as for how i view nicky & angies dynamic - i am sure i'm in the small percentage of people ( if any really! ) that view their dynamic more like disastrous siblings.

i touched a bit on that topic in a different ask preluding to this one, i know some fans may ship them together! i'm not really big on shipping those two romantically because as i said, i mainly have seen abusive takes and written fics about them - specifically on nicholas behalf toward angelique!

i mean i CAN see the appeal some fans may have about Nicholas/Angelique in that sense, don't get me wrong! enemies to lovers, enemies that stay enemies, enemies with benefits, etc. i Understand and acknowledge that! in my personal view it would be very hard to spin either of them having any kind of healthy romantic relationship. there may be fans out there who might prefer it that way but i'm not one of them. shrugs!

for my own interpretation of their dynamic - they bicker, never see eye to eye with each other and they are competitive… they taunt each other too lol they both try to one-up each other on the regular, trying to gain diabolos favor.

thing is, THEY don't see each other as siblings but that is how i would consider them to be - i love interpreting them this way because it is fun and entertaining. i jokingly refer to them as brother and sister often ^_^

an amusing example i have is the clip where nicholas adamantly wants to be the one to kill jeb. it radiates petty sibling energy so much its hilarious

i believe that in a general sense, diabolos favors angelique over nicholas, which drives him up a wall and makes his teeth grind in irritation. i would say this is backed up by canon, because diabolos is generous with giving angelique chances and solemnly gives nicholas the same treatment unless nicholas comes up with a scheme. the favoritism is real and nicholas got bitchy older brother syndrome
