Oh how I miss you, frozen Barbados Gooseberries.
#there is/was one! one! local farm that grows and sells those that i know of. and of course no grocery stores have them here#that farm is the only reason i even know they exist to miss them#but they don't have a farmers market booth anymore and i dont buy their boxes so…no barbados gooseberries for me#uuuuugh they're so good#especially frozen#using tumblr like a diary#they look a little bit like cape gooseberries but taste nothing like them#cape gooseberries have a sort of sweet-savory thing and barbados gooseberries have a sweet-sour thing#texture is also v. different
