It's 1AM, and you're hungry, so what better place to go than the convenience store down the block?
Tumblr media
"I'm hungry."
The sheets rustled.
Caleb shifted onto his side to look at you, head resting in his palm, eyebrows raised. You could see the way his eyes raked over you appreciatively for a moment, almost as if seeing you in a new light again, almost as if he hadn't been all over you just a couple of minutes ago.
With his free hand, he reached out to tuck an awry strand of hair behind your ear. It was a soft gesture.
yet when he spoke, there was a laugh to his voice. "You're hungry?"
You whined. "Not that kind of hungry! Like, actually hungry! Come onnnnnn. Aren't you?"
"Baby, it's past midnight. Aren't you tired? You should be a good girl and get some rest—"
Despite the phrase deliberately used—you were sure—to bring butterflies to your stomach, you promptly gave him a playful shove. "Well, I'm not gonna be able to sleep if I'm hungry, anyway. So your attempts at persuading me are void!"
To make a point, you sat up and crosses your arms, looking at him expectantly.
An impasse, of sorts.
The two of you looked at each other, silent, a few seconds—
Caleb was the first to relent.
"Alright, alright, we'll get some food. There's that convenience store down the block, that enough?" He sat up along with you and slipped out of bed, trodding towards his closet to throw you one of his sweaters. "It'll be cold out, so wear that for a while. Just a lil somethin' to keep you warm."
You held it close to your chest—it smelled like him. And it was as if you weren't already in his t-shirt, anyway; as if he hadn't left enough of his own marks on you that night, but you were happy to have a little something on you that reminded you of him.
You hopped out of bed yourself and, to make a point, grabbed one of his caps to put on your head.
"Ready!"
And perhaps it was because it was late, and barely anyone would be outside anyway, but it seemed neither of you cared that you'd be leaving in your pajamas.
Caleb tugged at your hand, pulling you close.
"I hope you know that I love seein' you in my clothes," he chuckled. "Makes you look extra gorgeous."
And you could think to yourself that you were so used to his charm, maybe even desensitized… but he would always find ways to prove you wrong. An additional kiss to your forehead had you melting in an instant, and then he still had the audacity to send you a wink.
"Caleb!" you huffed as he pulled away and ushered you outside, the gleeful sound of his laughter never failing to astonish you.
Seriously, the audacity of this man!
And yet you couldn't quite complain, not with the way your heart filled with a complete and utter sense of fondness for him. It didn't matter the hour, didn't matter that the breeze of the dawn before you made you feel a little cold. He squeezed your hand and quietly put it into his pocket… and, really—with your hand in his and his presence beside you, it was all the warmth you could ever need.
As you walked to the convenience store, your free hand took a glance at the time on your phone.
"1:43AM," you mused, "on… February 14th. Huh, look at that! So our Valentine's date this year's to a convenience store?"
You felt him peek over your shoulder, and he let out a laugh. "Guess it is Valentine's, huh? Happy Valentine's Day, pipsqueak." He gave your hair a little ruffle, before the little jingle of your very destination had him tugging you through the doors.
As you expected: quite empty.
He nudged your arm. "I mean, I'm still takin' you out for a date later today," he shrugged, "but as an extra treat, then you've got free reign gettin' whatever you want. I'll pay."
Immediately your eyes brightened, a squeal falling from your lips enough to draw a quizzical stare from the cashier lady, and you squeezed his arm. "Really?!"
"Yeah, really!"
"Oh my god! You better not go back on that promise!"
"Be real. When have I ever, with you?"
You felt another surge of warmth rush through you, and you stood on your tiptoes to give him a quick peck on the lips. "God, I love you!"
And it wasn't really as if you didn't have a little bit of your own snack stash still left at home, but who were you to refuse a free gift?
There was a bounce to your step as you walked through the aisles, and you supposed that neither of you were acting as if it were practically two in the morning. The irony stood—despite everything else being quiet around you two, there was enough joy in the simplest things with him to get you all bouncy like this.
You turned to him with your arms full of little snacks, and laughed as you held one up for him. "Hey! Remember this one? The first time you brought this home, it was 'cause some girl from your class got you this." The memory made you laugh, and you turned the packet over in a moment of nostalgia. "I haven't had these in forever, for some reason, but they were really good. That girl had taste…"
A flick to your forehead.
"Hey!"
He snatched a couple of the packets you were carrying and put them into the basket he was holding, all while giving you a pointed look. "Doesn't matter who got them first," he scoffed, "'cause I brought them home for you."
A smile played on your lips.
"Well… she wasn't the first to give you stuff, nor was she the last."
"Aaand like I said, it doesn't matter."
This time, you grinned and tiptoed to return the forehead flick he'd given you just earlier. "Why're you so upset about it? Of course the golden boy would always get so much attention from all the girls—"
"Sooo I'd get all that attention from 'em, and then disregard their gifts just so you'd have somethin' to have fun with when we got home."
You paused, and he gave a playful roll of his eyes.
"I gotta hand it to ya, pipsqueak, sometimes you spend a lil too much time up there in the clouds."
"What!?"
He held up a box of cookies that you were familiar with.
"This one's been your favorite for as long as I can remember. Some girl gave one of these to me back in middle school… But I knew you'd love 'em. So I gave 'em to you."
Another box of snacks.
"You always say you don't like these, but I see you sneak them back to your room when no one's lookin'… Happened to get this as a gift, too, so I left them in your room when we got back."
And you watched, somewhat amazed, as he held up the very same packet you'd been examining earlier.
"And, sure, maybe you've never had this one before… But you were always a lil adventurous. It was strawberry. I remember, 'cause you like strawberries. So I thought you might've wanted to give this a try, too."
Your gaze followed his movements as he took the liberty to grab a couple more snacks from the shelves, and though he turned back to you with a smile, you found your mind still reeling from what he'd said.
It was always you. From the very start, he…
"I've always watched you," he said simply. Because he could read you like an open book, and some things just don't change. He shrugged, leaned down towards you to give the tip of your nose a little poke. "I saved those for you, 'cause I know you. And you think any of those girls ever mattered to me? Nah. It was always just about you. And you got to relish in all those little snacks, so, you know. Win-win situation if I get to make you happy."
For a moment you didn't speak, and you felt the blush slowly begin to creep up your cheeks.
You'd never realized it before; maybe never even bothered to check for yourself.
Sure, you maybe thought all of those were from him, and, sure, when you found out they weren't directly, you felt a little upset, but…
It was more than just material to poke fun at him for being popular.
Your eyes softened. "So… you were thinking about me."
"Pshh. I always think about you, baby. Not a moment goes by where I don't."
You watched him walk away with a wave of his hand, under the guise of 'checking out the drinks while you think of what else you wanted', and a flurry of butterflies stirred anew in your heart.
As you hurried to catch up with him and stood by him at the counter, he chuckled. "I always thought you'd find out then and there how much I liked you, you know."
"I guess you were being obvious about it, in a way…"
"Yeah, and you were too busy relishing in the free snacks."
"Hey!"
He laughed, grabbing the bag of your little snack haul, and smoothly looped your arms back together.
"Weeelll," he hummed, "now you get to say with certainty that all this here's from me. And I get to do this…"
The minute you stepped outside the convenience store, he leaned down to give you a soft kiss. And again, you'd think—there couldn't possibly be a cozier place to be than right here with him in this moment.
"…You don't need to use gifts from someone else to get me snacks anymore," you laughed a little.
"Mhm, I can get 'em for you myself. And seal it with a lil kiss."

could I request one where reader tells Fred that she's pregnant and he gets a bit overprotective of her?
A/n: DAD!FRED
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’d been trying to find the right moment to tell Fred all day, but as usual, the Weasley twins had been busy causing mayhem in the shop. Every time you thought you had a second alone with him, someone would burst in needing something.
Finally, after the last customer left and George conveniently decided to “check inventory” in the back (which you highly suspected was his way of giving you privacy), you took a deep breath and turned to Fred.
“Fred,” you started, trying to steady your nerves.
He grinned, draping an arm around you. “Yes, love? What can I do for you? Want me to prank Percy again? Because I’d be delighted.”
You laughed but shook your head. “No, it’s… something else.”
Something about your tone made him sober up instantly. His playful smirk faded into concern, his eyes scanning your face. “You alright?”
You reached for his hand, squeezing it. “Yeah, I’m fine. Actually… I’m better than fine.” You took a deep breath and finally said the words. “I’m pregnant.”
For a moment, Fred just stared at you. His mouth opened, then closed, then opened again. It was like watching a broken puppet try to function.
“You’re… what?” he asked, voice higher than usual, your once confidant husband looked like he was hit with a Bludger. The man who survived the Battle of Hogwarts looked like he was two seconds away from keeling over.
You laughed softly, nodding. “Pregnant, Freddie.”
A slow, disbelieving grin spread across his face, but then—just as quickly—it shifted into something else. His hands suddenly hovered near you like he wasn’t sure if he should touch you.
“Merlin’s beard—okay, okay, sit down. You should be sitting.”
“Fred—”
“No, no, no, I mean it,” he said, ushering you toward the nearest chair. “You should be resting. Are you tired? You must be tired. You’re making a baby, that’s got to be exhausting....I... oh god." Fred gripped his hair now realizing how tired he must have made you.
You rolled your eyes as he kneeled in front of you, looking you over like you might break at any second.
“Fred, I’m fine.”
“Well, you won’t be if you keep standing around like that!” he insisted. “We need to get you something to eat. You’re eating properly, right? Oh, I need to tell Mum. She’ll know what to do. And Healer appointments—do we need to make one? When do we make one? You need to sit! Why are you standing! You shouldn't be standing."
You burst out laughing. “Fred, breathe!”
He sucked in a deep breath, exhaling slowly, but his eyes were still filled with excitement and overwhelming concern. “Okay. Right. I’m breathing. I’m calm.” He took another breath and then suddenly turned toward the back of the shop.
“OI GEORGE! SHE’S PREGNANT!”
You groaned, covering your face as George came running in, eyes wide. “Blimey, really?” He grinned at you before turning to Fred. “And you didn’t pass out? Proud of you, mate.”
Fred glared at his twin before turning back to you. “I swear, love, I’m going to take the best care of you. No heavy lifting, no stress, no....no nothing..but pure relaxation."
You sighed, already knowing that Fred was about to become the most overprotective man in existence. But as he kissed your forehead and pressed a hand gently against your stomach, his wide-eyed awe and love made your heart melt. A nervous smile on his lips as his he held you close, the man now guiding you to the back of the store to sit down.
Overprotective? Yes. But the love of your life was also about to be the best dad in the world.

our girl💞 (pt. 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
an: i was inspired to write this like FOREVER AGO by a tik tok this woman made talking about how she found it impossible to sleep the night after she gave birth. just knowing her little dream baby was real and right there next to her. so i wrote it finally LMAO
ok i srsly promise this is the last one for this weekend hahah! actually though, im going out of town tomorrow until monday night/tuesday so i might be MIA on here anyways but i promise i won’t bombard you with my baby fever anymore hahaha!!
part 1
The room was dark and quiet, save for the occasional hum of machines and the distant beeping of monitors in the hall. The soft glow from the small nightlight near the bassinet illuminated just enough for Billie to stir awake. At first, she wasn’t sure what had woken her—maybe it was the subtle shift in the air, or maybe it was just her natural instinct as a new mom kicking in.
She blinked sleepily, stretching slightly before swinging her legs over the edge of the extra hospital bed for visitors. As she moved to stand, she glanced to her right—and there you were, laying on your side, wide awake. Not just awake, but completely entranced, eyes locked onto the tiny bundle nestled in the hospital bassinet.
Your daughter was awake too, just staring right back at you with those wide, curious newborn eyes. Neither of you moved. Neither of you made a sound. Just two little souls, taking each other in.
Billie couldn’t help but chuckle. “Baby,” she whispered, voice thick with sleep, “why are you still up?”
You blinked, almost startled, as if you hadn’t even realized Billie was watching. Your lower lip trembled as your gaze flickered to her. “I…” Your voice cracked, and suddenly your eyes were shining with fresh tears.
Billie’s teasing smile softened instantly. She crouched down to sit softly on the bed, her warm hand coming up to cup your cheek. “Hey, hey. What’s wrong, my love?” she murmured, wiping away a stray tear with her thumb.
You sniffled, laughing a little at yourself. “I just… I don’t think I’ll ever fall asleep again.”
Billie frowned slightly, tilting her head. “Baby, you had quite the day. You literally gave birth. You should be resting.”
You shook your head, another tear slipping down your cheek. “She was just in my tummy, B. For nine months. We talked about her, we dreamed about her, we waited for her…” Your voice wavered as you looked back at your daughter, eyes glistening with overwhelming love. “And now she’s here. She’s real. And she’s looking at me.” Your breath hitched. “I can’t believe this is real.”
Billie’s heart clenched, love swelling inside her chest until it was almost too much to contain. She leaned in, kissing away the fresh tears that rolled down your face. “Oh, baby,” she whispered, brushing her fingers through your hair. “It’s real. She’s real. And she’s ours.”
You let out a soft, shaky exhale, nodding. Billie smiled, helping you sit up and get comfortable before she finally stood, squeezing your hand once more before heading into the bathroom.
When she returned, she found you in the exact same position—sitting up now, but still completely absorbed in watching your daughter, your lips slightly parted, your expression nothing but pure awe. Your eyes were teary but full of joy.
Billie smirked, shaking her head fondly. “You’re obsessed, huh?”
You blinked, looking up at her with a watery laugh. “Completely.”
She let out a breathy chuckle before stepping toward the bassinet. “Alright, I know the cure for this.”
She reached down carefully, her hands expertly cradling your daughter as she lifted her from the bassinet. The moment your baby was in her arms, Billie melted. She rocked her gently, pressing featherlight kisses all over her tiny face. “Hey, little lady,” she whispered, brushing her thumb against her impossibly soft cheek. “You keeping Mama up? Just staring at her like she’s the best thing in the world?” Billie grinned as your daughter yawned, her tiny lips parting, her face scrunching slightly. “Yeah? I get it. She’s my favorite thing to look at too.”
You wiped at your face, your heart swelling so much it almost hurt.
After a few minutes of mommy-and-baby time, Billie turned to you, maneuvering your daughter carefully. “Alright, my love. You need the full experience.”
She placed the baby gently against your chest, making sure she was positioned just right. The moment that tiny, warm weight settled on you, you sucked in a breath, your hands immediately coming up to cradle her. Her little head rested right over your heart, her tiny hand grasping at your skin.
You closed your eyes, biting your lip to keep yourself from crying again. A quiet, breathy giggle escaped you, overwhelmed with the feeling of it all.
Billie laughed softly at your reaction. “Oh my God, you’re squealing,” she teased. “You’re literally gonna combust.”
“I might,” you admitted, voice muffled against your baby’s head. “I can’t help it, B. This is the best feeling in the world.”
Billie let out a soft sigh, her expression tender as she climbed onto the hospital bed beside you. She snaked an arm around your waist, pulling you closer, while her other hand rested gently on your arm, fingers brushing over the baby’s tiny back. She pressed her forehead to your shoulder, needing to be as close to both of you as humanly possible.
For a moment, neither of you spoke. The only sounds in the room were the occasional distant beeps from the machines and the soft, sleepy breaths of your newborn.
Then, your baby let out a tiny, soft yawn, nestling even closer to your skin.
Billie let out a breathy chuckle. “Okay. Yeah. That’s the best feeling in the world.”
You nodded, still smiling, still tearful, still overwhelmed with love. “Mm-hmm.”
A beat of silence passed before you spoke again, voice sheepish.
“Can we have another one?”
Billie’s head shot up, her eyes wide as she gaped at you. “Babe.”
You giggled, snuggling closer to her. “What? I mean… look at her.”
Billie groaned playfully, but the grin tugging at her lips betrayed her. “Oh, I am looking at her. And I’m also looking at you, my crazy, adorable, baby-obsessed wife, who just gave birth like hours ago and is already asking for round two.”
You giggled harder, shrugging. “I can’t help it. She’s perfect. We made her.”
Billie exhaled dramatically, shaking her head, but she was smiling so big her cheeks hurt. She pressed a long, lingering kiss to your forehead, then another to the baby’s head. “Let’s get through this one first, superstar,” she murmured, her voice laced with so much love it made your heart ache.
You hummed, letting your eyes drift closed, the warmth of Billie’s embrace and the tiny weight of your daughter lulling you into a peace you had never known before. “Deal.”
And as Billie held both of you close, her heart bursting at the seams, she knew—this was it. This was the dream.

[2:24 pm]
(cw: f!reader, suggestive, profanity, written on my phone so expect some typos)
“Baby, are you sure your big gave you permission to drive his car?” You asked fratboy!Jaehyun, eyes on him as he drove.
“Sweetheart, he basically begged me to take this baby for a spin! He asked me to water his plants, feed the dogs, and asked me to make sure the car was alright! A car like this needs to be taken out on a regular basis!” Jaehyun explained, his eyes not leaving the road ahead of the both of you.
Earlier today when Jaehyun had told you to come to the frat house, you hadn’t expected anything out of the ordinary. Even when he’d told you to make sure you were dressed up, you didn’t question it. It was pretty safe to say that you definitely weren’t expecting to see your boyfriend waiting for you while leaning against a Maserati! A sleek and shiny luxury car that had you wondering if cars were actually sexy like guys always talked about.
“Please don’t tell me you took out a loan for this. I know guys find cars sexy, but you’re smarter than this. Did you mix alcohols last night?” You asked with concern clear in your tone.
Jaehyun waved you off with a laugh and explained that his big, a major donor to the frat, had asked him to house sit for the week. That’s how you’d gotten here, in the leather passenger seat of the fanciest car you’d ever been in and on your way to a restaurant equally as fancy.
This restaurant Jaehyun had insisted on taking you to was about half an hour from campus, so while he focused on the road, you were in charge of directions. At least you were supposed to be, but how could you possibly focus on the screen of your phone when your boyfriend looked absolutely scrumptious behind the wheel?
He was in a crisp dress shirt, a bow tie around his neck with one hand at the top of the wheel and the other pinching his bottom lip gently while he hummed along to the song on the radio. “How far away is the exit, sweetheart?” He asked, looking at you from the corner of his eye.
“Huh? Oh, um…” you looked at the screen of your phone in your hands, “oh shoot. It’s rerouting. The next exit is in 3 miles.”
“Alright, thanks, Sweets. I made a reservation for this place so we can’t be too late,” he tells you, leaning over to give your thigh a gentle squeeze.
With his touch you feel your heart pound even faster, face growing hot. Did he even know what the hell he was doing to you? Touching you, taking you on a spontaneous date, looking like a model right off the runway, and just being the best boyfriend ever. He was everything you’d ever dreamed of, everything any girl dreamed of.
This effect he had on you was something else completely. So strong and intense that you’d now missed the exit you were supposed to take and the next 4 that followed. You even make him accidentally take the wrong exit a couple times because you glance at the screen right after you miss the exit you’re supposed to take and panic as you tell him to take the next one, even if it’s the wrong one.
Jaehyun groaned, trying to keep himself calm despite how frustrated he was feeling,“Sweetheart, we have 5 minutes before we lose our reservation and we’re 15 minutes away. What is making you so distracted?! It’s not hard to look at your screen, Sweets, we do it all the time.”
You flush with embarrassment, “baby, I’m distracted!”
“Distracted by what?! Sweetheart I’m going to have to break a handful of driving laws to make it to this restaurant on time,” he sighs tiredly, trying to hide his frustration with you.
He was trying to be spontaneous! How often did a couple of college kids get to go to a restaurant this fancy? Never. Since his big was paying him pretty handsomely for house sitting, Jaehyun had figured he could treat you by taking you out to the nicest dinner both of you had ever shared. This was a big step up from the usual diners and small food shops you usually went to.
“But you just look so fucking good right now! How am I meant to be looking at a phone when I would so much rather be looking at you? Seriously, babe, you look so sexy. I don’t know if it’s the dress shirt or you behind the wheel but something is doing it for me,” you confess with hot cheeks.
It’s Jaehyun’s turn to flush now, was the car hitter or was it just him? And then the next words that leave your lips have him wishing for the earth to swallow him whole. Very sweetly, very calmly, you ask, “do your think your big would know if we had sex in here?”
Jaehyun swerves the car, hearing multiple honks from his fellow drivers on the freeway. He swallows hard, eyes wide, “Sweetheart, you can’t just ask a guy that when he’s driving!”
You pout at him, reaching across the center console to hold his hand, “but you’re not just a guy. You’re my guy, you’re my boyfriend.”
“God, you’re going to be the fucking death of me, Sweetheart,” he sighs under his breath, then his back straightens and a smug smile comes over his handsome features, “I’m that distracting in a bow tie, huh?”
“Don’t let it get to your big head, take this exit,” you instruct with a playful roll of your eyes.
So that’s how you and Jaehyun find yourselves sitting across from each other with the finest food you’ve ever eaten. You have a happy smile on your face while you take another bite of the delicious food on your plate, and Jaehyun who sits across from you and wishes he’d never chosen a restaurant so far from home and chosen some looser dress pants. The things he does for you…

5 times your daughter prefers Buck, 1 time she prefers you
1️⃣
It was a nice summer day, good for a picnic at the park. Buck had the day off and promised to spend some time with you both this weekend as he’d been so busy all week.
You packed a large blanket and a cooler of sandwiches, snacks and drinks for a few hours at the park. Buck had even brought some slices of cake he had made.
Evie helped you set up the blanket on a fluffy patch of grass while Buck carried all the other items.
“Do you want to play for a little bit then come and eat?” You asked, sitting down and kicking your shoes off.
“Yes! I’m not hungry yet.” She claps her hands.
“Alright, put on some sunscreen and you can go.” You beckon her forward. She groans, hating the feeling of the sticky lotion on her skin.
“Come on kid, sunscreen isn’t so bad.” Buck laughs, handing you a water from the cooler. “Make sure you stay close by, we’ve got to see you at all times.” Buck reminds her as you slather lotion on her face and arms.
“Do you want to go on the swings?” You ask, rubbing her arms. “I can come push you for a bit.”
“I want Buck to do it.” She demands, not unkindly.
“Hey! Why not me?” You pout.
“Buck has bigger arms and he’s stronger so he can push me higher and faster.”
“That’s probably true.” He shrugs.
“So mean you two.”
“Awe, don’t get jealous.” Buck teases, leaning down to peck your forehead. “Can’t help that I’m the favorite.” He shoots before picking Evie up and running off.
They’re both laughing as they run to the swings.
2️⃣
Buck had been lucky enough to get Halloween off this year. Most of the 118 decided to spend the night together and take the kids trick or treating. For most of the night Evie stayed by Jee and Mara’s side but when a particular house with some scary decorations came up, she refused to go up.
A soundtrack of eerie sounds, a fog machine, and all types of mannequins replicating movie monsters littered the yard.
“Babe, they’re just decorations. It’s okay to be scared but I promise nothing bad will happen.” You rub her back.
“Why don’t you walk between me and Chris?” Denny offers.
She shakes her head quickly and clings to your leg. “Do you want to skip this house?”
“I want to go with Buck.” She grabs his hand, leaving no room for argument.
Buck grins and holds her little hand in his. She stays behind his leg as she shuffles up to the door. Buck can see the bowl of candy on the floor in front of the monster on the rocking chair.
“Okay, keep your eyes closed and I’ll guide your hand to the bowl.” Buck kneels down and guides her hand into the bowl. Her other hand holds her bucket. She grabs a mini candy bar and throws it in her bucket. She finds Buck’s hand again as she pulls him in a jog back to you.
Buck lets out a dramatic breath, “That was so scary, he almost got us.”
“Did he really?” You raise a brow, laughing at him.
“No, Buck scared him away!” Evie looks through her candy bowl.
“With that face, I bet he did.” Eddie jokes causing Chris to laugh loudly and Buck to nudge his shoulder.
3️⃣
“Can we read a book tonight?” Evie slips off the couch and slips her feet into her slippers.
“Okay, go brush your teeth and pick out a book, I’ll be there in a minute okay?” You begin to fold the blanket as you stand.
Buck takes two corners and brings them together. You bring your side to meet his, receiving a cold, chocolatey kiss from him as he grabs the blanket and finishes folding by himself. He tosses the blanket onto the back of the couch.
You collect the bowls and spoons from the coffee table and began heading to the kitchen. Just as you’re washing the residue from your sundaes, you hear Evie’s feet pattering back into the living room.
“I got my book!”
“Alright babe, I’m almost done!” You shout back.
“Can Buck read to me instead?” You peek your head from around the kitchen wall.
“But I always read to you.” You don’t conceal your hurt this time.
“I know mommy but I like when Buck makes his funny faces and voices.” She hugs the book to her chest.
“Oh, okay. Go ahead then. I’ll be there later to kiss you goodnight.” You duck back into the kitchen to dry the dishes. You hear Buck telling Evie to go get settled and he would be there soon.
You then hear and feel him creeping into the kitchen behind you. His arms wrap around your waist and he rests his chin on your shoulder.
“Baby…”
“It’s fine, Buck.” You lean your head against his. “Go read, I’ll get our bed ready.”
“You know she loves you and only wants me because she doesn’t get to see me all the time.” He ignores your previous comment and kisses your neck.
“You’re stealing all my mom duties!” You pout. “It’s not funny! You wormed your way into her little heart and she’s forgotten all about me.”
Through giggles he says, “That’s not true. You’re literally her entire world she just likes having me around. And I mean I’m really funny when I read to her.”
“Funny looking, yes.” You agree.
“Hey! Don’t be a jerk. Would you rather her absolutely hate me?” He pokes your sides.
“I guess not.” You sigh, “you better get in there before she comes back out and asks why you’re taking so long.”
“I know, she gets bossy like her mom.” He sticks his tongue out, the tip pressing to your cheek.
“You’re disgusting and I’m not bossy. Now go.” You push his stomach and swat his butt with the hand towel.

You’re spreading the Nutella onto the piece of bread when Evie comes out of the bathroom. She is already changed into some comfy sweats as she climbs into the seat.
“What worksheets do you have today?” You slide over her toast and cut up strawberries and bananas. “I have to do a math sheet and some reading.”
“Okay, which one are we doing first?” You sit beside her, stealing a piece of her fruit.
“Can Buck help me with my math?”
“He’s at work babe.”
“Can we call him?”
“We can try but he’s usually really busy. Don’t be upset if he can’t talk okay?”
She nods.
You: hey, are you super busy right now? Evie would like your help with her math homework 🥹
Buck: give me 5 minutes and I’ll give you a call
Buck: also hi gorgeous, I miss you ❤️
You: miss you too, can’t wait to see your cute face even if it’s through a screen 🥰
Buck gives you a FaceTime call a few minutes later. You scoot closer to Evie and prop your phone up so they can see each other.
“Hey kid! How was school?”
“Buck!” She says through a mouthful. “I made a new friend today.”
“Oh yeah? Tell me about it.” He grunts as he slumps into a chair.
“Mommy says you’re busy.”
He chuckles and nods, “okay, what’s the first question?”
She reads off the question and you can see him leaning forward to grab a pen on the table then a napkin.
Buck watches as she holds up her fingers and counts. She reminds him to hold his fingers up too.
“You’re super smart, Buck.” She mentions as she finishes the last few questions.
“Takes practice.” He shrugs.
“Or getting struck by lightening.” You raise a brow.
“What do you mean mommy?”
“Nothing, she’s just making a joke.” Buck gives you a look. Buck had mentioned getting stuck under the fire engine once while giving you two a tour and Evie refused to go near the engine. It took Bobby carrying her and letting her wear his captain helmet for her to finally sit inside the truck.
You hear the chimes and bells signaling Buck has to go for a call. “Be safe, we love you!”
“I will, I’ll call you before bed okay? I love you.” You can see him rushing downstairs and grabbing his gear with one hand.
“Thank you, Buck!” Evie shouts before the call hangs up.
5️⃣
“How’s my girl?” Buck says through the screen.
“She’s sleeping now but still has a fever and tummy ache.” You run your fingers through her hair as she rests her head on your thigh.
“Did you tell her that I’m coming over later?”
“Of course.” You roll your eyes, “she’s refusing to eat the canned noodle soup.”
“I can’t help that she likes my cooking.” He laughs.
“You got everything you know from Bobby.” You bite.
“Yeah whatever, she still likes my cooking better no matter where I learned it from.” You can see him pulling items from the shelves as he swerves through the grocery store.
“You don’t make me soup when I’m sick.”
“Oh come on, that’s not fair. You’ve been sick once since we’ve been together and you wouldn’t let me come see you.” He shakes his head.
“Is that Buck?” You hear from below you.
“Yeah baby, he’s at the store.” You feel her forehead.
“Evie!” Buck cheers through the phone. “I’m coming over to make my magic soup.”
“Can you hurry?” She whispers. “My tummy hurts.”
“I’ll be there soon, try to sleep some more okay?”
She nods and rests her head back down.
By the time she wakes up again, Buck is carrying her to the table.
“Buck? When did you get here?”
“A few hours ago, can you sit?” He kisses her forehead before setting her in the chair.
“Why didn’t you wake me up?” She rubs her droopy eyes.
“Because you looked so cute sleeping.” You smile, setting her bowl in front of her. “It’s hot so don’t eat it just yet.”
“Do we have crackers?”
“Yup, made sure to get you the little ones you like.” Buck sits beside her, feeling her forehead.
“Can I have some water?” She shivers, scooting closer to Buck for warmth.
“Of course babe, how are you feeling?” You rush to the cabinet to pull out a cup.
“My tummy still hurts.” She curls in on herself. “And I’m hungry.”
Buck gives her a few crackers and spoons some soup onto the plastic Bluey spoon. He blows twice before bringing it to her lips.
“Good?” He searches her face.
“I feel better already.” She smiles, brushing her hair out of her face.
“Told you the magic soup always works.” He gives you a wink.
*️⃣1️⃣
“Where’s mommy?” Evie asks, skipping into the bedroom. Buck sits on the bed scrolling through the tv.
“She’s in the shower. What’s up?” Buck pats the bed. She walks over to the side he’s on and lifts her arms. He leans over to pick her up.
“Just want a hug.” He sits her in the middle of the bed, pulling the blanket over her lap.
“I’ll give you a hug.” He opens his arm.
“I want a hug from mommy. She has the best cuddles.”
“I can attest to that.” Buck smiles over at her. “I’m sure she’ll be out soon. Want to watch something with me?”
“Okay.” She nods and lays back against the pillows. Buck watches as she looks to the bathroom door several times.
“You okay?” He pats her knee.
“Yeah, mommy is taking a long time.”
“She’s just having some mommy time before bed.” He assures. “You sure you don’t want to snuggle with me? I can keep you warm until mom gets out.”
“No, that’s okay.” She sighs before resting her head back onto the pillow.
She lifts her head a few minutes later when the bathroom door opens and steam drifts out.
“Hey girly, what are you doing up?” You smile, adjusting your towel around your body.
“I want cuddles.” She pleads.
“Is that so?” You smirk at Buck as you trail over to the bed. “Guess, I’m good for something.”
Evie bolts up onto her knees and wraps her arms around your shoulders, climbing into your lap.
“I’m still a little wet on my shoulders, you might get cold.” You wrap your arms around her waist.
“Don’t care, just want a hug.” You smiles into your neck.
“Okay, whatever you say.” You kiss her cheek. “Feeling lonely over there Mr. Buckley?”
“Yes.” He immediately says.
“Come join our mommy cuddles!” Evie exclaims. Buck doesn’t hesitate to scooch up against your back and hug the both of you.
“Best cuddles ever.” He whispers into your ear.

"Maddie screaming and Ozzy's cough (pt.6)"
or "Something made a hole in my backyard pt.6"
Tumblr media
Notes: Did I promise this chapter like two days ago? Yes, I did. Did I deliver it two days ago? No, I did not. But the sun shines on Green Hills and I´m finally done writing this thing! This one is the longest chapter yet, and I think that from now on they will only get longer as not to make too many chapters. But until then please enjoy this one!
Part 5
Tumblr media
As it turned out Shadow was not half bad company, he was silent and he still distrusted you and just sat broodingly on the chair as you prepared your morning coffe. But he wasn´t all that bad.
It hadn´t been not even an entire day since he woke up, and even though you had fervently insisted that he stayed on the bed while you did stuff around the house he had not left you alone for even a second. You were pretty sure that he thought you were a secret agent of sorts and were going to attack him at any moment.
But, as long as he didn´t attack you first, you were fine with that, trust had always taken time. As for his health he seemed to be a lot better than the day before, if you asked him he would say that he was fine, nevertheless you had seen him wince more than once while walking.
So there you were, grinding coffee beans on your kitchen, while a weird hedghog looked at you as though he could see right through your very soul. And why were you grinding coffee beans, you might ask. Well, because for some reason, out of your knowledge, the old lady that owned the house had a taste for buying coffee beans, and as you were lazy, and did not planned to walk all the way to the store you were dealing with what you were handed. Coffee beans.
"What would you like for breakfast? I´ve got tea, tap water, I think there is some juice left in the fridge, and eventually there will be coffee" You said looking at Shadow before thinking again "Do hedghogs even drink coffee?" you whispered to yourself.
"We also have to find you something to eat..." You turned around to look around the kitchen for at least some bread. And as you had found it, and were stratching in order to grab it, you heard an awful crunching sound behind you.
Tha scene was almost comical, all the way from how you slowly turned to look at the hedghog with a confusion face, to Shadows litlle cheeks looking full as he munched on something, and even the face that you did when you realized that what he was eating was the coffee beans .
"Are you eating the coffee?"
He nodded, a look on his face that read "yes I am, what are you going to do about it?".
"You are aware that that is not how you consume coffee?" Another nod from him "That could seriously damage your digestive system"
"I am the ultimate life form, a mere plant shall not destroy me"
You pursed your lips together and nodded back. Your mind was debating in between worrying for him and laughing at how unfitting his voice was to his tiny body.
"Alright then ultimate life form, would you at least want a spoon?" You asked as you grabbed one for him.
He looked between your hand, your face, the coffee beans bag, and then back to your face; finally he nodded yet again and agreed with a simple "Yes, thank you".
"Alright, as soon as I´m done with this I need to go to my uncle´s house to check up on them and say hi" You told the hedghog so that he would know.
"You are leaving me on my own?" He questioned as he looked at you a little weird, you couldn´t really tell what he was thinking.
"Yes, I trust you won´t get yourself killed in a few hours, just don´t let people see you, if you get bored the tv is in the living room, you´ll entretain yourself" You explained as you finished drinking your coffee and picked up your jacket.
"You would leave me alone, in your home, even though you don´t know me at all? For all you know I could blow up your entire house" You coldn´t know when the guy was kidding, he seriously had such a deadpan-kind-of-angry face all the time.
"Please do not do that, I can´t afford it" You said as you finished picking up your stuff. Meanwhile he just sat there watching you, still eating the beans.
"Ok, bye" you didn´t even noticed when you gave him a little kiss in his forehead as a goodbye, maybe it was just the habit of greeting your parents like that, but it didn´t matter because neither did you see the hedghog looking at you perplexed as you left the house.
✶✧✶✧✶✧✶✧
The walk to your uncle´s hose had thankfully felt rather short, probably because Green Hills was a rather small town and you had rented a hose near his on purpose.
By the time you stood in his front door you were barely tired, but you still took a second to gather your breath, and you were about to knock on the door when you heard Tom loudly speaking with someone.
"You should have told me in the morning, are you absolutely sure about this?" He asked someone.
"I mean he matched the description Sonic gave me, I never saw him, but I just know it is him" You were able to recognize the voice, it was your aunt Maddie, though she sounded kind of electronic, so you assumed they were talking through a phone.
"But that is good news!" Tom exclaimed.
"Tom, he nearly killed you, I´m sorry if I´m not super excited about this" Someone almost killed your uncle? Did all of this had anything to do with his broken arm?
"So you want us to not tell them anything at all? Not even about Sonic and the others? It doesn´t sound fair, and what if he wakes up?" Now he sounded a little worried, and even though you had no idea what they were talking about, you had started to worry a little too.
"I´ll go get him today, I can not have him hurting someone else on my family"
You realized then that you had been eavesdropping for longer than you intended (which was, nothing at all) and so you decided to knock on the door.
You heard your uncle say something like "Wait, there´s someone at he door" and five seconds later he opened up.
"Hey kiddo! I wasn´t expecting you to be here so early" He greeted and hugged you, messing up your hair a little bit on the process.
"Yeah, I just tought that I would drop by, y´know, check you still had your other arm in one piece" you joked as you dropped on his couch as if it was your own house. You had tecnically been raised in this house as well as your own.
"Where´s Maddie?" You asked Tom as he plopped himself besides you and turned off the tv which was playing a telenovela.
"Oh you know she´s out with the kids..." It seemed he realized his choice off words as they slowly faded towards the end of the sentence.
"Kids?" You looked at him as if he had gone crazy in the last 24 hours "Are you feeling alright? First aliens, now kids..."
He almost jumped out of the couch as he started walking towards the kitchen "Oh you know, I meant the animals, she sometimes says her patients are like her kids, so it must have rubbed off on me".
Someone had to give it to that man, Tom Wachowski was no bad liar.
"Mhm... And does she always take Ozzy to the vet with her?" You asked even further, confused for the missing friendly dog.
"No!" He nearly screamed, at that point you had gotten up from your spot and followed him all the way into the kitchen. "Is just that Ozzy had a bad cough, so she wanted to check it out".
"Okay..." You reluctantly agreed to the explanation.
The rest of the morning went by smoothly, you two talked and you even helped him with patching up some holes in the walls that he blamed the racoons for. But lunch was fastly approaching and no matter how sad it made you to leave you had a hedghog to take care of.
But, first, you had to use the bathroom. You told your uncle that much (about going to the bathroom, not about the alien hedghog) and left for the upstairs bathroom, because, you simply liked it better.
As you were done with your business and were leaving the room you noticed something strange, unusual for most of the times you had been to the Wachowski home.
The attic door was down. Right there, in the middle of the hallway.
Assuming that your Uncle had gone up to put something away, or sothing of sorts, you decided to go up to check it out. What you certainly were not expecting was the way the place was fixed up, there were comic books everywhere, a puff, and what looked like three small beds. The sudden sound of the front door banging was what took you out of your inspection.
Quikly you made your way down the stairs, and the closer you got to the front door the more you could hear your auntie screaming.
"...They were not there! And neither was him! I´m telling you, he did something to them!" You could hear her and you were sure that anyone that was outside on the sidewalk could as well.
"Maddie, calm down, they´re okay!" Tom was definitely trying to get a word in, but his wife´s shouts wouldn´t let him.
"What´s wrong, who´s missing?" You asked as you finally arrived to the place they were both standing.
Maddie whipped her head around so quickly you feard she would snap her neck, and then she just looked at you as if she could not believe you were standing there.
Tom telling her that "he tried to explain it to her" went over your head as a fluffy animal walked into the house.
"Ozzy! How´re you doing girl? Is your cough better?" You asked as you petted the animal which was constantly trying to lick your face.
"Are you alright?" Maddie asked as she knelt besides you. You laughed.
"Yeah, why wouldn´t I be?"
That answer seemed to calm her down as she stood up and left to talk to Tom.
"Dad! I know you said we had to go out for some time to take in some sun, but Tails scrapped his knee, and so we had to come back..." You heard a voice that suddenly went silent as it stood behind you.
You turned around, your aunt and uncle besides you.
There, in the front door of your uncle´s house, stood a perfect blue copy of Shadow.
"I´m sorry, why did nobody told me my cousin had come home?" It spoke.
And then you fainted.

I have not published something I have written in a hot minute - debated putting that as a warning, but just wanted to offer some comfort in case anyone felt as overwhelmed as I tend to.
I decided just to pull off the plaster (band aid) on this one so forgive if not too polished, but after not posting my writing for years, I had to get it over with!
Thanks for reading!

_____________________
You let the flap of the tent fall shut behind you as you crawl into your bedroll and fall onto your back. The chill of the night air is apparent, even within the confines of your canvas cocoon. Your arms wrap around yourself in an attempt to warm your body and soothe your soul; palms brushing frayed cotton in a back and forth motion.
The fate of the world, the fate of your friends seems to be your hands. You aren’t quite sure how and when they put you in charge, but it was right about now that you wish they hadn’t.
Gale’s Deity ex-girlfriend demands the ultimate sacrifice in exchange for meaningless forgiveness, Karlach will meet a face worse than death if she doesn’t return to Avernus and Shadowheart seeks the acceptance of a soulless Goddess of pain and suffering.
But worse than all that you could allow to happen, remains that which you couldn’t prevent. That cannot be undone.
Astarion is a master of Stoicism, but you can see the way Cazador has dug his claws into him. The fear of enclosed spaces. The dislike for rats. The way he believes no one could ever want him around for anything more than his body.
You think about the first time you let him feed on you and how it took him several days after that to stop asking you if there was anything he could do for you in return, including sleeping with you.
You had politely declined his advances with shame that shone through your skin. In truth, he had become someone you cared about all too quickly, but you would never allow him to believe he owed you for something you did out of love, or something very close to it.
You don’t seem to register when the tears first tumble from your eyes until they roll down the sides of your face, brushing the tips of your ears before hitting the pillow. Closing your eyes releases another round, descending downward, skimming your temples.
“Darling?” The familiar voice, smaller than you have ever heard it, whispers through the gap in the tent door. “May I come in?” You surmise it's likely he already knows you're upset but you attempt to lessen the impact of coming face to face with that reality by brushing away the evidence. “If you don’t answer me I am afraid I may have to commit an act of breaking and entering to ensure your safety.” Your laugh is a reflex you have grown used to in his company. A welcome one.
“Yes, you may.” One last drag of your hands across your face and Astarion appears at the entryway to your tent. You lean up onto your elbows and push yourself up into a seated position.
“Thank you.” Ever the gentleman, he replaces the fabric covering the doorway before making himself comfortable, mirroring your position, legs straight in front, leaning backwards on arms outstretched. “Is everything alright?”
The simple answer is no, and perhaps that is written on your face. Astarion looks concerned, an expression he rarely wore. Something about his approach made you answer in truth. No quips. No forced positivity. Just your reality. But not before taking a deep breath.
“No.” You watch his face as carefully as he watches yours. You notice how his brow dips in the middle, as though the worries in his mind have settled neatly upon his forehead. “And I’m tired of pretending they are,” You swallow as teardrops gather along your bottom lash line. “Not that I think anyone is fooled.” You laugh, shaking your head as you avert your eyes from the intensity of his gaze. "I feel like a fraud, who am I to be standing here before you all like I have a clue?!"
“Darling, it’s not about anyone being fooled.” You can hear the restraint in his voice. “For better or worse, you  take it upon yourself to absorb everyone’s problems with the aim of finding an answer for them. That makes you a better person than most of us. But it doesn’t mean that every answer is good or will have a happy ending. It’s the hope that makes it worthwhile.” Rain begins to fall on the tent roof, the patter punctuating the peaceful pause.
“Take it from a man who traditionally does as much good as you do evil.” He leans forward and lowers his head in an attempt to catch your eye and when he has no luck, resituates himself beside you and plants his hand atop yours. You look back at your hands with a fondness. The softness of Astarion’s actions counter everything he ever wanted you to believe. “You inspire a hope in me that has long been buried in an empty casket in Baldur’s Gate.”
You screw your eyes shut as you try to contain the tears, swallowing hard as your breathing threatens to release a body wracking sob. “Oh Darling.” He breathes, before leaping to action and wrapping his arms around you, pressing you close to his chest. The sob escapes into his cotton shirt with the criss cross front. “It will be okay.” He says into your hair. “It will be o-kay.” He rocks you slightly. He hushes you as you cry, a soothing symphony with the accompanying rain. Your body moulds into his or perhaps his moulds into yours.
“Will you stay with me?” You ask quietly. “You don't have to. I just-” You choke on your words, but before you can try to continue, his hand cradles the back of your neck.
“You don't have to explain yourself.” He turns his head and presses his lips against the top of your head.  “You don't have to go through this alone. You do so much for everyone else,” He leans back, peeling you from him, and holds your head perfectly between his two palms, your eyes interlocking. “Let me do this for you.”
“This is nothing, I’ll be-” His lips press to your forehead and your eyes flutter shut on impact. The silence in the tenderness of the moment wraps around your heart and squeezes. How can you argue?
Before you think you might cry again, he sits back and looks at you.
“How about we get some rest?” His hands squeeze your shoulders gently. You nod, exhausted from another day of walking, thinking and acting on behalf of others. Your body is limp and easily persuaded back into a reclined position. “Theeere we go.” Astarion’s words are softer and warmer than toasted marshmallows, and make you feel lighter and sleepier as he nestles down next to you. “It’s okay.” He says as you stare into one another’s eyes. “You rest.” He sweeps his fingers in a gentle caress across your forehead and behind your ear. “I won’t be far behind you.”
You resist slumber at the expense of a few more moments lost in his eyes, but soon sleep captures you. It’s gentle and forgiving, like the arms of the pale elf.
He stays with you all night, and it doesn’t take him long to trance himself into a restful stasis, safe in the knowledge that here, in this moment, you have him and he has you.

Out of Her Depth - Chapter 3: The Superbowl Party
Out of Her Depth: The Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Saoirse wasn’t sure how she ended up at a Super Bowl party in Cinccinati when she could’ve been at home in Monaco, enjoying a quiet evening with her sim rig before having to go to London for the car launches, but Daniella had insisted, and when Daniella insisted, it was nearly impossible to say no.
Now she stood in the middle of a crowded penthouse, surrounded by NFL players, influencers, and celebrities, feeling completely out of place. Saoirse adjusted the jacket she wore over her black top and crossed her arms, sticking close to Daniella like a lifeline. She watched the TV screen, but the chaos of American football made no sense to her. The constant stopping and starting, the endless rules, what was the point?
"You look miserable." Daniella teased, sipping her drink. "Am I that obvious?" Saoirse muttered. "Painfully." Daniella laughed, nudging her. "Come on. Loosen up! It’s a party." Saoirse sighed. "I am trying, but I can't. I hate America." Ja'Marr came over, pecking Daniella's cheek. "What'd I miss?" He asked, hangin is arm around Daneilla's shoulders. "I wanna introduce her to some of your teammates. Expand her social circle."
"Sounds good to me. Maybe try-"
"No need." Saoirse shook her head before she could even finish. "I'm all good." Ja’Marr Chase, Daniella’s boyfriend and one of the biggest names in the NFL liked Saoirse. He liked how quick she was with her words. He also knew someone else who was smart with their words, and in the same position as Saoirse at that moment; so very single, and practically impossible to get out of their house. "C’mon, O’Reilly. Plenty of people to talk to. It’s time to socialize for once."
Saoirse narrowed her eyes at him. "I socialize." She quipped. "When’s the last time you left your apartment in Monaco?" He asked. She opened her mouth, then hesitated. She wouldn’t leave the place if she could help it and everyone that knew her knew it. "Exactly." He grinned, taking a swig of his drink. Daniella smirked. “He’s got a point, you know. Just pick anyone and try talk to them."
Saoirse rolled her eyes, taking a sip of her drink. "Fine. If I have to make conversation—where’s the really good-looking one?" Ja’Marr raised an eyebrow. "Who?"
"Haven't a clue." She said, shrugging. "All I know is he's always on my for you page and hes an American Footballer that plays for your team." A voice behind her cut in smoothly.
"You can just call it football, you know. Since you’re in the States."
Saoirse turned, heart skipping a beat. Joe Burrow stood there, casually leaning against the bar with a beer in hand, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. For the first time that night, Saoirse had no words. Joe tilted his head. "You good?" She blinked, gathering herself. "Might beed to lay off the bacardi but I should be alright." She replied, her stunned face still not changing, apart from a pink blush colouring her cheeks. He chuckled, extending a hand. "Joe."
"Saoirse." She shook it, feeling the warmth of his grip before pulling away quickly. From the corner of her eye, she spotted Daniella grinning like a Cheshire cat, while Ja’Marr watched with amusement.
The game continued, though Saoirse barely followed. By the time the first quarter ended, she looked up at the screen, frowning. "So, does this mean Kendrick Lamar is performing now?" Joe laughed, shaking his head. "Not yet. That’s halftime." Saoirse's eyebrows knotted. "So what's this then?"
Joe smirked. "You really don’t get football, huh?"
"Not American football, no." He shifted closer, nodding toward the screen. "Alright, I got you. I’ll explain." He said, his hand resting on the counter behind Saoirse. Saoirse arched an eyebrow, crossing her arms and looking up at the blonde. "Wish you all the best."
For the next twenty minutes, Joe patiently walked her through the rules. Saoirse compared everything to rugby, making the sport sound far more brutal than Joe intended. But she listened, her haz eyes flickering with curiosity, and for the first time all night, she felt engaged.
Daniella leaned against Ja’Marr, watching the scene unfold with pure satisfaction. "She’s actually talking to him." Ja’Marr smirked. "And he’s actually talking back." It had been a long time since Joe had taken an interest in anyone. But watching him now, laughing with the sharp-tongued Irish driver, Ja’Marr had a feeling that might be about to change.
The game carried on in the background, but Saoirse and Joe were lost in their own conversation, quick-witted and fast-paced, neither of them missing a beat. "Okay, real question-" Saoirse said suddenly, tilting her head at him. "Do you genuinely think that bleached buzzcut was a good idea?" Joe groaned, running a hand through his current, much better-looking haircut. "I knew this was coming."
"Well?" She pressed, smirking. "You know, for someone that doesnt watch football, you know a lot about certain players." He grinned. "Or just you. Now, answer the question." He sighed. "Alright, listen—I had just broken up with my girlfriend around that time, and I needed a change. It was an impulsive decision." Saoirse rolled her eyes. "Ah, the classic post-breakup hair transformation. Should’ve just gotten bangs." Joe laughed. "Yeah, that definitely would’ve gone well for me."
"Like the bleached buzzcut did?"
"Hey, it's my turn." He said, leaning forward, thinking for a moment before deciding to keep the conversation on a similar theme to what it was at. "Would you ever dye your hair a different colour?"
“I already do.”
Joe blinked. "Wait, what?" She grinned. "I’m actually a brunette. But I’ve been getting highlights since I was like fourteen, and over time, it just sort of… stayed. Now it looks natural." Joe pointed at her. "So you also dye your hair. You can’t judge me for dying my hair last year." Saoirse smirked. "I did not judge you for dying it."
"Then what did you judge?" She leaned in slightly, eyes glinting. "The style." Joe let out a laugh, shaking his head. "Ja'Marr is right. You are ruthless." She shrugged. "And yet, you’re still here talking to me." He grinned. "Guess I like a challenge."
The game was nearing its end, but Saoirse barely noticed. She and Joe hadn’t stopped talking since the halftime show ended—except for the few times a touchdown or a big play pulled their attention to the screen. Even then, their conversation picked up right where it left off, flowing as easily as if they’d known each other for years.
Saoirse leaned back against the bar, her empty drink in her hand, a lazy smile on her lips. "I have to admit, I actually enjoyed watching this." Joe smirked, tilting his head at her. "We didn’t exactly watch the game." She chuckled. "True." They exchanged a glance, both knowing that, despite being at a Super Bowl party, the game had become secondary.
Joe took a sip of his beer before asking, "So, how often do you come to the States?" Saoirse shrugged. "Other than races or promotional events? Never." Joe tsked, shaking his head. "Yeah, see, we can’t have that." She arched a brow. "What are you on about?" Instead of answering right away, Joe held out his hand. "Pass me your eyeliner." Saoirse blinked. "My what?"
"Your eyeliner." He nodded toward her winged liner. "You’ve got to have one in that tiny purse of yours."
"In my bag."
"Huh?"
"In Ireland, we call it-"
"Saoirse. Eyeliner if you have it, please."
Still skeptical, she reached into her bag and handed it to him. "If this is some weird American thing, I fear I might get the ick." Joe grinned as he gently took her hand, his touch firm but easy. With careful precision, he uncapped the eyeliner and, in bold, neat numbers, wrote his phone number across the back of her hand. Saoirse glanced at it, then up at him, unimpressed but intrigued. "This is your grand plan?"
"What? They do it in the movies." He said, handing her the eyeliner back. "You could’ve just asked me for my phone." She said. "If you don't text me tomorrow, I can just tell myself the number rubbed off when you were sleeping and you can't. If I put it into your phone, I'd have no excuse. But this-" He tapped her hand. "This is now your excuse to come back to the U.S. sooner and more often." She rolled her eyes, though a small smile played on her lips. "You’re awfully confident." Joe shrugged. "Confidence never hurt anyone."
Saoirse huffed a laugh, shaking her head. "Except maybe in racing." Joe leaned in slightly, his voice dropping just enough to be playful. "Luckily I'm an American football player." Saoirae gasped. "Oh my god you said it." Saoirse met his gaze, holding it for just a second longer than necessary before looking away, a rare warmth creeping onto her face.
Daniella, watching from across the room, nudged Ja’Marr. "Told you." She whispered. Ja’Marr sighed and reached into his pocket, taking out a ten dollar bill. "What's it feel like always being right?"
"Pretty good, babe. Pretty good."

Chapter 20
“Wow, the view from here is insane. I can’t believe this is just down the street from the house.” Y/n looks out the large glass windows that make up the cafe up on a hill looking over the beach. “And all those boats out there.”
“This side of the island is a pretty good fishing spot this time of year.” Changbin smiles at her as they are waiting in line to order drinks.
“Do you guys like to go fishing?” She finally turns away from the windows for the first time to look at her two dates.
“Not really.” Jisungs shakes his head. “Main thing is Minho doesn’t like water, so.”
“He seemed to be fine on the ferry we took to get here.”
“It’s because it’s a bigger boat than one you would go fishing on.” Changbin chuckles. “Plus he’s done the trip so many times he’s used to it by now. He hated it the first few times we came down here.”
“Though he doesn’t usually stay in the water for very long, so the fact that he stayed for a while when we had our beach day really says something.” Jisung thinks about it a little. “Maybe it's because of you that he’s getting more comfortable with it.”
“I doubt that.” The omega gives a small snort before finally looking up at the menu board as they are getting closer to the front of the line. “What are you guys getting?”
“Ice americanos.” They two males say at the same time making Y/n laugh when they look at each other shocked.
“What do you want to drink, angel?” Jisung wraps his arm around her shoulders.
“Well, I’ve never actually had coffee before.” She continues to scan the menu. “And I don’t want to get one to try in case I don’t like it.”
“You can try ours to see if you like it for next time.” Changbin nudges her shoulder. “Though I feel like you’ll be like Felix and won’t like it. But they do have smoothies if you want that.”
Y/n looks at the smoothies part of the menu and sighs. “There’s so many flavors, how do you choose?”
“We’ll pick one for you.” The beta squeezes her shoulders. “Are there any fruits you don’t like?”
“Pineapple.”
“Alright, we won’t pick anything with pineapple.” Jisung laughs.
Once it’s their turn Changbin steps up to the counter to order while Jisung and Y’n stand near the side, the older swaying them a little as they wait for their alpha.
“Can I get two large ice americanos and one large strawberry banana smoothie?”
Once they’ve gotten their drinks they walk out of the cafe and instead of heading down to the beach like Y/n thought, they lead her across the street to a large park and garden.
“Here, pretty girl, try it.” Changbin hands her his Americano and she takes a sip only to make a face with a scrunched up nose making both males laugh. “I figured you wouldn’t like it.”
“Made the same face Lixie always makes.” Jisung shakes his head.
“How’s the smoothie?” Changbin asks after she hands him back his drink and immediately drinks hers.
“So much better than yours, that’s for sure.” She then looks around as they start walking through the park. “So what is this place?”
“Jeju is known for having a lot of beautiful parks and gardens.” Jisung grabs her hand that isn’t holding her drink. “This one is one of my favorites and not just because it’s walking distance from the house meaning I can walk here with either an alpha or a beta.”
“Usually Jinnie takes him so he can paint while Ji walks around the place.” Changbin looks at the beta. “But he wanted so badly to take you here too and asked if this could be our date.”
“Aww, Jisungie.” Y/n leans her head against his shoulder. “Where’s yours and Hyun's favorite place to go in here?”
“Follow me.”
Jisung leads the two through the park and into the guarded area. Hundreds of different flowers are blooming and the smells are amazing. They go to a bridge over a small river and they can hear the sound of a waterfall.
“This is both of our favorite spot.” Jisung points to the waterfall with trees hanging over it, flower petals falling off the branches into the water.
The omega gasps at how beautiful it is. “Wow Ji, this place is amazing.”
“Look in the water.” Changbin leans into her side pointing just below them. “A bunch of koi fish.”
“They’re so pretty.”
“Come on, there’s more.”
Jisung drags the two of them around the whole garden. They would occasionally sit on a bench and take in the scenery. Y/n remembering she has a phone again started taking pictures of everything. She sent a few to Hyunjin asking if he could paint her a mural of one of them on her wall in her room. And the three of them took a few pictures together sending them to the group chat after realizing they need to take pictures with Y/n now as they don’t have any.
“Woah.” Y/n’a eyes light up as they reach the exit of the garden on the other side of the park where there are trees lining the path, millions of flower petals littering the ground and more still falling.
She runs ahead of them to go down the path and they follow along smiling at her.
“You chose a good date Ji.” The alpha takes the youngest’s hand and uses his other to take pictures of the girl. “I don't think we've ever seen her like this before.”
“I hope we get to see this more often now.”
They reach the end of the path where their omega is waiting for them with a huge smile.
“You’ve got flower petals in your hair, baby.” Changbin chuckles and lets go of Jisungs hand and they both start picking the petals off of her.
“The next time we come to the island can we go to more of the parks and gardens?”
“I’m sure we can.” Jisung grins. “Remember, the alphas can’t say no to Lix and I. Adding you in when asking for stuff, oh they’re done for.”
Changbin hits him on the back of the head, making him pout. “Don’t go having any ideas.”
The alpha then takes Y/n’s hand and she grabs Jisungs and they start walking through the park to head back to the house. They see some pups playing on the playground and a pack set up at one of the gazebos.
“Y/n?” A teen beta girl walks over to the three of them and gets excited at seeing the omega. “Oh my god it is you.” She runs up to her and hugs her, Y/n stands in shock letting go of both of her dates hands, before the teen turns and calls to a younger alpha boy. “Kwan, go get grandma and grandpa, it’s Y/n.”
“No, Nobi…” But Y/n was too late as Kwan has already run off to the gazebo to grab two of the adults and she turns to her two mates after letting go of the teen. “We need to go.”
“Why are you going? We haven’t seen you in two weeks.” Nobi pouts. “Grandma said you went to visit your dad in Japan. What are you doing here? And who are they?”
“Nobi, I need to go.” She’s getting desperate to leave now and Changbin and Jisung can tell.
“Let's go, Y/n.” Changbin wraps his arm around her trying to move her past the teen but they weren’t fast enough as Kwan was already back with an older alpha male and a beta female.
“Y/n, there you are.” The beta gasps and smiles walking up to her, grabbing her from Changbin to hug. Y/n stands still in both shock and fear. “Where have you been? You just ran off and we tried looking for you. Someone found your car abandoned at a park but you were nowhere around and no one came forward as witnesses.”
“But you told us she went to Japan.” Kwan looks at the two adults confused before looking at the omega then at Nobi.
“You two go back to playing with the other pups.” The older alpha tells them both. “You’ll be able to talk and ask Y/n questions later.”
They watch the teens run off as Changbin grabs Y/n pulling her back towards him and Jisung protectively, not liking the situation. The older male sees this, eyes narrowing at the scene.
“Thank you gentlemen for bringing our omega back to us.” He gives a forced smile that doesn’t reach his eyes. “As her pack alpha we’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again, we can’t thank you enough.”
“We’re not leaving her with you.” Jisung says out of nowhere, shocking even himself at his outburst as it usually isn’t like him, but he doesn't want Y/n to be taken from them.
“And who do you think you are to decide that?” The alpha steps closer to Jisung causing him to cower which Changbin wasn’t going to allow.
“Y/n’s fated mates, that’s who.”
“Even if you are, she’s still under my pack. I haven’t given her to anyone yet.” The man snarls and roughly grabs the girl's wrist, pulling her to him causing her to whimper.
Y/n doesn’t know what to do or say as her wrist now throbs from how hard he grabbed her. She feels her phone vibrating in her pocket but is too scared to move.
The older female looks Y/n over as if pretending to make sure she’s okay and gasps when she sees Chan's mating bite on one side of her neck. “You claimed her?”
“You claimed my granddaughter without even talking to me first?” He gets mad and shoves Changbin a little.
“STOP!”
Y/n’s grandfather looks at her angrily, questioning if she really just dared to speak. “What?”
“Stop.” She says again, tears pooling at her waterline. “I’m not coming back with you. I’m going back home, with them.”
“Y/n, we’ve been worried sick about you, we didn’t know where you went.”
“Then why didn’t you ever report her as missing?” Changbin asks, moving Jisung behind him as he tries to get closer to his omega to take her back. “You say you’ve been worried about her but yet she’s been gone for two weeks and there was never a missing persons report filed, I know because we checked. And if you really cared about her so much then why was she bruised, malnourished, and timid when we first found her?”
“Whatever that bitch told you is a lie.” He growls, hating that his own morals are being questioned. “She’s not mentally sane in the head anyways. Why she needs to come back with us.” He looks at the girl again and eyes narrow on the other side of her neck now seeing Felix and Minho’s bites and scoffs. “Always knew you were a slut, getting claimed by more than one man.”
“I’m not going anywhere with you.” She hisses trying to walk past him back to her mates but he grabs her wrist again and when she tries to pull away he slaps her cheek making her stop in shock.
Her grandfather moves to grab her again making the omega freak out as she tries to scurry away from him causing her to trip over her feet and fall to the ground.
“Get the fuck away from her.” Changbin rushes forward grabbing the other male just as sirens are heard along with several yelling voices heading their way.

Hii, you could do some Dave doing. Where the reader has curly hair, and she has always told Dave to define their curls, so one day they try it and he likes it. So every day before she goes to school she goes to his house to do it. that has a lot, a lot of lint.
I've always imagined Dave as the silly boyfriend who is so in love that he lets himself be done by his girlfriend, so why not
hi! sure, he's definitely like this. as a curly hair girl, that's basically the dream goal. hope you like it!

Dave considered your hair a masterpiece. It was so defined, so mesmerizing. It was impossible not to want to touch it, and he felt honored to be the only person you allowed to mess up the perfect finish just a little. But he wasn’t the only one admiring the curls, because you loved Dave’s curls too, and that was exactly why you knocked on his door an hour before school.
"Babe, what the hell are you doin' here this early?" he groaned, still half-asleep, opening the door and squinting through his glasses. He had that look of someone who was very much not a morning person.
"I came to give you a really good surprise," you said, your voice full of excitement, stepping inside and immediately getting out of the freezing cold air outside.
"Really?" he perked up, rubbing his eyes as he walked past you to close the door. He came back and wrapped you up in a hug, not letting go as you made your way into the kitchen. As you walked, he inhaled deeply, clearly appreciating the scent of your curls. "What is it?"
You set the bowl on the counter and pulled off the cloth covering it. "Voilá."
Dave leaned his head over your shoulder to peek at what you were hiding. "What is this?"
"Cinnamon rolls," you explained, slipping out of his embrace and moving around the kitchen with a confidence that made it feel like you lived there—partly because you practically did at this point. You opened cabinets, pulled out flour, and grabbed a cutting board. From your backpack, you pulled out a rolling pin and a small bowl filled with a shiny, thick liquid.
"Is that the filling?" Dave asked, clearly intrigued as he leaned over to get a better look. "Smells amazing."
"Yep, we’re gonna spread it on the dough, and you’re gonna help me," you said, smiling sweetly as you motioned for him to join you. He nodded enthusiastically, ready to dive in.
Making cinnamon rolls at the crack of dawn wasn’t exactly Dave’s idea of a perfect morning, but seeing how excited you were, he felt this weird urge to get involved in your little surprise. You’d always talked about how cool it would be to cook together on a date. But really, you couldn’t have chosen a better time?
"You’re gonna roll out the dough with this pin, spread the filling, and make little rolls," you explained, demonstrating your technique.
"Like this?" Dave asked, raising an eyebrow, his hands moving with surprising skill.
"Exactly like that!" you said with a big grin, grabbing some more dough. "You’re good at this, Dave. You’ll make a great helper for my next surprise."
"Wait, there’s more?" he groaned dramatically, raising an eyebrow as he finished shaping another roll.
"Oh yeah, and the cinnamon rolls will be your reward," you teased, noticing the dough was almost finished.
"Alright, alright," he grinned, still playing along. Minutes later, the rolls were shaped perfectly, and you placed them in the oven.
"Now, Dave, we’ve got the baking time to work on the next part of the surprise. Let’s head to the bathroom," you announced with a playful glint in your eyes, heading up the stairs. Dave followed, still a little confused.
"You’re way too mysterious," he laughed, glancing at you over his shoulder as you shot him a mischievous smile. "See? This is what I’m talkin’ about."
Once inside the bathroom, you closed the door behind you. You pulled your backpack off your shoulder, rummaged through it, and pulled out two containers, holding them up for him to see. "You're gonna shower and wash your hair with this."
"Is this part of the mystery, or are you gonna tell me what this stuff is?" Dave asked, his curiosity growing as he took off his glasses and set them down on the sink.
"You’ve always said you love my hair, so I figured I’d do yours the way I do mine," you said, raising an eyebrow, expecting him to catch on. But there was a clear look of confusion on his face followed by a shake of his head. "Come on, Dave. Please?" you pleaded, leaning in closer, and giving him your best puppy-dog eyes.
He squinted, pressing his lips together in thought. "Ugh... Fine, why not?" he finally agreed, flashing you a playful smile before pulling off his shirt and getting ready to hop in the shower. He glanced at you over his shoulder as he grabbed the waistband of his shorts. "Gonna stare at me the whole time?"
"I need to make sure you’re doing it right," you said with a straight face, although you could feel a smile creeping up.
Dave mumbled something about being embarrassed under his breath, pouting in that way that made you melt. You couldn’t help but smile, shaking your head at how adorable he was.
"Fine, but follow the instructions. Leave the mask on for five minutes, just like it says on the package," you said, giving him one last set of instructions before closing the bathroom door.
"You got it!" he called from inside, and you walked back to his bedroom to wait for him.
You prepared everything you needed: hair cream, split-end repair serum, gel, brushes, microfiber towels—everything to make his hair look perfect. You had to admit, this was so much fun, and you were excited to see the results.
Minutes later, Dave came back, a towel wrapped around his waist, water dripping everywhere.
"My hair’s never been this soft, check it out," he said, pulling a lock of his hair to show you. "It’s shiny. Is there glitter in this stuff?"
"Nope, babe. Just a good treatment mask," you laughed, turning away so he could get dressed in private.
"It smells just like those cinnamon rolls you’re making," he said, pulling on the bottom half of his clothes and choosing a shirt. "You can turn around now."
You turned back around and found him sitting on the bed, looking so cute and relaxed. You sat next to him, placing all the hair tools beside him. "Why all the stuff? Don’t you just brush it?"
“No, Dave. And to be honest, I do this every time I get ready,” you laughed, starting to comb through his hair to get rid of any tangles. “My hair doesn’t just get perfect on its own, you know?”
“But it is perfect on you…” he complimented, looking up at you, his eyes locking with yours. “I’m scared I’m gonna look like a damn clown.”
“You won’t, Dave,” you giggled, grabbing a towel to dry off the excess moisture from his hair and continuing to comb. “I’ve always wanted to do this to your hair, you know? Your hair is so beautiful.”
He shook his head slightly, confused. You took some oil in your hands, rubbed it together, and spread it through the length of his hair. Then, you grabbed some cream and worked it through evenly. Finally, you picked up some gel, and Dave raised an eyebrow.
“What’s that?” he asked, his face making a disgusted cat-like expression.
“Gel.”
“I know what it is, but why do you need it?” he asked, leaning in closer to smell it.
“To make your curls last longer,” you explained, applying a little and scrunching it to enhance his curls. “Done! First part's all set.”
“First?” he asked, his voice sounding a little whiny.
You cupped his face in your hands, giving him a quick kiss on the lips before pulling away to look at him. “Just one more step and we’re done, okay?”
“That’s a low blow,” he mumbled, then laughed softly. You grabbed a towel to wipe off the cream that had dripped onto his face, then went for the blow dryer with an attachment. “Now this I have no idea what it is.”
“It’s a diffuser,” you laughed, plugging it in and adjusting the device to work on his hair. “It helps dry the curls without damaging them or making them frizzy.”
“Whoa, this is a whole new world,” he said, his voice full of enthusiasm as he soaked in every moment of this pampering session. You were close to him, giving him special attention to make sure he looked perfect.
“Finished,” you announced after a while, adding a little more split-end repair serum to loosen his curls. “Okay, you can take a look.”
You stepped back so Dave could get up and walk over to the mirror. He touched his curls, laughing lightly and admiring how they turned out. “Wow… it’s like doll hair,” he whispered, pulling at one of the curls with his hand. “It looks like yours.”
“That’s because this is how I do it,” you smiled, walking over to him. “When you do it yourself, just grab a section of your hair and roll it like a cinnamon roll.”
“So that’s why you brought me the cinnamon rolls,” he rolled his eyes, smiling at you. “You’re clever. But just one thing… don’t your arms hurt from doing all that?”
“A little, but you get used to it,” you shrugged, still admiring his curls. The timer on the oven dinged. “The rolls are ready. Let’s eat and head to school.”
“Sounds good!” Dave grinned, and you both made your way to the kitchen. Dave loved the cinnamon rolls, and as always, everything you did seemed to be perfect. You packed some of the cinnamon rolls into a bag to take to school, and Dave grinned. “If I get these rolls every time I let you do my hair, I might just go buy that infuser thing.”
“It’s diffuser,” you corrected him, laughing. “And maybe I can reward you with that.”
That ended up becoming a routine, where you would do his hair every morning before school, sometimes even doing your own hair alongside his. It was kind of a fun little ritual, especially since the day before you’d been too lazy to do yours, and you took the opportunity to spend just a little more time with your gorgeous, curly-haired boyfriend.

hey so can I have Kurt x reader where neither has said I love you yet and they’re just spending time together, enjoying each other’s company and s/o actually springs on him “I love you” in german? He never taught s/o that.
~Sweet How The Words Slip~
Pairing: Nightcrawler x Reader
Word Count: 1.4k
Warnings: not a single one this is so cute
Genre: fluff
Summary: As it turns out, you're in love with your boyfriend, and now you have to tell him.
A/N: Thank you for each and every one of your requests <3
***
Jean and Storm are sitting on your bed while you clean your bedroom. You'd asked them to sit with you so you could actually get some stuff done.
"We're happy to be here while you do your chores or whatever but you have to spill." Jean says.
"Spill what?" You ask.
"I think she's talking about you and Wagner." Storm chuckles.
"Of course I am. They spend so much time together I'm surprised he's not hiding in her closet right now. I was starting to think we'd have to surgically remove him to ever get her alone again." Jean says and even though you're not looking at your you can feel her eyes roll.
"Surgically remove him?" You scoff out a laugh as you toss an old dress you never wear hiding in the back of your closet.
"Well yeah he never leaves you alone." She says.
"Alright don't talk about him like a pest he's- welcome. He 'never leaves me alone' because I don't want him to. I enjoy being around him as much as I assume he enjoys being around me." You shrug.
"Ah the honeymoon phase. Everything is sweet and perfect and the world revolves around nothing but your love." Storm teases.
"I didn't say any of that?" You frown.
"Everything isn't sweet and perfect?" She asks flatly.
"Well not perfect! Kurt is incredibly sweet so that's not really relationship specific but we're not perfect!"
"Girl who are you tryna fool?" Storm scoffs.
"It's fine if things are perfect. You're still so fresh I find it hard to believe you're already fighting." Jean says.
"We're not fighting." You shake your head.
"Of course you're not. He's obsessed with you." Storm says.
"Obsessed is a stretch I feel like." You say.
"It's not. He looks at you like you put the stars in the sky." Jean smiles.
"You guys are being ridiculous."
"So you're telling me he's not already planning the rest of your lives together?" Storm asks.
"Don't... get ahead of yourself Storm we've only been partners for a few months now." You say.
"We know it's on the horizon." Storm says.
"Yeah he's already made it clear how head over heels in love with you he is." Jean says.
"Girl what are you talking about?" You shake your head.
"What?" Her eyes widen. Even Storm shifts, sitting up in her surprise.
"What?" You ask
"The guy's been into you almost as long as he's been an X-man and you're telling us he hasn't said 'I love you' yet?" Jean gasps.
"Why are you freaking out? We haven't been seeing each other that long."
"It took him less than 6 weeks to make you his girlfriend after he finally asked you out, he had a crush on you for years before that and you don't think it's I dunno surprising that he's not said 'I love you' already?" Jean asks.
"No, I don't find it surprising. He's probably trying not to freak me out."
"What?" Storm asks.
"I dunno I'm sure he's getting advice from Logan or Scott and they probably told him it'd be unhinged to say I love you in the first 30 days of a relationship and now he's paranoid about saying it too soon. What if I don't say it back?"
"Would you?" Jean asks.
"Would I what?" You ask.
"If Kurt came in here and said 'I love you' would you say it back?" She clarifies.
"Yeah I think I would." You nod.
"You think?" Storm asks.
"Well I've never really vocalized it, but since you've asked and I'm actually considering it saying it back feels right."
"You gonna let him know that?" She chuckles.
"Sure! At some point, but it's not like he doesn't already know I care about him." You shrug.
"But that's not always the same thing." Jean shakes her head.
"What?" You frown.
"It's very squares rectangles. Of course you care about the people you love but you can care about people without loving them too. Especially as a superhero, you care about most people, but you don't love all of them. You love him, and caring about him is nice but he'd be foolish to assume that it implies the other thing here." Storm says.
"You have to tell him how you feel, it's important that he knows how deeply you feel because I'm sure he's probably terrified he likes you more than you like him and that's-"
"Okay Jean stop. I get your point. I'll tell him that I love him just- chill out."
"Chill out?! You just realized you love your boyfriend and you weren't even going to tell him."
"Okay well in my defense if we hadn't had this conversation I probably wouldn't have had that realization today so- there'd be nothing to tell for a while maybe." You say.
"But now there is something to tell!"
"I know, I know! I'm gonna tell him, calm down."
"You better or else."
"I get it, you're invested, no need to threaten me." You scoff.
There's a knock on your door that pulls all of your attention to it.
"Come in!" You say.
"Hello liebling- oh are you busy? I didn't know Storm and Jean were here." Kurt smiles peaking his head through your door.
"Not busy! I was just cleaning and the girls are here to help me stay on task." You smile at him.
"Are we still on for movie night later?" Kurt asks.
"Of course. Did you pick a film yet?"
"I did. I hope you like the choice."
"I will. Anything's great if we're watching it together." You say.
"Agreed. Snacks?"
"I'm on it. See you in a few hours."
"Can't wait." Kurt says and slips back out.
"Wow that was so freaking cute!" Jean gushes.
"Oh man I almost said it just then." You gasp.
"What?" Storm asks.
"Just then, before he left? I wanted to say 'I love you', had to catch myself."
"Awwwww! Ugh I'm so jealous." Jean sighs.
"Wow, you really are just so into each other." Storm muses.
"Yeah, I guess."
"It's cute, don't get all shy now." Storm smiles.
"I will kick y'all out if you don't quit it."
"Fine, fine. We'll stop." Jean throws her hands up in surrender.
"Thank you. Sheesh." You shake your head.
You spend another couple of hours on your chores, talking about any and everything, besides your relationship with Kurt. Eventually though, you do need to meet him for movie night so you shoo your friends out.
Something you've been doing passively and in secret is learning German. When Kurt talks to himself it's always in German and while he's never expressed that he struggles with English, he's clearly more comfortable in the former. You figure you could kill two birds with one stone here, confess your love for him and surprise him with a bit of your new skill.
The movie Kurt picked is one you've seen before, but he seemed so excited to see it that you wouldn't tell him that. Plus you like the movie, so you don't mind watching it again. You're nearing the end of the film and part of you is getting a bit nervous. You told yourself you'd confess tonight because you can't imagine holding onto this information. I mean, you knew for 5 minutes and you almost told him. You are not equipped to keep this a secret from him.
"Wow- that was such a good movie! Did you enjoy it?" Kurt asks looking at you.
"It's a great movie. I really liked it." You nod.
"We should watch another. Do you have one that you'd like to watch? Or rewatch maybe?"
"Kurt?"
"Yes liebling?" Kurt's eyes widen, he's giving you his full attention. You bring a hand up to his face, cupping his cheek as you look at him just as intensely as he's looking at you.
"Ich liebe dich." You say. "You love me?" He whispers. "I do." You nod, smiling at him softly. Kurt jolts back, blinking wildly. "Wait sorry I don't think I heard you correctly. Did you say that in-"
"Ich liebe dich." You repeat. Kurt lets out a soft sound as the disbelief on his face melts into a smile. His eyes are so gentle, so full of emotion that they're glistening, it's almost cartoonish and under different circumstances you might've giggled.
"You- you learned to say it in German?" Kurt sounds so light, just barely above a whisper.
"Ich unterrichte es selbst." You say just as softly back. You're teaching yourself. That's what you told him.
"I had no idea. Why didn't you tell me?" Kurt smiles.
"I wanted to surprise you." You tell him.
"Oh I'm surprised alright." He chuckles.
"I love you." You say grinning.
"I love you too." He says back and you gasp.
"You do?" You were fully prepared to not hear it back tonight.
"Of course, more than anything."
"I'm really happy." You practically sigh.
"As am I." Kurt wraps his arms around you tightly and there's literally nowhere else you'd rather be than here.

Adam sighed. He's too old to deal with this shit.
Adam: Next time, you take one. Or two at the most, alright? Don't take a whole damn handful, you little bastard.
Lucifer laughed: twoooo then~.
Adam: Yeah, two... now go to sleep, okay?
Lucifer whined: What if you're not here?
Adam: When?
Lucifer: W-When I wake up...
Adam sighed. It'll be great revenge to leave this fucker alone. But he couldn't do it. It must be Charlie rubbing off on him because seeing Lucifer clinging to him and worried that Adam's going to leave, actually made him feel bad.
Adam: ...I won't leave.
Lucifer smiled and nuzzled into Adam's chest: I would~. I diiid~.
Adam sighed: I know you did... go to sleep, yeah? I'll be here...
The king stayed silent as his breathing evened out.
Well, it looks like Adam's trapped for a few hours. Poking the kings shoulder, he didn't move or anything.
He should push this fucker off him. But he couldn't it. Wiping his eyes, Adam cursed himself. He's meant to be over this bullshit.
And here he is, getting emotional about bullshit that didn't matter. Lucifer will probably wake up and be pissed off again. He only came here cause he's off his ass.
Adam: ...Fuck sakes...
-
Lucifer slowly came to, groaning as he moved to sit up. Great, now his back was killing him.
Looking around, his eyes widened whe. He noticed he was in Adam's room. That's when everything came rushing back.
Looking to his left, he smiles softly.
Adam stayed. And he's asleep. And he doesn't look like he's going to wake up any time soon.
Tucking a strand of hair behind his ear, Lucifer jumped when his phone started buzzing.
Char: Hey, dad. Could you come downstairs?
Smiling, Lucifer sent Charlie a quick text before slowly getting off the bed and walking out of Adam's room.
-
Lucifer: Hey Char. What's up?
Charlie: Angel wanted to speak with you, dad.
Lucifer: Oh?
Lucifer looked up as Angel awkwardly walked over. Was he always this tall?
Angel: Uh- heya, short king.
Lucifer smiled: Evening Angel.
Angel: I uh... just wanted to apologise again. That was really shitty of me- I just... didn't think.
Lucifer: Thank you for saying that, Angel. I'm sorry I freaked out, but I'm sure you understand.
Angel: You're okay, Lu. I get ya. I'd be protective over my kid if I had one.
Charlie smiled as her dad and Angel talked, sharing a drink at Husks Bar. She was so distracted that she almost didn't see Alastor standing next to her.
Charlie: Oh! Al-! Sorry, I didn't see you there!
Alastor smiled: That's quite alright, my deer. Would you be able to alert Adam that we need to start dinner preparations.
Charlie: Yeah, of course... I haven't seen him since this afternoon, actually. I'll go find him for you.
-
Adam was sitting on the edge of his bed when he heard someone knock at his door.
He swears if it's fucking Lucifer, he's kicking his ass. He begged Adam to stay and then once he's awake, he fucks off?
Little prick.
Charlie: Adam? You there?
Sighing, Adam got up and opened the door.
Charlie: Oh! There you are! Al wanted me to get you for dinner prep!
Adam groaned. Fuck sakes: Yeah, thanks, babe. I'll go see him.
Charlie: Great! Thank you, Adam.
Adam waved her off and headed downstairs- where that short bastard was drinking. With Angel. He left him to come drink?! Little cunt.
Lucifer: There he is! Looking so awake this late at night!
Adam: Fuck you.
Angel and Lucifer laughed, making Adam glare at them.
He's over these bastards. He needed to get out of here, but it'll have to be after dinner. Fuck it all.
The Hotel Yard
Adam: So, Lucifer hadn't heard this yet but there is an AI version of our show already.
Lucifer: Shit, okay.
AI Lucifer: Hello everyone I'm with my co-host Adam. And might I say you look like you've escaped from a mental institution.
Adam: So already you start off with insulting me
Lucifer: Yeah but we take turns
Adam: Giving blows to each other
Lucifer: Yeah we take turns blowing each other.
Adam: HAHAHA!!
AI Adam: That's not nice Lu
AI Lucifer: No, but you want to know something else? We're gay for each other.
Lucifer: What!? Hahaha!
Adam: Fucking Jesus hahaha!
I love these goobers so much 😂
AI Adam: We love recording this podcast. But our fathers hate us.
Lucifer and Adam nearly die if laughing.
Lucifer: W-What the fuck?!
Adam: It's not fucking wrong, dude!

Don’t Worry, Baby
Hyunjin x Fem Reader
Requested by: @hyuneskkami
Word count: 985
Genres: Fluff, highschool, burnout, comfort
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These days it really felt like you went to school just to wait to go home.
Your teachers’ voices tended to drone on in your head, but you never really heard anything. Just the soft tick of the clock on the wall—waiting for the next bell to ring until the last one chimed and you could walk out of the door and carry yourself home.
It had been like this for a while now.
You used to enjoy school, the learning, the friends, but lately with so many classes and the pressures to do well and maneuver life, things got hard. Things got muddled. Your own inspirations and motivations fogged over, leaving you barely picking up a pencil.
Today was no different, a sigh leaving your lips as the last bell rang. It felt like you’d been holding your breath all day. Gathering your bag, you start to leave the classroom, abandoning the chemistry lab to start your walk home.
“Hey, ___, wait up!” You hear. A familiar voice, one who always drew you out of these odd days.
Turning, you couldn’t help but smile a little as you see Hyunjin jogging over to catch up with you, a warm and excitable smile on his own face.
“Hey..” You say, slowing your steps to fall in line with his own.
“Do you wanna hang out today?” He asked, his voice warm and presence next to you even warmer.
Alas, you frowned and sighed, turning your eyes to the sidewalk as it moved along under your feet.
“I.. I really need to catch up on some work.” You admit, the weight not quite off your shoulders. You’d been pushing back your assignments, leaving them until the last minute to turn them in with half-hearted effort later.
Hyunjin, however, seemed to know that you really wouldn’t work on it at home. So he pressed, “Me too,” a grin brightens his face again, a hand coming to tug a strand of your hair gently. Teasing, like always. “We can work together if you want.”
Your face grew a little warm at that. Maybe a study buddy was the motivation you needed…regardless, the company would be nice. So, you relented and nodded, a small smile gracing your lips as well.
“Alright, sure..”
⊹₊⟡⋆。°✩。°⋆⊹₊⟡
The walk home to your house wasn’t long, and the air slowly chilled on your skin. Hyunjin followed you into your home, where the warm air was a relief. Toeing off your shoes and sweaters, you took him upstairs to your room.
You felt your face grow hot immediately after you opened the door—it had grown a bit messy, your lack of motivation following you home even to your comfort space.
“Sorry.. um….” You started to pick up the clothes strewn about your room, the messy textbooks that littered your desk.
But Hyunjin just smiled and chuckled, shaking his head and going to sit down on your bed comfortably. “Don’t worry about it—my room looks worse.” He assures you.
The thought was..comforting, to say the least. Maybe you weren’t the only one struggling these days.
Going to join him on your bed, you sit crisscross in your uniform, taking out your notebooks and assigned homework. You already felt reluctant to do it—but a blanket draping over your lap interrupts your thoughts.
Hyunjin had draped it over your legs with a polite smile, speaking softly again to you. “Here, it’s pretty cold.”
His eyes seemed to admire the rosiness in your cheeks whenever he treated you so kindly. Turning away again, you both quietly got to work on your respective assignments. For some reason, just having him next to you, knowing he was there, made you feel..a little better. Your pencil moved across the page easier than it had in weeks, and anytime you paused, Hyunjin leaned over to offer his advice.
Before you knew it, you had finally finished a whole paper. Before the day it was due.

Hyunjin smiles and takes it from you, pretending to look it over while rubbing his chin.
“Mhm..mhm.. looks correct.”
You can’t help but laugh out loud at his “teacher” impression, snatching your homework back. “Okay okay whatever.. like you can do biology calculations anyways.”
“Hey! I helped you, didn’t I?” Hyunjin quipped back, grinning and laughing with you.
The sun had fallen just on the crest of your window, the room becoming a dull, warm shade of marigold. Your eyes drew to the clouds and neighborhood resting out your window, and let out a soft sigh. This might’ve been the most relaxed you had been in.. a while.
It was nice.
Hyunjin nudges you after a bit of quiet, his smile softer. “You okay?”
A tiny smile tugs the corners of your mouth. You nod in return, “Yeah.”
With that, he seems to almost relax. He worried about you, even when you didn’t notice it.
An arm suddenly and gently comes around your shoulders, and he pulls you into his side. It surprised you, but it wasn’t unpleasant..
Despite the blush in your cheeks, you pressed your head into his shoulder, letting him rub your arm up and down in a comforting motion. You glanced down into his lap, where his sketchbook had sat.
Your fingers couldn’t help but reach out, tracing the lines he’d drawn. It was your room, sketched just as it was. But he made it look..beautiful.
He smiled sheepishly, watching you appreciate his light sketches.
“Sorry.”
You lift your head now, raising your brows to him. “For what?”
Hyunjin just smiled more, looking embarrassed.
“Well, I.. didn’t have any work to do. I just.. missed you.” He admits.
A little part of your heart swells at that. You give him a gentle nudge with your shoulder before settling your head back onto his shoulder. “..stupid.” You mumble.
He chuckled at that, giving you a little squeeze of a hug.

“Yeah… Stupid.”
Thank you so much for reading! I will be taking more requests if anyone is interested!

left ✧ tsukishima kei x fem!reader ✧ smut ending
Tumblr media
note: beware of the ending, it sucks. i wrote this at 4am and realized i was making it way longer than intended so i tried to give it a decent end (failing). it’s also not really proofread so beware of terrible writing & hideous grammar too lmao. mdni.
tw: drunk sex. oral (both r! & tsukki! giving and receiving). fingering (r!receiving).
Tumblr media
“so,” tsukishima spoke next to you in a low voice, so that only you could hear it, stopping your zoning out.
you turned your head to him, the voice of the others fading into background noise. “mh?” you hummed, with your cheeks still full of food, inviting him to go ahead.
“how did you sleep?” he smiled, perhaps trying to sound somewhat innocent, although you understood immediately what he was hinting at.
playing it cool, you swallowed your bolus.
“pretty good. what about you?” you held the fork in your hand, partly covering your lips; something you had the habit of doing when eating in company of others.
for a moment, you left your eyes wander on his lips as he spoke.
“amazingly.” he responded, shoving a forkful of the pasta on his plate in his mouth. you watch the way his adam apple moves when he takes a swallow, thinking, for a moment, that that’s how it might’ve looked like yesterday, when he had his tongue inside your mouth. your eyes ajar slightly at the memory of how it felt.
though that wasn’t the place, nor the moment, to think about such things. you weren’t alone.
of course he didn’t really give a shit about it.
“everything alright?” he asked you, seemingly amused.
he knew what you were thinking about. it was written all over your face. or perhaps you were like an open book to him.
or, perhaps, he knew it because he was thinking about it too.
you cleared your throat, fixing your position on your chair, that was suddenly so uncomfortable. “yes.” you murmured, unable to hide your shame in being so goddamn obvious.
“huh? couldn’t hear you.” he leaned in to you, a grin from ear to ear that you wanted to smack away like never before.
“yes.”
“y/n, you look a little red.” shimizu pointed out, almost making you jump. you hadn’t notice her looking at you. was she listening to what you’ve been saying?
“ah, am i?” you nervously laugh it off, low key cursing your friend in your head for saying something like that out loud so carelessly.
“totally. here,” she chuckled, opening a bottle of water and pouring some into your glass, “have this.”
“should’ve given me some wine instead.” you laughed, drinking the fresh water in your glass. you weren’t one to drink, but it could’ve helped to ease up a little.
“hah,” tsukishima scoffed, “you? drinking?”
you turned your head to him again. “yeah,” looking right into his eyes, you grabbed the bottle of red wine the waiter brought on the table a couple moments prior, opened it, poured some into your glass and slowly consuming it, never detaching your eyes from his. “drinking, like this. what about it?” you deadpan.
and he didn’t as well. he kept eye contact all the way, until you put the glass back on the table, which made it way harder for you not to turn red. “nothing. can i have some too, miss?” he asked, that arrogant smile never leaving his lips.
“sure.” filling his glass to the brim, you mimicked his tone of phrase. “as much as you want, sir.”
“get a room, you two!”
the both of you whipped your heads towards the voice it came from, finding a little yachi looking at you with a raised eyebrow. “seriously.” she added after seeing your shocked faces, a smirk you’ve never seen on her doll face.
heavy silence fell between you two as you noticed that also daichi, sugawara and shimizu were peering at you with what looked like amusement on their visages.
kei cleared his throat with a cough that sounded vaguely forced and went back to eat, before attempting to change the subject.
you still noticed the subtle blush on his cheeks, though.
apparently, you weren’t the only one who wasn’t expecting the others to have heard your interaction.
“any, uh..” he drank another glass of wine, licking his lower lip, where a drop was starting to slide down his chin, “any new about the team we’ll play against after winter break?” he inquired, a question thrown in the air to be answered by anyone, but he specifically looked at daichi for a response.
“nope, nothing. they’ll let us know on monday or close.” daichi spoke with his typical fatherly voice. “m’kay.” dryly replied the tallest, pouring himself yet another glass of wine.
“woah, slow down, tsukki. leave us some.” yamaguchi chuckled, teasing his friend. “he’s right. at least ask us if we want some as well.” you joined in.
tsukishima huffed. “anyone who wants a sip?”
everyone shook their heads. everyone except you.
“me.” holding the glass between your index and middle fingers, you slid it towards his direction.
he looked at you, and wordlessly filled it halfly. as he was placing down the bottle, you grabbed its neck.
“don’t be stingy.”
an inquisitive stare began showing on his traits, looking at you in such way you didn’t know how to interpretate.
you wanted to ease up. and it was doing the job amazingly. so much, that you didn’t even realize you were slowly getting light headed.
seeing he wasn’t budging, you sighed. “c’mon, just one more glass. i know what i’m doing.”
“do you?” he pried, that tint of concern that made those butterflies dance in your stomach every time.
“mhm.” you pointed your half filled glass with your chin. “don’t be boring. you’re not my dad.”
he kept still a couple more seconds, but, in the end, he gave in, adding another two inches of the fruity liquid, which you wasted no time bringing to your lips to relish it fully.
your throat burned, but it wasn’t an unpleasant feeling.
the others had returned to each minding their business, when shimizu offered to go outside to smoke a cigarette. it wasn’t her habit at all, nobody’s habit in your group, however, just like it wasn’t your habit to drink, she wanted to do that in that social situation.
after all, a cigarette wasn’t gonna kill anyone.
just like another glass for you, you thought.
most of the members got up from the table, basically everyone. shimizu was the only one who wanted to smoke, along with yachi and asahi, but they hall felt the urge to go outside to take a break of fresh air and stretch their numb limbs, that had been sat down for a good hour now.
which left you, tsukishima and other members who were too far from you to be minded at all, alone in that big table.
a sigh flied out of your lips, the afterstate of the alcohol lingering in the walls of your mouth. without thinking twice, you grabbed the bottle once more.
“you shouldn’t do that.” his tone reverberated in your ear, like a warning.
“i’m still doing it–” you began, “then fill mine too.” he interjected before you could finish.
you rolled your tongue on your teeth within your closed mouth to hide the grin that threaten to betray your pokerface you’ve managed to hold for quite awhile.
you filled his glass, after you did with your own.
“cheers.” you lift your glass. he meets it, then a ‘clack’, and you’re both shoving the booze down your throat once again.
“you know,” you start, your inhibitions fading away every seconds that goes by. “i’ve bought you something.”
“me too.” he stated, unfazed, placing down his glass. he shifted his position on his seat to face you, moving his right elbow over the chair and his left one on the table.
“oh?” your heart fastened. “what is it?” you question.
he fidgeted with his black tie. “i’ll show you later.” he murmured.
“what? no, you can’t tell me this after you’ve made me curious!”
“oh, i can.” his foot gets between your legs the moment you move to face him as well. your breath cut short at the gesture, without really opposing to it.
“why?” instead, you ask.
“because. don’t insist.” he slides up his foot, reaching your knees.
instinctively, you close them, squeezing the tip of his shoe between them.
his gaze falls down. “what are you doing?” you question, tightening your squeeze as you feel his shoe trying to move forward. “we’re not alone.” you alert.
your statement makes him go quiet, getting lost in his own thoughts briefly.
“would you let me do it if we were alone then?” his tone cuts short too, his ears turning peach.
“do what?”
it was useless to lie or play stupid anymore. you knew what he wanted to do, god, everyone noticed the sexual tension since the beginning of that dinner.
and you wanted too. still, you needed to hear him say those dirty words. you wanted to see for how long he could keep going, before giving in. because, as much as you wanted, you were not gonna give in first.
“say it.” you loose your squeeze a little, just to make him come closer your crotch. after a couple more inches, you tighten the squeeze again.
his chest rises and falls at the view, unable to unlock his gaze from your thighs, his cheeks now visibly red, a mixture of the alcohol and excitement. “hey, now,” his whisper closer to a whine. a beg.
the sound of a door being opened and voices chatting in the distance made you snap away, pushing his leg away from your body. “uh—” he jumped backwards, gripping the chair’s backrest as to not fall down.
without being given time to realize, your friends had returned to their little outside break. kyoko, daichi, tadashi, sugawara and yachi all went back to their respective seats around you and kei, along with the other guys at the other end of the table.
“my god, you actually finished the whole bottle?” tadashi lifted the empty bottle with his hand, shocked to see not even a drop was left at its bottom.
you raise your face to him, taken aback by his sentence. “i’m so sorry– i’m gonna buy another one for you only, guys.” you looked at the bottle, noticing just then that you seriously finished a whole bottle with him in less than an hour.
“no! no, it’s fine.” yamaguchi laughed, ashamed. “i didn’t mean to actually make you feel bad, sorry.” he scratched the back of his neck, flashing you a sweet, displeased smile.
“i don’t care, i’m buying it anyway... i genuinely didn’t realize.” you got up from your seat, your purse in your hands. “be right back.”
quickly, you pulled your coat over your shoulders, heading towards the bar at the other part of the restaurant, crossing the hall hastily.
you walked up to the bartender, ordering two more bottles, each with a different flavor as to accommodate to your friends’ personal tastes.
as you wait for the barman, who has went to grab the bottles in another nearby room, you feel a pair of hands go to lay on your shoulders.
“sly, smart girl.” tsukishima whispers in your ear.
heath spreads all over your body as his warm breath tickles your ear. you grab his hands and place them on your hips.
“finally noticed, huh.” you whisper back, leaning the back of your head on his shoulder. “took you long enough.”
his thumbs draw circles on your hips, pulling them against his groin, his head buried in the crook of your neck.
your eyes widen when you sense his erection on your ass.
“give it to me.”
and that was all you needed to hear to let go of that last drop of dignity that the alcohol hadn’t taken away from you still.
“there you go!” the bartender returns to the bar, the two bottles you’ve ordered in his hands. but the girl who had come to take the order is not there anymore.
your back hits the cold tiles of the restroom aggressively, legs hooked around his waist as he holds them up in place with his hands, fingers digging into the naked flesh of your thighs.
“hey-” you gasp, out of breath, as his tongue slides up your neck, sucking on its sensitive skin to leave red hickeys all over it, making your eyes roll back in ecstasy. “take those off,” you ask, no, beg, tugging pathetically at his boxers with pure need.
his pants are scattered on the floor, his boner throbbing into his now too tight underwear, rubbing against your covered clit, soaking those poor panties to the point of wetting his underwear too.
his head moves away from your neck in hearing your request, strings of saliva rolling his chin from both corners of his mouth, to watch your face.
“no, you take them off.” is his only reply, dropping you down from his hold and taking a step back, standing still in front of your hyperventilating, messy frame.
your eyes fall down on his bulge, staring at it for so long he begins to chuckle. “first time seeing one?” he asks.
you don’t respond. instead, you take a step closer, kneeling down, so that your face was right in front of it. your hands are shaking mildly, but his legs are as well, so you’re not too bashful about it.
“first time seeing yours.” you murmur, feeling your chin being lifted of a couple inches, his thumb on your lower lip.
“suck it.” he moves his finger upwards, into your mouth. you suck on it for only a moment, feeling it leave your mouth almost immediately.
“no,” he laughs under your confused face, “not this one.”
your fingerstips curl on the fabric of his underwear, as your lips start printing slow and wet kisses on his pube, slipping them down. your hand goes to grab the shaft, while your tongue slides down, beginning to suck on his balls.
you stroke his dick up and down multiple times at a slow pace, before sliding your tongue from his shaft to the tip, finally taking it into your mouth with a hum.
your hands caress his tense abdomen, his thighs, his hips, as your tongue runs all over his veins, your head moving back and forth in smooth movements.
his hand goes on your head, guiding your movements, hissing pleased sighs with clenched jaw, fighting the urge to pull his dick down your throat further.
you take it out your mouth to slap your tongue with it, whilst continuing to stroke it with your hand. when you’re about to start sucking it again, he moves backwards, his back hitting the door.
“i wanna do that to you,” he pants, going to grab your triceps to pick you up from the floor.
you place your hand on his nape, jerking his face towards yours to kiss him avidly, tongue seeking his. he doesn’t pull away for a hot minute, until pushing you on the toilet, spreading your legs and kneeling down between them so rapidly you can’t even think straight anymore.
you watch as he removes the remaining cover up of your pulsating pussy, wasting no time and burying his head between your legs, lifting them over his shoulders and beginning to lick your entrance with such energy you find yourself struggling to stay put.
“fuck,” you throw your head back, your clit swelling up as his tongue stimulates your good orgasms, making you forget everything else, even the public place you’re having sex at.
“feeling good?” he questions, hot breath against your cunt causing shivers to roll down your spine. “yes,” you cry, pushing his head against you, “keep going,” you hiss.
soft moans fill the room as his middle and ring fingers penetrate you, curling into your morbid walls, sloppy sounds so awfully good to hear growing as he fastens his speed, making you go nuts, moaning and whimpering like the slut you were for him.
tsukishima knew you were nearing your climax when your breathing began so fast you sounded like you were crying, begging to go faster, and faster, and faster—
two knocks on the door. then a phrase.
“guys, are you done fucking in there? we’re about to go.”
spoke a voice you haven’t heard well enough to recognize who it belonged to from far behind the door.
you were a total mess, dripping liquids from your freshly fucked hole, with your shaking legs still around his neck.
and he wasn’t any better, being completely naked, crouched in that filthy bathroom floor with the taste of sex in his mouth and his sticky fingers and upright, sore dick.
you looked at the door, then at each other, a mixture of fear and frustration on both your messed up faces.
another voice laughed from behind the door, “y’all did get a room in the end.”
this time, there were no doubts whose voice that was.

Almost Hate | M Boldy
Tumblr media
Summary: a reconciliation with Matt wasn’t in the cards for you.
-
Boston College had been big enough that you and Matt could’ve easily avoided each other. But for some reason, the universe had other plans.
From the moment you met, there was something off between you. No real reason, no dramatic backstory—just a constant, simmering tension that neither of you could shake.
Maybe it was the way he always seemed to have some cocky remark ready when you walked into a room. Or the way you refused to laugh at his jokes, even when they were actually funny. Whatever it was, it had followed you through four years of college, through mutual friends and shared parties, through stolen glares across campus.
And then, after graduation, life happened. You moved on. He moved on. That part of your life was over.
Or so you thought.
Minnesota was never the plan. But when a job offer came, one too good to pass up, you packed your life into a couple of suitcases and made the move.
You had been here for a few months now, slowly settling in, figuring out the rhythm of a new city. Which is how you ended up at a bar downtown on a Friday night, sipping your drink and regretting not leaving earlier.
Because the guy standing next to you? The one who had been trying way too hard for the last ten minutes? Yeah, he wasn’t getting the hint.
“Come on,” he says, leaning in just a little too close. “One more drink.”
“I’m good, thanks,” you reply, shifting back.
“You sure? Because—”
“She said she’s good, man.”
The voice is familiar. You turn your head and—of course, Matt Boldy is standing there, hands in his pockets, looking at the guy like he’s debating whether or not to shove him away from you.
The guy scoffs but mutters something under his breath before finally walking off.
You exhale, turning to face Matt fully. “Boldy.”
His lips twitch. “Still calling me that, huh?”
You roll your eyes. “What are you even doing here?”
He shrugs. “Live here. Play hockey here. What about you?”
“Same. Minus the hockey part.”
His gaze lingers on you for a moment, like he’s piecing something together. “Didn’t think I’d see you again.”
“Yeah, well. Life’s funny like that.”
The tension between you is still there, but it’s different now. Less sharp edges, more… curiosity.
He clears his throat. “Let me walk you home.”
You raise a brow. “Excuse me?”
“Just—” He shifts his weight, looking a little unsure for the first time ever. “It’s late. And that guy might still be around. Just let me make sure you get home safe.”
You hesitate, but the sincerity in his voice makes you nod. “Alright, fine.”
The walk to your apartment is quieter than you expect. The city hums around you, streetlights casting long shadows, and Matt walks a step closer than necessary, like he’s making sure no one gets too close.
It’s nice.
Weird. But nice.
When you reach your building, you turn to him, crossing your arms. “So. You save me from a creep and walk me home. What’s next? We pretend we don’t know each other for another five years?”
A smirk tugs at his lips. “Actually… I was thinking I’d ask you out.”
You blink. “What?”
He scratches the back of his neck, suddenly looking almost—shy? “Look, I know we had that whole ‘hate’ thing going on in college, but I don’t think I actually hated you.”
You narrow your eyes. “You don’t think?”
He chuckles. “I know I didn’t. I just—” He exhales, meeting your gaze. “I don’t know what it was, but it wasn’t hate. And now that we’re here, and I’m walking you home, and you’re still you, and I still… notice you—” He shakes his head. “I don’t want to waste time pretending anymore.”
Your heart stumbles over itself, but you keep your expression neutral. “So what are you saying?”
“I’m saying—” He steps closer, eyes flicking to your lips before locking back on yours. “Let me take you out. No tension, no bullshit. Just you and me.”
The old part of you—the part that remembers all the snarky remarks and stolen glares—wants to push back, to challenge him, to keep whatever this is at arm’s length.
But the new part of you? The one that sees the way he’s looking at you right now?
That part says, Why not?
So you tilt your head, smirking just a little. “Fine. But if you annoy me, I’m leaving.”
He grins. “Fair deal.”

A Stage of Healing
The Play is Over but the Script Remains/Scriptfrin Saga
For anyone who doesn't know, "Scriptfrin" is a Siffrin who sometimes goes semi-verbal after the loops, (mostly) only able to repeat the "script" from his time in there. I have a bit of it up here, but most of it is in this series on AO3 (though for the general concept, you can just read "Line, Please.")
Months after the loops, Siffrin and their family are walking around a town and Bonnie happens to notice samosas in the window… the thing that they had basically every blinding night in the loops. Siffrin is clearly bothered, but not in the way you'd expect. All this leads to a long talk, a one man performance, and a lot of laughs. Humor and Hurt/Comfort (heavier on the comfort).
Crossposted here on AO3.
(And always, if you like what I do, reblog, leave a comment, or maybe buy me a Kofi?)
“Oh oh oh! Guys! Look, this place has samosas!” Bonnie said, tugging them through the streets of Bagon. Even amongst Vaugaurde, the area was known for its cooking. The smells of food filled the streets, enough to make even the pickiest child consider trying something new, and the outdoor market was in full swing now that it was warming up again!
It was that perfect time of year where spring made it warm enough to travel, but still cold enough to enjoy some nice, hot food (and oh Change, being medicated again made her hungry!), or at least Mirabelle thought so! It was still too cold for Bonnie and Odile, and Siffrin kept pretty warm with his cloak, but she and Isabeau seemed to like it!
And speaking of Siffrin, he was staring at where Bonnie had seen samosas on the menu. While they were all getting better at reading Siffrin, sometimes it was still a little difficult. This was one of those times. His head was tilted, an odd look in his eye. Not necessarily upset, but not exactly happy either. He opened his mouth like he was about to say something, but only a breath came out.
It wasn’t just her that noticed. Isabeau put a gentle hand on their shoulder, not minding that Siffrin jumped before settling into the contact. “You alright, Sif?”
“Huh?” Siffrin blinked owlishly. “Ah, sorry. Was just remembering something.”
Odile’s eyebrows shot up. “Oh? Remembering what?”
“Remembering loop stuff…
Loop stuff? From samosas?
Bonnie jolted. “OH RIGHT!!! Crab, sorry Frin! I forgot that’s why I stopped making Samosas! ‘Cause you had ‘em every day in forever school.”
Oh that’s right! Mirabelle had forgotten that Bonnie made samosas that day, but makes sense Siffrin wouldn’t have…
Bonnie took Siffrin’s hand to start tugging him away. “We can go somewhere else-“
“No.” He said it a bit too seriously, which he must’ve noticed as he smiled and mussed up Bonnie’s hair. “I can’t deny my Bonbon TWO of their three favorite foods!” He looked back to the shop. “Besides, I’m pretty sure they sell more than JUST Samosas. Though they might not be as… as…” They scrunched up their eye, glaring at the sign for a moment. Then their eye widened and they puffed themselves up as they said, “DE~LI~CIOUS as yours would be.”
“Why’d you say it weird?” Bonnie asked.
“I was trying to sound like Isa? It’s, uh… been a while. Since I heard that.” He trailed off again, staring into space…
Odile went over to the door and said, “Would you like to have this talk on a chair with some hot food, or would you rather keep staring through the window like an incompetent stalker?”
“Madame!” Mirabelle squealed. You can’t just?! Say that?!
But say it she did, and everyone else was laughing, even as Siffrin also tried to sink into his cloak like a turtle.
“Yeah yeah, we should go in. But, um… I need time. To get thoughts together first? And not do this in public?”
“Reasonable enough. Now get in, I’m cold.”
They all filed inside. Only Bonnie ended up ordering the samosas, but none of them entirely missed the way that Siffrin eyed them.
————
They were all back at the nearest inn… which was fairly packed, given that spring was here. Mirabelle wasn’t the least bit surprised. After all, Spring was quite important in the Change religion! A time for new growth, a fresh start, and a reminder that while Change was destruction, it was creation too! A lot of people celebrated by picking up new hobbies, clearing out some space for those hobbies and just tidying in general (Spring Cleaning!), travel, and bonding ceremonies.
All of this to say, there was only one room available… but Madame Odile was pretty insistent on NOT having only one bed, and somehow they ended up with three. Mirabelle made sure to slip extra tips to the poor staff, that was mortifying! Though the space was nice…
“I call Mira!” Bonnie said, grabbing her hand. She could only yelp in shock as they were both catapulted to the nearest bed, making it thunk against the wall.
“Can I call Sif?” Isabeau said, chuckling at the not-actually-a-question. Even in the days before they saved Vaugaurde, it was rarer that they didn’t sleep together.
Siffrin stuck his tongue out and, “Nah. Isa…” they trailed, took a quick breath in, and smirked, “Isa has to sleep on the floor.” They looked over to Odile for a moment, then jumped a few inches when Bonnie laughed instead.
“FINALLY! No more being gross!” Bonnie cheered.
“I was just joking,” Siffrin said.
“BOOOOOO!”
“Yaaaaaay!” Isabeau said, even clapping his hands and looking all sparkle-eyed at Siffrin (how had she missed that they liked each other?!)
“Heh! Heh…” Siffrin trailed off again.
Oh Change. “Hey, Siffrin? Are you okay?” Mirabelle walked over and… wait, crab, what does she do with her hands now? Um… “Pat Pat!” Head pats, sure! Wait… Oh Change, he actually leaned in that’s??? So??? Cute?!?!
Siffrin smiled, eye shutting, and let out a sigh. “I’m alright, just…” He shuffled his feet, looking down, then up again, staring at the ceiling.
“Is this related to earlier in any way?” Odile asked.
Siffrin looked aside. “… maaaaaybe…”
“We aren’t doing anything too close to the loops, are we?” Isabeau said. “I’m willing to actually sleep on the floor if-“
“NO! I mean, kinda, but also no? You don’t have to sleep on the floor, Isa. And it’s, um… weird.”
“Yeah, well, you’re weird! And we like you that way,” Bonnie huffed. “So out with it!” They scampered over to the door and held their arms out. “No escape!”
Siffrin blinked dumbly. Once. Twice. “Snrk-“ He plopped down on bed and started laughing. “Oh come on! I’m not that bad at talking…” he looked around the room and added, “…anymore!”
Odile nodded, “I will concede, you’ve gotten better. But Boniface, stay there.”
“Sorry ‘Za! I’m the Defender now! Ehehe.”
“Oh nooooo!” Isabeau said, dramatically swooning onto the ground in exaggerated defeat. Everyone laughed. Some a little, some a lot, but they all laughed, even Isabeau!
Change, she loved these people.
“So then… Siffrin…” Mirabelle stepped closer with the utmost seriousness. Siffrin trembled before her! “You will…” Pause for dramatic effect, hand on her currently missing sword (she was in pajamas after all)… “Talk about your feelings!!!”
“NOOOOOOO!” Siffrin moaned, collapsing onto the bed and snickering. Though he sighed and rolled to look at all of them. “… but okay. Just… promise you won’t find it weird or wrong?”
“Of course, young one.”
“Sif, we aren’t going to judge you!”
“Never! Never ever!”
“I mean, you are weird, Stupidfrin, but tell! Us!”
Siffrin squeaked and rolled into a ball like a little hedgehog.
Mirabelle couldn’t help but giggle, “Oh no! We came on too strong!” She sat down in bed next to him.
“Scared like the stray animal he is,” Odile tutted.
Maybe it was a little mean to poke this much fun when he was having problems… but it seemed to relax him, actually? She could say from experience that treating it too seriously was anxiety inducing itself!!! A cornered animal bites!
Siffrin pushed himself up, shuffling close enough that their knees and elbows bumped together, but not much else. “Thanks guys.” In… out. “I dunno how you guys are so sweet when I’m so weird…”
“Like Boniface said, we already know that. It’s going to take more than a few new quirks to scare us off.”
Blushing, Siffrin tried to bury into their collar, but he was in night clothes. No cloak! So cute! Everyone was nice enough not to mention it.
They continued, “It’s just…” He looked around as though looking for a distraction, but no one was interrupting. “With the samosas, it, uh… Took me a moment. To remember. What you guys said.”
Odile raised an eyebrow. “And that’s… bad?”
“It shouldn’t be…?” Siffrin squirmed. One of his hands found one of Mirabelle’s. She gave it a little squeeze, and he gave one back. “I mean. I… Let’s talking about something. Stars-!”
Mirabelle squeezed his hand again. “There’s no rush.”
In… out. In. And out. “Thank you.” One more time. Big breath in… big breath out. “I guess it surprised me more than anything. Which is? Kinda dumb???”
Isabeau tried to cut in, “It’s not-“
But Siffrin kept talking, “I was careful! No wishes! No ‘Hi Isa, I need to do the Favor Tree thing!’ Even though I thought I wis- though I wanted to forget. But I didn’t mean those parts!” He held tighter to her hand, breath quickening. “I wanted to forget the King and the Sadnesses and the Head Housemaiden! Not you guys!”
Everyone tried to act at once, tried to protest, but Mirabelle was closest. She took his face in her hands—ignore the way he jumped, the moment of panic, the memory of a slap—and made him look her in the eyes. “Siffrin. You are NOT forgetting us! We’re right here, okay?”
Bonnie barreled into him, Isabeau showed a little more restraint and just opened his arms for the group hug, and Odile messed up his hair a bit from the side.
“Yeah! No way you can forget me!!!” Bonnie shouted.
“I would hug the memory back into you,” Isabeau said.
Siffrin snorted, relaxing into the group hug. “Thanks guys, heh. Sorry, like I said. It’s a little bit weird, but I guess…” he had to stop to breathe again. “I guess a lot of things. I don’t want to forget more. Some part of me’s scared I’ll somehow forget my scripts and just go entirely mute. And it’s- it’s the only proof I have that it happened, because it didn’t! It didn’t happen to anyone else. Not on the loop that stuck!” His grasp on them tightened. Not painfully so, not when spread out across three people, but it was noticeable. “And it’s kind of not blinding fair! I- I… ‘I’d rather you ask everyone else if they need help, first.’ And I did! And- and THANK YOU SNACK LEADER FOR THIS DELICIOUS MEAL! and Fromage and… and it… How can I help you on this wonderful new loop…”
He let out a bitter laugh. “… it didn’t happen.”
No one knew what to say. What even could they say? There was a heaviness in the air, an oppressive silence. It felt like if something broke it, everything might shatter…
But Change is destruction, and Mirabelle was a Housemaiden. “It happened to you.”
“But-“
“No, Mirabelle is right,” Odile said. “Even if it didn’t technically happen to anyone else, it happened to you for the equivalent of months. And if I recall correctly, you’ve mentioned before that that was your rock bottom, as it were.”
“I don’t think anyone blames you for feeling cheated, Sif,” Isabeau said. “Or for missing good memories, or, uh… wishing things went better.”
Siffrin sighed, resting his head on Isabeau’s shoulder. “I just, I just wish- wait! No. I want you guys to remember too. But I know that can’t happen without, um, actually wishing it. And no thank you. I think sharpening my dagger is the most wishcraft I want anymore.”
“Fair and valid,” Isabeau said.
“Yeah… though I feel like it’d get confusing, having two memories of the same day,” Mirabelle said.
Siffrin gave her the most deadpan look and-
“Oh Change, I guess you technically do have a lot of the same day huh,” Mirabelle said one quiet breath.
Siffrin chuckled, “Understatement. Though for better or worse, the fact that I, uh, didn’t change much made parts of it less confusing? Like…” He looked around and his eye widened. “Y’know, if you push that bed off the far wall to be more in the middle, it looks like the clock tower…” He trailed into mumbles as he just… apparently decided to do that! Without much issue! Sometimes Mirabelle forgot how strong they were now.
Isabeau, regardless, decided to pick up the other end and help. “Uh. I am going with this because you started it, but why are we doing a thing that seems kinda tailor made to trigger you, Sif?”
“I have, like, half an idea. Working on it,” Siffrin said as he set the bed down.
“Curious as I am, I’m with Isabeau on this one. This seems ill-advised,” Odile said.
“That took, like, five seconds. We can move it back!” Siffrin huffed, sitting on the newly moved bed. “Besides. They’re way closer.” The room was quite a bit smaller than the clock tower after all, not really meant to shove all five of them in there.
“Oh! Are we making one BIG bed?” Mirabelle said. “Ultimate bed!!!”
“Gross, Frin! I don’t wanna be next to you and Za KISSING!”
“I agree with the preteen,” Odile said. “Veto’d.”
“That’s not-!” Siffrin huffed and pulled his legs in to sulk.
Oh no! “C’mon, we should probably let Siffrin think! And then tell us, um, what he’s thinking,” Mirabelle said.
“Thank you!” Siffrin said, flopping onto his back with an overdramatic huff. There were a few chuckles, but then they let the poor guy think.
Siffrin took a deep breath. “So… I know I’ve been, uh, a little skittish. With play stuff.” They’d tried to see one once or twice, but he couldn’t step foot into a theatre without looking like he was just… empty. “But maybe I could act it out…?” His voice hoy quieter until it was a near whisper, eye averted…
And she couldn’t blame him. Isabeau and Odile both looked like he’d suggested going to swim with Sadnesses, and Bonnie looked to Odile and tried to mimic it.
“Sif, I don’t think-“
“Don’t be stupid, Frin-“
“Young one, this might not-“
“I THINK IT’S A GREAT IDEA!” Mirabelle shouted… and jumped, surprised at just how loud that came out. And oh Change, all eyes were on her now! But… oh, just pretend they’re in their underwear… hmm, that doesn’t work as well when you’ve had to wash clothes and bathe in rivers and have actually seen that.
Deep breath, like Siffrin! They’re her friends, and it’s her turn to help. She walks over to Siffrin, sitting beside him and pulling them up enough to take their hands in hers. “I know it might sound a little counter-intuitive, to do something relating to what scares you, or, um, trauma in your case, but sometimes it’s good to? In little ways where you have control!”
She rubbed the backs of his palms with her thumbs. “It’s kind of like reading horror books? Getting to be a little scared, but safely? Or, hmm… no. Not reading… writing fanfiction! All the control is in my hands! I can make it horrible if I want, or can make them live happily ever after, or can have them face my greatest fears in front of an audience and make out over the gorey remains! And yeah, maybe it’s scary, but it’s safe scary? My, um… some of the other Housemaidens who are good at medicine and therapy and stuff recommended it, actually.”
She smiled at Siffrin, putting a hand on his cheek. The rest are probably staring at her, but this is no grand stage. It’s… “It’s us, our family! Not a whole theatre, not Dormont, or a House or anything like that. You’re safe here with us, and you can stop or break the script whenever you want, okay?“
He was looking at her like she was the one who made the seasons change and sun move across the sky. “Okay.”
She stood up and clapped. “Good!” And then dared look around. Everyone was staring!
“So, did you take a class on psychology, then?” Odile asked.
“Three. One of which was actually theatre related!”
“Crab yeah Mira!” Isabeau pumped his fist for her.
“You guys are nerds,” Bonnie said.
They couldn’t refute that!
“Snrk- yeah, we can’t all be as cool as you, Bonbon,” Siffrin said. “So… if we’re good, do I just, like, do it…? I mean, the scene setting is already here.”
“What, by yourself?” Odile said.
“I’m not writing you a script and having you do it. If I see you guys say and do those things again, it might actually give me a panic attack,” Siffrin said. He stood up on the bed. “Sorry guys! One man show!”
“One! Man! Show!!!” Bonnie cheered. “Should I make popcorn?”
“I mean, yes, always,” Isabeau said. “But how long should this take?”
“Not long. Two minutes or so? Provided you don’t combust, Isa~”
“Wait, why would I combust???” Isabeau was already blushing some, holding his hands up defensively.
“EW! I don’t wanna hear you pretend to be Za being mushy! We get enough of that!”
Siffrin smirked. “Okay, but, then you can laugh at me being Isa being mushy. And you’re in this scene too!”
Bonnie’s eyes went wide, mouth open in childish awe. “Am I yelling at you?”
“Mmmmmmaybe~” Pause. “Yes.”
“I KNEW IT!”
“Oh I’m going to have to give the neighbors something to make up for this,” Mirabelle whispered to herself. It wasn’t too late though, so hopefully they weren’t in, or at least weren’t trying to sleep.
“Dile! Get the tea heater!” They pulled out a small pan and lid from their bag. “I’m making POPCORN!”
“Guess we’ve got a few minutes before the show. Everyone take your seats~”
“There is only one chair, and I claim it,” Odile said.
“Overbooked! A tragedy!” Isabeau said with an exaggerated gasp and hand over his heart.
Mirabelle, meanwhile, felt some of her theatre classes coming back. Just the rehearsals though! There was a play, but she panicked so hard that poor Junette had to just throw on the bonnet she was supposed to wear and, well, improving that that mother requesting help was the secretly the villain in disguise was sheer genius, actually!
Wait… “Oh!” She pulled an extra bow from her bag and gave it to Siffrin. “Here! To play me! Um, assuming I’m here?”
“You were!”
“Hmm, probably better than you attempting to do accents. Because, young one, if I didn’t know you, I’d think your attempt at mimicking me was offensive on purpose,” Odile said, smirking at Siffrin.
“Sorry Madame.”
“Here,” she passed him those weird, opaque glasses that they’d… wait… when did she get those???
“What about you, Bonbon. Should I steal your hat~?” Siffrin teased, inching to where it was piled atop their things.
“No. Borrow a spatula.”
“Bon yes bon!” They pulled a spatula. Brilliant!
“Wait! What can I give you…?” Isabeau said, making a sad puppy dog face. And that was fair! Siffrin’s ears weren’t pierced, and putting earrings on and off would be a chore anyways. And Isabeau’s gloves were just too big for Siffrin’s hands!
It apparently stumped everyone as they just stared…
Until Bonnie said, “Make your hair stand up like a bird’s.”
That alone got a chuckle out of some of them, and it turned to outright laughs when Isabeau fake cried, “So MEAN! I’m not a bird. I’m buff!”
“The buffest of birds,” Siffrin said, pressing again Isa and standing on tiptoes to kiss his cheek.
Bonnie threw some corn at them.
“Worth it!” Isabeau chirped.
The popcorn was ready shortly afterwards, salted and put in a little bowl in front of everyone. Siffrin was on the bed, stage right. He spit in his hand to spike up his hair, like a bird!
“Sif…” Siffrin deepened his voice, prompting snorts from all of them at his attempt to sound like Isabeau. “Hey… hey Sif. Siffrin. Siffarooni.”
Siffrin then scooted over and tamped his hair down just to look behind him then quickly scoot back and fluff his hair again. If the ridiculousness of such an act weren’t silly enough, it was clear he was aware of this, trying not to laugh.
He took a deep breath and got back “in character,” looking at the empty space in front of him with the biggest, puppiest eye he could muster. “Um… Sorry? To wake you? I just have to tell you something. If that’s okay?”
“Oh crab, I didn’t!!!” Isabeau groaned, pressing his hands into his eyes.
“In front of my Belle?!” Bonnie said, gesturing to Mirabelle like she was an art piece.
Siffrin once more played “himself” and nodded before doing his silly little scoot back to being Isabeau. “Okay, okay, okay. Then I shall tell you the thing! The thing I woke you up to tell you!”
“Siiiiiif I take it back let’s end this!” Isabeau groaned.
“Quiet, I’m watching the show,” Pdile said, taking a handful of popcorn.
Bonnie seemed considerably more interested in laughing at Isabeau, but Siffrin didn’t seem to mind.
Siffrin continued, unmoved by the begging. “Haha! Um. So.”
“The thing I have to tell you. Is. That…” Siffrin looked off to the side, a snort escaping as he caught Isabeau’s clearly shaded face. Still, he delivered his line. “I don’t have anything to tell you right now. But I will, when, uh, we beat the King, okay?”
“Oh Change and I said this every night, didn’t I? Aaaaargh that must’ve gotten so crabbing annoying!” Isabeau moaned.
“Now you know how I feel!” Bonnie said.
Siffrin was back in his place, but… “Uh… hmm. Breaking character of, uh… myself? A sec? Eventually I just got quiet but that’s more sad than funny, so we’re doing the funny one. Okay back to it!” He cleared his throat. “That is still SO ominous, Isa.”
Back to Isa and oh Change he actually did a really good impression of Isabeau’s flustered face! “I, uh, just don’t wanna tell you right now when it might distract you! Wouldn’t want that! So, uh, I’ll tell you when we beat the, um, King, okay?”
Siffrin looked at them, opened his mouth to say something, then it split into a head manic grin as an idea hit. Oh Change here we go.
Siffrin bolted up, snapped, grabbed the spatula and a pillow, threw it, dropped the spatula, and lunged for the bed so it hit him in the face.
“SIF?!”
“Pfffft, hahaha!”
“PILLOW! THROW!”
“Hahahaha! Oh noooooo!”
They had to take a short intermission from everyone laughing too hard. Once, even twice it almost ended, but someone snickered and started it again! But third time’s the charm.
Siffrin picked the dropped spatula back up, “I’ll wash this after,” and then got on the middle bed and pointed accusingly at the empty bed, “SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP!”
“HEY I DON’T SOUND LIKE THAT!” Bonnie huffed.
“Oh he’s trying,” Mira said. Though truthfully, the squeaky voice Siffrin had chosen was awful.
“You hit me with a pillow?!” Isabeau said.
“I would’ve used a book,” Odile said.
Siffrin hit the bed and set the bow on his hair. “YEAH ISABEAU! SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP! CLOSE YOUR MOUTH AND SLEEP!”
“PFFFT, Belle sounds like a mouse!” Bonnie said. “Belle’s on my side Belle’s on my side!”
Then Siffrin rushed over to stage right once more, slicking hair in the midst of a fit of giggles. “CLOSE YOUR MOUTH HOUSEMAIDEN! YOU’RE GONNA WAKE UP M’DAME ODILE!”
“How could I have slept through this?” Odile said.
Siffrin went to the far bed, stifling giggles behind his hand before putting on the dark glasses and somehow managing to be utterly serious as he said, “I’m already up.” He didn’t bother with a voice, but got the tone scarily serious.
“Oh, so I didn’t,” Odile remarked.
“And if the noise continues, I will stand up. You do not want to know what will happen if I stand up.”
Aaaand right back to the energy. He looked exaggeratedly spooked as he picked up the spatula and dove under the covers. “Sorry.” Then tried to roll over, presumably to be Mirabelle, and-
THUMP! “NYA!”
“Did you-?”
“Did he-?”
“Did Sif-?”
“Did they-?”
“Stars- YES I JUST SAID NYA!” Tangled in the sheets, Siffrin had hit the floor, and now was hiding in the covers, wiggling futilely for a few seconds before giving up. “… for the record. That did not happen. Uh… crew? A little help? Rather not cut these.”
Mirabelle giggled as she got up, helping get the sheets off without having to resort the scissors craft.
Siffrin brushed the dust off of him, held the bow up, and gave a quick little, “Sorry.”
Then went back to be Isabeau. “Sorry m’dame…” He looked appropriately abashed, but the look turned into one of a familiar, adoring smile. “Good night, Sif!”
“Aaaaaand scene!” Siffrin said, standing back up and giving a little bow.
They all clapped for him, even if Bonnie was breathless from laughing and Isabeau was still dark-cheeked.
“Good job, Siffrin!” Mirabelle said, going over and playfully spinning him… and forgetting their current lack of space, squawking as they both tumbled onto a bed, laughing and breathless.
Isabeau must’ve gotten jealous as he scooped Siffrin into his arms and started kissing his cheek! “Mwah mwah mwah mwah mwah!”
“GROOOOOOSSSS!” Bonnie whined.
Siffrin was laughing so much that both he and Isa had to sit down a minute, but eventually Siffrin got back up to put the bed back, then munch on some popcorn. “Mmmmm, good as always, Bonbon~” They mussed up Bonnie’s hair with a smile as more salty snacks disappeared into their mouth.
“I AM the best chef cooker after all!” Bonnie said, little chest puffed out.
“You are!” Siffrin said. He went a bit quiet for a moment before saying, “Speaking of that, we’re near a market anyways… wanna try making those fritters again? Maybe with a few spicy peppers?”
“YEAH!!!”
“We might wanna grab something for the neighbors too, if only to apologize…” Mirabelle said.
“And we haven’t been kicked out yet, so to bribe the inkeepers as well,” Odile said.
“MADAME!”
They went into another bout of giggles and finished up the popcorn before going to brush teeth and settle in…
And in the dark and quiet, as she was starting to drift off to sleep, she could hear Isabeau say, “And hey Sif, just gonna tell it this time… I love you!”
“I love you too!”
Mwah!
And that night, everyone slept well.
