I got these shoes from someone recently but thought they were way too plain looking, so I set out on a quest to customize them with some sharpies and charms and miscellaneous ribbon I had in my craft drawers. Mostly sky themed (clouds, rainbows, rain, stars, etc.) because that's my favorite aesthetic, but I had to include some cat imagery as well, of course lol.

#also honestly had NO IDEA that real converse have that star logo on the INSIDE not the outer part??? why the hell would you want it on the #inner portion where nobody can see it?? my entire life I always would have sworn it was on the outer facing portion..#I think these would be perfect IF they were just slightly taller (top part higher above ankles instead of just weird hard material digging #right into your ankle whenever you walk) and if they were actual good platforms. they're so short. It's good that 'chunky' shoes are gettin #more popular as they've always been my favorite Look ever since I had these shoes with roller skates that pop out of thebottom (not heelys.#but like. before those. it was two whole entire roller skate wheels like a normal pair of roller skates) and the bottoms were so tall and #clunky and it made my feet look giant (because it had.. entire wheels in the bottom pockets lol). so #I've alwatys been into the aesthetic but . still I find a lot of the 'brands jumping on trend' are too short of platforms #OR they're plafrorms with a raised back/heel/wedge which to me is not aesthetically good and also makes them exceptionally uncomfortable to #wear compared to just plain completely flat chunky platform bottoms. ANYWAY.. if these shoes had a 3 or 4 inch platform I think they'd be #cooler. however for what they are it's still fine! and I like them more now that they actually have some sort of anything to them and #aren't just plain white. The weird thing is that the material it's made out of (maybe some sort of leather or something) absorbs sharpie?#the color changes over time. You draw a mark and then leave it for a few days and it either fades into being barely there or has changed #colors. so I had to go back in and redo parts. ALSO the shoe chains are so funny because I did NOT have the right tools for them #I don't have the stuff to make bracelets or open and close the little rings. they're held onto the shoe with just safety pins and the actua #little rung things that hold the charms on half of them are like broken or the metal is just jam smushed together bent and warped hhbjhjhb #I actually like the back a lot where there's the irridecent star thing hot glued on there. it's cool and shiny. and the clouds #are sparkly on the main parts of the shoe though I'm not sure how well it shows up in pictures #ANYWAY... shoegs..... If I were rich this is one of the things I would definitely custom order from craftsman #why would I spend like thousands of dollars on plain ass shoes that are just expensive because they're a Luxury Brand when I could literall #like pay people to create me custom shoes to my exact specifications?? I could have like 5 inch flat platform boots with fur andclouds #and cat shaped holes in the bottom with LEDs in them with pom pom and charms and etc. etc. etc. Like as gaudy and excessively over #decorated as I want lol.. AND they could have skates in the bottom somehow!! ghjgbhjb #this on top of all the custom wizard costumes and period clothing I would order.. Like i LOVE customizing things. I love everything in my l #life being as particualr as possible and cultivating every experience I have to meticulously meet my own specific criteria as much #as is possible. If I had the money to I would never buy something from a store again. EVERYTHING I owned from furniture to clothing #would be either made by me - or mostly - comissioned from craftsmen. custom tiles for my floors. custom bed. custom table.#even like. custom toilet. custom sinks. etc. etc. ouGGH... but yeah.. anyway... shoes..

saw your post about no longer wanting to be a phan blog and i just wanted to say i get you especially the reaction to this tour has been very uncomfortable and i could never figure out exactly why it felt... overbearing ig??? but it has been building and the tour leak and announcement just seemed to put a spotlight on people seem to have learned nothing from the previous years and seem to think that now that they're back it's okay to push their boundaries because they're engaging with us again. and tbh i appreciate you for helping put into words the discomfort ive been feeling and it sucks that it turned out like this that the enjoyment of the thing gets harder because of others

I was so so hoping it wouldn't get like this again

The first 5-6 months of the gaming channel being back were mostly wonderful

Everyone was behaving and respectfully enjoying dnp being back as a duo

I've seen/felt it building up over the past few months but I kept ignoring it because I figured it was just newer phans who didn't know about any of "the lore"

But every time I'd check their page out it would almost always be someone in their mid-late 20s who has been around for 10+ years

I was dumbfounded

I genuinely cannot believe people still treat Dan and Phil like tv characters who exist purely for entertaining the masses

Its really sad

#i have had a lot of other dnp fans dming me and sending anonymous asks sharing this same sentiment #to my surprise #i thought i was alone on this opinion for a long time #which is part of the reason i tried to ignore the way i was feeling for so long #i think i started feeling something was off when the “dangender” shit started #and then people started calling dnp autistic because they're weird guys #thennnn people started started crossing boundaries discussing their sex lives #jokes and bants about it are fine #dnp dont seem to mind that too much and make these jokes themselves #but phans (as always apparently) started to take it too far #people keep projecting shit onto them #and being overall disrespectful as fuck to both of them #so when i opened tumblr and the first thing i saw was that the tour got leaked #and saw everyone gloating and screaming about it on every corner of the internet i genuinely got super angry #i walked away from my phone for an hour then came back to quit being a phanblog lol #like you assholes couldn't wait a few more hours for them to announce this thing they've been busting their asses on for MONTHS #you just had to camp out on ticketmaster and overanalyze everything that they did in order to prove that you were “right”#but at least you were right right?#fuckin selfish greedy and entitled behavior #its gross and honestly dnp should not have to put up with this kinda shit

one of my favorite parts of strategy games like chess and advance wars is that feeling when you haven't quite won yet but the enemy has no real options so it feels like you're just sloowly wrapping around them like a snake. when all your enemy has is their king and you've managed to turn 3 of your pawns into queens, and all you've gotta do is get in juust the right position, and in the meantime all they can do is squirm. god, that's such a wonderful feeling. nothing quite like it

#incidentally i don't like it when versions of chess insist on enforcing a stalemate rule #honestly to a certain extent i feel like if your enemy has nothing but a king and you've got more than one queen that should just be an #automatic win. like exodia except instead of the individual pieces being useless they're all the most powerful monster card in the game #i think the favorite card i had as a kid was my five headed dragon. thought that shit was so cool. 5000 in both attack and defense???#it seemed unbeatable to my little kid brain. also it was a dragon. of course i loved it #i never learned how to Actually play yugioh of course. just what rules my stupid kid reading comprehension could understand #im pretty sure a monster has to be in play for you to be able to sacrifice it. i didn't know that so i filled my deck with nothing but #really strong monsters and i'd just sacrifice some directly from my hand to summon what i wanted #i stole a lot of yugioh cards as a kid from target. i'm comfortable saying this online because the statute of limitations has absolutely ru #out by now. i looked it up.#i remember for the first time i stole a box set that had exodia. i remember on my way home so i could open it... i genuinely felt like ther #was something mystical in that box. something ancient. there was something really special about that to my kid brain #i'd later steal quite a few more because i got the bright idea to fill a deck with nothing but exodia cards. i figured i'd always have a #first draw win. took me until actually trying to play it that i realized i'd often just get 5 left arms which obviously wouldn't work #so i took that deck and added some actual monsters to “hold me off”. it was pretty much just a normal deck with too much space taken up by #essentially useless cards. i don't think i ever actually won by drawing exodia naturally. what a shame #side note but i still get a bit anxious every time i go to that target. i haven't in years and i can basically guarantee they wouldn't #recognize Grown Ass Adult me as “that kid who stole a lot of yugioh cards”. it's been almost a decade if memory serves #i've grown a lot since then. both physically and metaphorically #i digress

Ahh cryinggg thank you for asking 🥺💙 yeah I can imagine how my string of posts about trauma might be concerning 😅 tbh I have my fair share of trauma but currently I'm on the road to healing from them and working hard at it! And when I stumbled upon that blog it said a lot of stuff that I def needed to hear when I was younger and that it took a long time to learn. And honestly I could still use some reminders about so I thought I'd share for everyone suffering from trauma as well 💙 and thank you so much for asking that really means a lot especially since I haven't really had much communication with mutuals that I only know through Tumblr 😊
