aight, first of all, LOVED HWG. its genius and dripping with game of thrones style tension and plot and unffffff. just one question, do u have any visual guide or pic of what yuuris eyes are? im assuming that theyre the typical eastern asian eyes like guang hong but you always seem to point out how unique yuuris eyes are from the rest of them. do u have a certaim model or person u based them on??? lysm uwu

Hello there! Every time someone mentions that hwg has some GoT air to it, it flatters me to no end! ;~;

Regarding Yuuri’s eyes, the whole uniqueness came from the fact that to me, as a person from Asia, can easily tell the difference between different eastern eyes. Otabek’s, and Phichit’s eyes, for example, are very different from Yuuri’s in my head.  Guang Hong’s Chinese eyes may be the most similar, but Yuuri has larger pupils and the difference is still noticeable to me, and by extension, my characters. We have to also consider the fact that in an anime perspective, Yuuri has larger eyes than Victor, so it’s hard to imagine them not animated as it is. Yuuri has Japanese features that 99% of the characters have never seen before, except Minako, but in her case, they get overlooked because of her burns. The characters have seen Thai people, Kazakhstani, and Chinese people before. But a Japanese person? Never. So it’s always a bit baffling, especially when they see it for the first time from a man as attractive as Yuuri, who just NATURALLY has beautiful features, Asian or not.I don’t have a model but I hope this answer helps! Just remember… fanfic logic!
