Pairing: Takanobu Aone x gn!reader

Warnings: fluff, friends to lovers, little bit of a slow burn, there’s an oc (idk if that counts???)

A/N: I saw something that said that Aone would point at someone that he likes, so I thought I could write somethin with that lmao, and after reading a whole bunch of Aone fanfics, I am now apart of the Aone bandwagon

“How’d the practice match go yesterday, Aone?” You’re busy digging through your locker trying to find your textbook. You stop when you realize that you get no response from your white haired best friend.

You look over the door. "Aone?" He's not focused on you, but something behind you further down the hallway. You turn your head to see what he's looking at. You feel yourself scoff fondly when you see a girl standing at her locker, and you turn to say something to him when you see his arm raised,  his index finger pointing right at her.

Your eyes widen in alarm as you walk around your locker door to push his arm down. "What the hell are you doing?" You grunt as you force his arm down, and then he looks down at you. "You can't point at a girl who you think is cute in the middle of the hallway! I thought you only did that to aces on the team you're playing against."

When you get his arm down, you turn back to look at the girl, who's now walking away, and you turn back to find your textbook. "You should go talk to her."

"What should I say?" he asks, and you cheer in triumph when you find it, closing your locker before looking at him.

"Well, do you know her?"

He shakes his head. "I know her name."

"Well, that's a start. Do you have any classes together?" you try, and he nods. "Okay, then try and start a conversation with her. Maybe like how boring the class is or something."

"But I don't think the class is boring," he deadpans, and you chuckle in defeat as you drop your head.

"Right, of course, you do," you mumble, and the bell rings. "Come on, big guy, we'll figure something out," you say as you pull on his arm to lead him down the hallway.

"So, how'd it go, Aone?" you ask as you start eating your lunch.

"What are you talking about?" Futakuchi asks, words garbled by the food in his mouth.

"Aone has a crush," you respond, and the scowl on Aone's face deepens as you laugh. "What? You do. And did you talk to this crush?" you question, and he turns away from you trying to fight the blush finding its way onto his face. Aone tried but he didn't know how, or what to say. He sits right next to her, and he had multiple opportunities, and he just couldn't find the courage.

"You expected Aone to talk to a girl on his own?" Futakuchi jokes, and you slap him lightly on the arm.

"Stop," you chide, and you turn back to the pink-faced boy. "Okay, so how about you try--"

"Y/N!" You're cut off by a voice, and the three of you turn towards the door, seeing the same girl that has Aone's attention, walking towards your desk.

"Speak of the devil," you whisper, ignoring the fact that Aone is staring a hole through your head right now. "Emiko, hey!" you respond as she stops in front of your desk.

"Do you have the shirt?" she asks, and you lean back in your chair to pull the shirt out of your desk, handing it to her. "Thank you so much!"

You wave her off. "Oh, it was no problem. Let me know if everyone else likes them." She nods and starts to walk away, but not before glancing at Aone that you don't miss. You're still not looking at Aone after she walks out, your attention focused on your food.

"You know her?" he speaks, and you turn your head towards him.

"Huh? What?" you respond quickly, feigning innocence. Aone's glare doesn't falter, and you sigh as you roll your eyes. "I don't know her like that, she just heard that I make shirts so she wanted me to make some for her club. She wanted a shirt to see if they would like the design."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I knew that you would've asked me to talk to her for you. Besides, it's obvious that you caught her eye anyway." The look in Aone's eyes changes to confusion. "She looked at you before she left. It was so obvious."

"Well, I was in the vicinity." You roll your eyes at his dull response, your thumb pointing at Futakuchi. "She didn't look at Futakuchi. So, that means you've got a chance. You've got like one foot in the door." You see Aone looks confused at your statement, and you sigh in defeat. "Okay, I'm going to help you, but I will not talk to her for you."

When Aone sees Emiko the next day, he luckily doesn't point at her, but he does stare at her. "Don't stare at her so hard, she's not going to disappear," you say, looking at your phone, already knowing that he's looking at her, and he looks at you.

"Why don't you say something to her instead of staring at her," Futakuchi adds as he walks to stand next to you.

"What should I do?" Aone asks, and you look up from your phone, meeting his eyes.

"Be yourself," you tell him, knowing that he's fighting the insecurities in his head. "Don't change yourself for her. You're already amazing as is, and if she can't see that, she's not worth it." You smile, your words nothing but honest, and you see the look in his eyes change to something that you can't read. Before you can question it, Futakuchi speaks up.

"Don't freak out, but she's walking over here." You and Aone break eye contact, seeing that your friend's statement was true. Her eyes on the three of you, and you see Aone tense next to you.

"Hey," you say, softly, putting a hand on his arm, "relax. Just talk to her, okay?" He nods just as Emiko walks up.

"Hey, Y/N, the club loved the shirt, so I just wanted to ask you if you could make some more," she says, and you see Aone deflate in the corner of your eye.

"Yeah, of course, I'll get them to you by the end of this week. I'm glad they liked them."

"Thanks again, you're a lifesaver, really."

You laugh off her words as you wave your hand. "Seriously, it was no problem." You all think that's the end of the conversation, but then she turns to Aone.

"Hey, Aone, you have a tournament coming up, don't you?" You have to hold back your laugh at Aone's face, you don't think you've ever seen him so surprised but doesn't respond. You lightly slap his arm, and he seems to jump out of whatever trance he was in.

He nods slowly, and you glance at Futakuchi as he holds back his laugh, his smile covered by his hand, and you fight the smile trying to rise on your face.

"Well, I finally have some free time, so I'm coming to see you play," she responds, waiting for a response from the tall boy, and you glance at Futakuchi because Aone hasn't responded, and you hit his arm again.

"Okay, cool." You and Futakuchi cringe at his emotionless response, and you look at Futakuchi who mouths 'he's hopeless' and you smile widely, covering your mouth.

"Well, I'll see you," she starts to walk off. "Thanks again, Y/N." You smile at her, and she looks at Aone one more time before she leaves. You wait until she's out of earshot, and when she is, you and Futakuchi both crowd Aone.

"Good job, man," Futakuchi congratulates, and you nod as you lightly punch his shoulder.

"What did I tell you? Now you're like through the door," you say, and Futakuchi rolls his eyes at your comparison. "You could at least have a little smile on your face," you add, and when he looks at you, a small smile appears on his face.

You walk past the gym on your way home when Futakuchi calls your name from the doors. "Hey, Futakuchi, what's up?" you ask, walking towards him.

"You got a minute?" he asks, and there's something off in his voice.

"Yeah, is something wrong?" you ask, cautiously. He sighs as he looks behind him, and then looks back at you.

"How do you feel about Aone?" The question throws you off, and you smile in confusion as you squint your eyes.

"I mean, he's my friend, so..." you trail off, not knowing where he's going with this conversation. He sighs again, shaking his head.

"No, I mean, how do you feel about him?" Your eyebrows crease at his emphasis.

"Are you asking me if I like Aone?" you try, and Futakuchi raises his eyebrows. "I mean..."

"Don't tell me that he's your friend. I know you feel differently about him." At his words, you feel your shoulders slump a little, and you scoff before you find your words.

"It doesn't matter, he doesn't like me like that anyway, so I'm going to help him get the girl that he likes," you say, and for the first time you feel your heart break a little at those words. Futakuchi gives you a pitying look. "Look, it's fine," you say, dismissing the look on his face. "I'm okay, really, I don't even think about it anymore."

He goes to say something, but someone yells his name. "I'll see you later, Futakuchi." You don't give him a second glance as you walk away from the gym, continuing your journey home.

Why did Futakuchi have to bring your feelings up? You don't know, but now your thoughts are filled with them. You've had doubts about how you feel about your friend, but you brushed it off multiple times, but now, consumed by your own thoughts, you hate that you can confirm how you feel about him.

You don't know when it started, but you started to notice whenever your heart would skip a beat when you would make him smile or on the rare occasion, laugh. It could've been the first time he was okay with you hugging him. You try to forget how nice his arms felt around you and how warm he felt, but you could never get it out of your head, no matter how many times you tried.

As you struggle through your thoughts, you wonder why Futakuchi asked you that question. You just assumed it was because of Emiko, and he just wanted to see how you were feeling. But you were fine. Sure, it hurt your heart a little, but you were fine. At least that's what you tried to tell yourself.

You smile to yourself when you hear the cheers of the Date Tech fans as you get closer to the entrance to the stands. You walk in and the cheers get louder, hearing a block coming from the court as you find a place near the railing. You smile when you see the team cheer for Aone, so you assume he was the one to get the block point.

"Y/N?" You turn your attention to the voice, and you see Emiko walking up to you. "I didn't know you were gonna be here."

"Yeah, I had some free time, so I thought I would surprise Futakuchi and Aone." She stands next to you, resting her hands on the railing. Aone gets another block, and the cheers beside you get louder again.

"Aone really is amazing. I always heard that his blocks were hard to break through," Emiko comments, and you nod in agreement.

"They don't call their blocks the 'Iron Wall' for nothing." The opposing team calls a time out, and you can help but feel bad that they don't know what to do to get around their blocks.

"He's really intimidating," she adds, and you laugh lightly as you lean on the railing.

"Yeah, on the court and at first glance. But he's a really cool guy once you get past that hard exterior. Took me a while to get past it when I first met him. You'll get there eventually, just give him some time."

"Oh would you look at that, she actually came," Futakuchi notes. "She's standing to the left of the fans. He sees Aone look the wrong way, and Futakuchi rolls his eyes. "Your left." Aone looks the right way, and Futakuchi speaks up again. "And Y/N's here too. That's a surprise."

The boys walk back onto the court, but Futakuchi misses Aone's dilemma. When he found Emiko in the stands and saw you standing next to her:

His heart skipped a beat at the sight of the wrong person.

"Hey, they're looking over here!" Emiko says, and you turn your attention to the court, your eyes landing on your friends. She waves to Aone, and you give him a thumbs up with both hands as you smile, but your smile drops a little when you see Aone's face. Emiko can't tell, but you can see that something's wrong written on Aone's face.

"So, how's it going with Emiko, Aone? It's been like two weeks, and you haven't told me anything, and to say the least, I'm a little hurt."

"It's going," he responds, and you would've rolled your eyes at his statement, but there's an edge to his voice.

"What's wrong? I thought it was going good," you say, and he takes his phone out of his pocket, tapping the screen a few times before showing the phone to you. It's a text from Emiko.

"She broke it off?" you ask after reading it, and Aone grunts as he puts his phone back in his pocket. "Aw, I'm sorry, Aone. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." His words say one thing, but the look in his eyes says another as he looks at you. You're about to ask him about it when the bell rings. "I'll see you later." He walks away before you can get a word in, and you open your mouth to stop him but you close it soon after. You know that he sometimes hides his feelings, so you decide that you'll just talk to him about it later.

You turn to start walking to class when Emiko comes up next to you, walking with you. "Hey, Y/N, is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I think Aone's taking it hard. Thanks for letting him down easy," you respond, and she stops walking, making you stop.

"I wanted to keep it going, but it's hard to steal a guy's heart when someone's already done it." You tilt your head in confusion at her words.

"Someone's stolen Aone's heart?" He didn't tell you. But why wouldn't he tell you?

"You don't know?" Emiko's words break you out of your thoughts, but they make you more confused. She looks at you for a little bit before she chuckles. "Tell me how it goes." Then she starts to walk away, confusion the only thing filling your mind as you blink dumbly. What is she talking about?

You wait for Aone to walk out of the gym, and when his brown eyes land on you, they widen in surprise. "What are you doing?"

"Walking you home, duh." You grab his wrist, pulling him away as you start your walk home. "If the whole thing with Emiko is bothering you, you know you can tell me, right?" He doesn't respond, and Emiko's words are floating around in your head, but you push them away. You don't press the issue any further, hoping that Aone will come to you, but you can help but admit that the silence between you two is almost deafening. The only sounds that come from either of you are the occasional scrapes of your shoes on the pavement.

When you get to his house, you keep walking up to his doorstep, and when you turn around, he's still standing on the sidewalk. "I'm trying to cheer you up, so come on." You walk towards him, pulling him towards the door.

"How about a dance party? I mean it'll just be the two of us, but I think it could work," you start when you get into the house, and Aone sits on the couch, and you look at him. "I'll start, and you can join in whenever you feel like. You have a sound system, don't you?"

You take your phone out, hooking up to the aux cord, and you start to look through your playlists until you scroll to your favorite one. You play the music, turning it up a little before putting your phone down and facing Aone.

"Actually, you might be tired from practice, so I'll dance and you tell me if you're starting to feel any better." You start dancing, and you really can't be afraid to make a fool of yourself in front of him. You always feel comfortable around him, making your insecurities disappear.

As your dancing, Aone finally realizes what his dilemma was about at the game. Seeing you in the stands made all those feelings he's been harboring for you come out without him even noticing. The feelings that he's been trying to get rid of ever since he met you. A smile comes to his face as you dance around in his living room.

The feelings that tell that he should've been pointing at you from the start.

When open your eyes, trying to see if Aone looks at least a little better, you see that he's pointing at you. "What are you doing?" you ask as you pause the music.

"You."

"Me what?" You're confused again, and you decide that you're tired of being confused. Aone stands up, walking towards you.

"I didn't like Emiko." You look up at him, his words not clarifying anything. "Because," he pauses and you notice his face starting to turn red. "You had already taken my heart."

You gasp at his words and suddenly, Emiko's words make sense. "What?" you respond softly, your brain not a functioning power.

"I like you, not Emiko." He takes a cautious step closer to you, and you don't move away.

"You like me?" you can't help but ask even though he just told you that. He nods firmly, and you can't help the shy smile that appears on your face. "I like you too," and saying those words out loud, you feel a huge weight fall off your shoulders. He returns the smile, and he takes a huge breath for confidence, and he starts to lean down towards you.

When you don't move away, the wariness in his movements leaves. When his lips land on yours, it feels like your body explodes, your heart pounding in your chest. He pulls away, and the kiss was too short for your liking and Aone's. His face is crimson as he looks at you, and you grab his hand, struggling to stop the smile on your face.

"Do you feel better?" and you decide that this is the biggest you've ever seen Aone smile.

"Much."

kevin moon is known on campus for two things: 1. his bright personality literally everyone loves him and if you don’t you’re jealous of him like sorry not sorry i don’t make the rules you know i’m right and 2. his.... unorthodox fashion sense. like eric thought his snake patterned shit was weird as hell?? but there are weirder things in kevin’s closet i swear to you. anyway this unorthodox style is what got him accepted into the fashion program at the university and even though there are a few assholes who stick their noses up at kevin’s work the vast majority of people are cool w his outfits even if they personally wouldn’t wear them and kevin is v well-liked in his major and on campus in general bc he knows everyone and is nice and polite and really a v cool person to be around when he’s not being a fucking idiot

and on campus there are fashion shows a few times every semester to show off the fashion majors’ work, and let’s just say that this university if p well know for its fashion major so some famous people sometimes come along to these events so EVERY TIME a fashion show rolls around the fashion majors get nervous as FUCK and there’s a lot of speculation on who will get noticed and whatever and everyone is secretive about what they’re working on and just. everyone goes fucking haywire and kevin is always v happy when the stress winds down after a show

(no one knows it but kevin has gotten offers from several companies to work with them after he graduates. he hasn’t told anyone except a few friends like juyeon/jacob and his family)

anyway you are also a fashion major who secretly really admires kevin’s stuff?? like you just think he’s so daring and creative and all of his work is absolutely amazing even if it’s a little weird and honestly you don’t even feel overshadowed by his talent and hard work you just feel in awe that you can be in his presence at all. you’re p sure kevin has no idea who you are bc even though you have a lot of the same classes you’re always too shy to sit or work near him bc even though he seems so nice and approachable he’s also just.... god he’s so good

BUT THEN. one of your professors announces that for the next fashion show they’ll be modeling projects that he’s assigning right now. which is weird asf bc usually you’ll all take your best clothing and like fix it or tweak it for the next show, like sometimes people will make something completely from scratch but that’s nerve-wracking and not many people do it unless they’re in a real pinch but it gets even WEIRDER bc this is not a regularly scheduled fashion event?? it’s like a smaller event apparently that they’ve organized just for this project AND THE WEIRDNESS TAKES THE CAKE when your professor says that YOU ARE GOING TO BE THE MODELS. YOU ALL ARE GOING TO PICK SOMEONE IN THE CLASS TO MAKE CLOTHES FOR AND THEY WILL MODEL YOUR OUTFIT

and this SENDS EVERYONE FREAKING THE FUCK OUT??? bc oh god you can’t rely on the models you’ve been using all semester now??? and you have to make flattering clothes for someone you might not even know v well and it’s just. holy fuck holy fuck holy FUCK

meanwhile you already know who you want to create for (/ahem kevin moon/) but you’re also chicken so like??? you’re just sitting in your seat looking over at him but not saying anything until your friend chanhee just pushes you out of your seat in kevin’s direction and is like GO ASK HIM BEFORE YOU LOSE THIS CHANCE and you’re like JESUS FUCKING CHRIST CHANHEE but kevin’s noticed your movement and he’s looking over with a smile on his face and you’re like jfc i can’t do this but chanhee shoves you again and so you kinda smile (you really hope it looks like a smile) and your voice is LITERALLY shaking when you go over and ask if it would be ok to use him as a model for this assignment and he’s like.... oh my god yes

because what YOU don’t know is that kevin has been ogling your designs all year?? like he enjoys his own style and is comfortable in it but he loves your work as in LOVES IT. he thinks your designs are absolutely flawless and original and you combine styles so effortlessly that he just wants to look into your brain when you come up with ideas bc what the fuck?? you may have different styles but kevin knows how to admire art AND YOUR DESIGNS ARE ART. 

so you’re reeling a day later bc now you have kevin moon’s number and he has yours and he’s now texting you on when you think you’ll have the first preliminary designs ready and when you can meet up so you can get each other’s measurements and all that and when you eventually meet up your hands are shaking so much that you can barely take his measurements and kevin is screeching in his mind as well bc oh my god you’re going to model his clothes YOU’RE GOING TO MODEL HIS CLOTHES

most people are again being secretive about their designs and even though someone in their class is modeling for them this time so there’s a bit less secrecy they’re still working alone so you get a shock when kevin asks if you want to coordinate your outfits. like work on designs together and maybe make something that matches a little though ofc retaining your own styles and you just shriek when you get the text and poor childhood best friend younghoon spills his coffee (you have been friends since basically birth and there are no romantic feelings whatsoever ok it’s strictly platonic like you watched younghoon vomit after eating too much bread when you were like 10 and he watched you get tangled up in a soccer net when you were 13 there are no romantic feelings stemming from any of that)

needless to say you reply yes yes ye sYES and kevin is grinning so wide on the other end that juyeon wonders if he’s gone slightly insane (which he has but we’re not gonna dwell on that) and both of you show up to the work rooms nervous as all hell (i’m not a fashion major i have no fashion sense i still think t-shirts/leggings are the way to go so idk how any of this works do not sue me) but kevin has a natural ability to defuse any tension in the room so within minutes you’re comfortable and laughing with him and wondering why you were so scared to approach him before and THEN YOU’RE REMINDED WHY when he shows you his design for you because... oh god.... it’s unbelievable. like it has a distinctly kevin feel to it but he’s clearly been paying attention to what you wear and what you design because it’s something you would like to wear and something you even think you could look good in. holy shit

and you just blurt out like kevin what the fuck this is so good did you like stalk my designs or some shit?? and you mean it as a joke ofc but kevin just goes beet red and mumbles something about how he really likes your work and how it’s so sharply elegant but also insanely creative and you’re just. open-mouthed like. dude i’m in love with your work too oh my god i’m gonna cry my fashion idol just said he likes my designs i’m gonna screaM

kevin stops you from screaming though even though he also feels like he’s gonna scream and this is the start of a very productive partnership between the two of you like most of the fashion majors are friendly despite the competition but you and kevin are on a whole other level?? and you start hanging out more and more often even when you’ve finished designing and are actually sewing (you ask him if this part can be secret bc you want to add a few things as a surprise - he ofc says yes and winks and tells you he has things he wants to add too which just makes you want to scream out of excitement)

and it’s a week before fashion show day and you and kevin are finished with putting together the designs and you’re excited as all hell and kevin is literally about to burst from his own skin and you insist that he goes first and when he pulls the outfit from the bag you’re just. in absolute awe. the colors match the design you made, it looks like it’ll fit, and even though it screams kevin moon it also has a distinct vibe from your own fashion style and you just yell KEVIN MOON YOU GENIUS as you snatch it from him and go change

(you don’t know obviously but kevin is blushing like a tomato while waiting for you to finish changing)

it fits almost perfectly, kevin marks a few places to fix and is debating whether or not to compliment you bc??? that sounds like he’s complimenting his own work and that’s egocentric as hell but then you say something like does it look fine and he just blurts out more than fine. you look great

AND YOU’RE SO FLUSTERED THAT YOU ALL BUT THROW YOUR OWN BAG AT KEVIN and are like GO CHANGE 

so he takes out the clothes and goes silent and you’re like.... oh my god does he hate it i mean we worked on the designs together and he said he liked it then but what if he changed his mind but then he looks at you and his eyes are sparkling and he’s like y/n this is perfect. literally perfect and he rushes to go get changed and when he comes out your eyes are bugging out of your head bc holy hell you pictured kevin in these clothes obviously since they were made for him but he looks so much better than you ever imagined

and then you blurt out something like holy shit you look beautiful

and kevin blushes again

anyway you both take your measurements and run out and then the day of the fashion show rolls around and both of you are freaking out backstage but the instant you two go on it’s like you both are literal gods bc you feel so confident in each other’s clothing and the crowd can feel it THEY CAN FUCKING FEEL IT and they go nuts when you two walk out!!! and even though it isn’t like a huge major fashion show, it’s just for this one project that your professors cooked up, you and kevin are both beaming like the sun when it’s over despite the fact that it wasn’t an important event bc holy shit you two had fun and everyone’s complimenting your clothing and it’s great it’s just great

finally all the chaos is over and the clothes have been put away and the makeup removed and you and kevin are now standing outside the venue in a kind of stunned silence that all of it’s over. it’s all over. and then you suddenly thrust out the clothes you made that kevin wore and tell him to keep it. it’s a present. and kevin takes it but he also forces you to take the outfit he made for you. and then there’s silence again

but if there’s anything you’ve gained over the past few weeks it’s a bit of courage. courage that let you talk to kevin, courage that let you design clothes for him, courage that let you become friends (and maybe something more) with him. you’ve also learned that kevin is a massive dork and a lovely human being and you’d really love to at least stay in contact so in that the moment you smile and say ‘if i asked you on a date, would you wear that outfit?’

poor kevin looks like he’s about to have a fucking aneurysm and you start to lose confidence but then he’s nodding like there’s no tomorrow like yes ye sYE S OH MY GOD YE S and omg you now have a boyfriend whom you like very very much and kevin has a partner whom he likes very very much

you two may not be a pda couple but you ARE that couple that matches every outfit they wear, you make jewelry and accessories for each other and also make each other clothes every so often. everyone is jealous of your combined fashion sense bc even though the outfits might look outrageous, you two both manage to pull them off and look fabulous at it, but also they can’t even be that jealous bc you two are the sweetest couple and are absolutely lovely 

both of you do wear the outfits you made for that show on your first date which is to like a musical or smth bc theatre kid kevin is something you can pry out of my cold dead hands and everyone’s staring but you two are in your own little world and it’s amazing

kevin admits at one point that he was afraid to ask you out bc he thought younghoon was your boyfriend and you just snort and tell him everything stupid younghoon’s done and by the end younghoon is done with you, kevin is about to vomit he’s laughing so hard, and you are smirking like no tomorrow

your parents told you about the ‘sparks’ thing when you were really young

you used to dream that you’d meet a real life prince and touch his hand and then you’d feel the sparks and you really like romanticised that as a kid lol

all the way through your life your friends were finding their soulmates, some even in kindergarten lol

but you never seemed to have much luck and your mum always joked that you were still waiting for that prince to come along

you decided that really soulmates weren’t the most important thing in life and although it would be nice to meet yours;; you’d rather explore other passions

so you took up designing fashion

your school offered design and technology courses so you took a couple and realised it was something you really enjoyed

you were always the best at being able to make old clothes into something new fresh and wonderful

when you got accepted into the best fashion college in the country you almost had a heart attack

your mum read out your acceptance letter while you were on the toilet lmaooooo

but really you never really thought you had that much talent with designing

but your acceptance letter seemed to suggest that the college really liked your mood boards and your way of styling

on the first day of college you walked into the hall expecting it to be like;; a normal lecture hall

but everyone was already in groups around these mannequins

you had a TEAMBUILDING EXERCISE

you moved into the group you were told to go into and introduced yourself as brightly as you could

“hello! I’m y/n haha”

the others responded with their names and they shook your hand quickly

except for one kid who seemed to not be that;; interested in your presence

he mumbled a “park jihoon” and went back to working with the materials

you watched as he went to work cutting the fabrics and you tried to decide what you wanted to do with the old piece of clothing on the mannequin

the prompt on the whiteboard simply read ‘uplift me!’ so it was pretty vague;;

you suggested bright colours like yellows or pastels to be uplifting

the jihoon guy turned up his nose a bit at this

“no, y/n i think we should use sequins or metallics. they are more eye catching, which might be what they mean by uplifting”

the other group members were a bit like lmao what just happened

honestly you thought he was angry and that’s why he spoke to you like that lol

but in jihoon’s head he was mentally kicking himself like this girl is the only one in the room whose fashion style is my taste;; and i make her hate me lmao gr8 job m8

but really he just appreciated that you put a viable idea forward and he wanted to have an,, intellectual conversation with you but he ended up scaring you off more than anything

you continue to work on the piece as a group and you settle on using gold because;; it’s kind of bright like what you want and it’s the metallic that jihoon wanted

when the professor comes around and looks at yours he immediately can tell you two did all the work and you two are like?? How did you know

and the professor is just like ya guys i looked at your mood boards. i know your styles

but he puts you and jihoon together as a pair so you can work together on future projects because your styles match super well and then ON GOES THE LECTURE

a few months into college you start doing placements in a shop where you design and put together outfits for the customers

you and jihoon are put against each other for like the first time and you each have to try and please as many customers as you can

the briefs they give are literally like;; two words usually “i want a skirt to match these shoes” or something

and you have to learn to infer their style from what they’re already wearing it’s v difficult;;

but you and jihoon manage to please the exact same number of clients… and you do each client you get pretty much perfectly

from that moment onwards you and jihoon are known as the fashion power couple, even though you aren’t actually a couple in fact you’ve never seen each other outside of class

that is until jihoon invites you to go to a coffee shop for lunch during the break between your classes and your placement

after yall get your food and your drinks you sit down in a booth and just sigh and relax a bit

jihoon says out of nowhere

“i’m sorry if i scared you at first i was just really surprised to find someone with the same style as me lol”

he’s blushing a lot and its?? really cute i mean you knew park jihoon was cute from the very first moment you saw him but the light blush across his cheeks makes him look 250% more adorable

honestly you really want to win this to prove yourself

you don’t feel like your style is as refined as like jihoon’s or some of your other classmates

but you feel like if you win this then you’ve proven to yourself that you do have a style and it is worth you being at that college

because sometimes you think that you might just be surviving because jihoon is helping you and working with you??

but anyway

your brief is similar to the original brief you had on the first day of college except this one you style using pre existing pieces and one piece you can make yourself

you decide to thrift a second hand wedding ring and you add some gold details to it as your item because;; it’s subtle and more classic idk??

on the day of the competition you and jihoon are getting ready backstage because;; you’re your own model lol

you go on the catwalk consecutively because it goes in order of school

just before you step out to go on stage jihoon pats your back and whispers a ‘good luck’ in your ear

you swear to god that you just felt the sparks

you look up at jihoon but he doesn’t seem to react so you brush it off as just being nerves

but inside both you and jihoon are mentally screaming

This week, our queens turned into gym leaders, and battled each other towards a win on their score chart! Let’s see how our girls have done!

Analyse Thropic & Lexi Lamour | Psychic & Grass

Deep in the Ilex Forest sits the Ilex Forest Shrine, the home of the Psychic-Grass legendary guardian, Celebi. Celebi is calling, floating around the shrine, keeping an eye on the forest, when it hears two twigs break and similar gasps at the same time. Astra and Floraisa stare eye to eye. These two sisters grew up close, but were split apart by conflicting differences when it came to training pokemon. Astra, a psychic-type trainer, chose a more studious route to raising pokemon. Floraisa, a grass-type trainer, chose a more beautiful and popular technique in raising pokemon. Ten years later both have risen to a high status in the underground gym league in the Johto region. This league was established for type trainers that aren’t represented by gyms in the region. Astra and Floraisa have become the gym leaders for their respective types, but have yet to speak, despite being in such a close-knit community. In order to advance in this community and become the top gym leader… they must catch a Legendary. Unbeknownst to each other, they both sought out Celebi as it represents both of their types. The tension is in the air as they send out their signature Pokémon, Espeon and Meganium, to battle it out for the right to encounter Celebi….. But who will claim the prize… Grass?… Or psychic?

Psychic Type Gym Leader Analyse Thropic

Hello, trainers. My name is Astra, master of psychic-type Pokémon. I had a fairly normal childhood growing up in Azalea Town with my parents and my older sister, Floraisa. My sister and I were close growing up, although she always wanted to go play in Ilex Forest and I would rather go explore the Slowpoke Well. It was from these Slowpoke that I first learned the unsuspecting power that some Pokémon have. The Slowpoke taught me that in order to harness my own psychic abilities and to become a Pokémon Master, I would have to learn patience. Once we graduated from Trainer School, Floraisa set off to explore the other regions, eager to find the excitement that she was always searching for in the forest. I, however, stayed behind and slowly worked on building and training my team of Pokémon. My nearest and dearest Pokémon is my beloved Espeon that I raised from a little Eevee that was given to me by Bill, a family friend from Goldenrod City. Some people have even told me I’ve started to dress like my Espeon! I slowly made my way into Johto’s underground gym circuit, defeating trainer after trainer and eventually rising to the top of the ranks in the psychic-type bracket. After ten long years of hard work and patience, I can finally call myself a gym leader. The next great task for me was to capture Celebi and cement myself as the greatest Psychic trainer of all time. My sister and I had often visited the Ilex Forest Shrine, the home of Celebi according to myths passed down through generations in our village. I make my way deep into the forest and I’ve finally found the shrine when I see… my sister.

Lila:  Bitch. BITCH. It just seems like every week goes by and you show us that you improved the most during charm school, then week by week you just keep getting better and better. Your influences are really clear and I enjoy the fact that you and Lexi both have bodysuits on, and the differentiation between the two is exciting and matches your types really well. I think you should hold on to this silhouette, perhaps make it a sleeveless and legless bodysuit and make the cut of the pantyline a little higher. I am so jealous of your titties, they are giving me so much life and you’re beginning to look like a Real Woman™. For improvement, it may be an investment, but look into purchasing some spear gum for your lace. In some pictures, your lace is popping up a little bit, and it usually happens when you do these sort of updo-type looks. Also, I think you need some gel liner to your look. The blacks in your crease and eyes are greyish, and using a liquid or gel liner could essentially bring a pop to your face in future looks. For your composite photo, I enjoy the creativity behind it, It’s certainly one of the strongest and stands out as far as design goes. It’s just really cute! Great effort this week!

Gluttoni: Analyse, I will admit when you showed the judges the beginning stages of your look I was quite nervous and I'm still nervous. Only because bitch you look like the the baddest gym leader around! I say it every week but your growth is astronomical. I'm a definite fan of this look. You look wise, posed and commanding which I'm assuming are the vibes you wanted to give off. Without even reading the description you scream Psychic Gym Leader. The color scheme turned out way more relaxed and cohesive than I could have imagined and you accessorized astonishingly with the jewels and shoulder pyramids. While I love the overall aesthetics of what you've done I will say there are a few rough spots. The makeup is very good but we'll have a talk about proportions. As much as I love the hairstyle, it doesn't come off as seamlessly you planned and I question you choose of the alternating fabric on the bodysuit but I think that's something you'll figure out further into your career. In the meantime I can't over looked you that sewed everything and you absolutely slayed the challenge.

Letha: Okay, dang, whew. I really REALLY like this look, Analyse. You have proven yourself time and time again to be a concept queen and you have once more executed that with this look. The Espeon influence is evident and the little touches make for what I think is a cohesive look. I like how you used the stones to break up what otherwise would have been just blank purple fabric on the body, which was a smart choice, as well as varying up the bodysuit by not making it ALL purple. As for the bodysuit itself, I really like it from the hips up- the legs don’t work for me as much. I wish the legs were either skin tight or a looser, harem-pant type fit, because right now they’re a bit in between. Them tiddies look CORRECT, m’am, and I love the necklace you use to show them off. The cape is cute, the paint job isn’t the most even though, so I almost wish you had done like a pattern or design on the cape with the paint to avoid having to cover it completely evenly. The hair is also a very fun design and I’m glad you played with the hair. Word of caution about doing an updo style with a lacefront though. Because the weight of the hair is no longer holding the lace down with gravity, you should probably glue it down so it doesn’t lift like in your face pictures. The makeup is cute and cohesive with the look as well. My two main crits would be as follows. First, add some interest on the lower lashes, because it looks quite bare right now, so either some bottom falsies or mascara with smudged out liner would really help make the look more polished. The second would be to watch your cheek contours, as right now the colors are a little muddied together and get too close to your nose. And FINALLY, the composite photo, I like it, there’s a story behind it, it’s creative and well edited, and fits all the parameters of the challenge. All in all, great job this week!

Toni: At first I was really worried about your look because both you and lexi were like “idk what to do a jumpsuit or something” but you really shit me the fuck up! This really looks so amazing on you and its very clear what type of gym leader you are. I love that you turned the pokeball into a head piece!! On the jumpsuit we can see the outline of that pussy and it’s really distracting as well as I wish it was super tight on the legs and arms because it seems to be a bit loose. But the way you acessorized this look really made up for its flaws!! The composite picture is cute I really like how it tied in your story over all!! Good job this week!!

Zephyra: Miss Analyse, my how you’ve grown since your days in charm school!! I am so incredibly proud of you. From your hair, to your face, to the fact that you made your own costume! I am so proud! Let’s start with the positives..Your composite was my favorite out of the grouping, it was fun, uncluttered, featured both people equally, and I feel like it told a fun story.Your face, I am so glad that you took my advice and put brows on, because I think that that made the whole face come together, and it complimented the gem nicely. Your lips are to die for, not even kidding. One thing I will say though is it seems like your contour is blending too high into your blush and making it really dark, I don’t know if that is what you were looking for, since you were psychic, but it is just something to watch out for <3Your hair is super fun, and I can tell that you put a lot of work into it. Now what I want you to work on is making that hair TIGHT. You can see some of the pieces falling out of place, spray the fuck out of it once you have it where you want it, so that it doesn’t go anywhere.For my negatives…Something I’ve been noticing with you is your body shape. I see that you are cinching and padding, etc. but something is a bit off-putting about it, maybe you are putting your corset/cincher a bit too high? Something I want you to work on(and feel free to send me pictures) is getting that body RIGHT, because I think that that will make all of the difference in your costuming, and will make you look that much more sickening.

Grass Type Gym Leader Lexi Lamour

"Gym Leader Floraisa wants to battle!" Hello, I'm Floraisa. I grew up in the Johto region with my parents and sister. We were always close. Until it was time to go to pokemon trainer school....quickly after that we realized we were vastly different people. While she preferred the studious life of psychic types....I preferred the beauty and popularity of grass types. Our differences ended up tearing us apart and upon graduation from school we went out separate ways. I found myself longing for a place....I wanted to be a gym leader so bad, but realized that there were no grass gyms in Johto. I did research and found Erika.....the grass gym leader from Kanto. Herself and the beauty trainers in her gym really inspired me....beyond training and into fashion. So I became a high fashion model and a high power trainer. Then I found the underground gym league in Johto and took the grass stage by storm with my partner Meganium. Later I found that my sister had become the psychic gym leader....I was taken aback by seeing her....but I didn't wish to lick old wounds so I kept my distance. She had her people and I had mine. But becoming a gym leader wasn't good enough. I wanted to be the head of the league. In order to do that I needed to catch a legend....so I sought out Celebi.....but little did I know....that after 10 years....my sister and I were finally about to speak....and stake our claim over what we want with a battle! Hi, Judges! This week Analyse paired me with her and assigned me the grass type. We had such a great time working together and came up with such a great concept. For my look I wanted to give you a different silhouette from what I've done the past few weeks, so I decided on a high fashion power suit for my gym leader. The fabric to me looked like grass being whipped up in the air(with some other colors thrown in so it wasn't JUST green). The cuffs and beckpiece are made of green hair to resemble "grass" in the most drag way possible without being grass. The earrings are little crystal flowers. And the flower "hair"/headpiece I completely made by hand and am so proud of it. It reminded me a lot of Meganium with the flowers and having a neckpiece. The makeup I used various shades of green and pinks to tie the outfit all together and bring both into the face. I gave everyone what they wanted in their critiques from last week. I gave the nose lose between the bridge and tip like Lila wanted. I blended more like Toni and Letha wanted. And I did a more heightened makeup like Gluttoni wanted. Personally I feel like it's my best makeup to date. I'm super in love with and proud of what I did for my grass type gym leader and I hope you are too!:)

Lila:  All the elements are here for the grass-type conventions - green, leaves, flowers, all that beautiful stuff we expected! I do love this from the neck up, your face is beautiful and you have this artistry that’s really stunning. Your nose is well blended and your face is coming into fruition. The flower headpiece is to die for, you know fine well Letha’s gonna fawn over that - I just have a problem piecing all of your entire outfit together this week. Your bodysuit is immaculate, and your additions of using wefts around your collar, shoulders and wrists are so genius, but as a whole, this look is really pieced together it feels. Like if there was green atop the headpiece, it might’ve been more cohesive? I don’t know, I just feel like the bar for yourself is set so high after 3 straight wins that everything you produce now will have you walking on the thinnest wire, and I mean, not that I don’t like this, I do think it’s fitting for the challenge, it isn’t as excellent as your work in past 3 weeks. For your composite photo, I enjoy the creativity behind it, It’s certainly one of the strongest and stands out as far as design goes. It’s just really cute! Great effort this week, Lexi!

Gluttoni: Lexi! You know we've come the expect nothing but the best from you. You literally have no chill in the best way possible and I liiivvvveeee for it. Because it shows how much you want this. This week was nothing less in what we've come to expect and yet this week I'm just on fence about this look. That's not to say this isn't a finished, polished drag costume because it very much is. I adore this abstract greenery motif on the bodysuit! It's very in your face without being too much. It get a bit extra in my opinion with the hair-lined collar and shoulder adornments but I totally get it's supposed to be grass so I can't knock it too much. The makeup is a vast improvement, thank you! But I'm still going to challenge you to slay me one of these weeks with your eye makeup. The afrooooo will be mine after this competition, thank you again. You two probably had my favorite compilation photo this week as well. Good work this week darling.

Letha: I’m a bit conflicted on this look, to be honest. From the neck up, I love it, and from the neck down, I like it, but together I feel there’s a bit of a disconnect. I think the the STUNNING flower headpiece (with you need to show me how you made, by the way) and hair trim called for a bit more volume and drama in the rest of the outfit (it still could have been a jumpsuit, but perhaps with poofy-er sleeves/pants). On the other hand, I really think the bodysuit could have worked with the same challenge, and had you done a very structured hair or headpiece (like a Chikorita/Bayleef), it could have been like the sickening embodiment of the “Razor Leaf” move. But together, they sort of clash for me. I do LOVE the makeup though, and agree that it’s some of your best work yet. The blending is much better than last week, and I love pairing the nude lip with the green, though my only crit would be to have a bit more dimensionality in the lip, like with a darker liner. The nails are cute as hell too. Y’all are both great in the pic, I don’t really have any complaints in that department, my thoughts I gave to Ana apply here too. Great job this week, Lexi!

Toni: Hey love!! So lets start with the good!! I really love your makeup this week I think it looks soft but still very striking!! From the shoulders up you look like one of those floral praying mantisis and henny thats a look!! I really love it!! And the jump suit with the green tracks of hair is brialliant and gives me this tribal vibe and I am really feeling it!! But when you put the head and the body theres a disconnect and I think if you had done the head piece with more green or added pink tracks to the body it would have made it a lot smoother blend!! Also your body is looking right today bitch!!! The composite picture is cute I really like how it tied in your story over all!! Good job this week.

Zephyra: Another strong submission from you girl! I’ve been watching, and you can color me impressed! Maybe if you had a high pony with the green hair, and if you had flowers on the catsuit and little tiny flowers in the neck and wristpieces, something to tie it all together.Overall, this look is a stunner, not my favorite of your submissions this cycle, but definitely a stunner nonetheless. Thank you for flying with Pokemon Regional, this is your pilot/stewardess speaking we will be arriving to the indigo plateau in 10 minutes! HELLO BITCHES!! so for this look i am serving you Flying Pokemon Gym Leader realness. I was inspired by the 1950's Stewardess..es? as well as 1950's pilots..but pastel! I hand made literally everything except for the jacket and shoes.( can't you tell?)  I wanted to make it look chic but as well as fun and conceptual. I was also inspired by the color blue which usually represents like flying type gym leaders. I made a winged headpiece to give that obvious representation of flying type! I am so happy how this turned out despite the things that have been happening with life! THANK YOU SO MUCH <3

Lila:  I’m in mixed reception with your look this week, Avana. While your outfit is absolutely adorable, and your face looks beautiful, there are some things that slip this up. First of all - I want you to start playing around with hair. Styling hair is a painful job, but short wigs like the one you’re wearing are so easy to style and it’ll elevate your look so much - because I know how desperate you want to show you’re not a “safe” queen. Next, I’m sure you’ll get a lot of mixed response because of your legs and beard poking out. We don’t really know if it’s intentional, if it is, you need to mention this in your description because the judges (and sometimes, contestants and fans) will scrutinize this as something as unintentional. For your composite, it’s exciting and really fun to watch. You two look like the gym leaders you face at the end of the region and it’s really fun! Good effort this week, Mama Noir!

Gluttoni: You look super duper cute Avana. This is a fully fleshed out Flying Type Gym Leader look that I don't think has been done before but still makes totally sense for the typing. I love the plumage trim around the perimeter of your look and the touch of color on your ascot is super adorable. The makeup is your usual in my eyes with is like smack dab middle of the road for me and this week I promise to personally message you with resources and advice I can give you about overall paint. I wish you would have pull the dress up just a tad cause it gives such an eventful just right with this and your looks play off very nicely with each other.  Can't wait to see more.

Letha: This is a cute look, Avana! I immediately get the flying type with the flight attendant getup and it works well together. I wish the dress was hoisted up a bit more, with maybe some boob contour, as the chest looks a little plain. I would brush the hair out more, as you can see some flyaways, which works as a joke, but don’t really match the sleeker aesthetic of a flying type. The headpiece and cloud trim is cute. I like the scarf, but it really could have worked better as just more of a little ascot type thing on the neck (Pitch Perfect, for example). The makeup is hard to see because it is SO FAR AWAY. The eyes look alright and the colors work, but the chin contour looks a bit stubbly (as do the legs, tbh), and I’m not sure if that was intentional. In the future, take face pics closer, because it will impact your scores negatively if we cannot see the details well enough to critique or score. In the composite photo, the action shot is great and I love the energy of the whole scene, as well as the background fade to make it less static and more personalized to you/your partner’s types. Good job this week!

Toni:Okay lets start by saying how excited I was for this idea when you brought it to me and I think you did really well in some areas and lacked in others. I LOVE the cloud accents and the neck piece made of feathers that was super cute and really added to the whole type vibe. I adore the idea of a pilot for this look but I do wish it fit, held up, and that you were showing off some more body because it looks very boxy to me!! I do think your makeup is improving every time you do it but I wish that you had an eyeshape that when upward like we talked about so that it gave you a lift rather than making you look sadder. Also the beard is a solid miss for me.I really think your photo is done very well, it looks clean and shows marcellas strong editing skills! Over all good job this week!!

Not because it wasn’t cool, but it wasn’t really giving me pokemon vibes, it was giving me more ghost in the shell meets samurai 7 meets something else a bit, and I don’t know, I just wasn’t really into it.As for your look, let’s start with the positives!Obviously you are flying type, and that is very apparent in your outfit. You’re giving me flight attendant on a cloud and I love it! If you made this yourself, I’ll give you props for that too because I know that making an outfit in less than a week’s time is pretty difficult, especially if you have other obligations to attend to.Your face is getting stronger from what I first saw when you started, so great job there, keep practicing, and in no time you’ll be a killer. (If you want any tips let me know!)For negatives:Under your chin, I can’t really tell if that is contour or a beard, if it’s a beard and it’s intentional, keep doing you, if it’s a beard and it’s not intentional, make sure you shave before you do your face, if it’s contour, we may need to figure out what’s going on.Also, I want to see what you would look like with some BODY!!! I feel like you would be absolutely stunning with some padding, with some titties, with some cinghing (Ask Letha about it) With some tights, with all of that. That would make this look more draggy, and more kablow! If you know what I mean. I think you have all of the basic elements in place, I just think that you need to kick it up a notch so that you can really give these bitches a run for their money!!

Steel Type Gym Leader Marcella Fox

So you’ve acquired seven gym badges, you’ve just single-handedly defeated the region’s resident evil team and you’re now in possession of a highly coveted masterball – the only person standing between you and Victory Road is steel-type specialist Estella! I hope you’ve galvanised your greatballs, because her iron-willed team is ready to crush you flat! Her steely exterior is intimidating to many, but underneath it all she has a heart of gold. Do you have the mettle/metal to tarnish her stainless victory streak?

I LOVED this challenge and was so pleased to be given steel type (if there’s one thing I love, it’s metallics). I was inspired by existing gym leaders such as Korrina and Flannery, 90’s rave and cybergoth culture, and I can see a bit of Gurren Lagann influence in there too. The character I made is the epitome of Tsundere – cold and closed-off when you first meet her, but once you’ve conquered her she becomes friendly and vivacious, and kind of sisterly too. I made the top and the arm piece out of mirror card, by meticulously measuring and cutting out approximately 120 perfect equilateral triangles (if there’s another thing I love, it’s triangles) and stapling them together. I added teal accents, a tacky 90s rucksack & pair of shades, some utilitarian fingerless gloves, and topped it all off with these fierce dreadlocks. I’m really pleased with this look, hopefully you all think she’s as cool as I do!

Lila:  W o w. Firstly, absolutely dying that you said you’d be the last of the gym leaders in the region, gagged and bagged. You are giving me Spice Girls Say You’ll Be There music video meets Cyber Bitch, and I’m living for what you are serving. The only thing that’s making me shaky about your look is that your bra is like, whew, like a small piece of metal, and there could’ve been more to it. You know how to accessorize, and for this challenge, I’m getting gym leader. For your composite, it’s exciting and really fun to watch. You two look like the gym leaders you face at the end of the region and it’s really fun! Great job!

Gluttoni: You are probably the best makeup artist on a technical scale in the competition Marcella. Along with the fact you tend to also have some of the most thought out of concepts for majority of the challenges. This is no exception. The vibe you’re giving of with the cybergoth influences is very evident and fits extremely well with your typing. To be honest your character is probably one of the only ones I’d love to see realistically in the actual Pokemon games because she looks like she’d have all the Hyper Potions with most bad ass Pokemon that would take forever to beat. The only thing I could have wished for is for maybe one more added element to your stomach region just because it looks so bare. Haha but that’s just me picking at something. Good work on the battle photo as well, it’s very streamline (in a good way) and clean. You a definitely one to beat mama.

Letha: Well this is an a e s t h e t i c. The type you were assigned would have been obvious without you even mentioning it in your description. The cybergoth look pairs really well with this type, and you pulled it off amazingly. The color scheme is cohesive, and picking the teal blue for the pop of color was smart.  I like the bra, and I know it was probably a bitch and a half to make, but I do wish it was a bit more substantial or took up more room, if that makes sense. But beyond that and finding the shoes to look a bit clunky with the metal bits attached, I really do enjoy the outfit. The makeup is stunning, as always, and coordinates with the rest of the look. To be honest, I’m not usually a huge fan of white girls in dreadlocks, so when I saw the hair I was a little perturbed, but it does make a bit more sense with the cybergoth movement. In the composite photo, you and Avana play very well off of each other and the photo fades/flows beautifully with the backgrounds as well as the poses. Great job this week, Marcella!

Toni: I hate you I really do, but in the best way. You have such a good aesthetic that no matter what you wear down the runway I can always be like “thats very marcella!!!” First of, cybergoth for steel? Fucking brilliant!!! I love so much about this look I think tis so well done together. I have two complaints 1) I wish there was more to the top, maybe have it wrap around your waist or make it a crop top but it was lacking 2) I wish you have your glasses on for the pictures!!! I love how you accessorize and I think your makeup is a lot more draggy than it normally is but I am not mad at it at all I quiet welcome it! I really think your photo is done very well, it looks clean and shows marcellas strong editing skills! Good job this week!

Maybe for one of these weeks, try and make your face full on DRAG and see what you come out with, something new, something different, push your boundaries :)Your hair is super fun with this look, I think it matches very well to the stylization of your character, and it almost helps to tell the story of this badass gym leader, and I am here for it.Your accessories, i.e. the shoes and the arm band, I am in love with, I really think that these are nice touches to your overall outfit.As a queen that enjoys showing her body, I appreciate the top, I just wish that there was a little more to it, length wise or sleeve wise, because it’s a cool idea, there’s just not much of it.My negatives:The skirt. I don’t think it does anything for this look honestly, I would have much rather preferred a skirt that was made from the same material as the bra/wrist guard.I also wish that there were more elements pulled into other parts of your look, maybe some mechanical paneling around one side of your face, or maybe a headpiece. It almost feels like something is missing. For the future, just take one last look at your ensemble before you go with it, and think, what could pull this all together for me?Overall, solid submission, keep up the good work.

Daddie Dearest & Ebony Boss | Rock & Water

Pokemon have many experiences in their lives, just like we do. LEADER BOSS, too, has seen and suffered much in her life. She was bullied by...LEADER DEAREST. Water type gym leader, LEADER BOSS, has issued a challenge to rock type gym leader, LEADER DEAREST to determine the true Pokemon master. In the first move of the battle, TENTACRUEL uses RECEIPTS to decimate DIANCIE, proving LEADER BOSS can overcome the negativity and destroy the competition.

Rock Type Gym Leader Daddie Dearest

Ebony and I started off this week on the wrong foot. I came to this challenge with a very negative attitude, and I took it out on my partner. I quickly apologized, and we worked together to create a really fun product that centers around our drama this week. My outfit was inspired by Diancie, with the dress representing the crystals sticking out of the mesh collar which represents rock formations. The makeup is very animated as I wanted my character to come off as a villain. LEADER DEAREST wants to be the very best, like no one ever was.

Lila: I’m twisting my mouth a lot when I see this. The makeup as always is spot on, it’s reaching its peak with how diverse you’re being with it. The Diancie influence is one of the best parts of your concept and I’m loving that you matched the beard with the gloves, sort of drapes match the rugs or something like that, but I’m literally losing rock in this silhouette. It’s giving me psychic with the colours rather than rock, I’m really not a fan of the turban because of it’s colour and it’s the only thing I’m focusing on besides your diancie crystals. I think a white tulle would’ve been so much better with this look, and I’m just a little disappointed this week. I think the main thing looking forward is to keep 3 designs in mind, exclaim which one you like and then the judges will present you feedback on them - focus on how much time, resources and effort you’re willing to give into the project itself, and then come back with a brilliant submission. We all know on this panel you’re a great queen, remind yourself that you are in future weeks! Your composition was a great idea, the execution is a little… eh. I would’ve either chosen old school or new school sprites, and matched with old school or new school graphics, even pixelate yourselves a little bit, make the trainers black and white too, or just use X & Y backgrounds if you could. Overall, you did good this week, Daddie.

Gluttoni: This is my least favorite composite image my queen. Not because simplistic isn’t good but to me this just wasn’t that simulating as your sisters. But that is the end of my bad news for you because I personally adore this look Daddie. I love the elements of hard and soft and effortlessly they flow into one another. I could get why someone wouldn’t immediately get rock vibes from this but knowing the Pokemon had in mind, I think this is the perfect for the crystal like Diancie. Also DaddieXDiancie is like too fucking cute! The makeup is ON per usual, no surprise. The costume is STUN and elaborate as always. I don’t have much to critique so just keep rocking this for me Daddie! Get it? Also teach me your turban ways!  

Letha: There are things I don’t like about this look, but there are also things I really love. The Diancie inspired crystals are GREAT, and the headwrap I think works, but the tulle just doesn’t go in this case, not plain as it is right now. It’s not substantial enough to come across as rock, and it MIGHT work as maybe some sort of sand??? But I think if it had been a darker earth toned color it could have worked better, or had some sort of rocky elements scattered throughout. In its current state, it just covers up the best part, which really is the crystals. The gloves and cape are cute, but also don’t add too much to the look. The face is beat, as always, and the brows are a nice nod to the character. To me, the composite edit is a bit clunky, and I get that you were going for a story and decided to use the classic battle background, but it comes across as a plain white. But the story is still told and its a nice nod to the behind the scenes of TDR, which is pretty creative, so I’ll give credit there. Overall, it’s an alright submission, but I’ve seen you do better work, Daddie.

Toni: Hey boo! Lets start with the good this week shall we? I really adore your makeup so much and those brows slay my existence!!! Every week you show us that you have more than just one standard face that you can do well and I really enjoy that! On to the look there are some things that are hits and some things that are misses. My favorite part about this is the skirt that looks like gems, I think that was such a smart way to add some pretty to a standardly boring type. I also like that the gloves and the beard matches the gems!! I wish you had done some form of gems coming out of the neck or in the tulle some how to show that that is a rock that had gems growing out of it or even had used those cute little diamond pieces you made!! Also I do wish that you had found a way to make the head wrap the pink or the nude so that its all tied together! I do feel that the composite photo is a huge huge miss this week and really brought down your scores because there were mistakes in formatting as well as it looking unpolished, next time i’d suggest messaging lila because she taught me photo shop in two hours and I’m sure she’d gladly help you! Good job this week!!

Zephyra: I am in love with your alternative style of drag, and the fact that you are giving each challenge in your own personal style! Keep going with that attitude, and you will go places!For your composite:It was cute, but I didn’t really get the inside joke, so maybe it would have been funnier had I been around, so idk. I really wish that it featured the two of you more, like your whole bodies rather than just shoulders up. I feel like it would have been a stronger submission had it been your whole bodies in the same kind of setup.Positives:EYEBROWS. Enough said.Your face overall actually is to die for, but your eyebrows are really the focal point, and I cannot keep my eyes off of them to be perfectly honest.I love the Diancie elements at the bottom of your outfit, it really brings together the pokemon and trainer vibe to your look.I can’t decide if I love or hate the headpiece, and because of that, I am making it a positive, because isn’t that something some fashion designers strive to do? Keeping me on my toes I guess.Negatives:If you hate me for this, oh well, but the one thing that is really bothering me is the tulle. It kinda seems like it’s just thrown on there just because. I don’t think you really needed it, and if you did need it, I think less would have been more. It kinda makes you look like a jellyfish with a sickening paint.Overall, good job.

Water Type Gym Leader Ebony Boss

​ This week i feel i really stepped up my game and proved everyone that i do deserve to be here! I wanted to really embody the squid and a very arabian feel!

Lila:  Colour me impressed, Miss Boss! You’re giving me like a Zora Mistress from Zelda meets ethereal crystal gem. It’s weird because normally, most water type gym leaders have that innocent look and you’re giving me like a bitch who’s in control of the city’s local water supply and you just cut it off so that your prized pokemon can bathe in the best water for a while. Your face is getting so much better, I love the accessories from the neck up this week and your body is getting better too! For improvement, it would’ve been the tentacles. Cardboard was a questionable material in this decision, I would’ve made your tearaway into a patterned mess of tentacles, and just to add some colour differentiation, you could’ve added some fabric appliques of Octopus suction cups perhaps? Either way, exciting to see you finally rise up to the challenge this week! Your composition was a great idea, the execution is a little… eh. I would’ve either chosen old school or new school sprites, and matched with old school or new school graphics, even pixelate yourselves a little bit, make the trainers black and white too, or just use X & Y backgrounds if you could. Gluttoni: I remember this week week you were afraid to get too cultural with your look but I must say it definitely worked out in your favor this week. You look the best I’ve ever seen you look honestly Ebony. The look as a whole is so cohesive and I’m insanely proud of you for finally getting there. I love the hair styling and the jewels you chose and you know I love tentacles. I honestly wish they had more dimension to the but otherwise you look really good girl. Keep going hennnnnnyyyy. 

Letha: This is a pretty cute look, Ebony! I can see why your mind went to a more flowing garment to represent water, and I think you did some good work here. The tentacles are creative, and the mask/headpiece I really like. I wish there was a bit more contrast throughout the look, though, with more varied shades of blue, as it is a touch monochrome. I wish the leotard was a bit more embellished, as it is sort of plain across the front. The hairstyle goes with the overall vibe for sure, I’m just not totally for the color, it sort of clashes with the cool tones of the rest of the outfit. The makeup is alright, I like the big liner, but wish there was more going on on the cheeks, because I can’t see much definition from this distance. The nails are a nice touch as well, it’s good to see those! The crits for the composite photo are the same as for your partner, the story is a nice touch, but the editing seems like a lot of text and not a lot of interesting visuals. But I can see improvement from you Ebony, so keep it up!

Toni: You’re another one who keeps growing week after week!! I am really shocked by how well you did this week and I am so proud of you!! I think this reads water as well as reads as a pokemon gym leader because of the squid like attributes!! I do wish that you were padded in the hips in some way because that would have been the bomb, but I’m glad you padded your boobs this week, next week see if you can get them a bit smoother. Onto the face I want you to start working ahrd to get those nice and bright pigments, maybe using a primer or a white base may help!! And be careful not to curve in your crease as you get to the outer eye and just let it meet naturally with the eyeliner!! While I do enjoy the shoulder details, and the tentacle details around the waist, I think that you really need to step it up in the costuming department if you want to have a shot at the crown. My best advice for you would be to private message Lila, and get some advice on what works and what doesn’t work. Lila:  I’m not loving this much. I’m getting this kind of military vibe from the bust up, but then I saw the shorts and I am not a fan. I think if you wore some palazzo pants or harem pants, this look would’ve slayed, but because of the choice in lower garments I’m not really a fan. I’m glad to see lashes this week, which is great, and for your face, I would add a line near the end of your nose bridge to give your nose that little definition. For your composition, exciting, really fun and I love the graphic, it looks like you guys are being featured on a promo for a new pokemon game. Overall, it’s an okay submission.

Gluttoni: Although I love the silhouette of this look, I don’t think this is executed to its full potential. You got the type most fitting of your personality and I only see a glimmer of the star power that you are in your composite photo because you are as bright and scorching as flames. The makeup NEEDS to be worked on my love. You are natural adorable but I don’t think the makeup you do suits your facial structure so please do me a favor and get on Youtube & practice. Stay strong and keep striving baby girl.    

Letha: I have to admit, I’m not loving the look this week, Klinker. It’s a bit simple. The shorts look like basic orange athletic shorts. The bra is honestly the only interesting thing here, I wish you had developed that aesthetic more throughout. The makeup is... okay, you’ve done better. The colors are all great, but the lips are pretty smudged. I wish there was a bit more blush, even almost a little sunburnt would have worked with this Fire Type look. Some accessories would have also really helped sell this look, but right now it’s a bit plain. In the composite photo, you have great energy and the duality of the Sun/Moon graphic really helps your types work together. All in all, an okay submission this week.

Toni: Hello dear! I think this week you went a bit too simple and it didn't work out well.you had fire and I think that fits with your personality so well but it really didn't come through in the look. I wish you had done something that had a bit more movement and fun to it so it looked like fire moving if that makes sense. Something like your week one with reds and yellows would have been sickening!! Your makeup is getting so much better!!!! I think now you just need to focus on making sure everything is blended well together, maybe using some setting powder and going in to diffuse the colors together. I really like the composite, it looks like the add for the sun and moon games where its like “which side will you pick?! Choose your fate!” and I really enjoy that so good job!!

It is simple, yet the personalities of each type of gym leader comes through. There is not a lot of clutter, and it tells a story. Good job with this one. Ghost Type Gym Leader Sugar Monroe

Welcome, Pokémon Trainers, to the Lavender Town Gym, located inside of Pokémon Tower! Here, you face your worst Nightmares come to life. My name is Sugar, and I grew up here in Lavender Town, but once I was of age, I set out on my adventure with my trusty partner, Ghastly. After venturing to the Johto, I captured a lonely Misdreavus and made her my second partner in crime. And on vacation in the lovely Alola region, I caught a mischievous little Mimikyu, that joined me from then out. Once my adventure was done, I returned home and started the gym where I now reside, casting a Never-Ending Nightmare on all who dare challenge me.

Hiiieeeeee judges, this week I was assigned to create my own personal gym leader who specializes in ghost type Pokémon. My look was inspire partly by funeral attire (ghost types, duh) and by the Witch of the East in the new show Emerald City, very dark and flowy. My makeup was done in purple tones, as is traditional with ghost type gym leaders and elite fours, and I’m crying purple glitter tears because, well, my gym’s in a Pokémon graveyard. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this look and had such a blast! Hope y'all were Astonished by this Spectral Thief!

Lila:  Sugar… I feel like we’re losing you. Okay, so I’ll start off by saying that your face is amazing, you obviously know how to work your face, and you’re one of the better makeup artists in terms of giving us a glamourous real woman aesthetic. You love grey hair, but girl - start teasing them. I’m waiting for that Jaymes Mansfield fantasy from you because I know that you can do better than just brushing your wig! I just feel like these costuming challenges are starting to get ahold of you and you’re slowly fading into the brickwork again! We really expect you to step it up from this silhouette of a short sleeved dress. You’ve got an overskirt over the top, yes, but it’s still not pushing the boat out a lot. Take the time to look and evaluate your competition’s looks this week, really focus on what they’re bringing to the game, hell, even look back at some of Toni and Letha’s concepts from Cycle 8 and All Stars 2, because I know you can push yourself a lot more than this, and I dare say the word: pedestrian. I’m also shocked to fuck you shot your stuff near tombs, I hope you don’t get haunted, or if you do, get the spirits to steal you some ballgowns or bodysuits lmao!  For your composition, exciting, really fun and I love the graphic, it looks like you guys are being featured on a promo for a new pokemon game. Overall, it’s an okay submission.

Gluttoni: Sugar, I’m shook. I’m shook because I’m sooooo bored when I expected you absolutely kill this challenge. If any challenge was made for you I thought this would totally be it. I reaaly don’t want to simply be negative to you on the this forum so please message me personally girl. Because I am concerned.You did a fantastic job with the editing but that honestly where my interest peaked. As excited as you are for this, I need you to push yourself and show it more.

Letha: I do like the look, Sugar, but am left wanting more. If you hadn’t told me this was ghost type, I’m not sure I could have guessed it. That skirt is cute and I know how hard you worked on it, but beyond that it’s pretty much just a T Shirt/Crop Top. Adding a headpiece or some sleeves, maybe with ripped up strips of fabric or something, would have added to the visual interest of the piece, because the arms just look so bare in comparison. The hair is cute with the look, and it’s very you, and I like the nails. The makeup is pretty good, I like the cohesiveness of the purple. I can understand the creasing of the liner considering it was probably hot/humid as hell, you know, that place you might end up going for posing on top of TOMBS, bitch! That was a nice touch though (but move your boy flip flop, it ruins the shot). I like the purple tears, but they get lost from a distance, so either making them darker overall or outlining in black liner would have helped them pop a bit more. The graphic is cute, the Sun/Moon graphic works well for you/Klinker’s assigned types, and the Pokemon you chose also goes well. All in all, it’s an okay submission this week for me. 

Toni: Sugar sugar sugar… every week I hear the same thing from you “Im gonna step my pussy up this week” well girl do I have to get your pussy a step climber because again you’ve given us another pedestrian look. I love you to death I really do but i need you to push yourself to 150% every week!! I love the makeup I think its haunting, and beautiful. That eye shape is really striking to me and I think you should use it more. The look is jsut very one note and boring to me I think if you had gone with your first idea of a funeral director it would have really done better. I really like the composite, it looks like the add for the sun and moon games where its like “which side will you pick?! Choose your fate!” Also props to you for taking pictures on a grave like bitch about to get her ass haunted!!

Zephyra: Sugar, my sugar, oh how I’ve missed you. You have come a looooooooooooooooong way since your days wearing T-Shirts puahaha, keep up the good work girl, I know you’ve got it in you.For your composite:I actually like it. It is simple, yet the personalities of each type of gym leader comes through. There is not a lot of clutter, and it tells a story. Good job with this one. Not my favorite, but above average in my humble opinion :)Positives:Your face. Stun. I’m a sucker for purple, you already know this. The purple tears, and the purple lip, I love. The smoky crease, I love, your brow shape, I love. I honestly think that this makeup tells your gym leader story so well, and I am super proud of you for bringing those elements in.Hair. I think your hair compliments the story equally as well as your face, next thing I want you to work on, is getting some volume into that hair, make your shoulders look smaller. Stack your short hair maybe.Negatives:The costuming ONLY because I wish there were more accessories/purple brought down into the body of the dress. I love the see-through aspect of the bottom, but the top is soooo incredibly plain, that I wish that there was more.Overall, good job this week. I look forward to seeing what else you crank out <3

Paprika & Phoebe St. Jefferson | Electric & Dragon

Electric Type Gym Leader Paprika

So for this challenge I got assigned electric, which I really like so I was excited. I knew I wanted to go for like, hot, futuristic bad bitch, similar to Elesa from the Black and White games. The jacket is the first thing I’ve actually MADE, it isn’t sewn but it’s hot glued and I’m really proud of myself. I did the edges of the jacket with duct tape and I put the electric energy symbol from the card game on one side. The headphones and the tape accessories are just to add to the whole future/technology aesthetic- and on top of all that, I padded, cinched, and got nails!!! I can already hear Toni screaming. This is honestly one of my proudest looks I’ve ever done, I really love the mug and I’m super proud of the jacket considering it’s the first thing I’ve ever made from real fabric. I edited the battle photo with a background from the Diamond/Pearl games cause they’re my fav and I thought it would look really cool and me and Phoebe look like bad gym leader bitches and I’m into it and really proud of both of us!! Lila: I’m so shocked by you this week bitch. YA FUCKEN BITCH. I love this look so damn much, it’s giving me such a good feeling and your makeup, OOH BITCH, your makeup. STELLAR. I’ll agree with Letha, a black brow would’ve done this concept the slayage x10. Your body is so fucking on point and I hope you give us a little bit more of that as the competition goes on, because the two piece look always makes me so happy. One thing I will say is that when you’ve got a lot of black and not a lot of yellow, I would try to add more elements to try and get your complementaries spot on. More yellow on the panties and the black would’ve done a lot more for this concept I think, but overall, really alluring. Composite is really simple, not mad at it, I would’ve probably done the same, but it’s very impactful and I love this. Great job this week, Paporka.

Gluttoni: I got chills girl. You look so confident and in charge! Get it? This is seriously my favorite look of your so far because maybe I’m now I’m just now seeing you finally take hold of your star potential. The hair is adorable and I enjoy seeing you blonde. Although the costume is very very basic, it’s still cohesive enough for me to get that overall running theme that all battling characters have throughout the Pokemon series. I took note you cinched a bit and the difference most definitely shows. It shows most importantly you are listening and learning which makes me more happy than anything. Keep on this path girly cause I’m thinking you could pull a long haul if deal the right cards sis.

Letha: I feel like I say this every week to you, Pappy, but this look is adorable. The color scheme, while a bit obvious, makes sense and is pulled off pretty well. The black bands add interest down the arms, and I like the nails. If I had one main crit for the outfit, it would that I am left wanting a bit more on the bra/panty portion, as it’s just a bit plain black at the moment. The hair is nice and it goes with the look, but I have that wig and I KNOW it gets bigger literally just with brushing it out with a few shots of hairspray, which would go a lot more with this look (very “stuck a fork in light socket”).  The makeup is pretty good too, not many complaints other than a black brow might have had more impact and gone with your theme, there’s a smudge on your left cheek that I would check in a mirror before shooting pics/videos, and a little more blush never hurt anyone. The composite is a bit simple, if I’m honest, with not TOO much going on, I think adding some Pokemon or a brighter background would have added a bit more oomph. But still, good job this week!

Toni: You look so adorable this week!!! I’m gonna hit you with this early, padding bitch I see the attempt, don’t think its gone unnoticed, so I will give you prop for that this week(although there could be more in the hips) Out of all the looks I think that this look is the one that would be most likely seen in an actual pokemon gym because it has that cutesy fun type of feel that normally goes with a lot of the gym leadings imo. I do wish that there was a necklace and I do really think that that if you had added a bit of yellow to the bra or panties it would have been … electric! I think the composite was sweet and simple, was it amazing? No but it was nice and got the point across so im not pressed! Good job this week babe!!

I want to start off by saying that I love your personality, and I love your energy, it’s super cute and it’s super fun, and no matter what don’t lose that, and don’t let anyone take that away from you For your composite:Least Favorite of the bunch, sorry. There’s not much to it, and it doesn’t tell a story really. I hope I’m not hurting feelings, but I am not a fan of this one. :(Positives:For one, in the composite I thought you were Lila, so that’s an automatic positive.I enjoy the shape of your body, I enjoy your breast contour(we can work on sharpening that up) I love your face, I love your hair I love the headphones, your look tells the story of your character and I enjoy that a lot.For the negatives:While your costume is well designed and well put together, It’s just a bit too simplistic for my taste. I wish there was something more to it. I’m not sure what, but for me it feels like something is missing, and it really detracted from my enjoyment of the character as a whole.

Dragon Type Gym Leader Phoebe St. Jefferson

Hey judges! This week I was assigned DRAGON type gym leader, so I decided to be none other than the drag(on) queen. I was going for a very evil silhouette and a regal kind of outfit. I wanted to look like a huge bitch who would command her minions to steal other people’s pokemon! For the outfit I took a plain jane black dress and started clueing crumpled up triangles to it. I put them going straight up to be sort of like scales. I added in red and purple ones to give it some flare. For the back I added a long train, and then I also added a cape for the dragon flying pokemon flare. For my accessories I got black satin gloves and littered them with jewelry. I got matching shoes and hair and hunny no one is going to challenge my pokemon!

Lila:  FUCKING HELL. WhERE DID YOU COME FROM? Honestly, Phoebe, my favourite look this week is yours. Borders on secret final gym leader, that’s how good I feel it is. Your signature face is at its peak, I would love to see a little bit more colour on your cheeks and honestly, you’ve improved tenfold on your face. For the outfit, I fucking hate you so much. When I say that, it means it’s fucking amazing. How you bothered to stick so much pieces of little paper to make this flourishing scale-design is spot on. I would say, I would rather you’d have a little bit more reds and purples in it, unless your camera was too under-exposed for us to see the purples. But either way, I love this concept, really well put together, exciting work. Composite is really simple, not mad at it, I would’ve probably done the same, but it’s very impactful and I love this. Gluttoni:  SHOOK. SNATCHED. SHAKEN. This is by far the best look you’ve ever pulled out and I’m crying knowing you are unlocking the warrior inside of you you blonde babe. The hair color is such a beautiful choice for you this week and it should be prompt sent into the mail to me after. Your face is totally improving week by week so please keep pushing yourself in that area because that’s going to be a huge deciding factor in the future.The dress is gorg and I’m not going to say shit about it because the hard work shows and I would have cried if I had to do that myself.I don’t have much else to say but keep coming for blood qween!

Letha: I really like this look, Phoebe! You picked three colors, told the rest to fuck off, and got to work. The texture of the dress really does read as scales for me, but I think if the purple/red was a bit more prevalent, I would like the variety better. I like the crumpled train element more so than the flowy cape, so I think if that had been a bit bigger you could have honestly dropped the cape and been fine. I really like the hair, I think an updo might have sold “evil regal bitch” better, as well as not obscuring your neck/collar area, but the style you have now still works great. The makeup is also really improving, I do want to see more dimension in the lip though, to hide where you overdraw, as it’s a bit obvious right now. I also think you could have blended your eyeshadow up a bit more, as the color gets mostly lost when you open your eyes. In the composite photo, you had a great pose and had a lot of energy, but the edit itself was a bit simple in execution. Adding more visual interest would have helped that a bit, I think. But should be very proud of your work this week, Phoebe, great job!

Toni: Stunned! Gagged! Deceased!! This look is fucking everything to me!! I really was worried that you were going to fall flat on your face this week but you didn’t at all in face you soared!! I think my only complaint with this is that it isnt floor length because that would have stopped the damn show and you would have slayed the children!!! I love the wig, i do wish it was moved a bit more down on your head. I also love the makeup, you're getting better every week but I wanted to see darker lips, maybe red blended from black, as well as some more color in the eye. I think the composite was sweet and simple, was it amazing? No but it was nice and got the point across so im not pressed! Good job this week babe!!

I want to see you drag up that face more. Drama in the eyes, cut that contour harsher, overdraw those lips. I just want to see what kind of transformation that would give you.
