what are ibis’s/010’s powers?

Ibis’s powers are relatively standard and similar to El, Kali, and Henry. Telekinesis and psychic abilities and whatnot. Her main difference from them however is her gift (although she’d insist it’s a curse) of premonition. She’s able to see the future.

Well more so she’s able to see multiple futures. All depending on context, situation, and people involved. She’s always struggled more to determine the precise future instead of possibilities. The main part of her training at the Laboratory came from Brenner trying to get her to settle on one outcome.

The multitude of possibilities does have its advantages however! As she’s able to predict the best possible outcome, such as how to keep her loved ones from getting hurt. Which they all have a tendency to do. A lot. She and Shep & Wolfgang actually first met when the boys were being tailed by the cops for shoplifting and Ibis determined the best escape route for them. They’ve been inseparable ever since.

Ibis honestly hates her ability to read the future though. Specifically when it doesn’t show her what she feels it should have. The main incident being the Hawkins Lab Massacre. She has a large deal of survivors guilt as she wasn’t able to alert anyone to Henry’s intentions. She didn’t even suspect anything was wrong until she and Brenner were testing and she witnessed Six’s death. She wasn’t able to do anything, she survived but all but one of her little siblings didn’t. She should be dead but she’s not and she hates herself for it.

She also hates when even when her abilities do work, they give her little free will. When she planned her escape shortly after the massacre, she’d initially intended to bring El with her. However, she could find no angle in which she and El both left the lab that wouldn’t end with one of them dead. So she left her little sister behind with a heavy heart.
