No, no this is very interesting. I agree with you that Vlad sees himself above  human and ghosts (and interesting comparison to Danny who arguably sees himself as below both) but the idea of him not realizing that he’s becoming more and more ghostly. Could also somewhat explain his character degradation across the series as he became more fixated on Danny. As his obsession deepened, he lost touch somewhat with his human ability to multitask, to logic through things and meaningfully process emotions.
Danny was the one thing he couldn’t reliably control and it ate at him so he went to extreme lengths to get that control not realizing he was spiraling further and further from humanity. Vlad was already considered weird, but he’s a billionaire, they’re supposed to be weird right? As he steps outside his castle and interacts with more people, they find themselves deeply unsettled with how Not Right Masters acts. Vlad and possibly Danny to an extent are unaware of how inhuman they come across. At least Danny has friends and loved ones to pull him back from leaning too heavily into that side of himself. Vlad has no one and down, down, down the rabbit hole he goes.
I never really thought about it before, but it's so incredibly pathetic that Vlad's modus operandi for much of the show is just "humiliate a 14 yo"
It really is, I'm not a big fan of Eye for an Eye just because of the silly prank war thing but there is something about it that remarks on Danny and Vlad's relationship.
I think I said somewhere else that Vlad acts more ghost than human and Danny is the opposite. Vlad fell totally victim to his obsession (control) and didn't really have anyone to keep him more human. So while normal people would look at Danny (a minor) and Vlad (a middle aged billionaire) having a deep feud as weird, its probably less weird to Vlad who views him as a ghostly challenger. Danny both is (when he wants to mock him) and isn't (when he wants to beat him half to death) a child to him. I lost where I was going with this.
