This scene is so heartbreaking. Here Toji is telling himself that it doesn't matter, he doesn't care. Yet if you look at his face here, he looks lost, vulnerable, guilt ridden. He's basically lying to himself. He knows he cares about Megumi but is forcing himself to not care.

This episode made it clear that deep down he REALLY cared for his son. He was basically lying to himself after confirming the deal with his uncle.

He knew Megumi would have been treated better judging by how elated Naobito acted. But it still felt wrong to him.

Also Takehito Koyasu (Toji's VA) did an amazing job with the tone shift from indifference to vulnerable, when he realized it was his son.

You can see the relief in his face when he realizes that Megumi is not under the Zenin clan. He's smiling. He's glad that his son is in better condition. And then killed himself cause if he stays, he'd hurt Megumi as ogami's spell was still intact.

It was really a heart touching scene.

Toji wasn't perfect but nobody could claim he didn't love his son.
