This prob gonna flop but I don't care honestly, i had in my drafts since November 😭. I've been holding this for a sec but its probably one of the final things I'll be making about Andreas because i dont want this blog to be ALLLL about him at all. A little summary is im explaining how the evidence he sends to people trying to "disprove the allegations" has a bunch of plotholes. My friend didn't know what to do with this stuff so I took it into my own hands.

2-3 months ago, Andreas [u/andreas_ronnberg] wrote somebody I know on reddit after he kept calling him out on a thread Andreas 100% corrupted by making his fans who downvote anyone who dare to say they had a negative view of him or look deeper into the grooming situation. He used this long, copy-pasted reply at the beginning of the chat to "disprove" the "allegations" and say they're false and/or twisted around. So technically, this is Andreas' side of everything for anyone who wanted to see both sides, although I'm not sugar coating anything and I'm pointing out his flaws here, my blog, my rules. Plus Andreas blocked me but if he sees this from an alt since he's so crazed about his reputation that'll be funny.

Okay, so first of all, this copy-pasted paragraph is written really weirdly but I'll list it first since its funny as fuck, "The rumors are made by an obsessed manipulative fanGIRL who now identifies as NONBINARY and their TRANSGENDER boyfriend" LOL. He misgendered Sani right then and there while saying he was trying to be "respectful" and then made a PS saying that he mentioned their genders because they hate being misgendered. I dunno about you, but I feel like he DEFINITELY did that on purpose. Also, Sani isn't a "fangirl" of this man, if he used past tense before they were nonbinary it would make sense but using fangirl in general is just odd. but it's whatever and not the main thing we are focusing on there.

The first screenshots doesn't matter because it's just saying "fuck you, we claim the characters now" which just made his feelings hurt for a grown man, but this police report one is interesting.

(also I have no clue how this considered his only proof of strong harassment with Sani because there is worse than meanie hastags, especially when he uploaded someone's barely censored nudes... but hm sure sani is more "fragile" 😹

The top notification says "Notification of your decision," and the rest say, "Copy of your police report", you see, this would be believable for me if it actually had a name attached to it.... even though this is the supposed police report against the Sani, Sani would literally say to you nothing is happening right now, not even in court. Not only that, but this (again) shows no proof it was against the victim and could be just an entirely random person he's reporting. If you think about it, if something was happening in court and he was winning due to everything being quote on quote, "misinformation, false rumors, manipulated content, and irrelevant stuff taken out of context." He wouldn't have been privately dming people out the blue saying he's innocent, might as well be very formal and public about it if he ACTUALLY was though.

Finally, he doesn't meet court standards anyway. If they look into him deeper, they'd see his history of drug use (which is especially serious with Swedish laws) and the revenge porn he willingly uploaded on his server.

REGARDING THE OVERDOSE

You see, his idea of this is weird. He and his wife blame his aspergers and the overdose of his medication on all this and say it's okay. Firstly, I don't even know what the aspergers has to do with this, it gives bad representation on people with autism in my opinion because overdosing on something and sexting a "friend" while you have a wife doesn't mean your autism forced you to do it. His analogy is strange too, it's similar to - If you hit a person while drunk driving, ITS OK ! You were under the influence of drugs and if you accidentally killed that person or seriously hospitalized them, you deserve no jail time because it was definitely not you at the time ! And totally not your fault!!

You see where I'm getting? If you hospitalize someone even if you were under the influence, you will and should face consequences either way. It was your choice to overdose. It was their choice to get drunk. Therefore, I do not feel as much sympathy for him on his side, he chose to go the wrong way and messed up a friendship himself, this is not the other person's fault and entirely understandable if they wanted to break the friendship up over it.

Also, he changes it up.... first, he says the overdose was caused by Sani because their blog post about him, but now it was an "AcCidEnTaL" overdose?... hm.. conflicting... if Sani caused it and you overdosed because they made that post, that's not an accident.

Anyways, on more to Andreas' side

Here he mentions Yulia (Yulia is a woman who was involved in Andreas shenanigans he claims was "the overdose" incident. Andreas knew Yulia since she was 12 (he said it himself over voice messages in their direct messages in the exposing Andreas v3 doc).

It's very funny how he says Sani takes things out of context but uhm we have this....

Wow, Andreas. You MADE her say that so you look better and tried to make her delete an archive that wasn't even hers?... such proof, man. Now you see, Yulia doesn't really consider herself as a victim and this is why i havent mentioned her as one specifically although, either way Andreas has said horrible things to her still and taken her out of context to look better. Yulia doesn't care about him anymore but shared her story for the safety of anyone else this could happen to.

He says the things with Sani are completely fake because there aren't voice messages tied to their chats so theres no physical identity to "prove" it if it was real, and he likes to take advantage of that.

Also his self harming; He shared photos of himself on a trip to the mental hospital on his public server, and Yulia had proof of his self-harm photos he directly sent her as well as his crazed voice messages. He had no way out of the proof Yulia had and saying it was fake at the time would not work, especially since AI and other programs could not replicate photos like they do today, obviously.

He's right. He didn't cheat on his wife.... he attempted to. Luckily he has a wife that says to 'understand him' and have him get help although, clearly something hasn't been working if he still isn't living up to her expectations if he's privately dming people about the situation falsely and not apologizing to Sani at the very LEAST for sharing nudes on his server but whatever.

Either way, if he cheated on his wife or not, thats not really my business and kinda up to her in my opinion, although you see she sees a lot in Andreas. It's such a shame not even one promise she said would work couldn't be kept though due to his ego and delued takes on everything. If this actually worked Andreas might as well just should have owned up to it and apologize to Sani, that's all he could have done instead of tormenting his self through all this but that's his choice...

You see, if Andreas was serious about this, then he would come out publicly and not oddly DM people saying "FAKE FAKE FAKE" like anyone else would. If it's all just misinformation and taken out of context screenshots, then you would have come out about this now publicly and not hide it from your beloved community of people who admire you dearly right? or at least your defenders? I cannot say your whole community myself. But sure make your wife do it for you!

After build ups of DMs, Andreas eventually stopped replying and gave up. No, I do not encourage sending hateful dms to Andreas or anyone else involved. This is to spread awareness about how Andreas ACTUALLY is. Yes, you can like his games all you want and play them, completely fine. Support him, though, and that's breaking the ice, but it's ultimately up to you.

Final note, if you, yes, you Andreas defenders, ever find this and would like to say this is "fake" or "manipulated" as well, I'd like you, in return, give me solid proof that it is first :) I do not accept text-based evidence such as

i have something to say!!! about the differences between victor and elizabeth in the way they experience/express emotion, and what that means for the themes of gender in the novel

i briefly begun (began??) to talk about this in the tags of this post by the magnificent @frankingsteinery (i wanted to add this on to the original post but this ended up being kinda long) and i would like to clarify and expand upon what was said because i theorized a bunch of stuff unsubstantiated like an idiot 😭 raving under the cut

for context here are the tags that inspired my thoughts:

i left my little analysis in the tags because i was really just spitballing on the spot and when i do that i'm usually wrong 😭 but i'd actually find it fun to substantiate some of what i said w evidence from the text

to expand on my ramblings and robin's own additions in their reblog (with brilliant quotes that i did not even consider to search for because i am quite stupid). when i try to explain exactly how elizabeth and victor have differed in their approach to an early parentification role (elizabeth moreso in being groomed to emulate her mother in role and spirit, forced to remain domestic, unworldly, and unable to even entertain self-actualization, since the moment caroline dies she is the eldest female figure in the immediate family and must assume that role of maturity) (victor moreso in the fact that he literally. made a guy when he was like 20), i find this quote from alphonse quite telling:

"...but is it not a duty to the survivors that we should refrain from augmenting their unhappiness by an appearance or immoderate grief? Excessive sorrow prevents improvement or enjoyment, or even the discharge of daily usefulness, without which no man is fit for society."

victor immediately dismisses this advice as being:

"...totally inapplicable to my case; I should have been the first to hide my grief and console my friends, if remorse had not mingeled its bitterness, and terror its alarm, with my other sensations."

he acklowledges what is expected of him from society at large and actively claims himself incapable of it. he is not the reliable figure his family so desperately hoped could be upheld before they came to realize that he is really, irrevocably capricious and mentally unstable.

on the subject of the other quotes added, i think that in them we can see this shift in the family's perception of victor: they begin by expecting him to assume his prescribed role as the family's eldest man (besides alphonse cause he's old and useless) and caregiver, to be a stable and unshakeable foundation on which the family can always rely, but as victor remains on the trauma conga line and spirals into worsening mental health, the happiness of the family is reliant on victor's rapidly fluctuating states of health.

"Come, my dearest Victor; you alone can console Elizabeth..." (side note that after this quote he immediately starts taking about caroline, a bit of a freudian slip on alphonse's part in that he conflates caroline's very existence with a comforting and reliable disposition, and elizabeth is explicitly asked to 'take over' for caroline when she dies)

at the time alphonse writes this, henry (<3) has been purposefully concealing the extent of the "nervous fever" victor has suffered; alphonse is not aware of the trauma his son has undergone and how it has changed him, and so he automatically assumes that victor, upon returning home, now older and more educated, will embrace these expectations.

"'We all... depend on you, and if you are miserable, what must be our feelings?'"

at this point of the novel, however, elizabeth knows how mentally unstable victor is, and is begging him to come back happier than he left. everyone in the family at this point is so conscious and aware of victor's poor health, and thus his explosive and outwardly demonstrative emotions affect the family very deeply. in short their dependency on him shifts from perceiving him as a source of stability to perceiving him as a source of instability.

back to my original comparison!! jesus this is all over the place thank god i'm not an academic.

to reference alphonse's first quote that i referred to. it seems to me that elizabeth, unlike vic, takes alphonse's advice in stride. contrast victor's response to alphonse's quote with this description of elizabeth:

"She indeed veiled her grief, and strove to act the comforter to us all. She looked steadily on life, and assumed it's duities with courage and zeal."

indeed, she demonstrates this; victor often describes her as handling her grief in silence (literal silence, but ykwim):

"...a thousand conflicting emotions rendered her mute, and she bade me a tearful, silent farewell."

"...I turned to contemplate the deep and voiceless grief of my Elizabeth."

in fact, the only time she comes close to being as expressive as victor is when she blames herself for the death of william, and in part her extreme reaction stems from the fact that she percives herself as having failed the duty that her mother bestowed upon her - it is unmotherly to allow such a thing to occur under her watchful, feminine eye.

even in childhood they had a very stark difference in temperament, elizabeth's more traditionally and overtly masculine:

"Elizabeth was of a calmer and more concentrated disposition, but, with all my ardor, I was capable of a more intense application..."

and, especially for a female character, she defies the will of her father several times:

"At first I attempted to prevent her, but she persisted, and entering the room where it lay..."

"Soon after we heard that the poor victim had expressed a desire to see my cousin. My father wished her not to go..."

all this considered, i don't think it's much of a stretch to say that while it should be vic's role, elizabeth is the "man of the house" (a sexist idea in its own right, but im communicating this in terms i think mary shelley might have intended).

tldr i just think this is such a fascinating exploration of family dynamics in frankenstein, and a brilliant portrayal of two opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to people dealing with the undue parental and familial responsibilities they are made to uphold in youth. the lack of academic attention these themes have attracted is absolutely bonkers to me. anyway elizabeth the girlboss and victor the malewife <3

I wanted to ask you — I read today that EPE didn’t allow Sofia Coppola to use any of Elvis’ music in her movie. as for your question, according to the latest interview with Sofia Coppola and Priscilla Presley, it was “Authentic Brands Group” (who owns 85% of EPE) that denied the request to have Elvis’ music featured in the film. As Sofia tells it, it was because ABG only endorse projects that they have originated as they are protective of their brand ⬇️

and like the majority of people who have written about Elvis, Priscilla’s book has the good, the bad, and the ugly, and I expect the film to be that way as well. However, I hope the good completely outweighs “the bad” and “the ugly” just as much as it did in Priscilla’s book

People always hyper-inflate the “bad” stories (of which there are very few) that are mentioned in Priscilla’s book. For example the story where when they were pillow fighting he accidentally gave her a black eye, which is also referenced now as proof that he “abused” her. But they won’t mention how Elvis profusely apologized and felt incredibly guilty, nor do they mention how Priscilla blamed the pills they were taking for Elvis’ temper in that moment, as opposed to Elvis himself

at this point the only reason I’m not excited about this film is just because I don’t think it was done in a way that would reach it’s full potential. as for what Lisa Marie would have thought of this film being made, I’d imagine she would act in a similar way to how Riley is. Supportive but not involved perhaps? This film is really Priscilla’s story. Not Elvis’ story, not Lisa Marie’s story etc. etc. so I don’t expect as many people in the Elvis world to be involved with it as they were with the 2022 film. Like I don’t expect to see Jerry Schilling doing interviews for this movie or girlfriend’s/friends of Elvis to give their review of it

I really really wish Lisa Marie was here, I miss her terribly and I still haven’t fully processed her passing, but I believe that Riley is doing everything her mother would have wanted, and I wish the best for her and her sisters 💗

I’ve seen a lot of your MJ stuff, and there’s a lot of things I have to say (Don’t worry, I’m not an anti lol)

Looking back on the Leaving Neverland BS, I realized that every time one of these guys open their mouths, it’s like we’re talking about different predators. From what I remember, none of them had a “relationship” sense until Safechuck (He said it if felt like they were dating, and saying they started having sex not soon after they met, if I’m not mistaken). With Wade, it was simple touching, before it escalated to actual penetration one time after a few years (Not completely, btw). Chandler and Arvizo never made claims of anything of that nature, if I’m not mistaken. Other smaller accusations also don’t make sense, like Terry George being the only kid Michael had phone sex with.

Speaking more on this, it should ring some alarm bells on the fact that Michael has no straight M.O or “A.O.A”, which is weird in my opinion. Like I said before, it seems like we’re talking about different predators, and how we have no clear age he would be attracted to if we should believe all the allegations. First, it was 13, then 7-14, then 7-18 (Thanks to Safechuck’s train station story), then for some reason, a girl (even though he’s supposed to be attracted to boys, but okay).

Real quick, what do you think about the rumors that Frank Cascio had sued the estate, and it apparently bringing up his own version of allegations, and apparently selling his own collection of Michael items a while back (just like Wade).

MJ sued him over this disgusting kiddie porn book he published in 1997 and he WON and was awarded 2.7 million in damages. Gutierrez fucked off back to Chile and filed bankruptcy and then got caught coaching little boys to lie and say politicians had sexually abused them.

This is the only place these claims were ever made until Wade and James came out after MJ died. Jordan Chandler himself signed legal declarations in the mid 90’s stating this “diary” and these claims were untrue. So did the other members of the Chandler family.

I think they’re just that: rumors. I’ve never seen any proof to substantiate that claim. The only thing I know for sure about the Cascio’ is that they sold fake music recordings w an imposter after MJ died to his Estate for a quick buck. A bit of a vent, if that's okay; I think one of the most frustrating things regarding this chapter has been the overall behavior from the fandom, and this sort of mandatory love for anything from the manga. I get it, when we love something we can't bear other people talking bad about it (I'm the same way with some things), but it's annoying how a lot of us haven't been allowed to criticize or show any anger/disappointment about the chapter. It's upsetting, especially as an Izuku stan, to see other accounts (famous accounts too) claim that if we're disappointed with Izuku then we hate his character. That we're too stupid and cynical to think Izuku did anything wrong at all and wasn't allowed to defend himself. That we can't read if we think Izuku and Bakugo killed Kurogiri, or that Izuku wasn't able to save Shigaraki because after all he did free him from his abuser and made him recognize that he was in fact a crying child. And to each their own I suppose; but putting interpretations of arcs and narratives aside, this overall superiority of "there's nothing wrong with this chapter, you just don't get it so shut up" and the undermining of how a lot of fans feel is seriously infuriating. (Maybe this is how people felt when I'd argue that Armored Might wasn't character assassination lol). I'm just tired of getting called every name in the book for having my own criticisms, and getting accused of hating Izuku, or seeing Shigaraki stans undermined as if they weren't aloud to feel sad about it. Because it's exactly why people loved those characters and arcs so much that they feel such a strong reaction to 423. I'm upset with the weird ooc behavior and lack of introspection from Izuku because I love his character so much. And I'm upset with this chapter because I love this manga and wanna see a well written conclusion for the characters and story.

Nah, I definitely feel the same. So many fans have been taking the words of upset Tenko and Izuku fans out of context (or even outright twisting their words around) and using it as an excuse to be bullies. I'm sorry if folks have been harassing you.

At any rate, I think you have every right to criticize the chapter. Like, I'm very much a silver-lining-look-on-the-bright-side type of guy-- and even I'm having trouble finding anything to like about it lmao 😭. Basically, I liked AFO's conclusion... on the surface, at least. But then my mind goes right back to thinking about Tenko and how AFO's conclusion/treatment is yet another thing that ultimately contributed to his death, and I get mad all over again lmao. Like, an ending where Tenko gets turned into a "cautionary tale" that "everyone learns from" is pretty much the last thing I wanted for his character. It's basically ~*~building a better society~*~ on top of his corpse. And what exactly is his life/death cautioning against exactly? Grooming?? Stranger danger??? Being kidnapped by literally the worst guy alive when you're five years old and getting brainwashed into believing you were born evil???? LARPing????? Like.... it just feels like all of Tenko's suffering was ultimately just used as a stepping stone in order to finally rid the world of AFO-- and like, rationally, I know this isn't the case and I'm oversimplifying things, but like.. the way the rain stops and the sun starts shining as Tenko evaporates... uuuuoohhhgh---

*cough* Anyway! I'm also a staunch Iron Might defender, but like. In that particular case it was very obvious to me why Iron Might was necessary + a fitting end to Toshinori's arc. In Izuku's case, I simply cannot see how chapters 420-423 ultimately do right by his character. Since chapter 1, Izuku becoming "a great hero"/"more heroic than anyone else" was always tied to his drive to save when no one else is able (or willing) to. So these chapters being framed as the "climax/finale' of his character arc-- these chapters where he doesn't stop to think about saving Tenko at all and just focuses on wiping AFO out-- betray the very core of his character while also betraying the very premise of the series. Like. This is bad. This is bad bad and I sincerely, honestly want to believe Hori has something up his sleeve that'll somehow fix things. 😭But even if it is a fake out, and even if Hori reveals Izuku had some sort of plan all along... I don't think it'll undo the damage to the readers' trust atp, sadly.

(Like...! So many of Izuku's defining moments involve him standing up to abusers on behalf of their victims. The moments that define him as a hero have him encouraging those victims to fight back and reclaim agency over their bodies/powers-- but even though Tenko ultimately did fight back, it feels disingenuous to give Izuku any sort of actual credit in this situation bc, again, Izuku wasn't thinking of Tenko at all while he was beating Tenko's body AFO into dust lmao. Like I've been saying, so much of 423 is just indefensibly bad writing and Izuku and Tenko's characters deserved better than this).

That’s how groomers manipulate their victims into doing what they want: by telling them that they can give them whatever they want as long as they concede just a little autonomy. I wish people understood how insane and enabling they sound when they say that it wasn’t manipulation because Sasuke got what he wanted, that’s the exact rhetoric people use to victim blame.

What do people think when they see this? This is a recurring motif, too! When Sasuke is naked, Orochimaru is always watching cause he’s preying on Sasuke. It’s kind of impossible to miss what they’re blatantly implying. The entire point of Orochimaru’s character is to be a transmisogynistic caricature &child predator, he’s literally introduced as a woman in the chuunin exams arc and then his face melts off, and after he assaults Sasuke with the mark, he’s revealed to secretly be a man. His victims are specifically kids, and he even teases Anko when his identity is revealed, asking if she’s jealous that he’s found a new beautiful child to steal. If you’ve dealt with CSA, you know how intentionally cruel he is being with that sentence and how fucking disgusting it was for him to say that.

It’s so incredible to me how people will point out homophobia and transmisogyny in Naruto but when it comes to Orochimaru so many people seem to black out and genuinely believe that Sasuke’s apprenticeship to Orochimaru was completely positive and fully consensual and that nothing weird or manipulative happened there. Opinions and thoughts on House of the dragon/ fire and blood part 2:

- I’ll forever be mad that Jocelyn Baratheon and Aemon Targaryen bloodline did not end up on the Royal line of house Targaryen. Rhaenys should have been queen!! ( fuck you king Jaehaerys)

- Saera Targaryen is not my favorite out of the daughter of queen Alysanne. Yes her parents were not that good to her but her mentioning Maegor in front of her father made me mad as she had no reason to even say that. Good thing she left though like that’s the only good thing she did.

- Vaegon not wanting to marry his sister Daella was fucking reasonable!! Yes what he said to her was horrible but the boy was like ten and he obviously didn’t wanna marry his own sister.

- I think the incest is like grooming because it kind of obvious that it’s not genetics. These Targaryen brother and sisters are taught by their parents that incest is alright (which it isn’t!!) and so I’m not surprise only Baelon and Alyssa married each other. Because obviously vaegon who was taught the same thing didn’t wanna marry his own damn sister and he saw his own parents and elder siblings following the tradition.

there were two claims in all of this of dream being involved with underage individuals - anastasia was literally over 18??? of the two, one story was spread without her consent (as is confirmed not only by her literally asking to be left alone at the start of this, but also by dream and the informant of the burner, who said that she thought the burner would get in contact with the person at hand, directly implying that they never did) and all parties directly involved have stated that no grooming occurred, with retractions taking place on every level. the informant corroborated the statement dream gave for the alleged victim in his video independently after being thrown under the bus by the burner account, and even the other person involved in all of this who was literally hating on dream the entire time on her own twitter corroborated his claims as well. continuing to spread these claims is a kick in the face to the literal person people claim to be trying to protect by championing her as a poor victim and shoving her name and account everywhere when she didn't ask for any of this - believe victims, until the victim is telling you to shut the fuck up after her account was propped up for the entire internet to ogle at without her consent and multiple people dug into her information without asking her supposedly "for her sake". the second story, the original allegations made against dream in 2022, has had multiple people who knew this woman personally (and included picture proof to show that they did) come out independently and say that she's a liar. on top of this, allegations against the accuser have come out (with a whole lot more proof of manipulation than was ever present in the case with her accusations against dream!) and been corroborated by, again, someone who knows the accuser personally, and these allegations have included the fact that certain elements of the original allegations against dream were faked, something that supports what dream said in his video, on top of the other proof provided. but you know, believe victims - not that one, though, or that one. and everyone knows that if you're falsely accused of a crime, then you're not a victim. obviously.

time and time again these people have not only shown that the only victims they're at all willing to listen to are the ones convenient to their story (and the ones that aren't get to be shouted over, ignored, and twisted for use in their own agendas) but they've also repeatedly twisted information to best fit their personal narratives. these people have skin in the game, you know? they didn't exactly approach the situation with dream quietly. they have staked a lot on dream's guilt, including their own personal moral soundness - they've spent over a year of their lives assuring themselves that they're not like the dirty dream stans, they took the allegations Seriously and have denounced a Dangerous Bad Man. the existence of other victims challenges that story, and so they can't acknowledge their existence at all. maybe i'd be less bothered if these weren't the same people who seem so fucking devoted to their being perceived as Authorities On Abuse, who have championed themselves as protectors of the hurt and downtrodden, who go on and on and on about how they take these things with utter seriousness and how much victims matter to them - only to let their internal biases and sheer self-righteousness prompt them to ignore any "victim" that doesn't suit their favored narrative. god forbid these people admit that they were wrong! god forbid they admit that they spent a year of their life in their circles preaching hellfire and brimstone against an innocent man, god forbid they admit that they've harassed people out the door of their circles and been proud of their efforts based on falsified information, god forbid they spend a damn inkling of their time reflecting on their own hypocrisy.

Story: 10/10 Smut: 2.5/5

I absolutely adored this book! I was literally laughing out loud at times, that's how funny it was.

Girl moves back home after having shit luck, ends up in a fake relationship with ex-bad boy rebel turned goopy, sexy as fuck dog dad who she thinks fucked her over when they were teenagers, and works out her many issues with her self-esteem. She has to deal with people from her past who despise her, an asshole coach who thinks he's better than everyone, and ugh.. it was just so damn cute. You definitely need to give this a read.

The only downfall I found with this book was the smut. If you're getting hot and heavy, don't say 'boobs'. I cringed so hard. And don't refer to an erection as a 'foot long sub'. The spice was decent, but the wording felt a bit childish at times. Why can't people just say breasts, tits, cock, or dick? There's nothing wrong with those words!

the thing is something like LO would be FINE if the actual author wasn't so insistent they're actually telling a deep feminist reclaiming of myth that's so well-researched when it's really just their self-insert fanfic about how they really want to bone a blue version of mads mikklesen, tear other women down to make herself look better, and with a randomly "reference" thrown in every 5 months.

like LO has the right to exist but the actual story its telling is so obsessed with the author's obvious desire to be rich and famous and desired by all the hot powerful men and its not even fun to read bc it's only for the author's specific fantasies and that's it (IDC if this is spoilers but the author literally has APHRODITE have a breakdown because she's not considered as hot as persephone who the author literally designed off herself like??? hello???). we could be here all day talking about bad myth adaptations but LO by far is the worse and actually is having irl damage because of how many young girls and women now are escaping abusive grooming relationships bc LO glamorized it to them

thats not even touching the insanely racist stuff LO did with psyche, the current ableism they're doing with hephestus, or the author's awful view of queer identities (as a preview: they said asexuality is something you "get over" and she peddled athena/hestia porn on her defunct patreon before a single LGBT+ character showed up in story. oh also all the maidens are depicted as backwards puritans bc they don't want to fuck men, oooookay)

no yeah like. i have not read past like. the very beginning so i can't speak for the plot issues. but yeah i would have a lot fewer issues with a lot of adaptations if they weren't claiming to be somehow feminist/progressive. like if what you want is wish fulfillment that's fine but like... be honest about it. like i'm an active fanfiction writer i get writing stuff just for the wish fulfillment 😭

i do very much worry though about how people adapt the hades/persephone story and how it very much might lead to young people getting/staying in unhealthy relationships. like it is definitely concerning to me that that relationship is considered ~so romantic~. like if that's your wish fulfillment might be worth asking why.
