My ocs Pash and Illoma!!

why does your ship deserve to be considered the most toxic?:

OKAY SO theyre blorbos from a book a plan to write and basically the premise is that the main character, Illoma, is tasked with assassinating Pash. Theyre both from different families that have control over dragons and are both dragon riders in their own right. Illoma is from the 2nd most powerful house right after the royal family, which Pash is a part of. Their empire is ruled by an immortal god-king who has had many children over the course of his long life. Pash is one of his many descendants, but highest in the line of succession after her father (which is meaningless since the king is immortal). Basically, Illoma's mother believes that Pash's parents are going to try to find a way to kill their emperor and put her on the throne. This would be a terrible outcome for everyone because Pash is a hedonistic party girl who seems to have no regard for her own life or the lives of other people. She shows up to important meetings drunk/high, has a reputation for sleeping around with women, and is overall just an undisciplined mess. Illoma is a dutiful daughter who follows the rules of society, so when her mother tells her that she needs to kill Pash for the good of the empire, Illoma does what she says. It’s easy to emotionally disconnect herself from the action at first because Illoma doesn’t know Pash at all and doesn’t particularly like her. So she tries to poison Pash. When it fails the first time, she tries again, and again, and again. None of the poisons she’s been given are working. So Illoma is left with no choice but to get closer to Pash so she can try to kill her more effectively. The twist ends up being that Pash is basically a hommuculus created for the sole purpose of dying in some blood ritual that will kill the immortal god-king. She has a year left before this happens, but until then, he body has the regenerative properties of Wolverine. So with what little time she has left, she’s decided to keep herself entertained by fucking with Illoma. At one point, she makes a toast in Illoma’s honor to praise her tenacity and drinks the goblet Illoma poisoned while making direct eye contact with her. It only gets worse from there. As they grow closer, Illoma finds that she has more and more trouble keeping her gay thoughts in check. She is a super repressed lesbian and Pash is a very much not repressed lesbian. Illoma resents Pash quite a bit for being able to break all the rules without any consequences but genuinely has fun when they go out on excursions together. Lots of projection on Illoma’s part and gaslighting on Pash’s (“haha what do you mean you stabbed me last night, Im sitting right here at breakfast!”) Halfway through the story they start boning. Illoma is still actively trying to figure out a way to kill Pash and Pash is both aware of this and aroused by some of her more intimate attempts. They have an actual connection and like each other as people, but they have opposing goals and lots of underlying animosity to work out. In the meantime, they’ll be making out about it.

i’m about to ruin your day anon because i freely admit it changes every single time i talk about it.. however. I do have some iterations i come back to because they’re fun. Let’s go.

Canonically we know: several children, henry middle child, dad’s a clever man she met in hong kong he was fine but seo couldn't bear it, dad is in the lab trying to replicate bee.

I dont like this for many reasons. i’ve straight up modded mr cheng out for an entirely different character description. I DO kind of consider this canon in my head ngl so everything else fudges bc of it. Character details: - buys patents and pretends they’re his el*n m*sk style. He may be smart at business but he doesnt know a THING about tech or science. his r&d department does every little thing for him. Including bee. He is functionally a succession character i.e born into wealth and kind of an immature baby because of it. - For this reason he is fundamentally incapable of relating to henry or seondeok’s drive for something More: he is happy where he is, he doesn’t know why seo can’t just stay home and be #female, he doesn’t know why henry can’t just stop being such a bummer (shy+somber during a family party a YEAR after he gets kidnapped) and hopes his son grows out of it because he’s really annoying to have near the rest of the family + not worth ruining the vibe. - net worth possibly greater than the ganseys’ combined if you count stock prices. And YET he gets upset with henry breaking shit because hes fundamentally an asian parent . it’s about the principle (of yelling at your children). - i dont think he’s EVIL i just think he genuinely just does not particularly give a shit. think shiv with catherine, henry disconcerts him and his solution is that he simply wont look at henry. - tbh here is the point i just sub in my readymade OC darion cheng for him if i need to hash any lore out

As for the rest of the family, I definitely rotate the layout-- i think henry being the youngest child makes more sense given seondeok’s timeline. But even if he isn’t there’s only one real pregnancy after him, maybe twins to make the ‘several’ descriptor accurate. Seo’s definitely FULLY checked out after around, <5 years of henry being around. I usually settle around 3-5 kids. >older brother, older sibling, henry, twin 1 , twin 2 [5] >older brother, older brother, henry [3] >older brother, older sister, older brother, henry [4] >older brother, older sibling, henry, youngest daughter [4] >older brother, older sister, older brother, henry, youngest sibling [5] I prefer the last 3. i do always specifically see One sibling actually making the effort to check in on henry (like.. Once in 3 months), always the oldest one bc he would have had the most time with seondeok before she went crazy. AKA he’s the one with a relatively normal family life. He fulfills the helen/declan narrative role of older sibling is convinced theyre my parent. has a minimum 10+ years of difference from henry.

The next sibling(or sibling pair) ignores him like their life depends on it. Henry WHOM. never met him. He makes them uncomfortable because they dont know WHAT happened to him he just feels a little too autism-coded for their liking. on a psychological level they’re jealous THEIR time with mommy was cut short when she went crazy and decided to keep custody of only henry and never ever see them. Ergo he’s the 8 year old enemy. they’re the ones most aligned with dad’s POV.

IF there is a youngest sibling(s) (<5 years’ difference) i feel she tries the hardest to get henry’s attention and fails every time. Either he wants her VERY clear of the fairy market business/associated risk or he just has completely washed his hands of his father’s family by the time she gains sentience. Its sad bc i feel he could he a good older brother if he tried or was yk, given the chance to interact stably with the rest of them growing up. but alas.

all in all, henry is his mother’s son and the rest of his family are his father’s children. THAT is the most important distinction. good old divorced family slay /j.

Who do you think was the mist immoral character of Moral Orel Clay or Censordoll? Do you think there were evil characters in the show or were they just flawed people trying to do what they perceived as the right thing?

if ms censordoll was a real person i would despise her, but in the show shes really fun and interesting to watch imo! of course i dont condone book burning and censorship i just think shes a good character to critique and make fun censorship with, plus i love her voice whoever her voice actor is did a great job. to be honest i havent rewatched the episodes where shes a main focal point in a long while so i need to refresh my memory before id be able to really form a strong opinion on her that i would stand by firmly

clay is an abusive addict with no interest in anyone else but himself, he has no agenda other than to get drunk and be miserable. i mean maybe he’s “invested” in teaching orel because he’s his only (legitamate) son but then... nature still happened. clay often talks about how hes distant from his family on purpose and doesnt care about them so i dont think he really gives that much of a shit all in all. i know he had a difficult childhood (yet another episode i need to rewatch (its been years), im on s2e3 so i still have a ways) but it doesnt justify like anything he does. cool motive still murder yknow? clay reminds me a lot of my religious alcoholic estranged father so i DEFINITELY have a personal bone to pick with clay cuz ive been there.

when it comes to whether the townspeople are evil, i feel like that question really lies at the heart of the show, not just for clay and censordoll but almost everyone in moralton (cept for orel of course). i could go into that concept for the next seventeen years so i wont right now but i think between the both of them at least censordoll probably thought she was doing the right thing for the people in her town. not that anything she did was actually right, but organizing all those daily pickets and book burnings must take some effort, right? someone who didnt care at all wouldnt go through the trouble. she seems to like genuinely care about moralton being righteous, even if her idea of righteous media is completely skewed and wrong. i wouldnt call that evil, horribly misguided and incorrect definitely but evil? im not really sure.

again tho its been a while so my opinion might change as i run thru s2 and 3 again, and im really starting to consider that if censordoll was a real person i probably would consider her to be evil but that might be more of a comment on my thought processes and perception of people than censordoll herself... lol

i dont know if clay even thinks he’s doing the right thing by orel truly. i think somewhere deep inside past his addiction there is someone in there trying to do something for orel, trying to keep him on the right path in a weird and terribly unfortunate way. clay has made it clear through his actions that he will not engage with parts of his family that he doesnt care about (cough bloberta and shapey cough), and he seems to always make time for orel. whenever orel needs to talk to him, clay is around to give his lessons and “guidance”. maybe thats just because his lessons are a crucial part of the show, but i think that shows. some effort? some acknowledgement? that he doesnt show to anything else other than drinking.

unfortunately clay is a sick motherfucker. he’s so rooted in his own trauma and addiction that he cant see anything other than his own pain. and i do absolutely sympathize with that, ive dealt with my own traumas and addictions and you lose sight of who you are and what you value. sometimes people can get to the point where they lose everything they love other than the bottle, and then they die and lose that too. its a disease, and its absolutely not someones fault that they have an alcohol problem.

but clay gives into himself. he makes no effort to change his situation, bloberta even brings this up in s1ep10 when theyre arguing about shapey’s breastfeeding. she tells him to quit his stinkin dead end job and stop being such a crybaby and you know what shes mean af but shes right! all clay does is wallow around and drink because hes miserable and stays miserable because he drinks. he numbs everything out instead of changing his life for... convenience? image? fear? probably a combo

my real problem with clay is that he hurts people because he is hurt. thats where my sympathy dies and i no longer really care about his motivations and trauma. i think nature is the clearest example of that, but clay hurts orel throughout the show. like damn he literally beats the kid with a belt in 90% of the episodes. its just not justifiable to me at all.

i will say one more thing that clay does that i think really says something about him. everytime orel does something wrong, clay takes him to his study, beats/spanks him with the belt (we never see it so who knows how severe it is), and then talks to orel. and orel LISTENS. ALWAYS. clay doesnt have to beat orel to punish him, orel has such a strong sense of loyalty and obiedience that his true punishment is his fathers disappointment. orel always listens to what clay says without question, and clay still finds it nessecary to beat him. it makes me think that clay gets something else out of that interaction like vindication, stress relief, or something of that nature. its cruel, and its selfish. its like beating a dog. you dont have to do it to make him listen to you, so why do it? probably for a reason other than discipline.

clay and censordoll are obvs the two people we’re talking about but a lot of people in moralton do bad things for the sake of righteousness and goodness. like i said a bit earlier i really do think that question is The Big Question of the show, and i feel like many people will have varying opinions based on their own morals and life experiences. the intricate motivations and values of each of the characters in moral orel is one of the things that makes the show so great and so interesting that here i am writing a long winded “analysis” on it on tumblr a decade after it was released.

i predict that hisoka will show up in this upcoming zoldyk arc somewhere bc illumis gonna be in it (i assume) and theyre dating. also hisoka is a central character so itd make sense for him to show up in the second major arc. tho tbh this could end up being completely false and i wouldnt be that shocked lmao

i think leorio is gonna get Big Sad someday bc hes like, so normal compared to the other MCs, and also hes suuuuch a bleeding heart (i love him....) so i feel like thats gonna lead to some sadness for him once his friends start doing crazy shit or w/e 

also i predict that if he gets nen itll be like healing nen or st. does that even exist??? idk jack shit abt nen lmao 

i think that illumi has hypnosis powers or something, even just based on design alone. it could defs be for aesthetic (character design in hxh is wild), but his eyes look noticeably different from any other characters. also he was doing some freaky shit to killua. also i held this prediction before seeing the part where this is brought up so we’ll see if its right lmao 

as for this upcoming arc -  ruth and i are wondering if itll be similar to the vinsmoke drama in one piece - character goes back to abusive family, squad goes to rescue them...and then character refuses to be recused. w/sanji it was partially bc the vinsmokes threatened to kill zeff, his TRUE dad, but i predict in this case it could be more like the zoldyks saying ‘look killua these 3 weirdos showed up looking for you, convince them to leave or we’ll kill them’ and killua will be like, oh shit bc like.....think abt it. the vinsmokes targeted zeff (and not the strawhats) bc they knew they could easily kill him. same goes here, i assume - a family of trained assassins vs Good Good Fishing Rod Smell-Power Boy (who hasnt thrown a single punch yet), Lanky Dr Man With A Switchblade We Havent Seen Him Use Onscreen, and Mx 2 Wooden Sticks, Bloodlust, and Arachnophobia - 3 For 1 Deal! its a no-contest. so thats one thing i could see happening, potentially

...also, how /is/ he doing this? the way Perceive works isn’t just “i can sense that you’re uncomfortable”, it’s that people who can use it have extremely good eye-sight and see tiny little movements in other people. If they’re smart about it, they can tell that the movements mean the enemy is lying. Apollo just happens to get tense when he notices this, most likely because he’s kind of straining his eyes.

But then again that brings up the fact that his power would act up CONSTANTLY, either because EVERYBODY FIDGETS, or Apollo himself could just be stressed and making the bracelet squeeze on its own.

do you think there is any chance of Keith and Lotor being half brothers or something

ok so ive been thinking about this a lot myself lately so hERE w e gO:

well,, as someone who has both a druid keith theory and also cant get over the noticeable similarities between haggar and lotor, uhHHH,,,,

i wouldnt rule it out as a possibility. it would certainly make for an interesting dynamic between the two. for one thing, we know that lotor is at least not full galra, and most probably part altean. ive said it before and ill say it again, but i definitely think giving both allura’s family and haggar white hair while still keeping lotor’s white was v much intentional, and shows some kind of relation between them. now, we know lotor looks pretty visibly both galran and altean. and if he’s still zarkon’s son, then we can pretty safely assume thats where most of his galra genes come from. of course, if he and keith were both haggar’s sons, then that would make keith somewhat altean as well. 

but i mean, nothing that says keith’s other parent has to be full galra. there’s this one thing hunk says that kinda tips it off, but i feel it gets kinda glossed over:

so i think this kinda opens the door for a lot of different options. this galra thing could be something that goes back a few generations, or could be a case where his other parent wasnt fully galra (like haggar) and in the case of an altean parent, we can also explain away keith’s completely human appearance with the whole shapeshifter gene thing

but see like,,, becuase im someone who really believes haggar is lotor’s mom, i just dont like this theory purely because…then i have to live with the idea that keith’s dad got with haggar lmao. like, i really think a lot of mr kogane’s parenting choices were bad enough (you didnt even get that boy a bed to sleep in bro) but i would hope he maybe had the good sense not to get involved with an evil space witch ya know

haggar and kogane would also be really weird because, well, supposedly keith’s mom was in the bom. haggar really seems invested in looking out for zarkon, i cant see her ever trying to start a coup. she was also pretty deadset on stopping keith and thace, so uh…ya…

but, if we rule out haggar as the mom, then things dont get much easier. cause then youre stuck with a scenario where zarkon’s queen/girlfriend/whatever was a rebel plotting to overthrow him. like, as soon as he found out, she would end up very dead very fast. i could see lotor quickly getting disowned over something like that, maybe even thrown in prison, tortured for information (depending on his age), ect. i also highly doubt lotor would sound so loyal to zarkon in vld if his mom really did go against zarkon, especially given the way he handled his dad killing her in the original 

but, then aGAIIIN,,,

we dont actually know for sure that keith’s mom was loyal to the bom. i mean, if you look at the whole scene in keith’s hallucination–that does not look like a very nice homecoming. kogane says keith’s mom is on the way, but you know who else is in the way? the giant fucking galra ship and that army of droids that are invading earth. like, this does not make his mom look like one of the Good Guys

the way this scene is portrayed, it seriously looks like his mom is with the invasion force. its also really suspicious that keith says the bom have told him nothing so far. what even was the point of the whole knowledge or death thing if you dont even?? get the knowledge??? that makes me feel like the bom are hiding stuff from him–you know, more so than your average secret alien society i guess 

also!! something i think really gets overlooked–remember why ulaz freed shiro in the first place? ya, that was cause the galra had discovered the blue lion. on earth. 

you know, the same lion thats conveniently within walking distance of keith’s shack. 

the same shack where keith’s dad lives. and as far as we know, he was the first and only human to ever interact with a galra on earth. then, suddenly, they’re both gone. and some years later, the galra magically have intel that the blue lion is on earth. we have no evidence that there were any other scouts there other than keith’s mom though. 

so like, im not saying keith’s mom tipped off the galra about where the blue lion was, but like…if she did i wouldn’t be all that surprised 

so anyway, long story short–i think on the genetics side of things, it makes sense. theyre both partially galra. lotor is also clearly part altean, and altean genes might explain why keith looks the way he does (and can sense/connect with other lions like allura does). but the biggest problem then is you have to reconcile the fact that the person zarkon was with was also maybe an agent of the bom. and even if she was loyal to zarkon and not them, then she’s still considered a traitor to keith’s dad and the resistance. 

so either way their mom would be a traitor, and i dont know that might be too much of an incongruence for the narrative. but i mean, if they did have the same mom, then lotor and keith would likely have very varying opinions on her (depending on her loyalty) and the way their own dynamic would play out from that could be very interesting. 

removing their mom from the equation for a minute, i do think having lotor and keith related in some way does make sense thematically though. because, right now there’s no real connection. the thing that really fueled their rivalry in the original was lotor’s obsession with allura–something that staff has already said theyre not bringing back. so like, i think there needs to be something else there to kinda spark that rivalry. ya, the fact that they’re both half-galra could do it. but i think it makes it so much more personal if lotor’s family. 

especially since it would be the ultimate thing to test keith’s loyalty to the team–his found family, or his biological one? and honestly, as someone who’s struggled with my own family for years, to see keith not give a damn about his blood and love team voltron just the same would be so rewarding for me. because, wasn’t that part of what keith realized in season 2? that he doesn’t necessarily need whatever his lost family could’ve given him to feel whole? that team voltron is still his family just the same? i think its way more powerful a message to show that, even if your family doesnt accept you, even if they arent there for you, even if they’ve done horrible things, you can still always find people out there who will love and accept you. you can find your own family 

so ya, i think making keith and lotor brothers could ultimately lead to some really good character development and a nice overarching theme that ties into voltron’s whole found family thing. and i would really like that honestly 

one last thing real quick–that thing with their eyes. ya, i know there are scenes where keith’s eyes look more purple depending on the light. but, you know who else has eyes the same color as keith’s for the one scene they’re in? mr father of the year right here

so im not sure id really hinge everything on something like eye color, especially considering that there’s this whole debate over whether keith’s are purple/violet/grey/blue/whatever. but i do think the fact that lotor inherits purple eyes instead of the traditional galra yellow, as well as the fact that keith’s do look distinctly purple in some light, can maybe point to something. not really sure what, but its something. doesn’t change the fact that kogane’s eyes look really similar to his son’s though (more importantly, they look similar in the same lighting, so we know its the color itself and not just a trick of the light)
