NEW WEEK, NEW RECS! START SENDING YOUR FAVORITE FANDOM CREATIONS FROM THIS WEEK IN FOR ME TO QUEUE UP FOR FRIDAY!
The goal of Fandom Friday: provide a place where people can shout-out their favorite creators from the week, whether it’s a piece of fan art that made you smile or a fanfic that moved you. Drop a link to your favorite creations this week into my ask box along with what you loved about it, and I will give them a shout! It doesn’t have to be Star Wars either! If it’s on another website (AO3, Twitter, etc.), please be sure to state that as well.
This happens each week, so don’t feel like you’ve got to get out everything in one week. Just keep track of them throughout the week or send me an ask whenever you find something, and I’ll drop them all on Fridays (or throughout the weekend if I get a lot). You may submit for this week until THURSDAY MORNING (I'm in the Pacific timezone). Anything received after that will roll to the next week. A summary of the weeks’ recs will get added onto this post on Saturday, so check back here for all of the awesome fics and art! And be sure to go give the creations on that list some love (and don’t just share the ask responses I put out).
This week’s submissions will start posting on Friday, August 18. NOTE: This will be my last Fandom Friday for a little while. I'm heading home to help out with some family things and won't have time to pull recs together each week, so LET'S GET A GOOD LIST THIS WEEK! I encourage you to celebrate Fandom Friday even if I'm not doing a rec list, and if you do so, TAG YOUR RECS WITH #FANDOM FRIDAY!
Rules and additional details under the cut! PLEASE make sure you read the rules before sending something in. If your submission violates any of the rules, I will delete it.
Rules:
Please send submissions to my ask box (sending them all to one place makes wrangling them easier each week). In your ask, please include the creator’s handle, a link to their work/post (if links aren’t working for the ask, please DM me them), and what you loved about it!
Please ensure the link is to the creator’s original post and not your own reblog or repost of their work (if they’re on another platform). The idea is to drive people to visit the creator’s page!
The creation does not have to have been posted this week! It can be something older. Also, don’t worry about whether or not a rec is a repeat from a prior week. Just looking to celebrate things that made an impression on you this week, whether you’ve seen it before or not!
NSFW is alright! Just make sure you note it in the ask so I can flag appropriately! Since I’m including 18+ material, minors may not participate. 18+ posts will be tagged with NSFT/lemon/lemony lemon (trying to cover all my bases).
NO incest, underage, cl*necest, master/padawan (or similar power dynamics), dub-con/non-con/rape. Also, no H*rry Potter. There are a few others that I also won’t share due to my discomfort with them (i.e., R*xsoka), so if you’re not sure, ask. Also, many of you submit multiple works at once, and that’s fine, but if one of those works contains something that violates the rules, I will delete the entire ask, so something to be extra careful about when submitting!
If your rec involves spoilers from a show that’s currently running, please include that info in the ask so I can tag it appropriately (I will normally tag a few different ways, but I always use #<show title> spoilers if you need to filter, for example: Andor spoilers will be tagged #Andor Spoilers). I will stop tagging spoilers two weeks after the show stops airing.
You can submit GIF sets or edits, but please ensure you are submitting from the blog that actually created them. Wanted to add that caution since there’s been a lot of people stealing/reposting GIFs and edits in particular recently. So just be cautious.
Try to avoid commentary in your ask that might make others feel bad (“the only person who knows how to write XXX correctly…”). It’s important to be able to appreciate creators without making others feel bad, so let’s try to keep the commentary complimentary without being off-putting for other creators.
Self recommendations are allowed and encouraged! Shout out your own hard work! You deserve the recognition!
*Rules subject to change so PLEASE make sure you read them before sending something in. If your submission violates any of the rules, I will delete it.
**If you have any questions about any of the rules, don’t hesitate to DM me!
In addition to sending me asks, I highly encourage you to go either leave a comment on and/or reblog someone’s work (tag me or use the #Fandom Friday tag if you do!). Let’s get the interaction back up on this website and show the creators that work so hard on their stuff some love!

Felt like making a post since I've gained quite a lot of new followers on this blog (as well as on my main, most people being the same on both), as well as lots of reblogs which is GREAT too since the fandom here is already way too tiny!!! And I'm aware that I haven't been too active on this side of Tumblr in a long time.
I haven't had the queue running since the last spring, simply because I started to run out of blog to reblog from. I feel like I have already had everything in my blog, and I keep finding older blog and reblogging from those has its own problems. At least when I last time added stuff to my queue and drafts, I had to use the old XKit for adding stuff directly from blogs because using the regular system is nerve-racking. On top of all that, reblogging old posts means the HTML code of those posts looks different from recent posts, which is why adding tags, also, got extremely frustrating. I use quick tags and tag bundles exactly for the reason that I don't need to type every single tag there myself, and that I don't need to open every single post individually for adding tags. Well guess what - old posts did not support the quick tags anymore. It just kept saying there was an error, and I had to type everything down myself. Often several times. (And not tagging just is not an option for me!) Plus, Tumblr often likes/liked (not sure if it's already fixed) to refresh the queue/draft page so that it got just pain in the add to click and edit individual posts only to scroll down the drafts/queue every single time, and then do that like. 70 times in a row. Which is far from fun.
Adding stuff to queue just got too overwhelming. Tumblr freezing my browser when opening several tabs of a blog at once. Then quick tags and tag bundles stopped working and posts breaking because the old HTML code doesn't match the current HTML code. And the queue/drafts refreshing itself every single time cos you can't use quick tags.
But I feel like I need to start going through blogs again. I feel like I owe that to my old as well as new followers. Hopefully adding stuff to the queue won't be as enraging as it used to be. At some point even the beta editor changed somehow and I had to use the old one because in the new one you no longer could arrange images so making gifsets or photosets was impossible. And you can't arrange them in the old one either, unless you open it on the app, but where you sometimes still can't arrange them because the desktop code doesn't match the mobile code. And if you can open them on mobile, then you might not be able to open them on the desktop anymore cos Tumblr says it was created on the app. Besides, this web beta editor still doesn't work perfectly. I wonder if it ever will.
The last issue then is of course: the like-reblog ratios. This is not Instagram. If you only like and never reblog anything, you can be sure that I will block you in an instant. ESPECIALLY if you don't have a blog title and use the default icons. Then I will assume you're either a bot, or "spying us for (dä) content" which is not acceptable, at least not in my eyes. Go make your own content and don't steal what others have worked on hard, sometimes for hours. Which leads us back to like-reblog ratio: reblog art, please. And reblog creations. Reblogging IS NOT reposting, and reblogging is very very very much encouraged! (If you're new to Tumblr, it's that arrows symbol that looks like recycling symbol.) So please please please, reblog creations! Our tiny fandom is already tiny enough so when everyone's here just watching and not sharing and interacting (by reblogging! writing stuff in the tags!), I assure you that the Tumblr fandom WILL die out eventually. In fact it used to be way more active before, and it's been horribly inactive over the past 2-3 years. Also I used to post my art, edits, memes and videos here but recently gave up on that because there's just no interaction whatsoever anymore. So I don't see any point in sharing MY content to others if others don't care to look at it. So, I'm creating for myself and also keeping it all to myself, then. Maybe sharing it to some friends + my Instagram followers since IG seems to treat artists a bit better than Tumblr.
Alright, I guess that's enough. I'll try to get back to keeping this blog active, but finding "new" content is so hard nowadays, and I already explained the problems with the older posts. (I also started school a month ago so that will take some of my time, but I'm still spending time on Tumblr as if my life depended on it so it hasn't affected my Tumblr time that much yet.)

About this blog [RULES & GUIDELINES]
Hey there! Welcome to the blog, and I hope you enjoy your stay here! Before you ask, yes, I am aware that RvB might not be the most popular show at the moment, however I still am a really avid fan of the series! I know that people are out there like me who go through the same troubles finding content for them to read when it involves anything MLM, so I figured I should start a blog like this sooner or later (my impatience - or passion - is showing haha). Anyways, I want this blog to be a way for me to grow as a writer alongside the obvious content creation that a blog like this is meant for. Below, I will go over the general rules and regs of the blog, as well as any rules pertaining towards the requests that you might have for me!
General Rules & Guidelines
- Please stay respectful! It matters a lot to me that nobody begins fighting someone else, or me, when they find something that they disagree with. We are all human, so we each deserve some degree of respect for each other and realize that people DO have feelings on the other side of the screen you are typing into. (Constructive criticisms are appreciated though! Just send anything of that type in my inbox if you have suggestions for things I could change to make your experience on the blog more enjoyable!)
- Don't overly use my DMs. I rarely ever check them, and seeing the inbox requests are easier for me to digest. So yeah, keep to the request/ask box please!
- Don't copy my work. I know that some of you out there might be new to tumblr, or just don't know about this, but please just reblog my work if you like it instead of flat out stealing it! I speak for a lot of creators when I say that having your hard work stolen sucks. Inspiration is perfectly fine IF the whole piece isn't copied word for word, since that is no longer an inspired piece.
Request Rules & Guidelines
What I will write for:
- MLM Pairings (That includes Reader/Character and Character/Character pairings, although I struggle with those a lot more)
- Filler character details (One thing about me is that I strongly dislike using abbreviations for a descriptor of a character, so I will use my own details for them to make the writing process easier and, in my opinion, cleaner. If that doesn't suit your needs then you are free to think about the character looking/being named differently)
- PLATONIC Male reader/Female Character pairings
- The Reds & Blues, Blues & Reds, Freelancers, Mercs, and some other characters (EXCEPTIONS LISTED BELOW)
- Fluff
- Angst
- Some heavier topics (Self-Harm, PTSD, Depression, Panic/Anxiety attacks etc.)
(PLEASE NOTE: I am definitely not the best at writing for these heavier topics since I only have experience with a couple of them, and even then it was very mild in comparison to what many have to struggle through. If I ever write them inaccurately than please let me know so I can avoid those mistakes in the future. I never want to make someone feel bad or trigger something within someone because of my poor writing decisions.)
- Third and Second person perspectives
What I might write for:
(For reference, these all depend on my mood and some days I might feel more inclined to write for a certain prompt/topic than others. If you send in a request for one of the listed topics below and I don't respond for a while, then i'm either writing something else, saving it for when the mood is right, or I'm just slow lol. I'm not on a schedule yet so it'll probably take a while to respond regardless of content)
- Something a bit steamier (I'm rarely able to write anything steamy, but sometimes it just happens)
- Some AUs (I'm typically not the best when it comes to writing for them)
- Locus (Sometimes I want him to be a big softie, other times he's just there for flavor text)
What I won't write for:
- Smut
- Romantic F/M or F/F pairings (This is an MLM blog after all)
- Femboy Reader (I'm just not that great at writing it, I've learned)
- OCs (Mine are the only ones excluded from this rule, of course)
- Any First person perspectives (It's extremely hard to write well, and I am not one of those who can use it effectively)
- Yandere content (I'm terrible at it, and it can weird me out just a tad)
- The Chairman (For the one mad-lad I know that'll try something; just don't. It's not worth it)
- Sharkface, The Councilor, The Director, Wyoming, Loco, and Sarge (Don't ask me why. I could never really see them in a romantic way)
