Eddie, casually: Hey, wanna get pictures taken?
Steve: It’s a bit early to do our Christmas cards
Eddie: Nah, not like that. Just pictures for us. For me.
Steve: …Jonathan said to stop asking him to take those kind of pictures.
Eddie: Again, not what I meant. Just some pictures of you and me together.
Steve:
Steve: Sure? I guess.

Trending on Twitter two days later are hashtags like, VMAS, and EDDIE MUNSON, and HE’S THERE. If you look under any of these hashtags, there are hundreds of posts of the same clip of Steve and Eddie on the red carpet together.
In the clip, you can see Eddie ask Steve if he’s alright and Steve respond that the cameras are bright. Eddie takes his sunglasses out of his jacket and slides them on Steve’s face, smiles, and then gives him a kiss before they go back to posing for the cameras.
Eddie tweets a different video of Steve suggesting that they go to karaoke instead. It’s captioned, “HE SAID YES TO PICTURES! NO TAKE BACKS!!’
#they go to karaoke after the VMAs#someone gets a video of them singing Rock You Like A Hurricane together#there’s also some pictures of Steve going to bother Jonathan when Eddie has to do some press with the band#eddie munson tiktok saga#steve harrington#eddie munson

main info.
the birth of macaulay marked the montgomery family unit as "complete" with her mother finally getting the girl she had always hoped for macaulay brought a wild streak of brightness into her family, bringing her own brand of chaos from the moment she could walk and always wanting to be just as unbridled as her oldest brother
when she started slowing down around the age of six it didn't take long for the family to take notice or for the doctors to figure out what was wrong -- after a series of tests it was determined that macaulay was suffering from chronic kidney disease
after various treatments and medications having no success, and with no viable matches within her family macaulay was placed on the waiting list for a kidney transplant. the wait took over two years, with macaulay spending constant time in hospitals, until she got her "new" kidney at nine years old.
she was eleven when she family moved to aurora bay, and it was the first time she'd ever gone to real school. while she excelled at the social aspects of her education, focusing on academics was always a challenge to her -- which frustrated many teachers who always insisted that she was "bright"
not wanting to dwindle her life away in any more classrooms, macaulay took off out of town quickly after highschool graduation. she first spent time selling magazines across the country, then becoming a roadie for submergence's last tour then backpacking and hostel surfing in europe, before moving on the the eagles of death metal's tour when submergence went on hiatus
after a recent relationship took a scary turn that had her boarding the first plane out of amsterdam, macaulay decided that it was time to come home and be closer to familiar faces until she decides on her next move

There isn’t exactly proof she dated Dylan though. that didn’t look like them in that pic though
it definitely looks like dylan, the bag in the picture shes worn so many times before but her face is distorted LOL
they were spotted again on deuxmoi by someone else at a different place with another actor i believe and a fan saw them leave karaoke (sabrina did register a new song called Just Kareoke months later, another LOL)
and given the fact a few days before they were first spotted they were both with TS at her VMA’s afterparty.
also after that even though their dates didnt go on, his friends still followed her shortly after but by then it was radio silence.
logan his friend & his fiance followed S at JK’s wedding & other friends later on, but i remember others did around the time of the spottings i could be wrong. either ways funny how all his friends like her LOL

July 2016
Jul 3rd - Taylor's 4th of July festivities kick off at her Rhode Island house. Guests include Tom Hiddleston, Abigail Anderson, Matt Lucier, Claire Winter, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Karlie Kloss, Josh Kushner, Austin Swift, Ruby Rose, Harley Gusman, Halston Sage, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Britany Maack, Ben LaManna, Martha Hunt, Jason McDonald, Uzo Aduba, Chioma Aduba, Jordan Masterson, Kesha, St Vincent, Ed Sheeran, Cherry Seaborn, Rachel Platten, Kennedy Rayé and the Haim sisters. (x) (x) (x) (x)
This is the day Tom wears the infamous 'I <3 TS' tank top while they're all at the beach. (x)
Jul 4th - The online mockery for the 'I <3 TS' shirt is quick to pour in. Daily Mail commenters are yet to shut up about it in 2021.
The party continues with a giant inflatable waterslide, body painting, karaoke, charades and fireworks. (x) And also Kesha and Haim getting tricked by Cara, Uzo and Ruby into thinking they heard scary noises in the night, and trying to call the police but not knowing their own location. (x) (x)
Jul 5th - The day after the party, when all the guests post their photos online.
Britany posts a photo of her & Ben, Blake & Ryan, and Taylor & Tom. (x) The internet has a field day with Ryan's unimpressed facial expression. (x) (Ryan later says that it's just his resting bitch face as he wasn't aware a photo was being taken. (x))
Taylor posts several photos to Instagram of her celebrating the 4th July with friends, but doesn't post any pictures with Tom. (x)
Claire Winter posts a bunch of Polaroids, including one of Taylor and Tom kissing. (x)
Abigail posts a photo to Instagram showing the banners Taylor put up to celebrate her engagement to Matt and the anniversaries of Cara & St Vincent (real name Annie Clark) and Ed & Cherry. (x)
Jul 6th - Taylor and Tom fly out of Rhode Island (x) and arrive at LAX that evening. (x) They then get on a plane to Australia.
Joe attends the Warner Music Group summer party in London. (x)
Rumours are swirling that Tom is no longer in consideration to be the next Bond, due to his relationship with Taylor. (x) (x) (x) (x) (x)
Jul 8th - Taylor and Tom are flying on a commercial Quantas flight so someone is able to take a pic of them on the plane. (x)
According to another passenger on the plane, Taylor plays Scrabble during the flight (presumably on her phone because nobody takes big physical board games on commercial flights and the creepshot of Hiddleswift on the plane suggests she wouldn't have had anywhere to put the board anyway). In hindsight, knowing how Taylor and Joe play lots of Scrabble together including online Scrabble aka Words With Friends, and how they stayed in touch largely via texting that summer, it’s very possible she was playing against Joe.
Taylor and Tom arrive in Sydney, where Tom is about to start filming for Thor: Ragnarok. (x) Aussie media, including daytime TV, goes nuts over Hiddleswift's arrival in the country. (x)
Flying from LA to Australia involves crossing the international dateline, so they would have left the US on the 6th July local time and arrived in Sydney approx 15 hours later on the 8th July local time.
Calvin's new song Olé, written for John Newman, is released. There is speculation that it's a Hiddleswift song, written from Tom's perspective and containing lyrics implying that Taylor cheated on Calvin with Tom. However, sources also told multiple outlets that the song was written and recorded months earlier, and its supposed links to Hiddleswift were just for publicity. (x) (x)
Jul 9th - Tom goes out for a run (x) and avoids answering questions about Taylor. (x)
Jul 10th - Taylor and Tom go out for dinner to Gemelli Italian restaurant in Broadbeach on Australia's Gold Coast. (x)
Jul 11th - Taylor is named as the highest earning celebrity on the 2016 Forbes Celebrity 100 list, with earnings of $170m mostly due to the 1989 World Tour. If she and Calvin had not split up, they would have been the top-earning celebrity couple. (x)
Jul 12th - Taylor visits Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane. (x)
Jul 13th - Us Weekly makes a wild claim that Tom is planning to propose soon, and Taylor is going to say yes. The magazine cover also claims they're already talking about babies. (x)
TMZ claims that Taylor wrote TIWYCF, and that Calvin disrespecting Taylor following its release was the reason for their breakup. (x)
Taylor Swift really is the creative brains behind Calvin Harris' monster hit "This is What You Came For," and their relationship fell apart because he disrespected her when the song was released ... this according to sources connected with Taylor.
It's a fascinating story. We've learned an early fan rumor about the song is true, but to a deeper extent than anyone suspected. During their relationship, Taylor wrote the song, sat down at a piano and did a demo into her iPhone. She sent it to Calvin, who loved it. They both went into a studio and did a full demo with Taylor on vocals and Calvin doing the beat.
They both knew the song would be a hit, but Taylor wrote it for Calvin and both agreed it was a bad idea to let the world know they collaborated as a couple ... it would overshadow the song.
So Taylor, who kept the publishing rights, used the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg on the credits.
//
The problem in the relationship came the day the song was released. Calvin appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show and Ryan asked, "Will you do a collaboration with your girlfriend?" Calvin responded, "You know we haven't even spoken about it. I can't see it happening though."
We're told Taylor was hurt and felt Calvin took it too far.
It was a quick downward spiral from that point. One source called it "the breaking point in the relationship." The Met Gala was several days later, when Taylor danced with Tom Hiddleston.
Tree confirms to People magazine that Taylor did write TIWYCF under the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg. (x)
Calvin also confirms that Taylor wrote TIWYCF and goes on a Twitter rant:
Katy Perry tweets a gif of Hillary Clinton with a smug/'told you so' expression. (x) She also retweets an older tweet from May 2015 which reads, 'Time, the ultimate truth teller.' (x)
#TaylorSwiftIsOverParty trends on Twitter (x) (x) and Taylor's Instagram comments are spammed with the snake emoji. (x)
Following Calvin's tweets, TMZ publishes another article claiming he is downplaying Taylor's involvement in the song as she wrote the melody in addition to the lyrics. (x)
Jul 14th - Taylor goes out shopping in Gold Coast. (x)
Tom mentions Taylor in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter: (x)
You're in the middle of a cultural frenzy right now because you're dating Taylor Swift. How would you respond to people who claim that you're involved in some sort of publicity stunt?
(Laughs.) Well, um. How best to put this? That notion is — look, the truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we're very happy. Thanks for asking. That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt.
Martha says at a Pepsi/World Emoji Day event that Taylor and Tom are 'both happy and free together. It's amazing, I'm all about people being happy in love.' (x)
Kim talks about Taylor and the Famous controversy in a clip from an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. (x)
“I never talk shit about anyone publicly, especially in interviews. But I was just like I had so had it,” Kim says in the clip to her sister Kourtney. “I wanted to defend him in it. She legitimately quote says, ‘As soon as I get on that Grammy red carpet I’m gonna tell all the press. Like I was in on it.’”
“And then she just didn’t like the reaction?” Kourtney says in response.
“Yeah, and you know just another way to play the victim,” Kim replies. She then brings the infamous VMAs moment from 2009 by saying, “It definitely got her a lot of attention the first time… I just don’t think he should be punished for it still to this day.”
Jul 17th - Kim posts an edited recording of Kanye and Taylor's phone call. In it, they discuss the 'I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex' line and Taylor says, 'Go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it. That’s really nice.' However, nowhere in the Snapchat video does Kanye consult her about the line, 'I made that bitch famous,' which is the line Taylor insisted she had never approved. (x) The other Kardashian sisters retweet and support Kim. (x)
(The full recording of the call, leaked in 2020, confirms that Kanye never told Taylor he was going to call her a bitch. It also shows her reminding him that she sold 7 million albums before he had even heard of her, in response to him suggesting the lyric, 'I made her famous.')
Kim takes to Twitter to call Taylor a snake.
Taylor posts a statement on Instagram responding to Kim's Snapchat video. (x)
Selena tweets, 'There are more important things to talk about… Why can’t people use their voice for something that fucking matters? This industry is so disappointing yet the most influential smh' (x)
Katy Perry tweets, '#RISE above it all' and links to her new single. People interpret it as a dig at Taylor. (x)
Martha Hunt tweets, 'It's pathetic how quick our culture is to sensationalize a fabricated story...' (x)
Jul 18th - #KimExposedTaylorParty spends the day trending at number one worldwide on Twitter. (x) To the point where 0.8% of all tweets posted in the entire week from the 18th-24th use the hashtag. (x) (Assuming that 1/7th of the week's total tweets were posted on each day, that means more than 1 in every 20 tweets on the 18th used the hashtag.) #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty also returns.
TMZ claims to have a copy of a letter from Taylor's lawyer, dating back to February, demanding that Kanye destroy the recording of their phone conversation and reminding him that it is a felony to secretly record a phone conversation in California. (x)
Taylor changes the name on her writing credits for TIWYCF on the BMI songwriters database. She is now listed as Taylor Swift instead of Nils Sjöberg. (x)
Camilla Belle, the subject of Taylor's 2010 song Better Than Revenge, posts a quote to Instagram which reads, 'No need for revenge. Just sit back & wait. Those who hurt you will eventually screw up themselves & if you’re lucky, God will let you watch.' (x)
Abigail tweets against Kim and Kanye, saying, 'May God forgive you & your wife for doing to others the very things you pray are NEVER done to your daughter.' She deletes the tweets after receiving death threats but leaves a tweet which reads, 'Guys…I will always stand by my best friend. There's no point in fighting over that.' (x)
Joseph Kahn (director of many of Taylor's music videos) defends Taylor on Twitter. (x)
The aunt of Dinah Jane from Fifth Harmony tweets, 'I always knew @/taylorswift13 was a SNAKE! Trying 2 break up my girls & use @/camilacabello97 as her protégé bitch bye you’ve been exposed!’ (x) The tweet is soon deleted and she claims her account was hacked. (x) (Camila quit the band at the end of 2016 and has since said that Taylor had nothing to do with her decision to leave.) (x)
Paula Erickson, Taylor’s former publicist from 2007 until 2014, likes a two-and-a-half-week-old tweet dragging Hiddleswift for being a badly executed bit of PR by Taylor and Tree. (x)
James Corden spoofs the recorded phone call on the Late Late Show. (x)
Calvin is rumoured to be dating Tinashe. (x)
Jul 20th - Todrick Hall defends Taylor, saying, 'She's one of the most genuine people I've ever met in my entire life.' (x)
Uzo Aduba says Taylor is 'a beautiful person and strong' and that she will overcome the Kimye drama. (x)
Paula likes another tweet shading Taylor and Tree. (x)
A graffiti artist creates a mural in Melbourne 'in loving memory of Taylor Swift' (misspelled as Smith). According to the artist, they are then contacted by Taylor's lawyers and threatened with legal action. (x)
Jul 21st - Taylor's Wikipedia page is vandalised with insults. (x)
Taylor and Tom fly back from Australia into a private airport in LA, and are seen out and about. (x) (x)
Jul 22nd - Fergie, who had Kim appear in her M.I.L.F. $ music video, says she thinks the Kimye-Taylor feud was planned and 'they’ll probably all come together at the MTV Awards or something.' (x)
Taylor goes to the gym in LA. It is the first time she has appeared in public since Kim posted the edited video, and her phone screen is now shattered. (x)
She also returns to Instagram to wish Selena a happy birthday. (x)
Jul 23rd - Taylor goes to the gym in LA. (x)
Tom is at Comic Con in San Diego. (x)
Calvin lip-syncs to Kanye's song That Part in a video posted on his Snapchat. (x) He also attends J-Lo's birthday party and is photographed with Kim. Apparently they have a friendly chat. (x) A source claims to E!, 'When Kim walked in Calvin saw her and stood up. He was clearly excited to see her and said 'hi' to Kim backstage.' (x)
Jul 24th - Taylor blocks the snake emoji from her Instagram comments section using a new Instagram feature. (x)
Tom is seen at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills with members of Taylor's security team. (x)
Jul 26th - Tom flies back to LA from NYC, where he has just spent a couple of days. On the same day, Taylor's plane arrives back in LA from Nashville, where she has spent a couple of days. (x)
VMA nominations are announced. Taylor is not nominated in any category, despite Out Of The Woods and Wildest Dreams being eligible, leading some people to think she has been snubbed. Gossip Cop, an outlet widely used by celebrity publicists to quietly squash rumours, says that Taylor did not submit any videos for consideration this year. (x)
Jul 27th - Taylor goes to the gym in LA. (x)
John Newman, singer of Calvin's song Olé, jokes, 'Supposedly we had a holiday where he was movin’ on from his ex-missus,' referring to the trip to Mexico to film the music video, which involved girls and a yacht. He also says he doesn't think it's his place to say what inspired Calvin to write the song. (x)
Taylor and Tom go for dinner at Hillstone restaurant in Santa Monica. One source claims they 'seemed to really be enjoying each others’ company.' (x) It is the last time they are papped together.
Kanye makes a surprise appearance at Drake's concert in Chicago where he responds to Kim's Snapchat video for the first time, saying, 'All I gotta say is, I am so glad my wife has Snapchat. Because now y’all can know the truth. And can’t nobody talk shit about ‘Ye no more.' (x)
Cara appears on James Corden's show and talks about how she, Uzo and Ruby pranked Kesha and Haim at Taylor's 4th of July party. She mentions consulting Taylor and Tom first so that security knew what they were up to. She also says that Taylor and Tom got woken up at one point by all the noise they were making, and came upstairs together to find Cara and Uzo still making ghost noises. (x)
Jul 28th - Taylor goes to the gym in LA. (x)
Jul 29th - Sources close to Calvin deny rumours that he is planning to collaborate on music with Kanye. (x)
Abigail likes E! News' Instagram photo of Tom and Taylor going out for dinner on the 27th, which has a gushing caption about them. (x)
Jul 31st - Taylor is seen entering her gym in LA through the back door. (x)
A fan sees Tom and Taylor at The Church Key restaurant in LA. (x) The outing is not papped.

I got into Bts like a log of people, through carpool kareoke
but funny enough I loved their music wayyy before
I remember their debut performance at the BBMAS with dna and I was super into watching award shows at the time but I remember fast forwarding through most of the show but stopping at BTS because their dance moves and stage presence was captivating
at the time I didn’t really have internet unless I went to someone’s house who did, so a month later I remember sleeping over at a friends and watching their music videos. from that point on I looked forward to seeing them on award shows. the chorus of the song was stuck in my head and even though I had no idea what they were saying or how to pronounce the words I walked around for months going “Urin wanjeon dalla, baby Unmyeongeul chajanaen durinikka” “Yeongwonhi hamkkenikka (DNA)” ((I looked up the romanized lyrics to give you an idea of how I sounded but it was no where near those pronunciations))
fast forward to the 2020 VMAS, again I fast forwarded through so much of it and maybe watched one or two other songs, and then stopped at BTS bc number one, “ohh this is that song dynamite!!” and then “Oh my gosh ITS DNA GUYS!!”
after watching that performance I went onto youtube and searched BTS and found their Carpool Karaoke video and a lot of times Carpool Karaoke will get me into an artist or a group because not only do you get together songs but you also get to see a little bit of the personality so I remember before I clicked the video I asked myself am I ready to be obsessed with somebody I answered yes to myself watched the video and the rest is history.
At first my bias was Jimin with Namjoon being a close second/bias wrecker ((while watching carpool kareoke it was namjoon but after watching more content it switched to Jimin))
and now my bias is Yoongi with Jhope being my bias wrecker
also I remember watching their fake love performance I can’t remember what award show it was but “I’m so sick of this fake love” and “love you so bad” was stuck in my head for months
I'm so glad you found them again! and asking yourself am i ready to be obsessed and saying yes lol I had no idea I would become obsessed because in my head i was just checking out one song (mic drop) but i was blown away so i went to BS&T and then i was like okay one more, oh an interview, oh another interview, oh well lemme learn their names, oh look it's 3 years later and i have a bookshelf of their merch lmao and yes i love that about carpool karaoke 'cause they each get to not only sing but also have a little chat and i think that's what draws you in. and of course fake love is one of my favorites, still is lol i'll sing it obnoxiously when i play it in the car even tho my pronunciation is shit, i know i got the english parts lmao so i can try to sound somewhat decent lol ooh yoongi and hoseok, i loved hoseok rapping daechwita in muster, he did so well i was blown away like they all did well but Hoseok just wow he's so amazing!

Hey all I hope tay sees this and she smiles but if she doesn't I hope you all can relate to some part and we can collectively feel warm fuzzies 💖💖🐱
Hey Taylor,
How are you? How are the cats? I hope this finds you well. I wanted to tell you a little bit about something amazing that just happened. I just purchased a ticket to Lover Fest, which will be the first time I have seen you live in 13 years of being a fan (and I got seat #13 just because I'm that extra). I could only afford a nosebleed section, but you can bet your ass I'll be yelling at the top of my lungs and having the best time ever! (Oh god I'm already crying writing this)
I've always felt guilty for not getting tickets to your previous shows and showing you how much you mean to me through literally screaming and dancing to every song, so I wanted to share some memories with you of how deeply you have impacted my life.
I remember when I was 12 and my dad bought me a portable CD player to listen to TS1 and Fearless on plane rides between my parents houses, and how calm they made me in a scary situation like flying alone.
I remember getting so angry when I saw the clips of the 2009 VMAs on youtube and vowing to never treat anyone with that much disrespect.
I remember dancing in my room to The Story of Us and thinking the music video was soooooo cool.
I remember listening to Safe and Sound from the Hunger Games, trying to comfort myself through a really painful sickness.
I remember dancing around my room to 22 at 3 am trying not to wake up my dad but having so much fun.
I remember laying on my bed crying to Sad Beautiful Tragic after going through a bad breakup.
I remember my first time driving a long distance alone after getting my lisence and blasting Enchanted, Sparks Fly, Forever and Always, Red, and I Wish You Would with the windows rolled down.
I remember singing Shake it Off at karaoke when I thought I was going to quit college, and then thinking "if Taylor can get through all she goes through, I can too"
And I remember watching the vlogs of the rep tour and being so proud of how far you've come as an artist and person.
I am so grateful for all of your hard work that led to these memories that I will never forget. When I was a kid, we didnt have enough money or time, really, to be able to go to your shows, but now that I'm almost out of college with a job, I finally bought myself a ticket to your show.
So in conclusion, I hope this post gives you something to smile about when you feel down, just like how your music made me feel better when I was down.
And I hope you know that theres a girl, way up in the nose bleeds 3rd row from the top, in seat 13 (of course), who is having the time of her life because of your hard work and dedication over these past 13 years.
Thank you, so much.
Maggie

fame.
request: harry is friends with y/n, a 17-year-old singer/musician who he can’t help but act like an older brother to and protect
or
where harry knows the industry more than y/n does
a/n: such an original title, I know. anyways, I got carried away with this, I thought it was very cute and I'm very tempted to make a second part. Harry and y/n are only friends in this!! There will be no type of romantic relationship whatsoever :)
also I start school tomorrow, rip...
“Here are the nominees for Best New Artist...”
Harry’s voice resonates throughout the venue, colossal screens beginning to merge into a colorful montage of talented musicians. With his hands properly folded behind his back, he manages to catch a glimpse of y/n, who lets out a nervous sigh before slinking further down into her seat.
“Don’t worry,” her publicist says from behind her, giving her shoulders a comforting squeeze. “You’ve got this.”
Y/n nods, but senses a slight shiver ripple through her body when her music video appears on the screens. It is comforting to know that her fans are supporting her in the audience tonight when cheers begin to roar across the sea of people. She even spots some of her life-long idols applauding for her music, which also includes her friend standing in front of the mic stand with an enclosed card caressed in his hands.
It’s surreal to know that the Harry Styles has become one of her most trusted friends since breaking into the crazy industry. In her bedroom at 13 years of age, she used to sing One Direction songs into her hairbrush while her mother was out grocery shopping. Tonight, four years later, her favorite member is sending her a reassuring smile despite the large crowd that stands between them.
She’s worked endlessly to be where she is tonight, sitting alongside the biggest names in the industry, nominated for this year’s Best New Artist at the VMA’s. Y/n has earned a name for herself in the past couple of years, but she believes tonight will determine whether or not she is on the right path to global success.
“And the VMA goes to...” The venue fills with a suspenseful silence as Harry attempts to rip through the enclosed card containing the winner.
People from the audience begin to shout out different nominees, and when a majority of them end up being y/n’s name, she senses a chill in her bones. She doesn’t want the whole nation to see her fail. She doesn’t want her family, friends, and fans to be disappointed in her.
Despite her self-doubt, the cheeky grin that Harry sends in her direction after reading the card lets her know that she has done something right.
“Y/n Y/l/n!”
Piercing screams and ear-shattering applause drowns the entire venue when y/n’s name is announced. Her hit single begins to blast through the speakers and even then, she cannot seem to believe that any of this is real. Raising slowly from her seat in shock, her accompanying family congratulates her with tight embraces and glistening eyes.
Don’t trip, don’t trip, don’t trip, y/n thinks to herself as she makes her way over to the stage. She touches hands with the fans reaching out to her from the sides, grabbing onto Harry’s outstretched hand when she makes it to the top of the stairs.
The audience goes into a little frenzy when the two embrace, Harry handing over the iconic Moon Man award given to him by one of the stagehands and shouting to her, “Congratulations, darling. I knew you’d win it!”
This feels like a dream. Y/n is at a loss for words and it takes Harry gently guiding her over to the mic stand for her to come to terms with the reality of her situation.
“Wow,” she breathes out, cradling the heavy award in her arms. “I can’t believe any of this is happening. First of all, thank you, Harry. I am so honored to be receiving this award from someone that I am lucky enough to call a friend...”
Harry chuckles at her shaking figure, nodding in appreciation while she rambles on with her speech. She goes on to thank every person from her team that comes to mind, apologizing in advance if she forgets to mention anybody. She expresses gratitude for her family that is supporting her tonight from the audience and at home. Of course, she does not forget to thank her fans over and over again, dedicating the award to them because, “without you, I am nothing.”
Her speech wraps up just as the music plays overhead, indicating that she is going over time. She waves a final goodbye to the audience, tangling her arm with Harry’s as they shuffle off to the backstage.
“Oh my god,” she groans, slapping her forehead with her empty hand. “That was so embarrassing. Why can’t I ever shut up?”
Harry laughs at her, wrapping his arms around her as they lean from side to side.
“It wasn’t that bad,” he tells her, placing his hands on her shoulder. “Lots of people take ages to wrap up their speech. At least yours was entertaining.”
“I doubt it.”
“Oh, c’mon, y/n. Stop being so hard on yourself. You’re the Best New Artist, you need to celebrate!”
In an immediate second, y/n’s entire face lights up when she is reminded of her accomplishment. She raises the Moon Man in her hand, cradling it like a baby and even going as far as to kiss the silver coating.
“I’m the Best New Artist!” she jumps from one leg to the other, earning chuckles from the people backstage. “Ugh, I can’t wait for the after party. I’m going to have so much fun!”
Harry’s smile diminishes at her words. “Wait, after party? What are you talking about?”
“You know...” y/n trails off, playfully shoving his shoulder. “The one at Taylor’s penthouse that everyone’s going to.”
“Taylor?” Harry repeats, eyebrows skyrocketing. “Swift?”
“Duh, what other Taylor is there?”
“W-What about your family? Are they also going to this after party?”
“They’re still tired from their flight here this morning,” y/n says with a wave of her hand. “They said they were going back to the hotel room after this.”
Harry looks down at her, puckering his lips in a pensive manner. “Mmm ... no,” he says with a shake of his head, “You’re not going.”
Y/n is busy inspecting her award when she hears Harry’s declaration. “Excuse me?”
“You’re not going to Taylor’s penthouse.”
“Says who?”
“Says me,” he childishly retaliates. “Y/n, you’re 17. You never know what goes on at parties like that.”
Y/n eyes him up and down. “Hmm, you would know,” she mumbles.
“S’cuse me. Are you ... taking a slag at me?” Harry asks, narrowing his eyes.
“I don’t know, Harry, who is Perfect about, huh?”
The older man sighs, pinching his nose in a way that y/n would say is very dramatic of him.
“You’re right,” he says, nodding his head. “I would know, which is why you should listen to me and learn from my mistakes.”
“But Harry—”
“Harry! Y/n! Let’s get a picture!”
Their conversation is interrupted by the photographers hired backstage, cameras at the ready while the two have no choice but to pose with each other. Flashes invade y/n’s eyes and though she tries very hard to keep them open, she can’t help but squint and hide herself behind her empty hand.
“Alright, I think that’s enough,” Harry politely suggests, nodding a quick thank you to the photographers before going back to his conversation. “Are you alright?”
Y/n blinks away the polychromatic dots stuck in her vision and eventually nods with reassurance. When she can finally see clearly once again, she catches Harry’s concerned expression and sighs.
“Fine,” she gives in, stubbornly hugging her award. “I won’t go to the after parties, but I still want to celebrate.”
“We can go to dinner then,” Harry suggests, smiling with self-gratification. “My treat. Does that sound about right?”
“Only if there’s karaoke involved. I have a legacy to live up to now, Styles!”
Y/n has to hand it to her publicist.
Her schedule is completely booked by the week following her big win at the VMA’s. She finds herself in the following months traveling all across the globe, featuring in dozens of magazines and having quick chats with late night talk show hosts. In the midst of all of this chaos, y/n has taken her free time to write some new material for her new album. It has been a hectic rollercoaster ride, but months later, she has finally found a place to rest.
When her friend Harry mentions to her that he is also visiting the wonderful state of New York, the two waste no time in making quick plans with each other. The last time y/n had seen Harry was the night he took her out to a celebratory dinner with their mutual friends, which also happened to be the last time she had the chance to let loose and relax.
While the past couple of months have been fun, they have also been extremely draining from the constant work that y/n has to put into her career now. She’s thankful for this opportunity, but she is a teenager after all, and she can’t be more relieved to have a short break before returning back to the chaos.
“Harry!” y/n shouts, running into her friend’s hotel suite and nearly knocking him off his feet from her sudden embrace. “It’s so good to see you!”
“You too, darling.” Harry laughs, scuffing his hand over her head of hair.
“Hey, hey, watch the hair!” she exclaims, pushing his tall figure away before fixing what he messed up.
“Oh, ‘m so sorry, miss diva, shall we call your stylist? Are you parched? Would you like a drink? Non-alcoholic, the drinking age is 21 here.”
Y/n glares at him, shaking her head at his cheeky smirk. “Ha-ha. Always the comedian, Styles.”
“I’m only jokin’.” Harry pauses, his expression suddenly turning very sincere. “I’m actually very proud of ya, y/n. I saw ya on Corden the other night. Before that, I could’ve sworn your face was plastered all over Times Square. You’re really taking the world by storm, as they say.”
Y/n feels her face heat up. She can’t help but suddenly turn shy at his kind words. She’s considered Harry as a sort of mentor for all of this fame that has been thrown her way, considering the two had met at the start of her career. To know that Harry is proud of her and all of her accomplishments is quite literally an accomplishment in itself.
“Wow. Thanks, Harry. That ... really means a lot.”
“I’m glad.” He nods, then claps his hands together. “Alright, so are we planning to go to the shops or what?”
“Of course. I’ve been dying to see how much self-control you lose when in the Gucci store.”
Y/n doesn’t know why it is surprising to her when she sees paparazzi swarming right outside the hotel entrance. It’s not as if she’d been incognito on her way up to Harry’s suite. It’s quite obvious that she had been spotted, and someone then tipped off the paps, but perhaps it is the large quantity of them that makes her a bit uneasy.
“Y/n, y/n! Over here!”
“Harry, when is the band getting back together?”
“Hey, y/n! How’s it going? Going out for a nice date with your boyfriend Harry?”
Amid the blinding flashes of cameras invading her personal space, y/n finds herself doing a double take at the pesky reporter’s question.
“Excuse me?” she questions, her bodyguard attempting to guide her and Harry to the remaining few feet to the car.
“Just keep walking, y/n,” Harry whispers, softly pulling on her arm in a desperate attempt to get away from the press.
“He’s not my boyfriend,” y/n laughs, finding it quite humorous that the media seems to think her friendship is anything more than amiable. Of course, she’s seen the fans speculating on social media, but she hopes her declaration is enough to leave the situation alone.
“Oh, right, weren’t you going out with Wes Anderson the other week?”
The shutters of cameras only seem to get more intense with that question. “What?” y/n scoffs, tilting her head at the ridiculous accusation.
“You were leaving his place, right? Late at night? Did you have fun?”
Y/n suddenly feels like she can’t breathe. She had been at Wes Anderson’s place, but she’d been having dinner with his family while the two discussed having her write a song for his new movie. She didn’t know the cameras had been watching her that day, and it makes her skin crawl to know that the media thinks she’s having an affair with someone almost three times her age.
“S’cuse me, do you have something better to do than harass a 17-year-old?” Harry speaks up, not even bothering to hear the pap’s excuse before leading y/n into the car.
He makes sure that she gets in before following after her, never feeling more relieved to shut the door on those pestering cameras. He knows he’s going to get media attention for his remark.
“Y/n,” he says, frowning at her shocked expression. “Are you alright?”
Y/n doesn’t speak. She’s replaying the question over and over again in her head. She can already imagine the nasty messages people must be leaving for her on social media. The thought disgusts her and suddenly the pressure building up inside of her in the last couple of months finally releases.
“Y/n,” Harry repeats, wanting to comfort her but also wanting to make sure she has some space to cool down. “Y/n, look at me. Listen to me, at least.”
The younger girl swallows harshly, blinking away the few tears that are threatening to fall. She scolds herself for being so ridiculous over a silly comment, but she’s noticed that silly comments seem to have large effects on careers like hers.
Harry sighs, pondering of what he can possibly say to her in this moment to make everything okay again.
“Being in this industry for quite some time now, I’ve learned that ... not everyone is as nice as you hope. These people with cameras, invading your privacy, they’re not all nice people. Sure, some of them are just trying to do their jobs, and some of them can be very respectful. But a lot of them will say just about anything to get a rise out of you.”
Y/n raises her head at this point, fiddling with her hands as she lets Harry continue with his rant.
“Take me for an example. Do you really think I’m some kind of ... womanizer?”
“No,” she immediately croaks out. She’s always hated that people have given Harry that disgusting label. “You’re not.”
“And you’re not whatever vile things they make up about you. I know that, your friends know that, your family, your fans ... anyone that’s lucky enough to know you know that that isn’t you. But at the end of the day, all that matters is that you know that too.”
Y/n forces a smile, feeling a weight lift off her chest from Harry’s reasonable words. “Thanks,” she mutters, unable to resist giving her friend a kind hug of appreciation. “It’s just hard to ignore them, you know?”
“I know,” Harry agrees, patting her back softly. “Trust me, it won’t get any easier, but you’ll eventually learn that silence is key, especially if you want them to take a really nice candid of you.”
“Can’t I just give them the middle finger and call it a day?”
“Oh yeah, ‘m sure TMZ will love that.”
Y/n chuckles, pulling away from her friend and bucking her seatbelt. While the situation still has her a little on the edge, she feels alleviated from Harry’s pep talk. It is true that the world she has been thrown in at such a young age is quite intense, but she’s grateful that she has someone like Harry to protect her from it all.

Taylor Swift vs. Katy Perry: The Complete Timeline of Their Feud
Taylor Swift and Katy Perry's pop star feud just keeps on giving!
Over the past few years, these famous frenemies have seemingly used their beef as songwriting material, addressed their differences in interviews and have gotten their squads involved.
Here's a look back at how the feuding first began and how it's progressed:
Sept. 8, 2014: Taylor Swift's Rolling Stone Interview

Prior to Swift's revealing Rolling Stone tell-all, Perry and Swift appeared to be friends, gamely posing at awards shows together.
But Swift had everyone talking ahead of the release of her GRAMMY-winning 1989 album, thanks to her quotes to Rolling Stone magazine, in which she revealed that she had a feud with a fellow pop star, which inspired her hit song, "Bad Blood."
"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not," Swift said. "She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'"
"She did something so horrible," she continued. "I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”
Several internet commenters then noted that Perry did lure a few backup dancers away from Swift's tour as she embarked on her own Prismatic tour in 2014. However, according to one of the dancer's agents, the dancers "exercised a 30-day out in their contracts and left Taylor, but Katy didn't steal them."
"They just didn't want to tour with her anymore because there is basically no choreography or dancing in her show," the agent claimed.
While Swift did say that the feud had nothing to do with a boy, both previously dated singer John Mayer.
Sept. 9, 2014: Katy Perry Calls Swift a 'Mean Girl'
Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing...
— KATY PERRY (@katyperry) September 9, 2014
Perry didn't shy away from Swift's Rolling Stone comments, tweeting the next day: "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing..."
In January 2015, Perry confirmed the tweet was pointed at Swift.
"If somebody is trying to defame my character, you're going to hear about it," Perry told Billboard magazine when asked if her tweet was about the "Shake It Off" singer.
May 23, 2015: Taylor Swift Will Never, Ever Talk About Katy Perry Again
In an interview with The Telegraph, Swift made it clear she was over Perry. "I'm not giving them anything to write about," she said when asked about about her nemesis. "I'm never going to talk about her in my interview. It's not going to happen."
Swift did, however, confirm she had her "enemies" in the business. "It's not real if someone appears to never have any issues with anyone," she explained. "I have my friends. I have enemies."
July 22, 2015: Katy Perry Hits Back at Taylor Swift Amid Her Nicki Minaj Beef
Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman...
— KATY PERRY (@katyperry) July 22, 2015
The pop star feud was resurrected when Perry jumped in on the Twitter beef between Swift and Nicki Minaj over the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards nominees.
"If I was a different 'kind' of artist, 'Anaconda' would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well," Minaj tweeted, getting vocal about her VMA snub. “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year."
Swift took the tweet personally, responding, “I've done nothing but love and support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other.”
Perry then chimed in with a devastating tweet referencing "Bad Blood."
"Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman..." she wrote.
July 27, 2015: Taylor Swift Throws 'Left Shark' Shade at Katy Perry

— Jillian ❤🎤🎧 (@Swifty448) July 26, 2015
Swift appeared to be back at it again later that month, seemingly trolling Perry during her Foxborough, Massachusetts, stop as part of her 1989 world tour. Her performance of "Bad Blood" curiously featured a cameo from a life-sized shark mascot -- a not-so-thinly veiled dig at Perry's Super Bowl dancer-turned-internet meme.
July 13, 2016: Calvin Harris Brings Taylor Swift and Katy Perry's Feud to the Forefront

— KATY PERRY (@katyperry) July 13, 2016
Time, the ultimate truth teller.
— KATY PERRY (@katyperry) May 9, 2015
Swift's ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris, brought up Swift and Perry's bad blood when he slammed the singer on Twitter. Harris was upset after Swift's rep confirmed that the singer wrote his and Rihanna's summer hit, "This Is What You Came For," under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg -- when the two were still a couple -- and after Swift began dating actor Tom Hiddleston, who she broke up with that same year.
"Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though," he tweeted, after initially praising Swift. "I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do."
"I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it," he continued.
Perry later tweeted out a GIF of Hillary Clinton shooting out an epic "I told you so"-look shortly afterward.
Adding more fuel to the fire, Perry then retweeted her own tweet from May 2015, where she wrote, "Time, the ultimate truth teller."
Sept. 10, 2016: Katy Perry Would Collaborate With Taylor Swift Under One Condition
if she says sorry, sure!
— KATY PERRY (@katyperry) September 10, 2016
Perry was looking for an apology after a fan asked her on Twitter: "Will you ever collab with Taylor Swift?"
She surprisingly tweeted back: "If she says sorry, sure!"
Oct. 26, 2016: Katy Perry Rocks Out to Kanye West's 'Famous' Taylor Swift Diss
Perry once again rekindled the pop star feud while celebrating her 32nd birthday at Kanye West's concert in Inglewood, California. She even shared a video of herself dancing along to the rapper's now infamous Swift diss in "Famous."
May 20, 2017: Katy Perry Calls "Swish, Swish" an 'Anthem' Against Bullying
Though Perry never mentions Swift in her song, "Swish, Swish," the track is clearly slamming somebody, and of course, fans couldn't help but notice that that "swish" isn't so far off from Swift.
"From a selfish or a sheep/ Don't you come for me/ No, not today/ You're calculated/ I got your number," Perry sings. "'Cause you're a joker/ And I'm a courtside killer queen/ And you will kiss the ring/ You best believe."
"So keep calm, honey, I'ma stick around/ For more than a minute, get used to it," she continues. "Funny my name keeps comin' outcho mouth/ 'Cause I stay winning."
"I think it's a great anthem for people to use whenever someone's trying to hold you down or bully you," Perry told Jimmy Fallon about the song during her appearance on The Tonight Show. "That's kind of what this record is about. It's just like [a] 360-degree liberation. ... I think 'Swish' represents the liberation from all the negative that doesn’t serve you."
Of course, some of Swift's pals definitely didn't see it that way. Ruby Rose took to Twitter to defend Swift and slammed Perry, writing: "Purposeful poop" to 'bomb a petit' to a sloppy mess of writing over the top of Funkagenda..stop trying to make 'Wit..I mean 'fetch' happen."
"I've always stood up for the people I love and against things I think are cheap or mean spirited. That's not new. You have to follow your ❤," the actress continued. "I just think with everything going on in the world to go from rebranding as political activist only to ditch it and go low.. is.. a bummer."
May 22, 2017: Katy Perry Claims Taylor Swift 'Started' Their Feud and 'It's Time for Her to Finish It'
Perry didn't hold back during her Carpool Karaoke segment with James Corden, addressing the beef head-on.
"Honestly, it's really like she started it and it's time for her to finish it," Perry said after the Late Late Show host asked her to clear things up. "She wouldn't speak to me. I do the right thing any time that it feels like a fumble. It was a full shut-down and then she writes a song about me and I'm like, 'OK, cool, cool, cool. That's how you wanna deal with it?'"
"But, what I wanna say is that I'm ready for that B.S. to be done," she added. "Now, there is the law of cause and effect. You do something and there's going to be a reaction. And trust me, Daddy, there's going to be a reaction. It's all about karma."
It should be noted that "Swish Swish," coincidentally, has a line about karma, where Perry croons, "Karma's not a liar."
June 8, 2017: Katy Perry Slams Taylor Swift for 'Trying to Assassinate' Her Character
Perry wasn't quite done talking about Swift. In an interview with NME, she gave background on why she decided to address the feud with Corden.
“I mean, I’m not Buddha -- things irritate me,” she said. “I wish that I could turn the other cheek every single time, but I’m also not a pushover, you know? Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls [her fans]. That’s so messed up!”
June 8, 2017: Taylor Swift Puts Entire Song Catalog Back on Streaming Services -- Right When Katy Perry's Album Drops
Actions speak louder than words. Though Swift has stayed silent on Perry's comments about her, she announced on June 8, 2017 that her entire song catalog would return to all streaming services at midnight -- just when Perry's Witness album dropped.
Perry was later asked about whether the move bothered her during an interview with the Today show's Natalie Morales. "I don't know, I can only do me," Perry replied. "All I need to say to her is I love her, and God bless her on her journey. And that’s it."
June 10, 2017: Katy Perry Is '100 percent' Ready to 'Let Go' of Feud
Perry made it clear that she was ready to make amends with Swift during a conversation with Arianna Huffington, which was live streamed to promote Witness.
"I'm ready to let it go. Absolutely, 100 percent," Perry said of the longtime beef. "I forgive her, and I'm sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her, and I think it's actually... I think it's time."
"There are bigger fish to fry, and there are bigger problems in the world," she continued. "I love her and I want the best for her, and I think she's a fantastic songwriter, and like, I think that if we both, her and I, can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go, like, 'Yeah, we can do this.' Maybe I don't agree with everything she does, and maybe she doesn't agree with everything I do, but like, I just... I really, truly, want to come together, and in a place of love and forgiveness, and understanding and compassion."
June 12, 2017: Katy Perry Changes a Key 'Swish, Swish' Lyric
Perry backed up her conciliatory quotes by pointedly changing a few lyrics while singing "Swish Swish" during an outdoor concert for her fans. Instead of singing the line, "Don't you come for me," in the first verse, Perry sang, "God bless you on your journey, oh baby girl."
July 19, 2017: Katy Perry Says She's 'Always Loved' Taylor Swift Despite Their 'Differences'
Perry wasn't done trying to make nice with Swift.
In an interview on Australia's Today show, Perry reiterated that she had love for the singer. "I mean, I love her, I always have," Perry told host Richard Wilkins. "We've had our differences, but I just continue to say, 'God bless her on her journey.'"
While Swift never acknowledged Perry's compliments, Twitter was abuzz that the ladies would finally put their beef behind them at the VMAs. After all, Swift did so with West at the 2015 VMAs when she presented the Video Vanguard award to the rapper, and when she jumped onstage to open the show with Minaj after their Twitter feud that same year.
However, Swift did not end up attending the 2017 VMAs.
August 24, 2017: Katy Perry Releases Star-Studded "Swish, Swish" Music Video
youtube
Like Swift's "Bad Blood" music video, Perry enlisted a bunch of celebrities to star in the music video for her single, "Swish, Swish," her diss track widely speculated to be about her frenemy. The release was ahead of Swift dropping her first single, "Look What You Made Me Do," off her album, Reputation.
August 24, 2017: Taylor Swift Releases Shady "Look What You Made Me Do" Music Video
youtube
While Perry hosted the VMAs, it was Swift that got people talking with her shade-tastic music video for "LWYMMD."
Main moments of shade include Swift made up in a way that could be described as “Katy Perry-esque” and wrecking a car (complete with a Katy-cat in the front seat).
March 17, 2018: Karlie Kloss Addresses Taylor Swift Feud Rumors After Hanging Out With Katy Perry
The model-turned-tech philanthropist was longtime friends with Swift, and opened up to The New York Times after fans started speculating that she was now Team Katy. After all, the girls was spotted hanging out together a month prior.
"Don't believe everything you read," Kloss said simply.
March 18, 2018: Katy Perry Subtly Shades Taylor Swift on 'American Idol'

During a montage segment of Idol hopefuls auditioning for the panel, Perry's fellow judge, Luke Bryan, asked one scruffy, guitar-carrying singer, who he looks up to as a musical artist. "I'm sorry for this Katy… Taylor Swift," the hopeful answered nervously.
"Oh, you don't have to be sorry," Perry replied.
"I love Taylor Swift," the contestant added, emphatically.
"I love her, as a songwriter, as well," Perry stuttered, before shrugging indifferently.
Will these two ever make amends? Here's more on the feud:
May 8, 2018: Katy Perry Sends Taylor Swift a Literal Olive Branch:
It appears the feud is finally over. Swift shared a video of an olive branch and a note from Perry on her Instagram Stories on May 8, one night before her Reputation tour kicked off. The note is addressed "Hey Old Friend," and a closer look at the handwriting shows that Perry apologized to Swift.
"Hey old friend, I've been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and the feelings between us, I really want to clear the air," the note reads.
Swift was clearly pleased by the gesture.
"So, I just got back to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch," she says in the video. "This means so much to me."
"Thank you Katy," the text on the video also reads, along with pink heart emojis.

— Taylor Swift Updates (@TSwiftPR) May 8, 2018
A source told ET that Perry gave her apology to the "Gorgeous" singer a lot of thought before sending it, and has been wanting to bury the hatchet for a while now.
“Katy planned a very personal, sweet apology and took time to write a kind note in hopes Taylor would see how much she cared about putting this behind them,” the source said. “Katy told friends if Taylor didn't accept this apology, she would keep trying because she is done holding on to the past and wants to be part of the change in today's society. She wants to set a good example for women, so she planned to never give up, if that is what it took."
“Katy hopes they finally can be supportive of each other's music and maybe one day soon even hang out together again," the source added. "Katy realizes they need to take it one day at a time, but that this is a great start.”

Katy Perry vs. Taylor Swift Beef Debrief: Experts Declare Winner & Loser -- Or Call for a Truce
For almost three years, it was the Voldemort of pop diva beefs: a roiling public battle whose generals could not, would not be named, even if everyone had both on their tongues almost from the start. Taylor Swift came out first, swinging hard with "Bad Blood" in 2014, but in interviews she demurred when it came to describing the subject of the song beyond saying it was "about losing a friend" and that the person (ID'd as a fellow female pop star) did something "so horrible" they became "straight-up enemies."
Katy Perry, her alleged target, subtweeted a short time later about watching out for "Regina George in sheep's clothing" and then weighed in on a side beef between Swift and Nicki Minaj with another tweet in 2015. Fast-forward to last month, when Perry revved up the promo machine for her Witness album by menacingly telling Entertainment Weekly: "You can't mistake kindness for weakness and don't come for me."
It was the first of several shots fired from Perry, who went on to give the most complete rundown to date of the source of the duo's beef during a "Carpool Karaoke" segment -- it was, as rumored, over shared backup dancers -- during which she doubled down on her previous finger-wagging comments. The singer tripled and quadrupled down in subsequent interviews, telling the NME that Taylor tried to "assassinate my character with little girls" after releasing the not-at-all-subtle Minaj duet "Swish Swish."
So there's been a flurry of activity in a battle that everyone thought was pretty much over. In every war, there must be a winner and a loser, so Billboard asked some PR experts to weigh in on who they think came out on top, or whether two of the most powerful women in pop should just call a truce and work together to make a change.
Karen Civil, author, social and digital media strategist "I ran my first marathon listening to 'Roar' the whole time, and I loved how Katy was always so empowering, but with this project and her demeanor, I was confused," said Civil, who took particular issue with Perry's Migos collabo "Bon Appétit," which she said just confused her. "Her and Taylor had their quarrels, but they never said each other's names -- you had 'Bad Blood' -- but when you go public because you want it to be part of your press campaign? You always let the records talk."
Civil said Perry might have looked better if she had arranged a performance where the two women hugged it out, but with Swift keeping quiet, there is no clear winner or loser in this public feud. "Katy usually wins with her music, but this time, it’s not resonating, and Taylor coming back being petty releasing her music on Spotify [the same day Witness dropped], that's not what I want to see," she said. "These are both great women and I hate in our society that there can't ever be more than just one [woman who wins]."
Given the choice between Witness and grabbing all her favorite Swift songs on Spotify, Civil opted for neither, instead grabbing SZA's CTRL album. "It's just Katy beating a dead horse, and, you know, Taylor's not paying it any mind and will just come out with a hit record while Katy's album will come and go," she said. "Taylor needs ammo, and music is therapeutic for her. You're just giving her ammo for a No. 1 hit about you. I'm expecting 'Bad Blood... Continued.' This is a one-sided beef, and I'm not into it."
Verdict: Swift by a nose
Howard Bragman, veteran publicist and crisis manager, founder of Fifteen Minutes PR Bragman is a longtime proponent of the "everyone loves a good comeback story" line of reasoning when it comes to America's obsession with redemption tales. When it comes to this kerfuffle, though, he thinks it's mostly a teen-pop tempest. "I think in the world we live in, it depends on who you liked going in," he said. "The one you like better going in is probably the one you will like going out. We all have an amazing ability to see the world through partisan eyes."
Given Perry's massive career, including what she's done and what she will likely do in the future, Bragman doesn't see her shots fired at Swift -- followed by a series of olive branches and even a "Swish Swish" lyric swap during a performance Monday that switched "don't you come for me" to "God bless you on your journey" -- as a game-changer either way. "This is a non-controversial controversy," he said. "It benefits them both and it doesn't do any real damage. They're both laughing all the way to the bank. I think if they saw each other in the real world, they would hug each other."
Verdict: Both winners
Holly Baird, veteran publicist, crisis manager Baird isn't even really sure if the Taylor vs. Katy beef is as big a deal as Taylor's skirmish with Nicki Minaj over VMA nominations. Plus, she thinks the dancer tug-of-war is only half the story and that the real beef between the women might be the unspoken girl-code breaking that occurred when Perry dated John Mayer after Swift had a brief fling with him in 2009.
"When you're making friends in the industry, any woman, when you call someone a friend and that friend dates someone after you do... you have to wonder, 'Was that person my friend?' and wonder what their motives were," said Baird, who would also rather see women in the industry collaborate than bicker. That said, Baird thinks Swift has taken a "much more gracious route" in this latest digging up of dirt, especially for someone whose every move is placed under the microscope and analyzed in minute detail.
"I love Katy, but I'm not sure if these antics and the interviews where's she's saying, 'You can't mess with me' are really her. It's so edgy and it might not be who she is," she said. "Taylor releasing her music on Spotify is a smart cover move, but I think it would have happened whether Katy was releasing an album or not. I don't think the Spotify thing is a quick call that instantly releases everything. It's a longer process. It's not that deep, but maybe just a sh--ty coincidence."
The bottom line for Baird is that the silent moves are the best, in which case Swift's best one is to not mention, acknowledge or give it any attention. "If you do that, then the situation can't control you -- that's what I tell my clients," she said. "Just release better music and have better contacts and friends. Katy has always been such a great advocate for women standing up for themselves, but sometimes you get in a situation where your emotions are caught up. The best is if they say, 'Let's bury the hatchet and discuss ways we can work together to help other women.' Because that's the message she’s trying to get out. She's not being [counseled properly] and decided to get into dirt and that message isn't getting out."
Verdict: Swift
Marvet Britto, publicist, brand strategist and Britto Agency founder who has worked with Mariah Carey, Foxy Brown, Eve, Angela Bassett and many others
In a career aimed at helping female artists make the most of their brands, Britto has a very simple rule: Stay focused on you. "They're each fueling a beef that is not in alignment with their brand -- being a wholesome advocate for girl power," she said. "They should talk through it privately, because young girls are their base and they should focus on being champions for young women, girl power and feminism. That's what has allowed them to have such vast audiences."
Britto noted that Swift has stayed mostly above the fray this time, coming off as the more mature artist and following her golden branding rule: "The moon never barks down at the dog." In other words, when you're on top, you should focus on what’s ahead and not what's beneath or behind you. "Responding is a distraction that takes you off course," she said. "[Perry] should get back to music and why people fell in love with her in the first place rather than building her career on the back of someone else. True stars at the top of their game are focused and deliberate and don’t allow distractions to take them off course."
Verdict: Call it a truce
ts`989fanatic I personally don’t care what they say Taylor Swift stayed out of it and wins hands down.

so vma is coming next month there a poll saying which celeb should perform can you spread around to not add bts because that mean more schedule for them I want them to rest a bit
Woah, I didn’t know there was even a poll for that…looks like I’m the last informed as always lmao
Now, I can’t just command people to do something because I’m not some dictator, so I will leave it up to armies to decide.
If you guys saw in the ARMY Festa profile I filled out, I was an INFP (INFP-T to be exact). I’m a mediator. I can see both sides of an argument (which is so true irl. Like I can’t pick a side during arguments sometimes, but I can see where both sides are coming from..which is why it makes it so hard to pick a side)
Here I shall display the 2 sides and what I take away from both.
A part of me wants them to perform
More exposure, the epicness of the thought of my old classmates getting to see who I love on their televisions and telling them “SEE! THEY AREN’T THAT BAD!”, leaving America even more shooketh
They’ll get the opportunity to meet more people and network with other artists (I hope problematic armies won’t go start bashing those artists claiming that they’ll just use them for fame. Yes, a part of that may possibly be true, but what if the artist genuinely wants to collab or work with them in the future? Armies can’t go attacking people without any basis first. If the artist treats them like shit, then it’s fair game. I guess you can say it’s like “innocent until proven guilty” It’s wrong of us to ruin any possibility of the boys networking with other international artists just because some rude armies jump the gun and start throwing snarky remarks at people who haven’t done anything wrong yet)
Overall, it would be pretty badass to see the world get blown away (again) …especially America…cuz I’m American and American award show performances are SO BORING like istg… No offence Lorde (I like some of her stuff, Lorde fans plz don’t come for me) but I didn’t wanna waste 4 minutes of my life watching you karaoke to your own song…like…wtf…
But another part of me doesn’t want them to perform.
The boys have been on tour doing concert after concert almost nonstop for months now and on top of that they even said themselves that they’ve been working on their next album set to come out later this year (I’m assuming it’s gonna come out this year since they said they’d have a comeback sometime in the 2nd half of the year). I know that something like this may be routine to them by now, but they’re also human. They can get tired. They can get burned out.
I feel like after doing all this work nonstop, they deserve a good month (or more if the company allows) to cool down. They deserve to spend a break with their families and friends. Or more time to focus on their studies cuz how tf do they even do college work when on tour? I can’t even do my own homework in a reasonable amount of time…and I do absolutely no other shit outside of school aside from a few clubs here and there…imagine trying to get school work done while on tour while working to make new music!
….Damn….I wish my level of multitasking could be as high as any kpop idol’s.
But in conclusion, after working this hard, after visiting so many fans all over the world, after displaying their love through music and dancing and quirky V App broadcasts, I feel like they deserve to kick back and relax. AND NO! I don’t really count Hawaii as a full on vacation since they probably filmed most of it for Bon Voyage.
So there you go. I can’t tell you guys what to do because I don’t have any power over your guys’ opinions, thoughts, and actions. It’s not like I can just tell you guys what to do and expect you to do it (although that’d be pretty cool…GO GET ME SOME ICE CREAM! …no?…no one’s gonna get me an ice cream… dammit, I thought it’d work…)
I just hope you guys can use your good judgement and decide to do what is right based on your own opinions.
You want the boys to have more opportunity to be exposed, network with others, and show the world how great foreign music can be? Sure! Ok with me!
You want the boys to have a rest, have some free time to spend however they wish, and let them recharge for a few weeks? That’s okay! Totally fine by me!
Not everyone can have the same opinions, and I won’t impose anything on anyone.
It’s all up to you guys and what you guys think is right for the boys.
Wow, that got long…. lmao oopsies 😅

BTS
This might be the most random thing I wrote here (aren't all my posts here random in state-of-the-art already?). So, on the trip last weekend, suddenly Mas Kharis blasted Boy With Luv in the car (it’s just his automatic Spotify playlist that did this). Being an ARMY, I can’t help but shout and be happy about it. “OMG, BTS!” It turns out that Mas Kharis and his family also know one or two things about BTS, especially BT21, and then the convo shifts into who BTS is and what makes them popular.
One of the questions Bang Reybi asked me was “why do you like them, Non? What makes you hooked into them?”. The funny thing is… I can’t answer the question. At all. It took me whole 2 mins (?) to think. To be honest, there is no single answer to that question. If I can summarize, the answer would be: “all. everything about them.” But that’s just an answer of someone who loves something unconditionally, someone who’s crazy in love (now playing: Beyonce-Crazy in Love). At this moment, I need to answer rationally, especially now that I talk with 3 men who are doing their PhDs in Oxford.
First thing first, of course, peoples’ guess would be: “Is it because they are handsome?” Well, I wouldn’t be mad at that assumption because how they look definitely play a part. However, it’s not like all of them are over-the-top-good-looking or anything, unlike other Korean boybands such as EXO or TXT as an example from the 4th gen boy group, not all members of BTS are that handsome. There are indeed some eye candies in the group, let’s say V or Jungkook or Jin, but tbh if you look closely, one of my bias (favorite member of one’s group) is RM, which is known for his average look that even some people used to think that he didn’t deserve to be in an idol group (Gosh I wonder how people could be so mean).
So, to that question, I tried to explain by saying that “I can relate to them so much.” I mentioned how I love RM just because I can find so many similarities to him. He loves to enjoy nature, visits art museums, reads books, can’t cook, and can’t drive. He just shows that he is… human. As I am. But, of course, that answer didn’t satisfy Bang Reybi. He argued back by saying “Well, that doesn’t answer the question of why you pick THAT specific person to follow, though. I mean, there are hundreds of people you can relate to, who do the exact same things as RM does as you mentioned before, yet you specifically only choose him, not the others.”
Then I came to my second answer. “Yes, what you’re saying is true”, I said to Bang Reybi. “However, these hundreds of other people, I don’t have access to them. I don’t know how I can follow them since their social media accounts are probably not public, nor I have the chance to meet and find them.” Other arguments come to mind. I mentioned how interactive BTS is with its fans. They always try to communicate with their fans and talk to them via social media. At this moment, I haven’t revealed to them that BTS fans are called by a specific name that is ARMY, and I haven’t got out of the closet yet (as an ARMY). We were just talking about why people get to like BTS in general, including me.
After I mentioned their social media presence, Mas Kharis said more about how BTS is now in every product basically. He said one time his wife asked him to buy a UNIQLO x BTS collab shirt in Oxford since it sold out really fast in Indonesia. And this is where I came out, I accidentally being overproud of BTS and mentioned all of BTS’ collaboration now, including BTSMeal, BTS as the brand ambassador of Tokopedia, Hyundai, Samsung (Korean Pride yeay), and many more. At this point, Bang Reybi be like “Noni, are you a fan of BTS? Because it seems like you’re now an encyclopedia of BTS.” Then, I came out of the closet. Yay! This 27-year-old woman who’s doing PhD at the University of Oxford finally revealed that she is an ARMY (hah lega banget). Bang Reybi then asked since when I became their fan and what things related to BTS that I’ve bought/spent money for.
It’s really funny, though. I also just realized this but in fact, it’s not been that long since I’ve become an ARMY. I got to be an ARMY because of Vannia partly, and the other part is because of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke. It was January 2020, I guess? It’s only been one year! Before that, back in 2019, I just know that Vannia is an ARMY together with other 4-5 ITB Mothers. She mentioned them occasionally when we hang out together, but she never shoves them to me, asked me to listen to them or anything. I just said to Vannia that I knew and heard of them since VMA 2017, and I praised them for their performance but never went deeper for them.
On a weekend back in 2019, I think(?), Vannia asked me to take pictures of BTS in one of the MRT stations and at that time, to be honest, I still have this prejudice of BTS: a boy band, a South Korean boy band who sing and dance and being trained in one of those entertainment company, which is cool, though, because they successfully made their way into Indonesia’s market. Vannia mentioned that for their Tokopedia contract, Tokopedia gave them an empty check to fill, it’s up to them how much they want to be paid as Tokopedia’s brand ambassador. I relayed this information to Bang Reybi and the others in the car and they just awed hearing the fact (I was also awed the first time I heard that).
I believe I also took a pic in this MRT station back then? I only know RM at that time, and I’ve been a fan of him because I know he’s the leader of the band and also one with 148 IQ (in which now IQ is not relevant anymore, but anyways). Will attach the pic if I managed to find it.
Then, later, I started to make myself familiar with the members’ names. And I came across the carpool karaoke video. If you want to call it hidayah, this is it. I think the carpool karaoke video is one of hidayah that I got so that I got in the ‘religion’ – Bang Reybi, Prama, Mas Kharis, and I already agree that this BTS phenomenon is probably how religion started and developed back then. Starting from knowing the members, I started to listen to their music. In my honest opinion, their music is fine, they are not spectacular or anything, but it’s just that their lyrics have very deep meaning (and very beautiful, too, grammatically - God I wish I understand Korean so that I can appreciate their songs more). But I’ve got to say we got better music out there so I can’t really answer “I love them because of their music” to that first question Bang Reybi asked me.
I really went into a rabbit hole since I watched their content. I mentioned to Bang Reybi “another way for them to communicate with their fans is by making a lot of content.” By watching their contents: BTS Gayo, Run BTS, In The Soop, concert making videos, holiday packages, and many more (yes, Bighit really knows how to make money out of them, yeay to capitalism), we as fans got to see the other side of these idols. Not their performing self, with heavy makeup and tight choreography on the stage, but this normal human being that interacts with others sloppily while answering a quiz or playing games. Then again, it’s the “oh I so can relate to them” factor that works here. We fall in love with their characters, with their personalities. Prama then jumped in to conclude mentioning ‘penokohan’, I don’t know what that is in English. But, probably, if we’re to compare with Islamic history/system, it would be similar to how sahabat Rosul loves him so much, or how FPI loves HRS so much. Well, that’s if you want to make some analogies~
Then we jumped into how BTS influences people. Because it’s just crazy how I, personally, just buy books RM recommended or ARMY who are into fashion just buy BTS’ clothes. To this question, “how can they be SO influential?” I have no other option but to simply say “It’s just because we love them so much. You will do anything for the ones that you love. You want to have the same thing, eat the same food, go to the same place. There’s no rational answer when it comes to love.” So, people, if you want to influence others, make sure you get the first step: make them love you, and if you can, unconditionally.
We then delved into so many other things on BTS. We talked about how diverse ARMY is, how their biggest market is the US despite their songs that are in Korean mostly (except the recent release of Dynamite and Butter), and how they can give a winning to political party/candidate if they were to be the one who gives endorsement.
I suddenly remembered this narrative that probably also played part in the rising of BTS popularity. It’s about how they are living proof of a success story. I then went on to talk to these men about how BTS was used to be the underdog, coming from non-big3 entertainment companies in South Korea. Their company didn't have as much money and connection, two important things that are apparently important in guaranteeing a boy group's success in SK. They had such a difficult time getting a slot to perform in a music show, being mocked for their names and their concept, and it took them 2 years to get their 1st music show win. They even had to face the accusation of plagiarism, invalid daesang win, and chart manipulation. It’s a cruel world indeed, but even now when they are at the top (yeay!), they still have to go through discrimination and racism at times just because they’re Asian. In a way, this story of how BTS got through so many hardships and succeeded at the end really empowers so many ARMYs all over the world, especially those with low self-esteem and who feel like they can’t survive the world on their own. Accompanied by their album concept of ‘Love Yourself’ and their speech at the UN, it makes it easier to love them, not only as a 7-member boy group who has good looks and sings and dances but as a messenger and motivator to tell you to be strong and to love yourself.
In the middle of the talk, I forgot who said this, but we suddenly look at the equivalent of this phenomenon -BTS-ARMYs relationship- to the ones that football fans have with their favorite clubs. They are very similar in nature. Bang Reybi mentioned his friend who came to London just to watch the Champions League final together with a fan club in a pub (nobar Bahasa indonesianya mah). However, it has a slight difference when Prama mentioned that most of them are loyal to the club itself, not to the players. I don’t know about ARMYs, though. It seems like most of them would be loyal to the band instead of the member (?), but looking at how hostile BTS solo stan is, I would say we ARMYs more loyal to the member rather than the band itself.
Then a question comes to my mind, so I asked them: “how do you guys pick that specific club you’re loyal to in the beginning? what makes you stan them? Is it how good they play in a match? Or the strategies, the technique they played with? Or what?” Then Mas Kharis explained it’s more like who the league winner/the greatest football club was at that time when they were children and just learning about football. Who you hang out with also might have played a role in your preference of football club. If you hang out a lot with this big brother/friend who supports Chelsea, for example, you would be likely to support them since most of the time you’d only be hearing about how good Chelsea is and how the other groups suck big time. Isn’t it EXACTLY the same as how we girls got into one KPOP boy group? (As in my case, I hang out a lot with Vannia, therefore BTS).
Later, I also said we as ARMYs are not as crazy as people think we are. I could make an argument of how almost all my male friends have this dream to go to the UK just so that they could come to the city/stadium where their favorite football group plays or trains. They also bought their fav groups’ jersey, merch, watch a match together in a café, TWEET NONSTOP when a match was going on, commented on how bad their players’ performance was on Twitter, commented on the coach on Twitter, pick a fight with Twitter account who mocked their fav group, shouted so LOUD whenever their team made a goal or missed a goal. Then, how is that different from us KPOP fans? My long-life dream is to come to Seoul watching BTS perform in Jamsil stadium. I bought BTS’ album, bought their merch, spammed my Twitter timeline on their online concerts, (probably) will shout as loud as those football fanboys when I got to see BTS (which right now with the covid-19, the probability to see them in person with my own eyes in this lifetime would only be 5%). It is the same! It is exactly the same behavior, us and those football club supporters, yet we’re being looked down on as if we’re just immature teenagers with our empty brain and we love them only because of their looks. Ugh. Frustrating.
However, I don’t deny that there are indeed immature teenagers between us ARMY. We’re not a perfect group of people with no flaw. We’re just diverse. So diverse that you can almost find every occupation there is in the world inside the ARMYs circle. You’d find also a very broad range of age, genders, geography, and of course different level of devotion to BTS. It is like a group of people with the same religion, really. In Islam, some people are just so extreme and express their love to Allah in a way that is harmful to the Islamic community itself: e.g., terrorists and suicide bombers. Then when a case of terrorism happened, we’d say “what they did doesn’t represent Islam at all, they are just some of the extremists who don’t even understand what the real Islam is.” So does ARMY. Those ARMYs that are so hostile and very childish that you face or see in social media? They are just a bunch of ARMYs that are on the extreme side. What they did then paint an image of ARMY as a scary and hostile group of teenagers who will do whatever it takes to defend their oppas unconditionally. So, lesson learned here is for us to be careful now in stereotyping and generalizing a group of people.
For closing these 4 pages of essay, a last question Bang Reybi asked was “but I never heard of BTS as often as I heard Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, and Jack Ma, for example. I mean, if they have their ARMYs, if they have that big of an influence in the world, how come I never know about them and how big they are until now?” To this question I answered, “well that’s because you don’t care about music? I mean it’s not like BTS changing the world in the way those names you mentioned did. At the end of the day, the root of BTS is their music, they are a boy band. It is a very niche world indeed. You didn’t hear BTS as much probably it’s just because your life is closer to tech, therefore, Steve Jobs, crypto, therefore, Elon Musk, and economy, therefore, Jack Ma. You wouldn’t check if Ariana Grande is getting married or Lady Gaga buy a new home, would you? Because that information is irrelevant to your life that’s why.”

At this time our tiny valuable child lamb (Justin Bieber) turns 24 years outdated. And man alive, what a wild 24 years it’s been.
Whereas most of us spent the primary two and a half decades-ish of our existence hanging round malls, consuming coolers, and complaining about there being nothing to do, Biebs lived the precise reverse life. Between age 15 and 24, Stratford’s best turned a pop music phenomenon, went rogue (peed in a bucket, misplaced a pet monkey, spit off a resort balcony, and so forth and so forth), and subjected himself to a Comedy Central roast, which is as shut as a well-known particular person can or will get to public torture.
And now, with a wedding-date-worthy girlfriend and tentative plans to start his own church, Little Boy Biebs has launched into the following chapter of his life: that of a grown-ass man. And whereas 24 in common life equates ending college and/or crying about not know what to do or who to be subsequent (see: my few years spent sobbing on the American Eagle money desk whereas counting down the registers), Justin is arguably 46 in pop years, which means this subsequent chapter is certain to ship some actual truths, perhaps a wedding, and loads of perspective.
However till then, listed below are 24 of his best moments.
Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday
1. His embracement of imperfection
Granted, we had no concept how far-reaching that imperfection would find yourself stretching, however no less than he warned us. At his age, I’m pretty sure I’d stolen a procuring cart from a grocery retailer whereas drunk subsequent to a Meals Fundamentals one evening.
Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday
2. The Roast™
The truth that he didn’t weep onstage whereas Hannibal Buress straight up mentioned “I don’t such as you” is the explanation I do know he can survive life within the music trade.
Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday
three. His friendship with Jaden Smith
In case you suppose we’ve forgotten concerning the circa-2011 splendour that was Jaden Smith collaborating with J-Biebs, you clearly haven’t seen By no means Say By no means as a lot as I’ve. Always remember Jaden’s rap verse, always remember me attempting to memorize it.
Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday
four. His monkey
Admittedly, it’s not a greatest second, nevertheless it’s a second nonetheless: J-Biebs as soon as had a pet monkey, after which in Germany, it received taken away.
Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday
5. The Deposition
In March 2014, Justin Bieber’s deposition video was launched into the wild, providing all kinds of expressions together with indifference, annoyance, and “ugh, how did I get right here?” Drink each time he says, “I don’t recall.”
Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday
6. Rhythmic calls for
Again in November, Biebs did the Lord’s work: he requested his viewers to please no less than clap to the beat. And whereas his followers had been lower than amused, as a grown-ass girl who hates the actions of most individuals, I can say I appreciated this — in addition to Justin’s lack of ability to cover his disdain.

eight. Justin for Calvin Klein
Or, the pop star equal of screaming, “I’m an grownup!” whereas we sit watching uncomfortably.
Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday
9. His on-air apology (to/with Ellen)
And it was precisely as painful because the above picture demonstrates. However then after his phase, Child Biebs took to Fb and apologized for his apology — earlier than apologizing for 2012-2014, inclusive. Making him the primary 20-year-old to ever should say he’s sorry for being a bratty teen.
Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday
10. His childhood drumming
However let’s bear in mind one thing a bit extra upbeat. Keep in mind when he was a musical prodigy? Take a look at him drum! Look!

Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday

After which saved performing. Final evening I ate popcorn too quick and lay in mattress studying sipping glowing water till I fell asleep like a tiny toddler. If I threw up wherever, I can promise I’d make everybody round me take me to the ER.
Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday
14. His relationship with Selena Gomez

Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday
18. Renting out the Staples Middle
What’s probably the most romantic film ever? Titanic, duh. What’s the least romantic venue? Most likely an enormous enviornment the dimensions of the Staples Middle. However that didn’t cease Justin from renting it out for Selena Gomez as soon as upon a time. As a result of for those who’re going to observe Titanic, you’re going to observe it in an unlimited venue with an intimate really feel.
Justin’s Bieber’s 24th Birthday

Taylor Swift’s LWYMMD Analysis
Okay, let’s be real. Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” is filled with multi-layered complexities, far more than what I can address in this simple blog post. But there are some things that are obvious which many people are missing from what I’ve seen from all the head scratching confusion on YouTube reaction videos that’s been driving me nuts. First, we have the line “I don’t like your little games.” Of course, this could serve as a metaphor for the games we play in society of taking sides, creating “good guys” and creating villains as if people can be so easily summarized. However, if we’re to take this song very literally, Katy Perry is playing basketball in “Swish Swish” where in her song (not the video) she’s essentially kicking Taylor’s ass in a basketball game “Swish, Swish, Bish.” Taylor’s lyric video also eludes to this line being Perry centered with the use of a chess board. Perry notoriously used a chessboard stage that created all kinds of illusions of movement... including tilting. Hence, “I don’t like your tilted stage.”
For “the role you made me play, of the fool. No. I don’t like you.” This seems to be mentioning something very specific, and for this we have to go back in time. I believe this references Perry’s appearance on carpool karaoke where she essentially said, “Yeah, Swish Swish is about Taylor Swift“. Then, Perry proceeded to explain, her thoughts, on what the beef with Swift was about. She claimed it was a misunderstanding about a back-up dancer(s), and sort of played innocent about it. Perry acted as if she tried to resolve the confusion with Taylor, and Taylor would just have none of it. But I don’t think the beef between Perry and Swift has to do with back-up dancers entirely. I think this goes back to John Mayer.
John Mayer notoriously broke Taylor’ s heart as she revealed in her song “Dear John”. John got quite a lot of bad press afterwards and responded with “Paper Doll” where he claimed that Taylor was like “22 girls all in one”. Then, not long after, he and Perry (who’d became an item) performed a duet called “Love Who You Love” where Perry takes a dig at Taylor’s “Dear John” when Perry’s line in the song is “And some have said his heart’s too hard to hold.” “Some” in this line being Taylor Swift. So, Perry’s essentially dissing Taylor, who’s supposed to be her friend, while dating the ex that broke Taylor’s heart. That is pretty shitty, in and of itself, but then Perry recruits Taylor’s back-up dancers to add insult to injury a short while later. As if that weren’t enough, she goes on carpool karaoke, “laughs while she lies” and acts as if “Swish Swish” is well deserved “karma” for Taylor’s “Bad Blood”.
Personally, I think “Look What You Made Me Do” is not only mocking Katy’s “Karma” but a sort of mocking nod to Perry’s “This is How We Do”. A clue to that can be found in the vault of Taylor’s video, where everyone’s not only wearing Katy Kat masks but Taylor’s “squad” looks an awful lot like Perry’s in her video.
There’s also the big, glaring clue of a tiger on Taylor’s sweatshirt that says “Blind for Love”. Could that go back to John Mayer’s and Katy’s “Love Who You Love” sort of mocking their ultimate break up after Katy dissed Taylor for saying John’s heart was too hard to hold? Next up, we have all sorts of people making a big deal about Kim Kardashian and the bath tub. But Katy also bathed in gems in “This is How We Do”.
This could very well be, yet another thing Taylor’s talking about Perry thieving (aside from back up dancers) as Taylor once mentioned bathing in pearls, so perhaps she one-upped Katy by taking a bath in diamonds. Then, we have the car crash scene where Taylor looks like Perry. For this, we need to go back to “Swish Swish” where Perry says Taylor will kiss her ring. The ring, in this scenario being Katy’s Super Bowl ring... making her self-defined Queen. Taylor’s dig in the scene is flashing her grammy after crashing a gold car (similar to the gold vehicles of Katy’s Prism tour) just outside a T.S. shop. In other words, Katy can’t touch Taylor Swift. Katy may have a Super Bowl ring, but she’s yet to win a grammy.
“Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time” is a clear response from Taylor to Perry’s “...another one in the casket” in Swish Swish.
Overall, “Look at what you made me do” is a multi-faceted song and video that I’m sure has more complex meanings and touches on a variety of things. But these are what stands out to me most. I think much of this song is a dig on Perry as evidenced by Taylor going full-on attack mode toward Perry. She released the lyric video on the same day that Perry released the official video for “Swish Swish,” and within two days Swift had the official video ready for the VMA’s which Perry was to host. Whatever Swift’s “Look at what you made me do” fully means, it’s sure one hell of an artistic introduction to what’ll prove to be a very interesting, debated, and complex album.
