i dont know where to scream about this but i honestly feel some sort of weird relief that r//nbow high is declining. i knoooow i know it's popular and they've been such high quality dolls and collectors have loved them and some(?) people like the web series (or do they? ive heard mixed things but ive never had any interest in watching it) but oh god. i just. sometimes it takes me awhile to appreciate modern doll lines and their aesthetics but i just could not get past their weird fish faces and in general i do not like monochrome styling themes. i realize their designers did so much with their concepts, i realize a lot of heart and effort went into them, and i completely understand why so many people were floored with the quality of the dolls and the rate at which they were being put out. even though the prices kept rising for them, you could at least see where your money was going, like they were always so well-constructed and doing new things. but like. at the end of the day. on a very basic level they were just never all that aesthetically pleasing to me and it was kind of maddening to see all that potential going towards a line of dolls that had just... like... facial proportions i could not get past lol.

GOD this is so true, of course she'd have a hard time with boundaries, cults aren't exactly known for respect of personal space. Lack of boundaries are like, their whole thing. She'd be very aware of boundaries that keep her "pure" ( 🤢🤮) but she's probably willing to do whatever it is the clump tells her to do, which isn't great and it kind of makes Red and Duck feel sick to their stomach whenever she implies it.

Moving on to her complete lack of healthy physical affection, you're so right about her being worse than Green OR Yellow, they've at least lived with Red and Duck for a while, so they've moved into less touch-starved waters, but the first time Pink ever had a smidgeon of positive touch is Duck holding her hand to lead her into the house and from then on she's obsessed with physical affection. It was one of the bravest things she'd ever done, touching his hand, it made her feel queasy (she was 'sullying' herself after all) but she was too tired to care, to worn out, like a rope that was fraying and ready to snap, but he was so kind to her, and she'd forever associate the feeling of being affectionately held to being safe, so she's understandably addicted to it (so to speak)

Red of course is the obvious choice (the man is a living, breathing overstuffed teddy bear) and he's already very well-versed in the cuddling and snuggling of yellow children in his life, and he's the one most willing to put off chores, so he's always got her on his hip, or in his lap, or draped across his stomach as he naps on the couch, or clinging to his back, face buried in his yarn, arms wrapped so tightly around him he can scarcely breath but he can't find it in his heart to scold her.

Duck is just as good, he's the one who opened her up to the world of physical affection after all, and she seeks out his affection CONSTANTLY to re-live the feeling of discovering a part of the world she didn't know existed. He's less willing to clear his schedule, but he'll hold her hand as he does his daily duties, and no matter how much it impedes his cooking he won't let go (it makes Red very gooey whenever he notices them, stood together at the stove, Duck stirring something with one hand, the other squeezed in Pink's tight grip as she jabbers his ear off, Duck nodding absently, semi-annoyed in the way Red finds very endearing) He'll share Red's armchair with her sometimes, thumbing through magazines together (Duck reads all the old lady grocery store rags about celebrities and politicians interpersonal lives and fashion and all that garbage) her head cushioned on his shoulder, eyes growing heavy with sleep.

Duck will help her brush her hair, Red shows her the proper way to brush her teeth, and it's a moment of bonding for them as he shows his mouth to her for the first time (she thinks they're SO COOL, all the kids do)

Her and Yellow and Green play like puppies, and sleep like them too, flopped together in a warm, giggly pile wherever they are, on the kitchen floor, in the grass outside, on Red's bed, in the bathtub, anywhere they can drop they will. Duck has taken to opening doors slowly before he enters a room in case they're sleeping in front of it. Her and Yellow are so snuggly sometimes it's hard to tell where one starts and the other begins, and even Green starts to get more comfortable with touching and hugging and kissing than he was before (due to the whole 'I feel like an outcast and these people want to get rid of me' thing that took place when he first showed up) so her presence is actually really healing for Green as well.

Pink went from saving her first kiss for her wedding day to peppering her families faces with kisses any chance she gets, giggling breathlessly with Yellow as they touch foreheads, nuzzling against Green's shoulder during his non-verbal days, screaming with laughter as Duck nibbles her cheek, her neck, her nose, reaching her arms up for Red to gather her into his own, pressing soft smooches over his yarn in random spots because she can't figure out where his cheeks are. Feeling so loved, so safe, so drunk on affection she feels giddy and warm. So much love she could drown in it, after a life lived in a desert of affection, no wonder she seeks it out so much.

I just think.... Subtle reminders of how young the Gaang is,.... Like its one of my favourite details to add when writing them at either their canon ages or younger..... like Zuko still wouldve had baby fat when he got burned, Aang, Sokka, Zuko, their voices all wouldve just started to crack. They all probably got acne, hell, Toph and Aang were probably still losing teeth!! First periods!! While dealing with a WAR!!! I dont think people realise how young 12-16 really is, especially when you're younger and first watching the series. I've worked with kids for a good while, ranging from six years old up until sixteen, and my GOD they're so young. Theyre so little. I had 14 year olds celebrating losing their last tooth, I had some who had to get teeth taken out because they needed braces ASAP but couldnt because they still had some baby teeth. I worked with teens and saw the mortification on their faces when their voice cracked, I had them asking me for advice on skincare because "proactive is just so harsh, thats what Tik-Tok tells me but my mum wont listen!!" Whenever I'd come back from work, and watch some kind of show no matter what it was, and I'd see a kid going through whatever prophecy was being pushed onto them, I'd think about that. I'd think about baby fat on cheeks, voices cracking, pimples, first periods, and the confusion of being old enough to fight in a war when you still remember the last time you played with a toy or were sung to sleep....

1. Gods and humans

I think the difference between gods and humans was the physical form. Gods dont have a set image ;they can be however we imagine them to be; and maybe this is why theyre not prisoners of the  burden of owning a physical body, full of needs, weak and vulnerable. Humans posess one single image, bound by the physical form and all of its urges and flaws, cursed to be defined by it.

  And maybe, celebrities touched the "being" of gods, only; they came the closest. Because, think of it : they present us this clear, polished version of an artist, public figure and what not, so flawless, that it lacked individuality, intimacy, humanity  even.

   Everything ugly is swept under the rug, leaving a blank space for personal interpretation. The public and the fans were left to make these people whatever and however they whished them to be.

   Maybe, you'd say, they're, in theory, just like gods : perfect, worshipped, powerful, influential, idolisef, fluid; but here comes the one biggest difference of reason : gods aren't real. Celebrities are; and human at that. All that was swept under the rug was still there, lingering on the back of their throats, pushing them gently on the back to cross the already thin line between sanity and insanity.

   And maybe, by my foolish desires to be close to them, I was trying to touch the gods too.

I hate her so much but idk if I should say something and endanger my grade or just keep quiet :S

The warm morning sun was peering from the window and into the room bathing everything in sight in his warm colors birds chirped happily outside while a pleasant smell of fresh baked chocolate cookies came from the kitchen as a pair of dreamy sigh filled the air, nuzzled blissfully immersed in their sheets affectionately watching in each other eyes with sleep still clinged to their features as they stifled yawns behind smiles were lazying around a peculiar pair of lovebirds "Bonjour mon prince." "Bonjour mon déese." she chuckled softly at his words as he slowly leaned over kissing her forehead, caressing her blond curl away from her gorgeous face whispering tenderly "Happy brithday my love."

She looked stunned at him her amethyst eyes crinkling with affection as she threw her arms behind his neck kissing him on the lips "Thank you so much Napoleone." "You seriously do not thought I forget." she smiled softly shaking her head lightly feeling heat rushing on her cheeks, she was sure Napoleone would have not but a part of her was afraid still for he was such a busy man she would have not blamed him, he let his fingers brush lightly on her cheeks gently lifting her chin looking straight into her eyes

"Good because I could never forget my precious reine special day." softly he melted his lips on hers entwining his fingers with her as his tongue danced with hers swallowing her ever so light whimper of pleasure escaping her luscious pink lips, blissfully losing themselves in a slow tender session of lovemaking before reluctantly sliding off the bed only when he beamed brightly about something he wanted to show her in town, after a lavish breakfast worthy of a King that spoiled her palate along the happy wishes of a pleasant birthday from the resident of the mansion.

Once reached their destination he hugged her from behind keeping his hands on her eyes slowly he lead her forward feeling her hands grip lightly his arms to not lose balance, he chuckled softly at her smile whispering lowly in her ear "Today I want to spoil you rotten but most of all I want you to feel how much I love you from the bottom of my heart." His finger slipped tenderly away from her eyes as he take her hand in his squeezing it lightly before raising it to his lips leaving a gentle kiss on her knuckles "Do you like it mon amour ?" she sighed dreamily not knowing what to say, so she decided to show him instead circling his neck and brushing her lips on his in a sweet slow kiss conveying all her emtions welled up from her heart for him alone.

"I love it so much my lion, I do not know what to say." she beamed brightly looking into her eyes making his heart melt at the brightness of her smile, warm and pure like her. Softly he cradled her face in his hands brushing his lips on her forehead hearing her giggle happily before leading her to the buffet prepared all for them to fest on, chocolate bon bons of any taste and flavour were elegantly lined up on a candid table but the thing that caught her eyes melting her heart the most was a little heart cake at the center of it topped with a little cherub, his eyes softened at the sight of her fingers sneaking subtly sliding a pink heart between her lips smiling widely as she rolled it over her tongue.

They stayed there all afternoon improvising an informal but lively party with Napoleon little students who, after her permission, enjoyed the lavish sweet treats helping them both clean the table by sunset, when they wandered off not without thanking their teachers of the party and wishing Napoleon's lover a really happy birthday, her heart bursted with happiness at the memory as they both chit chatted on the way back home, filling the golden bathed carriage with their hearty laugh.

Before they knew it the landscape changed from city to the countryside as the mansion entered in their vision reluctantly they pulled off wandering throught the corridor unusually quiet, she was about to enter in the dining hall elicited by muffled laugh and conspirational whispers that resonate through the door, slowly she went to look through the keyhole before placing her ear on it but in vain, startled by Napoleon voice she jumped back looking sheepshily at him "What are you up to ?" "Nothing." she answered lacing her fingers behind her back like a child caught with their hand stuck in the candy box "I see."

Her smile wide and playful, her jade dress and a mischievous glimpse in her amethyst eyes she looked like fairy, the blithe smile on his lips told her he knew whast she was doing all along eliciting her to confess candidly "Alright I was eaversdropping but I only wanted to get a glimpse inside." "If you are so curious why we not enter ?" "We can?" she beamed excitedly her eyes sparkling as her smile widened on her pretty lips "Of course, after all today is your special day for you to do everything you want." he whispered softly in her ear making her blush softly as he knocked at the door twice before opening it, walking trough it hand in hand.

All the light were off but Elaine could clearly hear muffled laugh and little chuckles as she looked for the switch on the wall, pressing it lighting the chandelier she turned her back to the table only to be welcomed by a cheer of "Surprise." a wide smile bright like the sun itself appeared on her lips as her eyes widened at the frilly decorations filing the whole room, an huge banner embroidered in colorful letter pinned on the wall HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELAINE while corals and jade garlands along shiny little trinkets adorned every surface on shelves and tables. The first to approach her was le Comte niece and her friend Julie smiling widely at her as her chartreuse green eyes glimmered with excitement as she hugged her tightly.

"Happy birthday Honey." reluctantly they pulled away, taking her hand in hers beaming brightly she asked "Do you like it ?" After few minutes in which she tried to collect her thoughts coherently enough she exclaimed "I adored it." her answer satisfied her friend enough making her giggle happily sliding away just in time for Elaine to catch a glimpse of Sebastian placing the biggest cake she has ever seen on the already full table.

Night was still young as another surprise hide behind the corner melting her already softened heart when Sebastian started filling the table with all her favourite dishes everyone not hesitated to fest on as soon as the birthday girl give its start with a bite to a luscious shrimp covered in a thin layer of pink seafood sauce, sharing home cooked meal made even more special by the noisy company of their friend that colored dinner with hearty laugh and carefree chit chat before diving in to have a piece of the triple layer cake everyone complimented Sebastian of, seeing the white chocolate one melt quite fastly thanks to Julie and her husband Jean that did not hesitated to dive in with their portions occasionally feeding little bites of cakes to one another much to the amusement of the resident that astounded looked up at them giggling like children as blissfull carefree smile were plastered on their face as white chcolate stuck to their fingers. He smirked maliciously murmuring softly "As you wish ma reine." taking her hand in his they slipped unnoticed away from the by now empty room giggling like children as they run through the hall directed to their bedroom, determined to show off his feeling far from prying eyes ready to make her day even more special showering her in his love with only the stars as witness of the emotions they would have shared to one another until dawn.
