which isn't so much of a zoyalai headcanon but instead a zoya and nikolai headcanon separately: zoya has the neatest handwriting, and it's flowery and elegant and always in blue ink and reading her letters is a delight because they look so pretty. Nikolai's? a mess. A whole mess. painkillers every 8 hours kind of mess. he can't even read it. when writing letters to people he writes in capital letters cause theres no way you can read that if not.

Overall, theyre that old couple that banter and you know they dance everyday in the kitchen.
