Just remembered that Professor Agasa is Jii's inventor friend who helps with Kid's gadgets so Shinichi and Kaito have another connection. It would be hilarious if Shiho/Ai figured it out first because of this, I think Kaito would get along great with her and the Professor.

I've thought about this before.

Jii is a close friend of Agasa, I don't doubt that maybe Agasa even knows that Jii works for KID but chooses to ignore it.

However, we all know how much he cares about Ai, I imagine that at some point they had a conversation about that along the lines of:

"We've been friends for a long time, I know you're a good person, but I also know that you work for KID."

Jii doesn't look at him, he just takes a sip of his drink. They never talk about it, it's a not-so-secret secret between them, Jii always hinted at it, but Agasa never seemed to care. He doesn't think he's going to turn them in, so he waits for him to continue.

"I have a daughter, not biological obviously, she's suffered a lot, bad, very bad people are after her, I'm afraid I won't be able to protect her."

"Do you want him to investigate them?"

"No, it's very dangerous, and I wouldn't put a friend's family in danger for mine, just… if one day that girl comes here without me, do you think they can hide her? She's my family, and I know she'll be perfectly hidden with someone as skilled with disguises as KID."

"Knowing my master, I don't think he'll reject you, and I won't either, however, I'm sure he'll want to meet her."

"I think it would be good to make proper introductions, I want her to know where to go if she needs it." It makes a lot of sense to me that Agasa would want to hide Ai away if things went too bad, and what better place to hide than with someone he has no "relationship" with?

I can see Jii explaining the situation to Kaito, and being the kind person he is, agreeing to help them out. And he's also thrilled at the idea of meeting the inventor of his gadgets! Kaito has so many questions! He might even ask him for suggestions for his card gun and his opinion on it.

In Ai's case, I feel like Agasa makes her a hot drink and they sit alone talking in the middle of the night when Conan isn't around and the kids are in their own homes.

"Why did you need to talk to me alone?"

"I want to introduce you to my bartender friend and his grandson."

"Just me? Why?"

Agasa takes Ai's hands, more to comfort himself than her.

"I may not say it as often as I should, but you are important to me, we don't know what will happen to the organization in the future, so if things get bad enough that I can't stay by your side, I want you to have somewhere to go, I don't want you to be alone again and I'm worried about your safety."

Haibara would stay silent, what Agasa says makes a lot of sense, but she has a lot of thoughts in her head. A part of her feels touched, she never thought she could have a family again, and on the other hand she is worried about the uncertain future that awaits them.

For now, all she can do is give him a hug, he's not a person who usually shows affection, but with the two of them being the only ones there, she gives herself the opportunity to do so.

"Wouldn't it be dangerous for them if that were to happen?"

"My friend's grandson is very good at disguises, I hope that with him they would never be able to find you, and also that almost no one knows my connection with them, it makes it the perfect place to hide."

"You thought a lot about it."

"I want you to be safe."

Kaito immediately recognizes Haibara, and also Agasa, they are friends of Conan.

The first thing Agasa says in this situation is that Ai must not tell Shinichi about this unless this situation becomes too dangerous.

Haibara did not think that the professor's friend would work with KID, nor that the latter would use the professor's inventions, she thinks it is very funny.

While Agasa and Jii talk, Haibara and KID get to know each other.

KID: I'm surprised that you chose to stay, I thought you would leave as soon as you found out who I am.

Haibara: You don't care about my secret, so I don't care about yours.

KID: Don't you think I'm suspicious? That my assistant and I are?

Haibara: You can't expect me to trust you right away, but Professor Agasa does, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but don't expect mercy from me if you end up getting involved in a robbery just because you use his inventions.

KID: Interesting. I like you.

Haibara: I just threatened you, you have weird tastes.

KID: I like people who try to kill me, they make life more fun.

Haibara: You're strange.

KID: Well, trust is something that is built. Here's my number.

Haibara: Is it real?

KID: No, but if we're going to make friends, we need to start somewhere right?

Haibara: I didn't say I wanted to be your friend.

KID: But you said you don't trust me, and from what the brilliant and charming professor said, if you ever find yourself in a situation where you can't go home, you have to find us, so… Why not become friends? I think that way you wouldn't feel awkward and distrustful if that possibility ever came up.

And that's how these two become text friends.

Since Kaito and Haibara have programming skills, I like to think that they design their own app to talk to. I like the headcanon that Kaito has knowledge in chemistry and creates his own smoke bombs, so he asks Haibara for a lot of advice.

She has him listed as "Unpaid Intern" and Kaito as "Labor Slave."

Conan is incredibly curious about her strange online friend, he makes Haibara laugh, she seems happier, he needs to know who can make her laugh out loud with a single message.

However, every time he tries to access the strange app it asks for a password, and he has no idea what it is.

She'd be surprised if she knew it was 1412, and yes, Kaito's is 4869.

Kaito asks her about the antidote, since he's seen Shinichi use it, she tells him that "unlike that reckless fool, he only uses it in serious emergencies", she shyly tells him that she would have liked to go on a date with her, but understands the gravity of her situation, so she apologizes for thinking something stupid.

Haibara tells Kaito about the kids, how dumb Shinichi is, Agasa, the new music she's listening to, the series she watched.

Kaito about his day at school, magic tricks, mentions the Nakamoris, complains about Hakuba and Akako, and asks if it would be too much to use pink glitter for their upcoming heist. I would really like to read a fic (or make it myself, since I'm at it) with their online friends, and if it comes to the point that Ai has to become Shiho once again, Kaito can take her out for a good time for a change.

Our prsk appearance headcanons that no one asked but

(btw by tan we mean: darker skin tone we didnt think of one specific to most of them)

Ichika: skinny/girl twink, her arms hurt when she carries her guitar her full day. Girl loser /affectionate, also taller than canon. Her hair is straight but thick.

Saki: chubby (she deserves after the hospital time), very visible freckles on her whole body, though she tends to hide it with makeup, and her face is round and with chubby cheeks even while sick. Canon size. Wavy but thin hair which sucks to take care of.

Honami: fat, and strong. More on the tan side, taller than canon, slightly wavy hair

Shiho: average id say? Some light freckles, gets confused with a twink a lot but she's just a lesbian, shorter than canon for funsies, straight hair, very light freckles on her cheeks.

Minori: she's more legs than human, like a fucking deer. /Hj. Gets stronger/chubbier as mmj goes on because she needs to adapt her diet for the amount of energy she's releasing, tan, shes average size, id say canon is good for her, thin and straight hair

Haruka: . Thin for . Canon reasons. However she has some muscles. Pale id say? Also canon height, thick and straight hair.

Airi: muscular, not too chubby for idol reasons otherwise she would be, tan too, slightly bit shorter, thick curly hair.

Shizuku: she looks like a swan and I can't explain it. Thats all, taller than every girl and Tsukasa, slightly wavy but thin hair. Very light freckles on her nose.

Kohane: chubby-ish. Round face, looks like a hamster, same height as canon, straight-ish hair

An: very Lean, not very muscular but athletic like that tiktok archery twink (also random but has done pole dance+street dance classes), tan, she's really fast and eats a lot without gaining weight, which she complains about, also taller than canon, thick and straight hair.

Akito: a little muscular, especially his legs, tan, lots of freckles on his face and shoulders, bit shorter than canon, freckled, thick hair thats slightly wavy.

Toya: twink and pale, his fingers are pianist long and he's very elastic and stretchy somehow. Taller than canon, veery straight and thin hair.

Tsukasa: he looks like a twink but somehow has muscles, tan, his freckles are very visible because of the sun but they're only around the cheeks, wavy hair like Saki.

Emu: chubby/fat, stronger than she looks, same height as canon, straight hair.

Nene: girl twink once again, pale because she does not know what sun is, thin ass hair.

Rui: twink, and also looks like a square, he's taller thsn canon (shorter than rui) but slouches a lot, his hair changes on the day tbh, and its a bit longer than canon.

Kanade: extremely thin but after eating nofmally again she goes to average id say? Chubby cheeks though, extremely pale anyways, canon height and straight hair thats thin and frail but it gets better as niigo teaches her how to take care of it. Mizuki also cuts her hair to shoulder height

Mafuyu: muscular, taller than canon (taller than mizuki, tanner than canon too, thick wavy hair, Mizuki also cut his hair.

Ena: chubby, same height as canon and tan, her freckles are only around the nose and cheeks but they're very visible, not as much ws Akito or the Tenmas tho, letting her hair grow and its slightly wavy but she tends to make it straight because she claims its easier, she's also a ginger but dyes her hair

Mizuki: lean, but not as much of a twink as the others, also her legs look long too, grows a bit more than canon, straight hair who tends to try and give it a bit more waves to it.

Last Deck! Makoto Niijima - The Emperor, Codename: Chancellor Student Council President of Shujin Academy, Makoto is a very vigilant and forward student—perfect, if a little too stern at times. She looks up to her sister greatly, constantly shadowing her and aiming to follow in her footsteps 1:1. Makoto had been investigating Kamoshida privately before the Phantom Thieves got involved, having suspicions yet no one would fess up about Kamoshidas brutality. When the police interrogate the school to gather evidence of Kamoshida's crimes, Makoto has plenty of evidence to give. She initially believes the Phantom Thieves are students at Shujin, yet reviewing events that happened regarding Kamoshida, she finds Ann leaving Shujin, followed by Shiho, investigating worthy, and sets out to Kosei for interrogation. The closer she gets to the truth, the colder she gets, having no care for being kind to Kamoshida's supposed victims. It's thanks to Makoto's constant prodding and stalking that when checking their apparent Phan site, they recognize the last name of a rampant Prosecutor with an unchallenged win rate. Makoto ends up following them into the metaverse, after discussion declaring she'll watch them to determine if her sister is truly corrupt as they suggest.

Chancellor doesn't awaken to her persona, admittedly, at the start of Sae's palace. It takes a trip exploration and several in-person confrontations with her sister to finally come to her senses. So obsessed with becoming like her sister, that she's failed to see beyond a black-and-white lens. No longer shall she let the idea of justice blind her from the corruption in systematic justice; she'll determine her own justice with her own two eyes. Makoto's has shown moments of her capable kindness prior to achieving a persona, which simply awakens her to see it. She's a valuable physical, ice user. She gives a wicked curb stomp with her mallet and a chilling finish with her persona Themis. Very good at assisting with shadow negotiation and real-world investigation. A competent stagiest as well. Her confidant with Ann is assisting Makoto with self-discovery as she has realized she's structured so much of herself as her sister, shes lost sight of herself. The confidant also includes assisting Makoto with student council duties, connecting with Shujin students, and increasing Ann's knowledge.

While reading the chapter, it's easy to go with the flow and see this as Conan urging the disabled lady to be moved swiftly to safety, but knowing that the one holding onto the wheelchair there is actually Kid, and he's asked for a favour.

It then becomes clear that the "Hurry!" is less "get out of the fire!" and more "We're on a tight schedule, move it or someone's gonna die!"

This is further hinted at when neither the old lady nor her assistant are seen near the front of the car some panels on:

I also went in knowing (remembering) that Kid would turn out to have been disguised as Shiho this time, but for some reason thought that Shinichi had (somehow) contacted the thief before entering the train.

He, as shown above, didn't.

I can only imagine the urgency he felt, because the plan is... delicate, let's say. Remove one piece from the board on their side, and everything falls apart. There's already too many wild cards. Shinichi HAS to have Kid on board, or they lose.

He likely knew way in advance by looking things up about the train, and Jirokichi, that Kid would be targeting that location, at that time. That they'd cross paths.

He knew that he had to figure out which passenger was Kid, hoping that he hadn't miscalculated, and convince him to play along with something that - even from the start, with how he says "shake off the bad guys going after her" - is dangerous.

Here he is as they're disembarking, talking on the phone to Kaito, likely in a way that's specifically easy to mis-hear as a normal conversation.

Shinichi may have known for a fact that things would become that dire, but at the same time - he quite possibly didn't know how many twists there'd be. He did know, at least, that his mother would be holding up Vermouth, which would take one card out of play and ensure Kid couldn't be tag-teamed by both Vermouth and Bourbon.

I'd even go as far as to suggest that the Shiho disguise was created by Yukiko, and given to him by Conan, as it's highly unlikely that he'd have been able to create it in that short frame of time.

He even warns Kaito here - "They'll probably try to corner her in the storage, where they've got some explosives, so be careful."

So like... as much as I've seen (and probably, at the time, felt myself) that it's an uneven debt... I'd go as far as to say this case emphasises how much Shinichi TRUSTS Kaitou Kid, and also how much he believes in Kid's abilities!

For one thing, Kaito now knows enough about not just Shinichi (he mentioned his mother at the previous heist) but also Haibara:

Do note that she's telling him exactly what to say here, via an ear piece. We don't see a voice changer on the phone she's implied to use earlier on, so it's equally likely he heard Shiho's voice (possible, since he'd need a frame of reference) or Haibara's voice (if he knows she's the child form of the lady he's impersonating, he'd simply age that voice up).

As for Shinichi trusting in Kaitou Kid's abilities?

Well, for that we just have to look back on the past several heists!

Especially the one for the Kirin's Horn, I'd say, since...

Kaito himself was the one to brag about how "I've shown that... nothing's impossible for this Kaitou Kid!" - something that is quickly followed up by Conan sticking an identifier to Kid's back and Kid STILL not being caught.

So Kaito proved that he is capable of disguising as literally anyone, no matter how unlikely or how little he has to go by, and that he's capable of not being caught even with a handicap.

No wonder Shinichi was desperate to have Kaito's help, as he trusted that someone like this, who had a sense of justice (see: Magic Lovers Murder Case, the Samizu Mansion Murder Case, the Four Masterpieces, Iron Tanuki, and Ryoma's gunbelt) would listen and help.

Toya:

Toya would definitely help you out whenever he could, but he only helps when you ask

He never wants to make you feel like you're incapable of doing things, so he usually stands off to the side unless you ask for him

His favorite thing to do is read to you, and he likes to give you the book so you can follow along however you want

Overall, he's always very attentive towards you, and makes sure you know he doesn't think any different of you <3

Shiho:

Shiho is very conscious of how she acts around you, she would hate to do or say anything that would make you upset

She's very cautious about your boundaries, only stepping in if you ask her for anything. She's relieved you're comfortable asking her for things

She really likes to take you out to places like petting zoos, where you both just hang out and pet fluffy animals

Overall, she's very caring with you, although she will try to deny it despite it being very obvious to people <3

Tsukasa:

If I'm being honest, Tsukasa is loud enough to lead anyone towards him, so I wouldn't be surprised if he shouts to get your attention

He's always very eager to help you out, but he knows when to step back and let you do your thing

He really loves to go through play scripts with you, always describing scenes as vividly as he can

Overall, he's just his normal self, and is always very aware of anything you might need <3

SHIHOSAKI AU LIGHTNING ROUND!!! As you can see, some ideas were more compelling than others....

Added an under the cut so tou don't have to scroll too long ,:3

Shiho is like. A hitchhiker? A traveler? She basically goes around the country to different places and she never stays for long. saki is the cute girl she meets at a diner in the middle of a city she's visiting! She was only planning on staying there for a little while, but for saki, she could always stay longer....

Eventually (I don't know how don't ask) saki decides to join shiho on her journey (and turns into her peaky peaky card) :3

Saki is a budding scientist who works for a morally dubious leaning bad laboratory. One day they bring in a new subject, this big furry monster beast thingy that's clawing at its enclosure in distress and aggression, and saki feels bad for the poor thing, it must be really scared...

The other scientists are huge jerks that end up assigning saki to dealing with it (btw every person that has taken care of it has been injured in some way), but it actually goes quite well! It was just stressed out and anxious and all it needed was a little kindness :3 it's still anxious, but not as aggressive which is great!

Saki keeps taking care of the bast until it finally starts calming down around her, and they become closer. For a bit saki basically treated it like a precious pet, but it didn't seem to appreciate that ...

In fact, Saki starts noticing strange things about the beast, like how it has specific tastes in things animals usually wouldn't worry about, or how it seems like it's actually understanding what saki was saying, how it seems almost... human with its behaviors a lot of the time.

Which leads to a confrontation. One day, Saki asks it if it's really a monster, if it's understood her this entire time, and it suddenly gets incredibly aggressive, growling at her, and looming over her threatening lying, trying to scare her off, possibly? But saki stands her ground and the monster backs off wit a very human sigh.

And then it shifts. It grows smaller and more humanoid until a (not exactly) perfect human is sitting in front of her. It explains herself to be shiho, a werecreature who was kidnapped by saki's laboratory. Saki is. Well. A number of things.

Embarassed that she treated a person with thoughts and emotions like a pet, extreme attraction to said person, shame of said attraction, and most importantly absolute fury that tye lab would do this.

So furious that she almost storms out of the enclosure to give those scientists a piece of her mind, until shiho stops her. It reasons that doing that won't help and will only make the situation worse, but saki is adamant that she at least tries to talk to them about it. Shiho complies, and the next day, Saki "calmly" asks about more information on shiho's specific species. Maybe they didn't know it was a werecreature, maybe this was a misunderstanding and shiho will be released!

It was not a misunderstanding. They knew she was a werecreature. They kidnapped her anyway to do research on her since her specific species has such little known information about her. Saki, well... saki snaps I think

She loves her job but it's exhausting and her coworkers are shitheads who underestimate her at every turn, she witnesses the less than caring treatment of the other creatures that reside here, and now she's finding put that they willingly kidnapped a sentient being for the sake of research? Get that shit outta here

Okay this is long enough so lets wrap this up. she basically consensually kidnaps shiho and skips town to save her, leaving behind her job.her apartment and anything age couldn't fit in her booking for when they left. She also ends up taking a few extra friends along for the ride wink wink (honami). At one point they kiss. As you can see the romance was not the most important part mb...

Introverted mermaid meets adventurous girl with a penchant for the unusual. Their first meeting was definitely an accident, shiho got caught by saki while she was sunbathing or just wanted to come up to the surface for a bit. Shiho was startled by saki's sudden greeting and went back into the water immediately (ad probably didn't come back out for a few days). But saki is anything but a quitter, so she keeps coming back and looking for shiho when she has the chance, while shiho keeps trying to avoid her.

But like. At one point she just ends up doing it to do it. Saki's not malicious in anyway. She just comes over there and talks to the water for a little before going back home. She's never brought anyone over to try and see her, she's never tried to take photos or evidence, hell at this point shiho is intrigues by the girl and wants to speak to her properly, so shiho truky has no reason to continue this thing they have going on.

But shiho is very stubborn, so she decides that she won't just come out and show herself that easily, but when saki finally catches her, she'll emerge and actually meet her formally. In the meantime, she offers saki a pretty shell bracelet, as a sign of amicability or something.

Eventually it turns into a little game between them. Saki tries to catch shiho and yet everytime, she just misses her. Sometimes shiho is feeling mischievous and let's her have a glimpse before diving into the water again. Saki probably thinks it's a lot of fun, if not a little frustrating because she wants to talk to her so badly.

And then one day it happens. Saki is late to her usual visit and shiho is sitting there sullenly waiting for her, embarassed of her dissapointment by saki's absence, why is she even waiting here anyway-?

Saki gently grabs her shoulders from behind. Shiho shrieks and almost dives back into the water out of pure panic, but saki's hand stop her, and she stays. They have their first formal meeting... what will happen next you say? Well that's for you to (maybe) find out ;3

Cam I say it can I say it. Goth girl x pastel sporty girl... omg.... poprocks shihosaki... (only one person will understand what I mean by that lmao).

Anyway saki and shiho are very much Girlfriends <3 shiho comes up to saki's desk with a basketball in one hand and a black rose in the other shyly asking her if she wants to go to the movies and saki then proceeds to tackle her to the ground and smother her with kisses. (Saki is still very much saki here yk)

Theyre so yuriful I want to draw them...

Composer wives <3 saki is a stay at home video game Composer (like 8 bit chiptune all that shit) while shiho is a Composer for a classical choir. They collaborate a lot on songs saki forces (bribes) shiho into collabing with her on, and composing is actually probably how they first met. Hmm...

Saki LOOOVES her amazing classical Composer wife and regularly shouts her out on her channel (shiho is incredibly flustered by this) but shiho will also never fail to (vaguely) mention her wife who helped her create the music.... saki is very hapoy by this :3

Saki also begs shiho to make samples for her all the time which shiho grumbles about but does anyway because she's a dy-

I have an au concept but no idea where to take it after. Like, an idea and a starting plot, but no idea for how it would resolve

It's got a bit of angst, some moderate body horror, and of course, themes of self discovery and queerness in there cause it's me

The idea? The thieves have all been part of a program where they've been in a facility and taking part in tests for years since they all showed potential, in the Persona way

They could leave for four days a month with permission, and had their own rooms they decorated, and were taken care of by Wakaba and Sojiro, with Tae Takemi on the med team

The program was about studying how having control of their persona affected them compared to those without the potential, and if there were ways to use that knowledge to impact society positively. The government promised each child in the program that once it was done, they'd be supported for life. School? Free. Expenses covered, for sacrificing their youth. Their parents or guardians also got a little bonus

Some had been there for years. Akira has been 2, Goro arrived at 4, Futaba 3, and Makoto 7. The last ones to join were Kasumi and Sumire at 11, and Haru, 13. They all get close over the years, and their rooms are covered in photos and stuff from their little excursions to malls or museums when allowed

The experiments were rarely painful. Mostly brain scans and other weird psience stuff. Then, they got word they were finally wrapping up with their group. Two others had ended recently, and them, Facility 5, were finally getting their final round of tests before being let free

Now, the range from 19 to 16. They're all so excited to be able to leave. Their lives are waiting for them, their families, their futures

So if course shit hits the fan. Someone messed with the tests, and a huge accident occurred. Instead of allowing them to see into the shadow world beyond, the two worlds were crushed together in the lab, for an hour. The lab techs' own shadows raged forth, some dying. Sojiro and Wakaba struggled to shut the power off, all the while the group of teens, well

Their bodies are forcefully fused with their personas. Changed, in painful ways. One of them didn't make it, and one of them, due to the violent nature of the second persona that had lurked behind his main one, lost control and wrecked part of the facility

The government decided to evacuate everyone besides the subjects, and sealed the facility for good. Sojiro, a weak Wakaba, and Tae fight them on it, and are trying now to get back in

They werent told the gov poured some kind of gas in there before sealing the place. So, the remaining subjects all wake up, forever changed, without a memory in their heads

So, that leads us to the main plot I have. Remembering through photos, and slowly, as the effects of the gas leave them, memories resurfacing, and regaining themselves

They'd all have the golden shadow eyes. They have their persona's abilities, and some physical changes to resemble their persona

The one that died in the accident was Kasumi, and Goro lost control. He's not with them when they all wake up in their old living area.

Akira and Goro were going to go to uni together, share an apartment. Ann was going to live with Shiho. Ryuji was excited to take his ma on a vacation, and Yusuke was going to travel for art inspiration

They became painfully obvious.

The bandages. The plasters. The cuts. The bruises.

Even wearing that cream turtleneck hardly helped, because anyone who took so much as a second look could immediately tell. Yuuki Mishima didn't live happily. He didn't live freely. He lived under someone else's thumb.

And that thumb was steadily pressing down upon you as well...

Kamoshida must have thought he was the king, because he sure acted like one. Treating others how he pleased and taking what he wanted, while still maintaining a clever facade that made it seem like he was a noble, friendly guy.

You hated him. You knew what he was really like. What he did to the students who were too scared to speak up.

The males got beaten. You knew that much because of the state poor Mishima was in.

The girls got hounded. You knew that because of...Shiho.

Ann always visited her at the hospital, so at least she had that much comfort. Still...it was little condolence after what she had been through. You truly despised Kamoshida...and eventually you grew tired of seeing Mishima suffering on his own. Forced to endure in silence, terrified to the point where he wouldn't say a word about it. Others did ask, some did question, but he would always force a shaky smile and laugh it off with a “what are you talking about” sort of statement.

So you got yourself involved. Joined the volleyball team, even knowing who the coach was.

It took some time and cautiousness on your part, but eventually you witnessed something that proved what kind of man Kamoshida really was.

He kept Mishima back for 'practice' one day, and you wisely lingered around, suspicious of what he truly intended. You watched through a crack in the gym door, and witnessed it all. Kamoshida must have pounded that rubber volleyball against Mishima's face so many times it could have broken his nose.

You nearly intervened, but fear and apprehension seized both your arms, holding you back from opening that door.

And you resented yourself for it ever since.

Mishima didn't even know that you knew, so your invitation to get some ice cream together must have just seemed like a nice gesture. Really it was a subtle way for you to ask forgiveness. You wanted to bring him even a little joy, and it was on you.

He showed up late but you hardly cared. It was a sunny enough day so you waited outside the parlour for him, scanning the various options displayed on the banner outside. They were all so colourful and carefully crafted that they looked a little too good to eat.

“Ah, [Y/N]!”

A gentle voice called and you looked over, immediately breaking out in a warm smile when you saw Mishima approaching. He was jogging lightly your way, but stumbled the moment he reached you and quickly caught himself against the pole holding the banner up, knocking it a bit. “Whoops-!”

“Careful there.” you urged and reached out to steady his arm. You were shocked when you felt a flinch as soon as your fingers graced him, and instinctively jerked your hand back.

Mishima gave you a sheepish look.

“I...I'm sorry. I guess I didn't get enough sleep last night...”

He's still trying to hide it.

“Well, that's alright.” you shrugged it off and opened the door so you could both go inside. “After you.”

Really, you only ever had more confidence when you were around Mishima. He was far shyer than yourself so it helped, but put you in a room with Kamoshida and you'd be just as much of a quivering mess. You'd come to realize that as big of a hero as you wanted to be, you didn't have the courage to confront the man. Someone had to stop him though.

Someone...

As you sat down with Yuuki and thanked a passing waitress for the menus she handed you both, you opened yours up but peered over the top of it at him. He was busy studying his own copy so he didn't notice you looking.

You saw them. He was wearing another shirt with a high collar, always prepared. But it had slipped down and bunched up a bit around his neck, revealing an indigo welt on the side of it.

You could have crushed the menu in your hands. It sickened you. This boy was too kindly to deserve treatment like this. Did he really mess up so badly and so consistently that he deserved to get beaten like that?

No, of course not. The only reason he took so much damage was because Kamoshida enjoyed it. Mishima was a toy to him. Eventually he'd end up breaking him, just like he did with Shiho...

“...I'm...really not sure what to order...” Mishima admitted, actually looking embarrassed about it to some extent. Of course he didn't need to be, but you decided to help out by setting your own menu down and pointing to an icy looking vanilla and blueberry sundae.

“I'm thinking the 'Jack Frost', maybe you could have the same? Or if we get a big one we could share?”

That kind of came out without real intention. You were treating Mishima as a best friend, forgetting that he was still a guy. Though even a girl might feel shy about this sort of thing too. Regardless, he went totally pink in the cheeks.

“U-um...I mean if you want to share we can but...”

Ah...that would look a bit...

“No, we can just get separate ones!”

You saved the awkwardness, just. Mishima visibly squirmed in his seat a bit, almost as if he really did want to take you up on your original offer, but any chance passed as soon as you placed your order. He silently cursed his own relentless shyness. It only seemed to grow tenfold when he was around you, which was painful considering you were one of the few true friends he had. It left him paranoid, worrying that he'd slip up and send you running away.

Yet you didn't feel that way about him at all. If anything, you could kind of relate to what he was feeling. But those things went unsaid.

A lot of things went unsaid.

As you started eating you hoped that maybe Mishima would relax a bit and open up to you about what was going on. You had yourself convinced that your own hesitations would bleed away if he personally asked you for help. You'd feel so compelled to save him that you'd stop being scared, surely.

Perhaps that was just a fool's hope though. The conversations you had were as bland as this vanilla, deliberately skirting around anything potentially heavy. So desperately you wanted to question those newly applied plasters doubled up on his cheeks, even if you suspected you'd get an answer like “a cat scratched me”, but you only ended up discussing the weather, the current schoolwork you had, and other mindless things.

However...although at first you feared this wasn't helping Mishima at all, you began to notice something. His posture, steadily relaxing. A little bit of a smile coming to light on his lips. A calmness settling in those typically startled and weary eyes. The more you chatted about your favorite movies and books, the happier he seemed to become, until eventually you noticed an enthusiasm that surprised you.

“I really didn't expect the twist at the end! Who would have thought the murderer was a police detective the whole time?”

Mishima spoke eagerly now, on a roll. You sat back a little with surprise but just smiled wider, listening intently to every word he said. This was what you had been hoping for, yearning for. To see him actually experiencing some sort of joy...

“Hey Mishima, do you mind if I come sit next to you?” you requested suddenly, and he actually agreed to it, albeit with a scarlet flush building on his cheeks again.

“S-sure thing...”

“Thanks. It'll just make it easier for us to talk to each other.”

But really, it would make it a lot easier to bring up the topic of those marks without letting other people overhear. The place wasn't super busy but it didn't hurt to be cautious.

Sitting down on his side of the booth, you immediately felt the slight warmth emanating from his person, the delicate smell of shampoo that lingered on his body. Yet you also noticed those little quivers he had been trying to hide, and of course...those damn...

“...Bruises...”

You murmured the word, but watched him go still as stone as soon as you said it. Mishima slowly turned his head and looked at you with wide eyes. Clearing your throat, you reached for your half finished ice cream and slid it over, poking away at the chocolate base in the bottom of the glass with your long spoon.

“I know you probably don't want to talk about them...but I can't ignore them any longer, Mishima-” you turned your head and looked him straight in those nervously stricken eyes.

“Please tell me the truth. Kamoshida has been...hurting you too, hasn't he?”

Typically Mishima would have brushed it off and come up with some excuse, just like he did when anyone else asked. Yet something about your question was totally different. It made his blood run cold when he heard it.

'Too'?

“[Y/N]...d-did you...did he...?”

“Hurt me as well? I guess I phrased that badly...” you sighed and swirled your spoon around, listening to the subtle sound it made, the glass ringing like a distant bell. “He hasn't laid a hand on me yet, but whenever he looks at me...I know he wants to do something.”

Mishima swallowed thickly. His eyes focussed on your form. Your pretty face and body, the gentle way you carried yourself. How pure and sweet you were, how kind as to give him the time of day and actually bother to spend time with him like this. The thought of Kamoshida doing anything to you...that changed the whole ball game, so to speak.

His nails dug a little in the edge of the table, and he looked down with teeth grit behind his lips. Yet they parted when he spoke lowly:

“I-if he does anything to you...tell me...”

“Mishima...” you looked over sadly at the dark blue haired boy, straightening up and setting your spoon down. Your hand came out and gently touched his arm. “Don't worry about me, you're the one who needs help here. I can see what he does to you. I know you try to hide it, I know you try to make excuses, but I've seen the truth for myself.”

And so you told him about the time you saw him being beaten up. And you watched as he looked at you, his heart clearly heavy. It must have been such a burden for him to keep it a secret. Yet even though you knew now...it didn't actually feel so bad.

In fact, he almost felt relieved.

You looked at him so kindly he could have cried. When your hand reached down and took his own upon his lap, he didn't hesitate much before squeezing yours in return. Your touch was as gentle as your manner, and he realized something so clearly then.

He needn't have worried at all.

You wanted to know about what he was dealing with. You wanted to help.

“I should have done something earlier, and I'm sorry. I was too nervous then, I was scared...” you confessed, and lifted his hand up just so your other could wrap around his knuckle. You were doing this under the table so people had no reason to stare. “...But I want to do something about it. I want to stop him, so he won't hurt you or me, or Shiho, or anyone else again.”

Mishima wanted that too, he really did. And though he was just as worried about what might happen, your own summoned determination gave him a little bit of hope too.

“...Then...let's work hard to stop him together.”

Neither of you knew how you'd do it, but you nodded in response, and so too did he.

He also happened to notice something then, while you were looking at him. Something not nearly quite so serious, but still something that ought to be amended, and could be. This would be his first act of confidence. His favour to you...

You flinched a little, having gone off in thought after letting go of his hand, and suddenly feeling something touch your cheek just by the corner of your mouth. Mishima wiped away the fleck of ice cream with his thumb and brought his hand back to himself. You watched him stare at the remnant of dessert on his digit with eyes crossed and focused, figuring he'd just wipe it off somewhere, only to watch in shock as he cleaned it off his hand with a simple lick.

His touch alone had left you red but this left you flustered and spluttering. “M-Mishima-!!”

“Ah!” Immediately he was just as rose and bowing his head repeatedly, clasping his hands together. “A-ah I'm sorry, that was weird of me! I'm super sorry!”

Well, as 'super sorry' as he was, the problem wasn't that it had been weird. If anything it had been just what a...boyfriend might do. Could you imagine Mishima being your boyfriend? The thought left your heart positively pounding and you had to look away from his equally fumbling self.

Yet there was no hiding the smile on your lips, as you pondered a hopeful possibility.

Perhaps he was a lot more confident than you thought...

Perhaps this alliance of yours would lead to something more...

୨୧ I love an insomniac baby! I think when Airi is trying to sleep at night she’ll either get a lot of energy, we love a hyper baby! Or I think she’d start thinking negatively about herself (｡•́︿•̀｡) Poor baby tries as hard as she can to sleep… But she just can’t! ૮₍ ˶>⤙<˶ ₎ა It can be really frustrating… But luckily Shizuku is always there to help calm her down!

✮ When it comes time to go to sleep and Airi is hyper… Shizuku had better get ready for a chaotic night! Airi wants to play! Airi won’t sit still at all. Constantly bouncing around, babbling in an attempt to sing songs, lots of twirls and jumps! Doesn’t wanna sit still to watch anything or cuddle… She just wants to play! Poor Shizuku tries getting her to lay down but the baby just won’t listen!

୨୧ When Airi is super hyper the best thing Shizuku can do is play with her! Encourage the little one to keep on bouncing around burning energy! She’s gonna tire out eventually, and that’s the best case scenario. If Shizuku notices the baby slowing down, she doesn’t let her! All remaining energy must be burnt! She’ll keep encouraging Airi to show her new dance moves! Eventually Airi starts getting whiny. Her body feels so heavy! So do her eyes… That’s when it’s time for Shizuku to scoop her up and take her to bed for cuddles!

✮ However sad nights are much harder to deal with… The poor little baby gets so overwhelmed with the thoughts that she’s having. And she can never explain it to Shizuku! Words are much too complicated for the poor little baby. She feels so bad that Shizuku is staying up just for her… It’s like she’s ruining Shizuku’s sleep schedule! Shizuku deserves so much better… And no matter how tired she is or how hard she tries, she just can’t fall asleep! She just keeps on thinking!

୨୧ Shizuku feels bad that there’s not much she can do, but of course she does what she can! She’ll remind Airi what a perfect adorable baby she is, how much she loves getting to take care of Airi, she tries to vanquish all of the little ones usual worries! Then it’s onto distractions! Try and turn that tiny worrying brain off!

✮ Shizuku will hand Airi a picture book and ask her to read the story! This keeps Airi’s brain occupied on the book instead of her thoughts! Shizuku will make her a nice warm bottle of milk while she listens to the babies babbling. Once the milk is ready it’s up to bed! They’ll lay down and Shizuku will start singing a gentle lullaby, encouraging Airi to tap along to the slow gentle rhythm

୨୧ Shizuku will stay up as long as it takes! She wants to make sure her baby gets the rest that she needs, and doesn’t get bored staying up all alone of course! Sometimes Airi gets very incredibly pouty because she feels like Shizuku isn’t taking care of herself enough! But Shizuku reassures her of course! After all they have all the time in the world

✮ Pet names time! I think Shizuku would use nicknames that sound very gentle and delicate, always makes little Airi feel so special! Pet names like “Beautiful” “Darling” and “My Baby” Airi is a sassy baby! She’ll always try saying Shizuku’s name is a sing-songy teasing voice, but names are hard… So Shizuku is usually shortened to “Zuku” (Airi tried calling her “Shi” but it reminded Shizuku to much of Shiho and then she’d just be thinking of Shiho and… Airi gets jealous very quickly. She wants all of her caregivers attention!)

Quality Time and Gift Giving are her love languages. I think the more she cares about you the more she wants to be around you. After all, we see her spend a lot of time with Shiho and Joker. And if you just so happen

If you two were together before Kamoshida's change of heart, you and Shiho were her supports. You stayed with her despite the rumors, and the Phantom Thieves absolutely gave you the shovel talk after they changed Kamoshida's heart.

I Think Ann would have Stern Boundaries. Especially after Kamoshida. She would not let you push them. She would also respect yours.

She is far from weak, she can fight her own battles. But if she see's you getting protective after she was cat called... Well just don't hurt 'em too bad, okay babe?

Has dragged you to photoshoots for moral support, will do it again.

Makoto Nijima:

The Queen (hehe) Of Study Dates. She wants you to be ready, and at the very best you can be. Can you fault her?

Words of Affirmation and Acts of service. Tied into her own Trauma. She hates feeling useless, she doesn't want that for you either.

I highly doubt you two were dating before the Phantom Thieves changed Kaneshiro's heart. She was too busy and obsessive with her task at the time, and she was trying to prove herself to be useful.

She has her boundaries, and she will not hesitate to enforce them. She will also encourage you to do the same.

She very much has told people off for catcalling her. She was even prepared to through a few punches. It's rare, though. You don't really feel worried.

Futaba Sakura:

Do you want to learn how to play video games and Featherman lore? No? Too damn bad because Futaba's idea of a date is plopping herself in your lap like Morgana A Cat and blab your ear off. You love it.

Quality Time is the way she expresses her love. She's still learning the world and how to manage with her social anxiety, and still coming out of her shell. For her, spending time together is how she goes.

Another person who you would not be in a relationship Pre-Palace. She would probably know about you though because you most likely hung out with Joker a lot.

She left you alone with Sojiro once for half an hour, when she came back you were nearly in tears and Sojiro was brewing Coffee. you learned that Sojiro does not fuck around when it comes to his daughter that day.

She has trouble communicating, so you gotta double check her boundaries. Actively make you you aren't crossing any lines because she will not tell you if you are.

She got catcalled once, and she just stood by as you beat the shit out of the guy. She cheered you on.

Haru Okumura:

Sweet Girl is still learning to navigate the world on her own, without her Father's influence. So you lead the charge on dates. You normally take her to cozy cafes and bookstores.

Gift Giving and Words of Affirmation are how Haru shows her love. She doesn't want you to feel unappreciated, especially with all you do for her.

You two wouldn't be dating before Okumura's Shutdown, but you two would be close friends! Probably her only friend away from her father's influence.

You didn't actively try and date her immediately after her father died, in fact you didn't even ask her out! It was about 2 months after what happened, and she asked you out. She giggled at your flustered expression as you stuttered out a yes.

You have beaten the shit out of her ex-fiance multiple times. He has tried to sue you, multiple times. Every Lawsuit falls through, for some reason.

You help her establish her boundaries. You respect them like you need to in order to breath.

Sumire Yoshizawa:

You love her for her. Kasumi, Sumire. You just love her. No amount of Maruki's powers will ever change that.

Your Dates would probable be random. No set schedule or theme. She'll just text you if you want to go out, and then you two would end up at the park somehow.

Words of Affirmation and Acts of Service. She just... needs to feel useful. She loves you and she wants you to never doubt that!

If you two were dating before the accident and before Maruki, you and Kasumi would have gotten along great! Cheering her on and helping her confidence. If you two started dating post accident and her becoming Kasumi, you would still love her after the reveal.

You have prepared to square up with any and all catcallers, Sumire has had to talk you down more times than she could count. She appreciates the thought, but she would rather not have her anchor sitting in jail.

In Get Over It., Leo/need receives an offer from Yoshiki Shindou to sign on to the record label he works for, Solis Records. Leo/need accepted the offer and signed a contract with Solis, making them professionals. However, they have yet to officially debut as a professional band.

Ichika

She has a cool appearance, but in reality she is a kind girl who cares about her friends. She formed Leo/need with her childhood friends Saki, Honami and Shiho, and they became professional musicians like they longed to be. She is the guitarist and vocalist for the band and also writes lyrics for their original songs. She has recently taken up the challenge of producing music using the Hatsune Miku software.

School year: 1st -> 2nd Class: 1-C -> 2-A Job: Staff at a fast food joint Height: 161 -> 162cm Other notes: She is no longer class rep, and has joined the broadcasting committee because she wanted to play music she liked on the radio and improve her MC skills

Saki

A cheerful mood-maker who always has a smile on her face, she serves as Leo/need's keyboardist. Having been sick and unable to attend school for a long time, she values spending time with others, enjoying her youth and being close to the hearts of those who are suffering - things that are all reflected in her songwriting.

School year: 1st -> 2nd Class: 1-C -> 2-B Job: Waitress at carino/carina cafe Height: 159 -> 160cm

Honami

The drummer of Leo/need, an honour student who excels at academics and athletic, and who has a kind and gentle nature. She used to worry about making decisions because she didn't want to hurt people, but through her band activities, she has learnt to have the courage to take charge and stand up for herself. Now, she supports Leo/need with her newfound strength.

School year: 1st -> 2nd Class: 1-B -> 2-A Job: Housekeeper for Kanade Height: 166cm Other notes: She's continuing to be a member of the beautification committee

Shiho

Leo/need's bassist. Due to her stoic nature, especially when music is involved, she is often misunderstood by those around her to be an asocial loner. However, she is very fond of everyone in Leo/need, who have worked with her to fulfil her dream of becoming a professional musician.

School year: 1st -> 2nd Class: 1-A -> 2-B Job: Livehouse staff Height: 159cm Other notes: due to Saki growing, she is now the shortest member of Leo/need. She also joined the animal caretaker committee because she liked volunteering there occasionally in 1st year

In Re-tie Friendship, MORE MORE JUMP! considers making the move to their school’s credit-based course, after their idol and school schedules start to clash. In the end they decide to change course, with the decision becoming official in STEP by STEP!.

Minori

A pure, hard-working girl. She is the only member of MORE MORE JUMP! with no prior experience as an idol, but was able to prove herself to fans through many activities, and was even able to perform a solo concert with her group just like she'd always dreamed. Now, she's continuing to work hard with her group to become known nationwide and be able to peform live at a dome venue.

School year: 1st -> 2nd (on credit course / not full time) Class: 1-A -> 2-D Job: Waitress at carino/carina cafe -> none (quit to focus on idol work) Height: 158 -> 159cm Other notes: She's going to continue as a member of the animal caretaker committee

Haruka

Former top idol and member of the nationally famous group, ASRUN. She is currently a member of MORE MORE JUMP!, and after the group's first solo live, is even more motivated to continue pursuing her idol career. She recently decided to transfer back to her school's credit system, alongside Minori, so that she can dedicate more time to her work once again.

Vivid BAD SQUAD

The squad was told the truth behind RAD WEEKEND, that being that the event was held as a swan song for Nagi, who passed away a few weeks afterwards due to terminal cancer. Taiga then challenged VBS, EVER, Arata and Kotaro to a singing battle, easily defeating them all. EVER decides to take a hiatus from street music, while Arata leaves town. Vivid BAD SQUAD decide that they need to work even harder if they want to surpass RAD WEEKEND, and Ken temporarily closes WEEKEND GARAGE so he can become their mentor.

Kohane

Although she used to be shy and timid, she became more confident in her singing through friendly competition and encouragement from her teammates, and through the training of Taiga, one of the members of the group who held the legendary RAD WEEKEND event. Although she was once defeated by her mentor and became frustrated because of it, she was able to stand up to Taiga and declare that she still wanted to surpass RAD WEEKEND.

The cheerful, sincere and open-minded poster girl of WEEKEND GARAGE. While working to organise an event that surpasses the legendary RAD WEEKEND held by her father and his teammates, she was shocked to learn the secret about what happened to Nagi, the person she looked up to most. However, after learning about Nagi's true feelings from her father, she was able to pick herself up and once again vow to surpass the legend.

Akito

The weight of the secret behind RAD WEEKEND almost made him give up, but he was reminded of the passion he had for his dream, which inspired him to get back up and push forwards.

Toya

A young prodigy born into a family of famous classical musicians. Whilst aiming to surpass the legendary RAD WEEKEND event, Toya has been trying his hand at composing music for his group. Despite being overwhelmed by the true level of the legendary event, with the experience he has acquired so far, he hopes to overcome the barriers with his teammates and see what lies ahead.

WonderlandsxShowtime

In Our Happy Ending, Rui proposes that WonderlandsxShowtime begin operating as a freelance unit instead of as Phoenix Wonderland cast. Emu initially declines, but her brothers encourage her to go with the others, since she’s still young and should take the opportunity to get out there while she can. After one more show at PXL, WxS’ contract is terminated and they officially become freelancers.

Tsukasa

The chairman of WonderlandsxShowtime, who aspires to be the biggest star in the world. After a variety of experiences as a cast member, he developed a desire to see the wider world and learn more about his craft. Eventually he decided to leave the Wonder Stage with his troupemates and take the next step.

School year: 2nd -> 3rd Class: 2-A -> 3-C Job: Phoenix Wonderland cast -> freelancer with WonderlandsxShowtime Height: 172 -> 173cm Other notes: He is no longer class rep. He instead became a disciplinary committee member because he wanted to get away from the Oddball 1 image in his last year. However if he does anything against the rules with Rui he's kicked off.

Emu

A girl with an innocent personality and boundless positivity. Her dream is to uphold her grandfather's legacy and protect Phoenix Wonderland, and she was prepared to part ways with the rest of WonderlandsxShowtime members who were leaving to pursue their dreams because of this. However, her siblings and friends encouraged her to step outside the park so she can gain experience before pursuing her dream.

Nene

A young girl who aspires to become a world-class musical actress. Rui

A genius director who goes at his own pace. He used to work alone, but found a place to belong in WonderlandsxShowtime, who accepted him and his shows. He recently sought a way for him and his troupemates to be able to follow their dreams without going their separate ways. In the end, everything led to the best possible 'grand finale' where all of them can continue to perform together whilst pursuing their individual dreams.

25-ji, Nightcord de.

As her mother continues to try and cut her off from 25-ji, Nightcord de., Mafuyu’s mental health continues to decline and her grades start to slip. Her mother finds out that she didn’t do as well on her finals as usual, and attempts to confiscate her phone, breaking it in the process and completely cutting Mafuyu off from N25. Mafuyu finally comes clean about everything with her mother, however her mother is completely apathetic and tries to manipulate her into thinking that none of it is her fault. Mafuyu ends up running away from home as a result.

Kanade

25-ji, Nightcord de.'s composer. She was happy to see that her songs were having more and more of an effect on Mafuyu, but was one day approached by Mafuyu's mother telling her to stay away from her daughter. However, after the way Mafuyu's mother talked and acted made her feel uncomfortable, Kanade refused her demands and chose to stay by Mafuyu's side.

Mafuyu

25-ji, Nightcord de.'s lyricist. She lost sight of her true self due to her mother constantly pushing her to be a "good girl", but she came to find a place to belong in N25. However, her mother tried to take that away from her, pushing Mafuyu to her limit and causing her to run away from home and seek refuge in Kanade.

Ena

25-ji, Nightcord de.'s illustrator. She isn't naturally talented at art, but she has developed the strength to keep drawing even after she's harshly criticised. Ena is a very straightforward person, and was irritated by Mafuyu being reluctant to communicate her feelings with her mother. However Ena can sense a definite change in Mafuyu since they first met, and will continue to watch over her closely as a friend.

Mizuki

25-ji, Nightcord de.'s video editor. They were worried about Mafuyu's deteriorating relationship with her mother, but felt like they couldn't help due to being unable to face up to their own secrets. However, they realised from their own experiences that some things can be gained from running away from painful situations, and tells Mafuyu that it's okay for her to run away if things get too much to handle.

The third anniversary song has been announced! The title is NEO and it was produced by JIN! Below is JIN's comment on the song (via @/pjsekai_eng on Twitter). Marasy also confirmed that he did the piano parts in this song!

HachiojiP was commissioned to produce this year's extra hard song. No further information has been revealed at the moment.

New Commissions

Every unit will get a new commissioned song that isn't tied to an event, including the Virtual Singer unit. These will be added one per month for the next 6 months. The first up will be Virtual Singer, with their new song I'm Mine by halyosy. A preview can be found here. It will also have a 3DMV.

Section 3 - Game updates

So far we know that the daily login will be changed so that every day you will now receive 15 wish pieces and 50 gems, and that the number of virtual coinsx300 that you can exchange from the wish piece exchange will be increased from 10 to 15 times.

Some packs will also be removed from the shop. The sewing bundle, music card bundle, stamp bundle, and coin bundle will be discontinued due to changes in contents. The 2nd anniversary variety bundle will be permanently discontinued.

the following was announced during the 3rd anniversary wandasho channel!

The new unit outfits found at the top of this post will be implemented as free 3D costumes

The original outfits for all SEKAI-variant Virtual Singers will be added as 3D costumes (only starter vsingers will be getting 3D costumes for the new outfits). You can get these costumes by reading the respective Vsinger's debut event (ie: reading Secret Distance will unlock N25!MEIKO's costume)

All characters will have new casual outfit Live2Ds, and some characters will have new school uniforms as well

The new stock arts at the top of this post will be added as new 2* cards

A new tap SFX and note skins will be added. These are optional and can be changed in settings.

Titles will be added for playing with 2nd year and 3rd year members

More than 180 new area conversations will be added! An option to switch to area conversations before and after the age-up will also be implemented

New loading screen 1-komas will be added! These will replace the old ones, which will be moved onto the official website

Character profiles will be revamped!

New elements will be added to custom profile editing

You will now be able to play a live show to the end even after hitting 0 life. You will not get good rewards for failing the song though.

New commissioned songs will be added for each unit!! These will be added one-per-month. Virtual Singer is also getting a new song! More details will be announced later (and can be found in the song campaign section of this post)

A card's power will be renamed to "performance"

Unit ranks will be removed due to serving no purpose anymore

EX Missions are finally being added! These were announced a long time ago but ended up getting postponed. These are additional character rank missions for after you max out a character's CHRank.

Some normal character rank missions will have their cap increased to account for content released since the last cap increase, including number of cards, costumes, alt vocals, side stories, etc

Character rank titles will be updated to account for new max level

Player rank cap will be increased and have a new title added to account for that

A title will be added for 4 years login so players can start working towards it

Several Virtual Live effects, such as the confetti and balloons, will cost less Virtual Coins due to the game constantly replacing everything that gives your Virtual Coins with Wish Pieces

Rewards for reading event stories will be changed from 2 music cards + 50 gems per chapter to 100 gems + 50 wish pieces + 2 music cards per chapter (!!). This will only apply to events released after 3rd anniversary and no compensation will be given for the previous 107 events because the devs aren't that nice

Players that rank between 4 and 10 on an event will no longer get a top 10 title, but a title with their specific placement on it

Top 1500 and 2500 title will be added

T50K - T300K reward crystals increased to 300

T11 - T200K will get additional skill up scores

3D graphics update!

There's been a massive update to the game's 3D models! They now have improved shading and animations! A PV demonstrating can be found here!

The songs that won the 3DMV improvement campaign (Umiyuri Kaiteitan, IF, Cinema, TONDEMO-WONDERZ, and IDSMILE) will have their 3DMVs changed as part of this update.

These will be released on Youtube tomorrow, links in the above bullet point

6th generation (2018) and below iPads will not be able to run the game after this update

Alongside 3D models and the 5 winning MVs, the gacha animation has also been remade

UI updates!

The game will be getting a massive UI overhaul, some images can be found below

A side story menu will be added alongside the event and main story menus.

New difficulty: Append!

A new difficulty will be added, called Append. It requires playing with 3 or more fingers, similar to the Proseka Ultimate songs! The difficulty range will be Lvl23-38!

The first 12 songs to receive Append charts will be Tell Your World, NEO, Hibana -Reloaded-, Stella, MORE! JUMP! MORE!, Vampire, Cinema, Pheles, TONDEMO-WONDERZ, Telecaster B-boy, I nandesu, and Gehenna!

Append will have a new note type, called Trace. It is similar to a slide note from Bandori.

The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku will also have a lvl 35 Append chart added for a limited time, starting on September 30th. This will be the full version of the song for added challenge.

New event type: World Link!

Described as "stories where you will witness new possibilities in the SEKAI due to change in characters' feelings". By the 4th anniversary, every unit will get one World Link format unit event.

The event will be formatted in parts, known as chapters. Each chapter will be focused on a different character and have its own event ranking and story, and will run for only a few days. At the end of the story, changes might happen in the SEKAI...

Event ranking will be split into two sections: chapter and overall. Chapter score is accumulated during each chapter, and overall tallies your points throughout the entire event (so it is possible to tier one chapter and still get low overall rank because you ignored the other 3). Chapter ranking will have new special titles for ranks 1-100, but everything below T200 will keep the same titles as have always been used.

Event exchange will be split in a similar way, with a chapter exchange and general exchange. Chapter exchange can only be used with the pt badges earned during the specific chapter, but any leftovers can be converted and used in the general exchange.

Event bonus will work a little differently in these events, with the introduction of support units. If you've played like any other idol game you will know what these are, but for those who don't, then basically it allows you to add extra cards to a team that although can't be used and will not affect score, they can raise your event bonus for your main team. In World Link events, the support team will have 12 slots. Refer to the translated images from @/pjsekai_eng on twitter above.

The first World Link event will be for Niigo, and will be held between the 8th and 20th of November! After that will be VBS in January, WxS in March, MMJ! in May, L/n in July, and Virtual Singer (!!) in August.

Section 4 - Lives

Project SEKAI's 3rd live has been announced, titled Evolve!! The live will be held in two locations: Tokyo on January 26th-28th, and Osaka on February 17th & 18th 2024!

To commemorate the announcement of the live, a livestream will be held on the 13th of October at 11am UTC, featuring Yukki, Mayushii, Akina, Daichan and Minoringo. The stream can be found here. During the stream, highlights of the live's "evolution" will be shown.

During the stream it was announced that the setlist will vary between the day and night performances, with certain members getting more songs during day performances, and certain members getting more songs during night performances. A connect live to celebrate the third anniversary has been announced. This was actually announced a month ago but I forgot about it and we didn't get art until now. It is titled Memorial Stage and will be held on the 8th of October!

A login story for the live will be available from October 6th.

Section 5 - Event and gacha

The next event will be centered around the unit reps, with all of them being limited gacha cards, except Kohane who will be the exchange 3*. KAITO and MEIKO will be the fes cards. The event is called Hello Good Day! and is an Ichika banner.

Section 6 - Project SEKAI Academy

Project SEKAI Academy is a program for young Vocaloid-Ps who will carry the next generation. 10 applicants under the age of 24 can win a place and be mentored by OSTER Project and Hiiragi Magnetite. 3 more unannounced Voca-Ps will also take part in the program. Each producer will make one song during the program, and one lucky student will have their song added to the game! More info can be found on the official website.

Section 7 - Animation

That's right. We got an anime! ...Well kinda.

Starting from the 30th, digest animations of the 5 main stories will be sequentially released on Youtube. The trailer for Leo/need's animation, animated by P.A. WORKS, is above.

Section 8 - Miscellaneous news

Project SEKAI will be doing a collab event with the KaraokeKan chain of karaoke clubs starting in late October. There will be themed drinks, as well as prizes that can be won by singing certain songs! The promotional art was drawn by Rozuki.

As of today (17th September), posters promoting the anniversary have begun to appear on public transport in Japan! Tomorrow posters will begin to appear in major cities. These posters contain the class registers for the next in-universe school year! The new classes are written in the character section.

A Blu-ray and CD of this year's SEKAI Symphony will be released on November 29th! A preview video can be found on Twitter.

Project SEKAI will be collabing with SANRIO!! A teaser of some of the promotional illustrations can be found here. More details will be announced in October.

From Midnight JST on the 29th (15:00 UTC on the 28th), illustrations will be released on Twitter showing the characters' last days before moving up a grade. Four will be released throughout the day, at midnight, noon, 6pm and 10pm (all JST).

A livestream celebrating the anniversary will be held on the 29th September at 23:30 JST / 14:30 UTC. It will feature Yukki, Honchan, Akina and Hiichan on the panel. The stream can be found here.

Finally after 2 years of waiting, Volume 2 of the SEKAI cover albums has been announced. Track lists and release dates below. Note that Hello,World and ray have been excluded from the Leo/need album, possibly due to being part of an artist collab. Their full versions have been available on YouTube for about two years anyway so not overly bad. Aun no Beats has been excluded from the VBS album for unknown reasons (probably copyright).
