ok so i was really waiting for someone to gif the mika/jules scene at the end of 21x02 cause i unfortunately do not know how and i wanted to reblog it badly so ig a screenshot will suffice for now. ahhhhhhhh. it was such a short scene but it was!! so much!! to me!!

this was so soft??? them coming back to mika's house wearing civvies so they were together after work? the song in the background was so good. they were obviously holding hands or something before that. and jules stopping her for a moment before they're heading inside. the forehead touch. the way they were about to kiss before they heard Kwan playing video games (so it was obviously late). I'll forgive Kwan for the blocking cause my boy is Going Through It and I did love that they joined to keep him company, and mika helping jules beat him?? GOD!! 🥺

i love them sm!! why are they giving this to me now when midori is about to leave the show. i should not get invested in her and jules. but alas i fear it is too late. idk there is just something so sweet about them :(

btw i started the one piece liveaction and its so cute and fun... i rly appreciate the amt of budget put into it like the sets and costumes look amazing?? and i love how unapologetically colorful and over the top the costumes/hair etc... weekly dunmesh ep post here to say that as one of the eps that didn't follow their usual formula I loved this one to bits 😭 pacing felt just right, didn't feel that rushed to me (tho maybe that's bc I kept goin back to watch more details lol) and the canaries and yaads voices in sub are all really really good

During their confrontation in season 1 episode 8, Shadowsan accuses Coach Brunt of being soft on Carmen. Interestingly, instead of denying, she deflects, saying "we were all soft on Black Sheep before she betrayed us and took a new name".

This lulls the viewer into a false sense of security because she doesn't refute it. Combined with her previous affection for Carmen and her discretion all season long, this makes you believe she's not a threat to Carmen.

Yet she says "we were soft before". A subtle way to imply she's not anymore... As shown in the very next episode.

normally for otsukimi kozue watches the moon with a telescope. maybe she'll invite kaho and ginko-san this year! ginko-san is interested in traditional events, so she thinks she'll be interested in otsukimi. but kaho... gets sleepy easily at night... maybe she'll stay awake if they make dango... since its kaho surely rabbit shaped odango would be best... but knowing kaho, she'll think they're too cute to be eaten...!

the funniest thing about this post getting notes is i literally tagged it as ‘the queer experience is not a monolith’ then the notes are full of people commenting like ‘yeah weird barbie is for the lesbians and stereotypical barbie is for the aroaces!!’

meanwhile my friend and i are literally both bi

plagued by thoughts of barbie and queerness

specifically after my friend and i went to see it and were discussing it and i brought up the obvious queer coding she said ‘oh yeah weird barbie’ and i went ‘oh. no? stereotypical barbie??’

and when we unpacked it further i realised that she’d seen weird barbie as inherently queer bc of the way she’d been ostracised and called names that she made her own in time and could never fit in with the other barbies because of who she was and how she looked? and i saw stereotypical barbie as queer because of her lack of attraction to the people she was meant to be attracted to, liking them but never able to do so in the way they liked her. of being expected to act and be certain ways because of how she looked and the life she lived but not really wanting those things

honestly i don’t really have a point with this it’s just been ceaselessly rattling around in my lil brain
