#the oxygen mask is living in the imperial core. sut da fuk up#i’ve seen the analogy reemerge as the catchphrase of the most shamelessly self-centered and cruel chauvinists on the planet#they view principled opposition to an ongoing genocide in our names as antagonistic to their domestic policy concerns#but try to soften it by implying they just need to address the more pressing issues at home first#as if they weren’t tweeting ‘make politics boring again’ last fucking week#in other words. lower the rhetoric so i can ignore the mass human sacrifice necessary to maintain my living standard#as long as civil rights are being dismantled under a democrat president who only mentions them when it’s time to fundraise again#because on top of being evil i am incredibly unbelievably gullible
