Just remembered how two months ago i went to the local community theater awards, and one person, in their "acceptance speech" was like, "this goes to goes out to everyone who said i couldn't play this role because i was too [x], or i couldn't sing this part because my voice was too [y]!"
Like, girl, what? Who's "everyone"? Was it, like, one single person? Was it someone else who wanted that part? Was it your understudy? This is literally community theater, I have no idea who you are. Why are you acting like your personal drama is some kind of systemic issue?

A Measured Response: A Measured Response
Above please find the video I'm responding to, "A Measured Response" by James Somerton. If he deletes later (and I suspect he may), I will reblog with an embed of a copy of the video.
Also note: Much of this is taken from comments I made on his video. But I believe he may be deleting them. Or I got caught up in the spam filter because I commented more than once out of sheer frustration with what I was hearing.
James,
Okay, I am going to start off with a couple things I will give you credit for:
1) Acknowledging the shitty effect nuking your channel had on Nick's career and prospects. That's actually something that hasn't been discussed much and it is genuinely good of you to volunteer that to your audience. As someone who once had her own portfolio nuked by former partners, that's a good thing to bring up. No notes there. That was a good move.
2) You actually used the word 'plagiarism' this time.
I would also like to say that I am glad that you are safe and I am glad you are still alive.
I'm hearing lots about insurance, and your mental health struggles, and the move YOU chose to make "disrupting everything" and your mom's death, "not citing things correctly", how ADHD apparently made you plagiarize, and how hard things are for you. And how people harassed and doxxed you. How you totally want to prove yourself!
Here's what I'm not hearing about:
1) The harassment campaign you launched against your accusers that literally caused them to go into hiding. Sorry, but you don't get sympathy points about death threats and doxing without at least expressing remorse when you did that to others. You haven't mentioned it once. you also falsely accused OTHERS of sending harassment your way and have not acknowledged it.
2) The multiple transphobic and misogynistic lies you told.
3) The tangible impact of queer erasure YOU ENGAGED IN. You barely mention any of the people you stole from. Believe it or not, James, but those people? They also had lives, and jobs, and obligations. Some of them also had dead parents. Then there are the queer people you erased the identities of, slandered, and insulted. Becky Abertelli had to deal with YEARS of the same sort of harassment you're complaining about because of people calling her straight. And even after she was FORCED OUT OF THE CLOSET, you perpetuated that lie again. And yes, YOU DID, JAMES. PUTTING HER IN THE 'STRAIGHT AUTHORS' CATEGORY IS CALLING HER STRAIGHT, JAMES. THAT'S HOW CATEGORIES WORK. Then when she briefly corrected you, you lied about her repeatedly and inserted nasty little vague comments about her so that you could bait your audience into asking about it and claim she harassed you on twitter for not liking her show (which never happened once. She didnt even bring up you straight-washing her on twitter. It was in your comments section.). So not only did you lie, you went out of your way to create opportunities to lie about her more.
4) The outright dangerous rhetoric you engaged in. Such as:
a) You lied about the AIDS epidemic and generations of actual queer activists who you claimed didn't care about employment discrimination and just wanted to have "big gay weddings" because they were "boring. This is a false and dangerous retelling of queer history, not only isolating new generations of queer people, but also erasing the tangible benefits of the legal benefits you enjoy now, James. THEY WANTED MARRIAGE SO THEY COULD HOLD THEIR DYING LOVERS' HANDS AS THEY PASSED AND ATTEND THEIR FUNERALS, JAMES. THEY WANTED MARRIAGE SO THEY WEREN'T KICKED OUT OF THEIR HOMES AND STRIPPED OF BENEFITS DURING A HEALTH PANDEMIC, JAMES. THEY DID FIGHT FOR EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS, JAMES. THAT'S HOW SEXUALITY BECAME A PROTECTED CLASS. Lying about and downplaying the legal rights these valiant "boring" people fought for misleads current generations of queer people into caring less about their history, the people who have done the most for them, and protecting the legal rights so desperately won.
b) All the gay Nazi shit. I feel like I shouldn't have to explain why inventing facts about all the Nazi secret police and youth counselors being gay and extorting people for sex under the Reich is so insanely dangerous and disgusting, but here's a hint: it casts your own community as being the vile, perverted criminals that THE ACTUAL PEOPLE WHO WANT YOU DEAD (you know, homophobes? Not people on the internet who noticed you plagiarized the Celluloid Closet) perpetuate in order to sell their draconian policies to the masses.
c) all the misogyny. I get it, you want to erase the discrimination against women (and people you claim are women) have faced, especially as queer women. You wanted to pretend Radcliffe Hall was allowed to "carry on with her happy little life." You wanted your audience to believe that. You wanted your audience to shit on women for moral panics you made up. You wanted to erase the queer identity of a woman who had already been through Hell and then pass it off as justified. With the rising tied of renewed misogyny,, incel attacks, and reproductive rights being stripped from us, you really, really wanted to sell the message of women being whiny, jealous bitches who get handed everything, never deal with consequences, and hate people for not liking their work. (TBH, it feels a bit like projection on your part) thank you for spreading so much incel rhetoric and transphobia and making your audience ignorant of the great contributions women have made to LGBTQIA history.
I'd respect you more if you would just own up to the obvious biases you clearly have.
That's not all, but my hands are getting tired.
5) That you were caught lying about the contents of Hbomb's video in your initial patreon response.
6) The worth of the people you stole from.
7) Using Nick's asexuality as an excuse for your acephobic AF bullshit about how ace people apparently never dealt with institutional oppression when they're the most likely to be sent to conversion camp and have had corrective rape used as a "treatment" throughout history. Like, holy shit, James.
8) How you tried to lay blame for your shitty, stolen work on your own audience because "you didn't wanrt to make them and they were patreon requests." You didn't have to keep video requests as a perk. Those people paid over $300 to you for those wids only for you to throw them under the bus.
9) Your complete refusal to update your Telos backers on anything besides announcing new projects that you were using to replace the projects you promised them. You could have gone on Patreon, Indiegogo, Twitter, or your channel, and explained things. Things like this happen. But instead you ghosted and gaslighted.
10) The shit you pulled about Nebula.
11) The shitsquillion dollars you spent on cameras you didn't need when you were also claiming to your patrons about being on the verge of homelessness.
"It's a documentary, no opinion just cited facts." James, you've cited "facts" like "15% of the Hitler Youth counselors were gay", "Radcliffe Hall didn't get punished for writing a book about lesbians", and "there was no fight against employment discrimination" as "facts."
Then there's the part where you're still insisting that the people who told you that you can't make a short film on 3K were wrong. You insist it's possible because you intended to use non-union labor. then two minutes later you admit a movie you put together ended up going way over-budget because you didn't realize how much things would cost.
So the Telos nay-sayers had a point, James. Why are you still acting like they were wrong. Do you just not want anyone to find Dan Olsen's tweets about your finances?
The fact that you think you have any business coming back when all you've ever managed are lies and theft is so hilariously conceited. I get it. You want to be able to "carry on with your happy little life" (the way Radcliffe Hall DIDN'T). You want to go back to being a big youtuber and for everyone to admire you once you manage to go a whole video without stealing from anyone. That's not how this works. You have no credibility. You have caused a huge amount of damage not just to your immediate audience, but also the queer community overall.
You hurt a lot more people than Jessie Gender, James.
"We weren't trying to lie about things." BULL FUCKING SHIT. YOU NOT ONLY LIED ABOUT BECKY ALBERTALLI MULTIPLE TIMES. YOU EVEN MADE AN INDIRECT DIG AT HER SO YOUR AUDIENCE WOULD ASK ABOUT IT SO YOU COULD LIE ABOUT YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH HER AS WELL. YOU LIED ABOUT WHO ACTUALLY WROTE YOUR VIDEOS. YOU LIED ABOUT YOUR CREDITS. YOU LIED ON PURPOSE. AND YOU LIED IN WAYS THAT HURT PEOPLE.
You also lie in your video saying "in the beginning, I thought it was enough to put people's names in the opening credits." No you didn't. You started using those opening credits well after the accusations came rolling in. You even admitted on twitter that in the beginning you weren't "citing my sources yet."
Do I believe much of your bullshit was pure laziness? Certainly. But there can be more than one reason for it. There's no way you knew who Radcliffe Hall was and actually thought she face no repercussions. No one who has ever heard of The Well of Loneliness DOESN'T know all the prints were destroyed. It being a lesbian book that was destroyed by the courts is THE STORY.
You lied when you said you didn't call Becky Albertalli straight. EVEN THOUGH YOU ADMIT TO PUTTING HER IN THE STRAIGHT CATEGORY.
You lied about your "adaptation" of Evil Queens and tinker Bells and the citation and schedule of when you got approval. You got approval after the fact and claiming you got it from the beginning. your own email screenshot proves it.
You lied saying the Evil Queens video was "a direct adaptation of the books" despite half the video being plagiarized from completely different works. You lied about your plagiarism accusations and HBomb's video rehashing old "debunked" accusations on Patreon. You lied about Alexander Avila. You lied about reading/watching a bunch of the media you were "critiquing." you lied about when you started with your opening credits.
These were ALL LIES YOU TOLD ON PURPOSE.
You don't "research", "write", shoot, edit, and post a video with shit like that in it and say it wasn't malicious or intentional. You put these videos out there with scores of lies, many of which were directed at various marginalized groups, and CHOSE to never check if anything you said was true. You don't invent entire fake moral panics "by accident." You don't plagiarize by accident.
Please don't spend forty minutes reciting excuses and then claim "these are not excuses." You're not fooling us.
Also - Leave your poor mother out of this. She already had to die of cancer. Let the poor woman rest.
But thank you for linking your new patreon and telling us all about your upcoming videos! I am glad you have your priorities straight. (that was sarcasm)
Just leave the internet, James. Not LIFE, OBVIOUSLY. Stay alive. But your time as a content creator is done. You have no viability in that area. The fact that you think you can just do this is equal parts entitled and delusional. That you think you can come back so soon makes it even worse. Tell you what: you can try again after it's verified that the people you stole from have been compensated and you properly apologize for everything else.
I will not believe you're truly sorry until you can actually apologize without caveats, excuses, and, yes, lies. Saying you're sorry for "not citing things correctly" is not apologizing for what you did. It's cushioning the actual facts and downplaying your transgression. You have not apologized for the misogyny, acephobia, or transphobia, which, yes, YOU DID. I don't care if you want to claim it wasn't intentional YOU STILL DID IT. You haven't apologized for harassing and slandering your critics.
So no, James, I don't really believe you're sorry. I think you're sorry this blew up and that you have to make a new patreon. I don't trust that you won't continue being misogynistic. I don't trust that if you ever see this comment, that you will actually read it instead of crying homophobia and cancel culture and "wanting you dead."
Admit that you harassed people and that it was awful. Admit the extent. Admit you lied about Becky Albertalli and apologize to her. Admit that, yes, YOU HAVE SOME REAL ISSUES WITH WOMEN and that you are ready to confront them.
I don't trust you to do the right thing here. But maybe this comment will be read by someone who might have otherwise fallen for this and it'll be easier for them to see through manipulation like this in the future.
Just log off, Bro.

Can't reblog a really good post about Zuko taking shots at Aang's culture, so I'll just copy-paste it:
ok this was just meant to be a silly post, but might as well get into it. It's not that I can't understand why Zuko being racist is realistic, I know it is, but what value does it have to the story genuinely?
I was talking to another fan, apart of another fandom, about racism portrayed in fiction. Writers love the "realism" of racism esp from their "redeemed" characters spouting racist remarks to their new found family. But what about the "realistic" reaction of those on the receiving end? Y'know the victims? Do they not get hurt? Do they never punch back? We go from a group of heroes fighting against injustice, to them twiddling their thumbs as their new "friend" calls them slurs as a nickname (and yes, I've seen it in atla fandom).
And that's how I feel about Zuko's racism in the show. It's actually frustrating cause every time fans bring up that aspect of Zuko's character, it always get redirected to "it's good for his arc! Its benefits for his character!" What do I care! I'm not bringing up his racism to center him. Where's the focus on how it's good for the other characters to suffer like this? Does it benefit their arcs?
The scenes I was thinking of when I wrote this post was when Zuko diminished the role the monks had in Aang's life (right after finding out they all died) compared to his biological father (lol), and when he mocked Aang's culture again in TSR. And you know what I think? That's there's barely a difference between these scenes.
The things he says is never addressed outright. His attitude is never confronted as a genuine issue. And it's wild because the gaang reacted far more to less injustice in the past. These kids would be angrier at being teased by their friends and weren't afraid to put their foot down at outright discrimination, only to be made "diplomatic" towards their so called "reformed" member. While we're taught Zuko is changing and to keep less expectations, are we also taught you can't call out your friend or be angry whenever they insult your culture?
You said so yourself, the show didn't have any time to dive into it (say compared to issues he had with his family) or get him to actually CHANGE. And if Zuko is becoming a better person (a bit late if he's pulling this crap all the way to the finale) then why not have him face consequences of his words? Why not have him outcasted by the group momentarily and have his views be challenged, why not show him struggle with criticism and then learn to accept it? Y'know, if he really wants to change?
so yeah @ I agree, there's a racism problem in the fandom. I was actually thinking a while ago, about some fans that believe Zuko's in the right for what he said, for whatever justifications the plot has. So why have they not questioned the fact that the writers choose to write a victim of genocide be ignorant and wrong for holding onto his culture, and that he should get reprimanded for it by the prince of the nation who committed said genocide? But instead we get fan headcanons of Zuko teaching Aang how to "correctly" be a monk, by knowledge he stole from the air temples when he was still in pursuit of the avatar, intending to finish the genocide for once and for all.
The problem with Zuko's portrayed bigotry in the later season is how people focus on his feelings first and that the audience and the characters should be considerate towards him, instead of the characters on the receiving end of his comments and how they are allowed to react. How we naturally expect grace and forgiveness from them so it can be a teachable moment for Zuko, or else, if they had reacted in angry or annoyance, they simple wouldn't have been good victims. How so many of the "brilliant moments" to show Zuko still needs to unlearn his mindset has him insult the gaang while they remain deaf and don't react at all to what he's saying or doing.
But I think it would be better in the future if fans stop using a character's racism to center them in discussions, and instead think how it's good or rather necessary for the characters involved. Enough of hearing fans saying they see themselves in "redeemed" characters, and more questioning if it was worth having fans of color to go through the show with discomfort without any resolution or condemnation from the narrative.
(Just to be clear @ I'm not annoyed by your response (it's better than most), I'm actually glad cause it gave me an opportunity to talk about this.)
#and there are other instances of zuko acting out of pocket with other characters not just aang#like calling people peasant or dirty or talking down to suki and katara as 'little girl'#but i always felt unlike the b1 circumstances that show he clearly in the wrong and needs work#b3 has him repeat his actions with no consequence and now its like ok…..#maybe showing him change should have taken priority! before telling us he should rule the fn lol#this is critical to both the fandom and the show#cause its silly that they had the time to put racism in but not enough time to actually confront it#…i guess it wasn't that great of an b plot after all 😔#atla#retracing atla#zuko#racism#no fn character is exempt

the silence that had ensued shortly after he spoke was surprisingly not as deafening as barton thought it was going to be. but that kind of made sense to him, considering that things seemed to be becoming a little more civil between them, slowly but surely. barton hadn't exactly been conniving towards jervis besides throwing the occasional insult towards him and being annoyed with his guilt; which, in his case, was progress. now he knew that jervis was upset because of other things (seemingly the fact that he had to endure feeling all of the physical sensations that marty and those around him in general did) but he was at a bit of a standstill regarding how exactly he should react to that.
the fact did remain that they weren't friends, and so jervis likely wouldn't welcome any sort of attempt barton made at comforting him. or at least... this is how he thought about it. at the blank stare he'd been given, barton's lips ever-so-subtly tugged downwards into a frown. he supposed that might've been a bit uncalled for, but there was no use in crying over split milk, right? so barton only ruminated over it for a second before silently watching ravi walk away after he told jervis, ❝ you're welcome. i know you guys have had a rough day, wherever you might've been — and desserts always make me feel better. ❞ his hands were tingling now and he suddenly felt this pressure on his heart. with a bit of dread, barton soon connected the dots based on his previous experiences with this and gauged that this was because he was feeling possessive. ravi was his friend first and yet he was acting like he'd known jervis for a while.
swinging his legs back and fourth slightly to let out all of the nervous energy in his body all of a sudden, barton took to withdrawing within his mind to try to solve this. it was sort of unreasonable for him to not want jervis to be friendly with ravi; this much he believed, as he was genuinely a nice guy and just because he talked to jervis, didn't mean that he was stealing ravi away from him or anything. barton still felt the need to distract himself from this feeling, however, by pressing one of his nails into his palms. and barton was relieved to find that the pain from digging it into his skin (as unhealthy as a coping mechanism as it actually was) helped him get over it, thankfully. barton's grin was all but gone the moment his possessiveness came into play but he had an inkling that jervis probably wouldn't miss it all that much.
he could see that jervis was tense. barton finished the last of his curry and waved at one of the chefs through the window they had into the lobby, before putting up a 'two' with his fingers to tell him that he wanted another plate. the chef nodded before he committed to listening to jervis talk about his experience with discrimination against him because of his synesthesia. barton had an unreadable look on his face that might've been something in between sympathy, as well as unamusement at what he was hearing the other kids had said to jervis, ❝ oh? well, they'll get theirs one day. nobody does something as screwed-up as accusing someone of faking a condition without receiving some bad karma for it later. and a word of advice: don't even think about the people who said those things anymore. just erase them from your mind, no matter how hard it may be. because the greatest revenge sometimes is forgetting entirely about the people who've insulted you and living your life to the fullest. ❞ he stated this plainly, though he shrugged at the end as if to say ' that's just how it is sometimes ' and barton tilted his head at jervis.
❝ and i get how that can suck, but people who avoid you simply because you're different aren't worth your time. so you honestly kind of dodged a bullet in a way because they revealed their true colors to you immediately; that they were all a bunch of prejudiced jerks. i've never treated anyone like trash because they were different, though, so you don't need to worry about me. i know a thing or two about it as kids can be cruel even if you haven't done a damn thing to them. i mean, after an incident happened where i accidentally made someone fall with the fact that i already behaved differently from everyone else added into it, things just went downhill from there. i'll just leave it at that, ❞ he didn't seem particularly upset about it, as barton kept his voice level throughout his talk, though this was because barton had convinced himself that he didn't care about it anymore. that might not have necessarily been fully true however.
barton blinked absently at the other a few times, ❝ it's fine, jervis. i don't even know why you're apologizing. i can imagine it, yeah, as people always have their own opinions about things like this. even foolish opinions. mm, well, it does theoretically make you more hard to read, ❞ he reaffirmed his opinion of the other before tapping one of his nails onto the counter, a gentle tap-tap-tap sound coming from it. ❝ that's true. ❞ barton kept his reply to jervis's next statement short and sweet, while he picked up the spoon inside of his falooda, only to stop. there was something going on with jervis again. he was gripping his bowl like a vice, then closing his eyes, and this led to barton letting out a barely audible but uncertain hum.
ahh, he guessed it wouldn't kill him to be nice to jervis once more, barton thought. he pushed his falooda over to him and desperately tried to ease the feeling of all the blood rushing to his head as barton wasn't sure what to say to justify the action. but all the same, he listened to jervis and nodded, admittedly a bit flustered as he couldn't look at him if he were to say what he had in mind. ❝ mhm. anyways, i might've noticed you eyeing my falooda and so i thought i'd let you try some of it if you wanted to. besides... ahh, icecream is a good pick-me-up, or whatever. ❞
oh, god. he was being a little too awkward about this. barton just hoped that jervis wouldn't reject his offer, because that'd probably make his face feel even hotter than it already was. he really wasn't good at comforting people, but he was trying, so there's that.
If you really think all that's plaguing me is a guilty conscience right now, you clearly haven't listened to a damn thing I've said. Or you simply don't care at the moment.
Jervis gave Barton a flat stare, absently pressing his hand in the same spot as the other man's injured ribcage. Gray spots danced briefly before his eyes, the corners of his vision turning foggy, before the aroma of the soup and its bright colors provided a welcome distraction. He swallowed thickly, unfurled the paper napkin with a snap of his wrist before taking up his spoon, managing a faint, but genuine smile of gratitude. "Thanks, Ravi... and dinnae fash."
As Barton lifted a forkful of curry to his lips, Jervis felt a surge of discomfort prickling at the edges of his consciousness. The scent of spices hung heavy in the air, mingling with the faint tang of sweat and blood and dirt that clung to Barton's clothes. With each bite Barton took, Jervis felt a phantom sensation creeping up his own throat, as if he could taste the greasy residue coating the inside of his mouth. His gaze flickered between the steaming broth and Barton's plate and the glass of strawberry falooda, the vibrant colors and rich aromas bleeding into his own senses. Why did something as simple as eating have to be so damn complicated? Suppressing a shudder as Barton clasped his hands with that stupid grin, feeling the echo of those too-sharp nails raking against his own knuckles.
"Nothing asshole-ish about it," Jervis muttered as he stirred the celery and carrots and watched them swim in the rich yellow broth, mingling with the expected rice, chicken, thyme, and pepper. "Frankly, when I was so routinely accosted by those arrogant, tactless berks in my old group home and the prospective foster families as a kid once they caught on to my condition, if it wasn't outright dismissed and I wasn't accused of fabricating it... Wanting to know if I got anything out of pornography; if I was a bloody psychic; if it was all the result of ruddy pixie dust; or they essentially avoided me like the plague because it just made them uncomfortable, like it was an insult to them..." -- and here he rolled his eyes at the recollections; old wounds, the calluses had long hardened, they no longer pained him as they once had, but God, that was too much weight for a child to bear -- "... I hope you'll forgive me for being a bit technical. Not that it's any business of mine to educate you, and I'm not making any presumptions. But it can be rather lonely, as you might imagine, dealing with something like this... though, I suppose I'll give you props. I've never heard it be described as making me 'unpredictable' before."
He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to steady himself, and focused on the taste of the soup on his tongue. It was comforting, familiar, its consistency strangely reminiscent of the fish chowders from his early childhood in Bermuda. For a moment, he allowed himself to savor the flavor, letting it wash over him like a wave of nostalgia. "And if I had to venture a guess, I think my guy might warrant more scrutiny. I can't imagine it's often the GCPD has seen pins or needles being used as a weapon..."
His gloved hands fidgeted nervously as he struggled to focus on his meal, clenching tighter around the ceramic bowl as if to ground himself in its warmth. Yellow broth. Primroses, the fasteners on Paddington Bear's mackintosh, daffodils in spring, the paint we chose for Alice's nursery... not vibrant... softer, more of a pale, buttery-yellow that didn't clash with the blue carpet... the flower-pot parasol in Sylvie’s mushroom garden... His train of thought and color associations was interrupted by the faint scents of apricots and lavender suddenly drifting in the air then, like wisps of smoke, and Jervis' heart skipped a beat. He raised his eyes from his food.
Behind Barton's right shoulder, casually swinging her denim-clad legs from where she sat perched on the countertop, Sylvie's image materialized before him; her pale features and luminous gray eyes so much like Alice's framed by her thick strands of chestnut hair. A faint, bemused smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, as if she could see right through him and knew exactly what he was feeling. "Five things," she mouthed, her words like a gentle caress against his skin. Jervis closed his eyes, allowing himself to be enveloped by her presence, if only for a fleeting moment.
Always good advice.
Five things he saw: the flickering lights in the bathroom, the patterned wallpaper in the main dining hall, the gleam of Barton's silverware, the cheerful colors of the restaurant decor, the gentle sway of the ceiling fan above.
Four things he could touch: the smooth surface of the soup bowl, the rough texture of the tablecloth beneath his fingertips, the comforting weight of his gloves against his skin, the subtle vibrations of the floor beneath his feet.
Three things he heard: the soft hum of the air conditioning, the distant rumble of traffic outside, the faint strains of conversation and laughter drifting from beyond the kitchen doors.
Two things he could smell: the heady aroma of spices wafting from Barton's plate, the tang of dishwater soap.
One thing he could taste: the subtle undertones of apples and lentils in his own soup.
A slight, bittersweet smile crept at his mouth, as he listened to Barton speak of Matilda, of her mother. "Yeah... that's the thing, isn't it? There's nothing quite so endearing -- or undoing -- as a daughter." Jervis had no idea if the statement was meant purely for Barton, or directed towards himself, but there was no way he could disguise the hue of genuine understanding, of recognition, that colored his tone.
... I think I see you a bit more clearly now.
#divingdownthehole#tw: discussions of ableism.#tw: mentions of neurodivergent discrimination.#OMG did you really? well i'm glad that i was able to make you laugh lolll especially since that is exactly what i was hoping it'd do (':#but ahh now that you mention it that is even better than me just being able to make you laugh from the first sentence alone!! i'm so-#honored that i was able to make you laugh that often <33 but oh my gosh. that is honestly SUCH a perfect description of him NGL haha#now i have to send you a picture of a gleeful raccoon and ask you whether it is accurate to what you were imagining xD but the ben-#affleck meme... i can't. you've got me seriously wheezing over here JSJSJ that is amazing OMG and also very accurate.#but yessir we are!! and aww i'm so glad that you're enjoying it. thank you smmm emi 🥺 but PFFT you just made me cackle so-#hard. that meme is timeless NGL and oh no need to apologize!! it's all good my friend. don't even worry about it#i know you had surgery recently and so it's completely understandable. but honestly there's no obligation for you to reply within a-#certain time frame ever alright? so always take your time with things and goshhh yeah i cannot imagine it must be easy. but i wish-#you a speedy recovery and i hope you're feeling at least a little bit better by now ❤️#but oh my gosh. i just wanted to take a moment to talk about how barton is sooo not used to trying to comfort people that he was-#literally SO flustered whenever he did something as simple as offer him some of his falooda. like OMG am i the only one who finds that-#strangely kind of wholesome despite him being a serial killer 💀 JSJSJ

Shinso?
YES! Shinsou my beloved,,, (I'm literally writing this while in Shinsou cosplay so that tells you a lot about how much I love him)
favorite thing about them
his drive!! he is so passionate and determined to be a hero despite what everyone else says. he deserves it so much, and if the hero society weren't so biased against "non-flashy" quirks, he would be easily one of the best hero students. I also adore his design. purple sleepy boy!!!
least favorite thing about them
multiple things tbh
1. his hairstyle. bro does gravity just not exist??? please.
2. he's kind of a dick, especially in the sports festival. For someone who's faced quirk discrimination their whole life, he was awfully willing to use it on random people to get through the obstacle course. it's funky but whatevs
3. he just yells dramatically at the sun. bro you're on national television. why
favorite line
"I'll show them I've got what it takes to make it in the hero course, and then I'll become a better hero than all of you!" yesss bestie manifest it
honorable mention: "I heard you guys were impressive, but you just sound like an ass" I love a good Bakugo insult
brOTP
He would be absolute besties with Jirou. They can listen to emo music and rant about their crushes (kami and momo respectively) or just vibe together. I won't be taking criticism on this because I'm right.
alternatively, Midoriya. Shin said he wasn't here to make friends and Mido just, befriends him even harder.
OTP
ShinKami!! them,,,, the boys,,,
nOTP
Shinsou x Bakugo. No, I'm sorry. I think they'd have a friendship like Todoroki and Bakugo's, but they would make a terrible couple.
random headcanon
My favorite Shinsou head canon is that he's actually really clingy in a relationship. His primary love language is quality time.
unpopular opinion
he's not a mini Aizawa guys. Aizawa is his mentor (and father figure??) but he's not a clone. He has his own personality that isn't just Aizawa but purple. Please stop writing him as the exact same!! I beg!!
song i associate with them
Past Lives by BORNS! It's one of my faves and I found it in a ShinKami fic to begin with, so I always think of him when it plays.
favorite picture of them

I don't get why this happens in taekook community, if someone doesn't like Jimin people start judging and hating them, like Jimin has to be an angel for a taekooker. Infact a lot of taekookers shuts up people who points their dislike jimin. I don't think people are bound to like everyone. While jikookers openly hurl insults at Taehyung. God one day I saw a jikook video comment section, it's like a pattern, either hate taekook or Taehyung. Why this discrimination?
I'll be honest, this was one of the strangest things about this fandom, to me, when I first started to get involved with it -- the strangely dogmatic sense that everyone had to be OT7 first no matter what.  Maybe this is part of the kpop culture, but you're not wrong, anon: nobody has to like everyone.
None of us owe BTS anything.  They are a group of performers who make their money by entertaining people.  We're strangers to them just like they're strangers to us.  They can love ARMY without knowing each of their fans personally, and the same can be true of an individual fan loving BTS.  But just like each member of BTS wouldn't personally like every single fan they have if they were to get to know them better, each fan doesn't have to unconditionally love each member.  It's just weird to think so in my opinion.  Having said that, I personally think that being a fan of a group is going to be a lot more fun if you genuinely, you know, like the group, but that's just my opinion.
Obviously, though, there's a distinction between not particularly liking a member and being nasty and derogatory toward that member online.  The former is perfectly fine and fair and anyone who says differently is feeding into the whole cult accusation a little bit.  The latter has the potential to do real damage -- not just to the megastars on the receiving end who are millionaires and will likely never see the hateful comments, but to the other, regular people who see those comments and recognize themselves in them and internalize them.
Even if it weren't for that aspect, being hateful and intentionally hurtful is never really okay, no matter who your insults are hurling toward (unless someone did something genuinely problematic and you're calling out the behavior -- that's different), but I think we sometimes get so wrapped up in the BTS love fest that we forget the serious consequences that any kind of hateful speech can have on those who hear it (or in this case, read it).
In any case, I wouldn't call disliking a specific member discrimination (nor would I call the backlash against people disliking members discrimination either), but there are sometimes discriminatory things said when some people don't like a specific member -- that goes for Jimin and Taehyung, as I'm sure it does for other members too.
Why people feel the need to be this way, I don't know.  I've seen a lot of random people say a lot of truly disgusting things about at least the entire maknae line.  In particular there's this weird blend of sexualization mixed with queerphobia that is just downright yucky to me, and I see it all the time.
In reality, while I think it's probably more fun to like BTS if you genuinely like all of BTS (and we are supposed to be having fun, everyone -- the fun is the point!), no one is under any obligation to equally adore every member of the group, or even to like all of them.  As long as people don't say gross, generalizing, or dehumanizing things as a result of that dislike, everyone is free to not particularly care for Jimin, or Taehyung, or Jungkook, or anyone else, however they see fit.

I don't want to do this!:
Tumblr media
I absolutely hate writing about religious discrimination!
Frankly, I wish that I wasn't putting fingers to keyboard about any discrimination.
I also desperately don't want the focus to be on discrimination against everything Islamic and Muslim.
However, sadly, it's the most venomous hated that I have ever encountered, second only to racism against the black human beings of our world.
All my life I must have lived under a rock, maybe I live under a rock now, yet the vileness and outright lies that come out of those obsessed with hating all Islam and Muslims, plus anyone who stands up and says this is wrong, is obscene.
I am disgusted in the way these people respond.
I have had differing opinions with both Muslim men are women yet been addressed with respect and politeness. They are peaceful and not intimidating in any way.
Speak to a person who is anti Muslim, they refuse to listen to anything that may contradict what they want to believe, they will call you a liar and slander you. They intimidate and bully, call you names, question your mental stability, stalk your FB and target your children. The insults and illogical reasoning is unbelievable.
I am horrified that there are people like this in the world!
More horrifying still is for once I can see the appeal in hating the West.
Imagine a young Muslim man, born here, and rather then allowing him to explain what his religion means to him, to try and teach people, that hate everything about him, that he deserves to be not discriminated against, he gets told what his religion is, he is called a murder, a terrorist, a paedophile, a Mysoginist, etc. His sister is spoken to about her husband beating her, being oppressed, asked if she still has her clitorus, threatened with physical abuse, has her hijab torn off, threatened with rape, told she is a bad mother because she sells her baby girls to be raped by old men.
And no matter what they say to try and explain their actual beliefs the abuse flows. And this is from their own countrymen.
Mate, I would want them all gone too! Be honest, who wouldn't!?
Yet if they report abuse or complain about their treatment they are accused of wanting to change things. "They come here and try to change everything", is the cry from the haters!
1) There is NO law that insists that ALL women wear a Burqa in Saudi Arabia: Hijab is only compulsory for Muslim women. Anything else is a choice for those in a practicing Muslim family.
2) Women are not allowed to get an education in Saudi Arabia: I urge you to look up any TV broadcast from local Saudi Arabia telecasts. Women, in hijab, reading the news. This suggests an education. However, both men and women are encouraged to gain knowledge in Islam.
3) WTF does Saudi Arabia have to do with every other Muslim world wide, especially in Australia?
4) FGM (female genital mutilation) is an Islamic practice: Far from it! The Islamic religion urges that both men and women enjoy sex and that a man sexually pleases his wife. FGM is a tribal practice. However, MGM (male genital mutilation) has and still is widely practiced in Australia.
5) There is NO "no go" zones in Australia!: This urban myth was started by a female, Canadian Islamphobe. It was said to be proved when the police removed her from Lakemba for disturbing the peace. The police weren't working for the Muslims to enforce their "no go" zones! How ridiculous. Others tell totally unbelievable stories about women walking there and being spat on for not wearing hijab. Firstly, not all Muslimah wear hijab, even in Lakemba. Also there are numerous non-Muslims that go to these fabled areas to eat, visit, shop, do business, etc. This rumor is absolutely ludicrous!
6) Muslim women are oppressed, even here in Australia!: It is naive that there is no abusive people in any religion or walk of life, however, Muslimah are not oppressed as perf the usual course. Quiet the opposite! Historically, and as it is today, Muslimah have the freedom to do and be whatever they want, just like Muslim men. There is no distinction between what male and females can do. In fact, men are encouraged to wash their own clothes, cook and do housework. Also the Qur'an makes it very clear that the mother is the head of the household.
7) It is always claimed that Muslims want to change things: Yet, the question, "what have they actually changed?", goes unanswered. Muslims are required to live by the laws of the land, and as such, really don't want to change anything but the way they are treated. Especially how the women are treated. Our hero Islamphobes always target women and children because Muslimah are more recognizable.
8) Why are these people so threatened by the hijab or niqab?: For fuck sake it's a piece of material! It's not what's on a woman's head that oppresses her. However, who are those that want to oppress Muslimah? Muslim men or the Islamphobe? I say without hesitation, the Islamphobe! They don't ask a Muslim women how she feels, they don't ask what she may want to wear. They rarely comprehend the meaning of the hijab to a woman but rather try to twist it into some sexually perverse. They proclaim that Muslim women shouldn't wear a head covering. As Australia is a free country, with a freedom of religion and freedom of lawful individually, the real oppression and discrimination, is telling Muslim women what to wear.
9) Telling Muslim women what they are: The idea that, to Islamphobes, Muslim women are stupid and therefore, don't know that they are oppressed, would have to be the most Mysoginist slap in the face ever! All I can say is, "at least Muslim men know a woman's worth is awesome".
10) Muslim men marry girl babies of 5 to 6 years old and Muslim mothers allow it: Firstly, American is the place booming in child brides at the moment. With some states having no minimum age for marriage and also no divorce for women. Compared to Malaysian Clerics, years ago, raising the age of concent to 18. Also contrary to European/western/Christian culture, women have been granted divorce since the 700s in Islam.
11) Women wear the Burqa in Australia: This is actually one of those urban myths, started by Pauline Hanson. To see a Burqa in Australia would be very unusual. Most Australian Muslimah are from cultures that don't don the Burqa. The Burqa is an Afghan tradition and is very rare in Australia. Then why fight "ban the Burqa"? In one word, principle! It is against a woman's basic rights to tell her how much she can or can't wear, within the laws of public decency. There is also a security argument, as a Burqa is rarely worn that argument is rather moot.
12) Muslim men have lots of wives and children and just live on welfare: This is so silly that it's laughable. Once again, it is rare for Muslim men to have more than one wife these days as it is financially impractical. Also most Muslim men prefer one wife. In Australia, on average, the Muslim family consists of 2 children. With all this being said, usually Muslim men and women are educated and professional people. If not they strive to own businesses. The stupid welfare claims are unfounded and actually go against most Muslim traditions and cultures that have a hard work ethic.
13) They come here are get more welfare than Australians with no waiting period: This information can be researched on government websites. There is a waiting time for new Australians, Muslim or otherwise, which often means charitable families that sponsor them and take them in during this time. When they do receive any benefit, before getting on their feet, it is no more or less than anyone else.
14) They receive a thousand dollar iPhone and designer clothes as soon as they arrive: Is this one even worth answering? I just shake my head in disbelief!
15) Muslims have been Australians for generations: It amazes me how many people actually believe that no Muslim is Australian born. The history of the Islamic people in Australia predates white colonization. Islamic men from Indonesia travelled down and through Australia. There was intermarriage with the Indigenous peoples and even revertion to Islam by some. A more constant move to Australia, by those of the Islamic faith, started in the 1800's.
16) All Muslims are the same because they read from the same book: this is like saying that all Christian denominations are the same because they read from the same book. Most know that this is not the case.
There are many different varieties of Muslim. Yes they have the Qur'an yet addition books vary between the sects.
There are 72 different sects, numerous sects within the main sects, different traditions, different cultures, different regions, different regions, different countries and different families.
Tumblr media
As for the Qur'an: there is the subject context, further context, overall context, historical context and spiritual context. Then all the different ways it is interpreted. Also interpretation can be manipulated and cherry picked to suit an agenda or bias. This can be said of the Bible also.
Where interpretation is important is in the understanding of Arabic. To translate a language as complex as Arabic into simple English leaves the meaning truly lacking.
For example: Islam is a very sexually moral religion. Men and women are not meant to sexulise each other, There is no unsupervised dating and dressing is modest. However, it is commonly thought the men will receive a bus load of virgins to have an orgy with in paradise. However, "virgin" more correctly translates to "pure". This is a "spiritual" context and "heavenly beings/angels is probably a better translation into English.
17) Muslims want to kill all Jews and Muslims. The Qur'an tells them to kill all Christians: Unfortunately people are so off the mark on this one. Islam actually says that Muslims cannot destroy a place of worship nor hurt religious "ministers". The Qur'an refers to Christians and Jews as the "people of the book". In fact, the only other women a Muslim man is permitted to marry is either a Christian or a Jew. The wives of these two religions are also not expect to revert as they are seen as sisters to Islam. Christian and Jewish men and women are thought of as brothers and sisters to Muslims.
There is a long list of urban myth, propaganda, rumors and out right lies that are used as ammunition against Islam and Muslims.
The arrogance of the Islamphobe is to tell a Muslim what their faith is! With no other religion would a person, outside that faith, verse another in their religion.

ok this was just meant to be a silly post, but might as well get into it.
Y'know, if he really wants to change?
so yeah @survivalove I agree, there's a racism problem in the fandom.
(Just to be clear @bluewithpurplepolkadots I'm not annoyed by your response (it's better than most), I'm actually glad cause it gave me an opportunity to talk about this.)
.....okay but funny how katara, sokka, toph, and etc, all manage to argue or disagree with aang's viewpoints without taking shots at his culture unlike zuko whenever he opens his mouth

I heard my grand nephew say this why don't you argue with him and save your lives don't have me do it there's no point to his existence. Except to serve me because he's ignorant. They started arguing and figured out it's really stupid. It went round and round said there you feel better is arrogant and his dominus this old s*** and yeah he's a guy who's trying to kiss people and just disgusting fish and he's a pig and we sent away for people to come pick him up yeah. Get him off the bus I mean what what the hell am I supposed to do that you're so dumb they have to help you drive the bus for your insults threats attempts at coercion then you blame us and we have to mess you up so what good are you you're a huge piece of s*** that's what he said you just this piece of s*** and your people are trying to fight us and I thank you for the help cuz you're stupid. You're trying to act like him so what his aims and goals are not yours you cannot be in your area and you won't have your stuff at all he will I mean what the f*** is wrong with you you're so stupid Trump
Mac daddy
I got fooled a lot they run around circles and I tell people I'm fooled and nobody really believes me these days but I keep doing it. I have to tell you I'm after stuff like everyone else and then give me a hard time okay they discriminate too
Trump
They discriminate because you're taking from the wrong time you say that your father that you're their father and you squander stuff and you lose it and you're playing suck the big one and you don't hold on to stuff cuz you don't have anybody helping including your son you're a piece of dog s*** and I want you out of here your weakling you're a cursing cussing a****** and by the way you holding me here if you holding me here against my will and I want more charges pressed on you so maybe we can see exactly what it is and you're a loser cuz I haven't given you a damn thing I'm going to fire you for more companies and take them and I guess you said that to people so you can go to the movie or something and we it should warrants while you're sitting there you should all this Intel to Mac about you and it's really info and we don't tell you what it is because you say we don't have anything and the issue warrants today the issued 1 million warrants I hear, on you. Trump
Zues Hera
I got a headache and I can't stand it. I don't know what you're talking about warrants and getting fired and stuff
Trump
You don't have to know you're real supreme no matter what no matter where no matter when but we're finding it for more and if you don't show up we release warrants actually Max release warrants but we release all the information and if they don't pursue you we do and then they're forced to
Zues Hera
Hear about 200 companies to fire this fool and his people from we're getting into it right now and it's not a conglomerate and they're not all the same businesses they're just his that he started practically from scratch we're going to start with the ones that are your ideas because he doesn't care if he loses those that much and he said it a lot. You're trying to eat him and he has his Cajun eat your people that's the price you lose your protection because he has to and there's a lot of them dying right now nearby right up the street in Port Charlotte about 500,000 have died thus far since you left the city limits and we kill everybody at the place before you got there that resort that's why they weren't there. And those warrants are coming into effect now and you're going to be pulled out of punta Gorda until you're done you're such a huge idiot always ever seen anybody else this bad performance you reveal everything of yours and Max you tell a whole bunch of people your people get killed off and you think you've won something and we're getting bigger and bigger and we have to explain it every time no it's how do you figure it out or you don't. We're moving into your spots in your cities and we're taking them over and we're taking all the stuff below and moving into your positions in Florida and not as you and we're taking over tons of stuff and macca's too and you're not coming in none of you more like you're so piss poor but wow this guy ruined you an opportunity to live not to mention have stuff. There's several other things to say to you John remillard you're a piece of dirt and you turn on your own people and we never trusted you and we don't trust you and we won't and you just say stuff and trying to convince other people and you terrible at it you are the worst person we've ever seen it's almost like you're smart enough to get around everything see smart enough to get around you're able to f up everything that you come in contact with today you're going back out there to the Midwest for planes trains and automobiles and yeah you left the other day and you left the other day for Tommy boy which wrapped up after you went into the grave today. He came out and he was a mess and he was Haggard and useless and he tried doing after our son in the movie theater and some moved away from him and he told Ken to move. Ken moved. There's a huge bunch of assholes here but these two are stupid Terry and John remillard. What issuing warrants on them here meaning we have information at the max will want we're doing it now. Trump's areas are dwindling to nothing and stuff's going fast and is still a ton of it there hopefully every house of all of his guys are stuffed with with things and lots of gold and you wonder why we're telling you why we need cover and he's about 1/3 left from what he was yesterday which is not a whole lot and he sent in a huge army to try and get to punta Gorda and they got wiped out three times but it's part of a bigger army but he's getting wiped out. And by midnight I suspect he won't have any troops left globally and his clothing is going to be erased and he's still smirking and smacking the lips and saying is the greatest thing I did this to that person and this to that person so we're going to fire him for more companies until he has nothing you'll start with the ones that are my son's inventions are ours and his ideas and I have 200 companies half of them are sons ideas and inventions and the other half have hours in them but about 70% are our ideas that we used against the realm of his and you'll see why this is how you use it for a sleep but this guy's a huge idiot he didn't even use it wrong the right way. And out of those 200 companies we're going to mention four or five out of each 100 and of course that sun says he built on our foundation and you learn from us we went to berserk in this little idiot he was doing it and this guy spontaneously come busted inside he's a complete moron.
*what company did our son help create he thought of all he was on Haskell Street and John remillard was listening cuz he got to report that something was happening. It's the only needed a way to clean his shop. The place is a mess so you needed this organizational system but they already have it he said it's not necessary and I said Kevin was assigned later to go through it which is true we did invent something else and it had to do with a wheelchair no, this is invented a few things driving around so we know what he said but that's the company and it was a huge deal back then tons of people used it and they couldn't do it or hated it that's right it's the Rubik's cube and he named it at himself too it's after someone who makes puzzle boxes and that was John reborn you know and they fought, it started out right don't use my name it's not my invention then the guy said it's mine cuz my name's on it and someone stupid it was my name he's probably right but he's Satanist in a Mac and we don't like him so they got no war and Mr Rubik's class but he took a big huge chunk out of trump and for trying to steal something it's a toy I didn't really sell that much it's sold a lot but it's not definitely not worth it and he actually lost power enough for people to see hes an idiot. We're going for this toy I'm going to sue him for everything's worth because he gave our son nothing and took teeny pennies and we're going to also take over Mattel and he's set up for an appointment now and we're going to call him to a meeting and fire him. I'm going to make sure that he knows that he's fired she gets up usually and he says which way is the door cuz I have to remember how to come back in what we say is you're not coming back in you're fired he turns around and says I'm going to come in back by force so we have him arrested. Each and every time it says something stupid. Now is ranting and raving and will call the mental hospital if he keeps doing that or no if he ever does that now he needs I'm going to listen to the stupid s*** head. This is a huge toy company it's Toys r Us with like half the toys includes action figures and water toys sports toys electronics too thats matel that makes electronics.
*you go ahead and put the store into our quiver that's right it's kids r Us and Toys r Us both at the same time. The meeting is tonight at 8:00 p.m. Eastern standard Time 70 ever used to standard Time for the big toy company mentioned above Mattel
*the fire Johnny Lord & company from 7:00 subsiduators of Mattel and in sequential order as to when they were formed
*the several other companies each of these are related to our son and inventions
*Dyson vacuums and many other products that used his vortex and their leaf blowers they're sand vacuums vacuums for treasure vacuums for lost gold it's even a vacuum in space uses the vacuum in a stack electrical charge and pull stuff in from miles away. We're going after him for this because he rubbed it in our son's face you thought it was really cool and he also influenced Tommy f to do the cyclone so I could say it was him and then several of the things that really pissed us off about it he has our son saying it so her son says it and says remember this one he tries to threaten us with it right now let me know where your stuff is that you want to try regarding this it just keeps doing it the sun says he should pay for this one cuz this is when Big mouth started telling me and you got nothing it's just very aggravating cuz it's condescending and is mean actually saved our people they need to pay and Mac is on the line he says this is when we're going to help pursue is sitting there telling him and telling him and he says I realize you did that now what's your problem they didn't say anything you just kept on saying it so we saw it his reaction was to start doing stuff to him and he started having people sent after him and the guys getting his ass beaten and he keeps opening his stupid mouth about it about the whole thing it is ridiculous I don't think that he's a huge steamy a****** I don't think we should ever let him do anything about anything at all I don't know why he's roaming around with any hardware or any company or any money it's like everyone's telling me this is the guy it's this huge sour piece of poop about everything no matter what you do so he started attacking him he's invading now with everybody and he really is trying and they're getting wiped out because you're really incompetent we went down there and drove over all the boats and really this machine can handle it and I'm just going to keep doing that cuz it takes too much energy to shoot them and remove them and we have a lot of troops now that are spare and free but wow what an a****** they're going to be out for real and the whole army will be gone shortly at the rates are going mac daddy says. And we agree so firing him from this company. It's called Dyson and it's a vacuum cleaner and other products and it's unique it uses a vortex to suck instead of just a pump and it was our son's idea and we have one that works better and we've been selling it and he's been going out of business and we've been taking over his factories so tonight at 9:00 p.m. Eastern standard time we're going to take the company over and take tons of stuff from him huge huge huge piles of stuff and we're going to use it all and we're going to change the name and sell his vacuum cleaner and make the money and other products because it's not his. And the max said they'd help make an issue warrants on him for a plagiarism and thievery and more regarding this invention. They want to know how it works but they know how they figured it out. That was my daddy that last paragraph and he's really interested in going after it and supposedly a swedish company so to make it nice and easy and probably going to court and go in the public eye and the guy needs a lesson so I'm going to grab all the stuff on some tacked I'm sending huge units now. And yeah say stop and fight over the bridge everyone leaves them behind so ridiculous scene and so many people can't stand him.
*it's a huge invention it's for cars that's when you break down it's that little triangle it's a kid and it has several triangles and some other things so if you have an emergency you put it out there and people go around you it has instructions and sold like madness and still does it's very safe for people it's in shape of a triangle and has other things you need if you have an accident or a breakdown and there's something to have emergency phones and all sorts of stuff it would be a multi-billionaire because he just live on the residuals and they're going to let him because he was helping and and John riverlord stepped in the way so they're going to go after him again. I was happy when it invented this and the reason he did is he saw trucks doing it truckers have these triangles and he said it's a recognized symbol and it made it the international symbol for broken down vehicle and to slow down and there are so many cops that prison for it and you know we need to sell to get money there doesn't have anything so I'm going to bring them to court over it.
... we've got a lot of cases to Superior Court and father and mother from South America want to announce it yes it's vital and goddess wife and it stated it correctly for about a week or two and then this idiot next door started messing with it and we sued him for almost all the companies that he was running just just for some stupid stuff like that and for threatening our son and we will move on here and then we'll get back to the subject of the cases that went in today and what happened it's interesting and the idiot should be in trouble now with the doj and he is but they have to get more very huge problem themselves they sort of don't want to the max going to force it. Anderson says it I was desperate already and you made me more desperate John Reema Lord so he did need a place just to live and you made it impossible so you're dead I'm sending people out I'm putting a hit on you and you're going to see it I got to know it's us having you killed you're a dead man. Our son said that last three sentences, I'm going to vacuum up now and get people in here it's true too just started making his life worse and worse and you're still doing it I'm going to start pummeling that piece of s***
*it's another company that the idiot took an invention from our son to open up there's a way to clean your boots no but he's tried that and you sucked it trying to remember and couldn't figure it out. It's something else to do with cabinets yeah that's right it's that European hinge and her son designed it and that thing is world famous and he deserves a piece of it and he wants Raphael and Goddess wife to get our European mother and fathers together to help work with Thor and Freya I'm getting money from that. And that says enough French you're terrible at it and he knows it but we want to congratulate her because this is a huge one those damn hinges never work they always fall apart he said I know what it needs it needs something that's better anchored and strapped in and you need help open and closing it or it shakes the screws and that's what he said at first and I remember it clearly in this design is intense I've never known anyone who can design something like that and doesn't have a mechanical engineers degree and John remillard was astounded too and he's the a****** took it and we want all the money back every single penny that he made. And your shower rings are his idea too your pig and now he's not your father you're an idiot just a loser stuck to him so we're going to court with you John remillard . and that was Mac daddy. On this one you requested our European mothers and fathers help and that his mother and father from Europe maternal and god and goddess wife assist and we agree it's a huge deal for him because they used their name in vain too and said someone else invented it and her son knew it he got mad about it. No he's working some annuals to try and get money from it and nobody would let him do anything and start cursing you out flipping you off telling you you're done and you smoke really badly and he said we usually kill people for a lot less and we went out and start killing your idiots you said you didn't care and you tried to do stuff and you lost now I'm going to take your people out for what they're saying. You're a bunch of cackling little f*** you don't deserve anything and you don't look anything like that soldier that you play you're using makeup and and using spice and all sorts of stuff you don't have any power you got killed by your own people again they went through a group like nothing the girl killed most of them. She got home fine just said she was threatening you they're going to waste your dumbass everyone should she's groups going out looking for you in Florida you're a piece of s*** and we don't want to talk to you now I'm going after your group here they're sending people out to go after you pull you in all your peoples. I want to see him get some money from these two inventions this idiot hassled our son because of them hassle him thinking that he let go of the other ones and he didn't and it was doing it for a purpose so he thinks he's set this hook and you didn't set any hook they didn't say press it into whatever he's wearing a parallel and you're stupid and boy did you piss us off with those two and you're going to court about it as a matter of fact we're going to fire you from a whole bunch of companies they have to do with a hinge cooling all your cabinet companies including reborn cabinets so you bought from the max and we're going to dismantle it if you don't want that company name out there and you're a pig.
You also forced our son out of many jobs, and you blame the company and we sued them and they pay but I couldn't get to him now what we're going to do is bring a lawsuit against you they have reasons for doing it and they already went to court and they don't have to go back. But we're presenting against you for doing what you did to him I'm going to see you for a lot of money and right here and you're holding him against his will and someone else's apartment and you're bothering the s*** out of him and you're trying to take it over from the landlord and we're going to say that because there's a scam name for it too it's like third-party rental or sometimes s*** and we're going to go after hard. He thought we were suing for it now and maybe a little but it's a different thing.
*there's another company we're going to sue for and it is an invention to his is called Halo I kept saying it too they said you're invented that why not sue for it he invented the Halo games so we're going to sue both and they're not really a company of no. We're going to do that too have kju eat your idiots in front of you it better before and you need to see it that's way to shut you up yeah those weren't Whales well some of them were some where some weren't. . Wilson here in the head cuz your big mouth and you're a liar. You didn't hire me anyone like who you're talking about. As a matter of fact you're going after you right now kind of seeing this stuff. Hello is the world's famous product saved a lot of people in boats tremendous amount of fires and Halo on a cruise ship is individual for each room and save so many people and they are simply resuscitated huge numbers of people saved and buildings and special facilities projects type thing while it's huge

The "no the Communist countries weren't living hell on earth you fucking idiot" starter pack.
http://www.latimes.com/world/la-fg-c1-black-russian-americans-20141119-story.html >The experience of African Americans who traveled to or settled in Russia was overwhelmingly positive, descendants said. In turn, they made valuable contributions to Soviet society, said Blakely, the professor. Agricultural specialists helped devise different uses for materials, such as rope made from hemp. They also helped develop plant species that were cheaper to cultivate. Their contributions provided a boost to the Soviet economy.
>Tynes, who was sent to various Soviet republics to teach people how to raise ducks and other waterfowl, became a nationally recognized expert on poultry. Golden helped develop a cotton industry in Uzbekistan. And the African Americans introduced Russians to blues and jazz.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1221064/Oppressive-grey-No-growing-communism-happiest-time-life.html >When people ask me what it was like growing up behind the Iron Curtain in Hungary in the Seventies and Eighties, most expect to hear tales of secret police, bread queues and other nasty manifestations of life in a one-party state.
>They are invariably disappointed when I explain that the reality was quite different, and communist Hungary, far from being hell on earth, was in fact, rather a fun place to live.
>The communists provided everyone with guaranteed employment, good education and free healthcare. Violent crime was virtually non-existent.
>But perhaps the best thing of all was the overriding sense of camaraderie, a spirit lacking in my adopted Britain and, indeed, whenever I go back to Hungary today. People trusted one another, and what we had we shared.
https://libcom.org/history/black-bolshevik-autobiography-afro-american-communist >In the Soviet Union, remnants of national and racial prejudices from the old society were attacked by education and law. It was a crime to give or receive direct or indirect privileges, or to exercise discrimination because of race or nationality. Any manifestation of racial or national superiority was punishable by law and was regarded as a serious political offense, a social crime.
>During my entire stay in the Soviet Union, I encountered only one incident of racial hostility. It was on a Moscow streetcar. Several of us Black students had boarded the car on our way to spend an evening with our friend MacCloud. It was after rush hour and the car was only about half filled with Russian passengers. As usual, we were the objects of friendly curiosity. At one stop, a drunken Russian staggered aboard. Seeing us, he muttered (but loud enough for the whole car to hear) something about “Black devils in our country.”
>A group of outraged Russian passengers thereupon seized him and ordered the motorman to stop the car. It was a citizen’s arrest, the first l had ever witnessed. “How dare you, you scum, insult people who are the guests of our country!”
>What then occurred was an impromptu, on-the-spot meeting, where they debated what to do with the man. 1 was to see many of this kind of “meeting* during my stay in Russia.
>It was decided to take the culprit to the police station which, the conductor informed them, was a few blocks ahead. Upon arrival there, they hustled the drunk out of the car and insisted that we Blacks, as the injured parties, come along to make the charges. At first we demurred, saying that the man was obviously drunk and not responsible for his remarks. “No, citizens,* said a young man (who had done most of the talking), “drunk or not, we don’t allow this sort of thing in our country. You must come with us to the militia (police) station and prefer charges against this man*
>The car stopped in front of the station. The poor drunk was hustled off and all the passengers came along. The defendant had sobered up somewhat by this time and began apologizing before we had even entered the building. We got to the commandant of the station. The drunk swore that he didn’t mean what he’d said. “I was drunk and angry about something else. I swear to you citizens that I have no race prejudice against those Black gospoda (gentlemen).*
>We actually felt sorry for the poor fellow and we accepted his apology. We didn’t want to press the matter. “No,* said the commandant, “we’ll keep him overnight. Perhaps this will be a lesson to him.”
https://link.springer.com/article/10.2307/3342145?no-access=true >This study compared capitalist and socialist countries in measures of the physical quality of life (PQL), taking into account the level of economic development. The World Bank was the principal source of statistical data for 123 countries (97 percent of the world's population). PQL variables included: 1) indicators of health, health services, and nutrition (infant mortality rate, child death rate, life expectancy, population per physician, population per nursing person, and daily per capita calorie supply); 2) measures of education (adult literacy rate, enrollment in secondary education, and enrollment in higher education); and 3) a composite PQL index. Capitalist countries fell across the entire range of economic development (measured by gross national product per capita), while the socialist countries appeared at the low-income, lower-middle-income, and upper-middle-income levels. All PQL measures improved as economic development increased. In 28 of 30 comparisons between countries at similar levels of economic development, socialist countries showed more favorable PQL out-comes.
http://articles.latimes.com/1986-06-07/local/me-10010_1_socialist-countries >Socialist countries out-performed capitalist countries in nearly every area, according to the study by Howard Waitzkin, UCI professor of medicine and social sciences, and Shirley Cereseto, professor emeritus of sociology at Cal State Long Beach. The study, which looked at infant and child death rates, life expectancy, the availability of doctors and nurses, nutrition, literacy and other educational factors, is in the current issue of the American Journal of Public Health.
>The study did not include the United States or other high-income capitalist countries in the comparisons because there were no equivalent socialist countries, the researchers said.
>While the quality of life appeared to increase with the wealth of the country, socialist or capitalist, the differences between the two categories were most "profound" in comparing the low-income countries, according to the report.
>Public health and education provided in the low-income socialist system "seem to overcome some of the grueling deprivations of poverty," according to the report. While wealthier capitalist countries have "enjoyed the fruits of public health and educational improvements," the poorer capitalist countries provide inadequate health and educational services, the report said.
>"Our findings indicate that countries with socialist political-economic systems can make great strides toward meeting basic human needs, even without extensive economic resources," Waitzkin and Cereseto wrote. "When much of the world's population suffers from disease, early death, malnutrition and illiteracy, these observations take on a meaning that goes beyond cold statistics."
[...]
>In interviews Friday, Waitzkin and Cereseto acknowledged that socialist countries have problems in other areas.
>"But they don't have starvation," said Cereseto, a retired professor who lives in Anaheim.
>The socialist countries demonstrate that "even under conditions of poverty, a national coherent plan to deal with public health and education can make a marked impact," Waitzkin said.
[...]
>Socialist countries in each level of development had infant mortality and child death rates two to three times lower than the corresponding capitalist countries, according to the study. Socialist countries consistently showed higher numbers of health professionals per capita than capitalist countries at equivalent economic levels.
>Waitzkin said he can only speculate as to why the socialist countries fared better, but believes that socialist countries consider health care "a basic human right. It is an issue of basic human entitlement," he said. They institute public health programs, immunizations, prenatal and perinatal care, provide proper sanitation and assure adequate nutrition, he said.
>"Their priorities are in that direction," Cereseto said. "The first thing a country does when it becomes socialist is improve the health care and education and feed the people. . . . There are other things they don't do well, but this is their goal, to feed their people and get them health care and education."
>The low-income capitalist countries "do atrociously" in those areas, Cereseto said. Even in the middle-income capitalist nations, there are huge gaps in the quality of life for the haves and have-nots, Waitzkin said.
>"Finding doctors and affording health care, all you have to do is go to Mexico or Africa to see this problem," he said. "There is a small population of very wealthy who are able to buy medical care but the rest do not have access to preventive or curative care, or basic things like sanitation and proper nutrition," Waitzkin said.
>Capitalist countries can learn from the study, the researchers said.
[...]
>One public health observer, who asked not to be named because he had not fully reviewed the study, agreed that socialist countries such as Cuba and North Korea tend to provide more uniform health and education services, while they suffer in production and wealth. But the observer questioned whether the study might be skewed by classifying the Soviet Union as upper-middle-income, because the country is more developed than many of the capitalist nations in the same category.
>Waitzkin and Cereseto foresee that their study will produce controversy, but said there is a dearth of hard data comparing socialism to capitalism.
>"One of the great problems in this country is assumptions made about capitalism and socialism are rhetorical and not based on evidence," Waitzkin said. "We hope to stimulate more data comparing, to move away from the rhetoric."
>Said Cereseto: "I know some don't like to hear that the socialist countries do anything good. And there are a lot of bad things. But to print only the bad things and avoid the good things puts into question our freedom of knowledge."
https://www.cam.ac.uk/research/news/imf-loans-%E2%80%9Cstrongly-linked%E2%80%9D-to-tuberculosis
>The rapid spread of tuberculosis in eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union has been fuelled by the economic policies of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), a new study has found.
>The Cambridge University-led study reveals that IMF loan programmes are "strongly associated" with large increases in tuberculosis incidence and deaths, costing tens of thousands of lives every year and producing hundreds of thousands of new tuberculosis cases.
>Researchers measured the relationship between tuberculosis and IMF loans in 21 countries in the region, dating back to the early 1990s. They found that countries subject to IMF programmes experienced a surge in tuberculosis death rates of at least 16.6% - equivalent to more than 100,000 additional deaths. Had countries not participated in the programmes, or been supported by other lenders, the rates would have declined by at least eight to 10%.
>IMF lending programmes demand that countries meet strict economic targets as a condition of the loans. Doctors have warned that these stipulations might lead to reduced government funding for health services such as hospitals and clinics, undermining the fight against diseases such as tuberculosis. This claim has never been supported with hard evidence until now.
>"This report suggests that the IMF has its priorities backwards," David Stuckler, a Cambridge sociologist who led the study, said. "If we really want to create sustainable economic growth, we need first to ensure that we have taken care of people's most basic health needs."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolutionary_Catalonia
>Initially, the newly collectivized factories encountered various problems. CNT member Albert Pérez-Baró describes the initial economic confusion:
After the first few days of euphoria, the workers returned to work and found themselves without responsible management. This resulted in the creation of workers' committees in factories, workshops and warehouses, which tried to resume production with all the problems that a transformation of this kind entailed. Owing to inadequate training and the sabotage of some of the technicians who remained many others had fled with the owners the workers' committees and other bodies that were improvised had to rely on the guidance of the unions.... Lacking training in economic matters, the union leaders, with more good will than success, began to issue directives that spread confusion in the factory committees and enormous chaos in production. This was aggravated by the fact that each union... gave different and often contradictory instruction.[14]
>In response to these problems, the Generalitat of Catalonia, backed by the CNT approved a decree on "Collectivization and Workers' Control" on 24 October 1936. Under this decree all firms with more than 100 workers were to be collectivized and those with 100 or less could be collectivized if a majority of workers agreed.[15][16][17] All collectivized enterprises were to join general industrial councils, which would be represented in a decentralized planning agency, the Economic Council of Catalonia. Representatives of the Generalitat would be appointed by the CNT to these regional councils.[18] The goal of this new form of organization would be to allow economic planning for civilian and military needs and stop the selfishness of more prosperous industries by using their profits to help others. However these plans for libertarian socialism based on trade unions was opposed by the socialists and communists who wanted a nationalized industry, as well as by unions which did not want to give up their profits to other businesses.[19] Another problem faced by the CNT was that while many collectivized firms were bankrupt, they refused to use the banks because the financial institutions were under the control of the socialist UGT. As a result of this, many were forced to seek government aid, appealing to Juan Peiró, the CNT minister of industry. Socialists and Communists in the government however, prevented Peiró from making any move which promoted collectivization.[20]
>After the initial disruption, the unions soon began an overall reorganization of all trades, closing down hundreds of smaller plants and focusing on those few better equipped ones, improving working conditions. In the region of Catalonia, more than seventy foundries were closed down, and production concentrated around twenty four larger foundries.[21] The CNT argued that the smaller plants were less efficient and secure. In Barcelona, 905 smaller beauty shops and barbershops were closed down, their equipment and workers being focused on 212 larger shops.[21]
>Although there were early issues with production in certain instances, however, Emma Goldman attested that industrial productivity doubled almost everywhere across the country, with agricultural yields increased "30-50%".[22]
>Anarchic communes often produced more than before the collectivization. The newly liberated zones worked on entirely libertarian principles; decisions were made through councils of ordinary citizens without any sort of bureaucracy. (The CNT-FAI leadership was at this time not nearly as radical as the rank and file members responsible for these sweeping changes.)
>As Eddie Conlon wrote in a publication for the Workers' Solidarity Movement:
If you didn't want to join the collective you were given some land but only as much as you could work yourself. You were not allowed to employ workers. Not only production was affected, distribution was on the basis of what people needed. In many areas money was abolished. People come to the collective store (often churches which had been turned into warehouses) and got what was available. If there were shortages rationing would be introduced to ensure that everyone got their fair share. But it was usually the case that increased production under the new system eliminated shortages.
In agricultural terms the revolution occurred at a good time. Harvests that were gathered in and being sold off to make big profits for a few landowners were instead distributed to those in need. Doctors, bakers, barbers, etc. were given what they needed in return for their services. Where money was not abolished a 'family wage' was introduced so that payment was on the basis of need and not the number of hours worked.
Production greatly increased. Technicians and agronomists helped the peasants to make better use of the land. Modern scientific methods were introduced and in some areas yields increased by as much as 50%. There was enough to feed the collectivists and the militias in their areas. Often there was enough for exchange with other collectives in the cities for machinery. In addition food was handed over to the supply committees who looked after distribution in the urban areas.[23]

"...I also notice that many people who identify as a different gender do so in an attempt to escape negative associations with their original gender. Female people transition to escape associations with things like femininity, weakness, stupidity, and female oppression in general. Male people transition to escape associations with masculinity, aggression, and the idea that they are privileged or that they contribute to female oppression."
Well...no, they don't. Trans people are complicated, but you can't just "Become a woman to escape your part in the patriarchy." mostly because in order to become trans you have to accept that you're queer now and that queer people are placed below women in the patriarchal hierarchy of giving a shit. But, also a significant part of gender is what makes you comfortable and a truly cisgender person is not going to be "okay" as the opposite gender. Society is too strongly dichotomous. The messaging is powerful, it drives people to "pick a side" and if you leave that side you're just going to be miserable because it won't match what your brain thinks you are. In other words, becoming the opposite gender to escape your assigned gender's caveats is just going to give you dysphoria unless you're trans, in which case the whole gender is a caveat.
The idea of trans men doing this in particular is apparently a relatively common one in TERF spaces, and I understand your concern, but these men are happier this way. And believe me when I say, being a man is no picnic. We, as women, have different struggles because of how we are perceived by those around us, but (please don't get mad yet) it's not at all fair to say that there is no discrimination against men, because they are also generalized for that perception, it just hasn't been as disempowering and infantilizing historically. (okay now you can get mad) It's only recently become an issue for them now that women are approaching comparable(-at-the-least) footing so that we can really see the difference in expectation.
For trans men in particular, the idea being expressed here is a pretty big example of discrimination against them even though it's subtly rooted in internalized misogyny. Saying that trans men are these scared little girls who left their femininity to escape the pressure of the patriarchy and that they need to be brought home like prodigal sons (or daughters i guess) is...infantilizing. It's saying that they are not capable of making this decision, and with as much thought and determination as it takes to finally let yourself give in to the particular fulfilment that trans people desire, knowing the physical and social side-effects that it tends to bring (which we all do)... Respectfully, it's hard not to be insulted when we hear this rhetoric.
We're not lost or misguided or running from our assigned genders. We're finally becoming happy with ourselves. And to do it, we have to mark ourselves as oddities in our society: most of us will never have the physicality we desire, because we just weren't born the way we wish we were. And we can't do much about that yet aside from certain medical treatments (if the individual is comfortable with them), but we--both trans and cis people--can recognize someone's right to behave and be treated as if they were born that way. The only thing we seem to be afraid of is how people will react when they find out that we're not "like them". But it doesn't have to be that way. We don't have to be rejects. People just have to respect what we prove about society. And that means changing the way you use "Man" and "Woman." It's in the interest of preserving human life, at the very least.
Think of it as "flattening the curve", but for trans suicide statistics.
Unlike the other TERFs, you don't really seem...rabid. You might not even be a TERF. So, I hope you're willing to approach this in good faith. You say you're sympathetic to people with dysphoria. This is a good way to express that sympathy. It's in the best interest of a lot of people who are in a lot of pain. You're the first bit of opposition I've seen so far who might actually understand that. So I hope you're willing to consider it.
@itsonly430
Tumblr media
I wouldn't.
You can't feel like a woman as much as you can desire to reflect certain traits considered feminine by our society. But no one is an embodiment of that concept because its ideas are fluid and usually assigned as needed.
It's all based on vibes and comfort. If you're uncomfortable calling yourself something other than a woman, then, well, that makes you a woman.
It's nobody else's decision, and it's not worth losing sleep over.
