the great khans would probably find the way jackals deal with elders who cant keep up with the group or do much work anymore super fucked up. best case scenario if these ancient jackals with failing health can still do anything for the followers they get abandoned at the nearest outpost but if not they get to pick where they die, maybe even get a last meal out of their family then left behind. worst case scenario the family is doing bad and a lot of members are sick so they end up being traded to the vipers as snake food for medicine.
